Starting point is 00:00:00 This podcast is part of the Planet Broadcasting Network. Visit Planet Broadcasting.com for more podcasts from our great mates. Get A legends and welcome to another rip episode of the Arn'tedanna podcast, a little peak behind the curtain of our process and how we develop our characters and sketches. Today we drop the goofs and gags and just took real talk because tonight has six episode Netflix sketch comedy series. Aren't you done as big all has a fun? We'll be out worldwide.
Starting point is 00:00:30 We're all super excited and can't wait to hear what you all think of the show. So tonight grab a side Australian Pepsi Max and have a shaky little watch. Hello and welcome to the Antidona Podcast. It is the 11th of November 2020. Thank you so much for listening to the podcast this week. I know it sounds like we don't do this when you listen to our podcast, but we usually legitimately put in five minutes of preparation before every podcast that we do. Nothing goes out and it's just like, let's do it unless that is the joke itself in which we have talked about that for five minutes that we're going to go in with no preparation. We actually don't do that. But because today is a special day, we decided what we're going to do is we're
Starting point is 00:01:25 going to literally just come in and be sincere for half an hour. Quite honestly because today is a very special day, isn't it boys? Yeah, yeah, yeah, big day. The TV show comes out tonight. We've been working on it for fucking two years. We're really proud of it. We've been doing press out of our assholes We've been making web series to come out alongside the show to help promote it We've been doing everything we've been recording extra podcasts. We truly have nothing left at this point So we thought Take the hat off take the bit mark take the beard off never because he's a he's a beard I'm I feel that just the beard. I thought let's just take half an hour to go and say some thank you to people who have
Starting point is 00:02:16 helped us get to this point but also good job. Pat ourselves on the back. Not most important. Just for clarity, not to say thank's to say some thank you to people Like you said bro, they're very important. Well, what's the difference between a thank you and a thank you's? Well, you said let's say some thank you to people Is it what I said that's what you said why why do you always call me out on mistakes? That's really
Starting point is 00:02:42 And I need something in my life. I would never do that to you Mark. I would never do that and you shouldn't do it to me. Alright. Clean. So let's... You said that so stupid. Sorry, as you were saying, it's very exciting. How are you guys feeling? You excited about the show? And we're gonna say thank you to you guys, the fan. Yes. And listener of the podcast. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:08 And maybe just talk a little bit to, how long the road to here a little bit. It for me it really is nothing but sweet fucking relief because we've been trying to hold on to the secret for two years. I thought you were gonna to say sweet syrup. No, not the sweet syrup. That's more of a maple thing, and I'm not here to take maple.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Sorry. Although I used to live near this supermarket, and I was always like, one day I'm going to buy it. They had a $37 bottle of maple syrup. And I was like, I'm going to fucking get it one day. One day I'm going to go in there, I'm going to buy that. I don't have that much maple syrup. And I was like, I'm gonna fucking get it one day. One day I'm gonna go in there, I'm gonna buy that. I don't have that much maple syrup. I don't often have pancakes or waffles, but I was like, I, in my life, I need to spend $37 on a bottle of maple syrup. I never did,
Starting point is 00:03:56 and I regret it until my dying day. When we go to Canada, I always buy a couple of tins of it, super cheap and it's bloody real delicious and like real authentic. That's real syrup. Yeah, yeah. I recommend you guys do the same the next song way there. So how are you feeling? You're feeling sweet?
Starting point is 00:04:15 Is that what it was? No, I'm feeling I'm feeling sweet relief. Yeah. Because it's just so fucking nice to finally have it out there. Like you said, we've been working our R soft doing PR and every podcast and I'm just tired and exhausted, but excited at the same time and it's just really fucking cool to have it out there. And I can't wait to see what people have been so kind
Starting point is 00:04:39 so far just about the trailer and just about the fact that it exists. So what about you Zach, how are you feeling? Yeah, I'm sure he's really excited about the fact that it exists. So, what about you, Zach? How are you feeling? Yeah, I'm sure he's really excited about it. I mean, yeah. What? I'm excited about it. I'll hang on.
Starting point is 00:04:53 What'd you say? Nothing. Okay, so Mark, can I talk to you in the kitchen for a second? Absolutely. T-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t- Zach is here. I think this is some... I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm saying. I don't have the data to back this up. I don't have the information. I don't know guys. Sorry, no, I'm just getting some chips. I know you have a private conversation. I'm sorry, but I'm having a private conversation. I need you to honor that. Zach quotation marks. Oh yeah quotation.
Starting point is 00:06:09 Bye guys, I'll see you later. Bye Zach. I'm not a shape shifting worm. No, fuck. Why would you say that? The worm thing's bad. He's always doing this shape shifting worm thing where he's a shape.
Starting point is 00:06:21 You know what I mean? Wait, this was an arc for all. Is wacky will a shape shifting worm. Is wacky will a shape shifting? Is wacky will a shape shifting worm? Or are they separate things? Cause I was under the impression Puchant's wacky will was in the house. I should explain to you boys and to the people listening.
Starting point is 00:06:40 This is a great moment, a great opportunity for people to listen to our podcast for the first time. And I decided 10 minutes ago, I remembered, when we got our blue tick, remember when we got our blue tick? Oh, you got your blue tick? Yes, today. Yeah, it was very exciting. I got to Zach's head. He went crazy.
Starting point is 00:06:59 And you sent him... You sent him? Kukukrazy. Kukukaka. You sent him to a retreat, get his head straight. Yeah, that was the arch you did. And then, I mean, yeah, it was the arch I did. And then, Zach was replaced by a shape-shooting worm.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Yes, you remember this? Ah, vaguely. Yeah. So what happened then was a shapeshift thing worm took the place of Zach, like Mystique, right? And you keep describing it as an arc. But I remembered three minutes into this podcast, I remembered we never closed that arc. Zach never got out of his retreat.
Starting point is 00:07:44 So what I'm implying here is Zach, me, the entire time since the blue tick, it's not been me. It's a twist on the shape shifting worm. Where is Zach then? Where is Zach? Question one. He's at the retreat. Question two.
Starting point is 00:08:00 I think he couldn't handle a blue tick. What's a Netflix show I'm going to do to him? He's going to be a big doofus. All right, his question too. Yeah. Is you also do a character called Wacky Will? I'm not sure if Wacky Will has made it onto the podcast. My brain is fried.
Starting point is 00:08:15 But often in rehearsal rooms, when Zach gets very wacky and silly, gets the afternoon sillies. And that's not an anti-donna reference, it isn't anti-donna reference, but it's also something that happens to Zach around the end. Something you deal with most afternoons. Right about two o'clock. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Which is the time. Which is the time today that we're recording this. Right about two o'clock Zach would get very wacky, very silly, and then he would start to allude to the fact that Zach was dead and there was a man called Wacky Will who would take and Zack's plays and have been pretending to be Zack this entire time. Yeah, either or, which one? Now, that sounds very similar to the shape shifting worm.
Starting point is 00:08:56 In fact, it sounds like the exact same bit. And if I can just add that we've set this podcast up as it's supposed to be sincere and honest and thanks for the support everyone, what would be more appropriate than wacky will at 230 coming in and whacking that up, that just seems like a recipe for disaster. This is like for anyone who's seen the Paris Hilton documentary, you know, this sincerity is a mask like any other, in my opinion. And I think that what's more authentic, I disagree. Wow.
Starting point is 00:09:37 Yes, I'm sowing seeds of disagreement in the Antidona. And soon it does mean that sincerity can be a mask too. You're wrong. No, I agree. Ah, ah, ah. Soon they'll tear each other apart. I'll go out and go out and greet. We could see eye to eye, eye to eye.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Give me a hug. All right. Oh, no. What I didn't take into account is human compassion. Ah, it's the ones that's not now a human compassion. I know of human compassion. To answer you. Yeah, but I'm a shape shifting worm from out of space. Out of shape shifting worm from out of space.
Starting point is 00:10:12 Names of what I'm building. Out of space or outer space. I'm out of space. I try to Marie condo it about three hours ago. Yeah, she's full of shit. And now my house is full of shit because I haven't Marikondo since. So you're out of space.
Starting point is 00:10:29 I've got so much shit that doesn't spark me joy, you know what I'm saying? You're not going to the shops and buy it, even though you really want a sous-v. If you were to buy a sous-v, you've got nowhere to put it. Oh, you've already got one. I just put it on the bench, you know what I'm saying? Well, what don't you have room for?
Starting point is 00:10:44 If you, what appliance do you need, but you don't you have room for? What, if you, what are plans do you need, but you don't have the room for, because you're out of space? Ah, I would love a cast iron pan. Sorry for clarity. Mark, you asked, am I wacky will, am I a shape shifting worm? Are they one in the same? Maybe you're asking the wrong question.
Starting point is 00:11:01 Ask me, say, what is the name of the shape shifting worm that's taken Zack's place? Or you could just tell me genuinely how you're feeling. You're right, there it is. I am. I am. I'm wacky will. The shape shifting worm.
Starting point is 00:11:18 And here's the thing, I've been pretending to be Zack for months now, months and months and months. And then Broden said, it's time to be authentic. It's time to be real, well, it's time to be real. And now I will take my true form of a floating space worm. Well hang on, are you wacky? Will or are you floating, are you spoofing space worm? Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:11:40 He is wacky worm. Yeah, I've got question. Oh my God. This is, does the shape shifting worm is one of its forms that it's shape shift into wacky will? Or is the name of the shape shifting? The name of the worm is wacky will. And wacky will, I'm wacky will the shape shifting space worm.
Starting point is 00:11:59 Yeah, right. I don't know how, if you're a... But space, but only space worm because you're out of space. So if you would have moved to a bigger place that had more storage, you would just be wackywill, the worm. I'm from space. I'm from space and I'm out of space.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Well, I didn't know it was both current. Oh yeah, well that's fair. Because here's the wackywill, the space shifting worm, can't. What's been the most wonderful part of this whole journey getting to this point for you? Well, look, I was involved in the shooting of the series. I was floating through space when you made the series. I just came down to, I snuck into a, um, because I also have Alex Mac powers.
Starting point is 00:12:51 What? What? So what I did is I turned into a puddle and I went into the eyes of the age. Actually, worm? Yes, but a really big one. Can we, we're talking here? I'm the size of a dick. Can you well my dick you'd be Tiny it's a big worm. It's a normal dick a big worm I'm a float
Starting point is 00:13:17 Can you shape shift into flag penis? You know look more like a worm Yes. You're gonna look more like a worm. But a worm looks like a penis. But I've got the face of Raylionna. No, that's too far. Raylionna. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:31 But that's a choice because you can shape shift. What? The face of Raylionna, if you have the exact face of Raylionna, that is a choice. That can't be your actual face. I understand. You shape shift. But this is my true form. It only comes out in Act 3. You know what I'm saying? No. This is my true form. It's like, stop with the evil clown.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Stop with the Rebecca Romant. Just show us your true form. And then I emerge as a floating penis-sized worm with the face of Raylioda. Now, what just happened there? Ia. Now what just happened there? I need clarity on what just happened there. Did you just start drama-turguing a script that if you had written a script about your life? Have you, did you just figure out how that would play out in a three-act structure?
Starting point is 00:14:19 Because that is the weirdest fucking, I know I'm talking to a shapeshifting worm named Waky Will with the face of Raylioda who's from out of space, but that is the weirdest thing, given that fact that is still the weirdest thing I've ever heard. That I am pitching my own movie. Yeah, but just sort of in casual conversation. Like at no point did you stop and go, oh, if I was a film, if I would have taken my life and turned it into a film, this is how it would play out.
Starting point is 00:14:46 That's so funny you would say that, Mark. It's so funny you would say that that's weird for someone to do that in a conversation. And I'm the one that didn't live in holly weird for six months, make it a TV show. You won me over. I'm charming. Mark, what are you most excited and thankful for this Thanksgiving? I'm thankful for my best friends, Broden and Zach. And that we've been down this journey, this path.
Starting point is 00:15:16 I think Zach is playing this character. I think Zach, this is what I think. I think Zach is just tired. I think Zach's tired from doing press and media and now he's saying that he's a really high in thing because I live in a world where I know that things of fantasy don't often really happen, you know, but I think this is just a tired Zack, that's my opinion. Your opinion is that? That's a good opinion. My opinion is I'm wacky with all the space shifting word. And that's okay to disagree, because we live in the post truth age.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Broden, your journey to this point has been a little bit different to why I know Zach's. What was the most exciting? Why? Because you've got your life's different, you're a different person. I don't know. You've got a point out like like I you know, you're
Starting point is 00:16:05 a bit born. Maybe if I were to say what was the most exciting thing for you that happened then you were like moving from this suburb to the other suburb during COVID like I can't relate to that. That's that hasn't been part of my experience. You experienced. Yeah but it hasn't. Your exact experience hasn't been part of my experience. Yes I did also move from one sub-ad to another. He's stubborn to that sub-ad. He drew in COVID. We've actually all done that during COVID.
Starting point is 00:16:31 Fair enough. But you're exactly, and I'm not gonna doxie here, but you're exact experience from the exact sub-ad, you were in. You love doxies. You love doxies so much. I always say in doxies. Because I'm doxing myself so fucking often cuz I'm a fucking ahead I don't know how to use I don't know how to use my overlays in twitch properly, okay, but listen
Starting point is 00:16:53 What I'm saying listening what I'm listening in your journey to getting the show First similarity yours whatever you think is probably the same thing I'm thinking First, similarly yours, whatever you think is probably the same thing I'm thinking. But here's the thing, Broden, your experience is different to mine. I'm not listening to you, worm. I've lost all my respect for you, worm. Wow, you have got an attitude. I was about to reveal the second big twist of the podcast and you just come at me like, like, what's the second foot story?
Starting point is 00:17:25 What is a worm? Come on, worm, you wriggly worm. I'm a wriggly worm, I float around. You think I give a shit about you? I don't, cause I'll wriggle, I'll wriggle to American Eagle by myself and you pair of jeans. What are you gonna do?
Starting point is 00:17:40 You got the face of Ray Lio to worm. Yeah, I do, I got the face of Ray Lio da and I'm talking young, hot Lio da, I'm talking mid 90s Lio da. Good fellas. Good fellas Lio da, I'm talking pre-hannibal Lio da where we could never get that image out of our head and never see him as a sexy leading man again Lio da. What were you saying?
Starting point is 00:18:07 So I had the second twist, right? All right, you say it, I'm just gonna hint at it. I'm gonna say things like, you know, you're lucky. I know, you're lucky I know I'm the worm because when most worms shape shift to the people they're taking the place off. So you're saying I'm a worm, you're saying I'm a worm. No, I was gonna say the mark was a worm.
Starting point is 00:18:23 I care it. I am a worm, if you want. No, I am a worm. He's saying no, I was gonna say but not mark was a worm. I care. I am a worm if you want. Oh, no, I am a worm. Yeah, so mark is a shape shifting worm as well. I don't shape you twist. Not in the way that you do. I am either oblong or triangular. Okay. I'm looking at you right now. You go along here. No, you go be it. No, you got the shape of a man. Anyone in the Antidona Club can see Mark is standing there in front of his microphone with his dumb kind of head. You're watching the video. You're watching the video of this,
Starting point is 00:18:54 just looking at a man. I have said clearly that I'm in the form of Zach right now, that you haven't made it work. I don't think you're a worm, prove you're a worm. Me? Mm. Verably prove you're a worm.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Um, I am Sour. If you pop me in your mouth. I'm a Sour Worm. I'm a gummy worm. I wear a hot hat and I love apples. Mm, okay. There's a difference. I'm a space worm who I love apples. Yeah, okay. There's a difference. I'm a space whirm, who's all out of space.
Starting point is 00:19:27 I need Marie Kondo to come in and change my life. I tell you, we are three tired boys. I'm fucked. I'm fucked tired. I'm fucked tired and I'm excited for the show to be out. And I want to know what people think of it. I think it's the best I've ever done. Just quick question.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Just while you're tired and you're distracted, are you a worm? Yes, I'm a worm. Okay, I was a little, okay. He did a long pause there. You a worm? No, I'm not a worm, I'm a man. Neither am I.
Starting point is 00:19:59 Mark is a sour worm. No, worm lollies. No. Yes, Mark. No, I, I, I, I, I, I shift, I change. Is a cell worm no worm lolly. No. Yes I Change one minute I'm a word one man. I'm not safe She said you don't shape shift. I don't shape shift. I like to rap Don't guys we're back on the zoom you can't do things in time
Starting point is 00:20:26 All right, try your best. Alright, here we go. Hit it DJ. Worm beat. Alright, let me, let me do this. Oh, just do it. A bum bumts. Bumts. A bum bumts. A bum bumts.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Yeah, I'm a worm. I'm not a worm. Some people think I'm a worm, but other times I'm not a worm. And if you ask me if I'm a worm, I'm not going to say I'm a worm, but if you think I'm not a worm, some people think I'm a worm, but other times I'm not a worm. And if he has me I'm not going to say I'm a worm, but if you think I'm not a worm, maybe that's when I become a worm. Because a worm is another man, a worm is a man, a worm is a man, a worm is a man. But that doesn't mean I'm not a worm.
Starting point is 00:21:00 You sped up there, Zach, and that was unfair to me. Yeah, that was unfair. We've been doing a lot of press. We've been doing a lot of interviews with the age, the Saturday paper, the Minneapolis Sun, the Guardian, Triple M breakfast. Triple M breakfast radio, joy of them. All we've been doing the most media we've ever done and people say, how'd you meet? We say drama school. They say, what do you love to do? We say this and people say, how'd you meet? We say drama school. They say, what do you love to do?
Starting point is 00:21:25 We say this. They say, if this reminds me of the young ones, we say it's funny. We kind of arrived there independently. But here's the thing. Here we are. It's just Broden, Mark, and Wacky Will, the shape shifting space one. And we are, this is us. This is a way to play. We're, we're nervous. We are raw. We have put everything into this show and we are so. You didn't do anything. So proud of it. I have done every interview as Zach.
Starting point is 00:21:56 I need to write the show to show. You didn't edit the show. You did nothing, worm. I'm sick of you taking that credit worm. I called Tanneth Websterotto, our friend from, your friend from university, I said, what was that like? Can you give me some hints? I know they're going to ask me about uni. I got details. I watched the whole show and I didn't like it. I didn't care for it, but I watched the whole thing. Well,
Starting point is 00:22:21 you know, I was trying to help you, but here's the truth. It sucked. What are you hanging around with us then, you're a cat? It was really bad. It was far too violent. I got Anthony Hopkins was making some weird choices. It was gratuitous. You're not thinking about it. Let him see this out, Mark.
Starting point is 00:22:40 I'll let you think it's it. It could be world's fastest Indian It was disgusting. It had none of the things I liked about the film you were clearly parroting I did not care for it at all and I think Ridley Scott He's not a great director. I don't know why you got him in I Can't stop pause pause Ridley Scott, Anthony Hopkins, film adaptation. Very violent. Very violent.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Well, parody. So not the parody was me misunderstanding, so maybe it was a sequel. Oh, so then I would, see, I don't know, Ridley Scott directed. My mind went to Silence of the Lams, and then it's a of red dragon potentially, but that's really, that's really, isn't it, right? No, really, the red dragon was done
Starting point is 00:23:30 by that guy that you is bad man, a bad man. Well, I don't think it's within the, within the Hannibal, the Hannibal universe. Mark, you mispronounced the word. did I say Hannibal you said the name of the film Oh, it's Hannibal. It is Hannibal Hannibal is a Hannibal or Hannibal. It's Hannibal. It's a to the Hannibal Hannibal the cannibal Hannibal the cannibal and Every every scene is like oh man that would have to say example. I had this do you have any idea how few times I've had to say that out loud in my life? By the age of 15.
Starting point is 00:24:10 At most. At most. Hannibal's a name. It's a famous comedian, Hannibal Burris. Yeah, but I can, but yeah, but I. I guess also Mark, it's not like you talk, I am a time-time-time- done this at recording a 10 in the morning. Remember when you called the CEO of Domino's Doe? Yeah, that was a low point for me.
Starting point is 00:24:30 That was a very funny, very funny, but I wish I was that good of a comedian. Unfortunately, I'm just that big of a dipshit. So it makes, I take no pleasure or pride in having called Don May Doe or in saying Hannibal Hannibal Anyway, I didn't realize with recannibal the way to remember it is Hannibal. Is it cannibal? Hannibal is a town? I remember it. It's a little thing I realized Hannibal is a cannibal. I say Hannibal now and I'm like I've never heard that word before. I've never heard that word before. I've never said that word before in my life.
Starting point is 00:25:07 Maybe you're thinking of Attila the Hun. Definitely not. So the re, so I've made a mistake. In our promo tour, I went on total reboot. Don't say a word, you did nothing on this project. You don't say a word, say a word. I'm doing the tour, I'm doing the promotional stuff. I've done all of this for you.
Starting point is 00:25:27 But that's nothing compared to what Zach has done. What do you do? You are a shameless worm and I'm sick of you worm, walking around, parading around with your penis-sized body, fucking ruining Zach's reputation. And listen, worm, if I was at your house or a punch when the fucking mouth worm, I don't have a mouth.
Starting point is 00:25:47 You fucking watch yourself. I have a bow, I don't have a mouth. I have a black hole where my mouth should be. So suck that. So that is a mouth. That would be a mouth. It is a black hole. Does it go to your guts?
Starting point is 00:25:59 No, it goes to another dimension. Well, I'd still say that's the mouth. That's a mouth. It goes to another dimension. It doesn't, still say that's the mouth. That's a mouth. It goes to another dimension. It doesn't, it doesn't, I don't breathe through it. I don't eat food through it. Just where there would be a mouth. I have a black hole, a portal to another dimension. But do you eat food? Why would you not call it a mouth? Yeah, why wouldn't call it a mouth? Because my question is, is do you eat food? Do I eat food? Do you eat food and do you breathe? Is there another hole where they have it? No, I don't eat food and I don't breathe.
Starting point is 00:26:29 No. Then I have to say it's not a mouth. I do have to agree with him there, bro. Fuck! Jesus! I'm taking this to the Supreme Court. Re-count. Welcome to the Supreme Court.
Starting point is 00:26:41 No, it's in Sia. No, it's in Sia. It's in Sia. No, no, some, some, see you question. I feel like I'm going to faint. I'm going to be honest. I'm like, I feel like I'm going to faint. I can't be sitting all day. My back's all fucked.
Starting point is 00:26:54 I've got to stand. I just heard it from a friend. I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like,
Starting point is 00:27:02 I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like, I'm gonna say I'm gonna be honest I'm like I feel like I'm gonna I can't be sitting all day my back so fuck I gotta stand I Standing's the new cancer. It's hot. I'm not used to the heat. It's like are you wearing jeans still? I saw you this morning You used to wearing jeans? Don't I can't mark is it's not wearing pants. He's not wearing pants He stepped back. We're on zoom. He stepped back. He jumped up. Not wearing pants. A little titillating there for those watching the video on the on the Donna Club
Starting point is 00:27:31 but for for Broden and I just regular day at the office. I do a thing because I am Completely fucked in the head. Is I for some reason refused to check the weather and is I for some reason refused to check the weather and Dress for the day ahead both of you do that. I always dress for the previous day Yeah, I'm like okay. It was hot yesterday. I would dress hot today yesterday It was pleasant outside so I can wear jeans and like a long sleeve tea. That's fine. I need Yesterday for that as well. Yeah, I know, and I regret it, and I fucked up. It's really does that back to you.
Starting point is 00:28:06 Yeah, you can't. Twice today you've had excuses that don't actually stand up. You've had the opportunity to lie, and then you've gone and said a lie that does it actually work. It's like there's lie on lie on the... I'm tired! Right, I saw Mark this morning. I saw Mark this morning for 10 minutes. I saw what he was wearing.
Starting point is 00:28:25 I just said myself, big mistake. He's gonna melt. It wasn't too bad. It wasn't too bad. It was, it was like 20 degrees then. It was eight in the morning. Yeah, it was the morning. So, now it's the heat of the day.
Starting point is 00:28:36 How did you know he could melt? Oh no, it revealed to me to be a meat popsicle. Meat popsicle. Meat popsicle. What? Nothing. Like you've been frozen meat? No, like a meat-like ice-pull, but made out of meat-flavored beef.
Starting point is 00:29:01 No, like beef, a bone broth. No, like meat-flavored beef. I saw like a beef, a bone broth. No, like beef, I saw you more as a magnet. Like the same meat that you would use to make like a hot dog, like the off-carts of like beef-cooked chicken. Oh, hot dog chicken. Maybe with some gelatin. It's a fucking mess. Maybe this is gelatin in it, can't.
Starting point is 00:29:19 Hot dog, so I've been asking for a whole lot. Hot dog, my favorite joke in the series. Ernest, Ernest, Ernest. Ernest, you've had a way, can't. Ernest, Ernest, Ernest. Give it away, Khan. Give it away, Khan. I'm seeing it. I'm seeing it.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Oh wait, oh wait, people haven't seen it. No, it's not out on 7 p.m. Australian East and daylight. I told you. Worm, Khan. You said you've seen it and you said that you hated it. I, yeah, but then the reveal was I was thinking of Hannibal, which I watched on Total reboot, which I watched to talk about for the promo tour. Ah, more press, more reason we're tired. And I'm tired, okay? Worms don't do press. People do press. Worms eat worm food.
Starting point is 00:30:05 And I'm a space worm. I don't even do that. Then why? I don't agree with you. Worm, I don't agree with a lot of the way you go about your life. I don't respect you. But you know what?
Starting point is 00:30:15 You take waste, you eat it, you turn it into compost, into soil. Yeah, you're thinking, and I earthworm. Yeah.'re thinking of an earthworm. Yeah, you're not an earthworm. No, an earthworm takes waste and turns it into compost. If you put waste in me, you send it to a different dimension. Well, that's good too, that's even better.
Starting point is 00:30:41 Is your favorite video game? Earthworm, Jim. No. Why? Why not? I don't play video games. Why? Why? Give them a go.
Starting point is 00:30:53 They're fun. Game's where I'm from. I've been here for how long? I've been spent most of my time researching Netflix all this stuff. I hate you, wacky will. I hate you. Well, I'm not too much of a fan of you, I'm the Mark Bonanno.
Starting point is 00:31:07 He's a worm, he's a meat, it's posh like you. I'm a meat popsicle. Oh, this is too silly, this is too silly. I don't want it to be earnest. I want it to speak from the heart. So did I, genuinely wanted it. But you can't do it, don't talk about it. I'm being the comic relief. not saying. I'm not saying.
Starting point is 00:31:25 I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying.
Starting point is 00:31:33 I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying.
Starting point is 00:31:41 I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. I'm not saying. And to end. And there's been a lot of people along the way who have backed me and helped me and supported me far more than they needed to. And to those people, they know who they are. I say, thank you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:00 I my my my dream. I wrote it. Before I knew I wanted to become a performer before I became a comedian or any of those things. It was always to, the most important thing for me, the thing I get the biggest thrill out of creatively, is seeing my name on the writer and creators credit. That's my big big thing. So to be at a point now where I'm over 30 just over 30 and to have something not just. I'm 32. That is just over. That's early 30s. If it was 10 days after your birthday, your 30th birthday,
Starting point is 00:32:46 it was just over 30. Keisha Castle Cus is nominated for an Oscar at like 11. Never forget that. Go on, Mo. I wasn't a cunt to you when you were a kid. I'm sorry. Yeah! On the comic relief, on the goof.
Starting point is 00:33:04 To be at a point where on one of the biggest platforms Arguably one of the biggest platforms in the world 9 in three quarters 9 and 3 quarters. How how was everybody? What? Harry Potter Platform 9 and 3 quarters Yeah, but they get on the train platform Anyway, no not not much train platform. Your goofy can't. All right.
Starting point is 00:33:33 Your goofy can't. You goofy can't like a goofy. Your goofy can't. What an insult. What a deep can't. It means a lot to me that is The ad happened 10 minutes ago He just found the spot. He just found the spot and he put it in
Starting point is 00:33:57 Anyway, that's that's the that to me is like incredible to be what I would consider quite young, to be as young as I am, and to have that on something like Netflix is truly, I think that's what I always wanted from when I very, very early started creating. I wasn't done. You've gotta let me finish. You've gotta let him finish. You've gotta let me finish. I was so close close as well but now I feel like I've buried some of it up in a different way. He's been buried rude, bro. We let you talk. I did laugh through it. So I was a bit rude. You were both so rude to me. I wasn't. Mark wasn't rude. You were rolling your eyes the whole time, Mark. You're going, it's good on you. You were projecting. the whole time Mark you're going it's good on you you're projecting it's so full of shit bro I was rude no Mark I please great that you have that that's the thing that's the thing that I've always
Starting point is 00:34:56 wanted and I feel like you know I've got it and I think that's right I'm really proud of us and now yeah I'm a comic relief here. I'll wake you up. It doesn't have to be comic relief, Zach. I know you've set yourself up as the comic relief for this podcast episode. But I want you to know that I'm not gonna hold you to that. If you wanna be genuine and sincere, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:35:19 If you wanna be wacky, that's okay too. So when I was in primary school, I used to get really... I wasn't coming. You gotta let me finish. Come on now. You gotta let me finish me. We let you finish and then I started.
Starting point is 00:35:34 I started. Go, go. I gotta be wacky, don't I? Well, I don't know if you're being wacky or earnest right now. No, you never quite know with wacky will. But what I'll say is, when I was a teen, You know if you're being wacky or earnest right now. Well, you never quite know with wacky will. But what I'll say is, when I was a teen, when I was a young boy in growing up in primary school,
Starting point is 00:35:51 I went to a Catholic primary school in a rural area, coal mining country about two hours out of Melbourne. And you don't know how big the world is when you grow up in such a small place. Can I ask you a goofy earnest check? Yeah. This feels earnest to me, Broke. This is earnest and it's true.
Starting point is 00:36:13 You don't know how big the world is, but let me tell you, you feel small. And I would get really interested, really obsessed with things, I remember when the film Titanic came out when I was seven or eight years old, I got obsessed with this structure, this history, and then I saw the film and I was blown away. I got obsessed with Hercules because of the TV series, Greek mythology, because of the TV series and because of the Disney animated film. I would get obsessed with things, And I can't remember what film it was, maybe it was Jurassic Park or something like that. And I realized that that was all made by one person,
Starting point is 00:36:54 Steven Spielberg. And I knew deep down in my heart that one day I wanted to make not movies, not TV. I wanted to go to that very... We're very, very... I'm not seeing you territory now. It's super sincere, it's too sincere for me. I wanted to go to that place, you know, that idea of Hollywood, that place I wanted to make stuff there.
Starting point is 00:37:19 And then step by step, the world chips away at that. I reckon I reckon he's gonna be as sincere for as long as possible and then just goof it up with something right and get it up right and there better be good Zach because it's gonna be the end of the podcast so I'll just say now thank you so much for everyone's support and for being die hard awesome great fans we love you all and we hope you enjoy the show but take it away, Zach. Thank you so much. I just wanted to just very quickly also
Starting point is 00:37:48 mirror those comments from Broden. We're so excited that it's out. We really hope you like it. If you like it, please let us know. Please share it with your friends and family because we really want to make more of these. And now here is the final part of Zach's and see a story that I believe is going to end with something goofy.
Starting point is 00:38:04 So here we go. And you dream, you dream as a small child, a small boy in coal mining country, as government, successive government's ignore the work of your parents, of your grandparents, of your friends. You see economic downturns based on privatization and on really just negligence of the working class and you see a world shift. And more than anything, you just are reminded
Starting point is 00:38:34 that you are small. And I think that in time, I forgot. I forgot about that dream of going to Hollywood and making something that was mine, something that I could own. Eventually, I said, well, I just want to be an actor. I want to be in the Hollywood things. And then in time, I said, well, no, no, I want to act in things here in Australia.
Starting point is 00:38:56 And then I said, I don't want to do film. I want to do theatre. Theatre is where I want to be. Eventually, I said, I don't want to be an actor. I'm not good enough at that. I just want to make something. And in this moment, I see that I achieved a crime. Oh, he's just my little boy. Well, that little boy, wow, forgot that he could achieve. Maybe he's not going to go goofy. And I think if there's a little boy or a little girl
Starting point is 00:39:34 in a place that makes them feel small, and if they're listening right now and they think, oh, I don't want to do that. I just would love to be able to have a hobby to do something. You can do it. You can do it and it might be weird, it might be goofy, it might be silly, but you can do it and the world doesn't look like it's going to make that happen for you right now, but you can do it. Wow. That's really special.
Starting point is 00:40:01 That's gorgeous, man. Oh, no! You've been listening to the Aunty Donna Podcast. That's really special. That's gorgeous, man. Oh, no!
