Three things about this week. I need you to be focused. I need you to be so focused on your priority
on the singular thing you need to do, get done, tend to in this moment. And do that and then do the next
thing and the next thing and the next thing. Number two, I need you and me and me and everyone we know
to have more courage than we ever thought was possible.
Number three, I need us to be aware that this week is going to serve us up some really hard
truths and to be totally willing to observe them, to witness them, to acknowledge them,
and to move with them.
Hello and welcome.
This is the Astrology of the Week Ahead podcast.
I'm your host, your Astro Bestie, Channie Nicholas.
In this episode, we're talking about the week of April 13th,
aka one of the trickiest, hardest weeks of 2026.
If you are online at all, you probably will have heard and seen astrologers talk about this week at nauseam.
It's because everything's in Aries.
But it's not just that everything is an Aries, although it is.
it's that we are having many points of friction and collision happen this week.
And when that occurs with the planets that it's occurring with, in this sign, we know that
there is going to be a traffic jam of epic proportions.
We know things are going to get stopped and stalled and halted, but that the things that
get stopped and stalled and halted are going at it with a furious pace. And so what happens when we are
going really fast and we hit a wall? Well, there's some sort of combustion. There's something that falls
apart. There's something that feels like a little bit of a calamity. And that's the general vibe of
this week. I'm sorry to say it. It just is. Astrologically speaking, this week looks
a little bit like a disaster and a lot like something that is agitated, that is provoking, provocative,
that is, again, a little bit of a danger. So how do we work with this astrology? Well, we know that
there is going to be some really significant opportunities to advance during this time, but doing
so is going to mean that we have to be so focused and so bold and so willing to risk everything
we need to risk in order to get the thing done that we need to get done. I need all of you to lock in.
This is not for the faint of heart, but it is for those who really, really, really truly believe that
we can succeed. If we all focus and if we all stay the course,
And if we all refuse to get derailed by whatever is going to be going on this week,
we can move some very important pieces forward, strategically speaking.
This is the lay of the land.
On Monday, we have gorgeous astrology.
A cute little setup between Venus and Jupiter.
Venus is in its home sign of Taurus.
Jupiter is in its exaltation in cancer.
and they are sex styling each other.
And so this is a really gorgeous mark to begin the week with because it's all about being
abundant.
It's all about being friendly and receiving friendliness.
It is about the gorgeous exchanges that can happen when we are available for friendship,
for solidarity, for moving together and helping each other out.
Help your friends.
Ask for help.
extend yourself in any and all ways that you can.
This is astrology we don't want to waste because it's a little gem.
It's a little pearl inside a whirlwind and a firestorm of other things that we won't be
able to control, but we are going to work with.
Or shall I say, be prepared for because that's all we can really do.
On Tuesday, Mercury makes a very cute little sex style to Uranus.
There's a lovely conversation that helps us wrap something up, but then Mercury moves into
Aries.
And this is the deal.
Now Mercury is in Aries.
It's about to meet up with Neptune, which is going to feel like a momentary Mercury
retrograde.
Communications are going to get very murky come Tuesday, and they're going to remain that
way through Friday.
And then by Wednesday, the moon moves into Aries.
Then we have Mercury, the Moon, Neptune, Saturn, Mars, the Sun, and Chiron.
That's seven planets-ish, one is a minor planet, seven planetary bodies in Ares, all basically coming together.
All of them mashed up.
And this is how it's all going to play out.
On the 16th, that's Thursday, we have the Sun and Chiron coming.
together. That's a Chiron Kazimi, and that is a focus, a clarity, a moment that encapsulate the
thing that causes us pain. This is about getting clear on why we're suffering. Who is benefiting
off of our suffering? Whomst does it behoove that I suffer? That is where we should be
focused. Is this a suffering on a personal level? Is this suffering because of systemic injustice?
why is this suffering occurring? Who is colluding so that we suffer, I suffer, all of us suffer
in this way? How are we shining the spotlight on that? And how are we refusing it? On the same
day as this Chiron Kazimi, we have Mars and Pluto making a sexile to each other. Mars is an Ares,
Pluto is an Aquarius. This is really motivational astrology. This is astrology that says,
what do we have to lose? We might as well go all out. This thing hurts. This is why it hurts.
This is the action that I am going to take. And this is the action that we could all collectively take to move
this piece forward, strategically speaking. That's all happening on the 16th. That's Thursday.
That is also the day that Mercury and Neptune come together. And that is the day where communications
are going to feel a little wonky and they're going to be a little bit lost in translation.
So we just have to know that there's also a little bit of a fogginess surrounding this.
I do think that that Mars sextile Pluto is so ambitious and it's so clear-eyed and it is so
direct that that might help us cut through some of the fog that could also be happening.
Now, on the 17th, Friday, we have a new moon in Ares, which, yay, it's bold, it's courageous,
it's going to help us to move.
It's also sitting with Chiron.
So it's also articulating something about our pain points, something about our wounds, something
that hurts.
Now, again, this isn't bad.
It is not necessarily comfortable.
but it's also an invitation to become a lot more clear on what hurts and why.
Again, who's benefiting from it?
Whomst does it behoove that I hate myself or that I want to change everything or that I feel like I should buy everything in order to be more worthy of living here?
What is this feeling?
Where is it from?
How do I address it?
This new moon is a really beautiful invitation to say, okay, this is what hurts.
I'm not going to stay with the symptom.
I'm going to go deep down into the root of the problem.
I don't want to be surface level with this.
I want to understand what is at the source, how it festers, where it comes from, why it's
there, what's going on so that I can address it at the source, at the root.
that's why I'm saying things about like, why am I suffering? Who's benefiting from this? On that level,
we really do need to get to the root cause of why we're in this mess. It's not because of you and me,
generally speaking. And then all of us have some kind of agency to make a mark, to make a move,
to take action to build the kind of world that we all want to live in. And it's really,
really important for us to understand how we're all being used and how we're all being manipulated
to feel like we aren't enough or to feel like you're my enemy or I'm your enemy or we're on
different sides when really we all mostly want the same kind of thing. So on a personal level,
this new moon is really, really helpful for getting down to the root, core reason why this
suffering is and to understand what, if anything, I can do to relieve it. And if there is something
for me to do to address my own pain and suffering, then this new moon helps us to take action
towards that. It is bold. It is action oriented. And it is about saying, okay, this is how I
suffer. This is what I suffer with. And this is what I can do to bring some medicine to the place
in myself, in my psyche, in my soul that needs it. And then collectively, that's also going to be
very apparent, I think. On Saturday the 18th, Mercury makes a sex style to Pluto. Very helpful,
great conversations, again, helps us to tune into what is underneath the surface, what is at the root
of something. But the most important piece of this week's astrology happens on Sunday, the 19th.
And that is the fact that Saturn and Mars are coming together to make a conjunction.
They are meeting up at the same point in Ares.
And this is a problem.
It's also an invitation to do something that is tremendously difficult,
but exceptionally worth the effort.
And that is the thing that I need us to focus on right now,
whether it's in your personal life or it is a collective kind of situation that we all need to
address together doesn't really matter. I think it's probably going to be both in a lot of cases.
But we need to be so willing to roll up our sleeves and be like, okay, this is the hard thing to do
that I know I need to do. I am ready, willing, and able to do it. Here we go. I'm going
to be able to do this because I'm not going to do the 500 other million things that I said
I was going to do. I'm going to focus on this thing. What is challenging? What is going to require
your effort, your energy, your talent, your wherewithal, your brain cells, your cortisol,
your dopamine, your everything? But it's going to be worth it if you succeed. All of us will be
doing something challenging this week and next week. These are the weeks where it's like,
okay, this is grindy. This is not forgiving. This is about being unrelenting. So it might as well
be worth it. Do not do the things that are not worth it when they're hard to do, especially this
week. Like, focus on the things that you're like, if this happens, this could change everything.
If this happens, I will feel so satisfied that I did it. Yes, I will be tired at the end. And that is okay.
If this thing happens, I will feel like, okay, I could die today. I'm happy now. I put in my best effort.
This is what I wanted to spend my life energy on, at least within these last two weeks.
I'm so proud that I did it. I'm so glad that I did it. I don't know if it's,
you know, what it's going to be to whom. But to me, that was the thing I wanted to do. I did it.
I'm satisfied. What would feel satisfying to do right now? That is yes, difficult. Yes, will require
everything. But yes is also the strategically important thing for you to do now. Think about that
piece as we move into this week. And just know, if things feel stuck and difficult and challenging,
that's also a part of it. Inside that stuck, difficult, challenging place is also the key to unlock it.
Think about this, because Kairon's all in the mix, right? Like we've got this new moon with Kairon
right there. Kairon is like a knot that you get in your shoulder or in your leg or in your psyche.
And we have to go in and massage it.
We have to undo it.
We have to do that work that's like, oh, my God, that hurts, that hurts.
That's where the pain is.
That's where it is.
Please be careful with it.
And we have to go and we have to loosen things up around it.
We have to loosen up the scar tissue.
We have to, I don't know if that's a real thing.
But you know what I mean?
We have to break up the scar tissue.
We have to be able to massage into the place.
and that, again, can be really painful.
It's very, you know, stimulating.
It's very much about targeting the places that we need to unravel and open up
because we've been locked in pain for too long around it.
How do we start to open up and massage these places and be like, okay, that's where I was getting stuck?
Because that's the thing.
Part of when we get wounded, we brace our.
ourselves and we start to lock in and we stay locked up because of the pain, which is reasonable,
but it also then becomes its own problem. So how do we start to help ourselves unlock, unwind,
unfurl, open up, get some circulation happening in the place where we have been in pain and
folded into ourselves for too long? Like we're not now living because we're
two clamped up and shrouded in layers of protection.
And this week is asking us to open up to some of that with this new moon,
like to open some of that to get some of the blood circulating,
to get some of the movement happening.
And then it's happening at the same time as the Mars- Saturn conjunction is occurring.
And that's going to be its own challenge.
And so there's this need to say, okay, this is stuck right now.
This is really hard.
This is like a traffic jam.
This is like the energy is all locked up.
Okay, that's where we are.
What do I do to start to massage this,
to see if there's like a little bit of room to move,
to see if I can shift this one thing forward.
I've been saying forever,
do not over-schedule yourself during these weeks in April.
Don't do it.
This is not the time to take on stuff
that you don't need to take on right now.
You need to be strategic.
You need to be cunning.
You need to be like, okay, this is what I got to do.
This is what I've got in the tank.
This is what I'm going to spend every single little molecule of energy on.
And then I'm going to reassess after this.
After these next couple of weeks, I'll reassess.
I'll figure it out.
But this is my time to be laser focused on what I need to do now.
And what I do not need to do right now has to wait.
now it's time for a question from the audience thank you so much for sending in your questions thank you so much for recording them in the app
hi chani first thank you so much for all you do and your team amazing uh there second here's the question
what does it mean to have two stelliums in your chart my son sagittarius rising has mars saturn and
Neptune in his fourth house, Pisces, and the sun, moon, Mercury, and Venus in Ares, his fifth house.
Super curious about that.
All right, thanks.
Bye.
Okay, great question.
If you have two stelliums in your chart, what does it mean?
So a little refresher, in terms of traditional astrology, the only planets that rule signs, and this is important for a reason I'll get to in one second,
The only planets that rule signs are the sun, the moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.
So I don't look at Neptune as a ruler of any part of your chart, any sign.
I don't look at Uranus or Pluto as any kind of planet that has a rulership or that has dominion over your life.
But in general, when you have one stelium, like a group of planets in a certain sign,
it means that there's going to be a major emphasis on that style, the signs style.
So say if you have a stallium of planets and Capricorn, there's going to be something
about an emphasis about being self-contained or reserved or traditional or, yes, hardworking.
Also, yes, a lover of list making.
Or someone who is a little bit of a loner.
There's something about going it alone or needing a lot of solitude.
So whatever the cluster of planets, whatever sign that cluster of planets is in, there might be an
emphasis of the style of the sign that it's in. But the most important thing that we want to look at
in terms of steliums, groupings of planets, is that if they are one of those seven traditional
planets that I named, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, if they're one of those,
then that area of life becomes really important.
So if you have a grouping of planets in the fourth house,
I think you just, you said that your son had Saturn, Mars, and Neptune.
I don't look at Neptune as a ruler of another place,
but I do look at Saturn and Mars as rulers of another place.
And so we would take the areas of the chart that those planets ruled.
So if it's if it's Mars, if Mars,
is in a sign that it doesn't rule, then we look at the places in the chart that contain
Ares and Scorpio.
And we take those areas of life, those houses, and then we fold them into the meaning of the
place where that planet is.
Okay, for example, if I have a whole bunch of planets in the third house of communication
and in the fifth house of creative work and my creative life and creative self-expression.
And there's a whole bunch of planets in both of those houses.
It means that a lot of the other areas of my life are going to lead back to those two areas of life.
So if the ruler of my first house is in my third house or in my fifth house, then it's my
my life is going to be steered towards communication if it's a third house or creative self-expression
if it's the fifth house. And then say the ruler of my 10th house is also in my fifth house.
And the ruler of my first house is also in my fifth house. Well, that means that my career,
10th house, or my public life, 10th house, and the aim and the direction of my life, first house,
is going to both lead to my creative work or children or art.
or creativity in some way, shape, or form, or games or sports or something that is like fun in
games and like, woo, yay, let's do that. And then say, my seventh house ruler is also in my fifth
house. Do you see what I mean? It means that like there's these areas of life that keep getting
pulled into this one specific place, meaning if you have a cluster of planets in a certain
house. If you have two clusters of planets in two different houses, those areas of life become a
really big deal for you because it means that other parts of your life get expressed or lived out
via that area of life, via that house. I hope that makes sense. It means that you really need to
learn about what the meaning of that house is. Wherever you have a cluster of planets, that is a gateway,
house, the meaning of that house, wherever those planets are, that house, those house topics,
that area of life become a major portal for your life's work and for your success and for
meaning making and for you to cultivate a sense of like, oh yeah, this is what I'm supposed
to be doing or this feels really good. This feels really important. And the more planets you have
in one or two places, the more you can just kind of like focus in those areas of life
and know that the rest will kind of work itself out. So for this example, we've got a group of
planets in the fourth house and in the fifth house. That means home, family, foundation, lineage,
ancestry, roots, maybe even real estate and literal houses will be very important. We have to
live out life and see what happens with your child once they become an adult, but also the fifth
house, self-expression, creativity, games, fun, pleasure. Also, like, working with children and
young people, if we have a fifth house emphasis, often that can be an important area of life or
sexual health and wellness and reproductive rights. And, you know, there's everything that kind of
goes along with that. So those are areas where as your child grows and comes into their own,
you'll start to see like, oh, yeah, they do have an interest there.
Like, oh, yeah, they are very into doing archival work.
That's also like a fourth house thing going into the underground, going into the vaults,
going into the history of something.
And then how do they use that in their creative life?
Is there an intersection there?
Are they going to, you know, be part of the family business?
Are they going to work with kids?
Are they an artist?
Like, these are themes that we have to wait.
for them to tell us how they're going to live them out. But in general, those are areas of the life
where they can focus on and know that that's kind of, it's not a shortcut, but it's a kind of
guarantee that something good is going to happen through those areas of life if we spend time
developing our relationship to them. All right, y'all, that's the reading for the week.
I know it's hefty and I know it's heavy and that's just where we are in time and space and in our
history. Next week, come back. We're going to talk more about this. Mercury is going to end up
making a collision with Saturn and Mars. And then Uranus moves back into Gemini. This is huge news.
I'm sorry to tell you. It's another big week. But Uranus moving back into Gemini is new world order
type of astrology. It is a reconfiguration of how we do business, of how we do geopolitics,
of how we do communications, of how we do tech. So big changes on the horizon. That is like a
within the span of seven years, a big deal. It's really a big deal within the span of like 84 years,
because that's how long it takes Uranus to move back into a sign. So another big thing for
for us to experience and go through, but it also means the area of your chart that contains Gemini
gets this boost of energy that's like, I got to be free, I need to liberate myself, I need to be
experimental, I need some change. So Gemini's in the crowd and Pisces and Saj and Virgo, you're all
going through a pivotal change, especially if one of those signs is your rising sign. Come back,
we'll talk about it. Sending you so much love.
So much resilience and strength and courage and determination and focus this week.
Bye for now.
