Starting point is 00:05:58 That's an important part of the series. Sure. Because that's the first time that we see these characters, Mark Broden and Zach beautifully played by Zach Mark and particularly Broden. They decide in that moment, that which way the series is going to go. It's not a, before that point, it's just a couple of guys at a school doing sketch comedy.
Starting point is 00:06:19 But in that episode, it's very important for me, writing it, and I don't know if this is the same with you, Craig. But, there's a me, writing it. And I don't know if this is the same with you, Craig. But, there's a real, there's a real point there where they decide this is about something more. And I wanted that to be clear to our audience. Well, I mean, so I don't wanna speak for you, Craig, but I certainly start from a,
Starting point is 00:06:41 I'm so sorry, Craig. I certainly start from a place of research. When I first found out that they play a game called four square in with balls. With balls in Australia. Sure, sure. I knew in that moment that that was sort of going to be the turning point episode. Yeah, I knew there that that was the app that we had to sort of ring in, you know, and we were looking for something, I would say for months, we really didn't know what that app would look like.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Well, that's important to say as well, because the writing room was not just you and me Craig, but it was actually 48 different Craig Maisons. And in that room, we were sitting there looking at the wall. And we were trying to find that MacGuffin, that pot of gold. Are you familiar with MacGuffin? I've had one before from McDonald's. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:07:37 That is a MacGuffin. That's a breakfast treat from McDonald's. Right, so that makes so much sense to me. Because when my lecturer at university, writing in college. You went to UCLA? Well, I went to university in Canada. Okay. Oh sure. We call it university there. We get our syrup from trees. And how do you say about a boot? Great. It's kind of like a boot. If you have a pair of shoes that don't have any laces, yeah. What would you call that? I'd call it a boot. I'd call call it a laceless. What do you mean? That's a boot? It's a boot what oh, that's great. You're see what I've done there a boot a boot yeah, or now
Starting point is 00:08:14 When I'm Craig Mason and I'm producer writer of the project. I'm Craig Mason I'm just a journalist. So I'm Craig Mason. I was a showrunner. Anyway, I make a lot of sense that a McGuffin is a sort of writing,
Starting point is 00:08:39 well not a technique, but a part of a writing. What would you say? So let me put it this way. A tool. A writing tool, as opposed to an English muffin, with a variety of. Simple sausage, sausage, eggs, bacon, egg and breakfast, and any sort of combination of those ingredients.
Starting point is 00:08:58 They usually come with a hash brown and a cup of coffee. Right, yeah, you get a little deal. And that is the B line. So the coffee is the B line. Does that make sense? When I wake up in the morning, I'm very simple guy, Craig Mason. I wake up, I'll have a bagel, cream cheese,
Starting point is 00:09:14 cup of coffee. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Sure. And for lunch, I'll have some cement, some some symbol like a smoked salmon on a with a lockson bagel.
Starting point is 00:09:25 Yeah, I'm like a bagel. Maybe a cup of coffee. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And then for dinner, I'm going out and I'm getting some symbol like maybe a ramen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Maybe a ramen cup coffee. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Yeah, yeah. And then you're going into Manhattan for the ramen? Gone into Manhattan, but there's some good places in Brooklyn, Williamsburg, but then maybe cup of coffee and then swing by a member of Diner and get it, give me a slice of cheesecake and a cup of coffee. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. When I lived in a loft, I lived in a loft. You lived in a loft?
