Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. I'm Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, host of the psychology podcast. Here's a clip from an upcoming conversation about how to be a better you. When you think about emotion regulation, you're not going to choose an adaptive strategy which is more effortful to use unless you think there's a good outcome. Avoidance is easier. Ignoring is easier. Denials easier.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Complex problem solving takes effort. Listen to the psychology podcast on the. iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On the latest episode of Next Question with me, Katie Couric, I sat down with Jasmine Crockett, Democratic Representative of Texas. She's holding out the fork for her party in one of the most conservative states in the Union. I think that ultimately, who will become the Democratic nominee for president will be someone
Starting point is 00:00:52 that has been out there and has shown that they won't allow themselves to be punched and just say thank you. Like, they will punch back. Listen to next question with me, Katie Couric on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Just like great shoes, great books take you places. Through unforgettable love stories and into conversations with characters you'll never forget. I think any good romance, it gives me this feeling of like butterflies.
Starting point is 00:01:23 I'm Danielle Robe, and this is bookmarked by Reese's Book Club. Starting point is 00:02:02 What's up at your nation? I'm Joe. And I'm Serena. And we are back with another episode of Bachelor Happy Hour. Welcome back. How you feeling? To be honest, I'm feeling a little tired and a little sick today. But happy to be here, recapping Hometowns.
Starting point is 00:02:17 You've been feeling that way all day. Yeah. It's not, I'm not at my best today. I'm not at my best. You're struggling at the gym. I was. I did a good 20 minutes on the stairs, and then I laid in the steam room in the sauna for about another 20 minutes, which I was trying to sweat out all the toxins.
Starting point is 00:02:35 I don't know if it worked or not. I've been in a bad mood all day. I was in a bad mood at the gym. I've been like in a pouty mood. Yeah, you've been grumpy today. But I did a cold plunge before this podcast. I thought you were just hungry, which is why I ordered us Chipotle, but didn't solve the issue. No, I'm still mad.
Starting point is 00:02:52 For no reason. What are you so mad about? I don't know. I don't know. It's just one of those days. It's just off in this household today. Yeah. Yeah, something's up in the air in this apartment. I was feeling it last night when we were watching the great and I was like this apartment.
Starting point is 00:03:07 It's the feng shui. Maybe we just need to do a little cleanup organization or sage. Sage. Yeah, definitely. Wow, we're starting this podcast off and kind of a depressing joke. No, but we're not because the episode was fun. We enjoyed it. We watched it together and it's probably better that we're going to recap it.
Starting point is 00:03:24 angry like joey's uncle joey's uncle was a little angry yeah we've got some joey's uncle energy in this house today okay let's um anything else new before we get into the episode i did find the tucks joe found a tux for the wedding me everyone if you've been listening to us on this podcast or on any other podcast we've done recently it has been a struggle but we went out this weekend and found one and it took forever they had to keep going down to the basement to get sizes and I don't know why they didn't bring up multiple sizes at once. To get fitted for a tux, and I'm not talking about like this crazy, you know, set up here. We're talking pants and a jacket.
Starting point is 00:04:05 Yeah, not even a shirt. It took an hour and 20 minutes. Oh, my God, you're being generous. I'm going to go an hour 45. That was, it was totally insane. Yeah, we won't say the name of the brand because we really like this brand, but it was one of the most insane service experience I've ever had in a retail store. He just kept saying we're on their staff. I'm like, I know you're understaff, but just bring three sizes off.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Yeah, it was just incredibly inefficient. And so frustrating to the point I did have to walk out for the last 10 minutes. I can't be in her anymore. I cannot be in the store anymore. But it was all worth it. Because at the end of the day, the tux is going to look gorgeous on you. And I'm very excited that we'll check that off our list. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:44 So let's recap the episode. We have hometown episodes, Serena's least favorite episode. I actually really enjoyed it. I like hometowns. I never really watch them. You don't? No. Yeah, usually I do say, every time I go on a podcast recap hometowns,
Starting point is 00:05:01 I always disclose with hometowns are my least favorite episode. But I didn't mind this hometown episode. I actually felt like it went by pretty quickly, which I find rare for a hometown episode. I think it's just because I really liked all the families. You know what? Also, the families were all different, had different energies. And I feel like they were broken up, like, appropriately. Like it was like one family was, you know, like after Joey's family, then you got Xavier's family and it was just a good balance.
Starting point is 00:05:29 It didn't feel as like repetitive as it usually does. Usually it just feels like I'm watching the same thing four times and it didn't feel that way. Yeah. So first hometown, we are in Houston, Texas. It is Aaron. Aaron is the man who got the first one on one date. Charity had mentioned that she thought she was going to marry him right away. That's the first time we've heard her say that.
Starting point is 00:05:50 I think. I think she is physically attracted to Aaron. I think Aaron's her type. And I just feel like they had a good first date. And then it really seems like nothing happened from there. Yeah. And I do think, I remember after the first date being like, oh, wow, she's really into him. And then I just feel like we haven't really seen that since. And after our conversation with her on last week's Happy Hour episode, if you haven't listened to it, go check out our interview with Charity. She did talk about how. She wasn't a fan of him bringing the brain and drama to her. And I do think that killed their connection a little bit. If anything, it just, like, killed the amount of time they had to further their connection. Yeah, which always happens. Always happens. We're never going to have somebody that tells on someone else that the lead chooses. Maybe we will, eventually, if the show keeps going.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Okay, so at the house, a spread of food, the mom's cooking. We have catfish, fried lobster. frog legs it looks delicious um you know and what more can you ask for when you walk into a house you get a home cooked meal um they all welcome charity and i think the first conversation we see is Aaron and his brother and Aaron's actually trying to hold it together he's really emotional this episode you can tell his family really welcomes him and charity and with like warm positive energy and then like right from the gecko's conversation with his brother he's like kind of holding back tears and that theme kind of just continued the entire up conversations with his family, which makes
Starting point is 00:07:24 me think that maybe, I mean, they seem to be a very close family, but I mean, it doesn't mean they talk about their love and their feelings for each other all the time. And you could tell how touched he was when his mom and I were saying, like, how proud they were of him. It was a really nice moment. Like, I felt like his relationship with his family kind of stole the show of that hometown versus charity getting to know his family. I agree. I agree. Yeah, that that makes, that's well said. I don't think him, yeah, charity and him just didn't really, I guess on the football field we see it, but we'll get into that. So his mom and charity talk and his mom asked, would you be ready if he proposed? And she said no. But like, what is she supposed to say in that? She can't say yes.
Starting point is 00:08:10 There's three other guys there and Aaron's the first guy. No is the right answer, in my opinion. Like, I do believe there's a right answer to that question. And it's no, because she says there and says yes I would accept his proposal shows over then shows over what are you doing with these other three guys and I think at this point like she can't if she's certain on one dude then no one else is there so she's if any parent asked that question you've got to say no I wouldn't accept it it be disrespectful to him it be disrespectful to the other guys and I still have time left in this journey to get to know them so I thought her answer was perfect yeah that was the answer she basically had to give yeah um charity talks to Aaron's day
Starting point is 00:08:48 He mentions, like, we do Christmas. He's trying to lock her down for Christmas. I know. That's a very my dad movie. And I heard you say, like, oh, she's got a family too. Yeah, because my parents would be the ones to be like, all right, like, we're celebrating holidays together. And like, it's that thing when you get into a serious relationship of like, who gets Christmas, who gets Thanksgiving, like, who's getting the holiday. So I was just laughing at his dad already trying to lock her in for Christmas.
Starting point is 00:09:14 He's like, just so you know, we do Christmas. Yeah. So does everyone else. I was like, I'm sure she does Christmas as well, but no, I liked it. I thought it was cute. But it was nice seeing Aaron, like he was, you could tell he was really touched when his dad said he's proud of him. And that's kind of, yeah, it was, it was a nice.
Starting point is 00:09:31 I agree. The nicest moment was Aaron and his family. Yeah, it was really nice. This film was lovely. And then they go to the football field. They wear matching varsity jackets. And which looked really nice. I like the red.
Starting point is 00:09:45 It was a great look. It looked really nice. And then they do a throwback to the. Lauren Elena performance, which she, I met her when I did Dancing with the Star, so I believe she was the season prior to me or she performed on my season. But yeah, she's, she's all over this season right now. Oh, yeah. They love her. And it was a nice little throwback for Aaron B. and Charity to like their first one on one day. And Aaron B takes that moment to tell Charity that he's falling in love with her, which feels a little like late to the game, no? Yeah. And I almost feel like he felt
Starting point is 00:10:16 that way because he got approval from his parents and he was just feeling good on a high and he was just like I'm falling in love with you. I don't even know if he truly, I think he thinks it, but I don't think he. You think he got swept up in the moment. You think he's someone that's going to look back and be like, I don't know if I was actually falling in love with that. I think it was all the moment for him because that day was such a high for him. Yeah. It really seemed like. And I think that's not uncommon. I think there's definitely people that come off the show and say like, Hmm. I thought I was following in love. I thought I was in love and I wasn't. And then there's people that were like, no, I totally felt that way. She doesn't say it back. Which is normal. Which is not really a shock at all at this point because this is the third person to say I'm falling in love with you and she didn't say it back to any of them. But she leaves the date feeling good. And that well, great. Okay. So Aaron, at this point, he's still in the running. host of the psychology podcast. Here's a clip from an upcoming conversation about exploring human
Starting point is 00:11:22 potential. I was going to schools to try to teach kids these skills and I get eye rolling from teachers or I get students who would be like, it's easier to punch someone in the face. When you think about emotion regulation, like you're not going to choose an adaptive strategy which is more effortful to use unless you think there's a good outcome as a result of it if it's going to be beneficial to you. Because it's easy to say like go you, go blank yourself, right? It's easy. It's easy to just drink the extra beer. It's easy to ignore, to suppress, seeing a colleague who's bothering you and just, like, walk the other way. Avoidance is easier. Ignoring is easier. Denial is easier. Drinking is easier. Yelling, screaming is easy. Complex problem solving,
Starting point is 00:12:04 meditating, you know, takes effort. Listen to the psychology podcast on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I think Democrats have, for a very long time allowed Republicans to play them. So essentially, Republicans came up with a narrative and Democrats decided to play into that. And that only hurt the Democrats. I'm Kitty Couric. Jasmine Crockett, Democratic Representative of Texas, is not known for holding back. And our recent chat on Next Question is no exception. But when you hear how she got to where she is, her intensity makes perfect sense. It's just hard to imagine a world
Starting point is 00:12:48 where you don't have enough people that care to do right by people. And so that same passion that carried me through as a public defender that led me to want to change laws and thinking about the harm that will happen, not just to my constituents,
Starting point is 00:13:06 but just generally, like, I carry that weight with me because you've seen it up close. Yeah. Listen to next question with me, Katie Couric on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Just like great shoes, great books take you places. Through unforgettable love stories and into conversations with characters you'll never forget.
Starting point is 00:13:31 I think any good romance, it gives me this feeling of like butterflies. Starting point is 00:14:08 Visit apple.com forward slash Reese Apple Books to find out more. he's probably the furthest behind but he's still in the running all right let's go to college hill pennsylvania date number two date number two we are at joey's family's house yes which is a beautiful home beautiful home um we meet his dad we meet his mom but we truly meet his uncle wait so we're not at his home yet no we are at let's so we got to start off at the tennis court, which Charity walked in in like an incredible yellow dress. And I was like, I swear to God, if they put her in this beautiful yellow outfit to get sweaty and run around in on a tennis court, but then she changed into like a purple tennis fit.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Which makes you want to become a tennis player. Yeah. So they're at the tennis court with Charity Joey's uncle comes in. Surprises Joey and he seems pretty shocked to see him. I think genuinely shocked to see him. Like, really, what are you doing here? I know. So Joey's uncle shows up.
Starting point is 00:15:18 Joey is literally shocked to see him. He definitely didn't know he was coming. I don't know if it was like full-blown happiness. Like, if I'm Joey, I'm kind of like, uncle, like, let me have this one-on-one time with charity. I'll see you later tonight at dinner. But they had a cute little like tennis match moment. They were all playing tennis together. I thought it was all fine up until the point where Joey's uncle.
Starting point is 00:15:40 kept insinuating, like, do you have the real Joey here? Yeah. And then nothing really to back it up with. But you know what? Even their conversation on the tennis court, before we even knew what direction the date was heading, you and I were kind of like, why does this conversation feel so awkward? Yeah. Like, it did.
Starting point is 00:15:59 The conversation between Joey, Charity, and Uncle Joe felt a little awkward. And then it immediately followed with him making that statement of like, I don't know if this is the real Joey that charity is getting to see. Yeah, I think Joey himself was just like worried about what my uncle could say. I want to know more about his relationship with his uncle. I know we talked a little bit about it when he was on the podcast, but I want to know like how closer him and his uncle, how well does his uncle know him? Because his uncle had some pretty strong claims on this date that very well could have impacted his relationship with charity. Well, I think he knows. I mean, he definitely knows him pretty well. I mean, Joey,
Starting point is 00:16:40 said he's basically my mentor yeah he said that on the show so he knows very well i just think i it just came across the me that joey's uncle was worried that joey is too nice of a guy and not outspoken enough in a relationship and i felt like that was the point he wanted to get across and it just seemed unnecessary yeah i think i more read it as joey's uncle says like and maybe this has been an issue with Joey in relationships in the past of like being a people pleaser and acting in a way that that person wants them to act and saying the things that that person wants him to say but maybe that's not really how he truly feels or how he is but I mean I don't know if the uncle knows this but like that's like the worst doubt you can put in Charity's mind is that this is not really who Joey is and like you might not find that out on this show. You might leave the show and find out he's a totally different person. And I think we really saw how much that impacted her because when they were saying goodbye, it was like not a happy moment.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Like she was saying, you know, I'm going to miss you. I'm going to miss you. But her tears felt like they were coming from a place of like fear and anxiety. Joey was maybe not in the lead. Maybe I felt a little behind Doughton in their relationships. I felt like after. this hometown, it dropped his chances significantly. Yeah, I'm curious to see if they have a conversation about it next week during
Starting point is 00:18:19 Fantasy Suites, which I'm sure they will, because they obviously, she was going into that day being like, if this goes great, I'm going to tell Joey I'm falling in love with him. And she left bawling her eyes out. So I feel like that conversation is going to have to happen. Like, it's just so hard, though, because like for him to say like, yes, this is me, this is the real me. but like you can't prove it you know what i mean like you can't really really know that no matter how hard he says it and for his uncle who knows him really well to say that to her and say like this isn't the real joey like who do you believe i feel for charity she's in a really hard spot
Starting point is 00:18:59 with joey i'm curious to see how this affects the relationship because it's definitely not just going to go away yeah yeah i agree um and that's yeah that's kind of how that ended so it was the first it was the first time all season we saw her relationship with Joey kind of like oh this is this this is on the rocks now yeah because it's been smooth sailing this whole time he's definitely been in like a frontrunner one of the strongest relationships the whole time I just wanted to shake Joey before she left and be like Joey ask her why she's crying like well I also feel like they may have had that conversation because I feel like he kind of hinted at it a little bit um also before we do get off this topic.
Starting point is 00:19:41 Um, charity, didn't charity tell Joey's sister that she was falling in love with him? Yes. Yeah. Because she went into the day being like, I'm going to say it. And she did say it to the sister who asked. Also, his sister is beautiful. They kept, they kept, I actually wrote that down that they kept, um, like we kept seeing little clips, little shots of Joey's sister.
Starting point is 00:19:59 I'm like, oh, she's getting casted on the show. I was going to say she's single. She looks like a contestant on the bachelor. Yeah. Um, but yeah. So she said it to his. sister, but she didn't end up saying it to him. But we know she is falling in love with him.
Starting point is 00:20:13 We know that her feelings for him are really strong. Oh, yeah. I think she went into that hometown the most optimistic and left like, I mean, she left crying. Yeah. And it was weird, too, because it was like, is she, and it was like, it was kind of played off like she was, she tried to play it off like she was crying because she's going to miss him. But there was no way that's, it didn't feel like that's why she was crying. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I feel like we're going to see like part two of that situation at Fantasy Suites.
Starting point is 00:20:44 Yeah, absolutely. Because he does. He does make it through. Yeah. But we'll talk about that at the end. Then let's go right now. We're going to go to Cleveland, Ohio. We have Xavier's hometown, which Xavier is, I really like Xavier. To me, he is like genuinely himself. I think he's funny. like he's got a lot of like he knits and he's a he's a scientist like he's it's great like i like Xavier is somebody that like every single week I find him more and more interesting don't you yes not really I don't know I wouldn't mean by more and more interesting I just I just I don't know I just he's growing on me every week I guess okay yeah maybe not more interesting but yes he He grows on me.
Starting point is 00:21:35 His personality is growing on me every week. I agree because he does have kind of a more like chill layback personality. So it took a while to really see who he is and see his personality come out. Yeah, I like him too. I think that he is someone that is like authentically himself. He just seems like a very easygoing guy. He's an interesting person. But I just, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:59 I don't know about their connection. I just feel like. Well, every time charity is. going into a date or anything one-on-one with Xavier, it seems like she's like ready to call it quits. And at the end, it's always like she's just like, she's like, never mind. This has God great. Yeah, I feel like he's always surprising her. And we meet, we meet Xavier's family, his mom who was so sweet and she has MS, which is just such a terrible, a terrible disease. You know, and you, you know, I really feel for them. But they were just a lovely family. And they
Starting point is 00:22:34 the sister, the dad, and the mom were kind of like, yeah, Xavier is, he's ready for marriage. Yeah, it's so funny because the biggest concern charity had was that he was not ready, that he reminded her of her ex-boyfriend and just like not sure if he was in that place. And he is like, I think he's one of the younger guys in the group. He definitely gives off kind of like, chill, like, I'm not taking anything too seriously energy. Like, obviously he does. He's serious with his family. He's serious about his work. all of these things. But like he does give off that kind of like playboy energy. Like I don't know what
Starting point is 00:23:08 it is. I think maybe he's just like a flirt. But his family is like, oh no, he is ready. Like he's ready for marriage. He's had serious girlfriends. He's ready to be a dad. He's excited to be a dad. Like his family were the ultimate hype group. His sister, amazing wing woman. Like they, I feel like really used all of charity's fears, at least for this date. And I like Xavier too. Yeah. I agree. And I think she she leaves the date with Xavier and is like yeah like I'm into this guy again he got me every time he gets her every time he's been like the ultimate underdog of this season yeah yep and then and it was like kind of opposite opposite with Joey this week yes I feel like the date for Xavier like made him have a stronger connection with charity and like eased her worries whereas
Starting point is 00:23:58 the date with Joey almost like brought on worries that weren't there before. Yeah, absolutely. I'm Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, host of the Psychology Podcast. Okay, so then we go to Fresno, California to meet Doughton's family, which it starts off with charity saying like she's disappointed that Doughton's parents couldn't make it I totally understand them not coming for it and I totally understand her being like these could be my future in-laws it's kind of important like I meet them
Starting point is 00:27:30 and they meet me so it was such a nice surprise that they showed up yeah well first she meets she meets the rest of the family and she meets the grandma who just had this great personality she's an angel I love her yeah and you could just see like how tight-knit his whole family was and like they like welcome Charity had to feel so comfortable, like, just in that space because they were so much like, oh, you're, you're with us now, you know?
Starting point is 00:27:57 Yeah, they really embraced her, like, with open arms. Yeah, it was, it was great. I mean, I feel like, I'm trying to think, oh, so they did a little bit of a different format. They did their family time during the day, and then they did their, like, intimate one-on-one time at night, which I thought was very cute. in the way that he did like the drive-in movie and the movie with um like baby photos of them it was just so cute it was very thoughtful yeah well let's uh i i agree but let's talk about dotten's parents real quick because they uh we just like kind of skimmed over that but they end up showing up and he i wrote down he's like he's so happy my parents showed up but it does come with his challenges oh yeah he did say that my mom is my mom is very critical critical. And his mom, she couldn't, she wasn't critical at all of charity. At least from what we saw, no, but she, like, loved her, which is great. Yeah. And she's like, I'm going to throw a, don't worry, I'm going to throw a massive wedding for you. And we're going to have a great time. Yeah, it was awesome. But yeah, then we jumped to the end portion of the hometown. And yeah, it's the cute date. And Don and her take a thunderbird up to the drive-in movies and watch a movie and see, baby pictures of themselves, which I find always so weird.
Starting point is 00:29:21 Why? I don't know. I just kind of wish I'm like, I wish you were just watching a regular movie. Yeah, but it was like something special for them to like experience together, I guess. And like he obviously put more time and effort into that than he would have if he just threw on like Titanic. Yeah. Yeah. I agree.
Starting point is 00:29:37 I agree. And that kind of, that wraps up the hometowns. And then we see, um, we go to this like hangar where, um, we, um, we go to this like hangar where, um, We do the row ceremony and all four guys are there. Oh, my God. Wait. Why do they? So before that happened, they did a chat with Charity and Jesse.
Starting point is 00:29:58 Why do they keep putting Jesse's age? Yeah, I know. They keep putting his bio as if he's a contestant. I'm like, show this man some respect. It literally is like Jesse Palmer, age 40, whatever host as like occupation. Just in case you forgot, Jesse is in his mid 40s. yeah it's it is it's weird it's just so funny to me like I'm like did they used to do have they done this before is this new I yeah I don't think they have they've been they've been Jesse's age has been there the whole time because I think I said something like episode one no this season I know but like over the years I feel like they did it for Zach season too yeah um but I don't know I mean we'd have to we'd have to go back and uh we'd have to go back and check but let's uh also I have to comment on charity's outfits
Starting point is 00:30:46 This is the outfit she was most excited about. And she said this was her favorite outfit. And I agree. This outfit was so good. Oh, my God. This dress was amazing. Was this which dress was this? The black one?
Starting point is 00:30:59 If I could get rid of all of my wedding dresses that I got for our wedding and just wear that dress in white, I absolutely would for the whole weekend, for all of our events. It was so good. Jeez. That's a, that's a bold statement right there. Well, I mean, I can make it because I know it's not going to happen. You just dumped all your wedding dresses. That would be crazy.
Starting point is 00:31:18 But I really love this dress. It looked amazing on her. Okay. So then we're at the Rose Ceremony and we have four guys and she ends up, we're not sure. It's really between Doughton gets a rose, Xavier gets a rose. And it's really between Joey and Aaron. And I honestly, usually I'm like, I know who she's giving a rose to. I really didn't know.
Starting point is 00:31:43 Yeah. And she ended up not giving. It's Aaron giving the rose to Joey, and she's really upset. She, when he leaves, she's like, I think I made a huge mistake. I can't tell. I think, like, Aaron's upset. I just, I don't know. I just felt like it never, their relationship, in my opinion, never really, like, got there.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Yeah, I don't know. Just like, I definitely saw a really strong connection with them on their first date at the beginning of the season. I just felt like at least as a viewer, it did look like it kind of tapered off. And I do think the brain drama had a little bit to do with that, but I also just think she had stronger connections with other people. I was really surprised by how this breakup went. I'm always shocked when the lead doesn't have like something prepared, like almost like a little breakup paragraph of like,
Starting point is 00:32:40 this is what I want to say to you. I know they're going into a breakup. Like when the person that's getting, getting dumped doesn't know what to say like I get it they're in shock but when charity was like bawling her eyes out understandably like she clearly has a really hard time breaking up with people and make sense like she cares about them she doesn't want to hurt their feelings but she couldn't give him an explanation of why she was doing it and that really threw me off because I was like but you've got to have a reason and I think she was falling in love with him I don't know
Starting point is 00:33:14 even if the reason is just like, I have stronger feelings with other people. Maybe, maybe she went in there, though, truly not. Not knowing what she was going to do in the moment. Yeah. Like made the decision on the spot. Yeah. Yeah, maybe. Because that would kind of make a little more sense to me.
Starting point is 00:33:27 Yeah. And she did give kind of a speech at the beginning, basically say, I've been going back and forth on this. I really didn't know what to do here. I mean, if I had, if I, if I were to take just a wild guess, I would say there's a good chance. She was probably like, I'm going to send Joey home and then saw Joey and probably felt. Like, no, maybe it's too soon and flip to Aaron, yeah. Wow. Because the end, the end portion of Aaron's date, the only one that ended rough was Joey's date.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Yes, Aaron's went really well. And so did Xavier's and so did Doughton's. So if she's going based on that week, like Joey had the worst date. But I just think it's so hard. Like they've had such a steady connection this whole time. I would have been really surprised if she sent him home. Yeah. Yeah, I agree.
Starting point is 00:34:14 I agree just after that, especially because it wasn't like, it really was, it was the whole uncle situation. It wasn't like it was anything that Joey actually did. Yeah. And you know what? We see the promo for next week and we've seen in the Super Teaser midway through the season that someone comes back and you and I both thought it was an ex. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:35 But now after watching the breakup between Aaron B and charity and seeing, I feel like she left him with no closure. And I feel like if I'm sitting there and someone's crying. saying like I don't know if I'm making the right decision like I don't know if I should be doing this and I'm like in love with that person like maybe I'll go back and try to see if they made a mistake you know if they have any regrets I feel like it could be Aaron or Nehemiah I wouldn't I wouldn't be mad to see him again either I completely agree I think I I I I don't they get me every year I think with this because it probably is Nehemiah and it's probably not a big thing but I think yeah at first I was
Starting point is 00:35:14 is it an X but I think it might be Aaron because it does make sense because if Aaron is now being told like hey like she might be pondering this like she she may have made a mistake like he is probably like okay I'll I'll take one more last shot yeah so we'll see that's that's coming up next week but I think that wraps this episode and later in the week we have Jared Fried coming from The Bachelor. So yeah, that wraps everything. Make sure to subscribe if you're not already because we are dropping our exclusive interview with Jared and hearing more about his story later this week.
