On Wednesday, Venus goes on to trine Uranus (the planet of surprises), creating a gorgeous signature for unexpected pleasures, and Mars sextiles Neptune — a signal to delve into our dreams. On Thursday, the Sun squares Uranus, instigating a touch of disruption. And on Friday, the New Moon in Aquarius occurs in the same aspect, sparking a change in our collective awareness. Lastly, on Saturday, Mercury makes a square to Jupiter (the planet of abundance), which could lead to some big news. Hello and welcome. This is the Astrology of the Week Ahead podcast. I'm your host, Chani, Nicholas. In this podcast, we look at the astrology of the upcoming week and how it will be landing for all of us collectively. In this episode, we're talking about the astrology for the week of February. 5th, which has a lot of really important pieces, astrologically speaking, in it. First off, on Monday, we have the conjunction, which means the coming together of the planet of communication and the planet of subterranean power dynamics issues and situations. So Monday looks like it is reflecting a time, a very deep, important, impactful conversations that probably lead to the excavation of a truth or two.

It's excellent astrology for research for going in deep. It's excellent astrology therapy. It's excellent astrology for getting done. down to the truth. The truth that is usually submerged underneath the surface or the veneer of being nice or playing a game or doing something that is socially acceptable. This is about getting down underneath all of that to the core of something. And we're going to keep doing this week after week over the course of the next couple of weeks because Pluto has just moved into Aquarius. So it's sitting at zero degrees of Aquarius. It's kind of like right at the door.

It's as if when you walk into a party, you like bump into someone as you open the door. That's what Mercury is doing this week. And next week, Venus and Mars will do the same thing. All of that means that there's going to be a series of events from this week into and through next week that are about getting down to the truth, getting down underneath the surface. revealing something that is subterranean. This week, it is information. Next week, it will be about determination and drive and also about relationship issues. We're not there yet, but I just wanted to give you kind of the layout. Something is going bump in the night. We are moving into a situation where we are like, oh, whoa, I didn't know all of this was here. And there's going to be times between this

week and next where it feels like or is like the ground kind of opens up and we get to see down into the basement of something or down into the core of something. That's what happens with Pluto. Pluto is a god, a deity of the underworld, we could say, or when things happen around Pluto, it tends to reveal the things that happen either in the shadows, in the dark, underground, or in the realms that aren't normally understood by conscious awareness. So it's the things that are lurking. Okay, so that's just Monday. Monday and next week, but that's Monday.

Tuesday, Venus, planet of relationships, is moving through a part of the sky that's perfectly in between the two eclipse points. When this kind of astrology happens, we can be pretty sure that there will be a teaching a lesson in regards to relationships, connection, bonding, and the ways in which we are learning how to people please less and less and how to honor more and more both our individual needs, but also the needs of the relationship. So how do we balance all of that? That seems to be what Tuesday is bringing up for us. And it will probably bring us a situation or two that will make that question hard to answer. And that's kind of the point. It should be. It should be something

that we wrestle with. How can I honor my needs and honor the needs of the relationship? How do I honor my own individuality and agency while not having that be something that's corrosive to the fabric of my unions? On Wednesday, Venus then goes on to trine Uranus, which feels like an update to our relationships and an update to the ways in which we create beauty. And it's also a gorgeous signature of unexpected pleasures. Also on Wednesday, Mars is sex-diling Neptune, which is a signal that it is a time to move towards an ideal or towards a dream. So Wednesday is really lovely astrology. for enjoying oneself and fantasizing and dreaming and delving into unexpected ways of connecting to people,

to beauty, to art, to culture, to all of it. I'm not mad at Wednesday at all. Thursday and Friday, however, are very disruptive. Thursday, the sun squares Uranus, and then on Friday there's a new moon in Aquarius, and that new moon is also in that sort. square to Uranus. And this is what that could mean. This is a fresh start. This is a new beginning. And it's a new beginning in a lot of different ways because it's asking us to break from the norm. This new moon is saying, we got to do it differently. And it's happening in Aquarius where Pluto just

entered. And Pluto is saying you have to remember the power of the collective. We have to keep our awareness on what is impacting the whole of humanity. What does it mean to be part of a whole unit of people to see ourselves as small pods that are all interconnected around the world and to understand the power of that? This new moon is the first new moon in Aquarius since Pluto's moved into Aquarius. So it's also kind of initiating something about that collective awareness and that collective moment. And it's a really good time to understand what to focus on. Aquarius knows how to focus, and it knows clarity. It knows the value of clarity. And there's something about Monday's astrology with Mercury and Pluto coming together in Aquarius that is about clarity,

and it's about digging deep into and focusing really intently on something, on learning something, on understanding the structure of something, on getting down to the root of something intellectually. And then again, next week we're going to have that with Mars and with Venus. So there is a need to focus now. Or it does seem like the sky is reflecting that this is the time where we want to focus, where we want to search for clarity, where we want to be in a place of understanding like I can have certainty here. I might not have certainty in all of my life, but this is where I have some certainty. This I know for sure. And to really dig into that place, we can't know everything. We can't fix everything. We can't be everything to everyone. But the

things that we can and want to focus on, we should. And this Mercury conjunct Pluto and then this new moon happening in Aquarius, and again, with the astrology happening next week, is all asking us to take that seriously, take our ability to focus and really thoroughly learn something seriously. And in that, there's a breakthrough. This new moon is about breakthroughs. This new moon is saying we can focus deeply and through that deep focus and that ability to be certain about something, it will lead us to a kind of opening. So there's a commitment in a way to learning something. Aquarius loves to learn. Aquarius is the major geek of the zodiac, one of them at least. And it'll it'll vie for that title with Virgo for sure to the ends of the earth. And maybe

Gemini too. But Aquarius is the sign that really wants to be thoroughly studied in a subject. And this is our invitation to be so. And because Pluto is there, there's something here that could be very satiating to learn about the history of movements, the history of activism, about a certain subject. How do a great, group of people actually move towards a common goal that hopefully is liberation and freedom and life for all. So that's one of the things that this new moon could be speaking about. On a very personal level, wherever this new moon is happening for you, it's asking you to do that thing, that area, that topic of your life differently. It's asking you to approach it in a new kind of way. And

because of the nature of this astrology, the end of the week, could feel a little chaotic. You can be like, this new moon does not seem to be my friend. And I'm not saying it'll feel cute and cozy. But I am saying that this kind of astrology does awaken us to a truth

and awaken us to the changes that we need to make. Not because we just need to change because we're bored, but because of thoroughly, deeply understanding something and the reasons for it And that's from that place, when we change from that kind of place, we can really make a huge impact on our life and then hopefully on the world. Saturday, Mercury makes us square to Jupiter, which seems quite confident and maybe bringing some good news. It feels like it's bringing some big news.

So there's a lot of talking happening on Saturday. There's a lot of conversations. and it's a good day to announce things. It's a good day to exchange ideas. It's a good day to think broadly about a plan or a future endeavor and also to check yourself to make sure you're not overextending into a place of just having agreed to too much or trying to take on too much.
