being that little Yoda guy and also the big NPC I think I think structurally it's a bad boss because when you're fighting against that boss the targeting for the top of the

boss's head makes it to where the grass obscures your vision of the other NPC and like I just think it's like it's a really bad combo to have together because it creates friction that way and it doesn't really need to like it doesn't really need to be that way right

that's why you don't walk yeah but like I don't think that's a good like I don't like why would you create that combo in that area and then blame the player for using a mechanic that they're supposed to use the 99% of the rest of the game in the first boss it's like unnecessary friction it's not i don't think it's challenging i think it's just frustrating and uh skill based game i see like i think skill like the last boss i think is pretty good right

uh but like i don't really think that's skill um i think it's like just frustration and it's annoying and uh it's contrived difficulty yeah like there's like good forms of difficulty and bad forms, I think that's a bad form of difficulty. And, uh, like, you play solo all day. It's not designed for solo play. If you make a game like this and you don't make it for solo play, you've created a game that's going to frustrate 95% of the people that play it. You shouldn't expect people to squat up with three-man groups and get in like discord and

play together in order to, uh, in order to enjoy the game. I think that's just it, it's, it's, I mean, and I don't think it's really like, I don't think that's really necessary either. That's too hardcore. Yeah, I think so. I think also there's so many different items and weapons and abilities in the game that you don't really need that many of them. And especially whenever you have like certain classes, like, for example, like the Iron Eye. I mean, I guess you can probably use other weapons as an archer.

And so, like, it's not a big deal. But, um, and a little to know tutorial for anything. Well, I think tutorial's okay, but I'm trying to think like what else really is there. You die instantly after dying is bad. Yeah. I think that it shouldn't reset the circle, especially whenever you get to three of them. Because I feel like, again, like it makes the game harder that way, but I think it makes it more interesting whenever you can keep resetting and keep resing people.

Because it's just like, I feel like, I feel like, like it tell it's like a better narrative story like i don't think this game is like really hard i guess so like after people get better at the like i played this game for one day right probably by like day five or six i'm going to be like way better at the game and i'll know what i'm doing and it's gonna be fine so it's like i think it's better to tell the story of like you keep resing over and over and over and you barely skate by killing the boss like that's a cooler narrative and it's a better experience rather than you just knowing that like there's no way of resing somebody on the third boss when two people are down uh like that that's kind of the main thing that's too much

thinking well like that that's that's the way i think about it and uh res mechanic kind of sucks yeah i think so too and then also like another issue with the res mechanic is that it requires you to change your focus and so like oftentimes you have to look away from the thing that you're fighting in order to res. And, like, I just think it, like, you can have, like, there's certain types of design goals, and, like, none of these things, like, the reality is that a good player can overcome all of these things, but it's about whether it feels good to do so, and whether a bad player can still enjoy the game.

And so, did you not feel so whether they're in beta? I didn't play it enough during a beta. I didn't really have that opinion. You were just talking about skill issues? like that's very different than like what I'm saying is like what I'm saying is that there are certain things that create difficulty in the game that kind of is like it's like a frictional difficulty that's created through an artificial means like for example fighting a really small and a really big boss and by targeting the really big boss it's hard for you to see the really small boss because of the camera angle like that to

me is like does that make the game harder it definitely makes the game harder does it make it better it absolutely doesn't so does that make sense well camera from software has always had camera issues? Yeah, but basically the problem is like a lot of the camera issues they've had with like you know, Al-McDala or other bosses in the game like that's the first one that comes to mind for me. These are like way

later on in the game and so like the player is already kind of established like how to understand the game but if it's the first boss that you're running into that problem with and also I think that there's a big difference and a big issue where like it's very clear that the bell bearing hunter

is like way easier than the two NPCs at the same time. Like one of them is just like infinitely harder than the other one. And I think that's just bad design. Like there shouldn't be a situation where you have like a 50-50 chance of getting a boss that's 200% harder. It's just shitty. Swordmaster's crazy over tuned. Well, you have to keep in mind the Swordmaster is a DLC mini boss.

Like he's really hard. Overall does it feel pretty good though? Only the archer felt fun to play. The other two classes did not feel fun to play. RNG with loot. Looks more problematic. Yeah, yeah. There's only three classes.
