Three things about this week. It is going to give you a phenomenal reset, restart, ability to make a new beginning.
It is going to bring you buzzy, clarifying insights, intel, and phenomenal conversations.
And it's going to help you to heal a little bit of that heartbreak that might be left over from someone or something.
Hello and welcome. This is the Astrology of the Week Ahead podcast. I'm your host,
Cheney Nicholas, your Astro Bestie. And in this episode, we are talking about the very last week
of May, May 26th as we move in to June and Pride Month. I do think that this will be a Pride Month
for the books because we need it, because we need to return to our roots, the first game,
Pride was a riot. And I think we need one this year. And also, when we get into June, we'll talk
about it a little later, but Jupiter is going to move into cancer and Venus will be in Taurus.
So it also feels luscious and divine and glorious and gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
So sticking with this week, Monday brings us phenomenal conversations, like beautiful new beginnings.
are moving into a brand new conversation. And we are also having the very last new moon. So we are
resetting. We are restarting. We're like, okay, let's clean the slate. Monday is for new beginnings.
That is it. I don't care what has just happened. I don't care what you're worried about in the future.
I don't care. Monday is a new beginning. You have to give yourself permission.
to restart, to give yourself a clean slate. You have to be the one to say, you know what, I'm just
going to give myself a fresh page. I'm just going to tear off the old stuff and be like, let's start
again because you're allowed to do that. I'm allowed to do that. We have to do that. Yes,
we want to learn from our mistakes. Yes, we want to give ourselves permission to just reboot,
restart the computer. Did you press the off and on switch? No. Try. Try on Monday.
turn it off, turn it back on again, and you will get beautiful insights. I promise you. This new moon is so
good and it is the last new moon for the next 12 years, a dozen years we will have to go through
before we get another new moon like this. Why? Because Jupiter is still in Gemini and this new
moon is happening in Gemini. And Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is hanging out in Gemini.
and I. So it is a very good new moon. Point blank, period. That's it. It's a good new moon. We don't have a lot of
them in 2025. You might have noticed 2025 is a little hard. It's been a little crunchy. It's going to
change, though. June is going to change everything. But this new moon is really lovely. It's supported by
every other planet. Like it doesn't have any foes. There are no villains in this story momentarily.
we just have like one moment where we're like, oh, okay, we can work with this. This we can work with.
And this is how I want you to work with this new moon, Monday, this week, but especially Monday.
I want you to let your curiosity lead you. I need you to let your curiosity lead you.
I need you to ask questions and be open-minded. And I need you to go against your own inner
instinct or your own inner pathways that lead to a resistance. I need you to be open to possibilities.
Or better said, if you're open to possibilities, when you're open to opportunities, when you're open to
not knowing, like, I think I know how this is going to end, but I actually have no idea.
I actually have no idea if we'll win. I have no idea how this will end. I have no idea what the meaning of
this thing is. So why not be curious and open to discovering what it could mean for me, for us,
for the world? That's what Gemini invites us to do. Gemini invites us to look at things from
another side, to question what we think we know, to remain in a state of curiosity and to
Let our curiosity lead us. And isn't that always the best thing, although maybe the hardest thing,
to do when we are in a bind? Isn't it always the best thing to do when we are in a crisis?
Isn't it our gateway to creativity when we stay curious? I think it is. I think it's one of the
gateways to like, okay, this looks dire. And also, what might I not know? What might be just around the
corner. Yes, it could be easy to lose faith in the world or in the situation or in certain things
in life. But what if it's all happening in the way that it needs to? What if it's all happening
and I am a part of its great unfolding? We are a part of its great unfolding towards something
that's really good. I'm not saying it's true. I'm just saying it's true. I'm just saying,
like, what if? What if you went into this week thinking that? I just wonder what would change.
Okay. Monday is a new moon in Gemini. It is a restart. It is a rebrand, if you will. It is a moment
to clear the decks and be like, what else could be possible? Its ruler is Mercury. Mercury is in
Gemini. This is excellent. And then it also has Jupiter co-present. It's not close, but it's there.
and that means that Jupiter is giving it some protection and some bounty and some abundance.
And when we think about abundance in Gemini in a positive way, we can think about, again,
abundance of opportunities to think in a different way, abundance of curiosity, and abundance
of conversations. So I just think that this is like a really intellectually stimulating moment.
And at the same time, Mercury is making a sex style to Neptune, which gives us just open-ended pathways
to think creatively and to think in ways that are really imaginative and really new because
Neptune is newly in Ares.
And then Mercury goes on to trine Pluto, who's newly in Aquarius.
So this is about having deep cathartic conversations that might be just that little extra something
that changes everything. And again, it's also a new conversation because Pluto is newly in Aquarius.
So there's just a lot of like new, abundant energy here that helps us to think in different ways and to have
conversations that connect us to possibilities we didn't know about before. Then on Thursday,
Mercury and the Sun come together. On Thursday, you are going to get downloads and insights. On Thursday,
you are going to have clarifying conversations. On Thursday, you are going to have the gift of Gab
or you are going to receive the exact text, the exact email, the exact book, the exact article
that you need in order to figure something out. This is the day to like pay attention.
Who is saying what to you? That makes sense. That helps you to, again, think in a different way.
that helps you to stay curious and who is inviting you into a conversation that you find really
interesting. Go with it. Let your curiosity lead the way. On Sunday, we are invited to heal a little bit
of our heartbreak or heartache. On Sunday, we are invited to be really extra tender with a part of us
that doesn't know how to cope with our insecurities. On Sunday,
the part of us that feels unsure about ourselves might be a little extra loud, but so too
will the medicine we need to heal the thing we're insecure about. If you feel a little unlovable,
if you feel like no one's ever going to actually meet me in this place, if you feel in some way,
shape or form, like you are undeserving of love or the part of you that feels undeserving of affection
and love and appreciation and sweetness and just like connection and relationship, that part of you
might be extra loud on Sunday. Or if there's something in your existing relationships that is
functioning from that place, that will get extra loud. And we all have it. And all of our relationships
somewhere, there's like, just like this little tiny piece of insecurity or this little tiny
piece of feeling unsure or this little tiny thing that hurts, right? That's why we get together.
We come together in relationship to heal, to heal the things that hurt. And then to see what's
possible, to love, to heal. Because on the other side of healing, anything that hurts in any kind of
relationship that we are in is expansiveness. We get to then live out all the other things that the
relationship is capable of doing when we stop and address the things that come up as thorns
in the sides of us personally or of the relationship itself. So for some of us, Sunday is going
to be that moment where we're like, hmm, I think we need to stop and address this.
And for others, it will be really medicinal because this is the day that Venus and Chiron
come together. Venus, planet of love and pleasure and sweetness.
Chiron, the planet of wounds and healing and how we tend to the things that hurt come together.
And so one way to spend this day is to do anything that feels creative, like a creative act
of making something beautiful as a healing practice, dance, go to any kind of concert, go look at
flowers, go be in beautiful surroundings. That will be healing. And that's a perfect way to engage
with this day. And then for those of us that need to do the deep relationship work, it'll find
us, you don't have to push it. You don't have to worry about doing it right or wrong or getting to it.
it'll get to you because it's in Aries. So it's very, very loud.
Speaking of loud, Saturn has just entered Aries. My friends, this is the first time in like
three decades that Saturn has been in Aries. It is going to be loud and it is going to be
major. And I want you to understand what this means for your charts. So we want to give you a code
to use in the app that will give you absolutely free premium content. The code is Saturn 30.
It doesn't matter if you've had a code in the past, if you've tried the app in the past, or if you're a
brand new user, it is open to absolutely everyone because this is such a good moment to dig into
your Saturn placement in your chart and where Ares is in your chart and what it means.
for you to have Saturn transiting through the part of your chart that contains Ares. Did you know that
there's more than one Saturn return in your life? Yes. If you get to the end of your 50s, you do a second
Saturn return. Did you know that there was something called a Saturn first quarter square in a Saturn
opposition and a Saturn last quarter square? Yes, every seven years, Saturn makes a major aspect to
itself. Go to the transit section of the Chani app and see if that's happening for you. Use the code
Saturn 30 and you can get all of this info and so much more. Okay, this week's question from the audience
is about having the sun and the moon in the same sign. This person wanted more info about it.
Well, the most important thing to know about having your sun and your moon in the same sign is that it says so much about the phase of the moon that you were born under.
So look, the sun and the moon can be in the same sign right before, during, or right after a new moon.
And these are three different types of sun and moon in the same sign type of people.
So if you have the moon in earlier degrees than the sun, so say your moon is at 13 degrees of
Gemini and your sun is at 20 degrees of Gemini.
So the moon is an earlier degrees of the sign.
Then you're born right before a new moon.
Hugely important.
Very different than someone born with the sun and the moon at the exact same degree.
And then that is even different than someone born with the moon in a later degree than the sun.
So say the sun's at 13 degrees of Gemini and the moons at 20 degrees of Gemini.
That means that that person was born after the new moon.
So if you're born right before a new moon, sun and moon in the same sign, but the moon is at an earlier degree of that sign than the sun.
That means that you're born right before a new moon.
That means that you're born at the darkest closing phase of the moon.
And I need to say that this is a modern take on this configuration.
Demeter George has written extensively about it.
Dane Rudyard wrote extensively about it.
Thinking about the phases of the moon and the phase of the moon that you were born under is really important.
And we actually include it.
in the Chani app and we actually include what it means. So if you look under your moon in the me
page of the Chani app, it'll tell you what phase of the moon you were born under and why it's
important. So if you're born right before a new moon, that means that you're born at the closing of a
cycle and that means that you're here to finish something up, but that you've also come
into this life, kind of having figured out a lot of stuff. We call it the balsam.
phase, kind of like balsamic vinegar, it's like dark. It's the dark phase of the moon.
And it is here to be like, okay, I've been around the block. I've done almost everything.
I need to close some loops. I got to finish up some relationships. I got to finish up some
situations. But I've come in like, I've got it. You don't need to tell me. I'm good.
It's that kind of a vibe. If you're born at the new moon, then that is the inception point.
that is like a very special moment because it is, again, wiping the slate clean.
It is wiping the slate clear.
And it is having to be in the process of conceiving things.
Or it's a life that is going to have to be very attuned to its own inner workings
because it is just at the beginning.
And it doesn't mean you're like a new soul.
And balsamic phase doesn't mean you're an old.
soul. That's very like new agey lingo that I don't use at all. So please don't superimpose that
onto what I'm saying if you would be so kind. But if you're born at the exact new moon,
then you're born at this really special moment. And so you might feel that throughout your life
that you have a lot of moments of like, oh, let's do this thing. Like there's these moments of
insight. There's these moments of clarity. There's these moments of like, yes.
let's begin this new thing. You might be the kind of person that begins a lot of new things.
And then if you're born just after the new moon, there is still that feeling of newness of someone
who's wanting to create something new and it is on its way. Right? If you're born after the new moon,
like especially if there's a lot of like 20 to 29 degrees, 28 degrees between your sun and your moon,
depending on how far apart it is, there's a feeling of like, okay, we've already begun.
Let me start to try to move this thing forward.
So again, go in the Chani app, go look up the moon phase that you were born under, and see
what kind of layer it adds to your life.
And then, of course, having the sun and the moon in the same sign is such an exaggeration
of that sign because your sun is how you shine, right?
Your sun is how you show up and say, this is how I'm going to illuminate life in this stuff.
And your moon is how you live out that big kind of life purpose a little bit at a time every day.
Having the sun and the moon in the same sign is like, this is my macro and my micro.
The moon does all the little micro things day to day through the body, eating, sleeping,
drinking, taking care of.
It's very physical.
It's about the physical plane.
And the sun is like our, you know, our mind, our great ability to like bring our souls and
tension into Earth, and we do that through the body. So if you have sun and moon in the same
sign, again, your macro and your micro are going to be very aligned. And you're going to be
very exaggerated. And so then you want to look at like what sign your ascendant is in and what
planet rules that, because that'll give you the different kind of thing that's happening in your
chart. Unless you're also an ascendant of the same sign as your sun and your moon. And that means
you were born around sunrise right before, during, or after a new moon. All right, y'all. Sending
you so much love, come back next week. There's more really, really, really, really, really, really good
astrology. We've got a Venus, X-L, Jupiter. It's so sweet. It's one of those, like, lucky days
for love and connection and fulfillment. So come back and we'll talk about how to work with that.
Bye for now.
