This is an I-Heart podcast.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
So in the last month, the Midas Touch Network beat Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Candice Owens, Charlie Kirk, and Ben Shapiro all combined.
What happens when three brothers take on right-wing media and start winning?
I find out on the latest episode of Next Question with me, Katie Couric.
We just want people to live their lives and be happy and be able to enjoy it without some, you know, lunatic.
tick screaming in their face every three seconds.
Listen to next question with me, Katie Couric on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
Why are TSA rules so confusing?
You got a hood of you.
I'll take it off.
I'm Mani.
I'm Noah.
This is Devin.
And we're best friends and journalists with a new podcast called No Such Thing,
where we get to the bottom of questions like that.
Why are you screaming?
I can't expect what to do.
Now, if the rule was the same, go off on me.
I deserve it.
You know, lock him up.
Listen to No Such Thing on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
No such thing.
Everyone, please welcome Pamela.
Pamela, welcome to Bat Your Happy Hour.
How are you?
Thank you so much.
I'm so excited to meet you guys.
I watched your season.
Oh, did you?
Oh, God, yes.
Joe, I watched you.
Because the first night, I was eliminated, and I know that you were eliminated.
I'm sorry to bring that up.
No, no, no.
It worked out for him.
He's doing just fine.
It's fabulous.
But I absolutely loved you.
I live in Chicago.
Oh, do you?
We're about.
I live just next door to Naperville.
It's called Aurora.
It's the second largest city in Illinois.
Yeah.
Okay.
So, yeah, we're in the boonies.
I know, I know Aurora.
I used to, we had a few restaurants out there.
that we delivered produce to back in the day when I was much younger.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, my gosh.
Well, okay.
You are, man, I don't know what's wrong with the Chicago people.
We can't last very long on the show.
So let's hear a little bit more about yourself.
What do you do?
What do you do on a day to day?
What do you do for work?
You know what?
I used to own a salon about 20 years ago.
and I ended up my daughter met her husband at my salon and after a couple of years I said I'm not doing this my kids are out of college so I gave it up and that's when my daughter got married my son got married I got started getting grandkids and they've been my job so got it
such a family person yeah and how long have you been single you know what my husband
passed away on January 2017, get sure it was prostate cancer, so I'm just going to reiterate
that's such an amazing test to take and he didn't take it.
And he literally apologized up until he passed away.
I'm so sorry.
I should have been, you know, better at this.
But anyway, we were married for 40, almost 40.
seven years we met when i was 16 he was 17 and uh high school sweetheart so i went to his prom he
went to my prom we got married in 1970 and i had two great kids 72 and 1973 so i'm so lucky he was an
amazing husband and father and about 20 years before he passed away we decided to to add some spice
because our kid, I hope my kids aren't watching.
We had to decide to add spice because the kids were in college in a way.
So we, we pretended we were virgins again.
Oh my gosh.
And we rediscovered, honest to God, it worked.
We rediscovered.
We started all over again because, come on, we were in high school when we met.
We knew nothing, right?
Yeah.
I do have to say, I'm just so surprised into how this story has evolved.
but keep me please keep going i'm telling you it saved our marriage because the intimacy between two
people is more important than anything in the world i there's nothing that's going to put
keep you guys together more than that intimacy so even if it's 10 15 20 years spice it up again
oh my god so you guys were virgins twice together you were virgines and then you were
Reborn Versions
In Borgans
Borgans 20 years ago
Yeah and we really studied
I mean we we did films
We did books
And when I got married
My education was my mom
Handed me that mom and dad handed me
This book everything you need to know about sex
But we're afraid to ask
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah that was my training
So you just like by like
Reborn versions you just mean you like
Took it upon yourself
like re-learn about sexual intimacy.
Yes.
That's amazing.
I love that.
I love that for you.
What a way to celebrate your like 20th anniversary together.
Honey, we're going to watch a movie tonight, okay?
Yeah, not that kind of movie.
It's that Titanic.
We're going to watch something else.
All right.
Great.
Great.
Okay.
So how do you...
No, you're blushing.
Is he blushing?
Yeah.
Just all about all about.
okay so how did you get on the golden bachelor oh my god okay another fabulous story so in 2019
of course i have never missed an episode i started in my 60 50s or yeah 50s watching the bachelor
so when it started to come up that we they were looking for senior citizens i'm like oh hell
oh hell yeah and uh when they called me this is my mom was
95 and she passed away February 8th and five days later the bachelor called me.
Wow.
And I felt like, oh my God, I'm going through this horrible situation and I have something
special to look forward to and they just passed me on and pass me on and I was so shocked
when I got the final call because come on people, I'm 75.
Are you seven, wait, were you the oldest one there?
Yes, I was. I was older than Sandra.
Oh, my gosh. You have very, very youthful energy.
Yeah, I was just going to ask you, what is, what is your secret?
I would not have guessed your 75 at all.
Thank you. Let me tell you, I do massage therapy, cryotherapy, light therapy.
I get facials. I do everything I can.
If you watch the Beverly Housewives.
No, but I mean I...
Serena watches the New York one.
I do. I watch the New York one.
Okay, but they tell you certain things that they do to keep themselves young.
Yeah.
And I learned cryotherapy was helpful for inflammation.
So I walk, you know, run, I can do anything.
I have really, really good, because I was tripping and falling.
And so I decided I needed to change.
And so I started doing massage therapy weekly.
I'm getting one tonight.
He's coming over to my house and I'm getting a massage.
Because it keeps my muscles from atrophine.
I mean, at this age, if you don't use those muscles, you know, you can't walk, you can't talk, you can't do anything.
Yeah.
But thank you.
That was a really nice compliment.
Thank you.
Oh, of course.
No, Joe's very into natural ways to help the aging process.
Like he does a lot of like hot, cold therapy and stuff like that.
Yes, absolutely.
I would definitely recommend it because I'm super lazy.
I do weight train, but I have somebody, and it's 20 minutes twice a week.
So I'm a, I am super lazy about my exercise.
So I have specific places that I go and they take care of me and I don't have to do any.
Wow.
Well, you look great and you sound great.
I'll like book myself into like a workout class like the night before so that when the morning comes,
I have to like hold myself accountable and go work out.
Absolutely.
I'm so cozy in bed.
Why would I go to the gym?
it's so hard but but it's a good idea to start now in your 50s I'm sorry you're in your 30s
or 20s not our 30s 20s not my 50s yeah not quite yet okay so what were your thoughts
that first night out of the limo what are your thoughts on gary when you first meet him
my god oh my god I was sitting between edith and um marine
Nina and gorgeous women and nervous as hell, but I was so excited to meet him because I had seen
him on TV and I was so excited to meet him.
And again, I've heard this from the other women.
It's getting out of a limo and you're at the bachelor's mansion.
Yeah.
The crazy thing was Edith had done a confetti thing and it went everywhere.
Yeah.
I had to wait 30 to 45 minutes to get out.
the first one. I was the second one to get out. But I was sitting there going, oh my God,
oh my God, oh my God. Because they had to clean it up. Yeah. Oh my gosh. They should have just
gotten like a gigantic like superpower vacuum. Well, it was wet. So everything, it was almost like
you had to pick it up with tweezers or something coming up. Yeah. So how did that,
how did that first conversation go? Was there any spark there? What do you think?
I thought he was super handsome.
He lives 85 miles from me, his lake house.
And I initially, because the whole time that I was there waiting to meet him, those three or four or five days,
I just knew that he and I were going to end up together.
That was in my head.
And I think that's why being eliminated was so difficult because he was tall, handsome.
you know, an Indiana guy, you know, normal, regular guy.
So I really thought we had a, we...
On paper, like, it's definitely a fit.
It was, oh, my God, you know, the, our kids went to Iowa University, Yovine.
Wow.
You know, Iowa was a big, big part of my kids' education.
So, and so was his.
So, you know, I don't know.
I, I just assumed I would be the whole,
Why? Did you, did you not get, did you get any time in the house after that initial?
Yes.
You got more time with them?
Yes.
And how did that conversation flow?
Oh my God.
Horrible.
Really?
Okay.
Oh, no.
All right.
Okay.
So the thing was, I was going to bring up the fact that you can learn a lot about somebody by what they choose to eat.
I decided that I would present Gary.
with a plate of a hot dog, a brotwurst, and a pig in a blanket, and see what he would pick.
Was the hot dog in like a hot dog bun?
Yes, everything was in the bun and stuff.
And it was in a dome, you know, so I had to lift up the dome.
And when I looked at him, I saw this look on his face like, oh, no, she didn't.
What?
What?
Why?
Why?
I think it was, I think maybe I was a bit uncomfortable after making that choice.
I was, I think I was a bit uncomfortable because the topic was something that it wasn't easy to talk about hot.
I don't know.
And then it just kind of, and then thank God, Ellen came over and grabbed him.
And I have never found.
felt so much relief in my life because I felt like that initial, initial sitting down with him,
talking to him, looking into his eyes. I didn't get that. You didn't have a like a connection.
I did not.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious. Oh, wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast. So we'll find out soon. This person

Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the
same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them
both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated?
with his professor or not. To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the

Yes, yes

And listen now
It's hard to
Because you know
Like you said
Like you kind of romanticize the idea of him
Before getting out there
But like you just never know
Because you just don't know these people from Adam
And then like there's 30 other women there
And it's just
I think that first night's just so difficult
I think a lot of it truly is just like luck of the draw, like, you know, you just don't know, like it just, it is, it is, it's hard, but like, you don't hit it off with Gary, but how about any of the other women? Have you made friends with any of the other women in the house?
Actually, yeah, they, I gave her some advice and I think she took it. We were talking about. Yes, she, she is in everything. She's in a band. She does teaching. She did his horses. She has everything.
And I said, are you happy?
And she goes, well, I said, is there something that you could eliminate?
Because it sounds to me like you're not enjoying your life.
And she was talking about teaching.
And God, I hate to leave my teaching job because these kids are relying on me.
And I said, but how does that make you feel?
She goes, I don't like it.
And I said, quit.
Yeah.
And I found out she did.
Now, okay, she probably didn't get it from me.
No, but you might have still, like that conversation could have sparked some self-reflection, for sure.
You know, sometimes it just takes someone to ask the right question for you to go, huh, yeah, maybe I shouldn't do that.
Well, it was so sweet because when I saw it, women tell, oh, she came up to me and she hugged me and she said, she says, you're my best friend.
And then you got eliminated.
So we had, you know, and then Teresa was in my car.
And I just loved her because she was.
more interested in everybody else than she was in herself. And I thought that was a wonderful
trait to have. What are your thoughts? What are your thoughts in the finale and the whole
Trisa and Leslie thing of it all? Oh my God. A little cringy, a little sad, a little, oh my God,
if I had been in that place, how would I have acted? Yeah. You know, you never know how upsetting
something like that can be you've been invested you've been away from family you've been away from
your phone and now you're being pushed into these situations or not pushed but you find yourself
in these situations and the only people you can rely on is the bachelor and the girls in the mansion
there's nobody else you know to really to listen to so but i was thrilled for teresa i hope she invites me
to her wedding.
We'll see.
Watching it as a viewer,
who did you think
it was going to be?
You know,
for a long,
long time,
I thought it was Leslie
because she's very vibrant
and very,
she'll keep
any man excited
with things to do
and talk about.
But the closer
it got,
the more Teresa
really keyed in
on him
and his,
his needs and what he needed and and um she just really focused and i think her relationship with
her husband who had passed away that was key to her responding to uh gary so well so i really
connected over their shared experience oh my gosh yeah and there's something incredibly
intimate about that kind of an experience you know
Divorce, you can bash your husband.
But when you're a widow, what are you going to say?
Yeah.
People are, they kind of get bored when you start talking about your late husband.
Because, you know, it's your late husband.
He's not here.
Why are you talking about him?
So you don't feel comfortable about bringing him up.
But I think because both of them lost their spouses, they felt comfortable about talking.
about them.
It's not always easy as a widow.
You have to pretend you're not a widow.
Because first of all, you're invisible as an older person.
And if you're a widow, it's like, oh, ultra.
But this show has produced a confidence.
I walk into a room and it's like,
hi, well, I'm here.
The parties get started.
That's amazing.
There's just a feeling of, I'm not just a widow anymore.
And I feel like a lot of the women we've talked to have talked about, you know, their new sense of confidence and their ability to connect with people and, you know, meet hopefully new romantic partners and friends.
And we did hear that you made a special new friend on social media.
Oh, my gosh.
Yes, I did.
I got a text or somebody got a hold of.
me on
Instagram
okay
she's only six
she's six
she's six years old
and her mother
sent a video
to me
of her
when I got eliminated
and she turned the camera
onto her daughter and her daughter
was crying
but I wanted
him to pick her
and mom
goes, Lizzie, why?
Why did you want her to be picked?
Because she's so pretty.
So we started texting and she has sent me videos.
I'm expecting something in the mail because Lizzie drew me a picture.
She literally connected with me from never meeting me or never seen me before.
I'm probably, you know, almost 70 years old.
older than her. And the relationship that we have is, and during the women tell all, I sent
her a secret message. Really? What was it? Well, when they, when Jesse said, Pamela, I went,
I went like this and I told her that this, the V was for her. Oh, for those, for our listeners,
just because they can't, they can't see the symbol. If you watched the woman,
tell you might remember, but Pamela's holding up like a peace sign, but
sideways.
Sideways.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
And she was so, so she videotaped that, that she was watching me do that to her.
And she was like, oh, that's fun.
That's so sweet.
A little social media combined with little national television really can't connect people, you know.
Yeah.
I thought it was so cool.
It never occurred to me.
I'm waiting for all the men with private jets to call me.
Welcome, please.
I have to tell you, my son said to me, my son Rob said to me, he says, Mom,
what if the only reason that you were on the bachelor was to connect with one little girl?
I said, then it's all worth it.
Yeah.
Just a small connection.
a hundred years from now, 50 years from now,
is that little girl going to say,
gosh, I remember, you know, I don't know.
But it was just for me.
Because my grandkids are like, oh, really, grandma?
Oh, my God, I'm going to be teased.
Please don't do this.
Please don't do this.
You know, they were little skeptics.
No, it's beautiful.
It's so heartwarming to hear about, you know,
all the connections like I've made from the show.
I feel like the Golden Bachelor women all have, like, wonderful stories about connecting with football.
And honestly, you looked great during it.
You look great night one and you did a good job.
And honestly, you beat out a lot of women for that position.
And we have you on this podcast.
So, Pamela, honestly, thank you so much for coming on.
Happy Hour and sharing your story.
My pleasure and best wishes to you on your wedding and your marriage.
Oh, thank you.
I wish you nothing but re-verginging again.
Thank you so much, you guys.
It was such a pleasure.
Honestly, I'm thrilled to have met you and to be in your presence and have a wonderful,
wonderful holiday, okay?
You as well.
Thank you.
You as well.
Thank you.
Christina, welcome to Happy Hour.
Hi.
So good to be here.
So good to see you guys.
Good to see you too.
We got the chance to meet you at the Bachelor Mansion for the finale.
You went and watched the finale in the audience of Golden Bachelor and correct?
No, no, no.
I was just at the mansion.
You were just at the mansion.
Okay, okay.
I know a few of your ladies were there, but we got the chance we had dinner together.
We had drinks.
It was so fun.
It was so fun.
It was such a great night.
It was just the energy level and everything was just off the turn.
charts it was just every everything was about fun and having a good time absolutely yeah i spoke
with you for a little bit and you and joan were telling me about uh an idea for a show that you
guys want to pitch am i right do you remember that yes of course of course what is it yeah can we
hear a little bit about i want to know what it is well you know um first of all i just think this
um um whole franchise stuff with the golden bachelor being included is obviously
from things you see on Facebook and stuff is gaining a lot of traction.
People are really happy about it.
All of a sudden, you see everybody like talking to people a little older
and people talking about dating and what's going on in our age group.
And so, you know, looking for things that maybe are maybe a little more age appropriate.
So one idea we had, we had a couple, but the one was like,
because you have such a fan base with these women now that not to pick just one bachelor
rep, but pick three.
And then you have the guy still come in in the limo and everybody meets and greets.
When they go in the house, they go in the three ladies, let's say three, two, I think three
is a good number.
And you go into each rooms and then they do the speed dating thing.
And so each, you know, a guy comes through and he does, you know, five minutes with this
person, five minutes and that.
And they get to ask questions and such.
And at the end of that, then everybody rates each other.
so then the producers get to go oh this person like this person best this person best and they put people together and have one-on-one dates half-day dates real dates like ice cream in the movies or walking on the beach or you know real stuff that people do and then at the end the woman can either give the fellow a rose they still have the rose or she can say you know i think i want to go with my number two choice so then that leaves that guy out there for one of the other two women and she gets to go to number two i mean it
To me, it's creating constant drama and anticipation, and that's kind of the base of the idea.
Wait, I have a question, though.
So then what happens if, so let's say you're one of the three bachelors, right?
What happens if you like one of the guys and they like you, but they end up going, let's say Jones, the other bachelorette, they end up going on a date with Joan instead?
Is that, like, good conflict or is that going to, like, hurt people's feelings?
Well, you know, the maturity level of the women is a little bit different.
And you go into it knowing the rules, I think people would be okay.
I think where you're going to get the real big drama is when it gets down towards the end.
So, I mean, it's just throwing it out there.
It's like giving them something to think about instead of staying with the same format.
And, I mean, they could expound upon it in all different ways, but that was just one of our ideas to kind of keep the band base going because some of these women are so popular.
You'd hate to see only one get picked, you know?
I know.
That is true.
It is so hard, you know, that they can only choose one bachelorette, one bachelor.
We did have, did you watch Gabby and Rachel's season by any chance?
Oh, yeah.
So, yeah, they had two bachelettes in that season.
And so it kind of be a similar-esque to what you were.
yeah except these well i think those two girls were pretty much good friends but um i mean we have
such a camaraderie among all of us it's um i think that would be a beneficial thing for it
yeah that's my that's my thought i love it i love that you guys are coming up with such fun
creative ideas for the franchise and that you've kind of become invested in the show the same way
that we have now having been on it
Yes, very much so. In fact, I told them I wanted to be a consultant that, you know, because the producers and people, you guys are all pretty young. And so understanding kind of where a more mature mind, we've all lived like two or three lives, right? And it's like understanding where that kind of a mind is coming from that sometimes maybe, you know, there need a couple of ladies to consult with. So, wow. I thought I'd throw my husband in there.
Yeah, you should just change.
Justina wants to get hired.
Hire her.
I don't even care of getting hired.
I just really want to help this whole concept go forward.
I think it's hugely important and it's really been beneficial.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast.

Well, did I think in my lifetime that at 74 years old, I'd be doing this, that I'd be on a TV show, I'd be dating.
I'd be talking about the life of a single older person.
And, you know, it's been interesting some of the people, the questions they ask me and such, because I'm up there.
And so I, how old are you?
My oldest dreams would I think that this would happen.
How old are you?
74.
Okay.
And do you still work?
No, gosh, no.
And what did you, what did you used to do?
I retired at 66 from Nestle Foods.
I retired as a purchasing manager.
I had worked at another food company, and then I worked at Disney,
and then I worked at Fox for a while,
and then I ended back up in the food industry.
But always been kind of like the supply chain operation side of it.
Got it.
And how did you manage your way onto the Golden Bachelor?
I did see that first ad.
I went and I applied.
And I was like on my fourth interview to go downtown, L.A. for a face-to-face when COVID happened.
So I'm thinking, oh, my God, I'm 68.
This is never going to happen for me now.
So when they came out and announced it again and went higher in the age range, it was like, of course I'm going to apply.
Because I was really, really disappointed when the first time it had to ceased.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
So let's go back to that tonight one.
You get out of the limo.
You meet Gary for the first time.
What are your thoughts?
How is the spark between you two?
Well, first of all, you know.
in Good Morning America. He was introduced, and he's, you know, obviously everybody is a very handsome
guy, great personality. And when I saw all the things that he enjoyed, literally, I had something
in common with him in every aspect of it. And so I went very hopeful. And even my daughter
called me. And she goes, Mom, this guy's like so made for you. And because my kids, you know,
I just, I don't, I don't, I'm not very successful in my dating life, just finding
someone with my same energy level and my same interest. So I went in very hopeful. And it was
such a crazy night just to think that I was there and that whole environment. And then actually
like meeting him was was really awesome. Yeah. That first night can be pretty overwhelming. What like did
you when you, you and Gary had that first conversation. Did you feel anything? Like what were
your thoughts about him i was like a static because in person he's even more handsome and he was so
friendly because i got out and i kind of came at a wrong uh angle and he was so cute of kind of just
kind of inching me to the side to like you need to be stepping here and it's like oh my god because
i wasn't thinking anything it was like i needed help just to like talk so uh and it was wonderful
it was really really fun coming out of the limo such like a wild experience i remember i had
a stepping stool. I had like a little prop for my intro. And I stepped out of the car. I was the first
one out of my limo. And I swung back and I knocked the limo with my step stool. And then I was
walking off. I was like, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. Like it's such an overwhelming night. You're
looking around. Everyone's looking at you and they're looking at the lead. And you don't know what
they're going to show and what they're not going to show. So you're so conscious of like every
movement, you know, everything you say and all that kind of stuff. You really are because you have
no idea how it's going to end up coming out.
So then you go into the first rose ceremony.
Do you remember feeling confident if you were like felt like you were going to go home,
if you were sure you were going to go to Rose?
I felt very confident.
We had a very, very nice conversation, and I served in wine.
So I thought that was a big plus.
And we had a delightful conversation.
And so I was pretty confident that I would get one.
What did you guys talk about in that first conversation?
Well, I have my families like my heart and all of us girls, again, as we're older, we have
grandkids and kids. So we talked about family. We talked about things we like to do. Let's see,
we talked about things that I was really passionate about and interested in and travel. I travel
since I've retired. I've been to like 13 countries. Oh, wow. So I shared with them that.
And then I shared with them this. I have this philosophy. You're in your go-go years, your slow-go
years or your no go years and that I'm still in my go-go years and hope to be for quite a while.
And so that's why I stay so active.
You've been to 13 countries. Do you have a favorite place that you've ever been?
You know, I do not. Most of them have very special things about them, each one of them.
If I had to pick some, I couldn't pick just one. But going to Africa and seeing the animals and
stuff that's pretty tough to you know get over and then the Galapagos was amazing and then I did
about three different trips that were give back that you go and you you actually you stay in like
two star places and you work but you also still get to see all the things that the country has
to offer and the tip the regular sites that you would want to see but like in Thailand I had my own
elephant for four days had to cut the elephant grass and feed him and walk them down to the
river and bathe them and then in Cambodia that trip was a Thailand Cambodia trip we taught school
for half a day and oh my it was just that trip was life changing so that trip's pretty far up there
yeah that sounds amazing yeah it was okay so then we see you you last on the show for a good
amount of time but you end up going home yeah after the talent show just kind of looking back
at your experience, what would you say was your favorite part of it all?
Of the whole experience, of course, meeting the women.
One of my goals was to leave with friends.
It's hard finding women in this age group that have the same energy level and are adventurous
and like to do some of the same things I like to do.
And so I went with great anticipation that I would find, you know, a couple ladies
that I could, you know, connect with
and stay in touch with.
And I found more than a couple.
And so that was one of my goals.
I was, unfortunately, my talent didn't get shown,
but I had so much fun working with the producers
and putting that together.
And that was a really fun day
because that was like, you know,
we all were in front of an audience
and every, to see what the ladies had come up with
was over, it was, I mean,
even Jesse goes, I'd pay to see this show.
And, I mean, it was amazing some of the talents these ladies had.
What was your talent that didn't get shown?
So I did a dialogue about kids today and, you know, that they're inside and they're, you know,
and I made different names up for like Twitter.
I called it Titter and I made different names up for everything.
And you know, they're not experiencing like what I did.
And then in my day, we had like jacks and pick of sticks and dodge ball and tether ball.
And you had to, you know, put a key and have these skates that gripped your shoes.
and you'd skate and you're always outside.
And, you know, you had Hulu Hoop and we would take our dad's clothes and stuff and stuff,
newspapers in them, and tie a rope to it and throw it out in the street and cars would run over it.
And then people would get out yelling and we'd run.
And then when I was 11, I won a yo-yo contest.
And so at that time in the show, I brought out my yo-yo and started doing yo-yo's,
and I did tricks that actually all worked.
I was successful on all of them.
And then I brought Gary to the stage and had him do yo-yo.
how was he um he got it up and down a couple of times but you know that was cold that was
you know he didn't have time to warm up but he was a trooper of course as he always was got it
well before we uh before we let you go what are your thoughts on the way it ended gary and
trisa and leslie you know um from day one i had picked leslie and nancy to be finals i of course
hoped that i would be but once you see the caliber of women's
that were there.
Those two girls were the ones I had picked.
But as you went through the, well,
I didn't get to go that far to see it firsthand.
But as I watched it on TV, it was pretty,
it was very difficult because I saw that they both had such connections and stuff.
But I think he made the right choice.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think so.
I think so, too.
Well, Christina, thank you so much for coming on,
happy hour and taking the time.
and we really appreciate it getting to know you.
Thank you so much.
It was really good seeing both of you.
Hope to see you again.
And I wish you well and happy holidays.

My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly.
Now I'm seriously suspicious.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
