I need you to time travel with me for one moment.
I want you to go back 12 years into the past.
Think of June July 2014 to June July of 2015.
And think about what you grew yourself into over the course of that year.
Go back into your calendars, go back into your camera roll, go back on your Instagram.
I don't know, whatever it was you were doing back then, go back and look at the receipts.
What did you begin in that 12-month time?
Now, 12 years later, we are at a similar type of growth edge, growth moment, and growth momentum.
And this week, we get to plant a seed for,
what we want to grow ourselves into over the course of the next year.
So this is the second part of our time travel.
I want you to take yourself 12 months into the future.
And 12 months into the future, you is going to turn back and say,
thank you.
Thank you for beginning that thing in July of 2026.
because July of 2027 me is so grateful to you. Why? Because look at all that we grew ourselves into.
Look at all that flourished. Look at all that became. Look at all of the bounty and all of the abundance
that was made possible because of what you began this week.
Hello and welcome. This is the Astrology of the Week Ahead podcast. I'm your host, your Astro Bestie. In this
episode, we are talking about the week of July 27th. The week of July 27th is a monumental week.
The astrology this week is wild. It's really, really, really profound. The biggest signature
of the week is that Jupiter and the sun are coming together for their annual Kazimi,
their annual meat cute, their annual little kissing contest, their annual conjunction.
And what that means is that we are planting a new seed of potential.
This is what we are growing over the course of the next year.
We did this last year, but that's when Jupiter was in cancel.
This year, Jupiter is in Leo, or over the course of the next 12 months, Jupiter is in Leo.
And so we are planting seeds of things that are Leonine in style and in impact and in flavor.
So what is Leo known for?
Well, Leo is known for its ability to lead.
Leo is known for its creative self-expression.
Leo is known for getting attention, for getting notice,
for being cute and charismatic and for going forth, full blaze, full wattage, full shine, spotlight on.
So my question to you is, one year from now, what would you be so incredibly grateful to yourself for having begun?
my other question to you is because we don't always know what the thing is going to turn into
that we begin. So my real other question maybe before you begin those things, plant those seeds,
is what, when you get really quiet and still and very in your own knowing,
what is it that you feel your creative energy wants to do next? What is the thing that is dying
to come forth through you? What is it? What is it? What is the thing that is dying to come forth through you?
What is the thing that is just trying to get your attention to make sure that you do the next step
to make it into a possibility, a reality eventually?
What is that thing that you want to do?
What is that creative self-expression?
What is the art?
What is the dance?
What is the fashion?
What is the creative challenge?
What is the kickboxing, the paddleboarding, the pickleball?
the like fun and games of it all. What is it that you need to do just for you? Just to be able to feel
like you are alive and just a little bit more creatively self-expressed. Anything, anything,
anything that you want to do. This is the week to be like, I'm going to do it. I'm just going to
start. I don't need to know where it's going to go. I'm just going to begin. Begin the thing.
the creative project that you really want to begin. The other piece of this that I have been
talking about for a little while now is that this is the time for us to move into our leadership.
I don't mean that you need to exhaust yourself. I don't mean you need to take on a new job.
I don't mean any of that. I mean, what does it look like for you to sit in the throne of yourself,
of your life, of your energy, of your potency, of your power. What does it look like, feel like,
sound like for you to be in the seat of your own energy? You're not trying to be anybody else.
You're not trying to look like anybody else. You're not trying to impress anybody else.
You're just here to be in the fullness of your own energy, your own creative energy, your own
life source. That's what this week is about. Because this is a Jupiter, Kazimi, in Leo.
And it's saying, this is a time to make an oath, to take an oath to your creative potency,
to expressing your life energy. Jupiter is a planet of making an oath. The sun is the planet
of how we like live out our purpose. The sun is how we shine. The sun is our sovereignty. The sun is our
sense of being royal, not being a supremac, but being like in our own royalty. And so there is a need
right now or there is an massive encouragement from the heavens right now to take an oath to really
understanding and marrying yourself with that. No more playing it small. And if you're
If you're not going to play it small, yay, thank goodness. This is not the time. We don't need
anybody else to play it small. But if you're not going to play it small, if you're going to
try to bust out of that, you have to also confront the fear that you have around being seen.
What fear comes up for you when you think about being visible, being seen, being witnessed?
being known. Trust me, I understand. I have a lot of those fears myself. The only way I can do this work is
by pretending that nobody's going to watch it or see it. That's how I get myself in the studio.
That's how I get myself recording things. That's how I started all of this. I was like,
well, no one's going to read these horoscopes anyways. Might as well write them as I want to.
And that's what I do. I just do things how I want to do them because I imagine that nobody's really going to see it.
I know otherwise, but it's how I kind of trick myself into doing it.
And then I work through the fear that comes up once it's already out in the world.
But it's not like my fear goes away.
I actually have to have a deeper awareness of it the more I'm witnessed in the world or the more
I'm seen in the world or the further out into the world I go, the greater my awareness has to be
about the fears that are lurking in my subconscious, ready to attack me if I don't name them
and see them and understand them and honor them and be like, okay, is this legitimate? Is it
unnecessary? Like, what is this fear? And so the more we move out into the world,
the deeper we have to go in order to hold ourselves, right? The deeper,
we need to support ourselves. The further out we go, the deeper down into ourself we need to go.
If we want to maintain an equilibrium and a kind of balance. And I'm not just saying that.
I'm also connecting this to this week's astrology. Y'all, this week's astrology is wild.
Because on Wednesday, there is a once a year. Does happen every year. But every time it happens,
it's in a new sign. A once a year, Jupiter and the Sun conjunction. This is the beginning of a
new Jupiter cycle. The beginning of a new Jupiter cycle is a cycle of wisdom, of abundance,
of generosity, of growth, and of hopefully prosperity in the area of your life, the area of your
chart that contains Leo. It's all for all of us in regards to leadership and creative self-expression.
But it's in a certain area of your chart. And that, my friends, you need to go and listen to your
reading for this week four. But it's very important to understand where Leo is in your chart.
But at the same time, the same day as the Jupiter-Kazimi, there's a full moon in Aquarius
directly across from the sun in Jupiter, and that full moon is two degrees away from Pluto
in Aquarius. Pluto's the depths. So while I'm encouraging us to move into positions of
leadership that are right for us, that are ours to move into, not just any old position of
leadership, the one that you know you need to fill out, fulfill, live into. Well, I'm saying that,
and that makes us more visible, and that makes us more vulnerable, therefore, that's the Jupiter
and the sun on Wednesday coming together. It's planting a seed of creative self-expression and
leadership. Across from that is the full moon, which is shining a light on Pluto, which is the depths.
which is the darkness, which is the underworld, which is plunging into the deepest laid fears that we have,
understanding what is below the surface in our unconscious, in our psyche, in our collective,
all of it. So this full moon is sitting right next to Pluto and it's going to expose something that has been lurking in the
shadows. At the same time, there is this gorgeous moment that is full of potential that is about
planting a seed for our growth over the next 12 months. And I need us to take that seriously.
It is transformative. But it cannot be something that is superficial. It can't just be like,
oh, well, this would be nice to have. That's not really going to cut it. That's not really going to
resonate with this astrological moment. That's not what this is about. This is about being like,
okay, this is what is meaningful to me. This is what has purpose to me. And that I will go to bat for.
That I will move into a position of leadership about. That is the reason to risk something.
Or this is what I will risk something for. We want to plant seeds that have meaning for us.
and those seeds that we plant are going to demand that we transform our relationship to something.
See, I can't just want to be bigger in the world without also understanding to do that means I've got to go deeper into myself,
deeper into understanding what I fear, what holds me back, etc.
I cannot want abundance out in the world without facing my feelings of lack.
I cannot want to grow in the world and not want to confront what has been holding me back from
growing all this time.
It's got to be both.
So as you plant your seeds of abundance that will unfold over the next 12 months, you and me
and everybody we know, we're also going to be planting seeds of depth and of personal inquiry
and of being ready to confront the things that have kept us small.
So this is a week of major transformation, of turning our own personal gunk into gold.
this is a week that is going to lead to many a transformative breakthrough.
And it's also a week that is going to bring about some wild turns of events.
This is such a dramatic full moon that it's going to feel like an eclipse.
And the next two lunations, the next new moon and the next full moon are eclipses.
So this is my prediction. By the end of August, there is going to be some major leadership
change. There is going to be some kind of either person that is no longer in a position of
leadership. They're gone. They're demoted. They're taken out. Something. Or the cracks,
the fault lines, the gap.
the gashes, the openings are going to be so pronounced and severe that within a very short time,
that will happen. I think there is a great transition that is going to start to take place
in terms of leaders, leadership, a all on the planet. And so this full moon is not an eclipse,
but the North Node is in Aquarius, and I do think that this full moon will feel like an eclipse.
sitting right next to Pluto, the planet of transformation and change.
It's an Aquarius, the sign where Pluto always brings us some sort of revolution,
some sort of magnification of people power.
On the opposite end of this full moon is the sun and Jupiter coming together
to form a very potent, transformative, potent, potentiating moment that's saying,
we need to grow ourselves. We need to grow our own understanding of ourselves and our capacity.
Never underestimate the power that you have. You are not all powerful, but you are so powerful.
This is the moment to realize that and that, of course, collectively, we can do anything.
When we come together in solidarity, we can change everything. And we deserve
to fully realize that power that we have.
The other things that are happening this week, pale in comparison.
But on Monday, the sun makes a trine to Neptune,
and it makes a sextile to Uranus,
which is baked into this full moon.
So this full moon is making contact with the three outer planets,
meaning it is a time that is collectively and personally going,
to light us all up. It is illuminating the big change that has been taking place all July.
On Tuesday, some friction enters the air. Venus in Virgo, a sign where it doesn't do so well in,
is making a square with Mars and Gemini. So this feels like communication issues in our relationships
is really up for debate. Who said what? What did you mean when you said that? That's not
what I said, do you have receipts? Like, it feels like a moment of friction around how we
interact with one another. It also feels like a little bit of a rough patch for justice.
It feels like a little bit of a rough patch, probably for women, for some kind of prominent
female figure out in the world, some sort of issue around gender, inequality. Venus right now is in
its fall. And so those that are not in positions of power, societally speaking, especially as it
pertains to gender and gender inequality, will probably go through something. So it feels like
a public figure might be kind of like raked through the coals this week. I hope not. But oftentimes
when these two do this thing, we can look at the headlines and be like, oh,
that's the patriarchy doing its thing with that powerful woman or femme or queer person and the like.
But again, the most important thing that is going to happen this week is this full moon.
This feels like a once in a lifetime kind of full moon.
It's full of so much potential, but it's also just rife with power conflicts, power issues, power dynamics,
and unearthing all of the stuff that goes on underneath the surface and having things be exposed
come to light on a public kind of level. On a personal level, this is, again, about us confronting,
realizing, working through issues that keep us from our own potential, that keep us from
realizing our creative capacity and that keep us from realizing our creative capacity.
and that keep us dulled down.
We want to work through that.
We want to compost that stuff.
We want to remove the sludge from the system.
Get it out of our channels so that the creative energy can really flow through.
Because we have a tremendous amount to create.
And that's the other piece of this.
Pluto can tend to be quite destructive.
It can tend to dismantle things, which is very important. We have a lot to dismantle. But without a
counter, potently powerful, counter narrative of creation, we're only ever in destruction and
dismantling. We also have to lead with the generative power of creativity. And that's what the
Jupiter Kazimi is also trying to bring us. All right, now it's time for a question from the audience.
Thank you so much for sending these in. They're very, very helpful. Please keep setting them in.
You can send them in in the Chani app. You can do a little voice memo there.
Hi, Johnny. My question is about triple signs. So my sun, rising and moon are all in Virgo.
And I was just curious if that meant something special, if I'm just an extra intense Virgo.
So yeah, thank you.
Yes and yes, you're definitely an extra intense Virgo.
And it also means that you were born just around sunrise.
You were born around dawn.
I don't know if it was before, during, after,
but if your rising sign is the same as your sun sign,
it means the sun was coming up over the eastern horizon
in the same chunk of the sky as is the eastern horizon.
and so the sun and the ascendant become the same when you're born around sunrise.
Now, the moon being there, I don't know if you are a new moon, if you are just before a new moon,
exact new moon, or just after the new moon, but it means that you're born also either at the end
or the beginning of a lunar cycle. So you're born at the beginning of the day,
you're born at dawn, and then you're born somewhere at either the end,
the inception or the beginning of a new lunar cycle.
The most important thing that I think we need to go to, besides the description of Virgo and
Virgo's in general, we need to go to where your mercury is.
Because Mercury rules not only your ascendant, which means that it is the steers person
of the ship of your life.
So exceptionally important to know where Mercury is because it's steer.
you in a certain direction. But it also rules your sun and then it also rules your moon. And so
Mercury is in charge of so much. Mercury is in charge of the direction of your life. It's in charge of
how you live out and express your light. And it's also in charge of your daily rhythms and moods
and meeting your own needs and emotional regulation and also your ancestry and your home and
your family and it's just got a tremendously powerful, potent job. When you have a couple of things
all in one sign, the planet that rules that sign is in charge of everything there. And so that's
going to give you this other layer of meaning about how Mercury functions in that sign, where it is,
what it's interested in, where it wants to go to. So yes, on the emphasis of the virgo-ness of your chart
and of your life, but also that mercury is going to give us that next layer of nuanced information.
And also, it's going to tell us so much about your life's direction and how to live it out,
what you need to do in order to feel fully self-expressed and, like,
like you are moving in a direction that is satisfying on many different levels.
All right, y'all, thank you so much. That was such a good question.
Go to the Chani app and read about your mercury.
Go to the Chani app and read about the ruler of your ascendant because it, again,
is such a major factor in understanding where you're supposed to go in this lifetime.
All right, y'all, that is the reading for the week.
please make sure you go and check your Chani up. I didn't say this, but I'm recording this in June.
So I don't know what's going on in July. So if I'm saying things and you're like, wow, that's really
insensitive, Chanii, that you said it like that. I don't know anything. If it didn't happen in June,
I don't know it. So this is my unbiased reading of the future because I'm not there with you yet. I'll get there.
Hopefully, God willing. All right, y'all, come back. We will talk about preparing for the eclipse
on August 12th in Leo and what it means for you and me and everybody else.
Bye for now.
