Lords of the Fallen finally has a new update. Version 2.0. They have shared co-op. Everything is different. They're fixing the combat. They're fixing the combat. They're fixing the mechanics. They're fixing everything.

Improved combat audio. This is something people complained about even on the demos, etc. And lamp guidance, character creator overhaul. Your lamper is well. Dedicated jump button. You can finally fucking jump. Oh my God. this has been a massive fucking update and uh i'm gonna play it we're gonna play it it it literally came out

today today we are going to play it and let me see they gave me because if you can believe this and this is also another thing i've got to say huge w for wards of the fallen recently there's been a lot of drama and stuff like this for uh you know me especially people have been trying to like shit on me say i'm just terrible person etc uh orders of the fallen sponsor me to play the game So huge Ws in the chat for them because people, this is again another L for, you know, Twitter, Karen's, complainers, etc. And so I always try to support the people that support me as much as I can. Because they did a vote and it turned out that 99% of people wanted male and female. Lords of the Fallen is the Dark Fantasy Action RPG that interweaves the realms of the living and the dead. As players embark upon a perilous adventure to destroy a demon god. Since its launch in October 2023, the game has received over 50 post-launch updates. many shaped by community feedback. With over 4.5 million players across the globe, that dialogue has been instrumental in helping forge the game into what it is today.

And now, we're proud to present version 2.0, the definitive edition of Lords of the Fallen. Lords of the Fallen launched with a seamless co-op mode. Unlike many Souls likes, players could journey together for as long as they chose. With version 2.0, we've taken things a significant step further. From today onwards, Lord of the Fallen now features full shared progression cross-play co-op. Wow.

So, how does it work? When two players join an online session, provided there on the same new game playthrough and have defeated a similar number of the 12 main bosses, you're in a margin of one, both players will now retain all mainline progress. Bossies will remain defeated and beacons will stay lit or otherwise. Additionally, in all online sessions, both players, will now receive all loot, 100% of vigor,

and also have the ability to revive each other, whether host or guest. Version 2.0 also introduces the Lord of the Fallen Free Friends Pass. As of today, anyone who doesn't currently own the game can now create a character and explore the entire tutorial area. Once completed, players can then join any friend who owns the base game in online co-op, ready to continue the journey through Mornsted side by side.

But the question remains. Who do you trust to watch your back? Many praised the combat system in Lord of the Fallen, citing elements including the focus on dual weapon wielding, the ability to switch between one-handed and two-handed attacks mid-flow, and being able to equip up to five different spells at any one time. However, some players voiced how movement could feel floaty, with attacks sometimes lacking sufficient weight or responsiveness.

I think that one of the weakest things about the game was the fact that the first, like, the first, like big area in the game was like a jumping puzzle area and the game's movement was like really rough to do and like you compare this with like blight town for example in dark souls one and like you've already been playing the game now for like probably five to ten hours by the time that you get to blightown and play with amy i'm not going to play with a girl like i mean this this is this is a game for men okay this is this is a guy game come on anyway um the point is that uh What was it saying?

Oh yeah. That's right. So basically, like, there was a lot of jumping and platforming, and that's like whenever people were first getting used to the game. And I think that that was one of the biggest pain points of the game, initially on release. Building on the initial improvements introduced in version 1.7, which included a refined role distance and tighter animation cancellation,

version 2.0 presents a fully revamped character control and combat system in response to fan feedback and extensive. playtesting. Starting with movement, walk and run animations are now much tighter. Thanks to improve physics, your character now stops almost instantly, offering more precise controls in and out of combat. Turning your character is also much faster, with a far greater degree of mobility, while a new dedicated jump button means you can leap at any time. Yeah, it used to be like Dark Souls 1 where your character could perform a jump, but it had to be running at the same. time and they just added a jump button. Precision to platforming. As for combat, every weapon

class has been refined to feel more responsive in battle. The distance with which you move when attacking has been reduced to feel more natural. It's like you would attack and it would throw you off the edge. Remember that? Brought, fuck. To roll in quicker dash, allows for more effective evasions. I'm pretty sure they just watch my way through and they has also been modified to ensure more intuitive enemy selection, while removing the chance to accidentally lock onto environmental elements during combat. Furthermore, the soul-flay attack is now much faster for more effective use mid-combat. It's crazy because I said they should do that too.

Man, that's crazy. While combat fidelity is integral to any souls-like, equally important is how satisfying that combat feels, and that's where audio comes in. As well as both Block and Parry, every single weapon has received a full sound overhaul, resulting in a more intense and gratifying experience with every swing, clash, and thud.

This is the thing to me is like whenever this game originally came out, like I was so sad that, I mean, because like if you look at this image and you ask me what kind of games do you like, I would show you this image. so I'm very glad that they finally fixed a lot of this shit when striking an enemy have also been intensified to ensure you really feel

your weapon sliced through every single layer from armor through to flesh and finally bone Gotcha bitch Another highly popular community request has been the ability to create more attractive and generally realistic looking characters Bigger tities male and female options have been visually enhanced,

while we've also increased the femininity of the female body type with more attractive face options and a more conventionally feminine body shape. adventure. And talking of guidance, your umbra Lamp now has the ability to highlight the path towards your next vestige point, aiding lost Crusaders through the winding passages of Mornstead. Numerous quality of life improvements also arrive with version 2.0, including an option for automatic vigor collection and new button prompts for both grievous strikes and environmental soul plays.
