Starting point is 00:00:00 Get our legends and welcome to another rip episode of the Anti-Donna podcast. On this week's podcast, Broden is away on business, but we're joined by Patrick and honor from Hot Department. If you're in Melbourne, you can see Hot Department at the Comedy Festival of this April, and I would recommend doing so. I'm a I hope you can help too. I know you're a valuable asset. You're a great performer yourself. Oh thank you That's very you I feel like you see when you see when when you're like, when there's gold, when there's the eat factor. I'm looking for the X factor. Yeah, I understand, but not that like the show,
Starting point is 00:00:51 the actual X factor. Yeah, for the dark irony of the X factor. Absolutely, absolutely. That they really have the X factor. Now, yes. Yes. Yes. It's often performers, perfectly solid,
Starting point is 00:01:04 perfunctory performers doing their best version of a song of someone with the X-Factor. Yes, and then when that guy did the cover of the Robin song, it's like, if you liked that song when performed by someone with the X-Factor, now I'll say it by a nice boy who sings good. Who's fine? Who's fine? Yeah, he's really good. He's fine, but he doesn't have the X factor.
Starting point is 00:01:25 And he wins the X factor. Now, sorry if that's you. We are, I'm- So if you're listening, if you're the guy that did that really mediocre cover of Dancing on My Own, that now everyone knows. And I'm fine with covers doing well, but like really that, that's the one that cuts the wrong.
Starting point is 00:01:40 Really? No, dancing on my own. That's the fly. Is the chair tourning an X factor? No, that's dancing on my own. That's what it's like. Is the chair turning an X factor? No, that's the chair turning show. No, I love the chair turning show. I love the chair turning show. My favorite is when Ricky Lee Coature was the mentor for SEAL.
Starting point is 00:01:59 Those SEALs like, look, I can't decide. I'm going to ask Ricky Lee. What should I do? She's like, great question, seal. I think you should give them another shot, seal. Thanks for your feedback, Ricky Lee. I really, I really, thank you for your mentor, shoot. I don't remember that.
Starting point is 00:02:18 I don't remember that. Thank you so much for your mentor. I believe it happened. I just don't remember that. I remember the Madden twins was the mentor for another Madden twin. I couldn't have been here without the other Madden twin. I remember when I was first starting out. I had a few coffees with my twin
Starting point is 00:02:33 who was in the band with me. Now, I'm auditioning for the role of Freddie Mercury in Bohemium Rap City. Good. My issue is that movie's already been made, right? Okay, just needed to check. That's all. It's already been made, but this is,
Starting point is 00:02:54 this is, they're just having another crack at it. Yeah, they're having another crack. It's like the Batman or like the Spider-Man. It's a soft reboot. This is the amazing Spider-Man. Yeah. It's a, yeah. Simuless amazing spider man. It's a, yeah. Simulah script, a little different though,
Starting point is 00:03:08 just trying a few new things. Yeah, yeah. It's not so much like, you remember when they remade the Omen? No. So in 2006, they remade the Omen. Right. But the reason they remade it is because they realized in 2006, a release date 060606 would happen
Starting point is 00:03:28 So someone someone in 2005 Yeah, yeah, like really late in the game was like I think we could make The omen again and release it on the 6th of the 6 of 06 and someone say that's great But we can't make a movie in a year We can't make a remag in a year and I like make a remake in a year. And they're like, oh, contraire. And they just did it with the script of the original. They just used the script of the original and then re-shot it with Leo Shriver.
Starting point is 00:03:53 What? Oh. And I remember the interviews, I'm like, why'd you use the same script? They're like, I think of it like Hamlet. Ha-ha-ha. You know, I was like, this is a great film, but I'd love to see it with that murky color grade
Starting point is 00:04:09 of 2006 and Leav Shriver, and we saw it. And it did good. It had the girl from that dancing movement. That's not an answer. Now, we're gonna start the audition process. I'm gonna bring in the first person who's auditioned. Now, can I ask, and you just tell me if it's not happening on up? Because I feel like Freddie Mercury is a very restrictive part. This is only really one way to do Freddie Mercury. Is it Freddie Mercury? Is it another character that's like,
Starting point is 00:04:39 Hey Freddie, you'll never make it in this business. Yeah, sure. I'm up for whatever. Because we don't even care. It could be like a producer that's like, hey, that's like, if someone comes in, they got a good vibe, I'll just write that bit into the movie. Okay, cool. Yeah, yeah. But are we auditioning them for Freddie Mercury? Or the producer that doesn't recognize
Starting point is 00:04:57 Freddie Mercury's got it? I've not seen this film. Right, neither have I. But I presume there's a scene where there's a producer like, okay, boys, you've got one more hour and then you're out of here. Well audition for that. So now I want to audition for the other members of the band who play a bit of music and then someone goes, what's that?
Starting point is 00:05:15 And then they go, just something that's in my head. Because that bit needs to be in the movie 20 times. My favorite bit. My favorite bit. Because that's how to be in the movie 20 times. My favorite bit is the art. That's how art is created. My favorite bit in those movies is the art. Keep playing it. And if you feel an equally strong bridge, just go into that. And I'll follow perfectly.
Starting point is 00:05:39 They're great movies. They're really fun. All right, so we're just going to bring someone in. We're going to see what they want to do. We're going to see what their vibe is. Maybe we'll get them're just gonna bring someone in, we're gonna see what they wanna do, we're gonna see what their vibe is, maybe we'll get them to do a bit of Freddie, maybe we'll get them to do a bit of a producer, maybe we'll just get them to be like,
Starting point is 00:05:50 what do you wanna do? Because if it's good, and it works in the movie, you're right at him. Oh, right, I'll just write it in. Because this producer is a composite character. You're hard on this producer character. Well, I just feel like I want to see different people doing this. I just want to see what they're doing.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, all right. We'll get them to do Freddie. We'll get them to the producer. And then we'll get them. And then it'll be like, any offers, whatever you want to do. Whatever you want to do. Whatever you want to do.
Starting point is 00:06:14 Just bring some people to the table. We are still looking for a Brian May. We're looking for a Brian May. And we're wondering. Yeah, yeah. But the joy of the producer character, because it's a composite character, it's not based on one producer,
Starting point is 00:06:26 but rather a composite of all their producers. Yes. We combined them. He's what we're telling people, but we just, I didn't fucking do any research. No, I don't know either. I don't know. I haven't seen that move, I haven't read this script. I think it's the same script. Let's bring in the first auditioner.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Okay, sure. All right. They can bring whatever they want. Okay. Come in. Come in. Come in the first auditioner. Okay, sure. All right, they can bring whatever they want. Okay. Come in. Come in to our audition. Oh my god. Am I just the sign of I'm working on this film. Hi.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Oh my god. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hello, thank you so much for having me today. You're so welcome. It's great to have you here.
Starting point is 00:07:05 What was your name? Sand. Sorry, what? Sand. Sand, mean. Sand, mean. Sand, mean. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Sand, mean. It is, mean. Sand, mean. It's white, sand, mean. Yeah. Sand, mean. Sand, mean. Sand, mean.
Starting point is 00:07:21 Is it, sand, mean? Sand, mean. Or is it, sand, mean. You're saying it weird. It's sand, mean. Saint-maint. Is it Saint-maint? Or is it Saint-maint? You're saying it weird. It's Saint-maint. Saint-maint. Yeah, almost.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Yeah, right. But go up with an inflection with an eng. Saint-maint. Almost. It's own word. Yeah, so it's part of, there's a consonant saint. It's probably Saint word. Yes, so it's part of, there's a consonant saying. It's probably saying to mean. Saying.
Starting point is 00:07:47 So it's saying to mean. Saying? Are you singing it? Because you're singing it now. Because you're singing it now. Is it sung? Because you're singing it now. You know, when I go home, we usually do.
Starting point is 00:08:00 My mom, she will be like, saying times, one time. Beautiful voice. usually do. My mom, she will be like, swing, tund, muntund. Beautiful voice. And then my dad will be like, saying, right, right. And what does your dad do for a living? He's a coals.
Starting point is 00:08:15 Yeah, he's a coals. He's a coals, yeah. Okay, great. I can't lie workers, in my opinion. I got us through this pandemic. Couldn't have done it with that. Really. And can I say what a pleasure it is to be considered for the role. Thank you, you're welcome. Saint-Maint. Yeah, almost, but we'll get that.
Starting point is 00:08:35 All right, so did you get the sides? Did you get the sides? I did. I got all three of them. Great. And I'm ready to go. You're ready to go. Okay, so the first part we're auditioning for is the lead. It's Freddie Mercury was a singer-songwriter in the 80s who's in a band. And can I just say what a honor it is to play Freddie Mercury. Yeah, not yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Freddie. What did you just say? Freddie Prince Jr.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Oh. You're in the wrong room. But, but, no, no, but you know what I would like to actually say. Well, no, I can do anything. I would love to see a version of Bohemian rap city with Freddie Prince Jr. Look, in the lead. I think that's an interesting idea.
Starting point is 00:09:22 I totally, and I can do that. I get that and I respect that. I can't say what an honor it is to have your respect in such a wonderful audition room. And thank you all so much for it's not many times like these you get to stand in a room and say who am I and what an honor it is to have such honor within such a respectable room in your work is. Thank you. Thank you you and I just ask a question because Freddie and Sarah a true 90s love story is down the hall and that's the story of Freddie Prince Jr and Sarah Michelle Galloway meeting and falling in love and the ups and downs of their career
Starting point is 00:09:58 yes I'm presuming you were meant to be auditioning for that. To be very honest, I don't know. I kind of just showed up and they were like, we're holding auditions, I was like, well, I've never done this before. Are you an actor? Have you a different thing before? Absolutely. I love acting. Trust me. Hey, hit it. Alright, let's see. Let's go. Alright, so I give you a name and you who you with and and you're high and
Starting point is 00:10:29 And I'll say that to the camera. Are you gonna say that to the camera? Yeah, yeah Hi, my name is st. Mained. I'm represented by tiny feet. I'm 473 00157 and I live in a sharehouse Okay, thank you. Alright, so let's take it away when you're ready. All right, just do all three or one and two. Yeah, I'll kind of roll on to it. And then if you want to give me no to something like that, just like we'll work.
Starting point is 00:10:55 And yeah, we can improv. Yeah, I'm so excited. And can I just say it's such an honor to have both of you do it. So to get to it. So yeah, thank you. Let's get to it. I'm just here to help. I'm not a, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, bit sick, but hey, aren't we all? Last night I had a dream that I was floating amongst a stage full of people. Isn't that crazy?
Starting point is 00:11:29 I don't know. Maybe one day. I'm just a lonely little mop man. Just mopping away. But if you and you and maybe you come together, we can make something special. Let's say it. How about it? Put it here, Pals, and let can make something special. Let's say it. How about it? Put it here, Pous. And let's make something good. We're going to be called the Brahimian Ramcities. And well, that is the end of the moral.
Starting point is 00:11:57 It feels like you had more. You're going to keep going. So I guess keep going. This is, I was like, I was like, I was like, I'm going to improv something because this is going to be so good. So I'm gonna improv something so okay, so um and well this is behavior and rhapsody and Where and we all have to wear shoes? All three and we're gonna Okay, and so let's all walk out with shoes to the record
Starting point is 00:12:22 You're not seein' bro, it's okay It's like, let's just leave it there. I mean, that was really good. Thank you. The shoes stuff was like. Yeah, that was good. Right, because I was like, obviously in the 80s was different, but when they had to wear shoes to walk to somewhere else, and then they'd be like,
Starting point is 00:12:36 yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I just want to be really clear here. I used to work with Mark and a comedy group called Antidona before he started directing music biopics. Get out of here. Yeah, there's a little thing we do. What's the fun you do? I'll try to check it out.
Starting point is 00:12:54 I'm mostly direct porno, isn't it? Yeah, I direct porno. It's fine, I got a cousin who directs porno. Oh, do you really? What's your name? My name's Jane Mate. Oh, well, this is... Oh my God, I'm so weird. I was like, because my cousin bearish was like,
Starting point is 00:13:11 I feel like... I feel like... Bearish made when she dropped me off. She was like, I feel like we've definitely had a barbecue here. And I'm like, I was like, 12, that is yours! Yes, yes. We are doing this in Jane's backyard as well. Yeah, true.
Starting point is 00:13:24 So, well, look, that's incredible. Thank you. I can't tell you what's the good. Two people coming together who already knew each other didn't realize. Well, let me just tell you, I think nepotism might play in your favor. Mm. Chopper. Thank you so much, Sam.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Just, we, um, Beryl does want her bag of shirts back. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sure she does. No, she really wants to. I get it. Tell us you'll get a bag of shirts back. What she gives me in my shoe. Huh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Well, um, I'll, I'll message the old text of that. Um, otherwise, can I say it has just been such an honor to be here. Yes. Thank you so much. I have both of you. Thank you. You know, and then we will see each other to be here. Yes, thank you so much for having both of you. Thank you. And we will all see each other later. We'll see each other in family and reunion.
Starting point is 00:14:11 And hopefully you get that shirt. Right, thank you so much. Muffin, wait! Muffin, wait! One of my foot's away! And you're always saying that. So I'll just be outside in the parking lot. So when you're in the parking lot.
Starting point is 00:14:22 I know, well, no, no, we'll call you. So yeah, it would be best for you to leave the property. Yeah, so I decided to do what's like. Well, we'll I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I I just don't see Freddie. I don't see Freddie. I saw Fraprin's junior. If I knew he was Mercury, I find you he was Beryl's boy. Yeah. I would have been hard no for me. I want to hear all about this shoe and this bag of shoes. Look, I haven't seen him since he was five years old, but my big concern is and maybe maybe he's changed my big concern is You could be on set. Yeah, and if there's any red cordial on set He's gonna be a lot. I was about to say we got to stop letting six-year-olds audition because that was out That was really yeah, let's bring in the next person who's auditioning
Starting point is 00:15:20 Oh, I'm so excited. Hi Hello, hi Who's auditioning? Oh, auditioning for Freddie. Hi. Hi. Hello. Hi. Good. Going good. Going out. I'm Zach. I'm just here to watch and help out and give feedback. I'm Mark.
Starting point is 00:15:32 I'm directing and, I guess, writing the pieces of kind of producing as well. And, yeah, doing a little bit of the costuming stuff as well. But the same shirt, and I think, doing all of the problem stuff and making the props. Yeah, making it. Yeah, like to have control, that kind of thing. Control, yeah. I the same sure isn't that kind of thing. You do a lot of problem stuff and making the props and making it. Yeah, like to have control, that kind of thing. Control. Yeah, I'm doing a lot of that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:50 What are you, what are you doing yourself? I'm Desro Flank. And I- Desro Flank. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Desro. Desro Flank. Desro Flank.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Desro Flank. Yeah. Desro Flank. Flank. Yeah, yeah. Flans. Flans. Desro Flank. Desro Flank. Yeah. Flank. flank. Flank. There's roll.
Starting point is 00:16:05 There's roll flank. There's roll. Yeah. Flank. There's roll flank. Here's roll flank. I can't wait to see all the wonderful things you've got for us after this short podcast ad break.
Starting point is 00:16:16 And we're back with flank. Flank. There's rolled. There's rolled flank. There's roll. There's roll. You got sides. Yep. Yep. Yeah, you, there's a old flank. There's rolls. There's roll. You got sides. Yeah, yeah
Starting point is 00:16:27 Yeah, you did And you know what you're doing Yeah, do you want to just jump into it? Do you have any questions? Yeah questions first? Did the the I didn't bring milk I didn't bring the milk. That's okay. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's what I did. That's a thing that I just are in, yeah. That's a preference. Is there any reference to milk in the script? Because we haven't read the script for the slides. So milk is, it's kind of like, you know, how people have different water elements, earth element.
Starting point is 00:17:14 I have milk element. So I need to be close to a glass of milk at all time. Could you explain that? Right, okay, in that, because I don't know about this earth water element. No. Okay, so I'm there. That's fair.
Starting point is 00:17:25 No, that's fair. We don't want to make your own. No, no, no, no. I'll explain it now. Yeah, I'll make some milk. I need some milk. We get some milk should be on this way. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Cal. Cal's fine with me. But if you just want me to do it without the milk, I'm not too difficult. I think I would love to just say it with the milk. It might be. Yeah. And also now I kind of want to glass a milk. Oh look, I could go a glass of milk anytime.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Why don't we just get a round of milk? Yeah, a round of milk for three of us. We'll get a round of milk. Round of milk. Bag of biscuits. Do you want, we have, I believe, we have those. We don't have chocolate flavoring, but we have those straws. The straws with the whole of the chocolate flavor.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So guys, into the straw is milk, but into your mouth as chocolate. Into the straw is milk. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Just more of a plain. Do you want one of those? No, I'm not.
Starting point is 00:18:23 It is plain milk. You just put that straw in the plain milk and then it comes out as chug. Oh, we're aware, we're aware. It's amazing. He's got to let me do this. Or just, yeah, you don't let me get into the kitchen. I'm just sitting back, having a watch. I just, I left my baby in the car. So it's like, oh, really? It's 42 degrees outside. I left a car on a road running.
Starting point is 00:18:44 So the key's in the car. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's five-year-old brother's big girl, but so... I've got a five-year-old Adam Baby in the car. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, right. Okay, well, let's get through this quick, because I'm... I'm running out. Yeah, time is probably running out.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Yeah, yeah. Oh. All right, let's go. Okay, let's just do the audition. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, It's off. All right, let's start with tomorrow. Too far. Let's start with tomorrow. Let's start with tomorrow, get you back to your hot box baby.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Let's start with the monologue. You go whenever you're ready. Yeah, if you're good looking to the camera, just say your age, where you're from, your name again, who you're with, your height, and then just something, just a fun thing, just like what you got up to today, and just something to remember you by, something like a funny little quip, even just a small antidote, something like that would be great.
Starting point is 00:19:58 So we see a lot of tapes and we'll go in through the tapes and it's good to have something fun. Oh, what about that girl with that funny antidote? Yeah, it's like, yeah, you know, like, and we see you and we know automatically, there's no way they have the part, but then getting to laugh at you is always great. So if we just put something, yeah,
Starting point is 00:20:15 you need that to sell it to the desk. Yeah, I will. Okay, great. Just go when you're ready. Hi, my name's Desral Flank, and I'm 65 years old. I only drink milk and when I first found out of my father's passing It hurt a lot it hurt a lot because I was I was by myself in a bank and I just screamed. And when they told him how he died,
Starting point is 00:20:49 which was a decapitation. They told him how he died. Yes, they whispered in his ear after death. I thought that's disrespectful. He's passed on. Good and empty dough, here you go. That was a really hard breaking time for me. I have three kids. I'm trying to make a living. I feel like as a mother I get judged a lot, I'm 65 years old, only drinking
Starting point is 00:21:14 milk and wearing clams as necluses. That's enough. That's definitely not. No, because I need my story to be heard. An anti-doubt is just a funny little story. Is it a funny little story? Okay, sometimes I pick up little seashells and I throw them off buildings. How tall are the buildings? Yeah, tall. Skyrise.
Starting point is 00:21:42 How do you get on the top? I fly. Yeah, I fly. Like Skyrise. And you get on the top. I fly. Yeah, I fly. I fly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I have, I have the ability to, to sort, to fly. Okay. So, to do that monologue off camera.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Yeah, let's do the, let's do the Freddie monologue and, um, take away. Yeah, actually, I have fun and, and don't think about it. We're seeing that, and, and just pick any, we sent you a few sides of the character, so you can just pick it. Whatever one you like. Yeah, whatever one have fun and don't think about it. We'll sing and just pick any we sent you a few sides of the character So you can just pick it. You would have won me. Yeah, would have won me anyone you want really Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, um and actually then go then go like the wife like Go find Well, oh, oh my god, Freddie Freddie Freddie. Well, oh my god. Freddie, Freddie, Freddie. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:22:26 What are you doing back here? Oh wow. I told you. I told you if you ever come back here, I'm gonna fucking kill you. And if you come in here again, Freddie, with that smug little toothy grin, I'm gonna smash your fucking skull.
Starting point is 00:22:40 I'm gonna fucking smash your skull, and I'm gonna kiss it's in it, because I wanna kiss you, Freddie. I love you so much. Don't leave Freddie. Don't leave me again. I don't know how I'm doing it. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Freddie. Freddie. Freddie. Freddie Mercury. I ain't dub to you. Oh. And that is the name I told you that you should have if you ever become famous in the Behemium rap city.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Oh wow. I really should go. My kids are there in a car. Oh my god. Okay well let's cut that. Let's cut that. I want to say I loved it. I love that.
Starting point is 00:23:20 I thought it was so. It was really good fun. And like even though you broke a little bit there because it's a comedy Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah One thing though is that it is a comedy. Yeah, we we want it to feel light. That was a big note Did the kids have water is the Let's go for another one. Yeah, I love to just go for another one. That's all right A little more fun and a little more fun.
Starting point is 00:23:45 And just, but don't lose any of what you just do. Yeah, I think so. And just, a little, probably a little, just bigger and smaller. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. A little quicker. To more? More bit.
Starting point is 00:23:57 But just, you know, this is screen not staged. If you could do it faster, but don't lose the pace that you had. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We loved, we loved like the breaks, the breaths, all of that faster, but don't lose the pace that you had. We loved like the breaks, the breaths, all of that stuff, but we need it, we need it a lot tighter. Just because we know the filmmakers, that kind of got us here. And I am kind of going, we know him. Yeah. No, we know him well. And he's going to want to, he's going to want to see a version of that. But do you know what I mean? Like I want, I want this is big emotional stuff. I think Greek tragedy. So no.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Come on, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. From the belly. Right, but it's television. Yeah, yeah. It's just a small, yeah. It's small, but with the eyes, really use those eyes. Just that, if you can just add that one note.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Let's see what it does to the performance. And when you're ready go now. Action take it away. Go for it Freddie Freddie Freddie You're ready. Oh, she knew that you were gonna come back home When I saw you there, I thought oh look at that. Oh, Bash is head in Cuz I love you Freddie. I love you. I I lost it. I'm sorry No, no, no, no, I thought it was good. Don't let's enough. That's enough. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, no, no, no. Don't let that worry you. That's not going to have any effect on whether you do or do not get it.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Like it might. But I think I made my mind as soon as. Yeah, when you fucked that up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You really fucked it up. Yeah, absolutely. Because I'm not like imagine if you did that on set. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Imagine if you had extras in the background and we have to reset. Oh, sorry. Sorry. I'll second A.D. Yeah, yeah, yeah, sorry, first A.D. extras. We have to reset all of the extras because you couldn't fucking deliver. Yeah. Yeah, because that's, I'm going to, that looks like that mistake just there, right? It's funny and as cute as all that was. That's, that's like what 3040 grand that's a lot of money that's 3040 grand right there because sometimes this is there's a lot of live action like scenes with big extras yet that reset they might have to reset well you don't fucking realize right is that there's fucking people behind the fucking camera
Starting point is 00:26:20 not only their people behind the fucking camera there's people fucking behind them as well right and they're fucking working they're fucking working. They're fucking working, all right? They're working, they got them arses off. And when people come in and they're unprofessional, like that, they're not doing their job. They're not doing their job. Oh, in the middle of a scene, are you ever seen a light fucking go off?
Starting point is 00:26:36 No, do you know why? Because they're there, they're doing their job, they're turning up, and that's your job. That's your job to turn up and to do the work. Like, we're so happy with what you did. And we're really like, I think we've seen like more than enough See more than I think you did a really wonderful job, but there's no way I would put that In front of a camera. This is a warning
Starting point is 00:26:56 And if that ever happens again This industry you're done you're done you're done get out I don't want to see you ever I don't want to see you again. I never want to see you again But we have seen enough and really strong get out of the house Really good job really great really really I like I think she's in with the chance a rich. She's top She's top three. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. I know we're gonna. That was that little fluff up But that's I think that's fine. That's fine. I think we're going to be a little fluff up, but that's fine. That's fine. I think we explain to her.
Starting point is 00:27:27 That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens.
Starting point is 00:27:35 That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens.
Starting point is 00:27:43 That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. That happens. We have we have they got four minutes to go let's do a quick one. Let's just let's get someone in let's get a minute now They're gonna probably put in sorry Parking me to sorry. Let's make this quick. Okay. Okay, you need to go quick as well Oh, how I'm professional Yeah, we'll rush our job for you. Oh, let's cheer chat to Zaka and just keep moving. Okay, I'm quite popular and famous, so I don't need this, but I do want to do with this because I have more exposure.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Who are you? I'm talking about... I can't. Come on, we know each other. Oh, we do. Yeah, we do. We're so silly to boy. I am being silly.
Starting point is 00:28:18 That's the only thing we did. We did small mice killing. We did small mice killing. Oh yeah, we did that's right. Small mice killing. That's right. We did small mice killing. That's right, we did small My skillet. Can I say a second? What was your name? I know the name in the film was Chak.
Starting point is 00:28:30 Chak. But my real name is Trushka. Trushka. And can I tell you that? It is one of the most unique names in this whole industry. That's why I got to get work all the time. So let's do this. Come on. That's part of it. Okay. Trushka loves to part. When I saw your work Trishka in that film, I called Mark and I said that Chuck character was so wonderful.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I felt like I was there. Well, what happened was we were shooting that movie and originally it was just called like, it was just like a kind of like a living room type drama. It was called like Escapaids of the living. And then Trishka just kept bringing in small mice and killing them every day on camera
Starting point is 00:29:12 every time we called action. And then we just kind of put it in the movie. Such a good story, you know, great. It was cool, and I was great. I'm speaking. All right, oh, sorry. Action. You've met come here all the time, little boy.
Starting point is 00:29:25 I'm producer, big time producer here. I'm making work. Wow. Now don't forget to put on your hats and string a guitar, ring a ding ding. Now put this down. I'm writing your song. Who are you? Who are you? Thank you, that's my signature look. Listen, it's been so nice. I do have to rush.
Starting point is 00:29:52 Good luck, everything. I love your work. I love your work. Also, Auntie Berrto, she still needs a shot. Oh, right. How does everyone know about this bag of shirt? Can I say? Yeah. That was not a word for a lie. There was a single word in that performance
Starting point is 00:30:10 of the producer that was in the script. No. That was just a completely new version of the producer. Yeah. And I hated it. You didn't like it? Well, I'm going to take your lead on that one because I was, I was, I was unsure.
Starting point is 00:30:22 I was leaning because I know Trishka, so I don't think I can be subjective. Yeah. You know Trish. And fucky delivered. So powerful. I was I was I was unsure I was leaning because I know Trishka so I don't think I can be subjective. Yeah you know Trish and fuck he delivered so powerful I was there. Wait so you luckily didn't like it. Then in that moment. Yeah awful. In that film. Good. Yeah. And if there's one thing I know about acting there is no such thing as an actor that is good at auditioning and bad at acting or vice versa. Yes, that's a very bad one. That person didn't audition well. Yeah, that means that they are not going to be good on the film.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Do you know what I'm saying? I know exactly what you're saying. I know exactly what you're saying. I have never once gone, pack that person audition well, they're going to be really good and then worked with them and they've been uptight and kind of just doing a monologue. Yeah, that doesn't happen. That doesn't happen at all. Let's bring in the next, we've got one more person.
Starting point is 00:31:09 One more person? One more person to say. I'm very excited about this one. Come on in. They knocked and then they left, but they're back. I'd be happy to go on. I'd be happy to keep auditioning people next by going to the wrong.
