Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate. Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. So in the last month, the Midas Touch Network beat Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Candice Owens, Charlie Kirk, and Ben Shapiro all combined. What happens when three brothers take on right-wing media and start winning? I find out on the latest episode of Next Question with me, Katie Couric. We just want people to live their lives and be happy and be able to enjoy it without some, you know, lunatic.
Starting point is 00:01:00 tick screaming in their face every three seconds. Listen to next question with me, Katie Couric on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, my name is Enya Humanzor. And I'm Drew Phillips. And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom. If you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you. But if you have unmedicated ADHD...
Starting point is 00:01:26 Oh my God, perfect. And want to hear people with mental ill. Illness, Psychobabble. Yes, yes. Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you. Open your free IHeartRadio app. Search Emergency Intercom and listen now. Hey, everyone.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour. I'm Jo. And I'm Serena. And we are here with Danny, the official reporter of Bachelor Nation. And from what I've been told, you're just like taking over, right? Yes, I'm here to interview you today. The tables are flipped. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:01:56 Honestly, that is a relief for us. Yeah, I didn't really want to work today, so I feel good about that. It'll be nice to step back and be the guest for a minute. Yeah, so I run bachelornation.com, which is where you can find all your favorite Bachelor Nation news, exclusive interviews. I've interviewed you too, actually. You have a few times. I think I was one of your first interviews when you finished Paradise.
Starting point is 00:02:16 You might have been. Yes, I think you were. Because we did like our little media tour the day after. Yeah. But we did you like before the finale maybe? Yeah, a little sneak peek. Well, behind the scenes. Now we have a full circle moment.
Starting point is 00:02:29 moment where I'm going to be asking you questions you've probably never been asked before. Hopefully never been asked. I heard you did. I heard you did some digging is what. Yeah. I did. I'm like hiding the questions for me. I don't want you to see them because, yeah, you too obviously hosts the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.
Starting point is 00:02:41 You've been on multiple of our shows. I feel like Bachelor Nation fans feel like they know everything about you. But they don't, okay? I'm so intriguing. I don't think you're going to, I don't think you're going to have me shocked at all. I feel like I've been asked all these questions. Maybe. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:02:57 I'll be shocked, but it's easier to shock me than Joe. I feel like. Yeah. So yeah, come to bachelornation.com, come hang out with us. We have all the T. We have all the exclusive interviews.
Starting point is 00:03:04 You can sign up to be in the audience, which is super fun if you've never done it before. Yeah, I've always wondered how people get in the audience. So I've always been like, do they have to need to know someone? They just like apply through the website. Yeah, you come on the website.
Starting point is 00:03:15 We have a little audience tab. You can sign up. You can sign up for our newsletter. Like, it is the place to be for all things Bachelor nation. Can you apply for the show? Yeah. Okay. The website's where it's at.
Starting point is 00:03:24 That really does it all. It's the one-stop shop. You can apply to be on the show. You get all the latest news. We have Bachelor Happy Hour episodes linked there. So we got all the tea for you. Great. Love it.
Starting point is 00:03:34 All right. Shall we dive into some of these questions? Let's do it. I'm going to start with just a quick one for Joe. I'm going to go back and forth with each of you. So, Joe, I don't think everyone knows how much of a fashion guy you are and, like, how much you love designers. What is the most you've ever splurged on an item and what was it? You definitely never been asked.
Starting point is 00:03:51 This is a great question. Because people always think that Joe is not, like, in. to fashion because you are this is not true but you have a very like toned down sense of style you like a simple look but you were such a boogey bitch when it comes to your fashion uh okay where's your t-shirt from today no this oh this is abacroby yeah this is but we love abacrumpy too yeah my jeans are my jeans are tom ford yeah there I will say I would say um I mean it just depends like I've bought the most expensive I mean like my suit was probably 4,000 my black suit. No, my black suit. My tuxedo wasn't as much. But like, I've really calmed down. But like I do, I have like, I have a few like pairs of Tom Ford jeans that I still wear that I've had for like six or seven years. I actually do think it's a good investment. And those are like, he's telling you this before he tells you the price tag. You know, he's like buffering. He's like growing up six years. You know, you divide it. It only has up to like two hundred years. And I don't know when this episode's coming out. But yeah, like I just bought a a yellow sweater for the. jingle ball that was that was kind of expensive how expensive uh no i mean i got it on sale
Starting point is 00:05:03 i got it on sale so how expensive uh 450 okay it was on sale it was on sale the most expensive but original price was like 900 so i got a deal the most expensive thing you ever bought since we've been to that that that was an expensive yellow sweater i'm glad you didn't pay 900 for it was your monclare jacket yeah that was no my suit other than your suit other than your suit but your monclare jacket it is like an everyday piece. You know what I mean? All my pieces are everyday pieces. Right.
Starting point is 00:05:29 They're all... I'm building a capsule collection. There we go. And I'm actually helping Serena build hers too because I bought her a really nice coat for her birthday. He did. He bought me a coat from Acne Studio. Joe's a great gift giver because like I am not a splurger
Starting point is 00:05:41 when it comes to clothing stuff and he is. And he actually is really good taste and he always buys me like really good. The good thing about our relationship is I spend all my money and Serena saves her. So I have a backup. I feel like maybe people wouldn't expect that. So that's some good insight. Okay, Serena, I don't know if everyone knows that you are a competitive dancer and a dance teacher at one point, so I hear. Have you watched Joe's Dancing with the Stars dances?
Starting point is 00:06:06 And what is your honest opinion on his dancing? So, yes, that is true. I didn't watch his season when it was on. But when we got off of Paradise, we went to one of his friends' houses because we couldn't be out in public. We were, like, hiding. and it was like one of the first things they did was pull up his dance and with the stars dance they're like you need to know what you're getting yourself into
Starting point is 00:06:27 okay like you need to watch what your future husband was doing on TV a few years ago they made me out to be worse than I was you know what that's the thing though is they made him I wasn't as bad that when they pulled up the videos I was like okay like he's not that bad you're not a natural dancer that's just you're never going to be a natural dancer
Starting point is 00:06:45 it's okay I I wasn't a performer at the time oh so things have changed I think, I honestly think if I went back on the show, I'd probably be really, really good. If they ever have an all-star season, watch out. Joe is coming for the mirror of all trophy. My biggest issue wasn't. They ever had a couple season. That would be fun.
Starting point is 00:07:03 I would love to go into the stars. I tell anyone who will listen, if you can get me on the show, I'm there. My biggest issue wasn't like the no rhythm. It was the fact that I just had stage fright at the time. Yeah. I could work on rhythm. It's so funny, actually, because I think my mom said this. to me, Jojo Siwa has a podcast
Starting point is 00:07:22 and Jenna, your partner who's one on it and she was asking her like, it was like a TikTok clip like who was like her best partner, her strongest partner who she had the most fun with and like who was like her like worst partner ever. And she was like, we got along so well. We laughed so much. We had so
Starting point is 00:07:40 much fun. But she's like he was like he had a really hard time because he had like such fat stage right. Oh. Really? I didn't hear that. I'll send it to you. No, but it was sweet like you was like it's true you would self-admit it yeah yeah no it's true all right joe i hear your dad is a triplet and i know you guys aren't ready necessarily to have kids where did you get these questions danny oh my god i know you're not ready to have
Starting point is 00:08:06 kids quit yet but how would you both feel if you had triplets i i think it skips a generation right i well from what i heard i believe it it has to be on the mom's side yeah we had this debate with joe's friends like overthinking serena would have it had a big issue because she's small. I don't like his dad was a it was four there was four yeah there was four and the one died at birth oh wow yeah which is very sad yeah but okay so there are babies in my body are you kidding me it's not gonna happen I can't do that like I'm just gonna like mentally will that to not happen do people even have quadruplets these days I'm sure I think as there's like IVF involved there's like a higher chance of having more babies at once.
Starting point is 00:08:50 I think that's how like John and K plus eight happened, wasn't it? Gosh, I don't know. But I do know that that does make a higher chance because they put like multiple embryos in at once. But I think there is, I don't know what the statistic is, but it must be a certain percentage of people naturally get pregnant with triplets, quadruplets, whatever it is. Two, I mean, like, I'm not like hoping for two at once, but I would be like twins great. Sure, whatever.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Three plus. Three would be a, three would be an issue. Physically, I would be actually concerned. for my life and the safety of the children. Two, I just don't want to do that. Yeah, no. That's where I say. Unfortunately, you don't get to choose.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Yeah. We'll have to wait and see. We'll see what happens. All right, Serena, can you please share the embarrassing story of hitting your biology teacher's car in 12th grade? Oh, my God. Did you, like, message my mom or something? You hit your biology teachers?
Starting point is 00:09:41 Do you not know this? No, I did not know this, but I'm not shocked. Oh, my God. I'm definitely not shy. I've been in the car with Seren. Oh, my God. Okay, so, oh, my God. With that termination, I've locked this story out. We're getting the tea. I told you. I've locked this story out. So I'm not a very good driver. But, and I, when, what? So my mom was away. She was away, I think, visiting her family. My dad goes into work every morning. I was driving my sister and I had to school. I think it was in 12th grade. My sister was in grade nine. And I was parking in the teacher's parking lot because I didn't have a parking pass. And I knew there was going to be extra spots every day. I wasn't supposed to be parking there anyway, but I was like, whatever, it's fine. There's extra spots.
Starting point is 00:10:21 I'm just going to park here. It's fine. And I was talking to my sister and I was turning left. I can literally see this so clearly. I was turning left into this parking spot and I just didn't turn enough and I literally turned right into like the right side of the car smashed into the back of another car. And my food nutrition teacher saw it happen. Like we made eye contact.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Like I looked up and she's looking at me and I'm looking at her. and she didn't really do anything actually. You had a food nutrition teacher? Yeah. Where did you go to school? That's the first question. I was like an elective that I did. You didn't know that it was your biology teacher's car that you hit at this point.
Starting point is 00:10:59 I didn't. I didn't, but I knew I was in the teacher's parking lot, so I knew it probably wasn't good. I called my friend. We had danced first period because I went to an art school and I was like, I just hit a car. I don't know what I need to come out. They run out. My dance teacher comes out and they're like, go to the principal's office, whatever. And through that, I learned it.
Starting point is 00:11:17 was Mr. Paskell's car, my biology teacher. We had a great relationship. I was good student, but like, I felt so bad. I called my dad. I was like, I just had a teacher's car. My dad was great about it. Like, I was obviously really distraught. My biology teacher was pissed. Really? He was not happy. He was not happy. We were very lucky that my uncle at the time owned a Honda dealership, which is, and we had a little bit of help there, taking care of the situation my parents stepped in obviously but yeah he actually DMed me when I went on the show and was like oh my god like congratulations like when you hit my car and I was like yeah mr. pass was like hope you're doing great like hope your car's doing well too I was gonna ask if you've connected again since we have
Starting point is 00:12:02 connected since um I wasn't in his class at the time thank God because I think that would have potentially impacted the grading system you better be careful with our triplets yeah no we'll have Like the safest car available. You're going to be in a minivan. We'll be in a minivan, yeah. That's like got padding on the outside. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious. Well, wait a minute, Sam.
Starting point is 00:12:29 Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other. but I just want her gone. Now hold up, isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. So in the last month, the Midas Touch Network beat Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Candice Owens, Charlie Kirk, and Ben Shapiro all combined.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Conservative podcasts can have a major political impact, but the Myceles Brothers, three siblings with a serious media strategy, are building an alternative to that. On the latest episode of Next Question with Katie Couric, I sat down with the brothers behind the Midas Touch Network to talk about how they built a progressive media powerhouse from the ground. up, why audience interaction is the key to political influence and what it takes to fight disinformation at scale, one download at a time. We should be focusing on the issues that actually occupy a lot of the mental space in Americans' minds but are filled with conspiracies, and we should fill it with the truth and solutions. Listen to next question with me, Katie Couric on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, my name is Enya Umanzor.
Starting point is 00:14:15 And I'm Drew Phillips. And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom. If you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you. But if you have unmedicated ADHD... Oh my God, perfect. And want to hear people with mental illness, psycho babble. Yes, yes. Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Open your free IHeartRadio app. Search Emergency Intercom and listen now. All right, speaking of school, Joe, you've mentioned in some other interviews that you weren't, you know, necessarily the best student and got detention a couple of times in high school. Can you tell us a funny story at a time you got detention? Probably not. I can't, I don't know if I could go back that far, but I will tell you this freshman year. I was a really good student up until high school and then high school. No way.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Yeah, true. Were you really? Yeah, true, yeah. What happened? I just didn't go to the best high school and his high school is now a parking lot like it doesn't exist anymore they like tore it down yeah and it was just like everyone in my class was like everyone was bad and I got I got so many detentions for freshman year and not doing anything like terrible I would just talk a lot and like out of turn but I think I got like 60 something detentions and if I would have got one more I would have got expelled like I was at the the limit of detentions. Oh, no. Joe was a bad kid. But it wasn't that bad.
Starting point is 00:15:46 No, I honestly. What were you getting detentions for? Just talking out of turn? Well, like, like, walking, like my t-shirt untalked and, like, things like that. Oh, that's very strict. Yeah, like, I would refuse to like, like, I didn't want to tuck my t-shirt because I didn't like the way that looked. You still don't talk your t-shirt? No.
Starting point is 00:16:01 No, but if I did that, would be, I don't think this would look good. Yeah, I tuck in every so often. Okay, fair. Yeah. But not at school. Not at school. So you were just defiant against the rules, but it sounds like the rules were really strict. I've, yeah, I just
Starting point is 00:16:14 Did you go to class? I went to class freshman year. Did you, so one of the four. Did you do your homework? Well, senior year, senior year I took Italian and that was eighth period and you had to go across to the other school so I had to walk across the parking lot.
Starting point is 00:16:30 So you never made it there. And there was too much temptation. My car was right there, so I would just go over the sleeve. Okay, fair. Yeah. All right, throwing it back, Serena. Do you ever go back and visit Superfin Aquatics, where you were a swim teacher, I believe, for around two years.
Starting point is 00:16:45 I know you were really close, I think, with, like, the owner maybe at one point. And, like, do you have any tips for parents, maybe who are afraid to let their kids swim? Yes, I actually love this topic. I love talking about children's swim education. I taught swim lessons for five summers, four or five summers. I did, like, private and semi-private lessons, both, like, in our backyard and out of, like, family's backyards through superfin aquatics. The owner taught me swim lessons. When you were, like, little?
Starting point is 00:17:14 I was little. Oh, cute. Until, like, I finished all my levels. She taught my sister, and then my sister worked for her for years. My sister was a very strong swimmer. And then I worked for her in the summers, like, between the university, I tried the office job. It, like, wasn't for me. And I love teaching swimming.
Starting point is 00:17:29 But my tip is so much of our world is made of water. We live on planet Earth. A lot of it's water. Teaching your kid to swim is so important. Like, it is such. a vital skill I really believe that but she won't teach our kid this one no I won't I don't believe
Starting point is 00:17:48 like the dynamic between parent and student can always be like transition to like teacher student or sorry parent child your stomachs gurgling a lot what if a kid is really afraid of the water that's okay there's like so many things you can do
Starting point is 00:18:03 like I taught a kid for like a week who would not get in the water and it's just baby steps like it just takes time you know they just need to know that they don't need to be afraid of it and like confidence will come like I sat on the stairs with that kid for like a full 30 minutes and then the next day we took another step down and then another step down and then by the end like he wasn't swimming necessarily but he would walk around the whole shallow and by himself and just like getting over that fear and like
Starting point is 00:18:32 basic water safety basic skills like your kid doesn't have to be a competitive swimmer but like having the confidence to get in the water and be able to know like I can get from you know one side of the pool to the other if I need to is like huge for a child's confidence too. But yeah, anyway, I could talk about as much. I think it's so important. I really do. I don't feel like most people know
Starting point is 00:18:55 that that's a passion of yours. So we're checking off new boxes. Okay, Joe, I feel like everyone knows at this point that you owned a grocery store. I don't know if everybody knows that you were one of the youngest traders on the Chicago Stock Exchange at 19 years old. What's the most you made in a day? and lost in a day as an equity trader and why did you decide to switch paths eventually?
Starting point is 00:19:16 Why, it's switch paths because I lost all the money that I made and it was extremely it was very stressful but I did love it. It was to me it was like the coolest job like it was so much like just crazy fun it was like walking into basically a casino every day. The most I made in a day and I was probably
Starting point is 00:19:39 21 at the time, I think I made, I think I had a day where I made 31,000 in one day. And then one day I lost, and this was all my money. I had built it up and I would constantly go back and forth. So you were investing your own money. Yeah, but I was a day trader. So it's a little different. It's not like investing in stocks. You're actually trading an index, which I was trading the NASDAQ index um and then one day i lost um i was up like nine thousand dollars for the day and there was five minutes left to go and i lost 60 000 that day so i lost like 60 grand in five minutes because i i understand why you left yeah that's like a whole year salary for something i stepped out and took a big position and then the market um i don't remember if it went up or down
Starting point is 00:20:33 but it went very fast one way and I was the wrong way and that was it. Wow. That's heavy. Yeah. I would leave too if I lost $60,000. And I was a pretty sizable trader,
Starting point is 00:20:46 but there were some guys like that would stand across from me that would very easily he could have lost like $500,000 that day. Wow. Yeah. That's intense. That's really crazy. All right, Serena, I know you guys are both big foodies, but there are some foods that I hear you hate.
Starting point is 00:21:02 bananas, mayonnaise, and black licorice. She hates bananas. I love bananas. Which is the worst? And are there any other foods? Do you hate mushrooms, I hear? I don't hate mushrooms. You don't hate mushrooms.
Starting point is 00:21:12 You are a little weird with mushrooms, though. I'm a little weird with mushrooms, but I don't hate them. It also depends. Are there other foods you hate, and which of those is the worst? No, those are literally like the only three foods that I hate. Oh, God. Okay, so like I'm a child because I think manis is literally disgusting and you should be banned. I don't like mayonnaise.
Starting point is 00:21:29 I love aolee. Like, give me a special. So I see, like, put garlic and lemon in it, and it's no longer mayonnaise. It's, like, the best thing ever. I think a yoli's just as bad. Really? Yeah, Joe is, like, a sauce on the side. I'm like a chippoli aoli.
Starting point is 00:21:42 Any aoli. Like any, I love them all, but, like, plain mayonnaise, like, get it out of my face. It's disgusting. Do you feel like bananas is a texture thing? So when I was in, like, grade one or two, one of my friends in the library, like, threw up banana. Okay, a version. That's the only thing I can, like, trace it back to you because, like, I'm not a picky eater. so, like, I don't know why I would have such an issue, but, like, if it's in a smoothie, like, I'll know.
Starting point is 00:22:06 Like, I have such, like, no banana bread, no smoothies, okay. Maybe banana bread if it's, like, I don't know. But usually banana bread has walnuts and anchicine nuts. Oh, yeah. And I don't really, but, like, I've had, like, people give me a smoothie or something. And I'm like, oh, my God, there's banana. I can't, I can't drink that. Like, I just am very sensitive to it, I guess.
Starting point is 00:22:25 I guess I'd have to take black licorish if I had to, like, pick one thing to, like, eat out of the three. I'd go with that one. Yeah. Like licorice, I feel like to grow on you. You hate goat cheese and lamb. Those are really the only two foods you don't eat. I don't, yeah, I can't. I don't know why I just can't get into lamb.
Starting point is 00:22:40 I just can't. Go cheese, I just think is gross. I bought Joe like cheddar made with goats milk. Like it was like a, and he was like, I can tell this is goat cheese. Yeah. Interesting. Okay, Joe, speaking of food. Last year you tweeted that you spent $81 in one sitting at Shake Shack.
Starting point is 00:22:56 What did you order and was that all for you? No, it wasn't all for me. It was Serena as well, but I usually, I get, like, wasn't that after the marathon? No, no, no. But I did spend, well, it's delivery fees. Oh, okay. No, delivery fees are like 49 cents. No, they.
Starting point is 00:23:13 To a dollar. And what app do you get your food from? What do you mean? 49 cents. How much are you paying for delivery fees? Look, you don't see, you're not looking at the receipt. The delivery fees, yeah, you're not, you're not, you're not. Because you think about it, even when you order Chipotle.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Shake check right now. It's $30. $30. That's heavy. But I think we did. I think we just got like, because I don't like double cheeseburger, so I'll get two singles. And then Serena got a double. And then I probably got like chicken nuggets and fries and like cheese on the side and things like that.
Starting point is 00:23:45 Okay. Fun. I do have some questions for both of you. I feel like we'll get into some of those. What is your favorite Bachelor Happy Hour interview you've done together? Okay, wait. Before we move on. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:56 49 cent delivery. She was right. Look, delivery fee. pricing and fees, 49 cents. Okay, so what do we spend on the other? Okay, that's what that says? So where are you spending your $81? I mean, I don't want to, we have a time limit here,
Starting point is 00:24:09 but I'm going to pull up receipts and then you're going to see. Okay, yeah, we'll get a screenshot. Maybe LA's different than New York. I am curious. So you guys have been hosting Bachelor Happy Hour together for a while. I want to know your favorite interview you've done and then your dream guest for the future for the podcast. That's a good question.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Favorite interview we've done. You know, we just interviewed and like it's hard because it's obviously the top of my mind because we literally just did this interview but we just interviewed dean and Kaelen and we both got married like two weeks apart like we had so much to talk about in common i feel like we're like in similar stages of life and they're just both amazing hosts and they're so conversational and they are just like two people that a we enjoy as people and b make our job as hosts so easy so that's kind of probably one of mine yeah and it is top of mind so i have to agree because I'm trying to go back and think but I can't really I mean yeah like if I really like went
Starting point is 00:25:04 through there's like so many interviews we've done that yeah I've enjoyed but that was just a fun one that we got to do recently and it was in person which is always like a luxury versus over Zoom who's your dream guest dream guest like it from bachelor nation okay so that that's it is the bachelor happy hour podcast yeah yeah um I don't know I feel like we've interviewed everyone I mean I feel like I've interviewed almost everyone in Bachelor nation at this point. Then maybe Serena because I feel like, oh, you've interviewed a lot too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:34 I think I've done a lot too. Oh, you know whose interview I really enjoyed was Hannah Brown. Oh, yeah. She was a great interview too, and there was so much to talk about with her. I'm trying to like mentally go through the times. I would love to interview Rachel Lindsay because she like was off. She was like the host of this for so long.
Starting point is 00:25:57 And like she's had such an amazing career. You know, I met for the first time at The Bachelor Mansion was Bob Guinea. And I would like, he's a big personality. Yeah, I would like to interview him because I can get him to say a lot of shit. Oh, yeah, definitely. I love that. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious. Wait a minute, Sam.
Starting point is 00:26:19 Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast. So we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with. his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now hold up, isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely
Starting point is 00:26:45 that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not. Conservative podcasts can have a major political impact, but the Myceles brothers, three siblings with a serious media strategy, are building an alternative to that. On the latest episode of
Starting point is 00:27:26 next question with Katie Couric, I sat down with the brothers behind the Midas Touch Network to talk about how they built a progressive media powerhouse from the ground up, why audience interaction is the key to political influence and what it takes to fight disinformation at scale, one download at a time. Imagine that you're on an airplane and all of a sudden you hear this.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Attention passengers. The pilot is having an emergency and we need someone, anyone, to land this plane. Think you could do it? It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control. And they're saying like, okay, pull this. Do this, pull that, turn this. It's just... I can do it in my eyes closed.
Starting point is 00:28:29 I'm Mani. I'm Noah. This is Devin. And on our new show, No Such Thing, we get to the bottom of questions like these. Join us as we talk to the leading expert on overconfidence. Those who lack expertise lack the expertise they need to recognize that they lack expertise. And then, as we try the whole thing out for real. Wait, what?
Starting point is 00:28:52 Oh, that's the run right. I'm looking at this thing. See? Listen to no such. thing on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Who's your favorite bachelor's-nation couple to double date with? Probably Abigail and Noah or Chris and Anna are probably the two people we do the most. Have we ever been on a double date with a bachelor's-nation couple?
Starting point is 00:29:19 Yeah, Chris and Anna and Abigail and Noah. Yeah. We're on vacation with Abigail and Noah. Yeah. And every time we're in Chicago, we pretty much go for dinner with a couple. Chris and Anna. Yeah. And we've been out with Kenny and Murray. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Kenny and Mari, yeah. I don't think we have a favorite, though. No. That's fair. Speaking, we talked a little about Paradise, Golden, whatnot. Would you like to see a Golden Bachelor in Paradise? And who would you want to see on that? Would you want to see?
Starting point is 00:29:41 The women want One-A? I think they do. They were at the Mansion last day. They want a Golden Bachelor in Paradise. There's also been talk about Barb Weber being the bartender. Would you want to see that? Yes. I would.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Are you strong yeses on both? Yes, I am strong. Well, okay, I would never not want to see Wells as the bartender, to be honest. True. He is the bartender of Paradise, and, like, I can't imagine anyone else. But, like, I would love to see Barb down there helping him out, making some drinks. Yeah, maybe they could do like a duo. I think they did a duo one season.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Was it, I think they did a duo bartender season. Yeah, they did with Yuki. Yeah, from Japan. Yeah, that was actually my, that was my first season, in Paradise. She's so cute. Yeah, that would be fun. I feel like all the women you said want to do it. The women want to do it.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Yeah, when we were at the, we were at Bachelor Mansion with them, they were like, we need a Bachelor in Paradise, like a Golden Bachelor in Paradise. But I don't know. Hopefully they're all taken by then, you know? True. Hopefully they find love before that comes to fruition because I think we need a Golden Bachelorette season before.
Starting point is 00:30:45 Yeah. I'm more curious to see what guys are going to get for a golden bachelorette. I know. Yeah. I feel like it's easier to imagine like the 60, 7-year-old women that are going to be on the Bachelor versus trying to imagine the 16 to 70-year-old men that are going to be on the Golden Bachelorette
Starting point is 00:31:00 if there is one. I mean, hopefully they're all like Gary. He was lovely. Yeah, truly, truly. Yeah, I hope that does happen. I know I would really like to see a Golden Bachelor in Paradise. And I think Bachelor Nation fans want to see it too. Or even like something different.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Like, I guess like the Paradise location is just so iconic. But like... Maybe like a Del Rey, Florida. Yeah, like a Boca Ratona, retreat. That's where I think, yeah, I think that's what they would do. Yeah, that'd be fun. The conditions at Paragetian. are like are too rough.
Starting point is 00:31:27 It's too rough. I actually don't know if they can do it. Yeah. There's a lot of stairs and heat and bugs. Crabbs and they need to put them, yeah, and like a bachelor mansion in Boca Ratona. I love it. I want to see it.
Starting point is 00:31:38 Boca Raton. Yeah. I don't have to say it. I didn't know that. Borgoritona does not exist. Sorry, I'm from Canada. But they could maybe maybe they could get like a little, you know, beachy.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Yeah, it could be a good. Yeah. Their version of Paradise. Yeah. I do hope they're all taken by them too. that they told me that a lot of them have been getting DM slides from that. I love that. So we'll see.
Starting point is 00:31:59 All right. I have a fun little game for you guys. Kiss Mary Kill. Okay. And I have some just some fun topics we'll discuss and I want to hear your answers. Both of you can give your answers. So the first one is pizza, pasta and burgers. Pizza pasta.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Okay, I know my answer. Let's hear it. Kill pizza. Wow. Kiss, burger, Mary, pasta. Interesting. Yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 00:32:26 I feel strongly about that. Oh, that's tough. But I would kill the burger. I would kiss the pasta and I would marry the pizza. Yeah, I would marry the pizza too. So that's a shot to the heart. I try to avoid like eating too much dairy. I mean, same.
Starting point is 00:32:43 I'm like to eat tolerant, but I still married the pizza. All right. White Lotus, Succession, and Ted Lassow. Oh, kill Ted Lassow. That's going to break some heart. Joe has some strong feelings about Ted Lasson. Well, kill Ted Lassow, kiss White Lotus, and Mary Succession. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:33:01 Easy one for me. I'm going to go kill Ted Lassow to Kiss Succession, Mary White Lotus. Okay. Speaking of TV shows, The Bachelor, the Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise. Okay, so. Mary, Bachelor in Paradise. Mary Bachelor in Paradise, obviously. Yeah, for you too.

Starting point is 00:34:01 I'm going to kill the bungee jumping date, kiss shopping, marry hot tub. Nice. Okay. And then for limo entrances, costume, prop, or as you are? Costume as in like the shark slash dolphin. Oh, okay. Crop being like bringing something like. Okay, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:19 Yeah. I'm going to kill costume. I'm going to kiss as you are. to marry prop because I did a prop and honestly like it worked well for me yeah I'm going to say kill costume um
Starting point is 00:34:33 kiss prop and I also came as I was but it didn't work but I would still marry that okay I got maybe a couple more for you Chicago Cubs Chicago Bears and Toronto Raptors Oh okay um
Starting point is 00:34:48 Kill the Raptors marry the Cubs Kiss the Bears I will marry the Raptors kiss the cubs kill the bears I mean you should kill the bears The bears have sucked for a long time Okay last one's another food one
Starting point is 00:35:04 Crescents bagels and avocado toast Oh kill avocado toast Wow I love avocado so I love it But it has to be done well A bad avocado is literally disgusting Yeah and I feel like everyone makes bad avocado toast I kill avocado toast I what was it bagel and
Starting point is 00:35:22 Crescent I do love a croissant, but I would kiss a croissant because I love bagels more. You're marrying the bagel. I'm marrying the bagel. I'm going to kill croissant, kiss avocado toast, marry bagel. I love it. That was so fun, you guys. This is great.
