Starting point is 00:00:00 I usually start these podcasts off with three things about this week. And I just don't know if I can be that reductive. This week holds within it. These next seven days hold within it. Two massively important astrological signatures, one of which hasn't happened in a couple of decades. The other of which hasn't happened in a few decades. So we're talking like 20-ish years almost in about 36-ish years.
Starting point is 00:00:36 So when things come along that haven't happened in a long time, we want to pay attention to them because we know that they're rare. And then when one or more of those things happen within the same seven days, we know that this is a week and this is a time period to pay attention to. because it signals a moment of rapid change. I just want to let you know, because of the difficult astrology that we're going through, because of the game-changing astrology that we're going through, because the astrology that we are going through currently asks us to be so deeply
Starting point is 00:01:17 resourced, we wanted to give you full access to the Chani app absolutely free for 30 days. All you need to do is put in the code support 30 and you will have access to monthly readings, weekly readings, like you can listen to a reading for every month of the year. You can map out the whole thing. We've got meditations, we've got sleep stories, we've got affirmations. We have a Saturn return course. If you were Saturn and Aries and you just entered your Saturn return first time or second time because we go through one in our late 50s, you've got that as a resource. We want to resource you. We want to be resourced together. And we're hoping that 30 days of absolutely free access to the app does just that.
Starting point is 00:02:13 Please share with your friends, your family, anyone that you think might benefit from it. Hello and welcome. This is the astrology. of the week ahead podcast. I'm your host, your Astro Bestie, Channie Nicholas, in this episode, we are talking about the absolutely consequential week of February 16th. Now, what I'm about to say is being said in January. I'm in January. You are in mid-February. I don't know what has transpired between now and then, although I can only assume it's probably half a lot of violent nonsense and then half a lot of really inspiring political uprisings and mass mobilizations in the name of solidarity. That is what I can hope for. And what I'm going to say that I said last
Starting point is 00:03:10 week and probably the week before that, and I'm going to be saying it a lot this year, is that we need to remember that everything is still in play. Nothing is fixed. There is no fixed outcome. And when we have really big astrology like we have this week, I never want to be hyperbolic and I always want to be helpful. And I know that you hear astrologers saying, oh, this is such a big deal all the time. And not everything is such a big deal.
Starting point is 00:03:38 It really isn't. This week's astrology is a really big deal. We have an eclipse always a big deal. We have an eclipse in a sign that it hasn't been in in a couple of decades near the North Node. And then we have two slow moving planets coming together, which is a really big deal. The conjunction of two slow moving planets is, again, rare. That's the thing that takes about three and a half decades to happen. It's Saturn and Neptune are coming together.
Starting point is 00:04:11 And it's not just that they're coming together. they're coming together at zero degrees of aries, which is the point of the equinox. It is the point of a new season. It is the point of the emergence of life in the northern hemisphere. A lot of people call it the astrological New Year when the sun hits zero degrees of aries. We're in, again, spring in the northern hemisphere. But we are in this new phase of life in terms of this astrology. So there is this mark of these two slow-moving planets coming together this week at this moment, at this mark in the sky of new life emerging. So we know something new is emerging. And when two things come together, a conjunction, when a conjunction happens, the two natures of the planets are merged. So we know that
Starting point is 00:05:03 these two planets, Saturn and Neptune, could not be more different than one another, are merging. And so we know that this new beginning, because it's happening at zero degrees of aries and because it's two planets coming together like a new moon, is the emergence, the new beginning of something that is full of paradox. That is full of activity. It's happening at zero degrees of aries. It's full of emerging new life. It is full of energy. It is full of a lot of powerful, potent themes. It's in Aries. Aries goes head first. This is an impatient sign. This is an active sign. This is sometimes an aggressive sign. Always a courageous sign. Maybe always. And it is a sign that knows action if nothing else. It's not a sign that sits back and thinks about things. This is a sign that mobilizes others and is mobilized always. So we know a lot of activity is going to happen. In what realm? Well, Saturn is the planet of structure and form and boundary, and Neptune is the planet of dissolving reality as we know it. It's very like hallucinatory. So how do those two things go together? They don't. That's the thing. They don't go together. So we are in the realm of paradox. We don't get to have everything as we want it. It will behoove us to accept things as they are fully, deeply,
Starting point is 00:06:39 profoundly so that we can change them so that we could build the world that we want to build. This is a new beginning for us. I've said this before. I'll say it again. Do not let them write the end of the story for you. Take back your imagination. Neptune is a planet of creativity and imagination. Saturn is a planet of reality and structure and form.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Saturn builds Neptune dreams. We have to, in this moment, dream bigger and more radically and more profoundly and more powerfully than the reality that we see at hand. We have to be in charge of our imagination. How are we imagining our way through this? Maybe out of it, maybe like what's on the other side of this, but I think it's really important to be imagining our way through. wit. Every athlete, as we know, and many, many, many successful people in a lot of different
Starting point is 00:07:45 fields take time to see themselves winning. They take time to envision their success. They take time to see themselves on the court, in the pool, on the ski hill, whatever their sport is. They're like, okay, this is me. I'm going to go through the motions of winning the gold, of winning the tournament, of winning my place and history, whatever the thing is. We have to do the same. Or it would behoove us greatly, I think, to do the same. How are we envisioning our way through this? The hard things, the work, the building, brick by brick by brick. We don't just get to have a community. We have to show up and be awkward and be put out and be annoyed and deal with. with the tension and the friction that comes along with any group of people, people are annoying,
Starting point is 00:08:42 you and I are people, we are annoying, you're annoying, we're all annoying. How do we deal with our aggravation? How do we deal with the conflicts? How do we deal with the things that are incongruent? How do we deal with the paradoxes of this moment in our own life so that we are building towards the dream? Saturn is the builder, Neptune is the dreamer. We have to bring these two things together. What is dissipating, what is being dissolved, what traditional normal ways of doing things are no longer because of whichever dictator or whatever ruler or whatever toddler in charge, as I said last week. They are dissolving the ways that we usually do things. We get to dissolve the ways in which we usually do things. We get to dissolve the ways in which we
Starting point is 00:09:37 usually do things that never worked in the first place. We get to do that too. So no matter what is going on this week, I want us to really think about how we can, and not just think about, I want us to practice visioning our work, visioning our way through, visioning our success. Yes, visioning us winning, but also just like, okay, just today, I'm just going to stay in the day. I'm going to get up. I'm going to do this. I'm going to text this person. I'm going to call this person. I'm going to ask people to come over for dinner. I'm going to go fill my community fridge. I'm going to go volunteer at the thing. I'm just going to do one simple thing today. That's how I'm going to do this life. That's how I'm going to do this massive moment in history, right? When this big astrology comes,
Starting point is 00:10:31 It's too big to be able to understand what it all means. We can't do that. We have to live through it. And I know we all want to understand what the end of the story is going to be. But we can't. We don't know. We have to live out these chapters. We have to live out these sentences.
Starting point is 00:10:50 We have to live out this paragraph. Just one word at a time. Just one moment at a time. So we're talking about these big astrological signatures. And it's easy to feel. overwhelmed by them. It's easy to feel like, well, what's the point? I don't even want to pay attention, which is also legitimate. Maybe you don't want to listen to this. But the other thing is that this is a marker. This is a marker of time. This is a mark in history. This week holds something very
Starting point is 00:11:21 important. We've been building up to it for years now. This is the kind of apex moment of the Neptune, Saturn coming together. They've been traveling together through Pisces for like, you know, three-ish years. Now they're in Aries for a couple of years. But this is the moment where they finally seed the thing. What seeds are we planting in this moment to help us keep envisioning what it is we are moving towards? When things happen in Aries, we want to be especially cognizant of how our systems are being overheated. When things happen in a fire sign, we want to be especially cognizant of how our anger might get the best of us. When things happen in Aries, we want to say, where is my agency, how can I locate it, and what action can I take from here? Just one little
Starting point is 00:12:21 action at a time. I can acknowledge my anger, my righteous rage, and I don't want to let it consume me or engulf me in its own heat and be disintegrated by it. I want to actually channel it and move it into creative, generative efforts in the world. The last time Neptune was in Ares was the Civil War in the United States. So are we back to that kind of vibe? Perhaps it feels like that. Again, I'm not in mid-February, but where I am in January, it definitely feels like, you know, the system is turning in on itself. When Saturn is in Aries, it is in its fall. So it is not able to function as easily as it normally would want to. So what is a Saturn malfunctioning? Saturn malfunctioning is systems malfunctioning or those kind of like those in charge, those that hold
Starting point is 00:13:27 kind of like the order of our system malfunctioning. And then again, when Neptune and Saturn come together, especially in Ares, we want to watch for like, who's trying to trigger a war? Who's trying to attack the system? Who is trying to dismantle everything so that like lighter fluid, it can just be spread everywhere and everything can go? Who's benefiting from this chaos? Who's, benefiting from the lack of structure? Who's benefiting from being like, oh, we don't have to pay attention to any laws? I don't have to pay attention to any order. It's just my own personal will. Remember, Ares is the sign where the sun is exalted. So it is always going to be somewhat to do about rulership. Yes, war, yes, heat, yes courage, yes action. Yes, being emboldened. Yes, and
Starting point is 00:14:27 energy. And then we also have to be like, okay, well, what are the leaders up to with something major happening at zero degrees of Ares? Not only that, but on the 17th of February, a couple of days before the Saturn Neptune conjunction, which happens on February 20th, on the 17th of February, we have a solar eclipse in Aquarius. Now, this is another new moon signature. It's a sun and the moon coming together in such a way as the light of the sun will be obscured. So this is another coming together. This is another conjunctions. We've got two massive conjunctions happening, meaning all of these energies are merging and blending. The sun is also in a situation where it malfunctions a little bit in Aquarius. It's said to be in its detriment or exile
Starting point is 00:15:23 in Aquarius. And then it's also being eclipsed. So again, we want to look at, well, what's happening with leaders because the sun represents leaders, who's leading us? Where are they leading us? And of course, famously, Aquarius is about the people. It is about the collective. It is about the whole of us. It's not the one. It's the many. So what big thing is happening this week that collects us? That reminds us possibly of our potential of our collective power, hopefully. We have. haven't had an eclipse in Aquarius near the North Node in a couple of decades. So this is a new beginning. This is, yes, a new moon. So it's already a new beginning. But it's a new moon that is
Starting point is 00:16:09 also a solar eclipse that is also happening in a new sign setting off a series of eclipses that will happen in this sign for the next couple of years. So two very new things, again, happening. eclipses are when the light gets obscured. We don't have a lot of different words for things in English. We're kind of a stripped down language without a lot of imagination. But there should be a word for what quality of light happens at an eclipse. It's that silvery light. We go from bright light to the shadowy light. Things look different under the beams of an eclipse. Of course, the ancients feared eclipses. We don't want the sun or the light, either light, the sun or the moon, to be obscured. We want them to be steady sources of power. But during an eclipse, they are very unstable. The source of power and light, especially in a solar eclipse, is unstable. That means that life is very unpredictable. The events that occur during eclipses speed things up. Like if you're like, huh, I don't know if this is work. I'm not sure this system is set up well. I'm not sure this relationship is really. I'm not sure this
Starting point is 00:17:26 whatever is work. Eclipse has come along and they are just like a domino effect. All of a sudden, all of the dominoes come crashing down. You're like, oh, that's what I was waiting for. That was a sign that I needed. Or, yep, here we are. Beginning of eclipse season to end of eclipse season. So February to March, things look very, very different. The next eclipse we have is in two weeks. It's at the beginning of March. So by the time eclipse season is over, you will have shed something, something massive in your life will have shifted, especially in terms of like where Aquarius is in your chart and where Virgo is in your chart. That's where the next eclipse will be. But a lot of events will speed up. And like we, were saying, like I was saying, the Saturn Neptune is signaling this other really important
Starting point is 00:18:22 new beginning that is going to definitely create a situation where the things we could count on, we can no longer count on. So we're losing structures. We know that, though. Like, it's, I'm not saying anything that you don't already know. If you're listening to this in 2026, you're like, yeah, duh. We, nothing is as normal. So the skies are, reflecting that. Again, it's not like the Saturn Neptune just came this week. It's been building for years. And so now we get to be like, oh, yeah, it's overheated. I can see where things are overheated. I can see where things are absolutely unlawful. Saturn is rules. Neptune's like, oh, well, we don't have those rules anymore. Oh, well, that's not what we're doing any longer. That's all gone.
Starting point is 00:19:11 So we have to deal with the anxiety and the fear of having lost things that we thought we could rely on. And as we know, and I hope we really, really, really, really, really know this now. Democracy or anything close to democracy, eventually having, living in a democracy can never be taken for granted. democracy isn't something we achieve once and then it's there. It's something like raising a child. You have to do it every day. You have to floss your teeth every day. You have to brush. You have to do all the things every day. We have to be involved in creating democratic systems every single day of our life. I don't care. Who's in power? What's going on? We can never take our eye off the ball. we can never take any of our rights for granted ever, ever, ever.
Starting point is 00:20:10 And I hope we never do again if we did. And we did. I did. You did. Some of you did. Some of you didn't. Some of you did. A lot of us did.
Starting point is 00:20:20 And it shows. We have to be engaged and involved in local politics in whatever way we can, meaning your library, your PTA, anything, anything. any system of governance that surrounds you, that is around you, be involved in it. This is the time. Remember that you are co-creating everything with everyone else. It's not all your responsibility to do, but you cannot give up the work that is yours alone to do. I really like messed up a Jewish proverb, but it's something like that.
Starting point is 00:20:58 The work is not yours alone to do, nor are you free to give it up. All right. The work is Saturn. The dream is Neptune. Making sure that we are working a little bit every day towards our ideals is a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in the best case scenario. Worst case scenario we don't need to talk about because we know what it is. We're living in it. And I'm hoping and praying and acting in ways that are going to move the change. channel of energy in our direction and have that fierce, forceful, fiery energy, things coming together in Ares being channeled in ways that just emboldened us and keep us deeply embedded
Starting point is 00:21:50 in our courage. Okay, back to the Eclipse and Aquarius. The Eclipse and Aquarius is not only a brand new set of eclipses and very unstable energetically because that's the nature of Eclipse and eclipses in general, and especially a solar eclipse when we want the light to be really steady. But it's also sitting in a square to Uranus, the planet of instability and freedom and liberation and chaos. Like it's sitting within a degree of a square to that planet, meaning this is a very electric moment. This is a very destabilizing moment. And so we have to think about the ways in which we can use that destabilizing energy for good. We need to think about how we can use that destabilizing energy to have a break and opening for us to move through. We are not at the whim only. We are at the
Starting point is 00:22:48 whim sometimes, obviously, but not only of everybody else's chaos or the, you know, toddler in charge is chaos, whatever toddler in charge you live under. We all live under a lot of them. We have to use those moments to be like, ah, there's an opening. Go. We have to stay very nimble and very present to what is occurring around us, to what is working around us, and then move with that new energy or with that new opening or with this, you know, these two new beginnings that are occurring. Now, the new moon, the solar eclipse in Aquarius is, again, square Uranus, and it's also sitting with Mars. So that gives me some pause.
Starting point is 00:23:35 That's a red flag for me. That's another red flag for me. Saturn is ruling this eclipse. Mars is ruling the Saturn Neptune conjunction. They can see each other. There's a sex style between Aquarius and Arias. So that's helpful. But having Mars involved with the solar
Starting point is 00:23:59 eclipse while the solar eclipse is also square Uranus is very caustic. It is going through a moment of turbulence with our knives out. I want us to be very cautious about sharp things flying about the cabin. You know what I mean? Like I want us to safeguard whatever it is we can and know that in Aquarius, Mars is very good at being a long-term strategist. And so I really want us to think, like, okay, I got to think locally and strategize long-term. I got to act right now in the ways that I can and should. And I also want to conserve some energy for the long-term situation. And I want to just double down on being careful and cautious.
Starting point is 00:24:55 this week in the ways that we know we need to be. The fact that Saturn is ruling this eclipse and Saturn is sitting with Neptune in the sign of its fall is another one of those like, oh, well, that's not the best situation I could ever think of. That is exceptionally messy. That's exceptionally paradoxical. And that is a very new kind of situation. And that's where we find ourselves this week. How do we react to this situation? How do we mindfully, thoughtfully show up to this moment, given the fact that the rules have changed, we are in a different landscape. and we might not have the tools that we would normally want to have in this situation. So we have to think about what tools do I have and how else could I use them?
Starting point is 00:25:56 Aquarius's great gift is a sturdiness in their mental application of their energy, meaning they are the thinkers of the zodiac. So if this huge signature is happening in Aquarius, even though the ruler is in a dicey situation right now, we have to put our thinking caps on. We have to be strategists. We have to be like, okay, what did the greatest thinkers of our time say and write and create when they were in a similar situation? Because we also have to remember, no matter how new this feels to us, people before us were in much worse situations. People beside us might be in other countries and other places, depending on where you are, in much more extreme conditions. And everyone throughout time
Starting point is 00:26:48 has left us these brilliant pearls of wisdom. This is time to go back into the vaults and be like, what did that activist say? What did that artist say? What did that teacher say? What did that legend say? do and not say and not do, how were the people of the past that I look up to or that, you know, gave me something of quality and of note? How did they show up to the most tyrannical situations that they faced? Different time, different conditions, but there's a lot of similarities in a lot of different timeframes. What did they risk? What did they just accept? What were they like, yep, that's the price. I'm ready to pay it. What am I contending with? What do I know is the price? What am I willing to pay? We all have to do all of those calculations. I know I'm talking in very
Starting point is 00:27:46 concretely heavy terms, but that's what this astrology feels like. It looks like something exceptionally weighty and very, very consequential. Sometimes things happen on the exact day the astrology is occurring. And sometimes the astrology of that week is reflecting, again, what is already occurred, what is already taking place. I do think the fact that there's an eclipse here, that that will ramp the speed of everything up. So if you're not in a city or a state or a province or a country where things feel chaotic, God bless. Wonderful. Love this. Send us a little help. Send us life raft, send other people, you know, we need, we need everybody around the world to be thinking about where we're going, to be envisioning how we get from here to there in whatever way
Starting point is 00:28:44 makes sense for you in your location. Again, how do we be involved in the cultivation, the curation of culture, of our societies, of our towns, of our cities, of our cities, of our places where we are located. How do we build solidarity everywhere? Because we all know it's top versus bottom all over the globe. It's the same system all over the globe. So these are moments, these big, big astrological events are moments that help us to understand the kind of global nature of the systemic oppression that we are all living in,
Starting point is 00:29:22 which is just all kinds of racial capitalism. So that's big, right? That's like something outside of us. That's not personal. On a personal note, on a personal level, the areas of your chart that contain Aquarius and Aries are being massively activated right now. So this is especially big for fixed signs, which is Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, especially big for Aquarius, obviously. And really big for Aries, Cancer, Libra. and Capricorn. The mutable signs, it's not like you're getting a total break because Uranus is coming for you. Uranus will enter Gemini in late April and that will light up your stuff. But those eight signs are really getting like, you know, the energy is getting ratcheted up
Starting point is 00:30:14 for all of you in different ways. But everybody has those signs somewhere in their chart. It's some house of your chart. So it's really good to go listen to your week. reading and find out how you can work with this energy and how you can not feel like you're at the whim of it, but instead be like, okay, this is what's leaving. This is what's speeding up. These are the consequences I'm facing on a personal level in my own personal life. And this is how I'm going to envision doing the things that I need to do to show up for this moment in my personal life each and every day. I'm going to spend a little bit of time in the morning and in the evening just watching myself in my imagination meet the moments successfully, meet the moments
Starting point is 00:31:07 as a fucking champion. Because what else, why else would we envision something? How can I envision myself being as courageous and beyond as I could imagine? How could I envision myself being as strategic and as thoughtful and as mindful as possible, as calm, as paste. Yes, as bold and as courageous, but also thoughtful and cautious in the ways that I need to be cautious. That's the thing is like everything that's happening in Aquarius right now and there's just so much, there's been so much and this is, you know, another one of those moments. and a big one, again, one that catapults us.
Starting point is 00:31:55 Everything that happens in Aquarius is very measured. Aquarius is the most measured sign. It's like, hold on, let me stand back. Let me get the biggest, broadest perspective that I can. Let me think my way logically through all of this. Let me take everything into consideration. Let me understand the situation. And then everything that's happening in Ares, the Saturn Neptune, is like,
Starting point is 00:32:20 What do you mean think? I just need to act. So we're also balancing those two signatures. The thinking deeply, taking time to really assess what is going on. Who is saying that to me? Why are they saying it to me? What exactly are they saying to me? What happened? Where did it happen? Who was involved? What might it mean? That piece of it, very important to have that functioning in all of us. And then once we know, there's the boldness of Ares to take action towards the dream, towards building a little bit at a time, towards the ideal, moving in a direction that eventually will get us to our ideal situation. Okay. Very, very. Very, very. You very, Very eventful week. A lot is going to go on or a lot just went on and this week is reflecting it.
Starting point is 00:33:20 And by the time we get to the end of the week, I do think we're going to be like, yep, that was quite a jolt of energy. The thing to remember during an eclipse is that we want to pace ourselves. I don't want you to opt out of life. I don't. I don't want you to not, you know, be involved in the ways that you need to be involved. I do want you to think about the ways in which you can ground yourself. What are the behaviors, what are the routines, what are the rituals, even if it's like a five second, deep breath in, hold deep breath out. Remember you have a body, remember your feet and legs and hips and thighs and tummy and ground into your body. That takes just a couple of seconds. We need to be as grounded as possible because, again, eclipses are very ungrounded times. They change everything. They eclipse everything.
Starting point is 00:34:25 They're kind of like non-rational states of being. And this is the first of two eclipses. So now we're in eclipse season. We're in the eclipse shadowlands. And we're not going to emerge for, a little while. So we're just going in. And then this big Saturn Neptune thing is happening. And that's going to feel ungrounded. It is ungrounded. And these are happening in fire and air signs, which is like if you mix fire and air, it's like something going viral. It's lighter fluid and wind and fire. And then it just goes. So we don't want to get swept up in the hype. We're We want to stay grounded and present and hydrated and nourished and connected to the Earth and connected to one another.
Starting point is 00:35:17 Like I said last week, the blessing of this moment is the fact that Venus is in Pisces. It's exalted. So relationships are everything. They are our golden ticket. And Jupiter is also exalted in cancer, which means our greatest currency is our care and the greatest good that we can demonstrate is caring and nurturing and nourishing one another, and these two are coming to form a trine. And that is also happening this week. On February 22nd, we have one of the best astrological moments and marks that we could ask for. Venus trines Jupiter.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Both are in the sign of their exaltation. Nothing could be better than that. There is a flow of friendly energy. So at the end of all of this frenetic activity, we have to remember to, yes, touch grass and hang out with our friends. We have to remember to nourish ourselves and each other. We have to remember to go to a movie, go see beautiful art, dress up, compliment one another, hang out with your people. This might be a moment, the 22nd, of a beautiful gathering, a beautiful, gathering, a beautiful uprising, an outpouring of love and compassion, and a reminder of how connected we are. Maybe on a small level, maybe on a massive level. We don't know. We have to move through it. But again, this week is so full of paradoxes. We start the week with a Mercury-Trin Jupiter.
Starting point is 00:36:56 That's gorgeous for big, bright, beautiful, bold ideas. And then we move into Pisces season on Wednesday. excellent for remembering we're all connected and compassion is queen. And then on Saturday, the moon reaches its exaltation degree in Taurus. Very comfy, cozy. Very, like, have some extra snacks and share them with your friends and all, everybody take a group nap. And then on Sunday, Venus, the ruler of that moon is cozying up to Jupiter. our luck, our bounty, our booty is coming through us remembering to care for, to connect to,
Starting point is 00:37:40 to be available to one another. Community comes at a cost. It's irritation and exasperation and annoyance. But once we move through that, we can get to like, it's better to know my neighbor than not. We need to remember we are not alone in anything that we feel. face, nothing. Nothing that you are struggling with right now. Are you alone in? There is someone right beside you, behind you, in front of you that is struggling with the same thing. You feel lonely, other people feel lonely. The only thing I know how to do to cure my loneliness is to reach out,
Starting point is 00:38:20 is to be of service, is to call people, is to see, is to be courageous and be like, okay, what haven't I done? What would get me out of my comfort? zone that might eventually lead to connection, even if it's a little staticky, even if it's a little rough, even if it's not exactly how I want it to be. It never is. What's the annoyance? What's the price that I need to learn how to pay in order to be a good community member? And that's where our luck and our beauty and our joy and our resilience gets filled up. That's where it comes through. That's what it is. That's this mark. Venus and Jupiter coming together and the signs of their exaltation. Are you kidding me? When I saw this astrology, I was like, what? And then I saw that it was happening
Starting point is 00:39:08 during an eclipse and a Saturn Neptune conjunction. I was like, really? But I don't get to have the astrology as I want it. I don't get to have it free and clear of all of the tough stuff. Just like I don't get to have community free and clear of being annoyed of myself and other people. That's just it. Thank God, we have this. Thank God's. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. So we've got a safety net. We have a little, you know, safety raft. We have something being given to us in the midst of all of this that says be in the flow of friendship. Be in the flow of feeling connected to one another. Do the things that you need to do to remind yourself how embedded in community you are. and need to be and could be and want to be. Envision yourself being surrounded by the people that keep you sane, that keep you feeling that, okay, this is worth it. I am not alone. I am not alone.
Starting point is 00:40:13 I am not alone. You're not alone. We're not alone. We have each other, but we need to mobilize towards one another. And I do think that there is something on Sunday that does that. So that's my hope. That's my prayer. That's the blessing that these skies promise. I promise. I promise. Now it's time for a question from the audience. Thank you so much for sending in the voice memos. Hi, Janie. This is your queer, fixed NYC bestie Leo Sun, Torres Rising, Aquarius Moon. Okay. Fixed, fixed, fixed. I just wanted to know, because you were. record ahead of time. What does it like for you to see the events that unfold and do you listen to
Starting point is 00:41:02 your podcast when it comes out and how does it affect how you approach your practice and your podcast? Thanks. Great question. One of the cringiest things that I have to do is watch the clips back because we have clips that I then put on social media. The last, thing I ever want to do is listen to myself. I talk so much. And like a lot of people, I don't like to look at myself. I don't like to listen to myself. I have had enough of myself by the end of the day. So I don't go back and listen to my podcasts. But I do have people that do. And I do know what I've said for the most part. And again, I'll have these clips. And a lot of times I'll be like, oh, I should have that in a different way. You know, I'm very, very, very critical of what I say and what I do. I'm very
Starting point is 00:42:00 you know, specific and I like to get everything right, which is a recipe for disaster. Don't try it. But I will say that when I've especially done the year aheads, so this year you've got monthly readings and I started those in July of 2025. So I had no idea, you know, what was going to take place by the time we get to 26. But all I know is the astrology. And so when I watch it play out, it's always so eerie to me. Like, it's the weirdest job in the world. It's half of the time it's so affirming and it's so awe-inspiring, especially when I'm giving readings to people, like to my clients. Then I can be like, oh, wow, this is so beautiful. You were born at this time and you do this and look at the perfect, you're the perfect amulet of this moment in time because you do
Starting point is 00:42:54 da, da, da, da, da. And then this happened when you had this transit. And in that moment, in those moments, I feel really inspired. And when gorgeous things happen, like on the Jupiter Kazimi, when Mamdani wins the primary, it's just like, oh my God, that's the best thing that could have happened. It's all about local power. This is a person who builds from that place of local power. Like, that is so awe-inspiring.
Starting point is 00:43:17 And then when really tough things happen on really tough astrology, it's just kind of like I'm, you know, I'm bracing myself like the rest of us because I see what's happening in real time. And I also know the astrological signatures. So I guess what I do in that time is I look, as you might have heard me say, at how we respond to the brutality, how we respond to the violence, how we respond to the tyranny. And that's what I focus on. I'm like, okay, what's being woken up in us? How are we learning to deal with collapse?
Starting point is 00:43:50 How are we learning to process grief in real time? How are we learning to deal with endings and with empire and the falling apart of everything that we've relied on or thought, we're taught was going to be inevitable? Are we creatively responding to this moment? But because I don't listen back to full episodes, A, I just don't have time and B, maybe I should. I do listen back to like, I'll listen to the, the, like, meditations every once in a while. I'll be like, what did I say? What am I saying? So I will listen back to stuff. But I know when I've connected the dots, because people will tell me, like, you'll reach out to me or DM me or see me on the street and be like,
Starting point is 00:44:37 oh, you said this and then this thing happened. I'll be like, oh, right, that is what happened or that is what I said. So I get the feedback loop without having to listen to myself or watch myself too much. Do I already have to enough just by being on social media? But that is how I like test and see like, is this working? What did I say? How did I read this moment and what is showing up? So mostly it's from you all. You all informed me when I got it, when I, you know, named it when I didn't or whatever. But I do get a lot of feedback from everybody. So that's how it goes. And unfortunately, fortunately, all of it, you know, it usually is eerily accurate.
Starting point is 00:45:21 And I think if we know the main tenets of astrology, it is just a language to read. Like anyone can see that this is going to be a very important consequential time because the last time it happened, ABC took place. And here we are again. And oh, yeah, that is what people are talking about. That is what the headlines are saying. That is what the chatter is on social media. Like we're using the same labels to describe this time as that time. So those are like the main kind of key points. But I do, I do listen to feedback. I do read your comments and I do read a lot of my DMs, not all of them, but a lot of them. And so I do know, you know, when, when it's landing and, and also when it's not. Like, sometimes there's really great astrology, like, oh, this is so good.
Starting point is 00:46:16 And then the world just goes to hell. And you're just like, everything has a dumpster fire. How did that happen during this time? And then you have to, you know, kind of do a little deeper digging on it and be like, well, that was a really Mars moment. So then it's all. And I was hoping it would be better. But we also don't know what's going to come out of a moment until we live through it a little bit longer and you see how it goes. So every time I name something, which is all the time, it's a little nerve-wracking, to be honest, because I never want to be hyperbolic and I never want to overemphasize things that are going to be hard, but I want us all to be prepared. But every time I name something and then I live through it, I learn so much about
Starting point is 00:47:01 it. I'm like, oh, I named this part about it. But next time that happens, I'm going to name all these other things because I really get to watch it. I'm really deeply inside the astrology and the world events all the time so that I'm learning and learning and learning about, okay, the next time that happens, I can expect maybe these other things to occur so that I can be more accurate or we can be kind of better situated in the full scope of what these moments. mean, what these moments and time mean for us, personally and collectively, always. All right, y'all. Thank you so much for joining.
Starting point is 00:47:42 Look, we're just taking this one beat at a time. Everything is in play. I'm just going to keep saying that. We don't know how it's all going to turn out. When these moments that kind of like ratchet everything up occur, we just have to be like, again, hydrated, rested, fed, cut the fat out of your daily life. Do not get embroiled in trolls and bots and their arguments online. Keep your dopamine levels, you know, topped up. Do not doomscroll right now.
Starting point is 00:48:15 Stay informed and get off the apps. Save your brain. Save your thinking capacities. I want us to be very, yes, Aquarian in our ability to reclaim our minds. I want us to be visionaries in terms of the, that Saturn Neptune conjunction so that we can build towards the things we need to build towards in a very courageous, fierce, confident kind of way. All right. I'll see you back here next week where we will talk about the upcoming Mercury Retrograde because that's going to happen during
Starting point is 00:48:50 an eclipse season. It just seems to happen every eclipse season for years now. So let's talk about the very messy Mercury retrograde moments that are going to come and how to work through them through the next eclipse that's ruled by Mercury. It's a time, y'all, but we're going to get through it together, together, together. Please use that Venus, Jupiter trine. It is so glorious. It's happening in a week full of all the paradoxes. We're not going to get it how we want it, but we're going to use it to the best of our ability. So I'll see you both at the park and at the protest and at the organizing meeting and at the grocery store, farmer's market. Okay, bye for me.
