My name is Channie Nicholas. This is the Astrology of the Week Ahead podcast. And in this episode, we are talking about the week of July 24th. Venus has just stationed retrograde. And on Thursday the 27th, it's going to cross paths with Mercury. Mercury is the megaphone or the microphone or the communicator. And anything that it comes across,

it tends to relay a message or to amplify the message of the message. that other planet. And so if Mercury is amplifying Venusian messages, it's going to be amplifying messages of appreciation and love and connection and sweetness and good things. And also because Venus is retrograde, we're reviewing our relationship to relationships, to connection, to love, to pleasure. And we're also learning how to re-center the things that we value. And Mercury on Thursday is going to cross over some of that material. And it's going to give us a clue. It's going to give us a little cue in regards to the upcoming lessons of this Venus retrograde. So you might like, here, hear from an ex or meet up with somebody that you haven't spoken to in a long time.

That's like an important relationship in some way, shape, or form in your life. There could be moments this week, especially come the end of the week, that feel like there's a reunion or there's something that's coming back again that's helping you to understand a relationship issue or dynamic. And again, there's hopefully a message or two of appreciation. And, you know, you could be the bearer of that as well. It's a really good time to be very loud and be very clear about what we love and who we love and why we love them.

And it's a really good moment to announce something that maybe isn't new. Like I wouldn't start something on this day necessarily. but it is a good day to proclaim what you appreciate, what you love. And there's a way in which there could be like an oath to love in some way, shape, or form on this day. And because this Venus retrograde is happening in Leo, it's dramatic. It's performative. It is a little bit of an exhibitionist, which is how. helpful because we're going to get the message. Like it's not subtle. This Venus retrograde has a lot of things to demonstrate for us. And like all things that happen in fire signs, it's going to be in our face. It's going to be full of pizzazz. It is definitely going to be loud in some way, shape, or form. So listen in and take note of, again, the relationships that maybe you haven't been in contact.

And what do you start to kind of tune into about what it is your desiring, both from your relationships and your connections to others, but also in regards to your own creative self-expression? This time is related to 2015, July, August of 2015. That was the last time we had a very similar Venus retrograde. So it's really important to know where Leo is in your chart, what house it occupies and what that house means. And through that lens, you can start to think of this next.

couple of weeks as a really important reunion with those topics of your life. So it's not only about relationships to people, but it's about the relationship to the part of your life that this Venus retrograde is impacting. So pay attention to whatever it is that's coming through in terms of messaging. And I will say that the beginning of the week, like the Tuesday, Wednesday of it all, even some parts of Monday, might feel like emotionally cathartic or deep or a little intense. The moon is going to cross over the south node on Monday-ish, depending on your time zone, and then move into Scorpio for a couple of days. So there could be like

some deeper tones to the beginning of the week. It's just that no like planet to planet besides the moon astrology is happening. So just bearing that in mind. We are kind of focusing on the first part of this week, the messages that are coming through and what we're starting to learn about who we are in relationships and how we can tend to them better. And there is something that we are going to retrieve. There are layers that are going to be peeled back through this Venus retrograde. that's going to help us to heal something.

And I really do believe because it's happening in Leo, that it's something about being lovable. And it's something about how we can creatively self-express. And because of that, it's about what has gotten in the way of that thus far. So any kind of misconception about the self, about your own talent, about your lovability, about your desirability, about your creativity is hopefully going to get interrupted or will be given the opportunities to interrupt narratives that aren't true about those areas of our life, I think, in some very important ways. On Friday, what happens is Pluto

makes a square to the nodes, which definitely amplifies issues about power, are own personal power resources. And we might see like on the world stage something about power, about resources, about finances, definitely about finances, banking systems, huge, big deal. Pluto's finishing up. It's transit and Capricorn. It's not finished yet, but it's doing another last little review. And the nodes definitely speak to something that feels like very timely and connected to the fate of something. And because Pluto and Capricorn has so much to do with the financial systems of our world, and it's so linked to the financial crisis of 2008 and all the stuff that happened also this year as it moved from Capricorn to Aquarius, that I think as it

squares the nodes, we might see a headline or two that is about that that that pertains to that. Then on Friday, Mercury is going to move into Virgo. And it is going to be there for 700 years, literally, not literally, but close to it. Mercury is going to be in Virgo for forever because it will station retrograde there at the end of August. And it will be there until the beginning of October, which is really wild for Mercury because it can zoom through a sign in like three weeks. So it is going to spend a lot of time in the part of our chart that contains Virgo. For us collectively, this is going to be a nitpicky time. This is going to be about details and specifics. It is going to be about the magic of systems and understanding them and adhering to them.

It is going to be about counting and about some kind of skill development. We talked a lot about that a couple weeks ago with Mars moving in to Virgo. And the same is true here because we're going to have to back. track and relearn and double triple check and fact check and all the stuff with Mercury retrograding through Virgo. On one hand, a Mercury retrograde in Virgo is just like so classic because Mercury rules Virgo. So it could be just like a mercury retrograde to the nth degree. And because Virgo is so good at picking up on the details and what is incorrect, loves to point out what's not right? This could just be extra, like extra, extra, extra Mercury retrograde read all about it.

I will say that as soon as Mercury moves into Virgo, it's starting to make an opposition to Saturn, which occurs on August 1st. So we're moving towards next week when we're going to get a huge fact check. We're all going to get a reality check. So best to not assume anything or like overplan or be like a little too sloppy with the details because August 4th is going to give us a really intense reflection of what is the truth. And also on August 1st, we're having a full moon in Aquarius. So there's a lot of like know-it-all energy in the air. And there is a lot of like need to discipline how we're working with. facts, numbers, data, and really be very correct about whatever it is we're doing. So we'll talk more

about that full moon next week here. So come back and we will finish that thought. All that to say, you know, leave the hyperbole out of it maybe for a moment. Just be a little stricter with what comes out of your mouth or what you put on paper and definitely what you sign as of Friday and definitely into next week. All right, y'all, listen up for the messages of sweetness and love and appreciation and give them, give them out. Like, just tell everybody why they're amazing on Thursday. It's going to help a lot. And definitely, when those messages come towards you, please take time to enjoy and receive them.

And so all sweetness, all ease, all pleasure, all joy is really welcome. and think of it as a kind of solar panel that you want to soak up all that light and all that warmth for the little bit of an underground journey that we're going to be going on.
