On August 4, 1962, Marilyn Monroe died. Then the rumors started, and she died again.
Starting point is 00:00:26 And now, we're going to set the record straight and learn about the way. Marilyn Monroe actually died. The third way. I'm Jake Brennan, and on my podcast, Hollywoodland, I revisit some of the biggest stories from Hollywood history, separating the myths people want to believe from the reality underneath them. Hollywoodland is part of the Exactly Right Network.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Listen to new episodes every Monday on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I am talking to a felon right now with face tattoos, and I cannot decide if I like him or not. That was a caller from my podcast, Therapy Gecko, where I speak with anonymous callers about their problems, relationships, and anything else in the depths of their mind. It all happens on my show, Therapy Gecko.
Starting point is 00:01:14 So if you're trying to get out of your own head and into someone else's, this is the podcast for you. Listen to Therapy Gecko on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's the U.S. Open, which means the tennis world is about to lose its mind, and I'm here for every second of it. Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast as I break it all down. The matches that matter, the drama that doesn't, and the stories everyone's talking about.
Starting point is 00:01:39 No cliches, no sugar-coding, just host analysts from someone who's actually been there. Coco looking real good. Her serve looks so much smoother than it has in the past. I was really happy to see Eager back to what she looked like a couple of years ago when she was winning dominantly. Listen to the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey there, everybody. Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes here from the Amy and T.J. podcast. We're going to cover everything you need to know during this heated political season. Yes, we just saw Lindsey Graham, the death of a long time senator. Also, we've got a couple of missing members of Congress. Also, we've got a lot of members of Congress behaving badly. We've got accusations, allegations flying all day long on Capitol Hill.
Starting point is 00:02:24 Listen to Amy and TJ on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcasts. Hello, everyone, and welcome back. This is part two with Gabby. Let's get into it. I feel that it's so common to be so close with your cast when it's airing, and then everyone kind of loses touch or you only keep in touch with certain people. But you guys have truly made the effort to go on trips and see each other. How has that been? How has your friendship evolved since the show?
Starting point is 00:02:56 it's honestly it's so fun like seeing each other and it's like no time has passed I feel like because we were in such close quarters like we got to know each other so well that it felt like we had known each other for years and years and years so now when we see each other even if it's only like a few times a year yeah I mean I talk to like the girls just as frequently as I talked to like my college friends and I see them more often than I see my college friends which is very funny to think about. But I also think we're all pretty lucky. We have a lot of flexibility with our jobs that allows us to go on trips, whereas like my call at trends, it's like PTO and like all the things of planning. It's a little easier for us. We're like really lucky that we have that
Starting point is 00:03:45 kind of flexibility in our lives. But I'm so glad that we could all be like besties still and go on these cool trips. And honestly, just, just... Jess does a really good job, like, rallying. She is the anchor. I'm like, Jess is really, like, peace and harmony. He's like, let me, like, keep bugging you with, like, an emoji or something. The little dog, sticker. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:13 She's like, oh, you're going to respond to. Here's a sticker of a dog. But I love it. It helps our friend group, like, stay together. Yeah. And she really values birthdays. really loves a birthday. So she always helps with birthday trips.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Glued together by a sticker. No, I was going to say, I think, like, from our season, it's different, but it's also the same because I know they cast personalities for, like, every single season. But in a good way, our personalities are all so different, but mesh very well together. There is not one singular person that's the same in, like, our friend group. So I do think that that also just plays, you know, it mesh as well. Because if there was like two people that like with super strong personalities, and there are,
Starting point is 00:05:02 we have, you know, we have some. But we do. But it's like we all like know our lanes and like how to stay in them, how to navigate them. So I do think that that's like what has helped sustain our friendship and our friend group, which I do think is like really important to note. But listen, we got lucky. And I take it. I do not take it for granted.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Yeah. You guys did. It's so rare to, like, make friends as adults, which is so rare. It's so true. I'm so glad that I have, like, all these friends that I met in my adult life who, like, know me, like, not, like, my drunk self, like, eating pizza off, like, you know, the sidewalk. Yeah. It's, like, a totally different version of me. And I feel like it's so cool that they got to know me more developed.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Definitely. Yeah. Okay. we need to talk about Paradise because obviously we have some single friends in our friend group. And I'm just curious, have you had any conversations with any of the girls about, you know, potentially rejoining Paradise? No. I'm like, I can't tell if you're being serious or sarcasm.
Starting point is 00:06:14 I haven't. I really haven't. I'm like, you can tell here. No, I haven't, but I hope that they go if they do. if nothing else gets a man. Who would you like to see specifically? I mean, I'd love to see Jessica, obviously, get back out there. You know, I think she needs to find her man's.
Starting point is 00:06:37 I would love to see Mercedes as well, obviously. I feel like those two, like those are like my close friends. Like that's who I'd love to see back on the beach. I'm trying to think of like girls from other seasons who I would really want to see. Maybe like Leah if she's not in a relationship. I think she is dating so well. But we have time. We do.
Starting point is 00:07:06 I wish them well. Well, then maybe not her. Everyone else is like kind of wiped up that I know. It's weird. Yeah, I feel like there's a single category, but it's. It's somehow not, it's not, there's not a lot of people in there. I don't really know. It's not.
Starting point is 00:07:25 And I couldn't even tell you, couldn't even begin on the guys. I don't know where to begin there. I feel like, quality. We need, like, more, like, you know, like personality. We need somebody who's going to go in there and, like, really, like, shake it up and be funny. And, like, I would be a perfect candidate, but I'm a. You would. So.
Starting point is 00:07:45 I'm sad. We never got to see you on the beach. I literally am about to say that. That's like, there was such a missed opportunity. that Gabby was not on the beach. Like insane. Gabby, did you say no or did you and Zach get together immediately after? So, no, I was with Zach at the time.
Starting point is 00:08:02 That's why I said no. We were pretty like freshly dating, but we were definitely like dating at that point. And I just felt like I needed to see that through. And I was like, honestly, if this goes south, like, yeah, I'll just go on someone else, I guess. Or I'll, you know. You're like, I'll take the next season. Yeah. They're always coming around.
Starting point is 00:08:23 I get the next one. But no, and then it worked out. It was crazy. But I would have been, I do think I would have been entertaining on there. I know I'm not selling myself right now, but trust. Yeah. So, I mean, if they want to, you know, send me to, like, lead a date, I can shake things up. But I just want funny people.
Starting point is 00:08:45 You know what I mean? I think we need some humor. I think we need, like, it's not be so. so serious and that's how paradise is. But I feel like also like getting like the audience involved, like people need to feel like more like invested in like, yeah, I don't know, like the day to day of like what people are doing down there and like, oh, like I heard this, I heard that. You know what I mean? like, not stirring the pot, but like let's stir the pot. No, I agree. I think that's the way to shake it up. Love Island does it so well. And it doesn't even have to be to the point where we're the ones voting
Starting point is 00:09:19 people home? I don't know. But like I wish there was like, oh, can like randomly like one week, we can like set up a date and vote who we want to go on the date and whoever gets the most, you know, it's something like that. So we're like, okay, it works or it doesn't work. Like, we won't know, but I don't think it's helping us, not trying. I think we need to get like a live camera, like Big Brother style. Yes. Yes. Big Brother style. Yeah. We need to have like more engagement with like the audience and the viewers and like I don't know like they need capitalize on like social media and like I don't know even like the text like receiving texts and things like that like I think that's like funny and like yeah more relatable like even if you're not there
Starting point is 00:10:02 you're like oh I got a text or whatever I just feel like there's there's some workshopping to be done I was going to bring Gabby in the board room have you did you watch this recent season of Paradise. And did you like it better than the old format? Um, I did watch some of it. I didn't watch all of it. Um, I don't know. I just think if you're going to lean into like almost like Love Island style of like the camera angles and stuff like that of like, I don't know, you have to like really lean in. And I don't feel I feel like they wanted to keep. And I think they need to keep Bachelor like some of the things people loved about paradise. But like, I, I kind of think like the like less quality, like not less quality, but like it felt more realistic.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Like rather than like, I don't know, the like shots of like, I don't know, we think to the camera and the music. I was like, I'm not sold. I'm not sold. I didn't watch it to completion. So if that tells you anything. I truthfully didn't either. But I couldn't agree more. I need the old cameras.
Starting point is 00:11:09 I need everyone to be sweaty. and I need it to be fun again. This season didn't feel as fun as previous. I definitely agree there. I like the bird's eye view cameras, like, you know, where you kind of feel like you're like just watching, like, but you really shouldn't be there. That's like kind of what I'm liking.
Starting point is 00:11:27 The ones in the rooms. Like, you know how they do it in Love Island where it's like, it's a bird's eye view? Yeah. You're just like kind of watching things go down and like, yeah, they have the mics on. Like, duh. But you feel like almost like you shouldn't be there.
Starting point is 00:11:39 You're like, I'm very. I'm here, but maybe I shouldn't be. That's what I like. That's what I like. Feels more. We need to get back into it. Absolutely. Get Gabby in that producer room.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Totally. Gabby will shake it up. Oh, yeah. I'll get these bitches right. And you'll lock it down too. Yes, we would. We'll have a ring by spring. Please, help me.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Yes. Okay. Rachel to have a ring. No, literally. You should go. back on. She should, but it's neither here nor they are. She's over me today. I mean, oh, God. You guys, I'm retired. I am retired, but should you play game? We should. Get Bell, Pure Fiber Internet with Crave, Netflix, and Disney Plus from $94 a month,
Starting point is 00:12:34 price guaranteed for two years on internet with a two-year term and auto pay credit. Visit bell.ca for details and to check availability. Bell, connection is everything. That call was really pivotal for me. Hey, it's Emily Tish Sussman, and this season on She Pivots, the podcast where women share bold career moves and personal turning points that changed everything. I sit down with culture-shifting women who share their pivots like Paraly Olympian Alley Trouet. I was like, I'm a month out from a shark attack. There's no way in 11 months I'm making the Paralympics. Advocate Elizabeth Smart.
Starting point is 00:13:07 I still feel that dry that I can still make a difference, so I'm going to keep going. Celebrity chef, Carla Hall. Was that scary to walk? walk away from such a stable career after just two years? No, I was more afraid of being unhappy than I was broke and in a dead end job that I didn't enjoy. And feminist legend, Gloria Steinem. All of us were trying to express women's real lives.
Starting point is 00:13:30 We need a meeting place of our own. And if I can contribute to that, I'd like to maintain that and leave this house for that purpose. Listen to She Pivotts on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey there, everybody, Amy Robock and T.J. Holmes here from the Amy and T.J. podcast. We are your one-stop shop for the biggest newsmaking headlines of the day every day. And it starts with our morning run. Yes, go for a run with us. Maybe you can take us along when you're on your actual run outside. Or if you don't feel like going out, still, you get what we're saying. It's our morning run. It's our daily news rundown of the top stories. It'll get you going before you even finish that first cup of coffee. Whether it's the latest information on the latest outbreak affecting your family's health,
Starting point is 00:14:17 updates on the Nancy Guthrie investigation, or the killer mom trial out of Massachusetts, we've got you covered. Yeah, there's a lot of news happening these days, and some of it's breaking. We are on top of it every single day. There's a bunch of true crime going on out there as well, and so much of it dominating on social media. We have our eye on it all. Listen to the Amy and T.J. podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you listen to podcasts. I'm Jake Brennan, and on my podcast, Hollywoodland,
Starting point is 00:14:48 I revisit some of the biggest stories from Hollywood history, separating the myths people want to believe from the reality underneath them. Like how the story of Marilyn Monroe isn't just the story of a Hollywood icon. Marilyn Monroe has become so iconic that her death can only be explained through conspiracy theories. And for some fans who can't let go, these stories have metastasized from conjecture to accepted fact. So on August 4, 1962, Marilyn Monroe died. Then the rumors started and she died again.
Starting point is 00:15:24 And now we're going to set the record straight and learn about the way Marilyn Monroe actually died, the third way. Learn more about what happens when fame, media obsession, and conspiracy collide. Listen to Hollywoodland on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. The US Open is back. That's right. Two weeks of incredible, exciting tennis.
Starting point is 00:15:49 Some outrageous overreactions from players and some hot takes from people who have, let's face it, no idea what they're talking about, but it's okay because I'm here for them and you. I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'll be breaking down everything that happens after big matches, who's playing the best tennis, who looks like they could possibly win this tournament,
Starting point is 00:16:08 the surprise runs, the heart, breaking exits and all the drama that only the US Open can deliver. Coco looking real good. Her serve looks so much smoother than it has in the past. I was really happy to see Eager back to what she looked like a couple of years ago when she was winning dominantly. Listen, I'm going to let Venus decide when she wants to retire. I'm going to let the tournaments decide when they don't want to give her a while card
Starting point is 00:16:32 because she still puts bums in seats. She still sells and people love to see her play. You always say on this show that this is the best predictor of who, will do well at the US Open. If this is a preview, then we are in for a treat. Listen to the Renee Stubbs Tennis podcast on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get you podcasts. Okay, Gabby, we are going to play a game. We're going to show you some behind the scenes photos.
Starting point is 00:16:58 The audience has never seen, and you are going to give us the backstory and explain the picture. For those who are listening, you can head over to Bachelor Happy Hour's Instagram, and you can see the pictures there. Okay, so we have the first one. Alec tan. Oh, wait. I'm going to cry. We are on the beach in the Bahamas, and this is basically a group or the group of girls from Zach's season. And our first, I want to say our first day here.
Starting point is 00:17:30 So Gabby, tell us more. Yeah, so this was in the Bahamas. It was our first travel together. And, oh, my God, we couldn't even see. Like, we truly couldn't see. We did this little like photo. Like I think this was us like doing photos and like a little bit of B roll. And yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:50 And then I think this is when, oh, we were all talking about who's going to get the one-on-one. I remember that. And I actually won't say it. Say it. He already knows what I'm going to say. We're all, you got to say it. Please see it. It's really a same thing.
Starting point is 00:18:08 It was just hilarious because we were all like all walking and like we're talking and this day cat got the one-on-one she was like i'm i wouldn't even want to go because i hate water yes and then she got the one-on-one and we're all like oh that's why she got it too sounds good he's like like i hate it like i do my hair and stuff something like that's insane and it was just really funny that's so cat though that's what i'm saying that is cat cat doesn't do sand water anything of the earth elements she's not doing so She was a man vested in for herself, though. Right.
Starting point is 00:18:42 So. You guys had such good travel going to Bahamas at stop number one is incredible. I had to go to Houston. Girl, don't even tell you where I went. We won't go there. That's so special. Did you love Houston? I bet the weather was great.
Starting point is 00:19:00 It was amazing. Wait, Judy, where was your first travel? We don't talk about it. Yeah, I like a raser for my memory. Mm-hmm. For very valid reasons. I actually don't even remember where did we go for it? Oh, we went to Oceanside.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Yeah. Yeah. Is that justice for your season? Is that New Jersey? No, truly. People don't understand. I'm like, I had a happy ending. But justice truly for my travel.
Starting point is 00:19:27 Like, I can't. Like, no one had worse travel than me. No one ever. Not even the COVID seasons. Exactly. I'm like, I'd rather stay put at a resort. Like, I don't want to get on an airplane. I want to relax.
Starting point is 00:19:39 I remember during that was going to happen. And I was like, oh, yeah, don't worry about it. Really tough. I'm so sorry. We are so grateful for the happy ending because if not, you guys would be sick of me to this day. I would never let it rest. I would never let it rest. You would still hear me bitch about it every single day.
Starting point is 00:20:01 But we're happy. We're happy now. So all is well. Okay. Next photo way I love. Love, love, love this one. Okay, this is Gabby. She is Bell of the Ball, literally, in her gorgeous blue dress.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Do you still have this dress, Gabby? I do. Yeah, I can go back. Great, amazing. I put it on. You should have came to this interview in that dress. You should have showed up. Why do I think of that?
Starting point is 00:20:29 Like, it would have been way better than this top. Missed opportunity. Missed opportunity. Yeah, so this was the dress that I tried on on my one-on-one. I got the shopping date, which was exactly what I wanted. So that was perfect. It's so me. This wasn't my favorite dress, but this was the one I got to keep.
Starting point is 00:20:50 My favorite dress is in the corner right there that you can see a little bit of the blue that's like kind of like, I don't know what that fabric is. Taff. You know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kind of like silky-esque, but like Windbreaker also. I can't pronounce a word, but it's in my, I know how to spell it. I know it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, so that was our one-on-one and it was really fun. Honestly, that was like a really fun date and I loved it. And I got to play with the tea with the dogs.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Yes. That date was an incredible watch. Truly. And that is the most coveted bachelor date you could get. The pretty woman date. Everyone loves that. I know. I really got lucky. I mean, the car that picked me up was actually, that was like so epic. It was like a Rolls-Royce that picked me up. And it had like the lights with the stars and everything. And I got to ride to the venue like just alone. And it really was like very fairy tale like driving through London and a Rolls Royce like this huge gap not knowing where you're going was something like that was cinematic. It was it was really cool.
Starting point is 00:22:01 I hope Zach doesn't listen to my Zach because he's probably going to be like, damn, no, I got to take you. He got a top of it. He has to. That man will forever be tapped. Zach cannot disappoint anyone. I'm like, he's doing just fine. He's doing well. He's like a good boy.
Starting point is 00:22:21 But it was so fun. It was really a fun time. And then we had the people play that song. And I didn't even know who the band was. It was so embarrassing. I love when they do that. They're like, talk about how excited you are to hear Blank. And I'm like, I've never been more excited to see them.
Starting point is 00:22:38 I was like, who? And then, and then they called me the song. I was like, oh, from crazy rich Asians? They were like, yeah, but like the original song. And I was like, I was like, that's not the original. So anyways, I did kind of embarrass myself with that one. But it's fine. It was so fun.
Starting point is 00:22:57 And I think we were all sick, literally. And I was the only one that got the, like, a date in London. So. Yep, you sure were. I got really well. I got really well. I was like, oh, so. They were just shopping around and then magically Zach is ill tomorrow my day.
Starting point is 00:23:12 You know what? I rewatched the other day because, okay, so somebody, like, one of my friends, like, found a meme of me. Like, they were searching shopping and, like, there's a meme of me that from the shopping date. And it was me walking to my room with bags. And do you remember when you were outside with Greer and I just over her while she was crashing out?
Starting point is 00:23:31 And then I, like, turn around and I come back and I'm like, uh, actually, that's my room. She's like, oh, like, you need to get in here. And I was like, Yeah, that's my room. No, I remember that. Like right now. And I was like, yeah, like right now. I didn't even know what to do.
Starting point is 00:23:46 I was like, I was in full therapist mode. I was like, okay, do I need to mediate? Like I was no longer a contestant on the show. No, it was crazy. And honestly, all the girls were so sweet. Greer was having a moment and that's okay. It's so valid. I would probably crash out too.
Starting point is 00:24:01 And then she did sit in front of my room. It was really awkward. Yeah. At time. Wrong place, but valid emotion. I think I cried after our pretty woman day. I was like, I wanted the shoes. Like, I wanted the outfits.
Starting point is 00:24:17 We all did. We all did. Yeah, it's jumped on. Okay. Our next photo. Oh, this is cute. Gabby and Katie and, like, jacuzzi hot tub, bath, and you guys are drinking, holding wine.
Starting point is 00:24:33 I guess that's a lot of wine, but honestly knock your socks off. It was like some sort of like drink that like one of the bartenders made us that was like fruity. Okay, cute. Um, but yeah, we like, I can't remember why we got into this hot tub. I think it had to do the fact that Katie and I both had, it was because Katie and I both had roses that were going into hometown week. That's what it was.
Starting point is 00:24:57 So we were both safe, um, from elimination. And, uh, so we were like, oh, let's like party in the hot tub together. It was actually really fun and pretty funny. That is like just a terrible photo of me though there. They just fed us a lot and like gave us alcohol like a lot. And so I got very inflamed. After the two weeks of pad tie, like there's no turning back. It was like the most unfortunate I've ever been in my life.
Starting point is 00:25:26 We were in Budapest. Wasn't this in Budapest? Yeah, but I'm just thinking forward. It got those. I think I went up like two dress sizes during my season because the food is so good. You just have to eat and take advantage in the moment. That's all, that's like literally all you're doing is you're like obsessing over a man and eating. No, we're going through it.
Starting point is 00:25:44 And it's well-deserved. And it's good memories. Yeah. It's all good. Yeah. I will not return. Ever. Get Bell, Pure Fiber Internet with Crave Netflix and Disney Plus from $94 a month.

Marilyn Monroe has become so iconic that her death can only be explained through
Starting point is 00:28:36 conspiracy theories. And for some fans who can't let go, these stories have metastasized from conjecture to accepted fact. So on August 4, 1962, Marilyn Monroe died. Then the rumors started, and she died again. And now, we're going to set the record straight and learn about the way Marilyn Monroe actually died, the third way. Learn more about what happens when fame, media obsession and conspiracy collide. Listen to Hollywoodland on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The US Open is back.
Starting point is 00:29:14 That's right. Two weeks of incredible, exciting tennis. Some outrageous overreactions from players and some hot takes from people who have, let's face it, no idea what they're talking about, but it's okay because I'm here for them and you. I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'll be breaking down everything that happens after big matches. Who's playing the best tennis? Who looks like they could possibly win this tournament?
Starting point is 00:29:37 The surprise runs, the heartbreaking exits and all the drama that only the U.S. Open can deliver. Coco looking real good. Her serve looks so much smoother than it has in the past. I was really happy to see Eager back to what she looked like a couple of years ago when she was winning dominantly. Listen, I'm going to let Venus decide when she wants to retire. I'm going to let the tournaments decide when they don't want to give her a wild card because she still puts bums in seats. She still sells, and people love to see her play.
Starting point is 00:30:05 You always say on this show that this is the best predictor of who will do well at the O'S Open. If this is a preview, then we are in for a treat. Listen to the Renee Stub's Tennis Podcast on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get you podcasts. This was a moment in time. This was the Rose Ceremony going into, or post-Fantasy Suite? Post-Francy Suites. And I remember the editing of this Rose Ceremony. It was shocking.
Starting point is 00:30:36 Everyone's face. It was wild. What were you feeling in this moment? It's so funny right now. I was thinking like, I probably got to go. Like, I should. Yeah, I remember my careful lady. I was like, be for real with me.
Starting point is 00:30:51 I love her. I love her so much. She was the best. No, it was not a good time for me. I mean, it was fine. There was also, like, monkeys attacking. I'm sorry? There was monkeys everywhere.
Starting point is 00:31:06 in Thailand and they were like like they're not friendly on you they were very present they were they were lurking why's this is this the first time i'm hearing this monkeys had happened you guys they like didn't attack attack but like they were definitely present and surrounding i was fearful so among other things i'm being tried by monkeys as well um god these are just so no i'm like reading the body language and it's just like katie looks like okay let's take this photo is trying to do everything to mask whatever the hell is going on and then Gabby's like how can I get out of here like that's what this photo is giving oh this is crazy and I'm like sweet Ariel where is she gone yeah she's in her limo she's on her way to the airport she's ready to go yeah oh my gosh
Starting point is 00:31:55 time for me though I like definitely wanted to like leave at this point um I was I was pretty like like oh okay i think it's my time um yeah did you know in this moment that it was going to be katy um or were you still hopeful in this moment i would i felt like i had that like initial like gut instinct of like no then i met his family and i think i missed my family so much i was like craving any kind of like family. And I will say like that gave me a little bit of like hope because I did talk to him before that date where I was like, hey, like, I'm not going to meet your family unless we like, we like hash some things out. And so that was, um, that was fine. But then like I just like had like this like feeling like like this gut feeling. It really should have been like the Daisy and Kelsey
Starting point is 00:32:56 situation. Um, because me and Katie were so close. And. And, And it was kind of like, it was like, oh, this is your your best friend. How could you do that to your best friend? You really wanted to feel like the pity choice. And obviously I never wanted that for Katie. And like if I was in her shoes, I would probably feel like, oh, I was like the only option. Even though she was, she was the choice. But I didn't want her to feel like she was the only option.
Starting point is 00:33:28 But I knew. So like going into that day, like I had already mentally prepared like in all of the interviews like for like the last like day or two. It was like me being like, you know, yeah, he's really nice. But like he's not like he's not my person like this. It's not going to be me. So. And then I remember Carrie came like the stylist. And you know Carrie like sweetest guy ever.
Starting point is 00:33:56 And. Oh God. Where's this going? up and he was like I like said something to him like I know it's not me like and he just like got like so quiet and was just like Carrie usually has a great poker face no but I'm like that was a dead giveaway that man just quietly turned around yeah yeah yeah and I knew I mean like you guys saw me like when I got out of the car and like even I was like I was honestly being so mean that day because I didn't want to be there, like, right?
Starting point is 00:34:30 Like, no longer does to get publicly dumped on a beach, like, hello? So embarrassing. I don't even know if I can go back to Thailand ever. I was going to say is a curse for you, probably. Yes. I couldn't eat pad tie for a month. I mean, talk about it, like a dagger to the heart. Oh, that's fucked.
Starting point is 00:34:46 But, yeah. Gabby, but it's crazy because you have one of the most iconic lines. I remember watching in my heart breaking when you said, don't drop Katie off in this spot. Right here. A lot of mud. And I wanted to cry for you in that moment. Well, that really did take me off.
Starting point is 00:35:03 Well, first, I was like almost not allowed to go pee. And I was like, if you think I'm going to be bloated and getting dumped at the same time, you are so wrong. I was like, let me pee or I'm peeing my pants. Like, I'm not even joking. Like, let me pee or pee is going down. Okay. So I go like, but then that they got that on camera. But it was me yelling at a producer.
Starting point is 00:35:25 It was not me yelling at the driver. People were like, how dare she? like yell at a driver. I wasn't yelling at the driver. And I did think it was messed up. I mean, I'd been like kind of rainy. They dropped me off. My heels sunk right down.
Starting point is 00:35:36 I was like, okay. So you guys brought me to look like a fool. I got it. I don't think it was that deep. I was in your position and I knew, yeah, all bets are truly off at that point. Like, if I didn't know, then I would have been in like la la land. But I mean, that was part of it. It was like, yeah, like we are close.
Starting point is 00:35:53 So don't do this to her. So like I'm taking one right now for the team. don't, don't F her over like this because that's just disrespectful. Just so nice. That is such a good friend moment. I feel like so underrated, especially because you were doing it because you didn't want her to feel like the section option, which I never even thought about as someone who's been a part of this franchise.
Starting point is 00:36:14 So hats off to you because you're an amazing friend. Often because, I mean, I just don't think it contributes to their love story, but I think their love story is like so, like, I mean, like, it's already like enough. in where like I can like say that. And I think also like I also didn't talk about it because I didn't want people to be like, oh, she's just saying that. It's like I don't need to say that. Like I'm far enough out of this now where I can and like whatever.
Starting point is 00:36:44 I went on another dating show. I don't think at this point. Things are pretty long. No, sister. You're not. So I can talk about it now. But yeah, I really, I didn't like that they did that to me. but I would do that for her again.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Yeah, love her. And they're great. Yeah. And I'm happy. You guys both have your happy endings. And congratulations again to you and Zach. I'm so happy for you. And I cannot wait to see all the wedding photos.
Starting point is 00:37:13 It's going to be insane. How's your car drink? Mine? Still totaled, you guys. Oh my God. Gabby, knowing that in spring. Yes. She was coming to Jessica.
Starting point is 00:37:22 I hit a deer on the way to Jess's birthday. And guess where I hit it by the Bachelor Mansion? Did you know there are dears over there? Yep. Nagora House, did you know that? The deer hit you. You didn't hit the deer. It came out of nowhere down a canyon.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Yeah, it hit you. Oh. I said, Jess, I can't be here. I have to go. She said. I was like, I've like never met Rachel in person. And Jess is like, oh, my gosh, you're going to love her. She's just like a little, like, fairy princess.
Starting point is 00:37:52 And I was like, okay, I'm so excited to meet this, like, mythical. fairy princess and and the deer had other plans it wait why was jess's birthday in agora hills it was in malibu but i had to go oh okay okay okay past the mansion why are you guys over there to begin with yeah because i was coming from the valley it was so sad hopefully i get to meet you in person one day because i feel like we're friends and i've always felt like we're friends and i'm so happy you came on the podcast and you were so honest because you're amazing i love you got nothing to lose these days That's the best space to be in, truly.
