Three things about this week.
Number one, we are going to want to pursue justice, and we are going to want to balance the scales
of our life.
Number two, we are going to be deep in our relationship issues.
And number three, we're going to be deep in our feelings.
And maybe all of those things are the same, but here we are.
Hello and welcome.
This is the astrology of the week ahead podcast.
I'm your host, your Astro Besti, Chani, Nicholas.
In this episode, we are talking about the week of March 30th,
aka the week that has the full moon in Libra.
This is the full moon that happens after the equinox.
This is a very special time for many peoples around the world.
Why?
Because the full moon that happens after the equinox in the spring,
the Vernal Equinox, gives us Passover, and then the Sunday following it gives us Easter.
Now, I am not like a monotheistic girly, but what I do know is that this week will bring up
a lot of feelings for a lot of us. It'll bring up feelings of nostalgia. It'll bring up feelings of
loss and longing. It will bring up feelings of being imbalance and being out of balance with our
past, with our family, with traditions, with our origins, with where we've been and where we're
going. And there is nothing, zero things wrong with grieving, what we've never had,
what we still don't have, what we feel like we've failed to
create or anything that feels like a loss. I'm saying this because, of course, we have Passover,
we have Easter this week. And that's going to make a lot of us, not all of us, if these are
not holidays that you've ever celebrated or you have nothing to do with them. They have nothing
to do with you. You don't know her. Fine. But for a lot of people, it's going to be that
memory, right? This is the time of year where we will have a body memory.
about our relationship to this time period. Think of it. This is the time where the light changes
where in the northern hemisphere we are growing in light, right? So our body knows this time of year
is like, ooh, there's something building. It's anticipation. It's exciting. And then the full moon
after the equinox comes. So it's light building during the day. And then it's also light
building during the night. So it's really hyper. There's a lot of activity. There's just a lot of
light everywhere. Light in the daytime, light at night. That's not a lot of rest. So there's a lot
getting stirred up, both in our nocturnal lives and in our diurnal lives, awake and asleep. There's a lot
of motion happening. There's a lot emerging. And when you tie those together with
themes of, you know, religious holidays, family celebrations, again, only for some people.
But there's that feeling of like, oh, there's a lot being stirred up right now.
Now, for some of you, you're not going to want to go home and be in a family celebration,
or you are going to want to, you're not going to be able to, or you're going to be missing
people that are no longer here.
Every Passover, I will walk into a grocery store.
I'm going to cry now.
And I'll cry when I see Mata because I miss my elders.
Like I miss my people.
They're no longer here.
And as complicated as those relationships were, I will miss the f*** out of them right now.
They're not at my Seder.
They're never going to be again.
And they will always be at my Seder.
They will always be at my table because I am a living embodiment of everything that everyone that came
before me gave me. And so we're at that kind of like, again, not everybody, but a lot of us are
going to be feeling that cross-section of what has come before. What is my place in this ceremony
of my family lineage? And where are we going? There's that level of it. And then there's the
level of it where it's like, oh, again, there's just like a lot going on. There's a lot of stimulation.
there's a lot of light during the daytime. There's a lot of light during the night time.
There is a lot going on in the world, obviously. And of course, these religious holidays will be
used by the sociopaths in charge for, you know, God knows what. We are in the era. We are back in
the era of Neptune and Ares. And so the megalomaniacs in charge love a holy war. They love to
use that kind of jargon. They love to use that kind of feeling of like, you know, trying to,
and they don't even feel it or believe it, but it's something that it's a sentiment that is used
to try to stir up the base or to try to engender some sort of like feeling, again, of nostalgia.
Okay. Have I even mentioned the astrology yet? I don't think so. On Monday, we've got Venus,
the ruler of this full moon, Wednesday's full moon, Venus moving back into Taurus.
Now, this is really lovely because it's really earthy. And planets and earth signs will help to bring
the energy back down, right? We have too much happening in fire. Everything just gets revved up.
Too much happening in air. Everything is changing all of the time. We need some Earth with us right now.
And so Venus is going to spend a very short amount of time in tourists. And for you, this is really good
in the area of your life that correlates with the part of your chart that contains tourists.
So Venus is going to try to bring you bounty and boons and blessings and luck.
So I need you to go listen to your reading this week and listen to what I say about where Venus is
traveling in your chart right now as it travels through tourists because this is going to be
one of the places where it's like, oh, this is good.
Go with it.
Open it up.
Let's go, go, go, go.
Because it's going to also sex tell Jupiter.
Jupiter will be still in cancer, the sign of its exaltation.
So this is going to be a really nice boost for this area of your life, the area of your life
that is symbolized by the area of your chart that contains tourists.
Such a clunky way to say that.
I've got to figure out a better way to say that.
Venus is trying to help you out.
Go figure out in your reading this week.
I will tell you exactly what that blessing is meant to be.
So Venus is the ruler of this full.
moon. This is a big full moon. It's the full moon after the equinox. It's always going to be, again,
a time that stirs up a lot of energy and a lot of emotion, no matter what we celebrate or don't
celebrate or who we come from or what our traditions are. Again, it's the increase of light in the
northern hemisphere. There's just a lot happening. And as soon as Venus enters Taurus on Monday,
it starts to make a square with Pluto, which is why I'm talking about grief and longing and
recalibrating. Because if we don't grieve, if we don't feel fully our grief, if we don't miss
people, if we don't allow ourselves a depth of feeling, we're cutting ourselves off from a depth of
happiness and joy or the heights of ecstasy, right? Like we need one with the other. We need to be
able to experience a broad spectrum of emotions. If we don't grieve the people that we've lost,
then we weren't actually able to love them. If, you know, we love them. Of course, I'm not saying
you should grieve people that you didn't care for. That's complicated. But, you know, there's this
feeling of this week, there's a big celebratory energy to this full moon. It's quite confidence
boosting. There's a lot of good things connected to this full moon or there are good things
connected to this full moon. And then there's this undertow of like longing, grief, getting down to
the core of our relationship, drama and dealings and patterns. And, and, you know, and,
and the ins and outs of what it is we need from one another and what it is we need from ourselves.
I also can't show up in relationship with you if I'm not able to grieve other relationships,
if I'm not able to be in touch with my emotions that come up with you in our relationship.
Like, I feel like a lot of times we're trying to push away from grief.
and I understand why this world is so horrific to really, you know, turn on the news, which means
open your phone, go on social media for more than two seconds, is to witness the things
that should stop the world in its tracks.
We should do nothing but wail and cry for the next.
millennia, the people that are being sacrificed for the greed of a few are mostly children,
women, young folks, civilians, people just trying to live their life, grandparents, elderly
folks, the poor, disabled folks.
Like, this world is so depraved that if we did nothing but feed each child.
other sleep and grieve for however long we needed to, I think we could just like, you know,
shut it all down and do that for a very long time in order to try to reset everything.
It admits people getting consequences and us also dancing and being in joy and celebrating
and all of that kind of stuff.
But never taking, imagine a world where we did not take a.
our awareness off of the things that we need to and are grieving right now, maybe unconsciously,
or maybe there's just like a stockpile of things that we have yet to even be able to grieve.
And so this week brings us some kind of message about that, about how sacred our grief is,
about how our grief has to be a part of how we seek to rebuild the world and how we seek justice.
if I don't grieve the losses. And again, I'm not saying I can do that even fully because it's
just too much and it's ever building. They just keep creating scenarios where we lose more and
more and more and more. So I'm not even saying that, you know, there's a way to do it or that one can do it.
But I am saying that if we really are to build a coalition that is going to be,
resilient and successful and joyful, it has to also be a space where we can grieve. It has to also
be reckoning with what we've lost and not to get stuck there and not to be myopic there,
but to allow it. That is like, imagine that. Imagine a world that grieved, that new grief,
that had a technology that had a ritual for grief. And then we have to just like build that,
build that into our workplaces, build that into our schools, build that into all of the places
that we meet, build it into our malls and our stores. I don't know. Like, you know, we need to have
rituals around that. And so, of course, you know, this week, this weekend, a lot of religious
technologies. Again, I'm not a monothea scurly, but there are some really good technologies that do
happen inside of some religious traditions or parts of the religious traditions.
And again, whether yours are happening this week or not, you might think about the ways in
which you're like, oh, I actually really love that ritual.
I don't love the religion, but I love that part of the ritual.
That actually does help me feel like I've come through a process of grief and grieving
and recognizing it and holding it and being able to feel more human.
in that practice. We also always have a ritual for you in the app. And I hope that the rituals we put in
the app every week are helping you to feel a little bit more human or the journal prompts or the
guided meditations because those are there too. So you can always do like the grief guided
meditation or a meditation that speaks to you in any way, shape, or form because I'm always
including how to hold all parts of ourselves in those meditations.
The full moon is happening on Wednesday.
The full moon is happening on Wednesday.
That is April 1st.
That is a full moon in Libra.
That brings up the conversation.
What is justice?
What is liberty?
What is freedom?
What is balance?
What is equitable?
What does it mean if I have this and they have that or they have all of that and I have none of it?
I have all of it.
You have none of it.
How do we redistribute our wealth, our resources?
are everything so that we could live in a more balanced kind of situation. Who's doing that in your
world? Who's doing like one little piece of that? None of us can do all of it, but who's doing
one little piece of it? How can you get behind them? How can you join them? What organizations
are doing some of that? What maybe even companies are doing some of that? Would people in your
neighborhood know how to do that? And how can you just be like, oh, can I support that? Can I get on
board? Can I be a part of that? This is the time. This is, again, a major energetic reset.
The equinox and then the full moon that happens after the equinox, major energetic reset.
We are beginning again. We are in a new year. This full moon brings forth the kind of height of
that sentiment. Now, the full moon is sitting in a square to Jupiter.
which is a really good cheerleader. It's a really good, like, hype queen for this full moon. And Jupiter's sitting in the moon's signs.
So there's reception here. There's a receiving here. There's like, oh, I see you. Thank you. Thank you. I got it on sale, but I do love it. Thank you. There's that kind of feeling with the full moon. So it does feel like there's a boost of hope here, dare I say it? A boost of confidence. A boost of like, yeah, I can go do that. Or yes, I can get behind that.
or yes, I will get behind that.
Yes, I will take action towards this thing that could bring about some justice or restore
some of our humanity, for example.
This is a really big boost for the part of your chart that contains Libra.
So again, go listen to your reading.
Find out what it is that you've been cultivating over the last six months in this area of your
chart and see how this is being reflected back to you this week.
on Friday we've got the Venus, the Venus square, the Pluto. Venus rules this full moon.
So again, there's this big confidence boost and there's a feeling of celebration here.
And at the same time, there's a need to be able to grieve what we've lost, to be able to hold
the things that bring us down into the body, down into our own personal underworld.
What is the technology? Maybe it's a five-minute meditation. Maybe it's a walk in the park. Maybe it's
playing with your dog or your kitten or your kid. What is the technology that helps you move through
the grief cycle? Not once and for all. Not because you can tie it up in a nice little bow and then
throw it away, put it away, not ever have to deal with it again. But there's a way in which we go
down and we touch down into that place. And we say, yes, this is loss.
This is suffering. This is part of the human condition. I'm not wrong for feeling this. I will lose
everything at the end of this life, including my own. This is part of what I came here to know.
And there's nothing wrong with me for knowing it. What is the technology that helps you to move into
acknowledge and even appreciate the depth of feeling and then move through.
through to the other side, not rushing it, not forcing it. But, you know, there's some of those
rituals or some of those ways of doing things or some like order of things that happen. That's what
Sater means. There's an order of things that brings you through and experience. What are those
technologies for you? Not to rush, not to push, not to do anything, but just to help hold and
witness what it is you've lost, what it is you do grieve. And what are the transformation
that are happening now. Friday feels like that deep cathartic day. And again, I don't know a lot
about Christianity, but I do think that this weekend, theologically, is about death and rebirth.
And so you've got the planet Venus that rules this full moon that's having this big moment
up against the planet of death and rebirth, making a square to Pluto. So this is a very on-brand
little moment of astrology. And also in French,
Friday, Mercury makes a trine to Jupiter, which helps us to think in big and broad and expansive
ways, which is really helpful. Again, we want to be able to be expansive and deep. We need to do
all of it. And oftentimes we do it all at the same time because that's the human experience too.
It's not linear. It's messy. And that's why it's gorgeous. And then on Sunday, the sun makes
that square to Jupiter. So that vibe is hanging out all week.
there is a confidence boost here. There is a like, okay, things are bouncier. Things are feeling more
open. I'm not saying the world is going to fix itself by this Sunday, but I am saying that there's
something here to feel celebratory about. Again, I don't know about the Christianity, but I think
this is the day that, you know, there's that return, that feeling of return. So it just feels very
on brand. And I'm sorry to all of you because you're probably like, I hate religion. I can't believe
you're talking about it. Again, I'm not a monotheistic girlie. I do love a lot of things about my religion
because I love the wisdom in a lot of the traditions that are a part of it. And I believe wholeheartedly
with my full entire being that Palestine will be free, that matriarchy, land back,
is the only way to do life here on planet Earth.
And, you know, my politics are my politics.
And I can also have appreciation for certain parts of rituals that are really important.
And you can see, like, oh, yeah, that is an important technology that masses of people could be using.
And then, of course, a lot of people have misused it.
And then it's become this whole other thing that had nothing to do with the origins.
You know the deal.
So again, whether or not you do anything this week, religiously, culturally, familially, or not,
the feelings are there. The big, huge burst of feeling is there, midweek, especially when the
full moon happens. But then the depth of feeling is also there. The power of understanding the
full scope of our emotional intelligence is also there on Friday. And then I think Sunday
like the cutest day for brunch. Or, you know, to go celebrate, to do your thing, go find some
eggs, go wear an Easter hat, whatever your deal is. It is a celebratory day. And we can remember and know
that ancestors, eons and eons and eons ago would have also felt like, oh, the sun just started to come back.
The light is increasing and there's a full moon. Like those are two things that just spats.
celebration. We've come through the dark dormancy of winter, and here we are on the other side.
The solar, the lunar, the lunar are both shining. And we must do the same. We must do the same
so that we can forge our path forward to things that feel like, oh, that's a beacon.
That's hopeful. That would make me feel great. That would be so.
good for all of us. Let's move in that direction with our whole being, full chest, whole body.
Now it's time for the Ask Me Anything section of the podcast. Thank you so much for sending in your
questions. They're very helpful for us and I love to hear what you're thinking about it helps
me to understand what I should include in the readings week to week. So all the feedback is really,
really good. Hi, Chani. I'm wondering if it means anything in particular if your sun sign is the same as
your North Node. Thank you so much. Yes, it is so significant if your sun and the North Node are in the same
sign. It's so significant. It means that you were born around an eclipse, most likely. I mean,
you were because when the sun is in a sign, it will have both a new moon. And,
in that sign and a full moon in the opposite sign. And new moons and full moons that happen near
a node are an eclipse if they're within a certain degree of that node. So you want to check,
you can just Google your year of birth and see when the eclipses were that year and see if you
were born close to one. You may have been. But just having your sun and the north node in the same
sign, especially if they're close together, like if they're within three degrees, super important,
I think. But even just having them in the same sign, it means that you have a hunger and you have a
desire for self-expression. Now, it depends on what sign it's in. It depends on what house it's in.
It depends on everything else that's going on in your chart. But you have a little bit to a lot,
again, depending on how close they are together, you have a little of that eclipse energy that you
carry with you in your sun sign, in your sun, which is how you shine. It's like,
this is, this is part of me, right? The sun is a really big factor in our chart because it's
about our life force. And if your life force is by an eclipse point, there's something there
that is eccentric. There's something there that is a little energetically erratic. So you could
have these weird events that happen to you that kind of speed up the events of your life.
Other people might feel you as energetically erratic or you might feel yourself as like,
sometimes I've got tons of energy and then I just fall down.
It's like there could be that instability that factors into your life.
I do find that a lot of people with the sun near, especially the North Node, have that
feeling of being like insatiable.
And because there's not a ton of consistency or there's some inconsistency, I mean, we all
have some inconsistency, and that's not to problematize it at all. But the inconsistency can be
really exciting to the world. You know, like there can be these really wild things that happen
every so often, like not every day, but every so often. There might be these events that kind of like
speed up the nature of your life or have you getting attention in some kind of way. Because remember,
eclipses get our attention. Like, where'd the sun go? What is happening? And you carry,
some of that energy. Again, depending on if there's like an angle nearby, if there's other planets
involved, how close it is, but there's that feeling of things getting ramped up every once in a while.
And I would like you to pay special attention to when there's eclipses in that sign. And if you have
anything in the opposite sign near the south node, because that might tell you a whole other kind of
story. But the north node gives us a feeling of desire and wanting.
and grasping and being hungry.
It's like the hungry, hungry, hungry caterpillar.
Just like wants more and more and more and more.
It is insatiable.
And so we have to know that about ourselves.
We had to be like, okay, well, there's this part of me that's like just insatiable
and it's never going to feel satiated.
And so I can either be whipped around by that feeling or I can be like, okay, that's
just what it is.
But I'm not going to be at its beck and call all the time.
but it will help me get a lot done. It's always a mixed bag and mixed situation.
But definitely check out when eclipses are happening in that sign because you might notice,
like, oh, this is a really important time for me. And eclipses in general, they happen every six
months. You might feel like a little extra uptick of energy and like life events, you know,
really kind of speeding up, but especially when they're in the sign that your sun and your
North Node are in. Thank you so much for that.
question. That was really great. Please, again, let me know what you want to know more about,
and it'll help me to articulate those themes more consistently. We're all learning together.
All right, y'all, that is the week ahead reading for the week. I hope it does give us some sort
of a boost of confidence and energy and dare I say optimism or hope, whichever one
kind of works better for you. But do come back next week. Mars is moving into
Ares. I say that with a little bit of a wince because Mars is going to move into Aries and then it's
going to head towards Neptune, then it's going to collide with Saturn. And we're in another
sticky, tricky point of the year as of next week. So, you know, enjoy whatever benefits come this
week and we'll enjoy whatever benefits come next week. But I want you to know that we cannot
overwhelm ourselves. I mean, aren't we all?
always overwhelmed. But I really want you to start saying no to things. Do not say yes to everything and
then be like, do I actually have time to do that? Don't do it because the third week of April,
April 19th, 20th, 21st is really crunchy. So do not overwhelm your schedules come later, April.
Come back. We'll talk about it next week. All right. Bye for now.
