Hello and welcome. This is the Astrology of the Week Ahead podcast. I'm your host, your Astro Bestie,
Channy Nicholas, and just like any good best friend, I'm going to tell you what it is when it is,
and it is this week. This week is dicey. It's fiery, it's feisty, it's combative, it's ready for a fight,
It's got a full moon in Ares that is just magnifying everything.
But it's not just that this full moon is in Aries.
It's that it's square Mars, the planet that belongs to Aries.
But before we get into all of that, I just need to make sure that you know that Black Moon Lilith has officially launched in our app.
And I'm thrilled.
I love working with this placement. I think it's so important. And this is a part of our chart that speaks to that aspect of self that has been shunned or neglected or maligned or marginalized, pushed out in some way, shape, or form. Or the part of us that feels like we never fit in. And it also, through working with it, reveals,
the power of that kind of stance, the power of that aspect of self. In the app, you will find
a reading of your personal Black Moon Lilith placement, as well as a little horoscope for where
Black Moon Lilith is right now transiting in the sky. We also have three guided meditations
for this new drop in the app. Please, please, please, please, update.
your Chani app. If you don't have the premium version of our app, you can try it for 30 days,
absolutely free by using the code Lilith 30. Please check it out. We have Black Moon Lilith and
so much more. We have a library of meditations and affirmations and your whole entire chart
and the explanation of each thing in it and a million other things. Really, it's loaded.
Okay, now let's go back to talking about this week's astrology.
So the moon is in Ares, Mars's sign, and Mars is in cancer, the moon's sign.
So there is like a kind of affinity for each other.
It's kind of like being in somebody you're not quite sure about's house.
And they're in your house and you're like, okay, I don't love that you're in my house.
But I'm in your house, so I kind of have to depend on you.
This is weird.
We do things very differently.
The moon wants to be cozy, higgy, wants to snuggle, wants some lovely cuddles.
Mars wants to go out and blaze a new trail.
It wants nothing of comfort.
But they're in each other's signs, so they're having to figure something out that's like weird and foreign.
Also, the sun is in Libra, which is a sign it also feels weird in.
And when the sun squares Mars on Monday, it's like everybody's claws are out and their fangs are out and their hair is up standing on end.
And it's just there's a tension in the air.
And it's weird because Sunday, yesterday, I don't know when you're listening to this.
Maybe you're listening to this on Sunday.
Sunday there's a sun Jupiter trine, which is so great.
It's so life-affirming and it's so bold.
And then we move right into a sun square Mars, which is like, okay, let's go.
and it's a lot of confrontation.
And the Sun and Libra wants things to be peaceful and equitable.
But it's not right now.
It isn't.
So the best thing we can do is be like, okay, I don't like this and this is why I don't like it.
And this is what I can do about it.
And this is beyond the scope of my ability and power at this moment.
Like I cannot fix every problem in the world, but I can
address this thing right in front of me and I can do it with integrity and accountability
and kindness and to be as absolutely direct as possible. It's just that the sun in Libra and
Mars and Cancer are probably the least direct placements out there. So it's going to be really
hard for people to do that. Or there's going to be something that is like, okay, we're trying to get to a
place of fairness or of figuring out this conflict, but it's like there's a little bit of
emotional manipulation with Mars and cancer and there's a little bit of people pleasing with
the Sun and Libre. So it's like, wait, what is the actual thing? Can we get clear about this?
What's really going on? Why isn't anybody being honest? I don't know. I'm always that role.
I'm always like, why are people speaking like this? I don't have a lot of, I don't understand.
those filters all the time. Anyways, that's me, that's not you. But there's something here that,
to me, to my kind of persona, I'm like, oh, God, what is the actual thing? Venus, though, is in Scorpio.
And it wants to understand what's going on underneath the surface. And also on Monday, it makes a very
tense opposition to Uranus. And so again, it just feels grating. This is a tension that builds
towards a change. And there's a need, like Venus wants to build social cohesion and Uranus
wants to go do its own thing. It's kind of like Mars in that way. Both Mars and Uranus have this
quality when they're present in a setup of like, oh, I'm not sure what's going to happen. They're
going to break with tradition or going to go off, kind of go rogue. So there's a lot of like rogue
energy here. There's a divisiveness. There's just this quality of irritation, to be honest. And it might be
so minimal in your own personal life. Like, don't take what I'm saying too seriously. My job is to be
dramatic about the astrology. But I really do think the best case scenario for this kind of setup is that
we get really honest about how we feel and what we need. And we get clear and we stay kind and accountable.
and we learned something new about how to parse through conflict because conflict is inevitable
and it is so important. It's okay. It's actually good to be agitated by something. The agitation is
teaching us something. What is it that's agitating me? It's probably the fact that I'm not
taking something seriously that I need to take seriously about myself or in my own life.
And so I'm agitated in myself. Or there's something outside that's agitated.
something in me, how can I best show up in this moment for this irritating situation?
Can I have some humor with it? Can I poke fun at it? Because then I know I'm not getting too
calcified in my own kind of place. Also just in the world, it feels like a fraught kind of moment
that set up. Then on Tuesday, there's something really lovely that happens. Venus goes and makes
So trying to Neptune, love it.
Very deep and intoxicating.
It's a very like romantic, maybe romantic platonic or like having a romance with a city or there's
something here that's like, you know, Venus is in Scorpio right now.
So there's a deep emotion.
And Trine Neptune, there's a feeling of being just, it's very like heady and, oh, God,
it's so good.
So I like that.
That sounds fun. I'll take that. That on Thursday we've got the full moon. And the full moon is
in Aries, which is fun and bombastic and has a lot of zeal to it and a ton of personality. And it's
go, go, go, go, it's fiery and it's square Mars. So it's also annoyed and it's going to be
confrontational about it because this is a moon in Aries. So again, how do we want to confront the thing
that's annoying us? How do we want to confront the issue? How do we want to confront the issue? How do
do we also want to tell ourselves and life in general that we are going to channel the courage
necessary to be fully engaged with this moment in our life? How are we going to show up as the heroines
and the heroes of our own life? What's the gender neutral term for that? How are we going to
show up as like the warriors we want to be? Because we have to fight for things that we won't.
what? We do. We have to keep going. And so this full moon is also really encouraging our courage
and encouraging us to work on our conflict resolution skills. And you can't always resolve a conflict,
but we can always learn how to approach it again with integrity. Yada, yada, yada, yada. But it's true,
right? We've got to do that. Anyways, the full moon is bold and it's big and it's quite beautiful
in its obnoxious, enthusiastic, in your face kind of way.
We have to appreciate the signs for what they are
and the qualities that they bring.
And we know that we're going to have a lot of spilchus.
We're going to have a lot of like, oh, I got to get up and get this done.
There's a lot of energy here.
And a square from Mars is energizing.
It's kind of like having a thorn in your side.
You're like, ow, I got to go.
And the full moon in Ares is already going.
Now, the full moon is also conjunct Chiron.
And this is where we had an eclipse on April 8th.
So it does feel like it's hearkening back to something in April.
This is not an eclipse, but this full moon is happening in the same sign as the North Node.
They're just far enough apart where it's not an actual eclipse.
But, you know, it's the first full moon.
First Lunation in this sign that's not an eclipse for a little while, because we've been having
eclipses here. So there's something here that, again, harkens back to six months ago. And you might
notice, like, what seeds did you plant around that April 8th moment? Not that we, you know,
want to plant seeds during the eclipse, but what started, what it was initiated, what got going in
April, and what's happening now. And a full moon conjunct Chiron in Ares is going to make. And a full moon conjunct
Chiron in Ares is going to make our wounds and our healing process and our own inner teacher
and own inner mentor really obvious. It's a fire sign. It's going to be blatant and blunt
and in our face. So some things are going to hurt. Or when we come across the things that hurt,
we're going to say, oh, great, I'm so glad this has been made obvious to me,
because now that I know the problem, I can seek out the salve.
I can seek out the remedy.
I can seek out the medicine.
Because just as the wound will be pronounced, so too will the medicine, because Kairon is both.
Kairan knows the medicinal qualities of things, of plants, of herbs, of,
of the natural world, as much as it knows the wounds that help us do our work.
So we might notice a pronouncement of what hurts in the world, and a full moon next to
Chiron is calling us all to become the healers and the teachers and the mentors that we need
to be, and also to call on the healers and the teachers and the mentors that we need right now,
because that's how it works. We all need each other. And then after the full moon, Venus makes us
sextile to Pluto, which is good. It's deep. It's cathartic. It's helpful. It helps us to digest whatever
the full moon has brought up. And then it moves into SAD, which is actually super fun.
Then we have like a love affair with adventure. Then we are galloping towards pleasure.
Then we have some get up and go to go say, hey, would you like to have a date? Would you like to have a
coffee date? Would you like to have a date date? That's a cute shirt. Where'd you get it? We get that
kind of energy to go initiate, or at least to like interact with the world in a way that brings about
some pleasure. It's a mutable sign, so it can go in a lot of different directions. But the full moon
is that initiatory energy. It's that energy of starting something. So there's a lot of of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, a
feelings that will come about at the end, mid to end of the week. We'll be feeling this full moon
for a couple of days before and definitely after. And I really want us to think about what the
medicine is that we have to bring to this moment. We don't have to have all of the remedies.
We do not have to be a panacea of prescriptions. We just have to bring the medicine that we have
been cultivating to the world, to our life, to this moment with humility and hopefully some
humor and some sincerity and say, this is what I got. Is it helpful? And that heals us. That's how we
heal. It's not all about us getting the healing, right? It's about us being of service and that
being healing in and of itself. Y'all, thank you so much for leaving us reviews in the
