This is an I-Heart podcast.
I'm Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, host of the psychology podcast.
Here's a clip from an upcoming conversation about how to be a better you.
When you think about emotion regulation, you're not going to choose an adaptive strategy
which is more effortful to use unless you think there's a good outcome.
Avoidance is easier.
Ignoring is easier.
Denials easier.
Complex problem solving takes effort.
Listen to the psychology podcast on the.
iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
So in the last month, the Midas Touch Network beat Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Candice Owens, Charlie Kirk, and Ben Shapiro all combined.
What happens when three brothers take on right-wing media and start winning? I find out on the
latest episode of Next Question with me, Katie Couric. We just want people to live their lives
and be happy and be able to enjoy it without some, you know, lunatic screaming in their face every three seconds.
Listen to next question with me, Katie Couric
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple
podcasts, or wherever you get your
podcasts. Why are
TSA rules so confusing?
You got a hood of you. I'm take it off.
I'm Manny. I'm Noah. This is
Devin. And we're best friends and journalists
with a new podcast called No Such
Thing, where we get to the bottom of
questions like that. Why are you screaming
I can't expect what to do?
Now, if the rule was the same,
go off on me. I deserve it. You know, lock him
up. Listen to No Such Thing on the
iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
No such thing.
What's up, Antoination? We're back from Joe.
I'm Serena.
Oh, you stepped in.
Yeah, well, you paused.
You paused.
I felt like you weren't going to say my name, so I took charge of that situation.
It kind of feels rude to say your name.
How many podcasts do you think we have to do before we can stop introducing ourselves at the top?
I think we always introduce ourselves at the top.
It's the top of the show.
Really? Yeah. It's not like we, like right now we're rambling a little bit, but usually I think it's just like, hey, Joe, Serena, we're back. Okay.
All right. I like it. Yeah. How are you feeling? I feel good. I'm, I'm still recovering from Cabo a little bit. Still feeling a little tired. Joe's got a beverage in front of him. I've got a ginger ale and a water. So I don't know if that tells you anything about the trip.
I actually told myself yesterday at dinner. I didn't tell myself. I told this to Serena that I'm not going to drink unless I,
by a body of water when it's hot out.
Did you say this to me?
Yeah.
Then I say that to you?
I don't think you said that to me.
I said it at dinner.
But anyways, there's a pool right here.
Okay, yeah.
We're right by, we're actually at my parents' house in the suburbs outside of Toronto right now,
enjoying their backyard.
We're in their pool house, which we've turned into our little podcast studio.
We're here for a family wedding.
And, yeah, enjoying the Canadian life.
Before we recap this episode, your Cabo trip, a lot of a lot of
influencers, influencer truck, anything you could share?
I mean, nothing, nothing too hot.
I mean, we were all out there for, we all share a mutual agent, publicist, manager, Lori
Krebs, aka Lori KPR.
A lot of people were like, what is with this?
You just plug Lori.
Yeah, just plug Lori.
A lot of people are like, what is this like random crossover episode of Bachelor, Love is Blind
and Vanderpump?
That's what we were all together, celebrating her birthday.
And, yeah, the host was really beautiful.
It was a great trip.
And you did.
Got some fun, got a tan.
You did Britney's podcast.
Yes, I did Britney's podcast.
So you can check me out over there.
Joe just cracked open another drink if you could hear that on the mic.
Yeah, so her podcast is when reality hits.
Okay.
And if you want to hear more about the trip, you can hear about it there.
But otherwise, let's get into the episode.
And you're going on your, you're really partying because you're going on your Bachelorette.
We'll talk about that next episode.
Yeah, next week come back to hear about how my Bachelorette trip went because that's coming up and I'm going to Vegas for my first time, which will be fun.
I'm going to the Cubs game, though.
Yeah, we're both busy.
All right, so recap of the episode, the guys all go, they're traveling, Oceanside, California, which is San Diego.
I've never been to San Diego.
Have you?
I've been to San Diego I've been to San Diego twice I love San Diego it's really nice
but actually people are going to disagree with this but I prefer L.A. over San Diego like I take
L.A. over San Diego any day of the week. Wow wow that's controversial. Sound off in the
comments guys what do we think L.A. or San Diego? Okay so this season so far I think it's been really
good. One of the things that I've noticed that has been different, this, we haven't seen this
in a while. I think the last time I feel like I've seen this was probably Claire slash Asia's
season. The guys seem to be taking it very seriously. So seriously. Which on some level is good.
You want them to take it seriously because there's an engagement at the end of this. But
really, really serious. Like falling in love should be fun. Yeah.
Like, this process should, you should take it seriously, but you should also be enjoying yourself.
Well, I think I've heard more guys say this season, like engagement.
Like, is he ready for engaging?
Yes.
There's a lot of talk about if they're ready, if they're here for the right reasons, like right into the gate episode two.
Now we're on episode three and like that tension is just building.
And honestly, we need that, though, because we need one of these leads to hold it down because it's been a minute.
You know, they keep calling us.
What are you talking about?
We need a lead to stay together.
Oh, yeah.
We need them to take it seriously.
We need a relationship.
We're calling us.
We were on Paradise.
We're the B-Tee.
They got,
but I will say,
I mean,
we're only on episode three,
so, like,
we'll wait to see till the end of the season,
but, like,
charity might end up being
one of my favorite bachelettes
of all time.
Like, I'm cracking up.
Are you just saying that?
No, I'm not.
I would never.
Are you just saying that?
Because this is a Baxter Nation podcast?
I would never.
And honestly,
you can go back and listen to me
on other podcasts.
I don't think I've ever dropped that bomb before.
Okay.
Okay. I really like her. Like, she has made a couple of jokes in ITMs where I'm, like, laughing out loud.
But, like, not because she's trying to be funny. Like, I just think she's got a great personality.
And she also reminds me of a lot of, like, friends of mine and stuff. So I think, like, honestly, like, I want to be friends with her.
Like, charity, if you're listening to this, like, let's be best friends.
I, I, I so far agree with all her decisions. Like, I think she's making the right decision.
Me too. I agree too.
Um, all right. So first up, what do we got? We have one-on-one date.
with Braden.
Were you surprised that she took him
on the one-on-one date
after he's had like
two weeks of controversy?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I didn't think he was
getting a one-on-one date this week.
I thought he would definitely
be on a group date,
but I wasn't,
I wasn't expecting her
to take him on a one-on-one date.
And on top of that,
I think she really likes him.
Yeah, I do too.
I think she really likes him.
I thought, I'm with you.
I thought he was going to be the guy
that, like, she was into,
but kind of got dragged along
most of the season on group dates
then goes on,
like a two on one and goes home totally that's what i thought um but they do a helicopter
another helicopter we gotta like we gotta start having a helicopter count for season like how
many helicopters are they gonna whip out on this show yeah i wonder i wonder if they if they do
if they ever do a season now like no helicopters i never that'll be groundbreaking never will that
happen okay but what's the the main thing on this one on one day they're having a good time um braiden
expresses that he doesn't know if he is ready for a engagement.
Does he say he's not ready for an engagement? Or is he more saying, like, I don't know if this
process is going to work for me and I'm going to be ready to get down on one knee at the end
of this? Like, how does? I think that's exactly what he said. Okay, because those are two different
things to me. Like being like, I am here, but like not getting down on one knee because I'm not
ready for that in my life is one thing. That's like, then why the hell are you?
here. Because she even said that. She was like, then what are we doing here? But I do think his
thing is more that he's like, I'm a skeptic of the process and like, can it work for me? And it's
still early on. So like, I do think it's fair for him to have those doubts. But like he's definitely
got to be open about that with her. And he's definitely going to be willing to try. I think his feelings
are justifiable. I really do. The main thing is if you're going on a show like The Bachelorette or The Bachelor,
we all know at the end you're supposed to get engaged if you're with the lead so you have to be
someone that is ready for a commitment an engagement a serious relationship now if you get there
and you're unsure or you don't know like is this the person I want to spend the rest of my life
with I think that's okay to feel that and I think that's what's happening I don't think he is I mean
what do you think do you think he's somebody that's like yeah I'm not right I just I didn't
come on here to get engaged.
Because that's what a lot of people are saying.
I think he, and like, this is just an assumption.
We don't know.
But I would assume Braden is like, I'll go on and we'll see what happens.
Like, I don't think he's the guy that's like, I've got the house.
I've got the dog.
I've got the career.
And I'm just missing that one piece of my life.
Okay.
But didn't you do that and didn't I do that?
Totally.
Totally.
I'm not saying like that doesn't mean it can't work out.
You know what I mean?
Like, I was young when I went on the show.
but I was very open to like, like, when we went into Paradise,
I was like, I would love to find my person here.
I was, like, really open to it.
Yeah.
And it worked out, but I wouldn't say I was like, you know,
at a place of my life where like every single piece of my life
had been really established for a long time.
I was, I was 22, three years old.
Yeah.
And Braden's 24, but it doesn't mean that it can't still work out for him.
I think his skepticism's fine, but like he's in a great area.
Yeah, he's flirting with the line.
But charity also, I think,
Charity understands where he's coming from, as of now.
It's not scaring her.
Yeah.
Like, she's definitely, like, they did the cute little baseball gesture, which I thought
was really cute.
They are very, like, playful.
And she did say, like, I wrote this down.
She wrote, she said, he's going to try.
We will hold him to that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I think that goes to show you, like she, like you said, she really likes Braden.
Like, there's no doubt about it.
Yeah.
She is, like, it's kind of similar to the Hannah
Brown Luke P situation, except I don't put.
I don't think Luke and Brayden are on the same field, but yes, I get your comparison.
Okay, so that ends, and he ends up getting a rose.
Yep.
So he's safe.
He's been open, honest.
But he's flirting with the line.
Yeah, he's flirting with the line.
And like, it's going to go one way or the other.
Either he's going to be like, honestly, I'm falling in love with you.
I'm throwing my concerns out the window.
I'm all in, or he's going to get sent home for this.
Yep.
Okay.
I'm Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, host of the psychology podcast.
Here's a clip from an upcoming conversation about exploring human potential.

Conservative podcasts can have a major political impact, but the Myceles Brothers, three siblings with a serious media strategy,
are building an alternative to that.
On the latest episode of Next Question with Katie Couric,
I sat down with the brothers behind the Midas Touch Network
to talk about how they built a progressive media powerhouse
from the ground up,
why audience interaction is the key to political influence
and what it takes to fight disinformation at scale,
one download at a time.
We should be focusing on the issues
that actually occupy a lot of the mental space in Americans' minds,
but are filled with conspiracies, and we should fill it with the truth and solutions.
Listen to next question with me, Katie Couric on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine that you're on an airplane, and all of a sudden you hear this.
Attention passengers. The pilot is having an emergency, and we need someone, anyone, to land this plane.
Think you could do it? It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could live.
land the plane with the help of air traffic control.
And they're saying like, okay, pull this, until this.
Pull that. Turn this. It's just, I can do it my eyes close.
I'm Mani. I'm Noah. This is Devin.
And on our new show, no such thing, we get to the bottom of questions like these.
Join us as we talk to the leading expert on overconfidence.
Those who lack expertise lack the expertise they need to recognize that they lack
expertise. And then, as we try the whole thing out for real.
Wait, what?
Oh, that's the run right.
I'm looking at this thing.
Listen to No Such Thing on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
So now we have Barbie Group Date.
Barbie Group Date.
The movie's coming out with Ryan Gosling and Margo Robbie.
Yep.
I'm so excited.
Are we going to see that?
We are.
It comes out the same day as Oppenheimer.
or so yeah i i really want to see i know i know but barbie's gone above and beyond with their
marketing yeah well they just marketed on um on the bachelor and we have a barbie date we have
jojo and jordan there to host it um which they great hosts they're a really great host
yeah like 10 out of 10 very professional love watching them yeah super professional i really yeah
i agree um okay so then they all are singing so they have to dress up like kens yeah
You're the fashion person on the show.
Yep.
Any, any Ken costume stuck out to you?
I really liked Doughton's astronaut costume with the blonde wig.
I thought it was funny and memorable and adorable.
I thought that Sean literally looks like Ken.
Like, he was in the denim on denim, and I was like, you could play Ken in, like, a movie.
She's Justin Timberlake in the all-dening.
Yeah, he's wearing the Canadian tuxedo.
Yeah, he is.
He does. He looks like a boy band. He should, boy band member. He should reach out to Kenny
and get something going. Literally. Literally. And then I obviously cannot forget to mention John
as birthday suit can. That was shocking and concerning and hilarious. And I loved it.
Birthday. Yeah. He was literally like the full like onesie. He looked like a baby,
like a sour patch kid doll. I thought they're all naked. Out of all from that. That was the
creepiest love. It was so creepy. It was so creepy, but like, respect for John for how he handled it.
Not to throw us off, but do you think she's into John? Because John was somebody that you thought
would be in the top four. Okay, I think, and like, I want to see more of John. I was actually
hoping John was going to get a one-on-one this week, but I'm rooting for him next week. I still think
he's going to go far. I still am like holding out hopes for him in my top four. I'm wondering if
it's more of a friendship. I was going to say friends zone. Than a romantic.
connection. But we'll see. Friendships can turn into romantic connections. You never know.
Okay. But I still like him. I think she likes him. But I, yeah, I've yet to see like some serious
chemistry there. I agree. I agree. But he's very likable. Yeah. You can tell he is very likable.
So then we have Sean makes a power move, makes out with her, which we're seeing through this
season charity respects somebody. She loves it. She loves it. I actually, I would,
I was, like, surprised that she was like, good for you, dude.
Grab me and make out with me in front of everyone.
I don't care.
Yep.
I couldn't agree with me.
Because I thought Dotten did a really cute job of, like, grabbing her and pulling her up on stage and, like, saying to her, like, including her in his performance and kind of creating, like, a special moment.
Sean was just like, get over here, charity.
Let's suck face in front of everyone.
She was like, I'm down for that.
Which is what you have to do when you're competing against 25 guys and you got to make the move.
By the way, after the row ceremony, I was shocked at how many guys are left.
I'm like, where are all the guys?
Oh, my God.
There's no one there for episode three and there's like 10 guys left.
The season's over.
They're like, I'm like, we're...
Okay, but we've also been saying, like, they're being very obvious, in my opinion
with who are her, like, main dues.
Like, you're either getting a lot of screen time or you're not getting any screen time
in terms of, like, showing off their relationships with charity.
for sure but i think she did start with only 25 guys so it was a smaller group which i like me
me too by the way my dad has called me three times and he's texting serena i was going to say your
dad just texting just ignore him right now he's going to get mad at me for that too um okay so after
the date um all the guys are this is where charity chooses who's going to get the uh the group date rose
yeah does that one's group well no sean got a little like extra
side time before the cocktail party. Is that what you're talking about? Well, we're getting there,
right? Yeah. We're not on the same page in this moment. The group day rose is like way later on,
like after the cocktail party. Oh, okay. So she gave out like a little special one-on-one time,
and then they went to the cocktail party. Oh. Fair. Okay. Go ahead. Let's talk about that.
Okay, so basically she says, hey, Sean, thanks for making out with me on stage. Let's go do it a little more
on the side one-on-one time rewarded him for like stepping out making her feel special i forgot about
she definitely is a girl that like likes it when a guy makes it known how he feels about her and like shows
it off which i can respect that oh caleb b Caleb b was like the guy he was singing i wrote in
my notes but can't he sing question mark yeah he definitely approached that with a significant amount
of confidence so i'm like oh this guy's like a country singer on the down low me too that's what i
thought. That was not what he gave off with his performance. But, you know, he had some notes. He had
some pipes. But I do like him. I like him. He wore a bright, not bright. He wore a printed floral
suit to the rose ceremony this episode. And I was like, I love a risk taker. He, in my opinion,
is a 1,000% Paradise guy. Like, I'm watching him. I'm like, this guy is going to be on Paradise. He's
not going to end up with charity. No, no, no. I don't think anyone's thinking he's ending up
with charity at this point, but I would love to see him on Paradise. I feel like he's got
way more of a personality than we're seeing. Yeah. Okay, let's jump to the night portion of the
group date. Okay, thank you. You're welcome. Thank you. So Sean comes in. He comes in singing
his Ken song as his entrance because he's like the last one to come in. Yeah. I don't know.
I mean that like, listen, I'm not that type of guy that's going to show off, show off and walk
and start singing right away.
But. I mean, like, he's trying to stir the pot.
You know what I mean? Like, Sean is trying to stir the pot.
I don't, like, all the guys were extremely serious.
And they saw, like, Sean made a move immediately when she walked in and pulled her.
And all the guys are like, that's bullshit.
Like, you got extra time.
You crushed on the date.
Like, why would you do that?
That was selfish.
But he's out for himself right now, which he kind of should be.
Yeah, I mean, look, it is selfish.
And if I was on that group date, I'd be like, it's not the classiest move.
Like, you just got extra time with him.
Sorry, you just got extra time with her.
Now you're coming in.
You're stealing her right again.
Like, you could have waited 100%.
Like, I wouldn't do that.
But the guys that are staying there being like, Sean just pulled her and now I'm going to go home because of that.
You're not going home because of that.
And you could have also stepped in.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
And like, yeah, I'm just like,
This is just how it kind of goes.
It's kind of shame on them.
Well, you're going to believe it at every other guy?
Well, what I'm saying is like, hey, listen, like, if you are going to be upset, like,
I agree, it's not a classy movie.
But if you're going to be upset that he did that, you should have stepped in.
Yes, because if I was sitting there, I would be like, you know what, that sucks.
But, like, that's not who I am.
I'm just not going to be that person that steps up and grabs her right away.
So I just got to own that.
Yeah.
And hopefully I'll get some time with her later.
Yeah.
I agree.
But it doesn't even matter for Sean because she ends up taking Doughton to her bedroom.
Why is that so funny?
I just couldn't believe how much they were like, okay, so the group dates downstairs,
but me and Doughton are going up to my bedroom right now.
I wrote in my notes that charity likes all the other guys, but loves Dottie.
Did you?
I wrote, she's lost when she.
She gets lost when she looks at him.
You wrote, she gets lost when he looks at him?
She does.
Like she, it's like, she gets lost in his eyes.
That's what you wrote down?
Yeah, yeah.
It's the convert, in my opinion, in my opinion, the conversation with Doughton and her, it's like, I just, I see and feel a shift in her.
No, they're like soul, they're like soulmates.
Like, I truly believe they have the most powerful connection out of anyone on the show.
I agree.
Like, it's beautiful.
It's really beautiful to watch.
And if they don't end up together, I'm going to be crushed.
Yeah.
Like, and they've made a point of showing us as viewers and telling us that she has basically
created a private special environment for him on every single occasion.
Every episode.
Every single episode so far.
She's like, okay, guys, me and Dotten are going upstairs now, which, like, good for you.
Get your time.
I love it.
I love that she's making him feel special.
It's basically like all the other.
other guys, like, you compete.
Doughton.
You don't have to.
I'll call you later.
You got my number.
Hit me up.
I can't wait until
charity or
Dotton are on the podcast.
Like, I can't wait to talk to both of them.
Yeah.
I just, I'm so infatuated with their connection.
Okay, so Dotten ends up getting the rows,
which.
Shocker.
Well, you know, honestly, though, it could have been Sean.
She could have, you could have, you could have went Sean.
Like, he did step out.
He made some moves.
But let's face it, Charity's not in Deshaun.
I think she respected the move.
I just don't think she's into it.
Okay, next day.
Next day.
We're on to Argyne Warwick.
It was a rough, rough one-on-one date.
If we're awkwardly silent on this right now, that's because that's what the date was.
It was very, and I'm an awkward person.
But I watched it, I was like, this is.
Do you think they made it look worse than it was?
Or do you think they actually probably made it look better than it was?
I would say, I mean, it's TV.
So you never know.
Like, it could definitely...
I feel like it was more awkward than what we got to see.
Like, I feel like based on Charity's interviews, like, it was truly very uncomfortable.
And there was just nothing there.
Well, you see, when he's going home, the producer's asking the questions.
He's just, like, fall in the scene.
Yeah, he's like, night, I'm done.
which I kind of like, all right, you know what?
Yeah, I mean, you're done.
Your job is done.
You're off the show.
I'm kind of glad, though, like that he, that was him throughout the whole thing.
Like, I'm glad that, like, at the end, he wasn't like, oh, like, I really liked her.
Like, he was like, oh, like, that would have never worked.
Yeah, yeah, I like that, too.
I like that, too.
Like, at least he owns who he is.
Yeah.
But there was no chemistry.
He's a beautiful-looking man.
And they would have made a gorgeous couple, but just nothing between them.
I also couldn't believe that they made them wear black tie to the carnival.
I would have been so mad walking around in a gown and heels.
The tuxedo, yeah, that was rough.
I was like, this is the opposite.
Like, he really should be in shorts and a tank top.
Yeah, 100%.

On the latest episode of Next Question with Katie Couric, I sat down with the brothers behind the Midas Touch Network to talk about how they built a progressive media powerhouse from the ground up, why audience interaction is the key to political influence and what it takes to fight disinformation at scale, one download,
at a time. We should be focusing on the issues that actually occupy a lot of the mental space
in Americans' minds but are filled with conspiracies, and we should fill it with the truth
and solutions. Listen to next question with me, Katie Couric on the IHeart Radio app, Apple
podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Imagine that you're on an airplane and all of a sudden
you hear this. Attention passengers. The pilot is having an emergency.
And we need someone, anyone, to land this plane.
Think you could do it?
It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control.
And they're saying like, okay, pull this, until this.
Pull that, turn this.
It's just, I can do it in my eyes close.
I'm Manny.
I'm Noah.
This is Devin.
And on our new show, no such thing.
We get to the bottom of questions like these.
Join us as we talk to the leading expert on overconfidence.
Those who lack expertise
lack the expertise they need
to recognize that they lack expertise.
And then as we try the whole thing out for real.
Wait, what?
Oh, that's the run right.
I'm looking at this thing.
See?
Listen to no such thing on the Iheart radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
But like, hey, you know what?
There was zero connection there.
We all saw it.
So at least they looked good.
I don't think either of them were upset about him going home.
That's what it is.
It is what it is.
Do you think we'll see him in paradise?
No.
Do you?
No.
I don't think so.
I just, there's certain people that, like, in good for them, like, rightfully so.
Like, some people are just, like, just can't do reality TV.
And that's totally fine.
said to charity that he was like hesitant to get into a relationship and she was like what like
what are you doing here that oh i actually not even an engagement like a relationship we always ask
contestants that come on this show like hey how did you get on the show like i'm actually
curious how did warwick get on i feel like he got like scouted or yeah dm of like hey you're
you're pretty come on uh come on a bachelor and he was like yeah yeah i think he's like sure let's see
this goes. I don't think he said that. He was just like, yeah, okay. Sure. We'll see how this goes
was too many words. Yeah. Like, no, he's just like, all right. Yeah, like, let's do it. Okay,
so he goes home. No skin off anyone's back there. Like, no, he's fine. She's fine. Everyone's fine.
I don't think the guys were shocked. All right. And then, um, now we have the drama. Now later this week,
we are going to drop our interview with Aaron B. But Aaron B is now kind of, he's in the center of
the drama because he goes up to charity at the cocktail, at the cocktail party saying that
Braden is openly saying he's not ready for an engagement. He shouldn't be here.
Basically, yeah, yeah, that's what he does. Yeah. Kind of tells on Brayden.
How do we feel? You know, because the one thing, so,
I do feel like Braden did say all this stuff to charity, right?
Maybe not, maybe he didn't articulate it the same way, but right?
Yeah, I mean, correct me if I'm wrong.
I do think he's articulating it differently, but I think the overall message that he's saying
to charity and the guys is kind of the same.
So it's like, I feel like he's so open with the guys to an extent because he's like, well,
I've already told this to charity.
Like, there's nothing that you can pull from what I'm saying here to tell her that I haven't
already told her.
Like, he's been really open with all of his concerns with charity.
Yeah.
And I just don't know if I feel like it's been going on long enough for this many guys
to be running back and telling charity.
I will say, do you want to go first?
Well, I am going to say, well, because I'm going to say that I'm actually surprised that
most the guys in the house.
And that's kind of a tell.
Most of the guys in the house disagreed with Aaron.
Most of the guys in the house, like, what do you do it?
Yeah.
Like, that was totally unnecessary.
Yeah.
And I will say, I respect Aaron for going back to Brayden and saying, hey, just letting you know, I told her this.
Because I hate it when the guys, like, rat on someone else.
And then they just, like, don't say anything.
And everyone's like, who told her, who told her?
And they're just, like, hiding in the back.
Like, wasn't me.
Do we think that?
Because Brayden was on this podcast and basically insinuated that.
him and Aaron were tight.
Did he insinuates that?
Yes, yes, he did.
Yes, he did.
So maybe they get over this hub?
No, no, no.
I'm saying he's,
oh, wait, yeah.
He was, they were tight
until this went down.
Yes, yes.
So which, listen, I don't know.
I don't really agree with Aaron doing it.
He, he said he's doing it to protect charity.
What do we think?
Do you think Braden's,
I think it's a little bit of both?
I think Aaron B and
his mind is like maybe he's a very protective person and does feel like, you know, the things that
Braden is saying should be told to charity. But maybe Braden's a little right too, where he's saying,
like, I've got a rose once again. I got the first impression rose. Now I've got the one-on-one
rose. And maybe there's a little bit of jealousy and insecurity floating around on Aaron B's side. I don't
know. I'm curious to talk to him more about it. He'll have like hindsight now. He's, he's a, he's a
He's competing. He's competing for a woman. He's a competitor. And he saw an in to take out
competition. And he took advantage of it. Was he an athlete at all? He's in good shape.
I'm always curious to see if there's like innate competitive nature. Like if he was like,
and I don't know. Do you know what I mean? Like I find like people that are like high level
athletes have that like intense competition within them that you might see him out and shows like
this more. I think on this show like in general, unless you're somebody like Warwick who just
truly doesn't give a fuck it's very hard not to get competitive once you're there because then
you're like you're wrapped up in it it's so easy to get wrapped up in it totally no shade on him
if he was feeling competitive in that moment um so we get we go to the rose ceremony uh now that
you know it's it's being thrown out there that potentially brayden's going to get his rose
ripped off um yeah she's like i will pluck that off your chest
which I loved.
Did you think she was going to do that?
I did not think she was going to do it,
but I wanted her to just because it would have been exciting to watch.
Yeah.
And honestly,
at this point,
I know Braden's definitely getting a lot of hate.
Like,
there's no doubt about it.
I have a love-hate relationship with him genuinely.
I do.
Because he is in this gray area of like,
you know,
he's walking a tightrope of like,
is he totally off the deep end
or does he kind of have some validity in what he's saying?
Yeah.
And he's just having this like different experience.
on the rest of the guys.
Yeah.
I think I think Braden's fault is he's talking about he's too open about what he's
feeling in the moment to the guys.
Yes.
He needs to put a little bit of a filter on.
Like what you're saying at charity is great.
She doesn't really have an issue with it.
She's keeping you here.
Stop talking to the guys about how you feel.
100%.
That's where the problems come on.
I don't think I ever talked to the girls in my season.
about my relationship, like, at all.
And I feel like that keeps everyone's relationships protected the most.
Yeah, for sure.
Like, and that's honestly, if you're listening to this podcast
and there's a chance that you're going on,
The Bachelor of Bachelorette, keep shit to yourself.
Yeah, keep your relationship to yourself.
It's your business.
It's not their business.
And, like, you can see the guys that there's some frontrunners for sure.
Totally.
Dot, Joey.
Aaron B.
Aaron B.
Braden.
Maybe Exxie.
years. I wouldn't, yeah, but like,
no, I'm not, let's
exclude Braden. Joe doesn't agree. Let's
exclude Braden out of this. The
stronger front runners, in my opinion, are
kind of staying for themselves. But you
see that every year. Someone
that goes to the lead
and tells on another dude,
I don't think has ever ended
up engaged at the end of this show. No,
no way. I agree.
I don't think they ever will either.
And yeah, and there's a reason for that.
Because you only get, here
the thing you only get so much time i got to step saying here's the thing i say it all the time you only get so
much time with the lead so if your conversation that you're getting is about someone else that's an issue
yeah like doten and charity are not talking about anyone else except their feelings for each other
oh yeah because they're in love with each other yeah they definitely are but i yeah i think
it's if you're going to be the person that's like I really, really, really need to tell
her. Like we saw on Clayton season, a lot of the girls came to Clayton and talked about
Sarah in the house, right? Yeah. And that was like way into the season. And it had been going on
for weeks to the point where these girls were like, we want to go home. Like, that's how bad this
has gotten. Yeah. Then I get it, you know? Especially, and if the leads asking you, absolutely be
honest. But Aaron B made a risky move here by bringing this to charity. I'm curious to see how it
affects the relationship moving forward because Brayden is still here. Yeah. And I honestly, I think it
I think it was the bad move. But we have them coming on later this week. So we are going to ask
him what he was thinking that did he regret it? We see clips for next week.
Mm-hmm. Looks explosive. Looks explosive. And from the trailer, it looks like Aaron
he's the winner. Yes, right? It does. And as soon as you start threatening to beat someone up on the
show, you cannot threaten violence. You're going home. You shouldn't do it ever, but you're on a
reality TV show. Yeah. You cannot threaten violence. Yeah, unless you're Jamie Kennedy at the
Vanderpump Rules reunion. Wow. What's that. Yeah. What a niche reference for you at
least. Not for the general population, but I'm shocked. I'm shocked right now, what just came out of your mouth.
It's James Kennedy also, by the way. It's not Jamie Kennedy. But that's okay. We're going to let that
one slide. Oh, man. Okay. You know, guys, I think we're going to wrap this. We have Aaron B.
coming on later this week. Make sure you stay tuned in. Make sure to subscribe if you're not already
because we're dropping our exclusive interview with Aaron B. And we're going to hear more about a story
later on this week.
Be sure to tune in.
I'm Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, host of the psychology podcast.
Here's a clip from an upcoming conversation about how to be a better you.
When you think about emotion regulation,
we're not going to choose an adaptive strategy which is more effortful to use unless you think
there's a good outcome.
Avoidance is easier.
Ignoring is easier.
Denials easier.
Complex problem solving.
Takes effort.
