Starting point is 00:00:00 Listener. to bonus episodes and the video versions at anti-domaclub.com. Enjoy the podcast. Yeah, listen to the anti-domaclub cast. The greatest fucking podcast in the world. Burn my Kentucky sometimes and guess. We hope you enjoy the part of a fucking podcast. Hello and welcome to the anti-donor podcast. A very exciting episode today, very exciting. I would say a little bit different to what we usually do.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Yeah. But an evolution, not a revolution. What? Just a slight shift in tone. We just got the latest podcast results. Yes, we did, the charts. The podcast charts. I'm just going to introduce our guests before we even talk about that.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Please, please, please, please, please, please. No, that's fine. Very special guest from Missionsax Legwazam Arama. Abby Chatfield. Hi. I wish. No, I'm sorry. You were talking about... You're not bringing in an audience like Chatfield. Well, no, based on the results. But you might. If I was Abby Chatfield, much like Abby Chatfield, I wouldn't be here right now with you two. To be very clear. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 00:01:29 You know how successful? I would be if I was Abby Chatfield. Wow. Actually, we follow Abby Chatfield on Instagram and Abby Chatfield follows us back. So actually, we kind of, and I've heard that she'd seen some of our stuff, actually. So.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Yeah. I love Abby Chatfield. I think I may have, like 4am a few years ago, potentially DMed Abby Chatfield, come to think of it. What about may have? You surely would know if you did. I did.
Starting point is 00:01:58 I think it was about some clip that she posted in earnest about a current mood she was in. And I was like, I don't know Abby Chat. What the fuck am I admitting? posted in earnest about a, like a current mood she was in. Yeah. And I was like, I don't know Abby Chap. What the fuck am I admitting? I don't think I've ever sent a DM to anyone. You wanted to reach out. You were in a vulnerable place and you wanted to reach out.
Starting point is 00:02:14 You felt like you connected. But I'm not like to be clear. I don't just go around DMing celebrities in the first place. And we should also be very clear. We should also be very clear that you are not abby chatfield You're not your mission with Trump our friend. We've you've been in a lot of our sketches Yes, I was doing a bit. I didn't want the whole as soon as I said I'm abby chatfield
Starting point is 00:02:35 I thought it would be like ha ha. She's like one of the biggest podcasts in Australia I didn't then want to commit to X amount of time sitting with you to pretending to be because I just the reason I say that your mission not abbey Chatfield is one for the sake of the introduction. Absolutely. And two, and this is really the big one, is that if people thought you were Abbey Chatfield and that you had sent a DM to Abbey Chatfield, it would have, I think, created an existential crisis for that.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Yeah, we don't want our audience to have a sort of mental episode. We're going to be listening to this, trying to figure out the hoops and the loops and why would Abbey Chatfield DM herself about something she posted herself. And I would, she do that. I don't understand. It's the Abbey Chat field.
Starting point is 00:03:20 It's the Abbey Chat field. It's the Abbey Chat field paradox. Yeah, but imagine the listenership if it was anti-donna with Abby Chat field, just putting it out there. That means I get 10% if it happens. No, well, I mean, we're on the same podcast network. So there's a chance that it's a chance that either it could happen all by the time this podcast is out, it has.
Starting point is 00:03:41 So I just think that the whole, we've gotten you on as a friend. God, I forget how successful you are. And you have posters of yourselves around this room. What is our success surprise you so much? So often I talk to you and you're like, I can't believe you're as successful as you are. You say things like that. You say things to me like you, of all the people at University of Ballarat Arts Academy. It's not meant to be an insult. It's mostly based on your abilities. Yeah. And I agree. See, that is an insult, Mesh.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Okay. But it's one that I am willing to take because I have low self-confidence. That's right. That's actually not true. My self-confidence has never been higher. Look at the logos you've got in your mics, mate. I know. And why are those on your mic?
Starting point is 00:04:26 As soon as you've got a logo on your mic, you've made it. Retire, bitch. Mish. Mish. Well no, you get the logos on the mics. Don't want to retire. This is the thing that people forget.
Starting point is 00:04:41 Once the logo gets on your mic, that's when the real work begins. Yeah. You work hard to get the logo on the mic and, that's when the real work begins. Yeah. You work hard to get the logo on the mic and then you've got to work even hard. In all fairness, as someone with a logoless mic, yeah. Working pretty hard. Yeah. Admittedly the logo... Actually, not really, actually, come to think of it, not completely. I'd not really, I slept till 930 today. I'm not... You just did a 24 hour stream.
Starting point is 00:05:04 I did just do a 24 hour stream. I did just do a 24 hour stream. But also, is that hard just to be awake? Pfft. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Fair enough. Should we set up the concept? Yeah, absolutely. So we got the podcast, we got the podcast.
Starting point is 00:05:20 The charts. Charts, the official podcast chart, and shock horror, the anti-donna podcast was not number one. Not in comedy. Not in comedy. Not in anything. Not in anything. I was expecting. I'm going to be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:05:33 I mean, I think that our unlistenable track should be number one. Yeah. And I was shocked. I was upset. I was outraged. What is wrong with this country? And then I said to some of the people around me, I said, so who are these number ones?
Starting point is 00:05:46 This Kyle and Jack-yaw. Jack-yaw. Jack-yaw. They explained to me that it was Jackie-o. Jackie-o. Obviously, it was separate. And I'm, we said Jackie-o, no. Jackie-o, no. I'm thinking obviously you'd never watched
Starting point is 00:05:59 Big Brother season... 10? Well, I did. I just didn't realize it was the same guy. Same guy. I didn't realize it was the same guy. Same guy. I didn't realize it was the same guy. I thought, I thought Jackie, oh, Jackie O'Nassus? No. She's been dead for years.
Starting point is 00:06:13 It's dead. And Kyle Sandelman. So at first I thought I'd go, I went, okay, so Kyle Sandelman, I know Kyle Sandelman for a big cover, season 7. But Jackie O'Nassus's the wife of John Kennedy. Yeah. Why are they doing a radio, a podcast together?
Starting point is 00:06:30 Yeah. Someone that explain, no, that's Jackie O from radio. Yeah. She just, shock jocks. One of the OG, oh, Kyle. Yeah, she's less of a shock jock. She's more of the jock that reacts to the shock. I'm not, I'm not, I'm gonna have to, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:06:44 I'm gonna have to defend Jacqueo a little bit, because the very fact that she isn't Jacqueo-Nassus and is doing a podcast with Sandalman and still gets to number one, like if she was on Nassus, I would assume. If Sandalman came out and said, I'm doing a podcast with Jacqueo-Nassus and then that went above anti-donna
Starting point is 00:07:03 and the ratings for podcasts. I'd be like, well, fair. I think it all be like, well, that's fair. He got, he got a Nassus. But no, it's just Jackie. It's just Jackie. And then number one, so I think, now let's- Number one, in comedy.
Starting point is 00:07:14 And I said, why in comedy? Why a cut? Is that really what it was? Yeah, oh, okay. Okay. That's a little bit. I don't mean to, I don't mean to, it's a bit of a kick in the D&D.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I'm not sure I was actually a part of that. That is actually a man here and a shock you, Jokes. Yeah. But they were number one in comedy. That genuinely has shock, categorization problem. I feel like a country, they make people laugh.
Starting point is 00:07:37 I feel like a country music star that's been, that's been, and, and, and, Kyle and Jackie O, the little Nazx. Mm. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I'm saying, you've cooked the books. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, but they cheated to get double. Do you know how they did it? I said,
Starting point is 00:07:52 how did they, I've never heard of these people. Yeah. I said, I've never heard of these people. I was like, cool, a, do they've been drinking? Well, who are these people? Yeah. And someone explained to me, well, they were nobody's. Yeah. But the reason they're number one is because they've started doing maths recaps. Drama drama. Oh my God. The people love drama as it turns out. And so in a mouth and they love maths. Well, he doesn't love maths. Maffs.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Maffs. Is a reality program? Yes. And when I was a child, I used to get my maths books and put them on my lap. See how many I could, was when I was in high school, see how many I could stack on my lap and then move them with only the power of my penis.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Maffs. So we said, well, I got up to nine. Nine maths books you could lift with your dick. What I could move. Wait, hold on a minute. Are we talking thick textbooks or are we talking to those people that get the thick text books? Home-schooled maths little time magazines from Kmart brother.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Because I'm talking about that. I'm talking about the thick maths books. Nine thick maths books. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just, I had a real issue which I could, I was just always on a stick. Nine maths books. Nine maths books. Nine maths books.
Starting point is 00:09:20 Nine maths books. Nine maths books. Nine maths books. I know, but it seemed a little more for me. Here's what I think. I'm horny now, person. Here's what I, you're always horny. Everyone had stiffies in high school.
Starting point is 00:09:33 And miss you're always horny. I don't have the power to do the maths spell. I do. We hit that maths spell, get that hornyness. There it is. So here's what's gonna happen now. We've talked about the strength of Mark's erection. Pfft.
Starting point is 00:09:46 That's cool, Bell. So the other thing I wanna say is. This is the sound of me having a car. The other thing I wanna say is I'll produce a, said I can bring the math, math to Bell. And I said I know what that is. I've watched maths every day of my life. Love the math.
Starting point is 00:10:04 Love the math. And this season 10 was in particular such a season of maths. So what I'm gonna say right now, before we talk about season 10 and maths, and we talk about the bells, is I said, I love maths, I love that bell, I know what it is. But I worry you could get repetitive, can you get some other bell sounds in the mix?
Starting point is 00:10:22 Yeah. So we've got the school bell we might have also other bell sounds. That boxing bell, the door bell. The door bell. Guess what? I got a fever. And the only prescription is more cow bell. Cow bell.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Cow bell. But also when I'm going to overuse it, but I just thought we should mix it up. Right. But the point is, if Kyle and Jackie Oaken do a maths recap, well, we can do a maths. We can do a maths god, damn recap. And we can make, and we can fucking make number one
Starting point is 00:10:57 on the comedy charts. And they've had a too good for too long. The fact that they're number one, when we are the biggest maps fans, we love maps. We love whole country. I can't think of a time when I haven't been watching maps over the last 10 years. I've got beef with you too, because my being here means that I'm not currently watching maps. And we apologize. That's okay. And you need to do the work on yourself to get over it. Yeah, I'm putting my career first. Well, we got you here because we wanted you,
Starting point is 00:11:26 we know you love pop culture, we know you love maths. Yeah, we wanted you to sort of get your opinion. You always want me. That's what I'm here for. We got in the maths. So as you know, Sunday night, yep, Sunday night, And when? Finish days. Well, it's finished on Sunday.
Starting point is 00:11:46 It's finished on Sundays, but there's Fools, Fools, three episodes of Sunday's Tuesdays every third Friday. Every third Friday. Every third Friday, Sundays and Tuesdays. And last.
Starting point is 00:11:57 And last. And last. And last. And last. And last. And last. And last. And last. And last. And last. And last. And last. schedule. Last Sunday before or after 60 minutes, we got the finale of season 10 of
Starting point is 00:12:07 maths. Why recap every episode? Yes, the other finale. Let's recap the whole season of maths. I have a lot of friends in the show we interrupt this broadcast and I was watching that show and I said I need to interrupt this broadcast with some maths. No, yeah. I finished all my friendships with everyone on that show, and I said, I'm sorry. Sorry, I don't have time for that. Yeah. I don't have time for that, because I'm watching maths,
Starting point is 00:12:32 and they're like, but didn't wait, hold on, the seasons end, I don't care. It doesn't matter. I'm rewatching season 10 of maths. I wanna relive the drama, and my god was this not a drama packed season 10 of maths. Can we talk about the drama? Should we talk about the drama?
Starting point is 00:12:52 I think it's time. I think I'm talking about some of the drama. You think I fucking be here if we weren't here talking about the drama? I wanted it because it was drama central this year. I felt like I'd pulled up to drama central station. Yeah. Now the reason, of course, they call it maths is because it is about two people getting married at first sight, but one plus one doesn't always always need to do.
Starting point is 00:13:13 And sometimes it equals zero. Zero, sometimes it equals three. Well, three if there's enough sparks between them, that the value of that spark is one person. And my God did the sparks fly. Yeah. First question. Yes, yeah, yeah. Episode one, I'll go on all the way back to the start.
Starting point is 00:13:35 We're going to talk about the whole thing. Well, we're recapping, so we might as well. A triple episode, I believe. Yeah, they did all three in the row. Yep. On the Sunday. On the Sunday. Sunday. Yeah. Sunday. Sunday.
Starting point is 00:13:45 Yeah. Yeah. Sunday was the premiere. The premiere and we got an hour and a half and maths. Like three hours. Three hours. Three hours. I was talking about the first half.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Oh, of course, the first half, you're gonna take a break. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're gonna take a break to gather yourself because of the drama. Yes, exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So when you first met the couples before they met each other What because they get married at first sight, I believe so they we met them before they met each other
Starting point is 00:14:11 Yes And they did the talking yes, they did yeah, they talk They and what I didn't realize this season really opened my eyes I didn't rise married at first sight was a play on love at first sight laughs Oh I didn't rise, married at first sight, was a play on Love at first sight. Laughs. Oh, they should have called it maths. Well, rather than maths. Yeah, you would think. You would think, laughs was actually...
Starting point is 00:14:33 Okay. It's cute that you guys think that your experts on this show, but let me just take over for a very quick check. We all love this show. In 2002, they tried this show under the name laughs. Love it first side. A bit of a sort of my restaurant rules, my kitchen rules sort of situate. 100%.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Obviously this is way before any cooking show. I love the idea of playing ignorant on my reality show and then having an in-depth knowledge of the my kitchen rules. I wish I could show rules like I could tell you, I could tell you everything about my kitchen rules. It's no idea how much I could tell you guys about love Island. And for whatever reason you genuinely wanted me to talk to about the cameras.
Starting point is 00:15:19 No, no, no, we're trying to make number one on the comedy podcast charts. And the only way to do that is with a mass recap, so let's stick to the schedule. And I'm on my bike about it. Okay. All I'm saying is, you can cut this bit if you want. What I'm saying is if you ever do need someone to come and actually talk to you about love Island, I'm actually a really, really good person.
Starting point is 00:15:40 Maybe we can just do that in person. Maybe. Maybe. But, but. Yeah. Me and Mish, because I think we're taking the tone of our above reality TV. Me and Mish, for a side project once, watched all of season one of my... I know, I did the logo for it.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Yeah, you did too. Yeah, you did too. Yeah, I helped you with the logo. So you understand that like, I'm not above this. I just have to. No, no, me neither. My favorite is, in Furner Island on Netflix Netflix the Korean dating show where no one has any personality You what you know you watch that they just released even though it's old they just released
Starting point is 00:16:15 season five of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Oh, it's great. So nothing will ever top season four Okay, I understand but I actually want to recap that show. But we've agreed on the joke to do this one. Well, it's a joke, but also... We want to hit those charts. We want to hit that number one chart. I don't think when you guys hit number one,
Starting point is 00:16:37 I, who have worked with you multiple times, I get like four or five Instagram followers off. Yeah, I need them followers. So what we're going to do now, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Absolutely. Thank you for considering. So we're gonna hit number one. All right, we're gonna hit number one.
Starting point is 00:16:51 You're gonna get three or four Instagram followers. Oh, I could dream. But we've done all this little whispering. We're gonna go to an app break now. When we get back, we are hitting the math freak out. All right, hard. I can just commit. Commit, commit. I'm here with you, boy. All right, we're just going to go to an ad break now. And when we come back, our math streak app.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Woo! Welcome back to the math streak app. We are talking that crazy, triple episode Sunday night opening season 10. One of the best opening episodes that went for three hours of any TV show I have ever seen, the drama, the couples, the married at first sight, they just kept coming. I can't believe it. We all saw the headlines, it broke network TV.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Favorite couple, favorite couple and what happened at their coupling that made you think, Mish, that that was good and it was going to be good and that you were gonna have a good time and you wanted to see them and what happened and whether or not it was good. That's such an easy question with such an easy answer. I'm talking, what do you guys think when I say the word,
Starting point is 00:18:02 latent? Oh, latent. I, latent, I think is so. When you say latent when I say the word latent? Oh, latent. I think is... When you say latent, I think Melinda. That's right! Instantly, I think Melinda. Yeah!
Starting point is 00:18:13 The woman... Yes. That was in that coupling. Yeah, and she was a fashion designer. Yes, she designed. I think she's designed most clothes. Based on this, based on the season, she designed Cumberb she's designed most clothes. And based on this, based on the season, she designed Cumber Buns, really colorful ones.
Starting point is 00:18:28 And yes, and when I first heard Layton, I went, isn't he married to Beck? And out, it wasn't Heward. It was a man. Name Layton. Name Layton, who was named. Shortbacken, so I loved his shortbacken sides. And I loved the way.
Starting point is 00:18:52 I loved the way when he went up and he got married at first sight that he hadn't seen her before. Oh, no. No, they did because and that was when they saw each other and she saw him wearing a sort of a lilac or a pale blue tie. I thought I remember thinking sort of a lilac or a pale blue tie. I thought I remember thinking sort of a lilac or even a white, I guess, yeah. Silk, it's silk, it's a silk tie. I was watching it from a distance with my eyes squinted,
Starting point is 00:19:14 so it didn't really look like he was wearing a tie at first but then on closer inspection. I think there's a sort of a lilac wearing a tie on the show that we watched in love. And I remember thinking in that moment, she's a fashion designer. How is she gonna feel? Because her, his jacket was not bright and colorful,
Starting point is 00:19:30 like Jesse's jacket. Oh, could we talk about Jesse's jacket for days I could talk about it? It was pink jacket. And when I saw him, I went, oh, here we go. Hipster, fun, cool, turns out different to that. Different, more layers. More layers, more layers, more layers, more layers, more layers.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Different layers, the long hair with the top knot. I thought, I recognize that, I've got long hair in a top knot. But over the course of the series, I don't want to jump ahead of season one. But as Jesse emerged as being sort of having more going on and whether you would say that that more going on is more hips to them, you're expecting, or different. He was like a, he was like a, he's like,
Starting point is 00:20:14 that's your choice. We leave that to you. It's completely open to interpretation. Absolutely. All I know is that he had a pink jacket and whereas Layton didn't. Yeah. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:20:27 And that's why they got into that fight. Now, I got a big question for you. That's episode three. We're way off that. Wait till we get to episode three, the fight between Jesse and Layton. Yeah. That was all started by Taylor. Yeah, and Sandian Dan, we were my favorite couple.
Starting point is 00:20:41 Zach, who were your favorite couple in the first episode of season 10 of maths? When you saw this couple that was your favorite couple, did you think it was going to go where it went and how and why and were you excited? Well, I think what really blew my mind is this season had two or three couples that had a pretty big height differential. Yeah. So you had a Lissard Duncan, you had Bronte and Harrison, and I would also say Tony and Oli, where the man was like a good foot, foot, taller, then the wife. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:22 And that's your first sight, that's what your notice is. A Lissard Duncan, probably the most, probably the wife yeah, yeah, yeah, and that's what at first sight that's what you're noticed a lizard and Duncan probably the most Probably the most height different. Yeah, the list is quite a bit shorter than Duncan is and and I noticed that Immediately when we watch them get married at the first sight. Yeah, yes and at first sight Did you think it was interesting that a lizard didn't or did mention that? I was confused I think it was interesting that a Lissa didn't or did mention that. I was confused. I was confused. I was confused as to why she did or may not have a chance in it.
Starting point is 00:21:51 It was weird to me as well the choice that she made. Yeah, but it was, to either mention it or not. Because we're looking at this and we see on the television. And we've got little pieces of paper here and you can see it here as well. Yes. As well on this little picture no this is a little picture of just so we remember names to faces yeah we've got a little piece of paper and you can see it here on the piece of paper but I remember also seeing it on the
Starting point is 00:22:16 married when they got married at first yes yeah first sight at first sight. So, and I just remember thinking, well, that's a big difference, and then wondering if she, or he would mention the height difference. But then they got married and they continued to be married for a time, for the series. For the bulk of the whole time. The whole time, some time, that part's not important. What's important is that it was at first sight. And that happy couples do exist at first sight, or not regardless.
Starting point is 00:22:54 And that was my favorite thing about this season was how many couples there were. Do you know, I've had a bit of a question with how many couples, yeah, there, 12 couples. Yeah, and I loved that. I loved that. There was 12. Well, half of 12 is 6. Yeah. 6 and, 6 and 4 is 10. What season is this? 10. And. High five. Okay, I got a big question. We're jumping around a little bit here, I think, rather than go episode by episode Let's just talk the whole season. Can we talk about the experts? Oh, of course. Of course. Where would we be without?
Starting point is 00:23:31 Where would the couples, where would the 12 couples be without the experts and then? Where would love be without them? It's such an interesting Because this is the thing about married at first sight. It's not just a reality show It's also an experiment in what happens when people get married. It's a social experiment. Now season one was more of, now I think they do more of it for the drama. Oh, okay. When season one...
Starting point is 00:23:59 They still have experts there, though. They do have... That's true. Why would you bring in three experts? Three experts. Three of them. Well, not about love. So they bring in three experts, which is a man and two of which are women.
Starting point is 00:24:17 They bring their different expertise about marriage and about the psychology of the couples. But here's my question. What are you reckon about with that? Yeah. When the producers, because the producers obviously have to have a say. And less than you'd think. Yeah, right. So it is experts. And that's why they talk to the experts before enduring. Yeah. I'd like to like, okay, as someone who struggles with love, right? I personally see this show.
Starting point is 00:24:47 It's therapeutic in a way. I really, really appreciate that there are three people that to teach me how to love. Yes, yes, and didn't they really help out Taylor and Hugo? You have a thought about what happened with them and when they spoke to the experts, Zach. Well, yeah, absolutely. Because I remember saying, when they got married at first sight,
Starting point is 00:25:10 yes, because we met Taylor and Hugo before they met each other. Yes. And I remember thinking these people are very different. But the experts explained that even though their jobs were different, yep, their personalities had a complimentary, but I don't know, because see, the experts said that at the start, but then there was fire.
Starting point is 00:25:34 Yeah, yeah, and I mean, Taylor always stuck out to me as one of the three brides that wore a veil. And that to me was, when I saw that, knew that, noticed that, loved that, loved this season, loved maths,
Starting point is 00:25:50 we're recapping it. Yeah. I thought to myself, what does that mean? See, it took me weeks to accept that she was one of three wearing a veil. Really?
Starting point is 00:25:59 Weeks. Well, I was like, what's happened to tradition? Yeah. Yeah. And then I realized I didn't care. Of course not, because they're watching the show. For the drama.
Starting point is 00:26:09 And can we talk about the drama? I'd love to talk about the drama personally. Please. You might as well just jump on really quick. Please. What do you guys think of when I say, Janelle, and Adam? Janelle and Adam.
Starting point is 00:26:22 I think we heard that sound a few times. Yeah, in my gut. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think I think I bought a ticket Mm-hmm to drama central station. You better bloody believe it. You remember in episode seven Yes, I'm not really remembering the numbers, but it was on a Wednesday night. When's they night would have been episode Seven they start to blur together for me because every time a new episode comes out, I go back and I rewatch all of the episodes leading up to it and then it. So I've watched it all 134 times.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Yeah, of course. All the way through. So when Janelle first confronted Adam about his personal issues and his inability to do the things that she needed from a real man. So because what happens in a normal relationship is you figure out the things and the issues
Starting point is 00:27:15 before you get married. But what happened here is Janelle and Adam, much like the other 11 couples, they got married at first. Yeah, before they had the chance. At first. At first. Yeah, yeah, yeah the chance. At first. At first. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:26 And it's crazy. Janelle was very clear in the interviews that she needed certain things. Like the things she needed from, uh, from an Adam. Like a strapless dress. Yes. And, uh, which she was, which she got found that interesting because she was one of three. Three. One of three. Three. because she was one of three. One of three.
Starting point is 00:27:46 One of three. One of three, maybe four. Maybe four, maybe four. That's, well, who is more a strapless dress? And that to me was a big sign that this season was gonna be drama, drama, drama, drama, drama. When Lindel confronted Cameron about his top night. I'm personally not really that interested
Starting point is 00:28:04 in talking about Lindel. After everything that went down, are you kidding? Wow, you're team. You're team. Cameron. We remember that episode. I think it was maybe episode, it was either episode four or episodes five through to 10,
Starting point is 00:28:19 where Cameron got a bit upset. Oh yeah, yeah. And it was over. Yeah, yeah. And it was over something Lindel did, which I didn't necessarily agree or disagree about, but when she did it, I thought, whoa, that's gonna cause some drama.
Starting point is 00:28:38 And it caused us eat at like, on a scale of like one to 10, sort of between a three and an eight level of drama. Oh, I think it hit like eight as soon as she did what she did to his blue tie. As soon as she said that, uh, the blue tie in the top night, because you at the top night, she said, Lindel, Cameron has a top night. Cameron has a top night. And Jesse has half a top night, half down, half up, half down. Which is very interesting and a great reflection
Starting point is 00:29:06 on what we ended up seeing for the whole season of who they are as people are. Yes. With the full top not versus a half up, half down. Yes. Melissa and Josh, I saw some clips on TikTok about Melissa and Josh and that was really sad. I don't want to talk about it.
Starting point is 00:29:19 Oh. Because Santa's coming. Yeah. Well, that's exactly what he said to her when she was crying. She was crying. She was crying. I think she was... Weeping. Weeping and he said Santa's a common. And there he is. I saw that Tarny and Oli, right.
Starting point is 00:29:40 I love thinking about them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So when Oli said... Such a great... When Tarny said... Where he is. But... Right. I love thinking about them. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So when Tony said, hilarious. But, but. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They're my favorite couple. They're my funniest couple.
Starting point is 00:29:53 They're the funniest couple. And they were nice. And they stayed together or broke up and it was great either way. I know I have to say when they stayed together, not always. I was so happy when they broke up. I was so happy when they broke up. But was, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:10 And when, do you know, because I think, I do know this, that, because I watched it, that they give the experts, give them an option. So I wanna talk about, I don't, I just, there's different couples here. Yes. And there's different couples here. Yes. And there's a moment where the experts say to both of the people in each of the 12 couples, they say, do you want to end this now or do you want to keep trying to make this work,
Starting point is 00:30:36 right? Yeah. And then if one of them says I want to end it, the other one can keep trying and then they keep going. Well, the other one can just say no, which means they have to stay together like a normal relationship. Relationship, that is fact of the show. One wants to stay, one wants to leave.
Starting point is 00:30:52 You have to stay, even if you want to leave. Because it's a social experiment. But they have experts there. They have experts in the room when that happens. So that means that's how love works. Yeah, if you want to leave, you can't go with that other one wants to say. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:31:06 That's love. And that is commitment. Yeah. And that shows perseverance and not red flags. What? Not red flags. No. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Can we talk about? He's called married at first flag. No. Side. Side. First side. It would be called math. No one needs that. Math. site. It would be called math. And no one needs that.
Starting point is 00:31:26 And that's, and I would never recap it. I'd like to see fucking sandal man and own that since they've, yeah, good luck to him. Yeah. So here's my question, I know we agreed we would just talk recaps, but we all read women's days. Every day. Every and we all read. As a woman, perassalton. Perassalton. Perassalton. Yeah, of course. Every day. Every and we all read as a woman. Peres Hilton. Peresite.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Yeah, of course. TMZ. Every other day. The Australian equivalent of the Peres Hilton and the TMZs. Yes. Where they have rumours about what's happening. I believe it's called kids. The Mill. Kids on. Very interesting that one or more of these couples said they were going gonna stay together in that finale yet And yet we have heard now that they have not Continued to be together since the shooting of that for now. Yeah look. It's possible that they did or did not But that's not really why we're here. We're here to talk about At first
Starting point is 00:32:19 My worry is that was some of that the one I'm talking about I know the but I don't want you to. No, no, he's... No, he's... No, he's not in Rupert. No, he's in Harrison. Sure. Oh.
Starting point is 00:32:33 No, I know who you're talking about, but I won't say. I think that they were more interested. Well, no. No. No. I won't say who I'm talking about. I think you'll know once I say. Okay, go.
Starting point is 00:32:46 I think I have a feeling that you'll listen as a probably thinking that we're talking about Jinellen Adam, but no. No, no, no, no. That's where we want, that's what we want. You think we're talking about Tani and Ollie, but no, no, no, no, no. It's Claren't you?
Starting point is 00:32:59 It's not, no, no, it's not, it's not, though. I'll tell you what, if you've seen the show like we have, you, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, Yes, that that person was more was not was more on the show Yes in order to build up an Instagram following yeah Rather than to engage in the social experiment and see if they found the Disparry at first the dishonest the scandal of it all the scandal of it all the drama I'm This is not a joke. Fucking dare you.
Starting point is 00:33:46 You know who I'm talking about. Oh God, I've only done that. Not only do we know, because it's one person. One person. Well, it was one at first, but there may have been two or three, but one definitely. For what I'm saying, when I say this person was doing it less to find love and more to build their profile
Starting point is 00:34:04 on social media. That's such a rare thing that you know who I'm talking about. Oh, absolutely. And also, it could have been some other people as well. Yes, but one, absolutely. And when the expert, the second lady expert said to them, are you here for the social experiment? Yeah. So I'm here. Are you turning up?
Starting point is 00:34:38 Are you showing up? Or are you here for other reasons? Because it looks like the other person in the couple wants this to work. Yes. Because it looks like the other person in the couple wants this to work. Yes. And it looks like you're just, because this is not a free ticket. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:51 Yes. You are making a mockery of love. Yes. By being here on this show called Married at First Site, where we take couples and have them wed each other. At first site. At first site, we film everything they do. We might even, it may look like we set you up
Starting point is 00:35:09 in positions and situations where you're fucked either way. And you come across as a villain. And you're gonna make a mockery out of that by being here so that you get a following on Instagram. Get the fuck out of here. Yeah, my house, get out of my house and it's shot in the house, some of it. It is some, some, maybe.
Starting point is 00:35:26 Some of my favorite scenes were the ones in the house. I wanted to talk about my favorite moment. Yeah, let's all, maybe he is, I think, because we're reaching the end of the podcast and so good to do a math recap. I'd love to do more recaps. I love talking about what happened in the show that we saw. Misha, we'd love to have you back if we ever talked about
Starting point is 00:35:46 other recaps. But how about let's just go through and let's talk about one, the last favorite moment from Married the Maths. So I think we can all know the part that we're all talking about. Well, I think each person might have a different thing. Oh, okay. So do you want to start with yours? Because I think I know what you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Yeah, I think I know what you're talking about. Yeah, I think I know what you're talking about. Okay, all right. But I think you'll be surprised by mine. Okay. I think you'll be surprised. Okay, but you think you know what mine is? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And miss, what was your favorite?
Starting point is 00:36:13 All right, say it with me. All right. When he ate the piglet meal. When he ate the piglet meal. P-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L- of who that was. But who did that? Oh, we all know it was Shannon. Shannon, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Paul Katelyn, it could be either or really. Katelyn prepared the piglet. Katelyn prepared the piglet. But that's love.
Starting point is 00:36:55 That is love. When you love your man, you prepare a piglet. I think you know what my one is going to be. So let's all say it in you to say it. Yeah. Ah! When haily when two are all burn when haily when two are all burn when haily when two are all burn.
Starting point is 00:37:24 And what was incredible about that was Haley wasn't in the show. But. I'm of course referring to Haley, the best friend of one of the... One of the... Sandy. Sandy. I've been... Sandy called Haley into... I need you to come to Melbourne. Yes
Starting point is 00:37:46 Yeah, which was crazy because I'm not entirely sure if Sandi and Dan were in Melbourne But when she said I need you to come to Melbourne and Hayley jumped on that plane went to Melbourne. Yes My it was like it was like my whole body went cold My soul left it left me. Yeah, cuz I really thought Sandy and Dan were doing okay And then suddenly Hayley's coming to Melbourne Fucking I thought I went that haven't I went no not Sandy and Dan We all love Sandy and Dan. I thought that was paradise
Starting point is 00:38:15 And when I saw that there was trouble in paradise. I was like god damn it Get me a ticket. Yeah, give me a one-way ticket to drama social social stand. And of course, once we found out then that Hayley was coming to Melbourne more for personal reasons. You know, Sandy was talking to Hayley about personal things outside of the show. I was so happy. And Dan's reaction to that was so sweet, humbling, sweet and confusing at the same time. Yeah, but that's for you to reflect on.
Starting point is 00:38:41 Yes. Like I felt humbled if you feel confused, that's a you problem. Mmm. Mark, what about you? I think I know what you're supposed to say. I think we all know what it's good to know. Why don't we say it together? Say it together. When.
Starting point is 00:38:55 So. When. So. So. Spilt on. Soup, soup, soup, spilled on Reese. When Brown soups filled up the rice, which was, again, incredible Reese not being character in the show. But the Brown soup itself was.
Starting point is 00:39:20 But the Brown soup itself was. It was probably carrots. It was, it was by person or by person. Brown soup itself was K-Lid of course Prepare the soup And boy was that a one way ticket to drama central And Oh, um, and Caitlin prepared the shot. It's good to be doing something accessible. Like, Kyle and Jack, yeah. That's why it's going to reach number one. I would like, I would, you know what? I'm willing to bet money, place fucking money.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Yeah, how much? That's sandal man. 120 bucks. Okay, that's sandal man. Ha ha ha ha ha. That's sand. Yeah. And don't nassus. Yeah. Never once brought out. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha I didn't bring up the suit. They didn't bring up drama central station, which a lot of the show was shut up. And they're calling themselves a Baff's Rehkath Shorter. I know what I think.
Starting point is 00:40:30 They're talking about the height difference. No, they didn't talk about how many people were veils, how many strapless dresses there were. This is so fucking bullshit. This is what I reckon. I reckon those sons of bitches, and sorry if you're listening, sandal man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:43 But you're a son of a bitch. Oh, I don't think they watch it. I think they have producers bringing me in a piece of paper that had, I don't know the names. And maybe the pictures of the couples on there. Maybe a few notes on some key events. Like I reckon that piece of paper even had the season in case they had no idea which season just was.
Starting point is 00:41:04 I don't think they even got key events. I think they I think there were moments where they remembered maybe some social media clips they'd seen of this or earlier seasons. Yeah. And I think they were just grabbing out it from there. The rest they fucking made up on the spot. How did that? Okay. As someone who also podcasts from time to time, I am offended. How dare they take this platform of podcaster and I'll tell you what? And make a fucking mockery of our jobs. I'll go one step further.
Starting point is 00:41:34 What? I bet they saw that maths was popular. I bet that they saw that there were certain podcasts that were doing number one. Based on the fact that they were doing maths recaps. Oh, yeah. And so then they went, well, we'll do one to get to number one. And it fucking work. And it makes me sick. As a math fan. And the reason we're doing this is because we're fans of math.
Starting point is 00:41:56 Yes. Yes. That's wrong. Yes. That's what it's immoral. Yeah. And ethical and to take immoral and unethical media techniques. Yeah. And besmirch the name of mass with those techniques to take a show that grabs love by the balls. All they hold it up for the world to see. And respects people respects people. Respects people.
Starting point is 00:42:26 It doesn't let those balls go blue. No, not once, do they. How many? One star, those balls blue. They are fleshy. They are fleshy and well kept. Yes. Pink, held and fresh.
Starting point is 00:42:39 Hanging down at the right body temperature. Absolutely, they respect the balls, maths. That's what I want to, they respect the balls. Yeah, and on that note, Mish, thank you so much for coming onto the podcast. I love talking about the maths. I just want to be really clear that this shift was not an edit. It sounded like an edit.
Starting point is 00:42:55 It was so extreme in my performance. And I love it. That was the joke I was going for. And it was fantastic. But people will be like, that was so extreme that felt like an edit. Yeah, but it wasn't. Mish, you can go on the Patreon,
Starting point is 00:43:05 you can watch the video you'll see, unless they cut from one person to another. Don't do it, make sure, stay on the wide, stay on the wide for that. Or just on the mish, do you have anything to promote? We have no, oh, this is coming out. Yeah, when is this coming? Whenever this show ends.
Starting point is 00:43:22 This is potentially coming out. I don't know. It might come out after your comedy festival run, but if you say it really quick, yep, then maybe the quickies, if you say it quick, then maybe it'll get to people quicker. So I don't know whenever the show ends, I don't know how it works. I'm going to just pretend like we did it. You know what I'm going to do? I would like you all to give me 15 seconds to promote all these aspects of my life. I'm going to put you on the clock. Yeah, great.
Starting point is 00:43:46 When is this coming out, James, do we know? Is that roughly when maths finishes, but Channel 9 is an advertising winner finishes, so it would be in the next... It hasn't finished. Oh, okay. Okay. No, well, it has.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Oh, of course it has. It was last Sunday. So, Mish, we're gonna put this out straight away. All right, great, great, great. And it's three weeks from now right now. You have 15 seconds to plug your bullshit, go. Hi, my name, Mish, we're going to put this out straight away. All right, great, great, great. And it's three weeks from now right now. Starting point is 00:44:28 Thank you for that extra second. Don't forget it. That's a friendship. We wouldn't. That's a friendship. It's a friendship. We wouldn't give that extra second to Abby Chatfield. Meesh. We fucking right. Thank you so much for joining us on our podcast. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Thank you so much for being here and and you all for respecting me and my choices. No, you're right. And hey, let's say it all together, the MAPS theme when you're in love at the site, but also feeling good about yourself as an individual. Don't go to the brown soup island.
