Hello and welcome. This is the astrology of the week ahead podcast, and I'm your host, Chani Nicholas. In this podcast, we look at the astrology of the upcoming week and how it will be landing for all of us collectively. In this episode, we are looking at the astrology of the week of August 29th. And I'm going to tell you, it's a simple week. It's pretty straightforward. And there's only two little happenings to talk about. So this will most likely be a very quick episode. And I hope that the week engenders

a sense of victory, possibly. Because Mars and Jupiter are coming into a very helpful alignment. Mars is about victory. It is about winning. This week, it is meeting up with Jupiter. And Jupiter encourages a sense of optimism and an abundance and a blessing of relaxation. So when you put the two together, there is a combo here that makes winning easier. Whatever winning is for us, and it's going to be different for every single person. The interesting thing is is that Jupiter is in Ares, which is a sign that Mars rules. So there's a very special kind of relationship that happens because Jupiter is kind of at the whim of Mars. And Mars is like, hey, here's some good stuff.

And so they can both collab in a way that is beneficial. So what might be a win that is inclusive? Imagine that. Imagine living in a world where we were striving for solutions where everybody wins and everybody has what they need and everyone is resourced and everyone feels abundant. What if we lived in a world where there truly were no enemies? What would we be able to focus on? What would we be able to win at? What would we be able to build, create and pour our energy into?

And this week's astrology alludes to that. That Mars sex style Jupiter is what I'm talking about. And that happens on September 1st. And that is the first, you know, like what we call like a transit. That is the first thing to happen this week. So we're building towards that. That's one of the things that is on the horizon. And we can use the days leading up to it to focus on the winds that we want to

make and how we can share what we win, because that's really what makes it a triumph. So there's something really positive about this Mars situation. And I'm emphasizing all of this because that's what it is, but it's also because Mars is in Gemini right now. And Mars is going to be in Gemini until March 25th of 2023. Because it's going to retrograde there, between the very end of August and mid-January. So that's not for a while. We're still in August, at least at the beginning of this week. We are moving into September, though.

And this is the moment before Mars enters its pre-retrograd shadow. So by Sunday, Mars will be in territory that it will eventually retrograde back to. And again, we're talking about stuff in the future. However, just so you know, this is the moment to work with if you want to, because this is the moment that Mars is in a situation where it can help to activate something that's positive that we can use later on. So because we can see in the distance something that looks like a bit of a scuffle, something that looks like it's going to kick up some dust. we want to work with this astrology to set ourselves up for excellent strategic thinking. So if it is abundance for all that we're going for, and I don't know why it wouldn't be if you were listening to me or on this app, but say it's abundance for all that we're going for.

We have to be really strategic about how we go about that. Because oddly, not everyone agrees with that sentiment. there is a lot of individualism that has seeped into every single system and a lot of our kind of cultural norms in a lot of different ways and a lot of different places in the world. So Mars is a planet that actually can be quite individualistic because it needs to go its own way. But when it's in cahoots with Jupiter, Jupiter is able to expand the planet. that type of self-orientation towards something much bigger, towards a broader view. And yes, Jupiter is in Ares, and Ares is a sign that is about the self, about emerging,

you know, headfirst into the world and doing its own thing. It is a sign ruled by Mars. So there's a lot of that emphasis right now, but Jupiter is still Jupiter. And Jupiter wants to open up our way of thinking. Jupiter wants to open up the Santa Claus satchel and give gifts to everyone. Jupiter wants to wave that fairy godmother wand and remind us who we are. And who we are is creative. And at our very core, we are the energy.

that brought us here. We are that great creative spirit that moves through all things. That is who we are at our core. We are related to nature. Nature knows how to thrive. Like we are a part of some other conscious awareness that is constantly creating new life forms. We are abundant in our creativity or we are related to an abundant source of creativity. There is more than enough for everyone for all life on Earth. That is just the way it goes. There is an ever-expanding universe. We are part of it. And so Jupiter is like, yes, you are that. You are that abundance. You are that expansion. You are part of the great mystery in all things. You are that which is all. And so Jupiter again infuses Mars. Mars is infusing Jupiter. And they're in this team for a brief moment that has a capacity to have that

awareness. And that is the awareness that we are going to need to bring into the future Mars retrograde. So it feels like this moment is actually a really good setup and a really good situation for us to circle back around to and remember. You know, when good things happen, good times rule, we want to really soak them up like a little battery pack so that we have that extra energy when we need it when we're out in the wilderness and we feel like, oh no, my battery is running low. Oh, good. I've got a spare. And I feel like this moment is that time to recharge. We charge up on all of the positive stuff that's happening in the world. Recharge with your friends. recharge with your joy, recharge with all the things that remind you how awesome and expansive and

mysterious this life is. If Mars in Gemini can teach us anything, it's how to be actively curious. And Mars and Gemini, sextile, Jupiter and Ares is how to be in the question and allow that questioning to open us up to a grand adventure because it's Jupiter. in Ares. So it really wants to explore. And it's Mars in Gemini. So it loves to learn. It loves to question. It loves to go on some kind of wild goose chase and see what the experience brings about. Then the other thing that's going to happen is Mercury, the planet that rules Gemini. You're going to notice a lot of these connections. We'll oppose Jupiter on September 2nd. This also feels like good news because it's Mercury. So it's the messenger. Now, Mercury is about to station retrograde on September 9th.

It will station retrograde and it will station retrograde in Libra. So it's going to help us to review relationship stuff for sure. Anything about balance that we need to double triple check. We got to do it with this one. It'll eventually go back into Virgo. So it'll get really, really specific by September 23rd Mercury retrogrades back into Virgo. and that's where we get super extra detailed and organized. But for now, on September 2nd, as Mercury makes that opposition to Jupiter,

it feels like an extreme kind of situation that is also really good. It almost feels like a good problem to have. And I say that because Mercury is in its pre-retrograde shadow. So it's about, it's a little wobbly. It's about to go backwards. But it's Jupiter. So it brings about bounty. And we never want to say no to bounty.

But it's also Mercury in Libra, which can teeter, totter and get a little out of balance. So take note of what tips the scales this week, even if it's a good thing. And because Jupiter pronounces whatever it touches and Mercury puts it on blast and, you know, amps up the message, there could be a big conversation about justice and injustice. and the scales of justice and what justice means and what it doesn't mean. And many of us might have those conversations with ourselves in our own life, but also globally, also culturally, also publicly. We can take note of the conversations that are starting to come forth online, in public,

in the news cycle. So that is the reading. It is pretty simple. this week. And for all intents and purposes, it feels really good. We might go a little overboard because it's Jupiter in the mix, but, you know, that's the fun of coming back into balance is going out. So if you are going into extremes, I hope it's extreme fun.
