Episode Date: June 13, 2022In this podcast, New York Times bestselling author and astrologer Chani Nicholas discusses the astrology of the week and what it might mean for us all. The astrology of the week of June 13th, 2022, em...boldens us to take action from a place of optimism, thanks to a Full Moon in Sagittarius. When the Moon is in the mutable fire sign, it is on the hunt for the next great adventure — and when punctuated by Jupiter in Aries, our desire to jump headfirst into life gets turned up a notch. But as Tuesday’s Full Moon sextiles Saturn and squares Neptune, the lunar cycle also brings with it a tension between a need for stability and a flair for escape. Experiment with both, then act from conviction. The payoff promises to be worth the price. It's not enough just to have hope. It's not enough just to have faith. We have to be able to back
up every desire with the actions necessary to make that desire manifest. In astrology, the element of
fire is a very active one, which is to say that anything that is placed in a fire sign is going to
embody a lot of energy and have a lot of activity going on. And there's one fire sign in particular,
whose main motivation and main action is to move out into the world on faith.
This sign engages with life and takes action from a place of optimism.
It's more likely than not to take action with the assumption that everything is going to work out.
That sign is, of course, Sagittarius.
And this week we have a full moon in Sagittarius, which means we'll all be able to access this medicine.
Hello and welcome.

In this episode, we're looking at the Astrali-Nocles.
of the week of June 13th.
If we were just going to focus on one thing for this week,
or if you just want one thing to focus on,
it's definitely the full moon.
Even if you're just thinking visually,
full moons are a showstopper.
And they tend to be so as well in our life,
energetically, physically, emotionally, psychologically,
and also in terms of the crescendo of events that occur around a full-
moon for all of us. So the full moon in Sagittarius arrives on Tuesday, June 14th at 4.52 a.m.
Pacific time. As already mentioned, Sagittarius is a sign that operates from a place of expansive
beliefs, optimism, adventure, and general enthusiasm for life.
Sagittarius is always on the hunt for the next great adventure.
the next great quest. And it is really a sign. If you have a lot of things in Sagittarius in your chart,
it will point to a part of you that always wants to be in this kind of mythic journey. So especially if you
have sun or moon or your rising sign or the ruler of your ascendant, the planet that rules your
ascendant in Sagittarius, this motif will be really strong for you. Sagittarius is a sign that needs a lot of
freedom because it wants to move out into the great adventure of life and see what's happening.
So it can't feel constrained or hemmed in.
If you have strong Sagittarius placements, you'll note that in yourself.
It's not good if someone is always trying to put limits on you or if you find yourself in a
situation that feels overly restrictive.
Sagittarius will always bulk at restrictions and move in the
opposite direction or defy those boundaries completely. The interesting thing about Sagittarius at this
moment is that Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, just moved in to Ares. Another fire sign that is
known for its courage and bravado and need to be independent and to also lead to go head first into life.
And this gives color to this full moon. So not only is the full moon in a fire sign,
But the planet that rules this full moon is also in a fire sign.
So now we have a mixture of grand adventures and big courage.
Both the full moon in Sagittarius and Jupiter and Ares are designed to take action.
Is it well thought out action?
Not necessarily.
Is it somewhat impulsive?
Yeah, totally.
But is it bound to get us somewhere exciting?
And is the adventure most likely going to be worth the price of admission?
for sure. Another thing to note is that in 2020 and 2021, we were having eclipses in Sagittarius. So this is
the first moon in Sagittarius that is not an eclipse. That means that there's most likely been a lot
of change that happened throughout the pandemic in the part of your chart that contains Sagittarius.
And now you just get to have a kind of like normal full moon there that is not full of power surges.
major upheavals, but is also commenting on the changes that occurred in this part of your life.
We go through that in detail in your reading for the week in the Chani app, in the workshop section of
the app. This full moon is also sex style Saturn, which is really helpful for stabilizing and grounding
some of this exciting energy and making use of it in some way, shape, or form. And the full moon
will then move on to make a square to Neptune, which is anything but grounded and actually engenders
more of a feeling of wanting to escape and get out of dodge and have a big, dreamy adventure.
So it depends on how you work with this.
Full Moon could be either stabilizing or lead to some sort of greater escape or maybe a mix of both.
And actually the week does really have a mix of both.
A lot of planets this week are making aspects both to Saturn and Neptune.
So it feels like we're constantly navigating limits and boundaries and restrictions and also our
responsibilities and our need to escape and imagine and fantasize and dream.
So there's definitely a call for both of those experiences this week.
Other themes of note if you want to focus on more than just the full moon is that on Monday,
the 13th, Mercury moves back into Gemini. It's really good for communications. This is really good for sales.
It's really good for marketing. It's really good for getting our messages back out. Mercury is still in
its post-retrograde shadow, but it is putting the pieces back together and it is superpowered in Gemini.
So it should feel like a flurry of communications come back into our lives. Again, the full moon is on Tuesday,
the 14th at 4.52 a.m. Pacific time. On Wednesday the 15th, Mars makes a conjunction with
Chiron and Ares. And this is a call to action to address a wound or to take care of something
that hurts. On Thursday the 16th, the sun moves through a trine to Saturn. Again, stabilizing. It's
about responsibility. It's about structure. It's really productive. And then it quickly moves to a
with Neptune, which feels totally derailing and it feels like, okay, I did my work and now I'm out of
office early. So that might be a desire that you come up against on Thursday or even Friday.
Also on Thursday, Venus makes a conjunction with the North Node. This is a point where eclipses
happen. And so it might tie in some message or some theme from eclipse season that happened
at the end of April and into the beginning of May.
Now, Venus is a planet of pleasure and delights,
and in Taurus it wants sensual pleasures.
And so having that theme, that archetype increased by the North Node
could make us all very hungry for things that we love and that delight us.
Venus then on Saturday, the 18th, moves into a square to Saturn and then a sex style to Neptune.
So again, it's like a reality check comes.
We can't just have only pleasure.
There's also consequences and work attached to it.
But then again, Venus moves into a sex style with Neptune.
And we're back to focusing on the dream.
And it's also actually quite romantic and charming and, again, delightful.
The week is a mix of structure, responsibility, precision, and mess.
dissipation and getting lost, but maybe getting lost on purpose. There's nothing that a Sagittarius
full moon loves more than helping us get lost and come into an experience that we had no idea was
awaiting us and to have that kind of spontaneous and adventurous spirit move through our week.
If there's one guiding affirmation that you want to take with you into this week, it is
one that affirms that everything is going to work out for the best. Experiment with assuming that life
is on your side and then act from that conviction. All right, y'all, that is the reading for the
week. Before we go, I just want to thank everyone who has left us a review in the app store. And I wanted to
share one of the latest reviews with you by Len Nally. It is titled My Most U.S.
used app. There are so many levels to the Chani app. Into astrology, learn about your chart and
specific placements. Want to hear about the week's planetary activity? There's a general and personal
reading. Even if you don't enjoy the woo-woo parts, Chani is very encouraging and will always lift you
up. Worth the price of admission alone is the meditation section. This app is the only reason
I've been able to start a mindfulness habit.
There's something about Chani's voice.
It's very calming.
It feels like a friend is there with you.
I have ADHD and it's always been hard to keep my mind from wandering off.
But these sessions do a great job of keeping me engaged.
Again, thanks for leaving those comments.
We read all of them and we actually share them at the end of the week with each other
and they really help to lift our spirits and they make the work all the more meaningful.
Sending you all lots of full moon blessings, lots of love, take care of yourselves and each other.
It is a full moon week, which means it might be a little extra on all the levels.
Bye for now.
