Starting point is 00:02:22 So, big boy, hard to block those attacks, huh? Oh, knock them down. That is really fucking cool. Damn, that is good. Oh. Oh. My personal opinion is that with a game like this that has such a respect, obviously, for the way that physics and contact works in the game,
Starting point is 00:03:02 it feels a little bit weird whenever the characters do, like, these lunging attacks, and they move forward five feet instantaneously, where it's, like, some sort of, like, matrix-d-sync lag thing. I think that really you should make more complex and, like, more difficult, like, attack animation patterns rather than have these attacks to where, like, he goes like that, right? I just, it doesn't feel, it feels like very, very gamey. It feels very cheesy. There's a lot of games that use
Starting point is 00:03:31 mechanisms like that, like Hogwarts Legacy used that, Avowed had that as well. Just in general, I feel like it is, it's kind of like an inversion of the game logic that you've been expected to, you know, like have where it's like, okay, well, this is like
Starting point is 00:03:47 the way the game works and like now it's totally different. It's anime like, yeah, I really don't like that in games and it's very hard to predict also because it's completely illogical. it's totally illogical in a world where everything else seems like it makes sense like not like in magic but in terms of like the physics of the game right so yeah it's unreal physics exactly
Starting point is 00:04:10 you can't plan fantasy and reality with doing that yeah i think it's weird they target lock and teleport yeah basically it's not intuitive no it's not I mean I'll still like that you see what I'm saying right it just feels weird yeah it feels very weird See? Oh, got him.

Starting point is 00:04:59 This is really, really nice, man. Yeah, that's a slide. The slide animation is definitely weird. Yeah, the slide, like, you see what I'm saying, though, right? With, like, the slide, like, a lot of monsters in video games now perform a slide in order for their melee attacks to connect with their target. And I find it to be incredibly frustrating because it's totally illogical. It doesn't make any sense.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Yeah, I don't like it at all. Strave. I didn't say it was unavoidable. I've beaten all the games that I discussed on the hardest difficulty. It's not like it's hard to avoid. It's that I don't think that it's good game design. I think it's bad game design. It's not intuitive.
Starting point is 00:05:35 And it doesn't make sense inside of the world that the game creates with like the physics that it puts in there. It's janky. Yeah, exactly. So that's it feels forced. Yeah, it is. It's forced gaming mechanics. But I will say that, you know, that took this trailer from like maybe a 10 to a 9.5, okay?

Starting point is 00:06:54 I will say that this is the kind of thing that I expected that I would be playing whenever I was playing Oblivion in high school Like whenever I was a little kid in high school, this is what I imagined the oblivion looked like Same yeah exactly. I'm just gonna play it all the way through even though you guys have seen part of it I'll just play it without pausing. Oh Oh right in the face. Oh God's ass Let him go for now Let them go. This is the kind of game that like, you know, I see something like this and I think, this is like, you know, whenever there's like one of those games that come out, it's about like a, you know, like a furry that, like, talks about their feelings and I'm like I'm not the target audience for this this is the opposite I see something like this and I am the target audience for this this looks fucking amazing this looks so good it had like a special by way it had like a special like bonus on that helmet
Starting point is 00:09:51 it says uh casting firebolt has a chance to spawn a raging fire or conjuration so like there's also magic spells in this game too so it's not like it's just like a maylay fighter very good thing Game looks in every way. Yeah, this is like, this is what I've been waiting on. Oh shit. Go on. Now that is kind of cool. That the guy is already there waiting for you. Like the AI for this is pretty good. Can you do a jumping attack? Maybe not. Just threw that guy into the spike. Yep, you saw that. Oh, got that leg off. Zion's fully dark. But grand grimp. Yeah, this is good. This looks peak. You feel the weight behind every hit. That's one of the big. things that like games like this really don't do very well and like you know it's crazy like
Starting point is 00:10:59 dark souls one still does it so well with like the way that like hitting a mob feels in that game it feels so good seems to be big input lag though i don't know about oh i got the big boy no oh and there's like even an animation for getting knocked down too this would be a gp u hog maybe but i mean why do you have a gp u if it's not to do this. So it has, I think it has like if you do a perfect dodge, it has like a little bit of a pause, like a time stop for like a quarter second.

I think there's definitely like a place for very realistic games like this that have like that level of escapism and immersion. Okay. All right, this is the new part. All right, here we go. Starting point is 00:13:38 Unless it's something. that's like super inconvenient. Like the developer should always go with what their vision is. So if they don't feel like that's part of the vision, they shouldn't do it. Damn, this is good. Oh my God. I don't like the motion board. Well, it's a good thing that every video game doesn't have the option to turn it off.
