This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is,
getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is,
getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akela Hughes,
and Rebel Spirit Season 2 is about both of those things.
As I was watching these statues come down,
I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority black city,
in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.

Can superstars even exist the way they used to?
2016 was sort of that last era of monoculture where we still consume things in community.
Everybody wanted to be Beyonce at that point.
I don't think we'll ever see another beyond.

your podcast. Hello, everyone. Welcome back to Back for Happy Hour. We are back for Part 2 with Hannah Brown.
Let's get into it. Did you see, well, I mean, looking back now, any relationships maybe that you
think could have formed, but they were holding back because they didn't want to be viewed in a certain
way. Oh my gosh. I'm trying to think, yeah, I would just say multiple. There were so many times
or people who are so worried about, like, switching up who they were in.
We're like, that's the show.
Like, you got to have skin.
Like, you know what you're signing up for.
People need to go on dates with different people.
Right.
So, it was so frustrating to me.
It's like, if you're interested in this person, you're just going to let them go after one day.
Do it.
Right.
And if your man or your woman cannot handle that, like, this is probably not the show or the
experience for you. No, me and Rachel were literally talking like a lot about this. And I feel like a big
portion of that has to do with like obviously social media because we're just in a different time,
but also like our franchise is like fan base. It's like I feel like Bachelor is almost held to a
different standard than like, because it's basically essentially the same like premise as like Love
Island, but a little bit, you know, different things that we're not doing there. But like I feel like
at Love Island, they have like the freedom.
It's almost expected of them to do that.
But then here where it's like, okay, yeah, put us all in the beach and we're all going to
like, you know, date around and see if this works or not.
It's like, how dare you do that?
And so I feel like that on top of like, oh, I don't want to like maybe get backlash for,
say, for instance, this person who goes after someone who was a villain last season.
It's like that might make me look bad.
So it's like all of these things that are intertwined, which I personally like, I hate.
I'm like right there with you.
I think it ruins one, the experience, but also, like, that very well could be your person and you have no idea.
You're just going to, like, not do it.
You know, it's very interesting.
And you're born.
No, literally.
You don't meet the person and then you're boring.
Yeah.
So if you're so worried about what the fans are going to think and you're having that in the back of your mind, well, then you're going to have no fans.
Exactly.
And I'd drop on that comment.
You don't, you could have.
met your person and then you don't have that either. So yeah, I mean, like I said, I guess I'm
more passionate about this than I thought, but I, because you're an icon. We all need to be
taking home. Yeah, you were so yourself. You really were. And I think that's why you have been able
to like carry on this incredible career because people know you. And I think now it's hard for me
to watch the people on the screen and be like, oh, I really know who they are. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I mean,
maybe I don't
I don't know
maybe we have to like
I'm like should I just like go into casting now
and just like shoot it to me
I don't really I should produce it
and I'm going to be like dude
like you're so
Hannah B's EP
of Paradise
Absolutely
and I think you know
I was actually talking to a
former contestant on
one of the shows
recently and kind of talking about this.
Like, oh, you're so iconic.
You don't like, yeah, well, I don't know.
Like, take some notes.
Like, don't try to be me.
Like, try to be new.
Yes.
And see where that goes.
Like, you don't like try to mimic me.
You can't try to mimic, you know, charity, Rachel.
Like, you have to be fully you and be open to however that is received.
Because the people who love you and realize,
life, like, are going to tell you like, that didn't look like you at all.
Or that was by that, you know, the trigger of yours, like, well, I don't expect anything
less.
Like, that's what you listen to.
And then the rest will follow.
And, yeah, I just, I think, I'm hopeful that people will start recognizing, even if it is
talking about, like, Love Island or different shows, like, those people put out a lot out
there.
And it's not, you know, my.
a team but like people are having something to say about the show and are exactly shits and and
feel invested so we need more people who are going to sign up to to do that as well um for for bachelor
you know bachelor bachelor bachelor at a bachelor in paradise and if if you're not going to sign up for
that then like i said it's maybe just not for you but it's frustrating for sure when you're like
if you would just like stand up for yourself in this moment or just put yourself out there like
how much how interesting that could be and also like what a what an opportunity for you to see
what else is out there and exactly yeah i'm just curious now because i'm like with hannah saying
she needs to be in charge of casting fully agree and fully support who do you want to see on the
beach next summer well you know um with recent events i think
it's hard to know who is available and who you know what's going to happen before then who are we looking at
I think it would be really fun to maybe I'm trying to think of who's still available but bring back
some people if they if they're open to it from like a different time where you just like don't
care and like take the experience that is to kind of show some of these newbies like how it's done.
I can't really think of names right now, but that's okay.
What about we have Bachelor 30 coming up? And like you said, this isn't unprecedented time.
So they could pull an alumni. Is there anyone from seasons back, like a great guy that you
think would be an amazing bachelor?
Let me think. Putting you in this spot. I know. I'm like.
I don't want to be like a man hater right now, but sometimes it's tough.
It is.
And you're not wrong.
Okay.
So I live in Nashville.
And I recently met Casey who is on our, went through the experience of allegedly.
And I don't know how that season ends.
I don't really know anything.
But he is the most precious, sweet, gorgeous angel.
I said that.
Like, he is so beautiful, first of all.
And it's so kind.
And, like, actually seems like genuinely.
like ready to find love like he's not one of these like really hot guys who we can't we've seen on
these shows who like know they're hot and just say the right and like it's not like that it's it's
like doesn't know he doesn't know that he's yeah exactly and has like a real job and um he's a
mechanical engineer like that's so cool but then he like makes these like kind of nerdy but
adorable like like objects he actually gave me the sweetest uh gift i was going to say we have to
talk about wait yes please share gift to you because i i saw it and i i was floored i didn't believe it
because he really like was so thoughtful and intentional i'm like my husband why didn't you
no literally every time i'm like dot in hello he made me
these bookends first.
They were like bookends for my books in this new chapter of life.
But on then there was like these magnetic little icons of, I guess, the iconic moments and things in my life.
He made me like the state of Alabama that says like Jesus still loves you on it with like, like with the 15 like in and there for like season 15.
All these.
It's so cute.
Then he made me a.
podium, a little podium for my, my podium moment. He made a special forces backpack with Hannah Beast
on it. And then he made me a mirror ball trophy. And they're like interchangeable. No, I can't. I'm like
cheering up. No, I literally can't. To be seen like that, me and charity call him, we're like he was
written by a woman. You're an author. Do not agree. And he looks like, I'm like, okay, well, I guess I'm going to
have i actually know where my head's coming from it's case and he'll be on the cover of my book like
one of those old times he's to be laying across a horse yeah yeah he's a printer
yeah he's horrible so honestly i feel like i don't like i said don't know what happens
you know will i see what happens i don't know but he was a gym a gym i fully agree i
He has our vote too.
But he knows.
I'm his biggest fan.
I've been saying, I'm like,
I hope everyone gets to meet Casey,
whether that's Bachelor or not.
But like, the world deserves to know
who this man is because he's that good of a person.
So great.
So great.
Yeah.
So this is a podcast about video games.
Kind of.
It's also about friendship.
Definitely.
And chaos.
Unavoidably.

I'm Munga shit together, and I'm back with a new season of the podcast, Skyline Drive.
This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand
what this longevity obsession is all about,
and what it really means to live forever, for all of us.
I learned about some rad science.
I can make a brain for you,
and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain,
as opposed to his brain.
Here are some hard truths.
I would expect Indians to age faster,
but I did not expect it to be almost a four-to-five-year acceleration.
and get myself into a world of trouble.
I'd say probably start bone smashing.
That doesn't work.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is.
Getting a new one put up in its place.
As long as there's a politics of race in America,
There's going to be a politics of remembering the Civil War.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Ely Boulevard.
Get to the grocery store, I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway.
If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is, you're not doing your job.
I'm Akila Hughes.
In Rebel Spirit, Season 2 goes deep on both of those things.
The fights, the politics, the people who won, and my personal campaign to add something to the Kentucky State House
that's actually worth the wall space.
We are more than our bodies.
We contain essence.
We contain Spirit.
How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.

June is Black Music Month, and on the Drink Chams podcast,
we're speaking with the hottest names in the culture, like Sway Lee.
Do you realize how legendary you are?
I appreciate that.
I'd be seeing it, but I'm like, man, I still got like so much more to do.
Like Prince, he dropped like 30 albums.
We job like five right now.
That's the rate we got to be going.
Yep, that's a good attitude.
You also hear stories from industry legends and hip-hop pioneers like Fab Five Freddy.
I directed when the Nas' early videos.
Which one?
One love.
Wow.
Yes.
I literally filmed in his apartment in Queensbridge.
His moms were still up in that apartment.
Nas was just beginning to take off.
His pops used to live near me in Harlem.
His dad introduced him to a whole lot of, you know, conscious stuff.
He made a young prodigy.

Speaking of Taylor's season, obviously we have not seen it,
don't know if we'll see it,
but we did get to see one episode,
which was our Bachelorette reunion,
mine and Charities first.
Hannah, was it your first one?
It was my first, too.
the last reunion was on my season.
So I wasn't afford of it,
but they did it while I was,
I was filming.
Oh, amazing.
I love that.
We had such a good time.
What was it like for you being back as an alum
and seeing all the bachelorette's?
It was really special.
I think sometimes,
it can be intimidating being in a group of very powerful,
strong, beautiful women for anyone.
And some, like, I still get, like, nervous sometimes, like,
these people that I've looked up to that I haven't met or, you know,
and it was such a beautiful group of women.
And I think there was, I'll be honest, like,
when I was first on The Bachelorette going through all the crap that I went through,
I was like, I didn't know how to take the support because I'm like,
everybody's journey is so unique.
And I would really like Tinder.
But it was so special to truly be around like the only people that will ever like
understand what it's like to be in that position,
even though we all had different experiences.
And it was truly like an honor to be like, wow.
Like I am one of like I have something that these other women.
have that that has me in this group and yeah it was really really cool like so glad that i was able
to be a part of that so glad that we did that um i'm like let's do it again no literally that's do it
every single year yeah can we start an annual vacation like let me know like how was it meeting taylor
obviously we all got to meet her but like your experience like did you have any like one-on-one time
with her that was like super special
To be completely honest, like she was lovely.
And I got to meet her briefly at a Dancing with the Stars taping.
And she was so sweet.
And then being able to have a little bit more time to have a one-on-one chat with her
of just what the experience is like, like really obviously had not seen Mormon wives
and everything, you know, that she was filming before to really
know where she was at, but I just tried to talk to her about, like, this is such an opportunity
to be removed from, you know, your past and, and your environment and be able to, like,
step into something that is truly, like, for you, all for you and embrace that and be yourself.
And I think she is unapologetically yourself.
And I'm interested to see, like, what that is, especially from now seeing, like, what
was all going in our life before, like how that translates to the relationships and the
experience that she had.
But as far as my experience with her, wonderful.
And I think she is just a normal human being that, you know, like I said, like I feel like she could,
she can be the hero in her story and probably the villain in her story, just like I was.
Like I'm interested to see how that all goes, but it's for my experience with her, like,
I loved it.
Yeah. What about y'all? I don't know how to really answer that question. Like, yeah, now there's so much.
It is very interesting. And like, like you said, my, I mean, my first time meeting her in person was at the reunion. And like I got very, like, brief moments. But like from that experience, yeah, she was very lovely. I feel like she came into that day wanting to like hear from all of us and wanting to get like, you know, as much as she could take away and be like, okay, how can I?
apply this either to my journey or just even like outside of this like what's going to be helpful
for me in my actual personal life so like I appreciated that and like obviously without knowing
the ins and outs of everything like trying to give and contribute as much as I could but yeah like
she she was very just calm it seemed like and just you know inquisitive like yeah so like looking
back she was really open to feedback and to just
our own experiences and how she could take that into hers. But we shall see what that looked like.
We will see. That is so true. Okay. We talked about The Bachelorette and let's segue a little
because you are married. Congratulations. How has married life been for you, Hannah? It's been
great. Like it was like I said, the summer of getting married for me was so
crazy. But once I got to France, we got married in France, it was so fun. The wedding was amazing.
We had the best time. And the first year of marriage has been really sweet. I am like,
what are we doing in our first year of marriage, like remodeling a house and we're like,
we're like nomadic. And everybody is like the hardest thing you can go through in a marriage.
And I'm like, okay, we're just doing it. We're getting out of the way year one.
Yeah. And there's been like definitely like not having your own space with your partner who also
works at home. It's like, oh. And there's been a lot of moments of like just laughing through it and like
finding ways to find joy in, you know, being nomadic and just like there's been a lot of,
of growth and yeah i i highly um i'm pro marriage and highly suggest it and charity i'm so excited for
y'all like you yes it feels so it actually does feel different like you're like i remember
asking you that yeah it does feel different um and yeah it's just really it's been sweet and also
crazy which yeah i think i just i have to have a little bit of crazy thrown in at all times always
I love that. Yes. Weren't you guys living separately until you got married? And now you guys are
renovating this house together. So what's up and like, do you guys have similar taste or is it more like
you? Come on. It's me. Obviously. I'm like, um, we like, we changed up some rooms. Like he's getting
what was going to be my office because we realized it did things you realize in marriage. Like,
you know, we're both working from home. His office was up where my closet was and our
bedroom was. And then I'm changing one room into my dressing room. That's right beside his office.
And we were like, we were getting in these little spats of him telling me to when he was on a call. And I'm
like, I'm making content. Okay. Hello. I'm working. I'm working too. So we got to like figure
this out. So anyway, we flip-flopped offices. So basically I'm saying the upstairs is my Barbie
dream house not oh now so upstairs is all mine and so he got my office and i was working with the designer
like we're trying to make it not as feminine so but also like my host and he was looking at it last night
and he was like i don't like that pillow it's like an animal print and i was like i do not care i like
the we're keeping it this is hannah's dream house if you're on the fall and you don't like it
you can you can throw it you can put it away yeah
But we're giving the custom pillow that I want.
And it's going to make it.
And it's fine.
And so he was like, okay, like, I got my, got my way.
But I do, he is into it.
Like he'll be like, why I'm going out on that email?
And I'm like, gosh, okay, you really want to put the paint color that I'm going back and forth between.
So literally.
So, but I do actually appreciate that because I don't, I think it can be really hard.
As a successful woman,
sometimes it can feel lonely or you're just doing your right.
I feel like I can do it on my own.
But like it's good to have your spouse be involved.
And it not feel like like this is our house.
So he's involved enough.
But like when it comes to the design, he does trust me.
And we do.
We really do.
Other than the pillow, we do have similar taste.
So it's working out so far.
The pillows and the all in the parking.
Was he like that during, no, literally, I'm like, I do want to see. But was he like that during
wedding planning? Because I feel like I'm like, I'm like in the middle with Dot a little bit. Like he is
not as vocal. But then like when he is, I'm like, not on this. Like not right now. I'm like,
this is the wrong thing to be vocal about. You want like, you're like, oh, I want you to be involved.
But then when they decide to be involved, you're like, wait. It's the craziest time.
And it's like the rant. It's like the little weird thing.
He was like, you care about that?
Right.
No, literally, it was like napkin holders.
I was like, what?
What are you?
No, we're not doing.
Literally, I was like, we're not doing that.
How does he even know what that is?
He's just like, what is?
Like, I don't like the way that thing is.
I want it to be like this.
I'm like.
Exactly.
Yeah, he was like that too.
But I do think we have similar taste.
Like, oh my gosh, one of our friends
makes fun of me and one of my good friends.
You like kind of like dressed like a sheet grandma.
And I'm like, yeah.
And my husband loves it.
Like he is the one that's like, oh, I love that like vintage top you have on it.
That's so cool.
Like so they're the same style for sure.
It supports the classic, dreamy, feminine air that I bring to things.
Even though he's a very masculine man, he like likes our home.
home in the aura of everything to be that. So it's been great. And like, will there be pink in our,
you know, main area? But probably. And he's fine with it. But this one animal print pillow,
he could not get behind. We're attaching that to the clip. I know. I'm like, there's just so many
things I need to prepare my life for someone. I got to look at for the pillows.
Okay. But guess what? We signed the way. We signed the
way to do the pillow so it's happening.
It's happening.
That's something you're being flexible with.
That's something.
It's not like I, it's not like wallpaper that, you know, takes a bit to remove.
Like we have, that is, that is, that is, this pillow is like marriage.
The little thing.
You got to let, well, he's got to let go.
Charity Hannah's like telling you your future right now.
No, she really is.
She's always like a step ahead.
But like, I always.
You have to be aligned in the values, which could be the wallpaper, you know.
Right.
You got to live with this all over.
We got to be aligned in it.
But the little things, whatever.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm literally laughing.
This is so good.

Man, I still got, like, so much more to do.
Like, Prince, he dropped, like, 30 albums.
We dropped, like, five right now.
Like, that's the rate we got to be going.
Yeah, that's a good attitude.
You also hear stories from industry legends and hip-hop pioneers, like Fab Five Freddy.
I directed when Nas' early videos.
Which one?
One love.
Wow.
Yes.
I literally filmed in his apartment in Queensbridge.
His moms were still up in that apartment.
Nause was just beginning to take off.
His pops used to live near me in Harlem.
His dad introduced him to a whole lot of, you know, conscious stuff, and he made a young prodigy.

Mainstream media is full of cruel depictions of The Un-Housed, stories that shame and blame and paint the Un-Housed as a monolith.
We the N-House is the podcast that's changing that.
I'm Theo Henderson, creator, and host.
And for years, I've created a space where the un-housed and their advocates can tell their own stories.
In the last few months alone, I've interviewed un-house parents, immigrants, mutual aid organizers, veterans,
the LGBTQTIA-plus community, and the policymakers who make the laws that impact the unhoused existence.
Wey N'Hawes is a two-time webby and Signal Award-winning show

whose work with the unhoused community
has made a huge impact online and in her community.

Okay, Hedra, we are going to play a quick game really quick.
We're going to give you a prompt,
and you're going to have to decide if you would want it to be a book boyfriend, a real boyfriend,
or absolutely not, no presence in your life at all.
Great.
Okay.
So I will go with the first one.
He waits years for you and never gets over you.
Oh, that's a great book boyfriend because there's probably a reason you're not with them,
but a great swoonworthy book boyfriend.
I agree.
I love that, the notebook.
Okay.
Yeah.
He owns a motorcycle and refuses to tell you where he's going.
Motorcycle sexy.
That would be a no-go.
Okay.
Yeah.
Like, what's happening on your motorcycle?
Where are you going to?
I'm like, yeah, I'm like either that or I was like, he could be like a bad boyfriend
in a book, like a not good guy.
Yeah.
Yeah, he could.
But like, no, we're not in mind.
I'm not spreading that into the world as an awful.
Okay. Okay. The next one is.
The Unbearable Man, no.
Hello.
Okay. He remembers the tiniest detail you mentioned three years ago.
That is a real boyfriend, but also great material for a book boyfriend.
But that was the entire life for everyone.
Yeah.
Okay.
He gets jealous when another man talks to you.
I mean, in a book, it could work.
There's like a love triangle.
I'm thinking like tropes.
It could work for a book boyfriend.
Probably not real life, but book boyfriend.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Tension.
Yeah.
Agreed.
I love a little jealousy in a book.
He shows up at the airport right before your flight.
real boyfriend
truly that's like a dream of mine
no truly running through the airport
even though I don't think you could technically do that with like a sign
I like I do want the sign I want it all like flowers in a sign
see Adam always brings like Wally and in him to you know
send me all over to pick me up and I'm just like
and typically like a sweet treat or something because
has to you know late
Duh.
And then don't have.
We'll do a couple more.
Okay.
He disappears for six months,
but then comes back saying it was always you.
I don't know.
That's,
I think that's a no for me.
I mean,
maybe,
maybe in a book,
maybe a book because like what if we're,
you know,
we're doing a little magic here.
There's a little bit magic.
He was off with some elves and they like...
He was fighting a war.
Dragon, bat.
I don't know.
That.
It could work.
It could work.
Okay.
Last one.
He's emotionally unavailable.
But deep down, you know he loves you.
Never going to work.
Never going to work.
I agree.
Unfortunately, been there, done that.
Doesn't work.
I agree.
I'm still learning.
that one. Advice from Hannah is going to be our next podcast and we just need you to come on
and tell us literally all the advice. I mean, I can give some and then some you'd be like, oh God,
oh, it's because she's the red flag. That's it. We all have it. We all have our little beige flags.
Yes. I love it. Hannah, thank you so, so, so much for joining us on Happy Hour. And where can
everyone follow you if they're not already? Well, you know, Instagram is where all the things are
happening for me. I, you know, share updates for all the things going on in my life. But for my book,
if you are so intrigued and want to support this new era of Hannah, you can find links to my bio
on my page of all the places that you can buy the book. And I'm also going on book tour.
I'm actually stopping by to see other Bachelor alums, Ashley I and Jared.
I'm going to Rhode Island to Audrey's.
That's really fun.
And then going to a bunch of different places the week of release week.
So you can check that out on my Instagram too.
And I hope to see all there.
Amazing.
Everyone, make sure you pre-order the book.
Yes.
Support.
I am not too proud to beg.
Just buy my book.
Literally.
It's not that we should, but just, like, help a girl out so that we can bring this to life
in the movie one day.
Yay.
Absolutely.
We love you, Hannah.
Love you, Hannah.
Thank you.
I just love her.
I love Hannah.
Like, is she not, like, you know, royalty.
I don't know what that was, but.
She is royalty.
And I think this conversation really tells me why, because she is so herself.
And I feel like that is an art that we have lost in reality TV for a lot of people.
And her saying that she was boots on the ground in paradise.
Seeing that we've lost the ability to be ourselves, I'm like, it really, like that conversation was huge.
But I feel like, and that's what I'm like, obviously me and you, we each had so many separate conversations about it.
But I'm like, it's beyond reality TV.
I think that's just like what, like, that is just current society right now.
Like individuality does not exist.
Like, you know, when you ask your girlfriend's like, what are you wearing?
And they're all like, oh, I'm wearing this and it's the same exact outfit.
Absolutely not.
Like, do not show up in the same outfit as me.
So it's like, it's just like, I don't know, lack of individuality all around.
But also like, obviously they're casting for Bachelor 30.
Like, I've had so many DMs asking me like, oh my gosh, what do I need to do to like get on the show?
Obviously, like, it's a little bit different than that.
But it's like, I feel like people are asking that of like, what can I do different about just being who I am?
to like have a spot or to get into this.
And it's like, just be, like, I literally say the same thing every time.
I'm like, just be you, you know?
Like, you don't have to change anything.
Like, nothing needs to be different.
Thrive, shine, do you.
And everything will literally fall in your lap.
Like, I promise you.
No, that's so well said because I feel like my one experience.
Well, when I was a bachelorette, because I was there with someone else,
I really just wanted to be like the perfect bachelorette.
And I feel like that's the season I look back on it.
I'm like, that was my least favorite season because I just wasn't being true to who I was
because I wanted to be perfect.
And then I have all the other seasons where I'm crying and freaking out.
And I'm like, you know what?
It wasn't easy to watch, but at least I was like true to myself.
So it is so true.
I mean, for everyone listening, for everyone applying, like really to go in and just show who
you are because we are missing that in this world.
Yeah.
I want insane.
I want not insane.
I want it all.
I want goofy.
I went nerdy.
Like, give me variety.
That variety, please.
Yes.
And speaking of Hannah's book, I'm so excited because I feel like there's been so much lore around the ending of her season and then going into like her actual real life, having this crazy twist.
Like reality TV couldn't have written how insane that was.
I think we all were like, oh, when we realized what was happening, we were like, like, how is she, like, how is she surviving this?
But like, I'm so curious to read this and like try to connect the dots a little bit.
We need to start a book club for this too.
Her book and Rachel Lindsay's book.
I was going to say.
Mm-hmm.
Both of that.
Yeah.
But this is like the most craziest ending.
But I'm like so glad to hear that it's not only obviously brought their family.
family closer, but she just seems like even talking about it, she's in like a very happy place.
And I don't know what. She got a good therapist, but I'm like, praise God. I'm like, I love that for her.
And I have their number. I also love like the fact that she is like writing these books. I think
reality TV gives you such an amazing platform. And sometimes people don't utilize it. And I love the fact that
she's been able to like live out a dream and create this universe that's healed her. I mean,
And you, I mean, so beautiful.
We love Hannah.
And we are so excited to read Hannah's book.
So make sure that you guys are ordering the book.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is.
Getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akela.
Hughes. And Rebel Spirit season two is about both of those things. As I was watching these
statues come down, I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority black city
in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.

Can superstars even exist the way they used to?
2016 was sort of that last era of monoculture
where we still consumed things in community.
Everybody wanted to be Beyonce at that point.
I don't think we'll ever see another beyond.
