Well, here we are again, eclipse season.
Every six months, there are a pair, sometimes three eclipses that will happen in a row.
They happen on new moons and full moons.
And they really do feel like their own little parcel of time.
And you can look at the year and take note of when the eclipses happen
and know that those are times that will most likely be some kind of turning point for us personally
and maybe even collectively.
Back on November 19th of 2021, we had the first eclipse in Taurus in a series of eclipses.
And this week on April 30th, we'll have the second eclipse in Taurus in that series.
It is a solar eclipse.
therefore it is a new moon and it is about the beginning of something.
Now, let's just say this about eclipses.
They are generally tumultuous times.
They tend to kick up our shadow or reveal what is lurking just beyond our peripheral vision.
And they also tend to signify moments where there are abrupt endings and beginnings.
Again, they really do feel like corners we turn during the year.
This is the astrology of the week ahead, and I'm your host, Channy Nicholas.
In this podcast, we look at the astrology of the upcoming week and how it will be landing for all of us collectively.
For a more personalized reading that dives into the ways that this week's astrology will play out for you, download the Chani app.

And in this episode, we're looking at the astrology of the week of April 25th.
So we know that the week ends with a solar eclipse.
The eclipse happens on April 30th.
It is an eclipse at 10 degrees of torus.
And it happens at 1.28 p.m. Pacific time.
So for some folks, that will be May 1st.
So when we're looking at the week, we know that,
it ends with this very distinct exclamation point.
But what happens on the way there?
Well, dear listener, dare I say it,
but there is some phenomenal astrology happening on the way to this eclipse.
Now, again, eclipses are shadowy times.
They are times where the light of the sun or the moon is eclipsed.
It goes out.
And because light and life are equated,
or light and energy or light and purpose or light and strength are equated in astrology,
we never want the sun or the moon's light to be compromised because it does in many ways
represent our own energetic strength. And so when it's compromised, it is wobbly.
Now, of course, everything interesting happens when things don't work as they quote
unquote should. And we also want to have very grounded energy. We don't want to have live wires,
which are what eclipses can often feel like. So bearing that in mind that there is something
coming up that feels a little possibly caustic or challenging. On the way to it, there is
beautiful, like some of the best moments, astrologically speaking, that are happening. And
happening this week. These auspicious configurations are all happening in Pisces. Why are they
auspicious? Well, Jupiter is there, the ruler of Pisces, which means that anything else that is
moving through Pisces has the resources that it needs. And these resources are really
beautiful ones because they're from Jupiter. And Jupiter is all about growth and expansion and
abundance and luck. So the planet that has something to do with actual auspiciousness or luck or
fortune is at home. It's in Pisces. It is ruling this roost and it rules by having a really
good time and bringing abundance to all. But not only is Jupiter in Pisces, Venus is also in Pisces.
Venus is in its exaltation in Pisces, which means
Venus is put up on high and able to be recognized and known for all of its attributes.
And all of its attributes are magnified in this sign.
And it's also the exalted ruler of this sign.
So right now, anything else that is in Pisces is blessed by both Jupiter and Venus.
Now, Jupiter and Venus just so happened to be the two planets that we call benefices in traditional astrology.
they are in charge of bringing about what we would call good.
So Jupiter brings about abundance and opportunity and expansion and growth and also knowledge
and we could say healing, especially in Pisces.
And Venus brings about connection and relationship and beauty and brings a charm with it
and brings about conditions that are very conducive to pleasure and enjoyment and sweetness.
and delight. Okay, so that's the stage that has been set for us. Now, at the beginning of the week,
the moon enters Pisces. First of all, the moon and Pisces is a pretty good setup, all in all.
But when the moon is in Pisces and Jupiter is also there, it's an extra great setup. And when the
moon is in Pisces and Jupiter and Venus are there, it's like a magnification of good. When you're
looking at the year and you're looking for charts to use. You can actually do this, right? You can
pick a chart to start a business or to put out a newsletter or to launch something or to have a
party. We do this all the time in our business. Our business is governed by the astrology and we
do and launch and create things and put them out on
the best astrology that we can find. So when I'm looking, when our team is looking, when we're
talking about when to put something out, when to launch something, we want the conditions to be
the best they possibly can. And one of the things you look for is when the benefix, when Venus and
Jupiter are in good condition and can help you out. So when they're together like this,
It's like, wow, okay.
Because not only are they together in a sign that one of them rules, they're together in a sign that both of them rule.
They both have power here.
So that is like maximum potential good.
And then what you want is the moon making an aspect to these planets.
So when the moon is in the same sign as the beneficence that both have power in this sign, it is like,
extra fantastic, wonderful, this is a moment to work with. So all that to say, the first couple of
days of the week are excellent moments to make things happen. Yes, there is an eclipse coming,
but these first couple of days are really primed with some gorgeous astrology. So on Monday,
at 3.15 a.m. Pacific time, the moon enters Pisces. And it will be there until Wednesday,
April 27th, when the moon moves into Ares at 9, 10 a.m. Pacific time. So depending on your time zone,
most of Monday and some of Wednesday, but definitely for all of us, the world over,
all of Tuesday is really beautiful. For instance, the moon makes a conjuncture. For instance, the moon makes a
conjunction with Venus on April 26 at 9.50 p.m. The moon then also makes a conjunction to Jupiter at
407 a.m. on Wednesday the 27th. These are moments that are, again, infused with a beauty, with a luxury,
with a sweetness, with a connectivity, with an expansion, with a feeling of abundance.
and when you're putting something out into the world and you put it out into the world with
astrology like this, then it's infused with that feeling. So again, the beginning of the week
just feels like it's got some extra charge to it. But it's not only because the moon is going
over Venus and Neptune, but more specifically Venus and Jupiter, but Venus and Jupiter are moving
closer towards each other, which is one of the best things that can happen, again, especially in Pisces.
So the moon is picking up on those two culminating together, those two coming together, Venus and Jupiter.
So again, this setup is really sweet. And it might mean that the beginning of the week just feels
really great. It might mean that the beginning of the week brings us more chances and opportunities
for connection, for feeling like we belong in our lives, the astrology of the beginning of the week
might help us to remember just how important it is to foster and to feed and to nurture
and to focus on our communities and our collectives and how much goodness, sweetness,
abundance comes through our interconnectivity.
and actually that is pretty much the only way it can come through.
We're very focused on self-image and on being our own brand
and on all of the stuff that social media really skews us towards.
But that is not our actual source of sweetness and goodness and fortune.
Our source of sweetness and goodness and fortune is each other,
is being in community, is being able to gather with others
and co-create because each one of us brings a specific talent to the group.
And when we all bring our talents and expertise and hearts and minds and creativity to a
situation, we flourish.
Nature is dependent on diversity.
And I do think that's one of the main themes of this week because it's so Venusian,
because it's so Jupiterian, because it's so much about joy and joy.
pleasure and connectivity and abundance.
And that only happens, at least in nature, when there are many different species thriving
all together and keeping each other in balance and in check and building an ecosystem that is
richer because of all of its many components.
And yes, I am using regenerative farming metaphors on purpose because this eclipse is in
Taurus. The North node is in Taurus. Uranus is in Taurus. And astrologically, having all of this
action take place here points us very specifically towards the Earth and what it's telling us,
which is that we are way out of alignment with the very being that supports and sustains our
life. And so this is a time to course correct quickly.
And this is also a time to take note of what the earth is telling us.
In nature, nothing is disposable.
Everything's compostable.
Everything is part of a cycle of life.
But it's not like there is anything in existence that doesn't belong.
Everything has a function.
And this Venus, Jupiter conjunction with Neptune,
is reminding us of that holism.
of that holistic view of life. Now, Venus is ruling this eclipse. Venus is ruling everything
in Taurus. So the fact that Venus is about to make a conjunction with Jupiter, about 45 minutes
after the eclipse on April 30th is really significant. The fact that Venus and Jupiter are coming together
and Venus is a ruler of this eclipse at the time of this eclipse signifies that maybe something really
good can come out of this moment or that something really wonderful is happening at the same time
as we're grappling with something that's quite shadowy and a little unpredictable and a little
challenging. And those two things can obviously happen at the same time. Venus and Jupiter are
coming together not only at the time of an eclipse, but they're also coming together at the degree
of Venus's exaltation, which is a really special degree in Pisces. So on one hand, all of the
astrologers across the land looked at this and was like, oh no, how could we miss this like once in 12
year opportunity? Not even once in 12 year. Like really, it's very rare that these two would
come together at this exact point at the same time as an eclipse. It's. It's so,
a shame in one sense, but I trust that it is exactly what needs to happen because it's happening.
And that's the rule of astrology. We trust what's going on. Okay, so one of the things you can do
with this week's astrology is you can go look at your chart. If you're on the app, go pull up your chart
on the app. If you are listening to this on a streaming platform, you can go to Channingnichloss.com
and pull up your chart. And I want you to look and see if you have anything,
around 27 degrees of Pisces.
Make sure you consider your ascendant, your mid-heaven,
your descendant, your I see, any planet or point in your chart
that is around 27 degrees of Pisces,
because it is getting this beautiful infusion of both Venus's blessing
and Jupiter's blessing and their blessing together.
So that will be a part of your chart that will have a moment of kind of like
optimization. Then I also want you to look at your chart and see if you have anything within two
degrees of this eclipse. This eclipse is happening at 10 degrees of torus. So that would be anything from like
eight degrees of torus to about 12 degrees of torus. I keep the orbs pretty small for eclipses.
And if you do have anything around those degrees or in in that range of degrees, then there's probably
something that's happening in that area of your life or to that planet that feels like an important
change or reveal or situation or event. So if you do have a planet that is within a couple of degrees
of this eclipse, I want you to read about the significations of that planet. Go to the app and read the
description of that planet and know that your job is to make note of that part of your
life, that part of yourself, how that functions, and what changes that part of your life,
that part of yourself are undergoing in this eclipse season. And if you're a subscriber to the app,
this week's readings are, I think, really important to listen to. You want to think about where
this eclipse is taking place for you. And if and how it might be linked to what was happening
around November 19th of 2021, because that's when we had the very first eclipse in Taurus.
That was a full moon.
This is a new moon.
But they are connected.
And because this is a new moon, because this is a solar eclipse, it does feel like there is a beginning connected to this moment or an important change or revelation.
Okay.
There are a couple other things that are happening this week.
They are not nearly as awe-inspiring as what I've just talked about, but they are worth mentioning nonetheless.
The first thing is Mercury. Mercury is making a sextile to Jupiter on the 26th.
It is making a trine to Pluto on the 28th. Mercury is moving through Taurus, so the place where the eclipse will happen.
So it's giving us some really good insight and intel into this area of our life.
and the conversations feel really helpful at the beginning of the week.
And again, the beginning of the week is infused with some really great astrology.
So that feels potent and pertinent.
And then Mercury moves in to Gemini on the 29th of April.
And this is important because Mercury will retrograde through Gemini.
Mercury stations retrograde on May 10th.
So from about Tuesday onward, we are in the pre-retrograde shadow moment with Mercury.
The other really important thing to note is that Pluto stations retrograde on the 29th,
the day before the eclipse. Pluto pulls focus here. Pluto and Capricorn is all about
the economic structures that we live within and the transformations that they may be going through.
or need to go through. Pluto pulling focus right before an eclipse and Taurus definitely doubles
down on the whole theme of resources and how we work with them, how we honor them or dishonor them,
and the ways in which our power structures and structures of supremacy are built on the amassment
of resources. And then just to circle back around to the Venus situation. Venus makes a conjunction
with Neptune on the 27th, and then a conjunction with Jupiter on the 30th. So from the 27th to the 30th,
if we just focus on Venus for a moment, Venus is doing some very dreamy, enchanted, poetic, romantic
dealings. This is astrology that can definitely sweep us off our feet and have us buying into
a fantasy instead of acknowledging the reality. So that is.
is the one kind of warning that we have overlaying this week. And again, it's also astrology
that can be really blissful and bring us a lot of sweetness through the love connections,
through the feelings of being part of something and through synthesis. This really is about
how we join forces, how we are connected. And because Neptune is here, Jupiter's here, because this is
all happening in Pisces, there's a feeling of compassion or kindness that can run through this week.
And then I also just want to reiterate, it's Venus and it's Jupiter and it's Neptune. So it could just be
a really lovely good time that does not promote any specific agenda but absolute pleasure.
And then an eclipse.
Dun, dun, done.
All right, y'all, that is the reading for the week.
