Astrology of the Week Ahead with Chani Nicholas - The Week of November 14th, 2022: Venus and Mercury trine Jupiter, then enter Sagittarius, and Mars squares Neptune
Episode Date: November 14, 2022In this podcast, New York Times bestselling author and astrologer Chani Nicholas discusses the astrology of the week and what it might mean for us all. The astrology of the week of November 14th, 2022..., is helpful, healing, and a little bit hectic. On Monday, Mercury sextiles Pluto and the Sun trines Neptune, helping us to imagine new possibilities and communicate with power — then Venus trines Jupiter and smooths out any relationship snafus that emerged during the eclipses. On Tuesday, Venus enters Sagittarius, lifts the mood, and prompts us to explore love and pleasure with freedom. On Wednesday, Mercury trines Jupiter and asks us to listen (and reflect on) the good things. On Thursday, Mercury enters Sagittarius, fueling the flames of data and conversation-analysis. On Friday, the Sun sextiles Pluto, reminding us to center our sovereignty. Then on Saturday, Mars squares Neptune and our communications get messy. The best course of action? Pause where possible and make no assumptions. Are Eclipse is officially over?
Yes.
Are we still in eclipse season?
Also, yes.
Is this week full of really helpful astrology?
Also, yes.
Is there also a part of the end of the week that gets super messy?
Yeah.
Uh-huh.
Totally.
Hello and welcome.
This is the astrology of the week ahead podcast.
And I'm your host, Channy Nicholas.
In this podcast, we look at the astrology of the upcoming week and how it will be landing for all of us collectively.
For a more personalized reading that dives into the ways that this week's astrology will play out for you, download the Chani app for iPhone.
All right, Astrocats, let's get into this week's astrology.
There's so many good things happening.
There's so many good vibes flowing through.
this week's astrology and we are just getting over the exact eclipse moments.
While the sun is in Scorpio, I feel like we are still technically in eclipse season.
That is the kind of overarching way to look at it as the sun is still in the sign where the
eclipse has happened. We're still in that moment. The next new moon will be in Sagittarius.
It will definitely be a reset button.
It'll help us to refresh.
And it will be, I think, the official shift out of eclipse season.
But the sweet thing about this week is that it does help us to refuel our tanks in some way, shape, or form.
Eclipses tend to be a little draining because of the power outages, the voltage, the voltage, the earthquake type of energy.
the frazzling, the fraying of the nerves that eclipses can bring, especially one with a Mars retrograde,
which we're still very much in, they can be something that, you know, empties us out to a certain degree.
So this week's astrology helps us to fill up where the eclipses might have left us a little bit empty.
Okay, so let's break it down day by day, beat by beat.
On Monday, November 14th, Mercury in Scorpio makes a sex style to Pluto and the sun in
Scorpio trines Neptune.
Two excellent transits.
I'm loving that for the beginning of the week.
It helps us to imagine new possibilities.
It also helps us to say something in a way or,
communicate something in a way that feels powerful and effective and also helps us to get
straight to the point. What I'm super excited about is that Monday night slash Tuesday will be feeling
this in the beginning of the week. Venus is going to trine Jupiter. Now, Venus is in Scorpio,
where it has a little bit of a hard time. Venus was very much a part of the first eclipse in
Scorpio that we had at the end of October. And that brought up or brought to light many
relationship issues and dynamics that were possibly secret or hidden until the eclipse happened
and then came to light. So if you've had some bumpy relationship dynamic stuff go on over the
past couple of weeks, I want you to know that this week's astrology is here to help it smooth
out. It's also here to be that connective tissue that can lead to some healing, either with the
people that you had the issues with or just in yourself or just in regards to the issue itself.
Relationship issues are the hardest thing we go through, right? We are each other's greatest
resource and also greatest pain in the ass. And we
always are in a process of coming to conscious awareness, hopefully, about how we project
onto other people. And listen, if we are going to go through life and be in relationship
with each other, we have to learn how to be in a process of repair, which requires us to be able to
hold ourselves and be accountable and also not miss the moments that we're being invited into
that could lead to repair. So it's all tricky. It's all nuanced. It's all very specific.
You can't apply the same rules to every situation. But if big relationship dynamics came up over the
past couple of weeks since the end of October to now, what this week is helping is the healing process.
You never know. Some things happen and you think, oh, my goodness, I'll never talk to that person again or they'll never talk to me again or I caused a lot of harm or they really harmed me. And time goes by. And sometimes if we're lucky, we get a chance to circle back around and say, you know what? I never took responsibility for that. Or sometimes this heavens open up and people come to us and say, you know what? I was really acting out. And I'm sorry.
you didn't deserve that and this was my part in the situation.
I hope some of that happens for all of us this week because this world is increasingly
in a place of exacerbation.
We are fraying a lot of our connective fibers a lot of the time.
And of course, social media just amps all that up.
And with a Mars retrograde in Gemini, there is a lot of misunderstanding or there's a lot of room for misunderstandings, especially this week.
So we've got both happening.
We've got the ability to smooth things over or maybe even find moments of healing with this week's astrology.
And we've also got an equally challenging opportunity for making sure that we're clear or we have equally
challenging astrology at the end of the week. Let me stay on track, though. So as soon as Venus
finishes that trine with Jupiter, which again is about pleasure and connection and healing,
Jupiter's in Pisces right now. It's a very compassionate kind of set up. And Venus is in Scorpio,
which is really deep and cathartic and here for the truth. So mixing those two things together
can be really helpful because, of course, we want truth, but we also want to have compassion and
something to help us mend.
And right now, Jupiter and Pisces is holding that capacity for us, or it signals that there is
something here that can hold the capacity for healing and reconnection while also Mars's
retrograde making some mayhem for us to also contend with.
So as soon as Venus has done that trine to Jupiter, it goes into Saturday.
on the 15th slash 16th, depending on your time zone.
Venus enters Sagittarius and here, you know, we're free to love.
We're free to have a good time.
We're free to roam.
We're here to explore love, pleasure, and connection in a very different way than we have
for the past little while.
Venus and Scorpio, very intense.
You know, Venus and Scorpio is very thorough in terms of,
of investigating the relationship issues and dynamics that are going on.
But now we've got Venus and Saj and there is like a lifting of the mood.
It's a little bit, hey, this is, we can do this.
This is okay.
We can get through it.
And we get to maybe even feel a sense of some openness and like expansive horizons.
And again, seeking out new avenues for pleasure, love, joy, play, etc.
then on Wednesday, Mercury makes that trine to Jupiter that Venus just did from Scorpio.
Big picture thinking, it's still deep, but it's also able to be broad.
And again, healing.
Now, Mercury was just involved in the last eclipse that happened a week ago.
And definitely some secrets were revealed through that one.
So this moment is like, okay, if some of the secrets or the hidden stuff that was revealed information was really kind of scathing or hard to deal with, this again acts like a healing bomb can help conversations find a place to be in a process of coming back together.
Right. During the eclipse, it might have been like, oh my goodness.
didn't see that coming.
And now we're like, okay, this is here.
This is what we need.
This is a thing about a lot of stuff having just happened in Scorpio.
What water signs, Scorpio, Pisces, Cancer teach us is to listen.
They're here to help us to reflect.
They don't, water signs don't maybe put out a lot all the time.
They might not be excessive.
Vervose. It's not known for them to be. It's not saying that if you're a water sign, you're not super chatty because that's not really how astrology your whole chart works. But when things are happening that are really impactful, like an eclipse where Venus and Mercury are involved in it in Scorpio, a lot of it is deep. Right. So we don't want to like rush through things. We want to sit in the information.
meditate on it and also listen for what it is.
So through the eclipses, if you were able to be like,
okay, this is what's happening.
Even if it's not what I want to happen,
but it is what's happening.
What can I listen for?
That is the best way to spend any kind of time in water season,
water sign season, astrology, cancer season,
Scorpio season, Pisces season,
that's the best way to connect with any water placements you have in your chart.
It is about listening.
It is about receiving.
It is about reflecting.
So this astrology, the beginning of this week, especially the first couple of days,
there's reflecting on what's good.
There's a reflecting on what's healing.
There's a reflecting on what's working.
There's a reflecting on what is being repaired after the chaos of eclipse season.
Then Mercury enters Sajj by early.
Thursday. Here, it wants to explore every single piece of facts and data, every conversation. It
wants to learn. It wants more info. It wants to hurl its mind out into the great libraries of the
universe and just take in all the info and data. It's a little over the top, like Mercury and Saj's
extra. It's in the sign of its what we call detriment or exile. It's like the opposite sign from what
it's used from where it rules, which is Gemini.
So there can be this like over emphasis on getting all the information when maybe you don't
need all the information.
You could just stick to the facts and data.
But here we are.
We're in an exploratory moment now with Venus and Mercury in Sajj.
On Friday the 18th, the sun makes a sex style to Pluto.
Really nice.
Remembering our power.
Remembering to work in a way that's sent.
centers are sovereignty. Where is my responsibility? Where is my agency? What does it mean for me to be
sovereign in this moment? Then on Saturday the 19th, Mars gets messy. It squares Neptune.
Okay. This is going to make the end of the week. There's two things going on. There's a lot of healing
and there's a lot of help and there's a lot of flow and there's a lot of like stimulating, exciting.
Yes, finally, we're out of eclipse season. Things are working.
that's one level.
Then at the end of the week, there's another kind of cross current that's happening,
and it is a little bit of chaos.
It feels a little bit like a Mercury retrograde because Mars is in Gemini right now,
so it's in a sign that's style is focused on communication.
And Mars loves to heat up the dialogue in Gemini and Square Neptune.
This is a moment that is rife for face.
news and accusations and conflicts and data and facts that just have no base in reality. So if you're
engaging in conversations that literally don't have all of the story, that don't have the other side,
the other facts, then you're engaging with something that is only possibly a half truth.
I just want us to all be really wary of that.
It's really easy to sling mud on the internet.
We see it all day every day.
And the moment we become engaged with it, we get dirty.
We get messy, right?
And there's always a lack of nuance.
Not always.
There's often a lack of nuance on the internet.
because it's not people in a room having a conversation having to deal with the consequences of what they're saying.
And people love to jump on and say bunches of stuff that also they have no actual facts and data about.
It's just the nature of the moment that we're in and all I'm saying is like that's already been happening for years, years and years and years.
This weekend's astrology exacerbates it.
So just be mindful of that.
Just be mindful of like what info you're taking in, what facts and data it's based in, where it's coming from, what motivations might be at play.
And I would stay off the comment section.
I would stay out of, you know, places where you know, things get super dicey and nobody's accountable for what they're doing.
Also, in your own life, things might just feel a little extra messy.
They might feel a little bit like a mercury retrograde moment.
It's happening over the weekend.
So weekends are great for getting messy if you don't have to get a ton of stuff done, which a lot of us still do.
But it's not an end of the week weekend beginning of next week that feels clear and stable and consistent.
It's a little bit of a tidal wave.
It's a little bit of an overwhelm.
It's a little bit of like, hmm, this feels confusing.
This doesn't actually seem to add up.
This is giving me anxiety.
This feels overwhelming.
When that happens, pause, stop, ask questions.
Do not assume anything.
Do not pass go until you know.
As always, we love and appreciate when you all leave us reviews in the app store.
Wanted to read you one by Gem.
It's called Gold Star.
I love this app.
Thank you, Channy Team.
the weekly readings are a wonderful reminder about astrology being a tool for the collective.
Yay.
Not a self-propathy.
I just gifted myself a birthday subscription and it's been the best investment.
Thank you, team, for the beautiful way you create and share.
All right, y'all.
That's my spiel.
Next week, we've got a new moon in Saj that, again, feels really lovely.
Very, very positive.
Saj season begins on the 22nd of November, and there is a new moon on the 23rd of November in Sagittarius,
Jupiter Stationing Direct. I love this new moon. We're going to do tons of work with it. Come back,
and we'll talk all about it. Lots of love. Many blessings. Bye for now.
