The task is to stay disciplined amidst the chaos. The job this week is to stay on track as much as we are able to,
no matter what kind of deluge we face. The job of all of us right now is to find out what the next
action we need to take is and then to do it.
and not to doubt it, just to trust the actions that we know are the next in line.
Hello and welcome.
This is the astrology of the week ahead podcast.
I'm your host, your Astro Bestie Chani, Nicholas.
In this episode, we are talking about the week of March 23rd and the astrology therein.
I am recording this a couple of weeks before it airs.
So I'm close enough to know what's happening a little bit, but I'm also far enough away to not know enough, which I'm actually realizing I'm a lot more comfortable recording these way in the past because then I don't have the pressure of having to comment on exactly what's happening because there's so much happening all the time that sometimes to have to try to boil it all down into something that makes sense.
at least contextually, at least astrologically, is just rough.
So this is what I can say about this week.
On Sunday, the 22nd of March, so you might be listening to this on Sunday, the sun and Neptune
come together in Aries.
And then on Wednesday, the 25th of March, the sun and Saturn come together in Aries.
And that's because we just had the Saturn-Neptune conjunction.
That was February 20th.
So one month ago, we had that conjunction and we said here, lots of people said a lot of different
places, that that conjunction that happens once every 36 years, so it's not normal, it's not
regular, it's not often, that's the word I'm looking for, it's not often that these two planets
come together. They're both really slow moving. They come together. They separate. They do things.
It takes 36 years for them to come back together.
Once those two come together, we know that the order of things on a global scale will shift.
We can be pretty certain that that will be true.
Something about our known reality will, in this case, melt, catch on fire, go up in flames.
There is something that is going to change the structure of how we do things, the structure of the structure of the
world, how the world operates. Something is going to get totally washed away. And something new will
be born out of that. Now, of course, at the end of February, that is when Israel and the United
States started a war in Iran. And I am again recording this a couple of weeks in the past,
but when I'm recording it, that is very much the case.
They're spending a billion dollars a day.
Something horrendous like that, the Epstein files are still absolutely undelt with.
No one has faced any consequences.
No perpetrator has faced any consequences, any real consequences.
Maybe they stepped down.
Maybe they got fired.
That's not a real consequence.
So we still want to make sure that we are paying attention to that as a billion
dollars a day, again, where I'm standing, where the reality that I'm coming from, the time frame
I'm coming from, a billion dollars a day to do this horrific campaign of bombing people and,
etc. I'm not, again, going to go into the details, but you know the deal. So because that war started
a couple of days after the Saturn-Neptune conjunction.
And because the sun is now going to go over, again, Neptune on the 22nd, and then Saturn on
the 25th, we know that something about the nature of what began a month ago is going to be
circled back to now.
It's a month later.
What is the situation?
what are the oligarchs and the malignant narcissists in charge saying, what are the pedophiles saying,
you know, like what is going on with the world order?
How is it all being, is it being reenacted?
Is there something being receded?
Is there something getting reignited?
My hope, my dream, my wish, of course, is that no, is that they all end up in jail and we get to reboot the system entirely.
new system, new world order, care and people and planet come first. But I doubt that's going to
happen in the next two weeks. And I will say that the Sun-Neptune conjunction on the 22nd does
feel kind of messy or a little bit, again, like lighter fluid. It is about a war of ideals.
It is about the ideals that we want to fight for. And we know that because,
Zemies bring out the nature of the planet that is making the conjunction with the sun.
So when we have a Sun-Saturn conjunction like we have this week, we know that our discipline
comes into focus.
We know that when there is a Sun-Saturn conjunction, people that think they are authority figures
that are in positions of authority will be illuminated.
and the denigration to those positions,
like the lack of moral integrity of the people that hold positions of authority,
will be also lit up.
Why do I say that?
Because Saturn is in its fall in Ares.
And so we can bet our bottom dollar that there's something about the corruption of that authority
that gets highlighted.
And again, you know, like in this world right now,
that's on display en masse all of the time. But and also, for us, what gets clarified is our need for
discipline, our need for a personal structure that we can adhere to, our need for being dedicated
to the causes and to the things that we want to be dedicated to. Like, what are we doing
for the long term? What are we in it to win it around? How,
are we committing to our lives, committing to the hard things that we have to do,
committing to the long term, committing to sustained effort, no matter the chaos we are in,
or no matter the deluge that is happening. What are the things that we can specifically do next
to move ourselves forward, to move our collectives forward, to move our communities forward,
and to make a mark.
Because this is the thing.
It's easy to feel like we've lost.
That's easy.
They are counting on us to feel like we have lost.
But nothing has been lost yet.
I mean, a lot has been lost.
We can grieve all of the things on the planet and in our societies and the people that we have lost.
And a lot of the ways in which, you know, certain,
structures were upheld and at least we had some kind of stop gaps in place. We can grieve that.
But we have not lost the whole thing. They want us to believe that we have lost and we haven't.
And so how can we just stay the course and steady ourselves in the situation that we're in,
given the fact that there's always the next thing to do? We can count on that. Like you wake up in the
morning, the next thing to do is you get out of bed, eventually, right? Get out of bed,
brush your teeth, take a shower or work out or get your water or whatever your thing is.
But there's just the next thing to do. And then the next thing, and then the next thing,
and then the next thing. So what gets crystallized and clarified this week is what that next
thing is for us and what we are committing to over at least the next two years. What can you commit to?
committed to for the next two years. And then I want you to go and listen to your reading this week
because it talks about where Saturn is in your chart. And this is where you can make the biggest
difference in your life over the next two years. Why? Because Saturn shows us the shape of things.
Saturn shows us the reality. Saturn shows us what we are working with and how to work with it
to the best of our ability. And when we work with Saturn, we are going to see and feel and know a
difference because Saturn makes things real. So if you go and listen to your reading this week,
I talk all about what you are seating, what is getting clear in your life right now about your
responsibilities, about your work, about how to work, about what to work on, and what to do
your due diligence around. And that's how you can make a difference in your own life this week.
I promise you. This is about delayed gratification. So I do want us to think about what we need to do
this week today, each and every day, that is going to eventually add up to something really
significant, really wonderful, really important, really satisfying. It's not about
doing something and then getting the little tick check, yay. It's not gamified. It is long-termified.
Now, the interesting thing about this Saturn, Kazimi, is that the sun and then Saturn,
but throughout the week, both of them, make a sexile to Pluto newly in Aquarius. So what does
that mean? It means that the commitments that we're making to our long-term success, both personally,
individually and collectively, are going to lead to long-term deep, cathartic transformations.
There's a lot of power that we have access to.
And I think on a collective level, this speaks volumes because no matter the violence
that is permeating many events on the world stage right now, the people power, the power
of the collective that Pluto and Aquarius reminds us of is going to get ignited. Saturn and
Aries and Pluto and Aquarius making a sex style are saying, yes, this is a fight. It is going to
require everything from us. And when we connect being committed to doing the next right thing
with a billion people doing the next right thing, we can move mountains. I'm not saying we're going to get
to that place this week, although I think there might be something in the ethers about that.
Like, what if all of us moved one step to the left? Or a million of us did this one thing,
or three million, or a billion? Then we would feel the collective impact of our next action.
And then, okay, we did that. Now what else can we do?
And I think it's really important to look back on recent wins and to never forget the things
that we actually did accomplish together.
Even if we're not at our end goal, every little accomplishment is so valuable.
It is an entire world of possibility in each accomplishment.
Like if we look at what Minneapolis has been able to do as a collective, as a community,
Did they save every single person from ice? No. Did they lose a lot of people? Yes. Did they save a lot of people? Are they
saving a lot of people? Is the community itself protecting itself and each other? Yes, because of a million
different actions that a group collectives, collectives of people are doing, have been doing.
Try doing. And so can we kind of like bring a lot of.
ourselves into that framework, into that way of seeing and being and understanding that it's not
about our own individual action. It's about us individually taking action in unison.
That's what makes the difference. We are fed these lies of heroes coming to save us. We know that no one
is coming to save us, but that we can save ourselves and each other. In fact, that's the only
that was ever possible anyways. So we're just getting down to the truth of the matter.
Okay. So that is one of the vibes of the week. I do think we're going to get connected to some
sort of individual times, individual times a million collective power. What if we are all taking
actions towards the same end goal, towards liberation, towards collective well-being? And I know I say that
every week. I do. I say it every week no matter the astrology. I am fully aware of it because I think
it bears repeating all the time, especially in these times. I will say that on the 26th, Venus and
Chiron will come together. Now, this is detailing some kind of a wound in relationships. A wound
in terms of some kind of figure, maybe a woman, a queer person, a femme person. There could be something
that happens at the end of the week where we see a woman take the fall for the patriarchy,
or we see something about victims, something about survivors, something about gender-based
violence come to the fore. Because Venus represents women, femmes, queer folks. And Chiron is a
wound. It is something that hurts and it is something that says, this is where the problem is. This is what
the medicine is, and this is how you need to administer it. Now, Venus is at the end of Ares,
and actually next week, Venus is going to move into Taurus, which is so nice. It is so grounding.
It is so nourishing. It is so much about sustenance. Right now, Venus is at the end of a sign.
It has a really hard time in. So it bumping into Chiron here is saying, this is what we need to learn.
This is what we need to teach. And this is how we need to.
to blaze a new trail. And Chiron is an incredible teacher. So I'm really wondering about our
queer elders, our elders that are women, how are we learning from folks that have gone before us?
How are we learning from people that have blazed a trail completely on their own, did not give
AF about what anybody thought or did or knew about them? They just lived their life.
in the style that they wanted to. There's a lot of healing in that. And I think that this astrology
is speaking to that in some way, shape, or form. Venus and Ares is about nonconformity. Nonconformity
through style, nonconformity through the ways in which we express our gender, nonconformity in
terms of the ways in which we self-expressed, the ways in which we create. So what are we learning this week?
who is teaching us this week about the power of refusing to conform, about the power of
creating in the ways that you truly want to create or someone actually risks creating.
Like, what are we risking in our creative lives?
What are we risking in our relationships?
What are we risking in our self-expression to be who we truly are?
to be absolutely unowned, unbossed, untamed, and wild.
There's something healing in that archetype this week.
And so I think it is an invitation to all of us that amidst all of the things that we are going through right now,
amidst the backdrop of so much horror, how can we reconnect with that part of ourselves that
refuses to be dishonest to ourselves, refuses to conform, and refuses to betray ourselves.
So I think Venus in Ares, making a conjunction of Chiron, is telling us that there's medicine
when we refuse to conform. There's medicine when we refuse to people, please. And there's a lot
of medicine and a lot of healing when we allow ourselves just to be completely and totally true
to who we are. Now it's time for a question from the audience. Thank you so much for recording
these and sending them in. Hi, Chani. This is one of your fans for a long time. Thank you for being
an astrologer who can say fascism and free Palestine. I'm calling in. I'm a Scorpio Rising.
Hi. And I've got a lot of business in my second house of work and finances this week. And it's been
confusing for me because I'm also a stay-at-home parent. And I'm wondering how you look at houses
for people whose work and home life and children all converge. So looking at so many houses and how to
distinguish what's going on when something's happening in a specific house that I might be confused about.
Yeah. Love this question. If you listen to your readings, your weekly readings on the Chani app,
you're going to be sick of me saying this. But what I try to do, what I actually always do,
I don't think I do one reading without doing it. If there's something happening in your second house
of money, assets, or resources, or your sixth house of work, or your 10th house of career,
you will always hear me do this. This is happening in your second house of money, assets, resources.
and livelihood if you have a job.
If you don't have a job, I want you to think about your relationship with money,
your relationship with the material world.
All of us have to deal with money, whether we work or not, because we live in capitalism.
Even if we didn't live in capitalism, the second house is literally your stuff.
It's this chair I'm sitting on.
It's these lights.
It's this microphone.
Like, this is my second house.
My second house is all my stuff.
But it's also what's in my wallet, what's in my bank account, my relationship.
with money, whether I work or not. We all have to have a relationship with money. So anything going on
in your second house, if you do not work for a living or if you're in between jobs, if you're
retired, just think about your financial life and always in your weekly readings, always, always,
always. And also always in your horoscopes, we really try to write in a way that's like
understanding that everyone's got a very different life in a very different situation. And there's
times where we're doing this and times where we're doing that. If something's happening in your
sixth house of work, you'll always hear me say in your readings, think about domestic chores,
think about your labor. It's not just the work we get paid for. Actually, the sixth house quite often is
the work that we don't get paid for or the work that we don't get paid fairly for. And it's also a
place where you can think of volunteer work or being of service. The sixth house is a really good
area of life, if there's stuff going on in your sixth house, it's really good to be like,
okay, I can channel this energy through doing acts of service through doing something that isn't
about me, through doing something that is about being of service or of benefit to other people,
animals, the earth, whatever you want to lend your energy and your talent and your expertise
towards in the world to make it a better place. But it's a selfless kind of place. So if you do have a job,
you might notice that like both your domestic life and your job job gets overwhelming,
say if you've got a mercury retrograde happening through your sixth house or a full moon
in your sixth house or stuff going on that's like major.
10th house if you don't have a career, think of your 10th house,
which you'll always hear me say in the readings, is also just your public life.
It's like what you're known for.
Like once I walk out my door, that's my 10th house.
I'm out in the street.
I mean, you know, it's my third house too because it's my local environment.
But anything you know about me isn't because you know me.
It's because you know something about me because of what I put out into the world.
It doesn't have to be necessarily like my literal work.
And quite often, the 10th House will show you the result of whatever effort you've put in
to showing up in the world.
Again, whether or not that's about capital, whether that's about profession,
whether or not that's about money, it doesn't really matter.
And because we live in capitalism, most of us have to, you know, work or we have something to do with an industry or, you know, career such a heavy focus in this world.
And because we live in capitalism, we're told that the basis of our self-esteem is from our contributions to the world in a capitalistic kind of way, right?
So we can boil it all down to say, second house is what you own, what owns you.
You know, we do live in that kind of a situation too, but also just your relationship to money
and stuff.
If you have a job, it's also your livelihood.
This sixth house is about your domestic life, your domestic chores, pets, doing the dishes,
vacuuming.
You'll hear me talk about that a lot, picking up kids, you know, doing the things, volunteer work.
If you have a job, it's also like the part of your job that is a slog.
You know, like the part of your job is like, well, I have to do this.
in order to get to all the other stuff.
And I might not always want to do this part because this part is like the work work.
It's like the mechanics of things.
So the sixth house is about how we show up and be of service to either our profession or
our fellow human beings or animals or the earth itself.
What do we give back in a way?
How can we be selfless?
And also, if you've got a lot of placements in the sixth house, I've often seen that it's a
a situation where people might work on behalf of those that are fighting for workers' rights
or you're fighting for workers' rights because it's also about that.
It's about being taken advantage of also for your labor.
There's a history.
There, we could say.
So, you know, the houses are like multifaceted.
10th house, think of it.
If you have a career, great.
Think of it as your career.
But it's also your public life.
It's what I know about you when you're outside.
It's basically that, right?
It's like, what does the accumulation of your life events kind of add up to?
Again, because we live in capitalism, so much of that is lived out through the profession,
but it doesn't have to be.
It could be your vocation.
It might have nothing to do with money, but the thing that you really care about and that you
offer the world because you want to offer that to the world, not because of money.
And also it's okay, you know, if it's also about money,
It's okay. So 10th house profession, public life, reputation, your worldly roles, your vocation.
Second house, what you own, what owns you, your relationship to money and stuff and livelihood if you
have a job. Sixth house, the work of your life, the labor of your life, the effort you've got to
put in, the chores, the animals, the kids, the whatever, the rigmarole of daily life.
And if you have a job, it's like your work. It's the working part of your life. It's the working part of
job. It's not necessarily the glory. But there's a lot of glory in the work, right? Sorry, I'm always
going to say that. But I hope that's helpful. So always think of these things as like,
okay, I do have a job. I don't have a job. What does this actually mean? Oh, money or stuff or
my relationship to the material realm. You'll also hear me say that a lot as well. Okay, I hope that
helps. Let me know. All right, y'all. I'm sending you so much love, so many blessings. Look,
Next week, we do have Venus and Taurus. So we are getting an upgrade. And we've got a tiny bit of a
break before the next moment of turbulence. So come back. We're going to talk about how to work with it,
how to use it, how to relax into it. I'm sending you so much love, so many blessings.
Go listen to your reading this week. Go listen to where Saturn and Aries is asking you.
you to commit. Go listen to what Saturn in areas is asking you to commit to long term for the long
haul and in a way that's going to bring you a tremendous amount of deep and abiding satisfaction.
Bye for now.
