I feel like anything big from Sony is going to get announced that their state of play, not at Summer Games Fest, right?
Let's be honest, but I guess I could be wrong.
Okay, gentlemen, it's time.
Bloodborn.
How's the volume?
Let me make sure the volume's okay.
I'm going to be turning this up and down just to make sure it's calibrated.
Is this a video game?
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Is this about a game?
Love is making waves

I don't care.
Luminous Arise is a variety-y-y-tac-a-gut-a-gook and beautiful visual
and lots of music-trial-like-lety-tall,
it's always an end-tecuit-not-you-game to be able to be able to

Thank you and enjoy the rest of state of play.
Okay.
All right.
Now let's get to the real games.
What comes after dreaming?
The future.
What?
It isn't just a dream.
It's a promise.
One we're turning into reality.
This is an advertisement for a PlayStation.
With our third generation of Luma filament and
an advanced generative AI.
I knew it.
I could tell it was stupid.
We were shaping the line between dreams and reality.
What's the Starfield ass shit?
We create life for our future.
Delphi Corporation.
Video games.
Wait, this is a show about video games?
Let's see about getting passed through to Earth.
What's this?
And why are these things trying to kill us?
Oh.
Whoa. Okay.
There you are.
What the fuck?
You pets me up.
Capcom.
Zero three, three, six, seven.
They are pregnant.
Oh, whoa, hold a second.
Don't you have a name or something?
What is this?
Get behind me.
Okay.
Just bring this kid with you?
Neutralize us.
Looks like we're gonna have to fight our-
Hang on, honey.
I need to shoot this robot.
What the?
Bypassing person second firewalls.
Oh my god.
Initiating hat.
They made a...
It's a realistic Pymon.
I would try that.
That seems okay.
Sure.
Hey, uh, D.I...
I said I am D.
Okay, okay.
Look.
How about we call you Diana?
I heard D.I.
2000.
Very sorry.
2006. It's real. Okay. I mean, that seems like a decent game. That could be good. Sure. If it's a Capcom game, I would be...
Yeah, that seems all right. The game was announced in 2020. Oh, no.
Oh, hey, today is Saturday, which means curry town.
Awesome. I love curry. Speaking of curry, apparently the current present is actually a humane.
What does that mean? It's okay. I'll get it.
Swim.
Romeo, stay with me.
Grandpa, who's gonna die?
Romeo, listen up.
You're gonna die in about 15 seconds.
Seriously?
Uh-oh.
Don't worry.
I made this just in case the dead gear life support system.
Don't move, okay?
I like this.
You're already half dead.
What?
You're half dead man.
No way, that's pretty lame.
Dead man!
I'm not on your dead man
What? What is... Okay
Okay, it's okay
Reminds me a little bit of Dead Rising, you know?
Remember that?
I mean, it's a sword game, right? I'll play this.
Yeah, I would 100% play this.
Could be good.
Romeo is a dead man coming 2026.
Yeah, I'd play a.
That looks decent.
Looks repetitive.
Yeah, it could be.
That was Grandpa's voice.
Are you like a spirit?
I'm on your back.
What?
Okay.
Next.
Seems decent.
What did you guys think of that one?
What'd you guys think of that one?
Yeah.
Looks get so it might be good.
Yeah, it's a good way to look at it.
I like that.
Uh, Grosoppa'an,
New Yorker is a dead man
It's a

This game is,
this is the

Romeo Star Geyser

Yeah, it looks like

It's all right.

It's a

I'm not seeing

And then, uh, team one-outed, and

And why is the title is,
why is coming with that, man?
That's,
please, so,
oh, please,
it's just over-a-mitted-for-the-one-st-year-old.
Oh, thank you,
for today of play,
for me,
please.
This Silent Hill.
Suck-ko,
where go?
Where to go?
This is a very much
Yeah, I remember seeing, I think this is the same character, same vibe.
I would try this. I've never played a Silent Hill game before.
You traitor. Oh shit.
Ooh.
Oh.
Oh.
Looks a little bit too familiar.
Uh-oh.
Who is it?
Oh my god, she's in San Francisco.
It's a fint zombie.
That's sure, doesn't look very good, but okay.
I don't think it's really a game you play for the gameplay.
I can fix her.
I'm gonna...
...is this a game for girls with personality disorders?
Sorry, I don't mean to repeat myself.
Is this a game for girls?
It's called Silent Hill.
Uh-oh.
This is some weird-ass shit.
I would try this game out.
I don't really think it'd be super interesting to me to play,
but I would at least try it out.
Yeah, I mean, it's...
Oh, shit, it comes out in like two months.
Or three months.
Wow.
Yeah, then I definitely play it.
For sure.
It's generic?
I don't know if it is or not.
Never played a single Silent Hill game.
16th century?
Okay, now we're cooking.
The castle has been cited again.
Okay.
The church's orders are absolute.
These human sacrifices must be stopped.
Damn.
We will track the ethereal castle,
break its gates,
and exterminate the creatures that dwell within.
So it's kind of like a mental idea-togynist.
The demon-in-self will fall by our hand.
This mission will test the limits of your courage.
You will face horrors beyond your darkest imaginings.
Beasts that defy reason.
That's cool.
Creatures born of your darkness.
It's alright.
I mean, like I would play any of these games.
I would be behind a main.
Like I played Blasphemus too. I love it.
It's good, wait, you guys said it's game in the year for 2020, for 2009-21.
Alright, 2001.
With me.
Come on,
Ross.
Reefar!
Tonight,
we start our mission.
Bloodstained Scarwood engagement.
Wait,
it's gonna take over a fucking year
to make this game?
This is like a Metro Athenia.
Okay, all right, next.
I think it's the same game, right?
So you've come.
Talks of the church.
Right into the palm of my house.
Okay.
The visuals of Shinjuku that I'm seeing are a hellscape, I can't quite put into words.
What's this?
You've somehow been sent back in time eight years.
But the situation here is critical.
What is this?
I'm counting on you, agent.
Digimon?
No, there's no way, right?
Our ultimate mission is to uncover the causality between these anomalies.
It's probably a phase electron lifeworm.
Is that what you call us Digimon?
I'll always be right here with you.
Who exactly are you working for?
I remember you guys.
Who or what is that?
You really don't know anything about the digital world?
We have been enemies for years now,
but this is the first time the Titans have launched an attack on this scale.
We now believe most of the anomalies we've been dealing with stem from Digimon.
It seems the upcoming battle is truly unavoidable.
The world on this end is running out of time.
I think that, I think Pokemon and Digimon are having a constant.
competition on who can make the worst game.
Do the Titans not care about the end of the digital world?
Stop it!
I don't know who's winning.
It's a tough race.
The world tree has been attacked.
It's just a great one.
We must protect the world from them.
For this purpose and this purpose alone,
where you born.
If that thing opens,
then we'll be swarmed by digital.
Attack.
Please, everyone.
Lend me your strength.
Everything's riding on you.
To move forward into the future.
We must fulfill our mission.
Agent.
Yeah, I don't know about that one, boys.
I don't know about that one.
Ah, geez, dude.
Ah, geez, dude.
All right, let's see the next one.
Okay, Final Fantasy 17, right?
The sweeping epic returns.
Oh, father.
Abandon not your way with children of Ivelace,
but deliver us from our sins.
Oh, this looks good.
He might know salvation.
Okay.
If you feel wrong,
blame yourself or the father.
Why do you fight?
Why walk this path of subterfusion, conflict?
The powerful...
The hell is this.
The hell is this.
Heavens fall upon your crown.
This vial shabwe has gone on long enough.
I never played this before.
Final Fantasy Tactics.
So is this like a,
is this a new game or a remaster?
When your father showed us
It's hard to make a whistle of a blade of grass.
It's a remaster?
Oh, okay.
Classic and enhanced.
Hi, everyone.
I'm Sean Benson.
And I'm Sid Schumann here to deliver news and release dates
for games coming to PS5 later this year.
What about the Blood War?
What about Blood War?
We hope you enjoyed that first look at Final Fantasy Tactics,
The Evil East Chronicles.
So...
The game will include two versions of the original PlayStation Classic,
the enhanced version, which
features improved graphics, fully voiced dialogue, refined gameplay, and much more, as well as the
classic version, which brings a faithful recreation of the 1997 original to modern consoles.
Final Fantasy Tactics, the Evil East Chronicles, launches on PS5 and PS4 September 30th,
and will be available for pre-order later today.
This next game is something really special.
When I first played it, I laughed so hard, I almost barfed.
Let's check it out.
But is there maybe just toilet?
Toilet?
Yeah, sorry, I just need to pee.
How badly?
It's just normal.
Bad.
Just go behind this bush, I'll wait.
I can't wait.
Pea shy.
No.
Yeah, no, you don't want me watching.
You can watch.
In baby steps, all you have to do is carefully placed one foot in front of the other.
Actually, this looks really good.
Which is easier said than done.
Yeah.
Main character Nate requires some pretty deliberate movement to make even the simple.
list progress.
Yeah, no, I'm gonna play the fucking open world experience filled with oddball characters.
You probably wouldn't want to play this game yourself, but like for streamers, it'd be fun to watch.
Without a map, the best toilet on the mountain.
Oh, good.
Definitely check this one out when it comes to PS5 on September 8.
It'll be a good stream game to watch.
I don't think it'd be good to play.
What's this?
Hirogami is a unique action adventure title from Bandai Namco Studios Singapore.
Okay.
In this journey to save your origami home, you'll transform into paper shapes with distinct abilities.
That's a cool idea.
Including a paper airplane, a nimble frog, a hearty armadillo, and a powerful ape.
That's a cool idea.
Master the art of folding when Hirammi arrives on PS5 later this summer.
Woke.
Sid, why don't you tea this summer?
sticks sweat out.
Thanks, Sean.
The Hot Shot series has been with PlayStation from the very beginning, and its latest installment
Everybody's Golf Hot Shots boasts its largest character roster ever.
Compete in courses from 10 different regions around the world.
Each with weather effects and new nighttime variants.
Who asked?
Pre-orders begin later today.
And those who do will get Bandai Namco's iconic Pac-Man as an early unlockable character.
Oh, God. Who cares?
Everybody's golf hot shots drives on to PS5, September 5th.
They're going to announce Bloodborn on this one for sure.
Ninja Guide and RageBownd is a challenging new entry in the long-running action franchise.
Yeah, I've seen this.
From the makers of the Blasphemous series,
RageBound stars dual protagonists from rival clans,
forced to combine their souls and skills against a demon of us.
By the way, this is going to be fucking awesome.
And long-time fans will really love the pulse-pounding soundtrack
featuring guest composers from the original series.
Yeah, like, I actually think this is going to be cool.
Yeah.
Like, it's like one of those like super hard, super Nintendo games, you know?
Ninja Guided and Ragebound arrives July 31st on PS5 and PS4.
I might try that on day one.
We'll see what happens.
Can a PS5 run this?
From the game Bakers, Cairn is a survival climbing experience.
where you must carefully plan your ascent of a deadly mountain.
Manage balance and stamina to discover secrets.
Hey! Hey, wait for me!
Encounter other climbers.
I'm Marco. Nice to meet you.
And survive the harsh conditions of the climb.
You can give it a try yourself with a demo that arrives later today.
Oh, that's cool. I don't even know if I'd want to play the demo, to be honest.
That's all for us, but there's still a lot of state of play to come.
This next reveal comes from the game preservationist at Digital Eclipse.
Nothing can prepare you for their next collection, arriving later this year.
Next collection, is this a bunch of old games again?
We knew pretty early on that the game was fun to play.
People were excited about it.
The most rewarding part of it is just seeing people react to it.
This is a flop fest so far.
Am I crazy?
We knew that we were on to something.
I think this is such a flop fest.
It was such a shock to see this game.
this game. I was like, I can't believe this game exists.
Wow.
Mortal Kombat.
Is that game dead?
It became something that added to the mystique of Mortal Kombat.
We're showing you a part of a world that is much larger.
I don't see one game I would play.
I would play that one with like that guy and the little girl playing together.
That's the only one I would play.
Oh, and the Ninja Guiden one.
The origami one I would also probably play.
There was no template to make the games.
It's a bit of the Wild West.
Every part of that game is an expression of who we were and what we wanted to do.
Yeah?
Flawless Victory.
Okay, cool.
Wow, that's amazing.
So they're remaking old games.
Bloodborn. Let's go. Let's get it.
Don't tell me this is another advertisement for it.
advertisement for a fucking another peripheral what is it this time oh it's a fighting game
pass ah that looks kind of cool the design on that's nice it does it looks nice
control here we have evidence of an enemy intruder come out guy there he is I mean y'all
y'all already know right you already know oh loading like this
of revolution.
All right, commander.
Burn, baby.
Take this.
Here comes to number one.
I'm hyped now.
You won't get away from me.
Time for you to taste some real pain.
What's the matter?
I'm over here.
Go back to your own world.
I never finish this game then.
I need to, after 20 years, I need to actually finish it.
I played it.
I never did it.
Yeah, I feel like I've been high.
Yeah, I feel like I've been hyped about this all the time.
What's this?
What's that Astrobot?
Catch it!
Yeah, those are things an Astrobot.
What the fuck is that?
What the fuck is that?
Ape is skate!
Collected one out of 435.
That's cool.
It's a mini-game? Yeah, I guess so.
Alright.
Spirit stones.
Oh.
Shining stones imbued with human kinds.
never-ending dreams.
Yeah.
Since time immemorial, this power has been the impetus for human wars.
Neo3? I don't know about that. I thought Team Ninja was making another game.
Such an ominous atmosphere and one thick with the presence of Eratima.
After Rise at the Ronin, any game these guys make, I'm gonna play it.
I'm on his being real.
What makes a Shogun?
Wait Neo 2?
Here is my answer.
That's cool.
So is it open world or what?
Foolish of you.
Yeah, we 100% can play this one.
Depths of hell.
It is.
Wow.
Neo 3.
Holy shit.
Who might you be warrior?
Where is us?
Rudy Yopways.
Early 2026, for sure.
Well, maybe I'll play the second one by that time.
I won't.
I won't.
I want to see more about the new ninja guy.
That game was fucking insane.
That game looks fucking insane.
So you have two different types of fighting styles.
Stage is open field,
so, it's open fields.
Okay, so it's going to be open world.
Okay, so it's going to be open world.
Dimms available.
Game is available.
so I'll be able to be able to beysh
and you'll play with the next to-home-o-home-you-go-bye
to, please, go-kighty-good-
Bro, didn't they do the same thing with Ninja Guidant 2?
Or they just said, yeah, by the way, it's out.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Maybe I should play that after this.
For me, it's all I've ever known.
My whole one...
Glad they're doing more demos?
Yeah, Team Ninja's, uh...
I support them, I think they're great.
I was raised with this city's shadow.
It's a VR game?
Oh, it's a VR game?
Did they say, is it also on PC, or is the demo only on PlayStation 5?
Did they say that?
He was 5, okay.
Let me make sure I have my control.
This city hides many lost and legendary treasures.
Locked away.
Who's waiting to be found.
Waiting to be taken.
DEI games.
Wait, was there a black person on the screen?
Oh, no.
Come with more trouble than all.
this. A woman?
I thought I was dead.
It's even worse.
And who are you?
Thief VR.
I heard that game was popular. I never played it.
Next.
Let's go to another sword game.
What the fuck is this?
Oh, this is cool. That looks cool.
Cleo hasn't covered a formula
for a cure, but she's keeping it safe in her tower.
All right.
Hey, you, you got some hosen.
Marketland seems a bit tense today.
I hurt some of the cabin with another Tywalker.
The guy.
Ever since the Great Flood, Ellen, my dear planet, has been dying.
Plastemia has taken everything from us.
That's COVID-20.
But you Tybwalkers are all connected.
And it's up to you now.
To use that power.
Don't they just have that Dark Souls?
Sony's really going in a lot with these experimental games, you know?
I gotta respect it.
Will you help us?
Yeah, I don't know if that one really vibe with me or not.
It's alright, but like, yeah, it's alright.
I'm intrigued. It's okay.
Hi, I'm Nicholas Doucet, the game director of Astrobot.
It's a pleasure to be back today to share more news with you.
What's the last few months he has been in the world of Astro.
Astrobot launched last September to such encouraging feedback.
Yeah.
Even receiving a few others we are truly greatly for.
in October we added five speed run levels followed by a Christmas special packed with festive surprises and then earlier this year the vicious void galaxy made its appearance adding yet more new challenging levels
of which came at no additional cost and today I am pleased to announce that later this month you will be able to enjoy five brand new challenge levels in Astrobot bringing the total to a whopping 90 planets
Damn.
A new special bots would be there too, including Atsu from Ghost of Yote,
alongside other fans' favorites, but these ones are a surprise.
And finally, the Astrobot Dual Sense wireless controller will return later this year,
with a slight twist, so be on a lookout for more news coming soon.
From all of those at Tim Asobee, thank you all for the amazing reception you gave our game,
and enjoy the rest of the show.
I really should have played more of that game.
People loved Astrobat.
I was so mad when it was good.
Brought shit made me pissed.
What's this?
Sea rimnance.
What is this?
What is this?
See in Sony?
Then it hit me all so clear.
What hell is this?
What fuck is this?
Memories go, memories stay, chasing the sound of the waves
It always slaves, it always stays, standing on the beach all day
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
Okay, six, six
Wow
Ah, this is kind of cool
Alright
Wait, it's a turn base game?
What the hell?
Expedition Sony?
Probably not, right?
That's nice, it's lovely, that's cute.
Pinocchio? Yeah, it's all right. I mean, maybe I'll play that and there's nothing else going on.
Visioner, I don't know what any of those are.
Okay. Yeah. Let's see some game play. So you got some dolphin shit and you're surfing around?
Maybe there's an audience for a game like that. I mean, I don't know. Yeah, I couldn't tell you.
Hi, everyone. I'm Kristen Zatani. That was a new look at Sword of the Sea, a visually striking
adventure from the team behind Abzu and the Pathless.
Journey's big success. Good for them. We're excited to announce that Sword of the Sea will launch this
summer into the PlayStation Plus game catalog.
What's this?
On June 17, Remedy brings otherworldly action to game catalog with FPC Fire Break.
In this cooperative FPS set in the paranormal world of control, you and two fellow agents
must confront and contain the reality-warming chaos found within the oldest house.
I think I saw this before.
Fun and short bursts or deep dives.
FPC Firebreak launches day one into game catalog on June 17.
The PlayStation Plus Classics
catalog welcomes several new titles this summer.
Oh, great. Let's release a...
The PS2 version of legendary immersive sims,
Dave, X, arrives June 17th.
What is this shit?
In July, Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4
joined the service just in time for the second season
premiere of Twisted Metal, which arrives July 31st
in select countries, including Peacock
in the U.S.
Additionally, two of Capcom's most beloved games
from the original PlayStation are set to join the classics
lineup.
Man.

Come on, let's get something better than this.
His parents cut their own rope to save him.
He watched them fall, then found his way off that mountain.
He was 11 years old.
All right.
He then started a grand tour of every major boarding school in Britain.
James Bond.
Always at the top of his class.
Always at odds with authority.
Same thing in the Navy.
His superior all praise his instincts.
And they're all in need of early retirement.
Nobody knows what to do with him, Mom.
No.
And I suspect he fits.
the same way. But what he did in Iceland...
What he did in Iceland was insubordination.
It was ill-disciplined, utterly reckless.
He only survived thanks to blind luck.
Give me one good reason to put him in the program, Ma'am.
I think you just covered them all, Greenway.
It's really quite simple.
Bond is a bullet without a target.
Let's give him one.
Is it Tom Cruise?
Do you have an appointment?
The name's Bond.
James Bond. He's with me.
And you are? Don't think we've had the pleasure.
No, let's not get ahead of ourselves, James.
We're facing a situation of the utmost delicacy.
I need all my pieces on the board.
009 is a master manipulator.
Whatever the end game is, we won't see it come.
Jet lag. Gets me every time.
She's not your friend, Bond. She's an asset.
With respect, man.
To hell with that.
The driving looks kind of cool.
What do you do, James?
Lately.
Head hunting.
I don't think I'm really sold by this.
It looks okay.
I mean, maybe I would try it out, but...
I suppose this is another teachable moment.
It looks like a game...
It looks like this is one of those more movie-than-game-type things.
That's just, uh, that's my, uh, my read on it.
Which is like, I mean, okay, that's fine.
It's just not really my style.
I'm Hacken Abrak, CEO of Iron Tractive.
Yeah?
The team is thrilled to announce 007 first flight.
He will experience Jim Bond as a young aircrewman in the Royal Navy.
Before the Tocito and the Martinez,
as he first steps into the world of espionage,
striving to earn his double-o status.
Everyone at Iron Tractor has poured their passion and dedication
into crafting an experience that honors the legacy of Bonnard.
harnessing our 25 years of agent expertise.
This is just the beginning of our journey with Duffler 7.
And we can't wait to share more with you soon.
I'm just not, you know, it's just not really, not really my kind of thing.
Yeah.
Next.
There's another ghost of Yotai trailer?
It's gotta be right.
You know what this reminds me? I didn't play.
I know.
Played Rise of the Ronan though.
Soon, guys.
Sure.
You're still with me?
What is that in?
Oh my god, a trailer for a trailer of a trailer.
Are you kidding me?
What's this?
What's this?
What's this?
You know what's friend you're
I'm not gonna do you.
You're gonna do it.
Hibranium's shield
only,
I'm gonna' amherer gonna.
Oh,
good at least.
Look,
That's kinda cool.
Okay.
I mean, the Kyiyeye N-D, Spider-Man.
Kyi-na-Mu-Khylety, Miko-T-T-Khylety.
What is this?
What is this?
I mean, the character model is pretty cool?

For me,
T'allé people who are
even
I don't like this
a lot
I don't
anymore
What the fuck?
What the fuck?
I feel like when I was a fighting game fan, I don't like this a lot.
That's cool.
Yeah, that actually was pretty cool.
Yeah.
Alright, best so far.
What?
Oh, I thought my thing about that.
Oh, what's this?
Is this real life?
Or is this really good graphics?
Playstation's your friend from,
suddenly, like,
to go to go to,
and,
I'm going to what's what's there,
this is unreal six?
Yeah, this is real life?
This is real life?
The American act of the world of Marvel
the cacto game
to make a new one of the
idea of the idea of it.
Yeah, I really, I really
I'm really,
it really,
um,
the world-to-any-and-a-poh-o
and I'm just,
I'm really,
really,
really, really,
really,
the inspiration for
working on this project
really came from a place
of pure fandom,
and wanting to say, why isn't PlayStation in this space?
So PlayStation approached us with this vision
to bring Marvel back to the forefront of the tag-fighting genre.
And that got us really excited
because we had worked with them before on successful stuff
like the Marvel Spider-Man franchise within Sonniak.
When it came to approaching Marvel,
you have to kind of first float the idea
and let them know, hey, you know,
we're thinking about approaching a complex arc system works
to make a fighting game.
We'd love to partner with you
to do this really great collaboration
Would you be interested?
When they named the developer, that really perked up our ears.
It's always refreshing to work with a team that will take on the challenge of tackling Marvel,
putting on spin on it.
And there's just upper cutting that challenge into the stratosphere.
And that's what you get with this team.
I mean, they couldn't make something boring if they tried.
The chairchow from,
if you can't do it,
that's what I'm doing,
that's what I'm doing this,
I missed,
Wait, I miss Bloodbourne?
The tricky thing is that most people,
The thing is that most fans, including myself, see this as a sacred genre for Marvel.
The tough part is finding a partner that's crazy enough to take on the task because you either
do something like this big and bold or you don't do it at all.
I feel like I have a good grasp on their art style and how they would approach certain IPs.
You come in with your kind of own expectations of here's what I would expect to see from
Arc System Works when they take on a Marvel IP.
And what came up was something that went beyond that.
I do feel like fighting games that introduce more than two characters or...
They're like overly complex.
...and unlike Michael's kind of...
I don't know if there's a big market for it.
...and what's a much, like,
you know, like, you're, like,
you know, like, you're, like,
more ARC's, you're like,
...or-you-a-marser-you-how-harses to you,
...and-a-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-...
...
I remember personally...
I saw it's usually one-d-one.
Iron Man was really when I felt we had something special.
So, yeah, Iron Man was really cool.
That's really cool.
That's true.
It's really, like,
kind of, like,
AukesystemWorks-Rex-Rash-Rash-Rash
design,
that's really very
like,
oh, this is really,
like,
this sleek fighter jet.
I think luxury-raged car
mixed with a brick house,
and the fact that they added anime,
like a gunned.
Yeah.
Just felt really naturally at home.
Yeah, it's badass.
One of the mantras that we have for this project is from Japan to the world and really trying
to take not just the IP but game-pland mechanics and say what can we really take from Japan, the
creators that are doing awesome work here and bring that to the global platform.
Yeah, the character models look really cool.
I really cool.
I like them.
I like them.
I like them.
The game, in the team battle in one-eighthont-year-old, most really,
really, really, you guys think?
What are you guys saying?
What are you guys amazing?
characters. It's not simply just the visual. It's also the gameplay mechanics and adding in that
what is that pop, what is going to be something that's different? Up until now, you've seen
tag fighters that have 2v2, 3v3, we felt like we just had to go 4v4. And in doing so, we found a lot of
unique and fun ways to change up the gameplay that I think players are going to be very excited
to see. This, this time, this time, we're trying to challenge to, in this, we're not
Can't you, can't not?
Don't.
Can't think.
Learning four characters is extremely daunting, but the team at Arc System works has found a way to design a system that adapts to your play style.
Yeah, it's a lot, man.
So you can either duke it out as just the leader and three assists, or you can tag in your assist to swap the leader and change the matchup on the fly.
I don't think a lot of people thought this day would be here would come.
You know, this has just been an awesome journey, and I'm excited that we get to be able to share it with all the fans out there.
I'll tell you right now, a lot of fighting games, they never get to experience.
this level of production and it's just a dream to even be working with these two great partners.
It's not, it's not just a business to work-gummy
there not, so, so-seye-of-all-your-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-
to make a good game to be a fan to do this.
The three companies have come together to do this, and I think we really are going to make something magical here.
This is a four-by-four, bro, I got to...
This is a lot.
It's a lot.
and character-in-out-of-me-out-contents
to the other than
that's a whole lot.
That's a whole lot.
Now, I'm just gonna be
just be right.
Just try it.
Yeah, I never played a fighting game seriously.
You're still with me?
Yep.
Hmm.
The upcoming battle is truly unavoidable.
No, no, they're gonna announce blood-borne after this.
Yep.
No, it's not gonna be over.
No.
No, they're about to announce it just a second.
This is the outro?
Yeah, I know.
they're going to have, they'll be like, oh, it's going to be one more.
Oh, my God.
There was like three good ones and the rest of them were bad.
I think that, like, okay, so maybe, you know what?
This is the truth.
There was a lot of people talking and, like, hyping this up.
And you're right that kind of I went into this with like an A expectation.
And like, I went into it with expectations.
And because of that, not meeting those expectations kind of probably makes it a little bit harder for me.
like I'm not like I think I expected an eight or a nine and like maybe this is actually only a six but because I expected so high and it wasn't there I feel like okay well now it's like a four right and so like maybe I'm overreacting a little bit but I definitely don't feel like not a lot really came out that was interesting here other than Neo3 I mean to me right I mean I don't know maybe what did you guys think what was the which one did you guys get the most excited for?
Let me go back. I'll mute this and just go through some of these.
So the ending, okay, yeah, there you go.
And Pragmata, yeah, I think this is probably the most interesting game so far.
Like, I thought it was kind of cool.
This was just like, I thought it was okay, right?
It's like one of those like experimental type games.
Like, the problem that I have with the game like this is that if you just look at the gameplay,
it just looks like super messy and like really hard to like actually decipher what's actually happening and
going on and I feel like that's something that's a problem for a lot of games nowadays is that they
just get so messy with like effects and colors and you know spells and shit yeah there's way too
dank that's the point yeah but I don't like the point right it's like that's like saying well that's the
point of like a the point of like a music rhythm game is to have music rhythm in it well like okay
well then that that rules me out as somebody as somebody who's excited about it right i mean like i'm
giving my opinion of the game like obviously like this isn't like really a lot of this isn't really
objective it's just my opinion uh this also silent hill looked okay but there was nothing really
about this that looked like super great it just looked all right and uh yeah uh no bloodborne too
bad year for gaming i don't know i think there's been a lot of good games that have come out
and like this game here like this looked pretty cool
Like, I mean, it just looks like a lot of the Metroidvania games, and this is kind of an issue that I've had with some of them, is that whenever I see the game, because it's like a very, like, the space of these games has been so explored that very rarely do any of these games actually kind of innovate on the genre, and they just end up basically doing the same thing again, which is like, that's fine.
Like, it's the same as I've said about Eldon Ring.
Like, if you just remake Elden Ring every year, I would play it every year, right?
I don't care.
But other than that, I mean, yeah, I don't know.
Metroidvania games are lame.
Yeah, I mean, I like them.
I enjoy them because I played Castlevania and Metroid back in a day, right?
And so it's something that's cool.
But at the same time, like, I don't think this is really like, I mean, that Mandraora
game that came out like on PC a while ago in terms of like style and design, like really
appeals to me a lot more than this game, for example.
And I didn't even play that.
Then you go to the Digimon game.
Like this one to me, just like kind of.
I mean, it seemed okay, right?
I mean, but I don't even know what kind of gameplay this is.
It seems like it's turn-based because like you have like this is, you know, clearly like what it is.
It's like basically like, you know, Sony Pokemon.
And what's saying is made is by Iragashi, same guy that made Castlevania Symphony of the Night.
Well, and that's the thing, right?
And like the Ninja Guideon team for that that game is made by the Blastomist team.
So like I don't even think that their games are going to be bad.
Like I'm not trying to say they're going to be.
be bad. What I'm saying is that like I don't think that they necessarily appeal to me as like a gamer.
Right. And like there's just and also there's so many of these games. It's hard for me to keep up with all of them.
Now, uh, the Final Fantasy Tactics, I never played this game. When it came out, I never played it.
So I have no opinion on it, but I heard it was really good. I've only heard good things about this game.
Uh, let's see. We'll go move forward. Oh, this origami game. I actually thought this one looked really nice.
Like, I don't know about how you guys felt about it, but like the way that you could turn into like different origami shapes and everything.
This seems like a cool and interesting idea.
I think that Sony's leaned a lot into kind of creating the, like Sony makes a lot of experimental games, I think.
And they try like concepts and ideas that are really kind of off the wall.
And I think that because of that a lot of the concepts and ideas really don't hit.
But every once in a while they do hit a W.
Like for example
Most of these games aren't Sony
They're just showed here
Well yeah but I'm saying like
Sony chooses to spotlight these games
Right I mean like whether they're making them or not
They're still spotlighting them and promoting them
And having their brand defined by them
And I think that's really what matters
But like you have things like this like
I mean I don't really see how anybody could get hyped up
About like a game that looks like it's from 2010 about golfing right
Like I mean maybe this is just like a total audience
That I'm like not even aware of
But like I don't see how anybody cares about this
like I mean really who's playing this like where where where is the audience for this game I have no idea
golf games are fun as fuck I mean this one in terms of like gameplay as I said like I think
Blasmus 2 was a 9.5 game right out of 10 like a truly phenomenal amazing game probably one of the
best Metroidvania's ever played so like I mean whenever I hear that it's being made by the same
team like I would say that like that's awesome and like it's super exciting like I would 100%
play this but at the same time like you know like there's a certain amount of and like maybe i don't know
like really if you guys feel the same way about this but like i played a lot of these games like whenever
i was a kid and it feels like they're releasing too many of them now like there was like a certain
like uh novelty of them and i feel like now that novelty is worn off because they've been
released and uh put out so often like that's just the way that i see it and that's how
I feel about it. And like with this, this Karen game, like this is another one of those like
experimental type games where it's like, I just can't really see like, where's the audience for a
game like this? Like how do you, how do you greenlight investment and time on a game like this?
Like, how do you make your money back on this game? I just can't, I don't know, I'm just not
really seeing it, right? Like, I just, I don't know. It's DEI slop. I mean, if it was a guy and,
you know, it was a white guy with a beard, I'd still say.
okay, I don't really care that much about the game.
Like, I don't think it's really about that too much.
You got to believe, Simps and Women?
Yeah, but, like, how many Simps and women actually play games like this?
Like, and that's what I always wonder, like,
like, does this ever actually translate the sales?
Does it actually translate to, like, does it manifest in success?
And, like, you're talking about, like, Mortal Kombat.
Like, the new Mortal Kombat's basically an L.
I think that, like, unironically,
probably one of the most interesting and kind of the coolest-looking things they added
was this new game pad.
I actually I thought their game pad looked really cool.
Like this right here, this looks awesome.
And I mean, it goes without saying,
but obviously like Metal Gear Solid I'm super excited for, definitely.
Like, of course I am.
But I'd say the game that I'm the most excited for out of this,
there's two of them.
There's Pragmata and Neo3.
Those are the two main games that I'm thinking to myself,
like these are really good.
But this is really another opinion.
that I have and you know you guys can you know like say whatever you want about this but like
I think that team ninja's engine and their graphics are becoming a bit dated and I think that it
looked that way with Rise of the Ronin and like the Rise of the Ronin felt like a game that came out in
2018 and I feel like they haven't really updated and innovated their style since maybe Neo2 or
Wu Long Fallen Dynasty and I just feel like all the team Ninja games kind of and it's weird because
I don't think that's even entirely true because if you look at, for example, I think it's Ninja
Guidon 4, that game looks really phenomenal. It looks amazing. But like Neo 3 does look like it
came out like in 2018, right? Am I crazy for that? Can't even play Neo 2? I know that. I'm not
talking about the gameplay. I'm talking about the style and the graphics. I think that it just
looks kind of dated. That's all. And that's, I played, I beat, I played, I played Rise of the Rone
for a hundred hours.
Like, where is it?
Some people don't think I'm lying, right?
Where to go?
Yeah, I played the game.
I beat the entire game.
And so, like, I...
It's not like I don't like the game.
I thought it was amazing.
I loved it.
I did every side quest.
I did every zone.
I completed everything 100%.
So it looks exactly like Neo2.
Yeah, exactly.
And I feel like they've just released...
I think, like, the last five titles they've released
kind of looked the same.
and I do think that's an issue.
Now, it's not a big issue,
and it's not like I'm going to fucking like,
oh, I hate this,
but it's just my opinion, right?
VR, nobody cares about VR.
This game, again, it seems like another one of those
experimental, like, kind of Sony games.
Like, it's one of those things where,
who gives a shit about graphics?
I don't give a shit about graphics either,
but I understand that they are a selling point.
Graphics are like sprinkles on a cupcake.
I'm not going to,
to eat the cupcake based off of the sprinkles,
but the sprinkles can sometimes add a little bit of flavor,
and they make it taste a little bit better.
So that's really, yeah, they are, it's art.
And I feel like there's been a lot of games.
Like I see a game like this, for example,
or like the Astrobot game, it's kind of interesting
because you know what really I liked about Astrobot?
Is that Astrobot was a video game.
It wasn't a story.
It wasn't a, you know, pretend Hollywood,
fucking, you know,
Endeavor. It was a
literal fucking video game.
You jump through zones,
you did things, there wasn't any bullshit.
And I think that
Sony, and this is, I think it started
happening, like there were two
points where I think Sony started like
really focusing on this. I think
obviously the first one is the last of us.
That's the main one. And then the second one
is the new god of war.
And I feel like they started taking this approach
where they go with these,
they try to just make games that are in between movies and movies and video games a lot.
And I feel like in a way that kind of, like, that doesn't really appeal to me a lot.
Like, I'm just going to be honest, right?
It just really doesn't appeal to me.
Like, cinema games don't, like, like, I will play a Kojima game.
Like, I'll play Death Stranding 2, which I'm assuming probably will, like, fall in that category.
But, like, I'm really playing that because it's like a Kojima game and I think it's going to be cool and interesting, right?
and so that's it
but I love these personally
yeah I guess I'm just not the target audience right
and I think there's a lot of examples of that
like games that I'm just simply not the target audience for
like this game to me seemed like okay
but like I don't know
it's not really doesn't really seem like it's that exciting
this is like one of those games where
like it's kind of the same thing that I said before
it's like I don't know
like I don't know anybody that plays games like this
and I know somebody in chat's going to say like oh I do right
but like yeah sure I'm sure there's out of like you know
50,000 people, somebody plays games like this.
But, you know,
I don't know anybody that really does.
And I just don't know how, like,
they keep promoting and pushing games like this
whenever it's, at least it seems to me,
like there's a non-existent market for them.
So they're just chill gamers.
Yeah, but, like, I just, like, where are they, though?
Because, like, a lot of these games that come out on Steam,
they never really have any sort of, like, real, like, player-based numbers.
Like, I never see them, like, get a huge, like,
player base at all. And so it's like, why would you
announce a game that's so niche?
Journey 1 was huge. Well, maybe I'm wrong about this,
right? Like, maybe this is a bad
example, but that's the way that I feel about it.
And then, uh, this, the James Bond game,
uh, to me, it just seems like,
it seems like another like, you know, again,
cinema movie type thing.
Yeah, I don't know. It's like, it's okay, right?
But like, I just, I can't really see myself
slop game. Yeah.
You just have your baseball.
streamer goggles on?
Okay.
Well, I guess we're just going to have to wait and see
how well these studios, like if Sony shuts down to studios
after these games come out.
Yeah, no, I mean, like, it's scripted dude.
Yeah, I mean, and that's just the way that I feel about it.
I mean, again, and also I am a basement gamer,
I am, that's me.
And so if you're here and you want the basement gamer
in-cell fucking, you know,
red-pilled, base take on the,
these games, you're at the right place. But if you're looking for just your average Joe's opinion
about like, you know, casual games, well, I'm probably not going to have that same opinion because
I'm not looking for games in that same way, right? I thought it was an addict. Yeah, true. But like,
that's really it. Just go back to wow at this point. Well, why would I go back to wow? And there's
50 other games that I'm excited for and three of them were in this trailer, right? But all I'm saying
is like, I'm just, I'm just being critical, right? And I don't think there's anything wrong about
that. And if you really want me to complain, you have me go back to wow, I'm going to complain more than
anything. And so like, yeah, this game looked okay, but it didn't really look exciting. The ghost of
Yotai was a massive bait. Don't really care too much about that. The Marvel thing looked kind of cool,
but I just feel like especially after, like, in this, this is my opinion as a spectator,
and I understand that like this isn't really a valuable opinion, but I'm just giving my take as
somebody who I don't play fighting games, but I watch fighting games. Any time that you have more than
one character on the screen.
Like, it's more than 1v1.
It's complicated and hard to understand.
And I think that, like, I think that really the,
I think that the best example of that is, like, how well and how successful Street
Fighter 6 is.
And when you compare that to the new Mortal Kombat, like, I feel like, again, and that's
not really yet, it's tag fighters.
Yeah, I just, it's hard to watch.
Yeah, it's harder to watch.
But I can understand, like, as a player, like, a player, like,
player's perspective is going to be different than mine and uh you know it's more important than mine too
keep that in mind so like i'm not trying to say it's the you know like every they should listen to me
but like that's just the way that i feel about it so yeah um but you're asking me my opinion that's
that simple techin's the same way yeah i haven't really looked into or played a lot of teckin either
so like i can't really have an opinion on that too much uh some multiverses wasn't really your thing
But no, I never played multiverses.
It just didn't really seem exciting to me or interesting.
So, yeah, I mean, I'm just trying to look at these other games.
Like, I think this is probably, this game is probably the one that I didn't know anything about.
And, like, because that pragmatic game got announced, like, kind of a while ago.
And so, I think the pirate game looks pretty good.
The pirate game?
Maybe.
Yeah, Oof, non-fighter games.
I mean, I don't know.
state of play felt uninspired yeah it felt like the majority of the of it was just like games that we
already knew about or like i don't know maybe i'm being too harsh but like i think it was like a four out of
ten that that's actually like that i mean you like my honest opinion four out of ten
that's it that's how i feel yeah so um let's see here i'll look at a few more of these uh maybe
your tastes on games other than souls like aren't as mainstream the state of play had a
a variety of games, many popular with younger console players and older millennials.
Well, okay, so, like, we don't really know how popular these games are, though, right?
Because, like, with a lot of these that, like, and so I'll listen to what you're saying, and it's fine.
Pull him up? No, I mean, he's just saying, like, you know, like, I like one style of game and that's not it.
There's no reason to, like, ban him. Like, that's not, what the fuck?
No, no, but, like, old ammonials, but, like, I just,
Like whenever games like this come out on PC, you have a better frame of reference of like how popular they are or how successful they are.
And you can have that through Steam charts and you can see how popular these games actually are.
And what I've noticed is that these experimental games, they just don't really deliver.
They don't really sell.
Like I don't know.
I mean, like people say they're popular.
But I feel like it's like another idea of like a mythical audience.
where it's like, yeah, this is like a really popular style.
Okay, well, like, where are the people that are playing it?
Where are they?
And so Steam doesn't lie?
Yeah, when I see the numbers, the numbers tell a very different story.
Schedule 1 was an experimental game.
Yes, but it was a very simple game with a simple game loop, and it was a video game.
And, like, that's why I think, again, like, going back to, like, what I was saying before about Astrobot,
I think one of the big reasons why Astrobot was so successful is that, I mean, yes, it was a great game.
and everything like and that's not even really one of the main reasons but like one thing that i really
liked about astrobot and i don't know if you guys feel the same way or not but like i really
liked astrobot because it felt like an actual video game and there's a lot of these new age
video games that feel like they're trying to trend on the side of becoming a movie or becoming
art or becoming media instead of just simply a game like maybe that's maybe that's is that weird right like
because I see this constantly.
Yeah, and it's actual a game.
Yeah.
And that's another reason why I really like, for example,
I like a lot of the, like the Metroidvania games,
because they're actual video games.
Like, you actually play this game.
Like, and I think that, again, like, Expedition 33 has like a million cutscenes,
and they're really good.
But it's also a really solid video game, too.
Like, I don't know.
implications bullshit just game level here and there next level yeah exactly was it really game of
the year material no i i thought blackmouth wukong was game of the year i thought it was ridiculous that
astro bought one but at the same time uh you know that's not really the only thing that i'm thinking about
uh not knowing games doesn't mean they did bad journey sold over six million copies and uh many
game of the year and you'd hate it yeah i think that's fine but i'll be curious to see
like i don't know what journey was i don't know when it came out i have no idea but whenever i
look at that game.
Like, I don't know, like, as a streamer, and I feel like I've been kind of, I mean, not accurate
all the time, right?
I mean, you know, I thought avowed was fucking, I thought a vowed was going to be a good game,
right?
And so I was a little bit wrong.
Watch Wuching, it's like the time you type that, man.
Like, that's enough times, okay?
I agree there's a lot of experimental games that didn't hit for me, but I do appreciate them
trying something new.
I feel like it's important for the space.
You know what, man?
I think that's a really good outlook to have.
I think that's a healthy, positive, productive outlook to have.
And I think that if you have that viewpoint, that's definitely, like, I think that's very, very fair.
And so, yeah, why not?
And would you ever play Ghost at Tashima?
Yeah, I already said I would.
But, you know, like one day it'll happen.
Players have game truer fatigue from being burned so many times.
No, I don't think that's the case at all.
I think that a lot of these trailers just didn't really resonate with a lot of people.
Let's see what everybody else voted.
Because Jeff Keely always does a...
he'll always do like a thing where he votes.
He has like, what are people's grading?
All right.
I'm going to give it my rating.
I think it's a C.
Yeah, a lot of people like even feel worse than me.
And that's not even me.
