Episode Date: March 4, 2024Episode 168 In this podcast, New York Times bestselling author and astrologer Chani Nicholas discusses the astrology of the week and what it might mean for us all. The astrology of the week of March... 4th, 2024, begins with invigorating conversations and ends some confusion. On Monday, Mercury (the planet of communication) sextiles Uranus (the planet of disruption), leading us to share innovative ideas. On Friday, Mercury conjoins Neptune (the planet of illusions), adding some nonlinear and imaginative thinking to the mix. On Saturday, Mars (the planet of action) squares Uranus, encouraging some disruptive behaviors — so try not to get swept away. Then, the Sun sextiles Uranus, shaking things up further. By the end of Saturday, Mercury enters Aries, restoring some clarity. On Sunday, there’s a New Moon in Pisces, allowing us to understand — and commit to — a dream. Hello and welcome. This is the astrology of the week ahead podcast. I'm your host, Chani Nicholas.
In this podcast, we look at the astrology of the upcoming week and how it will be landing for all of us collectively.
For a more personalized reading that dives into the ways that this week's astrology will play out for you, download the Chaniap.
Okay, so this week is set up like this. Monday and into
a good amount of the week, we've got great conversations, we've got good ideas, we've got innovative
plans coming through, and then we get to like Thursday and things get lost. We end up not being
able to see the thing through. We lose connection. Is this thing on? Double, triple check everything
because Friday especially is just not the day for logic or clarity or linear thinking.
It's a great day for creative thinking. It's a great day for spending time, imagining what a new kind of reality could be.
It's a great time for getting lost. And but also, on Saturday, we have a very disruptive signature occurring.
And it's going to start to build. We're going to feel it or we're going to be seeing it before Saturday.
So I just want to say that these two things dovetail. We've got a lack of clarity and a disruption happening at the end of the week together.
And one of them is fine, maybe, but both of them together seems like a little bit of a red flag to me.
As always, this might not fall in your individual life.
So don't sweat it.
Just take note of it.
I won't expect much to go as promised or as planned over the course of this weekend.
That doesn't mean that things won't go well.
It's just that most likely my preconceived notions about a thing are going to be wrong.
including this astrology. You know what I mean? Like it's the unexpected, the interrupted,
the bumpy, the turbulent. But if you have something that you're doing this weekend that you want
attention for, and I don't mean you personally, but maybe, but if there's something that you're
doing that is innovative, that is supposed to be apart from the norm, that is supposed to shake things up
and wake people up, then this astrology could be describing your weekend. That's the thing with
astrology. Sometimes it is descriptive. Sometimes it is prescriptive. Or we could say we can use it for both
things. Is this astrology describing what's happening? If so, then this could be something that
occurs around you or in the world stage. And we can be like, wow, there goes another disruptive thing.
possibly, or the disruptive types of characters that are already in the public could just be
like ratcheting up their thing. And if we're looking at it prescriptively, if we're like,
okay, this is a weekend to not take unnecessary risks. Like, this is not a weekend to be a daredevil,
but this could be a weekend to get loud about something that is important to me. This could be a
weekend to be bold and to not look to the system or the systems we live within for the solution.
This is a weekend to make sure that I remember not to look to the thing that caused the problem
in the first place for the answer. This is a weekend to depart from what is traditionally
done. So don't expect things to go as possible.
planned this weekend. Do things that are disruptive in a generative way. Make sure that you have
all of your passports and tickets and money and all the things correct. When you get lost,
try to enjoy yourself and see if the disruption to the schedule is actually giving you an
opportunity to experience something better than the thing that you were planning. As Saturday
rolls out, the clarity comes back. Mercury moves in to Ares. It moves away from Neptune a little bit,
enough to have a different sense of things, enough to get the details more in order.
And then on Sunday, there's a new moon in Pisces. And that new moon is happening right in between
Neptune and Saturn. And so it's talking about what we do, how we can manifest a dream to initiate
something. We talked about that last week with the Mercury and Saturn and Sun Kazimi. Go listen to
that podcast. If you're listening to this on the app, you can listen to old podcasts on YouTube
or wherever you get your podcast. That's where you can watch it, but you can listen to it.
other places, obviously, Spotify, etc.
The new moon occurs at 1 a.m. Pacific time on Sunday the 10th.
So we can think about the weekend being yes, a little confusing at the very beginning,
definitely disruptive, possibly innovative, possibly spurring us into a very unconventional
for us action, but a necessary one.
And then we can think of Sunday as.
a time to recommit, get, again, clear on a dream or a goal and also clear about what that is
going to take from us and what it is we want to commit to. But it is a beautiful time to seed
our intention to work towards something that we are aspiring to. It's in Pisces. It is about
aspiration. It is about dream. And I don't mean like hashtag goals and hashtag inspiration. I mean
literally what inspires you. What is the thing that helps you to have a bigger, more compassionate
understanding of the world and yourself and your place in it? That's what a new moon and Pisces
wants us to plant and wants us to seed and wants us to grow. So if you are a subscriber to the
Chani app, then you have a reading about all of this that pertain.
to your specific chart. We have new moon rituals. We have a new moon guided meditation. We have
journal prompts and a ritual. Did I already say that? We have alter suggestions. We have all the things
there. So go to the app. See what is there for you. See what it is. You want to do with this astrology.
And then let us know. This is all happening at the end of the week. So if you're listening to this
at the beginning of the week, we have one agreement here. And that is we do not fear the astrology.
We just use it as a type of weather report.
We don't fear the rain, hopefully.
We just say like, okay, it's going to rain on Saturday or it's going to be a thunderstorm more like it on Saturday.
And so I'm going to prepare for that.
And then if it's not that bad, then great.
I'll do the other things.
Maybe it's going to be kind of more dramatic other places in the world and it's not going to be so dramatic with me.
But how might I get really interested on what a thunderstorm could be?
How could I get interested in innovating and updating and doing something that maybe requires a lot of my courage, but is really necessary in my life at this point?
What tradition do I need to break from?
Thank you all so much for leaving us reviews and the App Store.
I wanted to leave you with this one by Carly Kalkusk.
I hope I said that right.
I love this app.
I like it so much I got the premium version.
Channey's thoughtful blend of traditional and modern astrology practices have been hugely influential on me as an astrologer since the pre-book days.
The app UI is clean, the design is cohesive, and there are a lot of nice features to explore at your leisure.
When it comes to well-informed astrology packaged in an approachable, actionable way, Chani has pretty much everyone else in the game beat.
All right, send you lots of love, many, many, many blessings.
Bye for now.
