Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour.
I am Rachel and filling in for charity today.
We have the one and only golden Bachelorette Joan.
Hi, Rachel.
It's so good to be back.
Today we have another fabulous Bachelorette.
Everyone, please welcome Ashley Rosenbaum.
Hi, Ashley, welcome finally to Happy Hour.
Yay.
You guys are so sweet to have me on and even think about me.
I thought I was like long lost in the clouds and the past.
Absolutely not.
You're an icon.
You will never fade away.
Believe me.
I remember your season perfectly.
You too.
That's so sweet.
Thanks, guys.
You made me, you know, you're boosting my self-esteem this morning.
I don't think you should need it, but okay, we'd love to do that.
Ashley, you look fantastic.
I just want the listeners to know this is your first time on Happy Hour.
I know that you are so beloved by Bachelor Nation.
They love you and your family and your story.
And we're going to get into so much today.
But we're going to start out because we just saw you in person at the Bachelorette reunion.
I know we had so much fun.
It was so nice to see everybody.
That was so fun.
I got to meet so many people.
never met before, but I feel like I'm old. So I've been watching you guys for years. I feel like
I'm your mother. And I finally got to be in the room with all these people that I felt like I
know. And people say that to me all the time. I feel like I know you. But I really do feel like that
about you guys. So now I finally do. It was such a privilege. How did you feel when you got the call
saying, can you come back and join this? I was really excited. Honestly, like I feel like when you
watch the show or when you hear about somebody, whether it's through social media,
or on the actual show.
I think you get a glimpse of what you think they're like.
And then when you meet them in person,
there's just so much more to each person than what you see.
And I just, I don't know,
that's what made me really excited to go back
and meet everybody that I hadn't met before.
And then just kind of rekindle friendships
and chat about things that we've all been through
and just kind of like catch up and just, you know,
have a little escape from my reality,
which is very crazy in my real life.
and just kind of like go back to that that land where it was magical right when we were on the show
it was like it was almost like this escape from reality right like I don't just feel like it felt
to me when I got the call like we were going to go on a vacation with a like a girl's strip
I know it did feel like a girl strip girl strip so I was I was really happy to go to that I was
able to go it is so amazing to have you I think you truly have like one of the most memorable seasons
everyone, especially Charity, was so excited for you to be there.
And I just have to add this in for Charity, my co-host.
You are her number one guest that she's wanted on this podcast.
She absolutely loves you in your season.
Wait, I need to know more about this.
Like, what is she?
We've got to bring her on.
I know.
I literally wish I could FaceTime her for a quick second because when we first started
this podcast, when they said, who do you want as a guest, Ashley Rosenbaum?
She loves your season.
and she loves you with good reason.
So for everyone that doesn't know,
one of the seasons that Charity went back to watch
before she came on this crazy journey was Ashley's.
I mean, she is just so excited that we have you on.
And she's sad she can't be here.
I just don't understand why.
Like, what was the, I mean, I don't know.
I mean, you had some of the most iconic moments ever.
And I do when I get into it and talk about that.
I can't wait.
Oh my gosh. And also, I mean, you just like had such a tough time on your season as well.
Not only were you successful. I think people don't remember what they put you through.
You had so much turbulence on your season. It's like, it was like a soap opera every single week.
But everybody. Successful. And the hottest kissing in the rain scene in Bachelor history, let it be known.
That was very good. That was very memorable.
Even though we're divorced now, I can still sit in the moment and be like, yeah, that was hot.
Absolutely.
That really was.
And we traveled all over the world.
Like, think about it.
Your travel.
Hong Kong, Thailand, Fiji.
Like, we had good travel and we made the best.
Crazy.
Yeah.
No, absolutely.
So before we get into all this, because we will absolutely be walking down memory lane,
you said that you were so excited to come back to the mansion and see your girlfriends.
Who were you excited to catch up with?
You know, I like all, I like, you know, I'm old, I'm older, right?
Oh, everyone needs to stop with this.
I'm in a different generation of bachelors.
So like Trista, obviously, we love me.
Our queen, our matriarch, yeah.
Of course.
Niana's been through a lot in her life recently and things that I relate to.
So I was excited to catch up with her.
And like, she's always just like a breath of fresh air for me.
Like just really real kind of down to earth, fun, cool.
Like I was like hang out with her.
Ali Fetta Tows.
like always, you know, I'm always interested in what she's up to, her thoughts on things.
Like she has a different perspective on things.
So I always love chit-chatting with her.
And then Emily made her and she's my favorite bachelorette.
She is so iconic as well.
Want to know why I love her because she's beautiful.
She's so freaking smart.
And like people don't give her credit.
Like she's the funniest bachelorette.
She is the wittiest, the quickest.
Like she'll stand up for herself.
Like I love that about her.
So I always love hanging with her.
too. So those were kind of like my tops.
And I think I was always...
I was so excited to meet you.
You held my hands in one of the little group settings, Rach.
Like, you're so sweet.
I needed to be known that Ash is one of the tiniest little humans I've ever seen.
And I just wanted to pick her up and carry her around the whole time.
There's no way you can pick me up.
You're tiny.
You are the tiniest.
You are so cute.
And you are the best.
And I have a question, actually.
getting into the Taylor, Frankie Paul of it all coming in.
Did you know anything about her?
Yep.
Okay.
I'm so sorry.
I never,
I didn't watch anything.
I'm really guilty of not knowing much.
That's okay.
A part of this,
like the scandal associated with it.
I know some of it,
but I really am,
I was coming in.
I like to have my own opinion on people too.
I don't like to do any deep dives because you never know what you can trust,
honestly.
Like I love just.
Yeah.
And like formulating my own.
feeling about them. That's one thing that I'm good at is knowing who to stay close to and no
I love that far from. And like, of course I didn't spend that much time with her, but like she's in
like a great energy. She seemed like she had this, um, this modesty to her. Like I didn't feel like she was
like, here I am. I've been on reality TV. I'm like the bomb. Like I felt like she was really humble
and genuine. And that's what I like most about people. Yeah. So I love that you had a very different
view like we've all kind of seen her, I think, on Secret Lives. And the fact that you had not seen
her and so you were getting like a real true first impression. And I love the way you described
her. I felt a lot of the same way. Do you have me like predictions for her season now that you
have kind of met her and have this kind of fresh view of her? Good question. Do I have predictions
about her season? I think that she, I think she's been, it seems like she's been through a lot from what
I've heard. So she's coming in with like a lot of life experience. You know, she's coming in in
in a different place than most bachelors come in because she has kids. She has one or two.
Three. She has kids. So that's number one, right? Like that changes everything. She's already been
through maybe like some dramatic scandals. So I feel like she's coming in with like a fresh perspective.
And maybe like a different priority. I don't know. I just feel like she's coming in differently.
I think she's going to make a more mature decision. I think she's.
she's going to base her choice on qualities that are important and something you only learn
as you go through things in life. So I don't think she's going to pick the hottest guy.
I don't think she's going to pick the guy that, like, gives her maybe those little butterflies.
I think she still might pick the hottest guy.
Oh, okay, maybe. That would be great.
That was my only advice to her. I said, pick the hottest one.
Really?
But that is why I'm the one that ever had a successful one.
Richel.
Do what do you own?
I did. I said it.
Good for you.
You know, whatever works for you.
That's hilarious.
You get guys now and I'm like, I used to be attracted to that type of guy.
And now I'm like totally not.
I'm the opposite.
What are you now?
I do not like guys.
I cannot put a screw in a wall.
Like you've got to put a screw in a wall.
You got to know how to use a drill bit.
You got to know how to build some shit.
You have to build her a shed if you want to be with Ashley.
Don't you, shed.
I love that.
That would have been a perfect bachelor episode.
Like build something.
Fix the toilet.
I cannot.
If I can put more stuff up on the wall than you, we're not a right fit.
So for me, I mean, I'm like manly, scruffy, bigger, like thicker, like hairy.
You can throw you around, toss you around.
Yeah.
Manly man.
You want a manly man.
He could wear boots.
Like, that could be okay with me.
I don't know.
Little like Dickies.
Carhart.
I don't know.
She likes the blue.
Blue Collarman.
She's like the Carrhart, the Dickies.
Okay.
I love it.
Ash, what conversations were you in in the mansion?
For those who don't know, they kind of broke us up into groups and had us talk to Taylor
based on our experiences on the show.
So I was curious what you guys talked about.
I mean, and I was with the group of people that were successes, even though I wasn't really a
success.
But you are.
You had me.
I mean, you have two beautiful children.
Yes. We were together. Yes, yes, yes, yes, exactly. So we, what did we talk about?
I think, like, she was really curious. I was surprised, like, we didn't kind of wing it. She actually
had some questions for us. She had some questions, yes. She had really, in fact, she said, like,
I know where my shortcomings are. I remember who specifically saying this. And, like, how am I not going,
how am I going to do better picking a better match for me? Yeah. I think that's a really good insight.
And that's what I'm talking about. She's coming in from a place.
with a really good perspective.
Yeah, because she's picked two guys that weren't great for her.
I mean, like, I do feel like she was coming here with a different mindset.
Like, I'm going to do this better.
I have this great opportunity of all these men here that have kind of been
hand-selected for me.
So these are people that they think would be a good match.
So I'm going to do a good job of picking this person out.
And they were rely on us really weirdly to give her advice.
I mean, first of all, I'm old enough to be her mother.
So it's a little weird.
Like, it sounds probably pretty motherly.
But coming from like you and from Trista and who else was with us,
somebody. Charity. Charity. Does. And I think there's only maybe chat. Oh, Jojo. Oh, Jojo.
Jojo is with us. How can we forget Jojo? There was two over there.
I know she's perfect. So I can't remember the advice we really gave her. Do you remember what we
told her? I know Des was giving some good advice. I was listening from behind the counter because
I was also trying to get advice. That's all I remember. Are you going to do another stench on the
bachelor that we don't know of that?
Yeah, the golden bachelor, I won't you.
I'm going to be the next golden vettrette.
You're still a baby.
You're still a baby.
You know what I remember talking to her about when she was talking about, I'm trying to remember,
it was something about like how to pick, do you go based on your gut?
Do you go based on your brain?
Do you go?
I think we talked a lot about that.
I think you're right.
Yep.
And I think that needs to be different for every person.
But I remember talking to her.
Remember, on my season, once I knew I wanted to leave with JP, I wrote him.
him a little journal every day. And that was really helped when we were watching it back because
he would understand the reasons why I did certain things or made certain decisions. Like,
everything was kind of, you know, diary. Oh, my gosh. Ashley, have you, did you go back and
watch your season with him? I'm trying to remember. I think we were actually in hiding at that point.
Yeah. We watched it separately. I believe we watched maybe the last episode together.
But that's a great advice.
That's something I would recommend for any Bachelorette.
If you're feeling very confident in your selection early on,
it will just make your life easier when you go back and watch it.
To describing, you know, hey, you know, it's Hong Kong and, you know,
I'm going on a date with this person.
I chose to go on a date with this person because of this.
I want to see this.
Like, if you're really transparent and open and honest while you're going through that
process and you write it down, I think it just makes things so much easier, right?
Yeah.
for the show after the show aired.
Because certainly that is a thing in Bachelor World
that people have problems at the end
that like, well, you look like you were really falling in love with them.
Like, you know, your feelings are now like, you know,
making me like second guess.
Do you really love me?
So that's such a great advice.
You can say, here, look, read it.
This is what I wrote at the time.
Exactly.
So smart.
I Heart Radio is throwing it back.

Welcome to the A building.
I'm Hans Charles.
I'm in a lich Lamouba.
It's 1969.
Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. have both been assassinated, and Black America was out of breaking point.
Writing and protests broke out on an unprecedented scale.
In Atlanta, Georgia at Martin's Almemata, Morehouse College, the students had their own protest.
It featured two prominent figures in black history, Martin Luther King, Sr., and a young student, Samuel L. Jackson.
To be in what we really thought was a revolution. I mean, people would die.
In 1968, the murder of Dr. King, which traumatized everyone.
The FBI had a role in the murder of a Black Panther leader in Shakespeare.
This story is about protest. It echoes in today's world far more than it should, and it will blow your mind.

Do you have any predictions for her season?
I mean, you know, she's a tough one, I feel like.
Really?
I don't know her well enough. Do I have predictions? Yeah, I mean, she has kids. Someone has to really fit into a very specific life.
So I think she's going to experience a lot of turmoil in her decision because I think she's going to maybe have her heart take her one place, her brain take her another place. Like when you have kids, you kind of have to think smart. You can't just be like, oh, I'm going to go with this person and like just sort it out, sort out the other things. You know, I really feel like she's going to experience some turmoil at the end.
her final decision or later on.
That's my prediction.
Totally.
I wanted to ask Ashley because for everyone who doesn't know, she had kind of one of the
worst villains of all time.
I would say the worst villain of all time.
What would be your advice to like Bacheloretts, Taylor, anyone that was dealing with
their Bentley?
Oh my goodness.
How rude of him.
No, he was actually horrific.
And I think the producers, the fact that they allowed that to happen for more than two
seconds is horrific and I will say I was dying idea that was going on so when I watched that back
I was like what the fuck but can I tell you who's dying tell us something tell us on the podcast you want to
tell us yes remember when it was airing he texted me what did he say to you I don't know if it was
or a friend or he was texting from a friend's phone or something and I honestly don't remember
what it said but it said something along the lines like hey I'm sorry like I'm sorry that
it's looking like this.
You know, some of this stuff I did say,
but some of the stuff that they're airing
that I said about you,
I had said about my ex-wife.
So he's like,
not everything is as it seems.
That's what the message was.
And I remember getting it and being like,
did you text him back?
No, no, no, no.
I do not accept that apologies.
I do not let him up the hook.
I did.
I don't remember.
It was so long of them.
I remember.
That's crazy.
There was a scene where, first of all,
They put you on a roast date, which they should never do again in the history of ever.
I think roast dates should be over and finished.
Yours was actually horrific, Ashley.
It was the worst.
It's funny.
It's like, I'm not a serious person.
And I love, like, joking around.
You were laughing, but I would have crying the whole time.
I'm going to tell you what happened.
I'm going to tell you what happened.
When people roast you, like, you can take it until they hit on something you're sensitive about, right?
Like, that's when it hits.
So for me going on, when they asked me to be the bachelor, I was like, why do they want me?
Like, I'm cool, very cool.
I'm a little cute, but not like I wouldn't say.
I'm like, oh, wow, I'm so beautiful.
You're stunning, first of all.
And I, yes.
Look at you.
Look at that face of yours.
I just want to squeeze it.
But I'm saying is like, I didn't understand why they wanted me.
So I went in with that insecurity of like, why did they pick me?
Am I worthy of this?
You know, and then like there was like a little bit, I remember hearing from like some of the
other bachelor's on my season like kind of like with some grumblings like why did they pick her
type of thing so i had that insecurity so then when we went on to the rose it's when they hit that
spot for me that's when i was like oh that sucks like i can take anything else you can say anything else
about me i really don't care but they hit that soft spot so i think that's what that's what happened
but why would they do that bachelorette like we're ever been on to like get in the power but
this is what this is kind of what bothers me is like we're giving women the power
When we're bringing a bachelorette on, we're putting a woman on a pedestal, allowing them to make decisions.
I'm not going to go back into history and talk about women's, you know, whatever.
Yeah.
I'm not going to go that far.
That's a whole other podcast.
But then they put, they bring me on.
And I find there's so many instances that harped in on my insecurities.
And like looking back, I'm like, it feels someone did this on purpose, like to create something, right?
Why would they put, they're bringing a woman in?
why would you put them on a roast stage and like give opportunity to like tear a woman down?
I don't know. There's part of me that felt really uncomfy with that.
I mean, I could talk a little more about it, but I don't want to bore you guys.
Oh, no.
No, it's not boring because we are, I think we were all shocked in that moment.
Yes.
Also, we were really shocked when we were seeing all the ITMs with Bentley and how he was like playing this chess game with you.
Right.
This is what I'm going to do today to make her feel like this about me.
and this is what I'm going to do.
Like, why would producers allow him to keep doing that?
I could see, okay, we need a little shock value.
We are making a show.
But it went on for so incredibly long.
Like, I was like, stop.
Somebody stop him.
Yeah.
So one thing I will say just in their defense is like it felt like a long time because
of the episodes.
But honestly, this whole thing went on for less than a week.
Like from like the drama to him leaving, it didn't last very long, like in real
But still, but still, yes.
If I saw somebody kind of like
being manipulative, I'd be like, bye.
Yeah.
You know.
Totally.
I don't feel like they did, or at least on your season,
you also had that extra bit of someone coming back
and pining for you.
And I wish Charity was here because she had a similar experience.
Wait, did I?
Didn't you have Ryan come back?
Ryan.
Is Ryan?
Oh, is Ryan, um, the blonde?
You tell me. Can I look it up? Yeah, the blonde cute guy. Yeah. Hold on a second. Ashley Heber.
Wait. Not Ashley looking at her own season. Ryan Park, right? I'm trying to say. He came back. He came back.
He did. So you had a lot just going on with your mind. I mean, I think people don't understand when you're in that environment. It is so
difficult to know what's real, what's not, how to make a decision. How were you able to navigate
that? I mean, I think that's a good question. I like to think that I'm a good reader of people.
Like, I think that I was just born that way. So I feel like that helped me get to some really good
guys in the end. Like, I still feel like the decisions I made. Like, I ended up with two really
authentic people to this day. I'll still say they're really authentic. And even all my friends in my life,
like I'm not like a bullshitter.
Like I'm like if you give me any bad vibe, beep on like I only keep really authentic
people in my life.
And I think that really helped me going through the process and making my decisions.
So.
Yeah.
What was your favorite part about being the league?
Was it the travel or the great guys you met or the friends you made in the long run?
What was your favorite thing?
You know, I came from a small town, right?
So I'm like small town, 5,000 people in my town growing up.
I think sometimes you feel like like you're forgotten when you're when you're from like a really
small area.
So I feel like for me, it was like, wow, I feel like an actual person, right?
Like I'm recognizable.
So there was part of it that was like the excitement of feeling not lost in a land of,
you know, cows and potato fields.
Like that was very exciting to me.
And then just being able obviously to travel the world.
Like that was amazing.
Meet so many great people have great life experiences.
That's what life is about, right?
Waking up every day and making the best of your, of what you have.
And to me, that was just, it just added to my life and it just made it more beautiful,
opened up opportunity for me to just become the person that I was destined to be.
Like, I truly feel like being on the bachelor's part of that for me.
Came into your own.
Yeah, discovered who you were.
At me home, I feel confident in, you know, how I feel my beliefs and where I'm from.
Like, I don't know.
I feel like it really helped me navigate who I.
It's funny. It's funny the way you describe that. So I came on off of the Golden Bachelor to the Bachelorette. And I said when I was leaving the mansion when I left when I self-illiminated from the Golden Bachelor, I said as you get older, you start to feel invisible. And it's so funny that you're talking to touching on the same thing. Like I felt really invisible in my life. I felt like people just didn't notice me. And like it's not that I deserve to be noticed, but I just don't want to be invisible. I don't want to walk into like I would walk up to a hostess stand and there'd be five other people standing there and they'd help everybody else before me. I just felt like,
As you get older, they start to ignore you.
So the fact that you're saying that you felt that same way just coming from a small town
is like really interesting that, you know, it's not maybe, you know, just an age thing
that I was feeling.
Maybe it's just other people in the world are feeling the same way.
And like that we need to choose not to accept that.
Like we can make a difference.
And like you did and I did.
But everybody needs to.
We did it by coming on a big TV show.
But no one should accept feeling invisible or not important.
I totally agree with you.
And you know, I remember that you said that and that really hit me.
when you said that, you know, because I have people in my life that are getting older and like,
they'll make, you know, they'll also, you know, have that same sentiment, like, feel like nobody
looks at them, nobody cares about them. Like when women age, it's like, it changes. I don't know.
I just. It's very odd. You don't know what's happening until it's happened and you're like,
when did that happen? Like, it's very weird. So, but I think it's a thing that we accept it and we just
have to not accept it, but you don't know that until you do something big and you become less
invisible.
Right.
So, yeah, it's funny that we have.
Would you do it again?
Would you go on the Bachelorette again?
Would you?
Oh, yes.
I would.
I would because of what I just told you.
Yes.
It made, it really helps guide you in your path and your life and it can open up opportunities,
whether it's relationship opportunities, life opportunities,
opportunities for you to grow in yourself.
Like, I feel like it was such an, like take that opportunity, everybody.
Just take it.
Yeah.
Close your eyes and go.
Try not to think.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It sounds like it gave you a confidence that you didn't have because you were in this
small atmosphere and you experienced a bigger life and you have confidence now in that
bigger world.
Yes, absolutely.

In the middle of the night, Soskia awoke in a haze.
Her husband, Mike, was on his laptop.
What was on his screen,
would change Saskia's life forever.
I said, I need you to tell me exactly what you're doing.
And immediately, the mask came off.

What do you do in the headlines don't explain what's happening inside of you?
I'm Ben Higgins, and if you can hear me, is where culture meets the soul, a place for real conversation.
Each episode, I sit down with people from all walks of life, celebrities, thinkers, and
everyday folks, and we go deeper than the polished story.
We talk about what drives us, what shapes us, and what gives us hope.
We get honest about the big stuff, identity when you don't recognize yourself anymore,
loss that changes you, purpose when success isn't enough, peace when your mind won't slow down,
faith when it's complicated.
Some guests have answers.
Most are still figuring it out.
If you've ever felt like there has to be more to the story, this show is for you.

Welcome to the A building.
I'm Hans Charles.
I'm Manilic Lamouba.
It's 1969.
Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. have both been assassinated.
And Black America was out of breaking point.
Writing and protests broke out on an unprecedented scale.
In Atlanta, Georgia at Martin's Almermata, Morehouse College, the students had their own protest.
It featured two prominent figures in black history, Martin Luther King Sr. and a young student, Samuel L. Jackson.
To be in what we really thought was a revolution. I mean, people would die.
In 1968, the murder of Dr. King, which traumatized everyone.
The FBI had a role in the murder of a Black Panther leader in Chicago.
This story is about protest.
It echoes in today's world far more than it should, and it will blow your mind.

I'm Bowen-Yen.
And I'm Matt Rogers.
During this season of the Two Guys' Five Rings podcast, in the lead-up to the Milan-Cortina-2026 winner Olympic Games, we've been joined by some of our friends.
Hi, hi, Matt.
Hey, Elmo.
Hey, mad, hey, Bowen.
Hi, Cookie.
Hi.
Now, the Winter Olympic Games are underway, and we are in Italy to give you experiences from our hearts to your ears.
Listen to two guys, five rings on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
It's amazing, too, to hear you talk about how grateful you are for the experience.
I think we and Joan completely feel the same way.
And I just want to say I'm pushing for Ashley 2.0.
But if you were to come back, there's been so much change happening in the franchise, right?
Like we have Taylor.
What would you bring back from your season into a new era?
What would I bring back?
Well, definitely something I wouldn't bring is insecurity, right?
Because I feel like a part of me, like I was young, inexperienced.
So if I were to bring something back, it would just be like woman power.
I love that.
I'm in power.
And much more security in myself, right?
I was a young person and I feel like there were so many moments of insecurity that I just don't feel
anymore, which is great. New perspective, just like Taylor, I have kids now. I have a career. So many
things going on. And also just a new idea for what I would want in a relationship, right? Like when you're
younger, you want a certain thing when you get older and you realize relationships, like the challenges
in relationships and marriages and roles in a relationship.
roles in marriages.
Like I just feel like coming in,
I want something completely different
from what I used to have.
So maybe that's a little too deep.
Or I just know.
No, no, no.
No, no.
No, no.
On authenticity.
Yes.
Like, that's certainly what you would bring.
I do wonder, though, like,
how do you feel about the direction
Bachelor nation has taken by bringing,
giving this lead to somebody who's not, like,
innocent and not, like, perfect.
Like, we all try to be,
and not part of the franchise.
And not part of, never had been on the, on a bachelor season before.
Like, she's just something really new and fresh and very, very different.
But it's certainly very, it strays really far from what we've ever done before.
What do you think about that?
I mean, I, first of, I'm surprised that they did bring her in because I thought it was always going to stay in the family.
But I also think sometimes you could like shake things up, right?
You got to shake things up, try new things and see what sticks.
And I also think, listen, I'm all about everything.
everyone makes mistakes.
We learn as we go.
But I think everybody deserves a second chance, right?
Like,
yeah,
if we all reflect back in our lives,
we can pick something out shit,
I shouldn't have done that.
Oh,
of course.
Oh,
absolutely.
I'm ashamed of this.
We all have something,
right?
So hers was just,
yep,
maybe televised,
maybe everybody knows about it.
And so I think it's a good,
I think it's a good thing to bring her back, right?
Give someone a second chance.
No one's perfect.
I,
I'm excited about it.
I'm excited.
Do you think that at all that, like, the fact that she is kind of flawed, like we all are,
but we don't, like, have it out there in the public eye?
She's kind of flawed.
So do you think maybe the guys will allow us to see their flaws and maybe be really more real?
Yeah.
I mean, I think that sometimes when we see a bachelor, we think, oh, my gosh, just that perfect little angel, right?
So pretty every day.
I think it's good to have someone flawed.
So then you can feel more, more, first off, I think.
comfortable. When you know someone's flaws, I feel like you are immediately closer to them, right?
Like, you know a part of other people don't know. And I think that could even bring people closer.
And you know what? Everybody on that show has done something that they, like we're talking about, regret.
And I think that it's okay to not be perfect. And I think that's a great, I think that's a great message, right?
So the guys can know, listen, no one's perfect. We've all done things. And I think it's setting a great example for honesty and relationships.
Yeah. I always told my kids that.
I'm like people like the flawed you way better than the perfect you.
Perfect you is really intimidating.
Be the flawed person that you are and like people will like you a lot better.
100%.
Totally.
I want to also ask because we talked about back when we were like discussing the roast,
you had mentioned that one of your insecurities was like, you know,
having gone through the Bachelorette and not being chosen,
I had something so similar.
I think it's been a pattern for Bacheloretian to pick someone from the previous season.
I think when I went into the Bachelorette.
it was so nice that I could look at the men and be like,
I know where like you're coming from.
I feel the same way.
When you sent them home,
especially like later,
you knew how like bad it felt.
Taylor's not going to have that.
How do you think that's going to affect the way she sends men home,
who she chooses?
Yeah,
that's true.
Because when you're going in,
you already have experience doing it.
So you feel like a little more empathy.
I think she has natural built in empathy in her heart.
That's what I feel when I met her.
So I actually think,
even though she doesn't,
have the experience, I think that she still will manage it properly just because of her innate
empathy. That's what I think. I mean, I met her for a short period of time, but from my read on
her is like she has a heart. Yeah, I agree with you. I feel like she's going to be really hard on
and she's also going to be really empathetic. Like she's going to expect a lot from them,
but she's going to really like you said, she has a big heart. Yeah, I think so. I don't think
she'll have any problems. Yeah. Ashley, I was going to say,
What's some life updates? Give us the tea. Tell us everything for the viewers.
For everyone that doesn't know, you have two beautiful children. Tell us all about them.
They're the best. So I have two kids, Ford and Essie. Ford's 11. He's a handful. He's like so charismatic. He is.
He is totally JP. Super charismatic. Sorry, JP. He and I are friends. So I can say this. He's a handful just like his dad.
And my daughter, he plays basketball, baseball.
He's a very active kid.
Very, I don't know.
He's a, yeah, he's a handful.
And then my daughter, Essie is, she's really kind of like me, kind of more easygoing, I would say, follows the rules, rule follower.
Emotionally, very intelligent for someone that young.
She's nine years old and she can read people like that just she was born with, I think.
She's becoming a really great soccer player.
And honestly, it's like, this is what my life is.
It's just work, waking up, making them, you know, healthy breakfast, getting everybody a great start to the day, trying to inspire them to do good things, school.
And then all the activities, guys.
We got the baseball, basketball, soccer, soccer rec team.
We got to go to Orlando this weekend.
Literally, my life is running around and just trying to.
optimize their life, which makes me so happy because that's...
Yeah.
I cherish those days.
I love, I have four kids.
I love, that's the happiest time in my life.
Look back at it.
It's like a little bit of a blur when it was happening.
I was like, wow, I got so much to do.
How am I going to get all this done?
But I look back and I'm like, I was so happy.
Yes.
They're great.
Those are great days.
They read a lot.
They play sports.
They're very active.
They eat healthy.
For the most part, everything is like, honestly, perfect.
What a beautiful season.
I know.
It sounds like it's all kind of revolving around your kids.
Do you ever get recognized?
Oh, wait, yeah, Joan.
And then I want to ask, do the moms at soccer practice of her fan girl?
Do they recognize you?
Oh, God.
So here's the beauty about Miami's.
Not a lot of people know who we are.
Really?
If my mother saw you, game over.
Really?
There's no way moms don't recognize you.
They have no idea.
And you look exactly the same.
Oh, I don't.
You really just.
You haven't changed Charlie at all.
That is so true.
You guys are so sweet.
Yeah, they don't know.
Miami's like it's a different beast down here.
Like it's not, if I were to go to L.A., New York, like any of the major cities, of course, they know us.
But here we're kind of incognito, which is really nice.
Yeah, that is true.
I mean, Rachel, you're in, in L.A., so probably everybody recognizes you.
I get recognized in L.A.
I get recognized in New York and I get recognized in my own hometown.
But, like, in general, like, I'm here in Pennsylvania.
No one has, I'm like, I think like three people have asked to take pictures of me.
So it's like you're definitely in certain places you're right.
You get recognized a lot more.
But it sounds like your kind of world revolves around your kids.
Do you have anything like you oriented, like anything that's great to happen in your life?
That's a good question.
So I'm a pediatric dentist.
So I have my own pediatric dental office and it's booming.
It's growing.
We're four and a half years old.
I put all of my time to that.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
for you.
Successful.
I feel like I'm ready to retire soon, though.
But yes.
I mean, it's for almost 15 years.
So it's a long time.
Wow.
Yeah.
So a lot of my life revolves around, you know, my work, my patients, my staff, my kids, my kids' activities, things that I enjoy doing.
I really love to travel.
So, you know, whenever I have the opportunity, I'll definitely do that.
And then I like love to dance.
So I do a dance class once a week.
just for fun, nothing crazy, just like good exercise.
And then I hang out with my girls, you know, every, we go to brunch, coffee, girlfriends,
like that's what my life is about.
Just authentic, doing the best that I can to raise my kids in a great environment and give
them opportunities for success and kind of like a launching pad for, you know, doing great things.
Sounds like you have a full life.
I know.
I was going to say, such a beautiful life and you're just such a beautiful person.
I think I can speak for all of us that were so happy for you.
That is true.
You were talking about traveling a little bit.
How was your big family vacation with JP this past summer?
And do you have any advice you would give somebody that is going through like a co-parenting journey?
And like what is the smartest thing you do?
What can you do to make co-parenting so good like you guys are doing?
I'm not good at a lot of things, but I'm really good at the co-parenting thing.
We both are very good at the co-parenting thing.
and if anybody needs any advice, contact me personally.
But what I can tell you honestly.
That's nice of you.
No, it's true because I care about kids and I see so many kids suffering from, you know,
hard to do this and it breaks my heart.
We see it here in Miami all the time.
But what I can tell you, you only need to know one thing when you're going through a divorce.
And it sounds so easy.
You're going to say, actually, everybody knows that.
But when you're making decisions, all you have to do.
do is remember this one thing. Always do what's best for the kids. If you want to say something negative
about your X in front of your kids, stop. Always do what's best for the kids. Is this the best for the kids?
No, it's not. That's absolutely not the best for the kids, right? So you don't do it. So whenever you're
in a situation where you feel like you want to do something, always ask yourself, what is the best thing for my
kids? You want to have your kids. You want to have them full time, but is that the best for the kids,
right, depending on the situation.
Most kids benefit from a 50-50.
Yeah, both parents.
Oh, most.
So you want that full custody, but ask yourself, what is best for the kids?
And I really think that's all you need when you go through a divorce.
Well, if you have kids, you don't have kids, then you make your own.
It's a different world.
Totally different one, right, right, right.
I know, but that's about the co-paraging.
Yeah, one thing JPEC and I are really, really good as we both always put the kids first,
no matter how we feel about anything.
So that's really good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But divorce is challenging.
It's so multi-layered and complex and it can affect kids in so many ways and it breaks my heart.
And I'm so happy that my kids have been able to be role models for other kids in their community.
And, you know, we got divorced a long time ago.
Most kids are their parents are going through divorces now.
So I feel like knowing that Ford and Essie have gone through it, some kids have a child to rely on and to
feel like they're not. I think, you know, I'm grateful that they've been very mature in that,
in the whole process and have really handled it with such grace for such young kids.
Yeah. Well, I mean, that's thanks to you and your great parenting, because not everybody has
the chance to do that and that they still feel secure and that their world is not falling apart,
that they have two parents who still love them, even though they live in different houses,
is really all it is. Yeah. Yeah, I wanted to thank you, yeah, for sharing because I'm sure
there are so many people that go through this and you and jp just handle it so fantastically so
I just wanted to give you your flowers thank you oh you're the best thank you so much for
doing us today this was such a treat and hopefully we can do it again and this time next time i know
chariot'll be here won't be me so i'm just going to give a big kiss to you and i'm so privileged that
i got to be the one here today yes thank you so much ash let's do another one charity
no we need charity will not let this one go you'll have to come back soon because
Because she is so jealous.
So go grab your kids.
Thank you everyone for listening.
Thank you so much, Ashley.

bachelorette like Ashley.
Thank you all.
Love you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
