Starting point is 00:00:00 This podcast is part of the Planet Broadcasting Network. Visit Planet Broadcasting.com for more podcasts from our great mates. Well, we only don't have podcasts, the podcast about having fun with improvisation and characters. We are a comedy group that has usually just scripted our work on stage and screen. And the podcast is more of a into... It's more of an into... You know, the process of creating ideas and riffing with jokes. So there's a hit rate and there's a rate of this podcast where some of the episodes are going to be
Starting point is 00:00:33 bad and some of them are going to be good. That's the kind. So that's basically running out of podcasts. There's ones in the God tier. And then there's ones in the... Bad. I'm not going to listen to that. And let us know your favorite God tier. I haven't seen a podcast in the comments. Anyway, here's the problem audience. And it is a big problem.
Starting point is 00:00:56 We've run out of ideas. So we sat down before this podcast, and we just sort of... For the last maybe 100, we've tried to have a loose idea going in just a launching point and we sat down and we we just sort of said hey what do we want to do for this podcast you know and it's usually that bumblebee in a library oh that's well that is pretty good that is a good idea no it isn it isn't, it's bad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Why would a bumblebee be there? Well, it's to see more for the books. Yeah, well, maybe it, maybe it, you can't read them. And that's a read. Maybe it owes someone money. Well then maybe that would be a bank, maybe a bumblebee in a bank.
Starting point is 00:01:35 And I said bumblebee in a library. There's no money in a library. Why didn't you pitch that before the podcast? Because that's a really strong idea. No, no, no. Maybe it owes the librarian money because the librarian used to tour the bumblebee. Yeah, maybe they did and the bumblebee did a tour that went bad. Maybe that happened. Can we move on from librarian bumblebee? Only if you promise that we'll revisit it later. I would love to redo that just revisit it talk it through see if it's work
Starting point is 00:02:06 I don't want to throw out a bad eye we got no ideas so any ideas a good idea at this point I don't think so you don't think bumblebee in a library has legs. This is your idea as an example of a bad idea It's true. Do you want to do do you want to do bumblebee in a library? I want to see where it goes I just want to, is that fair? I think that's fair. And if it goes for 30 seconds, then that's the idea. If it's 30 seconds, that's what it is, but I think we've got a good half hour in Bumblebee in a library. We have no ideas.
Starting point is 00:02:36 Where out of ideas was what this podcast was going to be about, and then Broden contributed, I think the single greatest idea we've ever heard. This could be, this could be God here. This could be a God here. This could be the next to Zoolander. Well, you got how? I see no I see no legs in this. Well, they have several legs. Six six. The wings are more important. Yes, and I mean metaphorical legs. Okay. So what I'm saying to you is you guys need to take the helm. Okay, sure.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Yeah. Take the wheel. I'm willing, would you like to help me? The librarian? Yes. Or the bee. I can play the library. I can.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Alright, I'll play the bee. Great. Have you got some music for us, Bridey? I've got Bumblebees. Have you seen Bee movie? Oh, okay. No. Can you open with some?
Starting point is 00:03:24 I don't think Bee's a funny. Can you open with something a little too? Well, I'm a bit too. Yes. Like, fight other Bumblebees have you seen B movie? Oh, okay. No, can you open with I don't think bees are funny Can you open with something a little Thomas? Numony? Yes, like fight other bumblebees when they play by a Jerry Seinfeld I think the Graga audience the greater public with this isn't piss me off bees aren't funny Bees they're not funny ask me to do the alphabet do the alphabet a CD a FJ No, you missed one. No, I didn't. Do it again and do it properly. Do it again and do it properly.
Starting point is 00:03:48 I just want to test something. A-C-D-E-F. No, I wrote it and you know what you're doing. You're being facetious. Do it properly. A-B. Sorry, keep going. I keep going.
Starting point is 00:04:01 C-D-E-F-G-A-T-A-K. So what happened then? What was different about the first alphabet and the second alphabet that made Zach and Mark laugh? Wow, hysterically. What happened? Because I wasn't even looking for a difference. I was just, I was on my phone, I was tweeting
Starting point is 00:04:19 about my opinions about politics. Do you want to do the B in the library? Yeah. Maybe we could talk about the Bachelor one podcast. Yeah, that's a good one. That's a terrible idea. You're the worst. You said that's a good one. I changed my mind. I thought it would be funny, it would be mean to you. And then can we bring in some Thomas Newman? Yeah. There's a lot of bees in this. This is the bee city.
Starting point is 00:04:48 This is where he starts. So I'm the librarian. This is not at the... There's something about bee city. There's a lot of bees. See that bee right there? Making some honey for his queen. That's me.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Just a little worker bee making honey. I got a wife and two kids. That makes you chuffed. And that makes me chuffed. And they're little bees. Except for one of them, he's adopted. What is he? He's a person, he's a full person, we adopted him from Southeast Asia.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Set up your wants. Set up what you want. Yeah. I don't want much, a simple life. And that's what I've got. But no one here in B City knows that I once went on tour and it was managed by someone who is now a librarian and now I'm in debt to the librarian. Books for sale.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Books for sale. Well, I'm just a humble, I'm very in. And I've got all these books for sale, but you can borrow them if you want. B, can you, why, the crime fiction section is all out of order. Hey, you've been filming with Honey! Hey, librarian, this is a flashback, by the way. Hey librarian, I got an idea for a comedy show.
Starting point is 00:06:24 I get on stage, I, I, stage, I be rude to fat people, I be a bit racist, because it's the 40s, and I go, ah, say, ah, say. I got a hit every night club in town from Miami Beach to New York City. Tell me, you wanna be my manager on this tour, anything that you, any money you lose, I'll owe you. This is working, this is good.
Starting point is 00:06:58 This is good, I'm feeling, you didn't know what I was gonna say next, it was gonna be funny. Yeah, I haven't laughed yet. Yeah, but you see that I'm feeling you didn't know what I was gonna say next was gonna be funny. Yeah I haven't laughed yet. Yeah, but you see that I'm a bee So when we're talking about going on tour So man talking to a bee. Yeah, you do understand this thing. No, so I yeah, I get it It's a visual joke the core is not funny, right? It's a visual joke. The core is not funny, right?
Starting point is 00:07:23 Well, because in B movie, the core of that film, what makes that work is that they end up having a romantic relationship and the woman almost wants to fuck the B. That's brilliant. I'm basing this more on Ant. Well, in Ants, Sylvester Stallone, does he want to fuck anyone in that movie?
Starting point is 00:07:44 I don't know. I haven't seen that for some fucking 40-97. I think he wants some fucking 40-97. But it's, it's, it's, so this was a flashback, you see. It's not funny yet, but you gotta get to know the character. Yeah, yeah, yeah, this is all set up, man. You know how with jokes, there's a set up and then a punchline.
Starting point is 00:08:00 You understand this? Yeah. Have you seen the film Fat Howl? Stop talking about Fat Howl. It's in B movie? Yeah. Have you seen the film Fat How? Stop talking about Fat How? Have you seen B movie? No. Preven that B story is resonating with audiences. Can we do a new idea?
Starting point is 00:08:13 I don't know whose resonating. I think this is pretty strong. I've got some pretty cool ideas for the second act. Maybe, maybe, maybe whatever the new idea is, is watching this on TV. What? So we find the new idea, and then that new idea is watching the B, um, Liberian movie.
Starting point is 00:08:36 No, boy. On TV. That's a way to get both ideas in. You want to do Google Box? Is that what you want to do? Kind of, yeah. Yeah, let's do Gogglebox for the B movie idea that we have. All right.
Starting point is 00:08:51 Can I tell you something about now? You're on thin ice. All right. If you don't start making me laugh, I'm going to kill you both. Why don't you start making me laugh? Why I got to be the guest now? Yeah, why is he out there?
Starting point is 00:09:03 Because I'm the straight guy. That's been my role in the Donut dynamic for seven eight years now. You can be cheeky just like the rest of us. All right, boys, get in line. You see? That's the straight guy. I'll say I would like it.
Starting point is 00:09:15 It's cheeky. I like it. Guys, yeah. Stop making me laugh. I'm gonna go into the stupid old kitchen, get a knife, come back here and stab you both to death Okay, that's clear. That's huge. You ready? back into it
Starting point is 00:09:31 Into the B story yeah, yeah What do you say librarian we go the boxing? Better be funny quick Cut I knew brown would get him cut I knew all that to do is a bit of brown cut All right, I don't think there be ideas legs Why cuz I started laughing. It wasn't meant to be like funny, funny. It's not like a funny, funny thing. It's not like Zoolander or Fat Hal.
Starting point is 00:10:14 I'm talking about Fat Hal. Originally we set out to tell a human story through the perspective of Bayes and librarians. You know, it's a story about humanity. So it's funny like a Judd Apatel. Yeah, it's not like a Judd Apatel. I love a Judd Apatel. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:10:31 You like Judd Apatel? I love it at Apatel. That's my favorite way to dry off. Yeah, is it Judd Apatel? No. Maybe the story needs some virgins because they usually talk about virgins. Are you thinking, what do you have in your mind? I thought he needs some virgins, because he usually talks about virgins.
Starting point is 00:10:45 They think it's pretty much a virgin one. Don't let the 40 virgins, the 40 virgins. We do a college romp. Steve Carrell and the 40 virgins. All right, let's try a college romp. So let's Apple towel and... Okay, yeah, maybe something like their dorm. Yeah, like, let's go to sneaky peat, the boob movies. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, make it like college rules
Starting point is 00:11:07 American pie American pie. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, poor keys fat howl if that was set in a college Stop talking about fat. That's really fat. How it's funny. It's funny movie is fun. Yeah, it's got If if there was ever fat how the musical, our friend Jo Koski would be in it, because he's done Jack Black a few times. Has he? He played him in high school. Should we ask?
Starting point is 00:11:37 And he played him in both high fidelity, the musical, and... He joined me at Jo Koski, a superstar of the stage who tours with um he's currently from the rock he has now played jack black twice is this correct in well yeah he both him in he played and in the holiday yeah the whole the holiday the music jokoski played jack black in the holiday the musical so what are we asking if there was eye acting? Yeah, no, I got this. I got this.
Starting point is 00:12:06 I just played Jack Black all the answers, but not more than. Yes. Joe. Hey man, what's up? Joe, it's Zach Rewane from Antidonna here, mate. How are you? I'm all right, mate.
Starting point is 00:12:21 You're on speaker, the other boys are here. Oh, that's strange. Hey Joe. Hey boys, how are you? Joe! Yep. Joe, I've got a question for you. Yeah. Are you familiar with the film Fat Howl? What?
Starting point is 00:12:35 Gwyneth Peltro is in it. Fat Howl. Mate, what are you even saying? You know Fat Howl? Fat Howl, he doesn't want to date the fat girl. He gets a voodoo curse. Fat Howe. He's a shallow howe. Fat. Fat Howe. He might not be fat on the outside, but he's shallow and fat on the inside. It's called Fat Howe. Are you familiar?
Starting point is 00:12:59 Uh, not really. Joe, if there was a musical of Fat Howe, touring Australia, China and New Zealand. Yeah, Joe. Would you be interested in auditioning for the part of Jack Black? Fat how the musical Pardon interesting going we lost him The show is got better reception you're gonna get a better a show. He's got better reception. You're gonna get a better computer, man. I've got a feeling in my B. Your computer.
Starting point is 00:13:29 All right. What was their idea? Fat How, the musical. Stop talking about fat How. It's Fat How is from the directors of, um, of stupid boys. You can't,'t brother is it? Can't no the other one. White chicks.
Starting point is 00:13:47 It's not brachymus. It's the brachymus. Not the colon. You want to do a fat hell in the style of American pie? Well fat hell the musical and I want it to open with. With jude's not here. Maybe next time jude's in we could do fat hell. I've not seen fat hell. Does he've dated this podcast. He's not here. Maybe next time, Jude's in, we could do fat hell. I've not seen fat hell.
Starting point is 00:14:06 As you've dated this podcast. You've not seen shallow hell. No, I've not. Really? No, I haven't. I never saw it. It just never happened. It just was a little blip, but never.
Starting point is 00:14:16 I never watched fat hell. But I'll tell you what I do know. It's about a fat hell. And it's good. He is fat. So you're not wrong. Well, I think if we learn nothing from fat how, it's that we shouldn't judge people for being fat. That's the, that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:14:34 That's the message of fat. It's about, you know, beauty not. And big knickers. Oh yeah, there's that shot of him with the big knickers. And he's like, for right, who, Danny. Let's make this fucking podcast funny quick, guys. Is she magic in that movie? No, she's not magic.
Starting point is 00:14:51 But he says, all right, who, Danny, get over here. I don't understand. I've not seen Prada hell. So she takes off with the outro, that's all her underwear. You think even though the voodoo magic is changing his perception of what he's seeing, he would feel the weight. Guys. I'm a little bit bored You would feel would he not feel the weight mark? Can I just say something?
Starting point is 00:15:11 I'm a little bored of all this fat hell talk you started the fat hell talk But bro, it's trying to like keep this podcast on track and you won't shut up about fat hell Imagine fat hour once you were talking about Fat Hell before. Bro, then what did you want us to do now? Well, I just wanted to tell you this. I've seen shallow hell. The guy, he the reason he starts to see Rose Mary, her name is, is because she...
Starting point is 00:15:38 That's Rosemary's Baby, it's the horror film. Now you're thinking of Rosemary Chicken. Guys, do you wanna to do American Pie? Try and make it funny with American Pie? Yeah, I'd love to do a college romp. All right, here we go. Hey, I'll have fucking pies. Just last week I was fucking a pie
Starting point is 00:16:01 and Eugene Levy walked in on me fucking the pie. I want a fuck a pie and Eugene Levy walked in on me fucking the pie. Hmm. Um, I want a fucking pie too. I've never fucked any pies. I've never even seen a pie without its crust. Have you ever gotten a blowjob? Because you want to know what it's like to fuck a pie. It's exactly like getting your dick out. I've never had my my dick so many times?
Starting point is 00:16:26 Mark, you can borrow one of my pies, but you have to pay me back at some point $10 or get a replacement pie. You can both fuck the same pie. At different times, I don't want those sloppy second pies. The problem with the We Founder Funny podcast. The problem with fucking a pie after someone else's fucked the pie is the pie is no longer got the density to fuck the pie. Yeah, yeah, yeah, cause whatever it started as, so if it started as an apple pie now it's an apple cumpi.
Starting point is 00:16:59 And I don't want to fucking apple cumpi, but I'll fucking apple pie, but I've never had my dick sucked. No, you've had my dick sucked. No, you've had your dick. Oh sorry. So here's my question about Apple pie, the movie. No, you can't. It's called American Pie.
Starting point is 00:17:15 We're in and doing that style of movie. Yeah. You can't just talk about that movie. I can't talk about it. Well surely, I mean, what is this movie about? When's it set? It's 97.98. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:29 We're doing a movie about like late teens early twit, like late teen ages. We're all late 90s and they haven't seen Apple Pie. The biggest rose out call. Apple of the late 90s. Stop calling films by slightly the wrong name. You're telling me a bunch of teenagers in 1997 haven't seen Apple Pie.
Starting point is 00:17:52 All they were talking about was Scream and Apple Pie. Yeah. I feel like it makes sense that they're... I'm Mary and Pie. I'd make sense that they'd be talking about the movie. All right, so this is a world where American Pie has come out. It's both a rip off of American Pie, you know, those movies that came out in the 2000,
Starting point is 00:18:13 like it's a Euro-Trip, and also it exists within a world where Apple Pie, the movie, American Pie. No, the movie American Pie exists, but in this world, they ch giant, they called it Apple Pie. She's what happens, it's what happens. They change the name for the market. Yeah, so in this movie, a movie,
Starting point is 00:18:35 so this movie is a rip off of American Pie. It comes out in 2002, and in the movie, everyone's talking about the new movie Apple Pie which has the exact so important. Jason Biggs is in it. And he just a pie. The girl from Buffy is in it and she sticks her flute up her. Uh oh. Because she knows how to get herself off just because she's a band geek. Doesn't it just know to get herself off? That's the twist. All right, imagine, can I just say, I just want to say one thing.
Starting point is 00:19:08 That twist was ruined by the trailer. If you're a young listener and you've seen American pie, you know that. It's an iconic moment. It's like, Luke, I'm your father, is I stack a flute up my, and that was ruined by the trailer. Can I just think sometimes imagine being in that first audience,
Starting point is 00:19:30 imagine seeing that film at Sunday as Khan. Imagine being in the first before any of the trailers, before any of the hype, you're there at Khan and you're watching that film and you think, well, she's just a Ben geek. She knows nothing about sex and then that line comes up. You've not seen, could you imagine being that per... Where are we? I'm gonna start the improvisation scene again.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Yeah, that's okay. But what do you think about my... Okay. What do you think about what I just posited about Apple Pie? I'm just talking. Yeah, I know. I'm just talking about Apple Pie? It's just this kind of. Yeah, I know. I'm just talking about Apple pie. Hey guys, let's make a pact this summer,
Starting point is 00:20:10 which is July, that we will by the end of this summer, do what they did in that film, Apple Pie, and get laid. I wanna have... Are we fucking pies? Yeah, we're fucking pies, just like that movie Apple pie. Well, why don't we go in to the supermarket and buy the ingredients for pies? It's gonna be very easy. I feel like this is the most achievable summer packs that we've ever made. Let's go to the bakery. Excuse me Baker. Can I can?
Starting point is 00:20:40 Hey, are you seeing the film Apple pie? Yeah, one of my favorites. It's been to, what about Scream? That's also doing. Did it ruin for you when you saw the trailer of Apple Pie? Did it ruin for you that you knew that the girl from Buffy fucked herself with her musical Woodward instrument? Yeah, mate. The whole film was fucking ruined for you. It was a twist.
Starting point is 00:21:01 It was played as a twist. Well, I still didn't know Jason Biggs was gonna eluce his virginity to her These who I can't remember remember someone happened his virginity to her someone lost their virginity Me mean a Savino is it beta Savino just three apple pies by the way I just want to clarify what's the best pie you have to fuck? Well, obviously a deep dish fuck? Obviously, deep dish, mate. Oh, the deep dish, right? Is that a pizza?
Starting point is 00:21:29 I don't want to fuck anything with meat in it because that would be both necrophilia and bestiality. And you don't want any crumb, either. None of that apple crumb will shit. No, you don't want to crumb in your grapefruit. When you guys are done buying the pie to fuck, I would like to talk more about the film. Oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah But I do have one question about fucking pie. Yeah, um, am I fucking it straight through and then my dick creates a perfect hole through the entire pie
Starting point is 00:21:53 This is what we want to thick crust so that my knob is smashing the back of that is my biggest problem with the film apple pie There's two different There's two different representations of Pi fucking visually. On the poster, it is literally a Pi with a dick hole in it. Yeah, all the way through? No, it's just a dick hole. What do you mean all the way through the alpha? Like the tinsace. So then like, yeah, no, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:15 So then you pull your... So if you were to look at it from the other side. If you are listening to this podcast right now, Google American Pi poster, there'll be many different ones, but the one that I want you to find very quickly if you're listening. Go to mine, find the poster that is American Pie, it is a pie with a whole, uh, on it. That is what I'm talking about. But it's in a tin. Yes, it's in a tin. Is it count fuck all the way through? No, you're hitting the, you're hitting the bottom. But if you're listening right now, do it
Starting point is 00:22:41 right now, get on Twitter, get on some social media, and DM us right now do it right now get on Twitter get on some social media and DM us right now It might even be on the unedited. What's that version called Tom? Unrated unrated version go find and send us a photo right now of that poster That is what I'm talking about the second representation representation of pie being fucked I'm talking about in the film is in the actual film between Eugene Levy, Jason Biggs, where Eugene Levy catches Jason Biggs, fucking the pie, then what happens is you see the pie completely fucked. It's mangled, there's bits of the bottom crust on top, it looks like an apple crumble. It's not an apple crumble. But that's a little bit of a rumble.
Starting point is 00:23:16 Yeah, then that is post-pulling his dick out. So the photo that you see on any poster or any press footage that you see is not a fucked pie. It is an art department from the film Apple Pie who have taken a pie, cut a little hole in it to represent where Jason Biggs penis would go. A hard erect Jason Biggs 1997 penis going in a pie. But that pie has never been fucked. Jason Biggs never probably saw that pie.
Starting point is 00:23:40 That was probably a separate art department working who just made that pie. And there was probably a few of those pie So options for the director and the press team to use I love it. I love your passion for apple pie the movie But and I also think it brings up a really complex conversation about marketing for films and at what point does it fall? It's not a panel. It's not a panel. This is we're in the movie Yeah, you've got to show. You don't think these, my character is a guy who loves talking about movies.
Starting point is 00:24:08 No, he's a 19, you're old dude. You're a whole new, you're a whole new, you're a whole new, you're a whole new, you're a fuck Jennifer Coolidge eventually. But before then, he wants to talk about, it's a funny, it's a funny point. You know what, you boys know whenever I, whenever I ask you to trust me, it ends up funny.
Starting point is 00:24:29 This is gonna be good. All right. So isn't it interesting? What is the line, I think as well? Can I fuck this pie? Yeah, you can fuck this. We got three warm pies sitting here. I'm just gonna fuck all five of them.
Starting point is 00:24:40 How much for these pies, Baker? $8.50. Each? A total. For a three whole part we're in American mate You know it's the 90s. No it's Apple plus a tip. Yes, it's Apple and it's flour mate Okay, it's in the iPhone 11 Yeah, they're great a lot love three cameras on the iPhone 11. You guys seen the new Avengers with all the Avengers? I love the end game.
Starting point is 00:25:12 I bet Spider-Man is not Spider-Man far from home. Yeah, Spider-Man is no longer a part of MCU. Just stick to one fucking thing. Yeah, we are talking about the MCU. You're not talking about Apple phone 11 The iPhone 11 was announced this morning Everyone so we we've backed a few podcasts. So there's a few weeks later now We just heard about the new Apple phone 11. It's got three cameras on it
Starting point is 00:26:06 New Apple phone 11, it's got three cameras on it. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha why, like I reckon Max could tell you. I'll be like, why, Blizz, the widest fucking to shot you in the shoot so fucking wide, man. Total extra wide. And you want this to be in Apple Pie, the movie? Apple Pie, intro. I wanted to talk about, can I tell you what I wanted my character to talk about? I wanted him to talk about the fact that all the posters for the first matrix were blue
Starting point is 00:26:28 and then the second and the third are green. But even though the matrix is green in the movie and they never like retconned the blue posters. So now whenever you see all three DVDs together, one's blue and two are green. I wanted to talk about that but apparently that's not funny or entertaining. That's right. You don't think that's interesting? Max showing me a photo of the three lenses. We've got to really focus in guys. Guys, come on. That's focusing. Is that the idea?
Starting point is 00:26:58 Do, bro. Look, you're losing the room. You were in charge. You're losing the room. Do you mind letting me run this for a moment? Okay, pop on the music. Hey guys, I'm a regular nerdy boy. I love fucking Apple pies and maybe one day I'll get to have sex with Meena Savina. Is that a name? Meena, Meena, Meena. Who, the girl from Buffy? No, from Apple Pie. Apple Pie. Which one? So I don't know mean us me mean uh who the girl from Buffy no from apple pie apple pie
Starting point is 00:27:26 Which one mean uh the one he sleeps with who which one that mean us Google a lot of people are getting laid in this movie Yeah, who's mean is a Vena what Vena Savina mean a Savina mean a Savina mean a Savina me a Tara Reed Mina, Mina's Servena, Mina's... Mia's Servena... Tara Reid? Natasha Leon? They show him about Mina's Servena, who's also from the film Loser, and also from the film American Beauty. Is she an Apple Pond?
