Starting point is 00:00:19 Hey, Matt, hey, Bowen. Hi, Cookie. Hi. Listen to two guys five rings on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. In the middle of the night, Saskia awoke in a haze. Her husband, Mike, was on his laptop. What was on his screen would change Saskia's life forever. I said, I need you to tell me exactly what you're doing.
Starting point is 00:00:53 And immediately, the mask came off. You're supposed to be safe. That's your home. That's your husband. Listen to Betrayal Season 5 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. 1969, Malcolm and Martin are gone. America is in crisis. And at Morehouse College, the students make their move.
Starting point is 00:01:16 These students, including a young Samuel L. Jackson, locked up the members of the board of trustees, including Martin Luther King's Senior. It's the true story of protests and rebellion in black American history that you'll never forget. I'm Hans Charles. I'm in a little like Lamouba. Listen to the A building on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You can scroll the headlines all day and still feel empty. I'm Ben Higgins, and if you can hear me, is where culture meets the soul. Honest conversations about identity, loss, purpose, peace, faith, and everything in between.

And if you've ever felt like there has to be more to the story, this show is for you. Listen to if you can hear me on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Over the last couple years, didn't we learn that the folding chair was invented by black people because of what happened in Alabama? This Black History Month, the podcast, Selective Ignorance with Mandy B, unpacked black history and culture with comedy, clarity, and conversations that shake the status quo. The Crown Act in New York was signed in July of 2019, and that is a bill that was passed to prohibit discrimination based on hair styles, associated with race.
Starting point is 00:02:32 To hear this and more, listen to Selective Ignorance with Mandy B from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour's Golden Hour. Thanks so much for joining us today. We're going to have fun today, aren't we, Cab? We are going to have so much fun. First of all, I'm still, I'm frozen. I have a sweatshirt on because I'm so cold.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Is it cold where you are, Susan? Kathy, it has to be 60 or 70 where you are. She gets cold in the 60s. I'm cold. We just hit 30. Congratulations. No, that's reverse hell is what that is. We've been in the teens.
Starting point is 00:03:19 All right. Well, today we have a very special guest. She is actually my neighbor in Austin, Texas. Please welcome from Mel's season of the Golden Bachelor, Cindy. Hi, Cindy. Welcome, welcome. Thank you so much for asking for a big on. Oh, thank you.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Is that hair a wig? I swear. It's all you. But I'm getting it done. We're looking at the final days of it. She's going to get a little shorter. Anyway, we're doing that. It's beautiful.
Starting point is 00:03:50 You look gorgeous. How are you? How's life? Because we're about to get into some big stuff here. We're going to get to town. I'm doing great. Listen, my life has moved on. As you guys know, I'm living my life.
Starting point is 00:04:04 And I'm grateful that you invited me on. the timing is ironic. I don't think either any of us would have predicted this, but it might be perfect time. It might. Okay. I just have a conversation. I just want to say for anyone who doesn't know Cindy, I've gone out with Cindy a few times in Austin. We've gone to dinner. Cindy is amazing. First of all, she knows everyone in Austin. She can get you a dinner reservation in any restaurant you want in Austin. But I have to tell the story, Cindy, before we get into it. Cindy and I went out with a couple of her girlfriends, I don't know, a few weeks ago. And Cindy, we went to dinner, we went to a show, and then we went to this hot spot bar,
Starting point is 00:04:44 which I won't mention by name. And Cindy says, girls, and she looked, you know, hot as she always does. And Cindy goes, we're all going to have a drink. And there's going to be guys that will want to buy us all drinks. And I'm like, no way. No, that was you. That was you. I'm going to stop this great right now.
Starting point is 00:05:02 You said, Cindy, go to the bar. Those two guys are checking us out. You need to go to the bar. Now you can pick the rest of the story up. Okay. I said they're checking you out, Cindy. I did not say anything about me. I was dressed in a kilt and loafers.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Oh, so. So Cindy goes over to the bar, this very good looking guy, starts chatting her up. And the rest of us are sitting there going, yep, just watch Cindy do her magic work. And what happens? Literally, two minutes later, drinks are delivered to our table from the guy. So do not mess with Cindy because what she says is going to happen is going to happen. Now, have you done to learn how to manifest? Got to learn how to manifest.
Starting point is 00:05:42 All right. So now with that's an intro, did you have a board ever? As that is an intro, we are going to get into it today. All right. Cindy. I don't even know where to begin. I can't believe it's a few months ago. I know the finale was just a few months ago.
Starting point is 00:06:00 How has life been for you? Just start at the beginning. Feed us. Since the finale. I mean, I tell you going through, you guys know, like once you're on the show, you tape it, you film it, you get off the show whenever you get off and you can't say anything about it until really you're off the episodes. And for me, that was still the very dropped dead end.
Starting point is 00:06:19 And I spent, you know, I feel like I've dedicated a good portion of last 2025 to the show because I left my life behind and I just didn't catch up to it again until November. So I had November and part of December just I did a ton of podcast in that time and relived it all. And then from December, I kind of asked to take a pause when my family was here and you guys invited me to come on here today. So I've just in this last month started to put my real life back together. Right, right. What has changed for you since coming off the show? I think I have a newfound perspective of how.
Starting point is 00:07:03 strong I am, how much I really do know what I want, and that I'm still saying yes to the opportunities in front of me, and the life is still delivering a lot of fun. My kids have been amazing. I've learned, you know, I've learned to really listen to my kids, too. Like, they've been leaning on me for advice for all these years, and now I really feel like I can lean on them for advice. So that's what did your kids say? What have your kids said since you've come off the show what are their thoughts on what's been going on okay so i've mentioned this before maybe one or two podcasts but you know they did not like him wait could we just who is him just so you know in case mr mel owens from the bachelor season two so at home downs he had a chance to meet he meaning
Starting point is 00:07:53 mel owens um you know it's a chance to meet my three kids and my two son-in-laws and after the taping and you know we saw what we saw on tv but but there's a lot that goes on behind there and I didn't get to see them after they left I really they just like we had our own thing here actually up here in my condo and so my kids went and debriefed that was a lot for them right they're not on a TV show this was all new to them it happened fast they're all my they're meeting this person who's dating their mom and they know it must be final three or so they know it's getting serious that I mean this is their mom and so they go to eat at this great Mexican place. Kathy, you would know it. And afterwards, it was after one margarita
Starting point is 00:08:41 for sure. Maybe two margaritas. You're dead. I know exactly what you're talking about after two you're dead. But keep on. Yeah, after two, you're dead. They were out on the patio drinking margaritas and they had the vision to make a video. And they just started the video and said, okay, Sarah, what do you think about Mel? Emily, what do you think about Mel? Caroline, and they asked, all five of them. So it is a, it is a documented right after they met, what do they think about him? And they just were like, dear Lord, please don't let my mom be in a relationship with him. Wow. So they are clicking their heels right about now so grateful that he's not a part of our lives.
Starting point is 00:09:21 Wow. Wow. I know when you came home, you were just, I'm sure, in a certain way. Not even feeling like yourself, what everything that you just witnessed. and decided to do, what did the girls say to you at that point? Thank God you didn't. And did you feel that way then? Susan, I'm so glad you're actually talking about this because this has been one of those mind shifts that I've had to deal with. I can't help.
Starting point is 00:09:49 None of my friends know what happened. My kids know what happened and they hated him. So there was really nobody in my life that was able to talk about and help me process. I mean, they did, but in a different way. that it really was a heartbreak for me. Like I had hoped that this man that I had met and I watched the Bachelor shore up and create these dates and this, you know, who I thought he was. And now I decided to leave.
Starting point is 00:10:17 It's still a heartbreak even though that was my decision to walk away. I was really invested. I'd really hope that that was going to be him. You were up to the last, yeah. Okay. So I know you've answered this on other shows, but just one. and for all because our podcast is the definitive answer to all things, Cindy and Mel. Do you regret, and you know, I asked you this privately, but let's do it on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Do you regret not going to the fantasy suite with him? Do you think things would have been different had you gone? I learned what I needed to know before going to the fantasy suite. And could he have filled in some of the details, some of the intricacies, of course. Like we have, like I said before, we have a lifetime of learning ahead of us. I knew enough at that time that he was not my patch. We are not aligned. Okay, so I'm just going to say now for everyone listening that I don't really know what's going on in the world of Mel and Pegg because they've blocked me and I don't know why. I'm just putting it out there. But I have a question about when I heard Mel on
Starting point is 00:11:31 on Ben and Ashley's podcast. He said that all you wanted was marriage. I didn't hear that. So I want you to clarify that too. Is that what you said you just wanted marriage? No, no. No, it's not what I wanted. And I didn't even necessarily need an engagement by the end of the week.
Starting point is 00:11:51 But this man hadn't thought about his life with anybody in it. He was using the show, admittedly, to kind of figure out what he wants. I don't, okay, he and Peg have. found each other and water, water finds its own level. And so I think that they are well, they are well matched. They, they want exactly nothing, the same. They, they want no responsibility, no, and they may move forward. They may change your minds. More power to them. I've spent a lot of time and a lot of energy focusing on knowing what I want. And I already learned that's, that's, that's not what I wanted. And so I too have been blocked.
Starting point is 00:12:31 by Peg and Mouth. You have a long time. It's been a blessing for me. I do hear what's going on because Bachelor Nation is a real thing. And I have people who are watching my back from afar, people who don't know me who will kind of, you know, message me and say, hey, what they're saying. This is a rumor that they're spreading.
Starting point is 00:12:55 And just let me know. And I appreciate that. But I'm really grateful not to have to witness this firsthand. because if they were so happy, they just need to move on and leave me out of it. I've given my perspective. I've been asked to give them a perspective. I've told the truth. And you may have a different perspective and you're allowed to have a different perspective,
Starting point is 00:13:16 but you can't argue with truth. I have a question for you. On the show, did you and Peg have a relationship? Was she one of the ones that you were closer to or had fun with or shared stories with or know. She is the only one in the house that I stayed away from. I don't know how much I want to go into it, but it was interesting to see the edits come out this season about Nicole, because in my opinion, Nicole was not the problem of the house. And, but I have great friends up and down. It's not like I was isolated. I've got some very good friends, and I wish Pegged nothing but the best.
Starting point is 00:13:57 She didn't do anything to me, but she certainly was, was, you know, kind of had some ill intent and try to lay evil in the lives of some other women that I didn't appreciate and I didn't trust her. Now, you know, you can't say that without, I mean, you've got to explain what that means because if I, Peg, listen to this, I would say, whoa, whoa. So you can't. It's offensive, yeah. Yeah, I mean, I listen, I don't know why she blocked me. All I've ever done is wish them both well. I think I'm guilty by association with you, Cindy. So, you know, it's your fault.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Iheart Radio is throwing it back. 20s, the decade. To the days of huge hits and unforgettable albums. A non-stop stream of the biggest and best. Drake, Rihanna, Beyonce, Katie Gaga, the weekend. And more. All your decade defining favorites all in one place. Hi, it's Katie Perry.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Hey, it's Brun Marz. This is Kesha. Find 2010's The Decade on the free IHeart Radio app. preset the station so it's always one tap away what do you do in the headlines don't explain what's happening inside of you i'm ben higgins and if you can hear me is where culture meets the soul a place for real conversation each episode i sit down with people from all walks of life celebrities thinkers and everyday folks and we go deeper than the polished story we talk about what drives us what shapes us and what gives us hope we get honest about the best of the
Starting point is 00:15:30 Big stuff. Identity when you don't recognize yourself anymore. Loss that changes you. Purpose when success isn't enough. Peace when your mind won't slow down. Fake when it's complicated. Some guests have answers. Most are still figuring it out. If you've ever felt like there has to be more to the story,
Starting point is 00:15:49 this show is for you. Listen to if you can hear me on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Bowen-Yen. And I'm Matt Rogers. This season of the Two Guys Five Rings podcast, in the lead-up to the Milan-Cortina-2020 Winter Olympic Games, we've been joined by some of our friends. Hi, Bowen, hi, Matt, hi, Matt, hey, Bowen.
Starting point is 00:16:17 Hi, Cookie. Now, the Winter Olympic Games are underway, and we are in Italy to give you experiences from our hearts to your ears. Listen to Two Guys Five Rings on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Welcome to the A building. I'm Hans Charles. I'm Inalick Lamouba.
Starting point is 00:16:39 It's 1969. Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. Have both been assassinated. And Black America was out of breaking point. Writing and protests broke out on an unprecedented scale. In Atlanta, Georgia, at Martin's Almermata, Moore House College, the students had their own protest. It featured two prominent figures in black history,
Starting point is 00:17:00 Martin Luther King's senior and a young student, Samuel L. Jackson. to be in what we really thought was a revolution. I mean, people would die. 1968, the murder of Dr. King, which traumatized everyone. The FBI had a role in the murder of a Black Panther leader in Chicago. This story is about protest. It echoes in today's world far more than it should, and it will blow your mind. Listen to the A-building on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get.
Starting point is 00:17:34 at your podcast. In the middle of the night, Saskia awoke in a haze. Her husband, Mike, was on his laptop. What was on his screen would change Saskia's life forever. I said, I need you to tell me exactly what you're doing.
Starting point is 00:17:54 And immediately, the mask came off. You're supposed to be safe. That's your home. That's your husband. to keep this secret for so many years. He's like a seasoned pro. This is a story about the end of a marriage,
Starting point is 00:18:16 but it's also the story of one woman who was done living in the dark. You're a dangerous person who prays on vulnerable and trusting people. Your creditor, Michael Levin Good. Listen to Betrayal Season 5 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:18:34 But seriously, what is the thing that, can you expand on that a little bit? Or did any of the other women feel the same way? Well, yes, and I think one other woman in particular has already spoken out on social media that had bullied her in the house. And so I'll let her speak to her moment. But, you know, okay, this is what I want to say. For all of you youngers out there who believe that this doesn't happen, that bullying and mean girl behavior, doesn't happen when you're golden, you're wrong.
Starting point is 00:19:13 The only thing that changes is we have enough wisdom and we have enough history to maybe respond differently to it. So I don't want to get into it. I think that Pegg has some very amazing redeeming qualities to her. And we all do and we all have those sides of us that we may need to still work on. And as a golden, as somebody who knows better, I choose better. And some people are still stuck in their patterns of bullying and try to manipulate. And honestly, that's how I feel that she's behaving with me.
Starting point is 00:19:48 She's trying to play this with me too. And I've told my kids, you know, you can let a bully, bully you for so long. But at some point, how long do you allow it to continue? And I'm on the podcast today to say, this is, I'm putting a stop to it today. She's going to have to put a stop to it. She's going to have to stop talking about it. I have done nothing but be flattering and positive about Mel and Peg. You wish them well, yes, yes. Amen.
Starting point is 00:20:16 So here's my question, Cindy. Why? Because it's actually is my question. Why do you think when I've listened to Mel, particularly Mel, on other podcasts, he really does just to show I keep up with younger people. He casts a lot of shade on you. And I'm trying to figure out why. What's your take on that?
Starting point is 00:20:38 Why do you think he does that? Because theoretically, he's very happy with Peg. So why bother? Why bother? Like, that's me. If I met the guy of my dreams and I'm still hoping he's around the corner, I wouldn't be wasting time talking about the runner-up of anything. I would just be moved on.
Starting point is 00:20:58 So what's your take on that? Well, I mean, let me go one step further. If you're in love with Pegg, it's always been Peg. Why do you give a flip if I walked out on you? Yeah, that's my question. That's what it is. That's my question. Why do you think that?
Starting point is 00:21:13 I think both cannot be true and he's going to have to figure out, you know, which one it is, but you can't make both of them true. And I think that there's enough in there. Just go back and watch the show. Watch the show. Listen to the podcast. I think that it's pretty evident that, you know, he now has a very strong relationship with Pegg. More power to him.
Starting point is 00:21:34 But it was not. He was that way. It was not from the get-go. It was not from the cheer. It was not from the, just whatever he wants to try to say. Like, it just wasn't. So I don't know. Sometimes you just can't, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:51 You could talk to me about your perspective, but the truth is still the truth. And what makes me happy is you've moved on. That is finished. That chapter is closed. And now it's about you. It's about... It is, but let me, come on.
Starting point is 00:22:06 It's just a little hard. It's not like I haven't lost sleep over, you know, Peg posted something on She's All Batch that she wanted to go on the podcast. She asked to go on the podcast, which, by the way, you know, as a ringmanor, you should be invited. I wonder why she wasn't invited to start with. But, you know, she was, she posted that I was lying and that the truth will come out. And then there was a, what were you lying about? What were you lying?
Starting point is 00:22:34 Susan, you and I swear to God, we say the same thing. What were you lying about? I encourage you to go watch. She's All Batch again in my episode with them and her episode. And there's nothing that she can point to. Well, wait, she didn't say what you were lying about? I didn't. I know.
Starting point is 00:22:50 I have no clarity about it. And I listened with intent. Do you guys know? You guys have listened. What do you think? No, I know. I didn't get it. Listen, I'm trying to still figure out why I got blocked by that.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Both of you're blocked. I find trouble all by myself. I don't need, you know, I have no idea I'm blocked. This is what I don't understand because you wish them well. I've seen you. I've heard you. It's been printed. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:15 You wish them no ill whatsoever. They found each other good for them and we're all genuinely happy for them. Yes. Why you people were blocked? You've never made any kind of ill statement or I don't understand. I think it's. for the best and I'm glad she's not looking at my stuff. I mean, the last, listen, the last time, her stuff either. So it's, it's a win-win in my opinion. Yeah. I mean, I don't think it serves any purpose
Starting point is 00:23:44 for you. I don't know. Last, when I met Mel and Peg, we had great conversations. My son went to Michigan. He went to Michigan. He was asking you something about your son's, uh, uh, dorm. Yeah, like a 10, 10 minute conversation about what dorm? My son was in a mission. I was like, hell, I don't remember. But anyway, I, you know, the sad part is also that I don't want it to cause a division in the cast. You guys know coming off the show. Yes. People are just trying to get back to their lives. This is surreal.
Starting point is 00:24:13 You know, I've had some great conversations with the women in the house. I mean, because I was separated from them until my last episode. I couldn't tell them really what was going on. And I'm enjoying the reconnection. And I would hate for any of them to feel that they can't be friends with Peg, get their friends with me. and can't be enough. Are you good friends with a lot of the women from your season? I would say so. Who do you talk to like regularly or?
Starting point is 00:24:38 That's a long list. I just got back from an extended trip. I went to see Carol, Amy, Jerry and Robin. Oh, I wish I was a last trip. I know. Me too. Me too. It was so much fun.
Starting point is 00:24:50 We just laughed and giggled and it was truly just a gift to be in their presence. Then I went to back to L.A. to see my daughter and see some of friends and then I went to Vegas and saw Carla and Mylene and we had a heck of a time and of course Kathy because of the weather her flight got changed and she ended up flying through Vegas and we ironically were on the same flight coming home. I know right and I got blocked right after that so again Cindy it's your fault that's why and then you know I'm friends with Diane we face time with Diane while we were there. I see, of course, Roxanne lives in town. I'm going to Denver and I'll see Debbie and Cheryl. I'm planning on going to Miami and see Nicole and Alexandra. I talk to both
Starting point is 00:25:40 Monicas very frequently. So, isn't it nice that you made friends at this stage in life? I mean, and you know it's so cool, Susan, everyone is so different, so different. but they are so present in their lives. It's just been a treat to get to know these women. And I truly, I truly cherish it. It is the love story for me of the whole season for sure, is getting to know these women. I Heart Radio is throwing it back.
Starting point is 00:26:14 To the days of huge hits. An unforgettable. A non-stop stream of the biggest and best. Drake, Rihanna, Beyonce, Katie Gaga, the weekend. And more. All your day. Decade defining favorites all in one place. Hi, it's Katie Perry.

You're a dangerous person who prays on vulnerable and trusting people. your creditor might go up and good listen to Betrayal Season 5 on the IHeartRadio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts Before we move on from all this Cindy I want to give you one more chance because we know that Pegg was on
Starting point is 00:30:24 Ben's and Ashley's podcast and then Mel they both asked to come on and it didn't play really well Pegg sort of said that you know they hadn't lived long enough to really know life and that didn't sit well and it wouldn't have sat well with me either. Wait, they haven't lived long enough to... Pegg sort of insinuated that
Starting point is 00:30:46 Ashley and Ben, particularly Ben, you know, they then been through divorce and been through enough life to really have... Right, right, right, right. Which, in my mind, is just ridiculous because we've all had suffered loss and it may look different. We've had these conversations
Starting point is 00:31:05 and there's no particular age that you reach, right? But Cindy, just before we move on, is there anything else that you want to say that you feel like we'll put this to rest once and for all? Because they have been very vocal on a lot of podcasts and very critical of you. And I personally know you very well and think you're a fantastic human being, but I want to know if there's anything else. Before she answers, Kathy, how could anybody be? critical of her because of her decision? I mean, she has nothing to do with their relationship.
Starting point is 00:31:42 I don't understand where that comes from. I don't either. But that goes back to what I said, Susan, if they're so happy, why are they throwing shade on Cindy? Why? I don't understand. And, you know, maybe I'll get an answer if I ever get unblocked. But in the meantime, Cindy, is there something that, you know, you feel like you want to say that could maybe put this to rest? and walk off into the sunset. Well, I made my choice to leave. I learned enough. I wanted something different.
Starting point is 00:32:14 I am glad that I left Mel in her capable hands and that they found their happiness. And I'm glad I left. I'm glad I left before fantasy suites. I'm meant for something else. I'm not meant for the relationship that I was seeing with Mel. and he has found happiness and I just wish that they would just have their happiness and leave me out of it. I've not brought them into it. I've not talked shade about them.
Starting point is 00:32:45 I do wish Mel the very best. I said it from the get-go. I still say it. And it's just time to, it's just time to move on. Move on. Now that all that is done, tell me about your dating today, darling. She needs a black book. It's filled in.
Starting point is 00:33:03 You know, life is complicated and I am, I feel that I will find my partner one day. And do I feel he's close? I'm not sure. I'm not confident about that. So I'm just kind of going through the different stages that you go through as you try people. And I'm, you know, I'm dating. I'm dating. I'm dating.
Starting point is 00:33:27 I'm dating some local people and some people from out of town, some people that I met from the show. and some people I've met through friends. And, yeah, I'm dating. Nice, nice. So you never had to go on a dating site. They're just reaching out to you. Of course. No, I did.
Starting point is 00:33:42 Actually, Amy and I had a joke. She dates a lot, too. And she's been, I hope she's okay with sharing it, me sharing this. But she and I were talking about going on Hinge and letting Jared Freed kind of scream our profiles. Let him to do one for you. Yeah, right. So we could take a look at our profile. That's actually a great idea.
Starting point is 00:34:05 Yeah. I think it'd be funny. And so I'm not opposed to the dating apps. I think the dating apps can be, I don't know, they can train some bad behaviors sometimes. So I have to be extra careful of how I screen the guys. But I found some of my favorite people on the dating apps. And some of my favorite people, my friends are on the dating app.
Starting point is 00:34:24 So I can't bash them. I don't know that that's for me. But who knows. I think people get on and get on. Yeah, you know. And so it's the same people back on again. It's frightening. Cindy, what's next for you?
Starting point is 00:34:37 What do you have planned for this year? What's going on? Can I say real quick back to Dady? Sure. I feel that I have spent a lot of my life chasing relationships. And I have more confidence than ever just being okay, being single. And if I find somebody short term or if I find somebody a long term, both would be great options. and if I never find someone, you're okay.
Starting point is 00:35:02 It's a pretty good option. I was around. I had an experience at church where there's this guy who was pretty annoying. Then I was around a friend with her husband. And I'm going, just every day, you have to deal with that every day. Be careful what we wish for. Yeah. So I'm going to walk into it with my eyes wide open.
Starting point is 00:35:23 And I'll be honest with you, I look at my season with Mel and realize how close I got to partnering myself with a man who now there's no chance. He is not meant for me. So it gives me extra pause and it's going to take me maybe a little extra time to have a look. Wait, are you saying that you don't, I'm a little confused. Are you saying that you don't? I think that I, part of me is evaluating whether I'd still trust my instincts, right? I trust, that's why I left with Mel.
Starting point is 00:35:58 I trusted my instincts with Mel. but I may have a couple margarias with my kids and ask them how they feel before I make it to another fantasy. But coming off the show, I think all of us, you fall in love with who you really are. You are proud of who you are. And we are good on our own. Of course, you want somebody to share your good times and life with. But if you don't, you're good just who you are. And we should recognize that we still have people to share our lives.
Starting point is 00:36:30 with. You know, I have children. I have now my son-in-laws. I have friends. I have my family. Wait, you have me, Cindy. I was going to say, I have my extended bachelor family. And I don't discount that anymore. I'm not thinking that what would be better is to have a partner. All of this is sufficient. And the sufficiency of my relationships currently will, you guys should cheer super allowed if I ever connect my life to someone else because it means that he was extra special to supersede my relationships with all of you guys or to at least come into parody. And I don't think it has to be, I don't think it has to be in either or Cindy. I think the relationships, again, unless you've walked this journey of Bachelor, you don't
Starting point is 00:37:19 really understand the friendships and the relationships that we all have. but I also think at least I'm speaking for myself there's room in my life there's room in susan's life and i think there's room in your life too cindy for that special person it's just it has to meet he has to meet expectations 100% absolutely that is so concisely and well said and what i admire about you Cindy is you knew what you wanted you know what you need and it wasn't there and you made that decision. I'm going to ask you, Susan, would you have walked off? I don't think, I admire you, Cindy. I don't think I could have done it. I thought about that. I don't think I could have done it, Cindy. And that tells me that you did do it, how clearly you knew he wasn't
Starting point is 00:38:13 for you. I'm not sure I would have had the courage. The world saw how clearly. We all saw, because her questions, he couldn't, he couldn't commit. He couldn't, the one word, answer. The one word It was just. Yeah. Thank you for saying that. You know, it's, it was one of the harder things I found myself doing. And as you guys know, taping the show, like, there's no, they don't give you a script. No.
Starting point is 00:38:37 You're really, this is really my relationship that is playing out and somebody else is watching me because there's some, there's a cameraman and a lighting crew and my person who, an audio crew who were recording it. But it was every bit my life. And I remember sitting on the dock having this conversation. going, what can I do? I've got to get, I'm not staying. Like, I'm not, and I'm not going to let him pull that fantasy card out and ask me, you've got to look fantasy sweet with him. Okay. And then turn him down then. And then turn him down. I can't even. Yeah. We have so much more to get into with Cindy. Make sure you stay tuned for part two. And keep listening to Bachelor Happy Hour, Golden Hour, and make sure to subscribe as you'll never miss another episode.
