This is the Astrology of the Week Ahead podcast. I'm your host, your Astro Bestie, Channie Nicholas. in this episode, we are talking about the very magical week of June 8th. And I want us to make the most of it. But first, I want us to be in the right frame of mind. Every gorgeous astrological configuration

has its own very unique qualities. The gorgeous astrological configuration that is happening this week occurs exactly on June 9th, but I want us understand two things. One is that June 8th and June 10th are very, very good days that are imbued with this really beautiful signature that's exact on June 9th. Now, the qualities of the thing that is happening on June 9th are all about connection. They're all about being in relationship with what is local to us. It's all about power via understanding the influence we have immediately, like with our families, with our neighbors, with our neighborhoods, within our local environment. There is power and there is a force of connective fortune that is so potent and rare. The thing that's happening this week only happens or

only can happen once every 12 years. And it is about to go away. It's not going to happen again for at least another 12 years. And it's also fading as we move into June. And the thing that I'm talking about is Venus and Jupiter meeting up in the sign of Jupiter's exaltation cancer. Now, I've been talking about this for the last few weeks because I want us to work with it. And here we are. If you're listening to this on the Chani app, you're probably listening to this on Sunday, at least I hope. If you're listening to this on YouTube's or wherever else you get your podcast, you might be listening to this on Monday. And it's all good. We still have time to work with this. But I want you to know the properties that we're

working with, right? We have to know the ingredients. This is the thing. Magic is like making a soup. I can't make carrot soup if I don't have carrots. I have to understand the ingredients that I have. And then I can make something delicious and warming and wonderful and fragrant and enticing and delicious and nourishing out of what I have, but I have to know what's available to me. So what is available to us at the very onset of the week, and it hangs out until about Friday, is this combination of relationship luck, sweetness, beauty, union, justice, I hope, I hope, I hope. and some kind of rebalancing that, that's Venus, with Jupiter.

Jupiter is wisdom, it's fortune, its expansion, it's relaxation, it's opening. Both planets are about expansion and openness or relaxation. We could say Venus is very much about the opulence of life, and that helps us feel expansive or relaxed or open to the beauty of things. And Jupiter is about knowledge and wisdom and being able to feel a sense of spiritual or philosophical expansion, which is also relaxing. We're not confined into these little silos of doom and gloom and doom scrolling. Jupiter helps lift us out of that. And it's like, you have this whole horizon. Go forth and explore. And so these two planets coming together is gorgeous. But

The fact that they're coming together in cancer is super important because cancer is where Jupiter has its superpowers. And cancer is a sign that is about nourishment, nurturing, giving, caring, neighboring, heerness. I've been talking a lot about this. I just, I keep saying that because I don't want the people that have been listening religiously to get too bored of me. But I, this is the last time I'm going to say it. This is, this is, we're done now for 12 years. So I don't know where we'll be in 12 years, but you won't hear me talk like this again for about that amount of time. Maybe one more time before Jupiter goes out of cancer. But the two of these coming together in this sign is a mark of good luck when you double down on and you invest

in your local environment. The ingredients are right here. That's what this sign is saying. That's what this astrology is saying. The ingredients for good fortune, good luck, and a good life is right here. You don't have to go anywhere. Here, right here is where we are going to do magic. With you and me and them and all of us, this is all we need. It's right here. I promise you, wherever you are, that is where the magical ingredients are that you are going to work with. You don't have to go anywhere else. It's right at your fingertips. So I want you to look immediately what is right around you. How can you build right around you?

It doesn't have to be for forever. But this is the next stitch in the great tapestry of your unfolding. It's just right here. And then from there, you do the next thing. And then the next thing. And then the next thing. So Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, even Sunday, if you're listening to this on Sunday. But definitely Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, I want you to plant.

seeds of sweetness and of generativity and of nourishment and nurturing in your local life, whatever that means for you. And I want you to know that whatever you do in this time frame is going to be imbued with the best astrology we've got this year. So you can send out a newsletter. You can launch a company. You can get married. You can go out for a a date with your new bestie, platonic date. You can go out for a romantic date with somebody that you just met. You can do anything. Anything you do is imbued with these really good qualities. So spend it wisely. You know what I'm saying? Don't go out with that person that you know we'll just talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk about themselves all night. Don't waste this on

them. No. Be in places and spaces that you know have reciprocity. that are going to give you nourishment, that are going to let you and allow you to nourish them, where there's going to be a give and take. This is happening in cancer. Cancer is the waters of life. It is the exchange of all things that are life giving, all the fluids, you know what I mean? It is about being in that kind of symbiotic relationship. So we want to go where we know we're going to get our needs met and where we can also supply others with protection and sweetness and love and generosity and all of that. So anything you do doesn't have to be big. It can be very small. Any seed you want to plant with this astrology is imbued with this

kind of sweetness. I will say on Tuesday like the day that it's the exact conjunction, the moon is in a little bit of a tricky spot. That's why I say Monday is really good because the moon's in a better spot. And by Wednesday, it's a little bit past the exact conjunction, but the moon is doing a little bit better. At least it's out of the trickiest spot on Tuesday. This is a deal with 2026's astrology. It's like, oh, the best things are also kind of curbed and curtailed by Saturn and Aries. Because Saturn is an Ares. It gets up before Jupiter and Cancer, so it rises up in the sky. And on Tuesday, the moon is entangled with Saturn pretty much all day. And so it's not until the beginning part of Wednesday that the moon starts to get some space away from Saturn. So if you have

the ability to choose what day you're going to do something on, I will say that Monday has that little bit of extra help. But if you are going to do something on Tuesday, great. It's still got the Venus-Jupiter conjunction. It's like hard to get better astrology in the next couple of years to to be honest. This is like really, really good. And it's good for gestation. You know, like we're not looking for proof of concept on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday. We're just looking to make an offering that we know is going to be imbued with these qualities of auspiciousness. And that is the best that we can do. There are times that will reveal the potential and the purpose. and the reality of something. This is not one of those times necessarily. Jupiter has been in cancer

for almost a year. So it is revealing, you know, like what it has done for you lately. Not that we're looking to Jupiter to do things for us, but we get to see some of the results of what Jupiter and cancer has brought us, some of the hydration, some of the opening, some of the expansion that's happened. And but also Venus and Jupiter coming together is like, the kiss of a new cycle, right? It's the beginning of something else. So at the end of this beautiful transit that's been complicated, again, astrologically by Saturn and in the real world by fascism, at the end of this beautiful transit, we have this little coming together right at the closing door of Jupiter and Cancer, and then we're going to move into some very different

territory. So again, just remember, the power of the local is everything. Is everything, everything, everything. And of course, I know that there are primaries happening. If you're listening to this in the United States, there are primaries happening in many states this week, I think everywhere this week. So we want to use this or at least this month, right? So this is a time where we want to really think about the power of who is representing us and that wherever you are, we don't canvas for,

the representation that we want and then give up, we canvass, we organize, we get hopefully people that feel like friends in positions of leadership. And then we negotiate with them. Then we work with them while they are in those positions. And then we do it again the next time somebody else has to be elected. It is a lifelong endeavor. There is no putting someone in a position of power and then walking away. Everything is a relationship. Everything is an ongoing relationship. And the sooner we kind of see life like that and realize that that really is the name of the game here, the deeper we're entrenched and involved in being community members, the better our communities will be. The more our communities will be resourced, or at least the better

chance our communities have of being resourced because we know nobody's coming to save us. And that is a mark of this astrological signature. It's saying, look, it's you and me. That's where the power is. Like, yes, obviously the oligarchs have all the money. But you and I have power. And the more we connect to one another, the more we get to be fully entrenched in that reality. I'm not telling you anything you don't know, I'm just telling you that this is the week to really double down on that reality and do what you can, offer what you can, put forth what you can to say, I'm here as part of a generative, supportive, protective ecosystem so that our humanity can thrive and resist all the tyranny. Also, on Tuesday, Mercury makes a square to Saturn, which is good for helping us to

cut things down to size and be like, okay, all these possibilities is great. And then also let's be critically minded and thinking about the reality of this and how this is actually going to work. So Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, I want you to really pay attention to the people you are surrounded by. This is a gorgeous moment for Venus as well as for Jupiter. So see about the relationships that come into your life or the relationships that get fed or strengthened or nourished or like reinforced who is coming back around, who is showing up, who are you partnering with in ways that feels like it's really got a lot of potential and what can you do at the beginning of the week to be like, yes, let's do this thing. Or I love working with you. This has been so wonderful

for me and this is why it's been working. And with that Mercury Square Saturn, it's also like, and this is what hasn't been working and this is what we can do to, you know, fix it or what do you think we can do as a workaround for this. And then on Friday, there's a very different tone, which is unhinged. Uranus is going to square the nodes. And so it does feel like there's some sort of announcement or advancement or some important decision that's related to tech, that's related to communications, that's related to our phones, how they're spying on us, all of the ways in which tech and tech companies have just fully entrenched themselves and advanced into our life in ways that are ever more infuriating and also concerning. So I will be watching headlines for that.

And also, there might be a pivotal kind of surprise moment that happens for you personally. And then on Saturday, Venus leaves cancer says goodbye to Jupiter and moves into Leo. And here, you know, Venus is very showy, very flirty, very performative, very abundant with its need for spotlight and for its excellent hair and big bravado. So it's fun. It's going to be very entertaining. But here we see Venus and Jupiter separating out. And then on Sunday, we have a new moon in Gemini. And this is the first new moon that we have. had since Uranus moved in to this sign. Again, very different tone than what we were talking about at the beginning of this episode. The New Moon and Gemini is our invitation to look at our lives

and say what needs to be reordered. What needs a systems update? What needs to be reconfigured? what is old, outdated, and no longer working for me or my life or my goals or my family or my communities or any of it. This is an invitation to be like, okay, it's time for something new in my communications, in the ways in which I'm thinking about things, in the paradigms that I live in, the world is changing rapidly. Am I acknowledging? that, am I also able to reorder my allegiances? Who do I have allegiances to and why? Like, why do I follow that person on Instagram? Every time I see their post, they make me really angry. Or why am I so entrenched in this network? They don't have the same kinds of hopes and dreams for the future that I do.

or why am I so invested in this person, place, or thing when they actually don't align with what I hold to be true and dear and near to my heart? What is the reordering that is happening in your own personal world? I say that in part because Uranus and Gemini is about a new world order. So if that is true externally, it's also true internally. And you know what I'm talking about for you when I say that. When I say that, what comes to mind? What are you like, oh, yeah? I am in the process of reconfiguring what I make a priority and what I need to deprioritize. And that's just natural. That is good. That is healthy. That's a positive way to go about our life. You and I, and everyone we know are not supposed to be the same forever and ever and ever and ever. Our lives are not supposed to be structured the same way all the time. This is your call to do a systems update so that your priorities get your attention. Now let's get a question from our audience.

Thank you so much for sending those in. Hey, Channie. I've been a fan of the app and I love the podcast for so long. Okay, I have a question. With AI being literally everywhere, some of my friends have dropped their charts into chat GPT, and they've asked questions like how Mercury retrograde or how different transits will affect them. How do you feel about this? Do you think AI can accurately predict astrology?

Well, how do I feel about it? Oh, how do I feel about it? Obviously, no one's following me on threads. there I rail against the machine literally night and day. I loathe AI. I hate AI. I think AI is quite possibly going to be the downfall of our civilization. I run a tech company that has no AI in it. I have an astrology app that is fully, completely, totally created by human beings. We have human beings that code it. We have human beings that write every single word in every single part of the app and on our website. We have human beings, me, that do these recordings, human beings that edit, human beings

that do everything. We believe in human beings. We do not think that machines can tell you about your soul's purpose, which is the art and the exquisiteness of what astrology is. and also, as we know, AI robs, steals all of our work. So if AI is going to tell you something about astrology that is legitimate, it's because they've ripped it off from us, the humans that have painstakingly took time to understand what this ancient system is and is not and how to work with it and how to use it.

not only that, but AI is an environmental catastrophe and crisis of epic proportions. It disproportionately impacts black and brown and impoverished, intentionally impoverished communities the world over. Data centers are a nightmare, a devastation, not just a nightmare, a devastation, water pollution, Water theft, energy crisis, light pollution, sound pollution, you name it. So even if it didn't make our brains smooth, which it does, AI is proven to make us dumber, even if it didn't do things like encourage people to do horrific things to themselves and their communities, which it does, even if AI didn't have hallucinations, which it does all the time. So if you put your data into the machine, Ae of all, you're giving it data. So I think that that's not good.

Because ultimately, I think AI is a cop. I think it is a tool of the military, industrial complex that is coming for all of us in such gruesome and horrific ways we could never imagine. But even then, even if that wasn't true, you're giving it your details and data and you're telling it what you're interested in and any kind of information that it has about any one of us, I think, is too much information. But it will hallucinate and give you wrong information that it stole from me and all my colleagues and all my friends and my teachers and my mentors and all the textbooks that it gets its little greedy paws on, steals all the. that from all of us, humans, and then everyone's in a while just fully hallucinates and tells you

the exact wrong thing. Now, I want to say that I understand wanting to use it, obviously. That's the whole point of it, is that it is so alluring that this machine could just give me the answers that I need super quickly and I wouldn't have to do any of the research myself. I get it. And I get not having the money to pay an astrologer fully. That's partly why I do these Q&As. I want to answer your questions. And also, I want you to know the information that you need is out there. The information that you need has been created by an astrologer, a human being somewhere. And if you can search for things on AI, you can search for the exact same answers that will be given to you by a human. Because when you search AI, it'll just lead you to my website or another astrologer's website or another astrology

company's website. They're just taking our work anyways. So that's how I feel about it. I feel like it is a death machine. I feel like it is a tool of white supremacy. I think it has been modeled after a white supremacist colonizer kind of thinking process and brain. I think it is disproportionately sexist, racist, xenophobic, et cetera. And I think it is a tool for settler, colonialist, white supremacist, capitalist patriarchy. And that it will take everything it can from all of us, including our water and our land and our life. And I don't think that is worth looking up our astrology chart, even though I understand doing so. It's not your fault. It's not anybody's fault. It's their fault. It's the creators of these machines and monstrous companies that want to,

again, take everything from us, including our lives, just to get fatter and more powerful and have more supremacist like claws entrenched in every aspect of our society. It's their fault. It's not your fault or anybody else's fault for wanting to use it. It's their fault for knowing that that is exactly what they're doing. And so it is our responsibility to fight it every step of the way. That's how I feel about using AI to look up your astrology. That's why also we give, you know, the promo codes every once in a while for a month free on the app so you can learn all this stuff and hopefully have it as a free resource every once in a while. And then, you know, learn what you can from the podcast and from our free horoscopes that are online and on our app and

all the other things that we do. I'm, you know, on social media. I'll answer your questions there as well. I want you to have these tools and we can use them ethically. We don't have to go to a robot to get it. We can rely on each other. We can give each other the information. There's so many incredible astrologers out there. Just go on threads. Go on blue sky. Go anywhere where there's a lot of astrologers and thinking and writing and Reddit, I'm sure. I mean, I don't know. I don't know all the places, but they're out there. We're out there. We're out there. We're out there and there, again, are so many incredibly learned, studied, beautiful, articulate, wise astrologers out there that really do take this craft and this art form incredibly seriously.

And when you want to study it and learn about it, person to person, you know, even online, you're going to get that transmission from the person. This is an ancient art that is about initiation. and you can only get an initiation from a person, right? We can only be initiated into this art form truly human to human, maybe spirit to human, but that's a different story. That's a different podcast. It's a different episode.

But it's not going to be through a robot. And again, they're just stealing our work anyways. Okay, that's my very long-winded way of saying, trust the humans on this one. Go to the humans for this one. I promise you. You won't be, you'll get it. You'll get the info you need. Ask, you know, go on social media and be like, hey, any astrology girlies out there know the answer to this? Someone will tell you. I mean, there's so many people who know so much now.
