When you think about emotion regulation, you're not going to choose an adaptive strategy
which is more effortful to use unless you think there's a good outcome.
Avoidance is easier.
Ignoring is easier.
Denials easier.
Complex problem solving takes effort.

What is up, Bachelor Happy Hour?
It's your host, Becky, here.
And I'm so excited for this episode today because we're doing something a little bit different.
We have a very special episode for you all because today we're talking all about Bachelor Live on stage.
And I know through DMs and through comments on social media,
y'all have a lot of questions regarding the show. And so I am here. I am bringing on all of the
seven guys that will be on stage with me throughout the entire show to chat about what's to come,
what we're excited for, all of the tour dates, the cities, etc. It's going to be amazing.
We have been waiting for two years since COVID really ended the last leg of this tour. And so
I'm just ready to get back on the road. I think the best way to start this all is to give
everyone a quick little recap of what exactly Bachelor live on stage totally is because again
there's so many questions and when I first went out on tour in 2020 no one knew what to expect
obviously we did not know that COVID would shut everything down mid tour leaving a lot of people
with questions of just is this going to come back so here we are ready to go like I said
we are going to be doing things a little bit differently this year very very exciting but
basically to recap what it was when this originally started i was co-hosts with my dear friend
ben higgins and basically what it was is it was bringing the actual bachelor bachelor's show
to you to a city to a theater for all of the fans and the followers to really feel like they
were part of the show it truly was like the biggest watch party for the fans and
a night where everyone could feel like they were actually part of the show. They were immersed with
us. We were able to interact with the audience and ask them questions and pull people up on stage
and have guest appearances from everyone within Bachelor Nation in each city. At that point,
we had one local guy in each city who was our bachelor. And then we had anywhere from, I would say,
10 to 12 women up on stage as contestants vying for that one final rose at the end.
At that point, the couple, if you will, the happy couple received a fun package from us
to go and experience a great date night around the city.
This time it's going to be a little bit different because I don't have one set co-hosts
with me. Instead, I will be bringing seven different guys from past seasons with me each week.
and they are going to be The Bachelor, but they're also going to be like a guide as well.
And so we're going to be able to give our experiences throughout the night of things that we found memorable or remember or like key moments from our seasons and really give more behind the scenes details of what we experience in our personal life.
I would say the coolest and probably my most favorite part of each show is that it's always different because each city.
is vastly different. Each contestant is vastly different. The crowds are different each night. We never
know what to expect. It's really like roulette with what people will say, what they'll do. There's
wild cards. There's tears sometimes. There's laughs. There's drama. There's kisses. There's all these
fun moments that we just kind of have to wing it each night, which makes it so fun. We have a main
outline for the show. So the key moments from The Bachelor and Bachelor and in Parenthood,
that we always see like group dates, limo entrances, the rose ceremonies, hometowns, fantasy
suites, that's all part of this show. And it's very interesting because we get to travel on a
tour bus, which I never thought I would experience in my life. It was a new change of pace,
but something that was just actually really fun and unique and truly the best way to just experience
new cities all across the country. And this time I'm so ready because, again,
again, because COVID shut things down the first time, we didn't get to make it to half the
country. And so this time, fingers crossed, we're making it all the way through to every city.
We're going to be hitting 40 plus cities. It's going to be a wild time, but something so
exciting. So if you want to join or you want to get tickets with your friends or family or even
just for yourself, or if you want to potentially be a contestant on stage with us, you can check
everything out and buy tickets at bachelor live onstage.com. Basically, we're kicking it off
in Peoria, Illinois on March 16th. And we're hitting, like I said, 40 plus cities in a span of
one and a half months. So it's going to be busy. It's going to be chaotic, but so much fun.
Again, you can find those tickets. You can find the cities, the venues, the dates, all at
bachelor live onstage.com. So without further ado, I think I just have
have to introduce you to these seven men who will join me on stage we've announced this on
instagram but they are going to be here today to talk about their dates their cities what they're
excited for so i think we just have to bring on our first special guest of the day and that is
one of our fan favorites mr rodney what's up back up what's up rodney how's it going
Good. Long time. No, C. Rodney, I have to say you, like, you just have this energy that's infectious. I feel like it's just contagious. And that's why I'm so excited to have you on Bachelor Live on stage with me. What are you most looking forward to?
I mean, as you know, this is so new to me, but I'm really excited to see like Bachelor Nation face to face. You know, I think right now as being a part of the cast, we kind of just see Bachelor.
nation through social media or maybe whenever we go out and just get fans coming up to us.
But I think it's going to be so nice to be up there, live on stage, and being able to interact
with fans and do like actual meet and greet and play games and obviously have like a night
at the mansion.
So I'm just so excited to finally be a part of it and see it firsthand and see everyone's
excitement because I know I'm excited.
So I think everyone's excited.
Well, I think everyone's excited and they're especially excited for you.
I mean, I had mentioned this to you separately, but so many people have slid into my own DMs or have made comments on the post in regards to Bachelor Live on stage asking, first of all, what cities you'll be in and then being pissed that you're not in certain cities with them.
So to start my first question, can you give me a list of the cities and dates that you'll be traveling with me?
Yes. So I will be live from April 5th to April 10th. And my cities will be.
we'll start off in Pittsburgh
and then we'll go to
Morristown, New Jersey. Then from there we'll go
to Roanoke, Virginia, North
Charleston, Fayetteville
and then lastly we'll finish
in Atlanta. So I'm really excited.
Out of all of those cities, because they're all going to be great,
they're all going to be so vastly different and fun in their own
unique ways. What one, though, are you
most looking forward to? I'm excited to go to Carolinas. I'm excited to go there.
I've heard a lot of great things.
Honestly, I think I've always
I've also always wanted to go to Atlanta.
So Atlanta is going to be, that's going to be very exciting for me.
That's always a bigger city I've always wanted to go to as well.
I'd rarely ever get to travel to the East Coast.
So, yeah, it'll be exciting for me to go on tour and see other cities that I've never been before.
So I'm just excited to kind of get out there and see what else this nation has to offer, especially Bachelor Nation.
Oh, it's going to be wild.
And something that you will definitely experience is just,
how intense in the best way bachelor nation is because there's a reason that people have watched
and loved the show for close to do decades. It's like it just brings people together. But when you're
actually face to face with the crowd and the fans, like it's unlike anything you've ever
experienced before. And I will say some people get pretty rowdy. So how are you going to handle the
fans? And I would say men and women who throw themselves at you, who scream at you, who
want to grab you like how are you going to handle all of that because it's going to happen it's
going to happen to be honest I have no idea how I'm going to handle that it's just going to be one
of those things where I'm just going to wing it and play it by ear and see what happens and just
react as best as I can I sure I'll definitely be shocked on this tour some way somehow but I'm glad
I have you there so you'll kind of lead me through it and kind of give me a heads up but like you
said, I mean, every city's different. Every day is going to be different. So I have no idea
of what's, uh, what's going to happen next. It's, it's going to be a wild ride changing each
and every night and every moment. So you've been part of Michelle's season. So you kind of know
what this bachelor world is like, but the contestants that are joining us on stage, like this is
totally new to them. They've never done anything like this before. So what is your best piece of
advice to give the contestants that will be on stage with us?
my best advice is to really truly just be you be genuine be who you are that's i mean there's
nothing better than that and i think some people um obviously i'm newer to the on see part but i've seen
it firsthand being on the show and some people off camera will be really cool and i'll have breakfast
with them and they're just really chill and calm and then you know on camera and things start to change
And I think it's so much better if you just be you the entire time and you don't switch up.
You don't try to act different.
I think some people get worried about like, oh, am I being weird or nervous or awkward?
Just be you.
And that's something where I finally felt comfortable because I was like, you know, I'm just
going to be me and see how far it gets me and see what happens.
And so for anyone who's going to be on that stage, it might be a little nerve-wracking or anything
like that.
But it's like, hey, no need to be shaky.
Like, let's have fun.
just be you i want to i want to see you laugh i want to see you smile i want to see personality um yeah
that's kind of what i'm looking for is to just to have fun and making a night that we'll never
forget what's something that if a contestant does this on stage you would automatically
give your roast to them um um wow that's a good question um i'm i'm trying to think of like
what would actually wow me i guess uh because i feel like
there's going to be some pretty good limo entrances.
So I'm really excited to, like, give out, like, a first impression rose.
Like, I can't even imagine how it's going to feel, you know, when we're out there and starting
off in Pittsburgh, you know, for my first show.
I'm just, like, really excited to do that and just going to figure out, hey, who actually
wowed me and who just earned this rose off the back.
So I'm not really sure what they could do to wow me, but I'm just excited to see what they
come up with because I know it's going to happen.
Yeah, so much is going to happen.
And it looks like somebody is crashing our party right now, Rodney.
Is that one boy, Rick?
Oh, Rick.
Oh, what's up, Rick?
What's up, Rodney?
How you doing?
Oh, good.
How are you?
Good, man.
Wow.
This is the excitement I get from you guys every single night on stage.
I'm here for it.
Rick, how the hell have you been?
Been good.
Life is going well.
and a month away from the tour
so I can't freaking wait to get on that
Well, you guys together
We're both on Michelle's season
And I'm sure experienced
And shared so many crazy memories
What's one thing that you guys
Like remember together
That really stuck out too
During your time on Michelle's season
I'm curious to see if this is gonna be
Same answer
The first thing that popped to my mind
is we all missed music
Like in the worst way
And so just having the guys
whenever we weren't from Michelle,
just sing out loud,
just singing all kinds of songs
and doing terrible versions of those songs
and doing not very good justice
to those people that originally sing them.
But that was the highlight for me,
just have a bond with it
and just doing our own version of karaoke in the back.
How was Rodney as a singer?
Oh, Rodney.
Okay, Rodney gives themselves not enough props
in any category,
and especially when it comes to singing,
let alone the dance moves
that everyone's going to be.
seen on tour? Oh, hell yeah. Oh, my gosh. He's down for the dance battles, let's put that way.
Oh, this is what I like to hear because you know there's going to be a lot of dancing on stage.
I hope you guys stretch beforehand. Yeah, we're definitely going to have to stretch. No,
I already knew Rick and I were going to be close from night one because seeing him in a table
and me as me as an apple, I just looked at him. I said, you know what, man, I feel your pain.
I'm here with you. We're going to make it through tonight and I can only imagine how sore you are.
So, yeah, just I knew, and just seeing him, I was like, Rick, just please don't be, please don't be too tall.
It's like, cool, man.
He steps out.
He's all handsome, good looking at stuff.
I was like, come on, Rick.
Like, give me something here.
So, no, I always knew me and Rick would be close, you know, before, after the show, all that good stuff.
So I'm excited.
We sing all the time, and we joke around.
But once again, as we talked about the advice, but Rick was himself the entire time, just like I was.
So that's another reason why we got so croaks.
and we really grew like we did.
So, yeah, I know people are going to see that on the tour,
and it's going to be really exciting.
Well, I can't wait to have you both alongside me.
Rodney, it has been so much fun having you on.
I will see you very, very soon.
In the meantime, I'm kicking you off because I'm chatting with Rick now
and I'm going to get all of the good deeds from him.
Okay.
I'm out.
Thank you so much, Becca.
Take here, Rodney.
Have a good one, guys.
Good to see you.
Good to see you.
Bye.
Well, Rick, good to see you.
We obviously had you on Bachelor Happy Hour a few months ago.
during Michelle's season.
But since then, what's new?
How have you been since we last spoke?
I've been really good.
I actually moved back to Chicago
and I missed the city.
I missed the Midwest.
And so it's so good to be back
and what feels like home to me.
But then outside of that,
I mean, I just look back
like, I feel very fortunate
I've had those opportunities
to be on the show,
but also just the friends I made,
obviously saw Rodney.
And now the Bachelor Live
on state, on tour,
I'm just I'm so pumped for it just I've had so many people reach out and it's so cool like
I'm still not used to any means by any means whatsoever so it's like kind of it's fun I can't wait
to see people in person and just have fun with them have a great night and just you know create some
memories yeah oh so many memories will be created so much fun so many laughs will be had before
we get into everything can you give all of our listeners the rundown of what cities and dates
you will be traveling with me.
Yeah, for sure.
So I'm going to Minneapolis on March 22nd.
Yeah, my hometown.
I missed it.
Last time I was there, you know, I had a heartbroken, huh?
March 23rd is Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
March 24th, so I'm going to Cincinnati, Ohio.
On the 25th, Rosemont, Illinois.
So all my Chicago friends better be coming out.
And now on 26th, Cleveland, Ohio, which is basically home to me.
And then Detroit, Michigan on the 27th of March.
So a full week.
And I cannot wait to make every stop.
Midwest is home to me, so I can't wait to meet a bunch of Midwesterns and others alike.
But I think it's really cool to go outside Chicago to Rosemont, real close by, but also Minneapolis.
I have so many great memories, obviously, from the show.
Milwaukee, I have a lot of friends.
Milwaukee, actually, it's close to Chicago.
And then Cleveland, Detroit, and Cincinnati, I mean, all these cities I've been to.
And I haven't been to in a while.
So I'm excited to get back.
you you have a good stint on bachelor's avon stage with me i will say before
covid shut us all down the last time around our very last show we did ever was the
minneapolis show and i'm not just saying this because it's my hometown and i have such a soft spot
for it but it was truly the most wild fun show we did on the entire tour like the crowd
there was wild it was so electric i think so we have an
audio guy and he had said that it was like the sound in that theater was more than like a rock
concert I believe like it was that crazy like Ben and I were on stage and I don't even think we
talked for 10 minutes because so many people were cheering and screaming and so that's something that
you will experience I mean the women on the stage like this is their first time they feel like
they're part of the show with us but the audience feels like that too so they feel like they'll
have a say in your journey and who you hand out roses
too. So you'll hear cheers. You'll hear screams. You're going to hear booze. Like, are you ready for
how interactive the audience will be? I want more, the most interactive audience that we can get. I want
the wild ones. I want the fun ones. I want the ones. I'm going to be taking in everyone's,
you know, perspective. I'm going to be trying to listening for help. You know, I can't wait for a
wild night. Like, I mean, you got to create some memories. You got to do some things outside your
comfort zone to make it wild and fun, you know. And that's the thing. It's like you never really know what
to expect it's always a wild card and that's the cool part about this is because you can't fully
prep for this you just kind of have to go with the flow and embrace it i mean much like when you're
on the actual show you have no say in anything right like you kind of just have to fly by the seat
of your pants and say okay whatever comes my way i have to deal with it and so that's what this
night is going to be um speaking of wild cards we have somebody crashing our party right now i have
no idea who's hopping on this time around but let's find out oh we got ivan here what's up guys
what's up how's it going iven my people it's gone good he's crashed in our party i love it
yeah yeah definitely i'm here for that i think we were just talking to rick about just like how
crazy fun these nights are going to be um you've done a few more seasons obviously you were in
paradise with me what is one bit of advice for rick
now that he's going to be way more immersed
in the world of Bachelor Nation
that you can give to him for when he's on stage with me.
Oh, my gosh.
Just be prepared for anything.
You know, one thing I've definitely learned over the last year
is that Bachelor Nation fans are passionate
and they're the best fans out there
and you just got to be ready for it, to be honest.
So I know you just got off the season
and you're probably recognizing some of that,
but with all these, like, super fans
that are going to be at the shows,
I think the energy is going to be great.
you know, I met you
when we went and did the photo shoot
and I'm sure you're ready for it.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
You got to be ready for it.
There's no going back now, fellas.
Yeah, yeah.
Rick, it has been so good to see you.
I can't wait to be spending more time with you on the road.
I'm sure you're a busy guy.
So I'm going to let you go, but we will catch up very soon.
Appreciate it.
All right.
Take care.
See you a bit.
Peace.
All right, cool.
Bye.
Ivan, it's so good to see you.
I have to say, Thomas is going to be very sad
that he is not around to say hello to you.
I'm sure he'll be calling you later.
I know, I know.
I haven't seen you since paradise.
How have you been?
I've been really good.
You know, life's weird.
Life's crazy.
But overall, I've been really good, you know, just take things with stride.
And I'm blessed, honestly, to live the life I have, go through the experiences I've gone through.
And then this is just like, you know, my third year in a row now, I guess, where I'm, like, doing something bachelor nation related.
And, you know, it always brings about exciting things.
So, very excited to be doing the tour.
Good.
Can you give all of our listeners a run?
down of the dates and cities that you'll be in with me yeah so i'll be doing six shows and um they'll be
i start off april 18th in new orleans april 19th i go to sugarland in the houston area then i
april 20th i go to san antonio april 21st i go to austin april 22nd i go out to west
tex or we go out to west texas and midland and then april 23rd we finish up in dallas uh over at the
theater and Grand Prairie. So very happy to be finishing off in my hometown there. I think that's
going to be probably my favorite show of the tour. Yeah. Well, I was going to say because obviously
you're from Texas. Like this is your area. Like you have the best spot I think of the tour for you
personally. What city are you most excited about besides Dallas? Oh, besides Dallas. I have never
been to New Orleans. But I absolutely, yeah, I absolutely love Asian food. I don't know why I've never made
it down there. So I'm really excited to try out the food. And, you know, that'll be the first
one. So I'm sure that's going to be probably the most nerve-wrecking one, but also the most exciting.
So, yeah, very excited for New Orleans. Well, I will say, I think we have a day off before or after
New Orleans. And so we'll be able to, like, go and explore. I've been there once before. And
we are going to eat our hearts out. Okay. I don't know if we're going to fit into our outfits on
stage later that night, but try our best. One thing. One thing.
that's so exciting about each and every night is it's so different. Like we truly never know what to
expect and especially this time around when I have you and the six other men with me. Every show and
every week is going to be so different because you guys just bring something unique to the table.
So what do you think for you personally? You're going to be bringing to the shows that you're that you're joining me with.
Yeah. So I think the most exciting thing for me, you know, I'm not like Connor where I'm going to be singing up
there. Well, you might be. You never know. Yeah, you never know. I might be sticking up.
there. Justin's got the art thing going for him. But one thing I do know, especially since this is
like my home area and Texas specifically is like the fans down here are great to me. I've seen
that in Dallas. I've seen that in everywhere I've gone here. And I think I do know how to have a
really good time. And once you know, the wine starts flowing with everybody and, you know,
we get into the groove. I think it's going to be a great night for everybody involved.
So we saw you on Tasia season, right? And you were one of a contestant. So you were one of contestants.
were receiving the roses. Then we saw you on Paradise, whereas a little bit back and forth,
you received the roses and you also gave some out. So do you feel like going into Bachelor
Live on stage, you're a little bit more equipped to be handing out the roses this time around?
Yeah. No, yeah, definitely getting that little bit of experience of handing out some roses. You know,
that's a different ballgame. You know, I think the definitely the more nerve-wracking part is
receiving because you never know if you're going to get one. But, you know, through the help of the
audience and yourself, you know, I'm sure we'll be able to, you know,
whittle down to, you know, the top contestant each night. And it's going to be a good time.
Do you think you're really going to pay attention to what the audience is saying? Because
you could be so into one or several of the women on stage, but the audience could have a completely
different approach or regard for them. How are you going to deal with what they're saying to you
versus what you're trying to go for? Yes. So for me, honestly, I'm going to mostly just go off of the
energy in the room. Whoever is doing the most and being the most entertaining and bringing good
energy to the stage is who's going to get roses for me. So that's all I want. I want everybody
just to have a good time. It's good, lighthearted fun. And I think if we go with that route,
then, you know, the top performer will win, I guess you could say. What is something that if one of the
women does on stage, you're automatically in, like you're automatically going to give them a rose.
oh oh if you can get people to jump out their seats then you're automatically going to advance
the next round pretty much yeah if you can get the audience to jump out their seats cheering for you
that that'll do it okay okay so ladies listening if you're coming to any of ivan shows if you're
going to be one of our contestants make sure you get that crowd going um i just had a question about
oh i wanted to ask you so what is something that if a woman did this on stage one of the contestants
said this, you would be like, uh, uh, I can't, I can't keep this one around any longer.
Um, let's see. If any, um, you know, there's not much, honestly, um, other than like,
no, yeah, there's not much, unless you're being like super overly aggressive and hitting
on me and like, you know, I don't know, trying to make out with me on stage randomly, then yeah,
that's a, that's a no, no go right there. But no, there's not much that's going to throw me off,
honestly. I think it's going into it's just good lighthearted fun. So I'm really open for
anything and just for them to be themselves really. Yeah. Well, I have to say there were some
shows that we did where because of course like people like to have fun. They let loose. They
have a few cocktails before they come on stage. Like there was one show I remember where
one of the contestants kept trying to make out with Bachelor like in front of all the other
girls like she was very aggressive but i will say it worked for her because for her because she
ended up getting picked at the very end and the couple dated for months afterwards for months like
they were i would say the strongest couple i'm not even kidding i thought that they were going to
get engaged wow so you never know i think i might have to have one of those side talks for that person
yeah to take the lima home to ask if i can walk them off the stage we'll have a code word so if if a
If it gets uncomfortable, just like, we'll have like a symbol or something where I'll be like,
okay, I got to step in for my boy, Ivan.
Speaking of stepping in, we have somebody else crashing our party right now.
And I'm wondering who's up next.
Oh, we got Justin.
What's up?
Justin, you're growing up the facial hair.
Big dog, Justin.
Yeah, it's a little chilly here.
It's a little chilly here in Baltimore.
So I got to stay warm.
I'm trying to get like Ivan, honestly.
Yeah, you both are looking.
Is the only time that you two have met in person when you guys were doing the promo shoot?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, that was the only time so far.
Okay.
I'm hoping he makes it down at Dallas.
Got a little birthday coming up soon.
Oh, yeah.
That'd be fun.
I want an invite too.
Damn.
I know.
Hold on, Becca.
You have the invite as well.
I already told Thomas.
Oh, perfect.
Okay.
I'll crash.
Ivan, before we let you go, can you, because again, you've been on the giving and receiving
end of giving out roses, is there any advice that you can give for Justin when he's on stage
with me? Justin, I think you should fall in love with multiple women on stage. That'll probably
have the most chaos in that two-hour period. So I think we should just go. Wait, I'm going to take
that advice with a grand of salt. I did tap into fashion paradigm. So I'm going to take that one with
the class. Fair enough. Wait, so are you telling Justin that he should be sneaking out of the tour
bus at night?
Yes.
Oh, you know I had to.
You've seen me up for that one.
No, never know.
Yep.
Choose chaos on this tour.
Just choose chaos.
It is what it is.
Truly, now's the time to do it.
You probably won't even get in trouble for it.
You never know.
It has been so fun.
I'm going to kick you off, but I will be seeing you very, very shortly and I cannot wait.
All right.
Much love, guys.
All right.
We'll see you later.
All right, peace.
Justin.
How the hell are you?
I'm good. I'm good. I can't complain. How's life with you?
Life's good. I'm excited for tour. It's going to be so fun. We've had some of the other guys already on talking about what to expect, what they're looking forward to.
So before we get into all of that, can you give all of our listeners a rundown of your dates and cities that you'll be with me?
Yeah, yeah. I'm starting. I think it's either the 28th end of March, last week of March through April 3rd. I started in Reading. I hit Boston, Baltimore, D.C., Philly. And,
I feel like I'm missing one more, but I think that might be it.
I think that might be it, too.
Well, the main one, the main thing that I have to tell you is that you're going to be on
Oh, New York City.
How can I figure it?
Oh, yeah, you can't forget that one.
The best for last.
That's the one that we were most looking forward to last time just because it's New York
City.
It can't be beat.
Did you ever think that you were going to be on stage in New York City?
Honestly, no.
No.
No, I was going to say.
Not for this.
No.
You're going to be on stage with me when it's my birthday.
I think it's the D.C. show, April 3rd.
So that's going to be extra fun time.
Yeah.
So we've got to end it with a bang.
We will end it with a bang.
And I think we have a day off before or after that, too.
So we'll be able to have some fun.
I think Thomas will come for that one.
Okay.
One thing that I have to bring up, because when we saw you on Katie season,
and you were known for your hilarious, iconic facial expressions.
Please tell me you will be bringing those to the stage.
They don't stop.
They come with me everywhere I get.
Even if I want to leave them home,
they come with me.
So that's inevitable.
I don't know what to expect on this tour,
but if there's one thing I can guarantee,
it's my face is going to speak.
I hope people get close-ups of all of your facial expressions.
And we have, I mean,
because like this is a full-blown production.
We have singing, dancing, music.
like we have dancers who move the bodies around and prop changes like there's so much but we do
have a massive screen behind us and so while we're on tour i'm going to just get a compilation
of all of your iconic facial expressions we're just going to do like a compilation at the very
very end of this did you see the compilation from from from from kdc that they did at uh oh yeah
did i ever yes we might need to we're coming back from part two um i'm so excited this is like
you said like you never know what to expect it's a wild card each and every night so what is
something besides the facial expressions that you are going to bring to the table as our bachelor
honestly i'm just i mean like people may not know this i'm sure they do now postseason um but i
like honestly i'm just a clown um i guarantee you like i said i don't know what to expect but i
guarantee you there's two things i can i can guarantee my my facial expressions and two i will
probably embarrass myself at some point.
But that's kind of like, to me, that's how you have the most fun.
You don't take things too seriously.
You know, you keep it loose.
You keep it light.
And I'm just there to have fun.
And so I hope people will feed off of that energy.
And we can all have a blast.
Oh, we will.
There's not about it.
We will definitely have a blast.
Obviously, this time around is a little bit different because each of you guys,
you're only going to be with me for a week.
It's not like you're going to be with me the entire time on tour.
And so I think people, especially the women and the contestants on stage with us, think that,
ooh, maybe I will get a date with The Bachelor at the end of this and, you know, maybe something could happen.
Do you think, after all of these shows and after everyone that you meet, if somebody caught your eye, would you be open to continuing dating them?
I mean, never say never, right?
Like, I'm not, you know, you never know.
the one could be on stage with you one night
yeah I guess we'll have to see I mean
come with your best
let's see what's something that somebody would do
that would like make your jaw drop while you
hmm
to make my jaw
I mean honestly I don't think there's a single
act or any
one particular thing that somebody
could say i think it's just like i'm very intuitive and i'm big off of vibes and just like natural
organic connections and so like as we're up there we're loose we're having fun if i can see if i feed
off somebody's energy and they're and they're feeding off of mine as well and that you know you just
the vibe is there you know when you know you know you know right so i think it would be more of like
a feeling than just it's like oh they did this they did that you know it's uh you know you know
if you feel it you feel it all right well we're gonna see if we feel it on stage at some point
In the meantime, somebody is crashing the party.
And I truly have no idea who's next.
But let's bring them on because the more the merrier, right?
Let's see. Let's have a party.
What's up, James? What's up?
James, my man.
Justin, I'm loving the beard, bro.
It looks good, right?
I appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you.
I don't know how much longer it's got left.
Okay, since you guys were both on Katie's season together,
you've gotten to know each other pretty well.
Like, what's one bit of advice you can both share with each other
or something that you would, like, want to see from the other person on stage?
Yeah, Justin, I'll let you go first if you got something.
Wise.
Yeah, no, I mean, I just from obviously spending a lot of time with James during, you know,
filming and then, you know, just seeing them talking to him afterwards.
Like, I can't say James is the ones people like, what you see is what you get.
Like, James is himself through and through 100% of the time.
And so, I mean, I'm going to try to take my own advice,
but I know you will as well because it comes easy.
Like James, if you or yourself, people will love you.
And like I said, it comes easy for you, you know.
And for some brownie points, probably bring the dog on stage.
I love you more.
Yes. I was going to ask, is the dog coming?
Yeah.
So I'm in works with production and the travel team, but it's looking highly likely.
It's looking highly likely.
So I'm excited.
I will say Minow was with me the last time around and she loved the tour bus.
life. Like she was living her best life so spoiled. So if you can bring him,
definitely bring him along with these. Becca, once I heard that, I was like,
all right, no-brainer. Yeah. I have to bring him. He needs to. He needs to. I didn't know
Batchelive on stage was pet friendly, but after hearing that,
oh, oh, I brought Minow on stage with me almost every night. Like she would,
she would make appearances. She should have gotten paid. I love it. I love it. Um,
Justin, thank you. We will be seeing you so, so soon. I cannot wait.
All right. You got sick.
Take care.
Bye, Justin.
James, I have not seen you in quite some time.
Obviously, we spent much time together on the beach in paradise.
I have to ask this question because this is the only thing that I get into my DMs
when people saw that you were announced to be one of the bachelors with me.
They want to know, besides the dog, are you going to be bringing Aaron out at all?
How did I know this was coming?
You know what?
I'm fortunate enough.
I obviously live here in San Diego.
So I've kind of seen my tour dates and I have a lot of cities that are just a drive away.
So I'm hoping a lot of friends, even family can come visit.
Aaron included.
I think we're getting some dates planned.
But I'm sure you'll see him front row at one of the stops.
Oh, he'll probably be on stage with you.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think so.
He might be one of the people you give that final roast to at the end.
I mean, you know, we left Paradise together.
What's not to say?
I don't just walk off that stage with them.
Keep the bromance going, buddy.
Before we get into more questioning,
I do have to ask you,
because you mentioned you'll be in Southern California.
What are the dates and the exact cities
that you will be joining me at?
Yep.
So April 25th to May 1st,
and I have a bunch of great locations.
I'm in El Cajon, Riverside,
Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles.
And then I'm venturing out to Salt Lake City.
I have Reno.
And then one I'm really excited for,
I have Vegas on one of my
dates. So it's going to be a fun
journey. You have one of the best weeks
I will say, and I think you out of all the guys
have the most cities, right? Like you're doing
seven with me, I believe. Yeah. Yeah.
It's going to be jam-packed
for what is it, just about
a week. But I'm ready
for it. I'm ready. Oh my gosh. It's going to
be so much fun. So when we saw
you come out on Katie's season, well,
we didn't see you physically come
out. We saw you in the box.
Will the box be making an appearance?
on stage. I've come to just, I've come to terms with it that I guess it's my signature
entrance for now. I mean, for better, for worse. If I have to roll out in a box in seven
different cities, you know, so I did it. I did it in New Mexico. I did it on the beach and
for paradise. So I guess I just have to own it at this point, you know, so. I mean, you are a
literal gift to bachelor's. How would you feel about if one of the girls comes out in a box?
Oh, I would love it. I would, that's, that's dedication. That's, that's, that's dedication. That's,
That's, you know, when I did it in New Mexico for Katie, I wanted to do something different, unique, show my fun side.
So, you know, that would really resonate with me. So I'm all for it. I'm all for it. I love it. I will say we do have some dancing and lip syncing in the show. And so her being in the box would be so hilarious because we have dancers in the background that kind of have to move all the bodies because there's so much going on. So I would love to see one of the dancers just like moving this box around and having like.
the girl pop out with her microphone.
Finally, someone would be able to relate to the struggle and the pain I went through.
Yes, exactly.
But it would go a long way.
It certainly would be appreciated.
And yes, I did hear about the lip singing and all the dancing.
And that is something I'm extremely excited for.
It's such a good time.
I will say that's one of my favorite acts throughout the entire night is that group date.
Okay, so this time around, we're doing the show a little bit differently.
Before we had all the contestants ready to go,
they would come out with their their limo entrances this time though instead of having them wait
backstage we're pulling people up from the audience like we they will come dressed ready
to the nines with their entrance already planned and we will be hand selecting them from the audience
so what is something that if like somebody from the audience who wanted to be contestant
you know who's joining us what would they have to do to catch your eye you know what i could give you
this elaborate answer, but it's simple. I just, I'd love to see someone that's just genuinely excited
to be there, you know, walk up with a big smile on their face, super eager to kind of have this
awesome interactive experience and just ready to have fun and have some laughs and, you know,
make some lighthearted connections. That's really all I'm looking for, right? Just seemingly being
excited to be there and ready to have a good night. Well, a good night will be had every single night.
I can promise you that. What's something unique that you will be bringing to the
stage with me because obviously all seven of you guys are so different. So what's something that's
just going to scream James? Yeah, I think, you know, even going back to Justin's response,
it was accurate, but in a sense, you know, I think dating back and going, looking at my time
in, you know, the Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, it took a little while for me to kind of
come out of my shell, put my walls down. Let's face it, it's just this crazy experience. You kind of
are guarded initially and, you know, I just want to be able to get on stage and kind of show
that that quirky side and fun side, which I think maybe some people haven't seen the full
extent of. So just going up there, having fun, being myself. And I see, I see my man Connor just
joined us. I was going to say, speaking of quirky fun, look who we have. Conner, it's me.
James, how are you, buddy? Hi, Becca. How are you guys? We're great. How are you? I'm doing great.
I'm so excited to see you. Well, on Zoom.
But, well, we'll be together very, very soon.
I love having the both of you because you guys were not only together on Katie season,
but you were together for a little bit on Paradise.
What?
And I'm sure you guys will both be together at some point,
whether it's a guest appearance or whatnot on tour.
So what are you guys both excited about like for the other person on stage?
So, Connor, I'd like to go first if that's okay.
I see that guitar in the background and I've already messaged Connor about this.
I told him you better bring that.
ukulele, I want to see solos bust it out numerous times every night, serenating the crowd.
He's a true performer.
So that's what I'm looking forward to most for Connor.
And I can't wait to see James' dance moves while I'm doing the yuk.
He might be in a box.
Yeah, you missed it, Connor.
I have a feeling that I'm going to be coming out of a box.
James, what if they put you in a box the entire show?
What if they don't let you out and you're in for two hours?
I would be so pissed because I need you guys
to help me with shit throughout the night.
I'm pulling him out of that box.
You got the show solo.
James,
remember when I fed you a chicken nugget through the hole in the box?
That was you, huh?
This is where the French had blossomed.
Yeah, someone brought me a whiskey, which I appreciated.
So, you know, it was.
My guy was starving to death in there.
We had to keep him alive.
Well, look at him.
He's going from a box to a tour bus.
It's going to be.
That's the glow.
Right, Becca?
True glow-up.
James, I'm going to kick you up, but it has been so fun.
I can't wait to see you soon.
Yeah, you too.
See you guys.
All right.
Take care.
Bye.
Good to see you, James.
Bye, bud.
Connor, back at it.
How the hell are you?
I'm great.
How the hell are you doing?
I'm good.
I'm going to say, I said this last time we had had you on happy hour, I'm bummed.
You didn't show up in the damn cat costume.
I really.
I should have, but maybe I will
on the tour of us. We'll see what happens. I actually, I
sleep in it every night, so. If you
don't bring the cat costume,
I'm not going to allow you up on stage.
Okay. Well, that's settled.
Well, maybe I'll get a costume too, and then we can just like
walk around the towns during the day on our free
hours and just have some fun.
Hear me out. What if we both had cat onesies?
I'm done with it. I'll have to get one. So I will work
on that now in these weeks to come.
In the meantime, give us the lowdown
of your dates and cities that you'll be
with me at. Absolutely. So I am April 12th through 16th. I'm in Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee,
so I'm Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 12th. The 13th is St. Petersburg, Florida. 14th is Pensacola,
Florida. 15th is Birmingham, Alabama. And then the last one is the 16th, and that's Knoxville,
Tennessee. So Tennessee is my home state, pretty close to Nashville. Oh, good. It's going to be such a
blast. Well, hopefully for that when you have all of your friends and family come out, I have to ask,
Besides the cat costume, what will you for sure be bringing with you?
Well, I mean, it's an easy answer.
It's got to be the ukulele.
The ukulele was there for me on Katie's season.
It was there for me in paradise.
Somehow it hasn't broken yet, even though I don't have a case for it.
I've got just this little ukulele that I just carry with me or shove in my backpack.
Somehow it hasn't broken yet.
So I have a good feeling that it'll lash through the entire tour.
I hope to see the ukulele.
If you need me to get you a case, I will because.
that baby cannot be broken.
So one thing throughout the show every night is like there's so much happening.
We have dancing, we have group dates, we have some singing, and that's something that
I'm sure you're excited about.
But overall, like, what are you most looking forward to on tour?
Well, I've just heard from everybody that it's incredible, like that it's just an incredible
night.
Everyone has an absolute blast.
So I'm really excited to meet a bunch of new faces.
I'm excited to see you.
and then I'm excited to get the crowd singing.
You know I'm going to get up there,
bust out a couple of crowd favorite songs
and get the crowd singing along with me.
So I'm just,
I'm most excited to meet all the new people, you know.
It's going to be such a blast.
And I've said this before.
Like, there's nothing like the infectious energy of Bachelor Nation.
It's like, you know, obviously you were on the show
and you are on Paradise,
but you're still so far removed from the people who watch the show.
So this is going to be the first time that they're like screaming at you,
cheering at you, you might even get booed sometimes if you sent one of the wrong girls.
Yes, like they feel like this is the first time where they actually have a say of who the last
rose can be given to, right? Like usually you're watching through a screen and people are throwing
stuff at the screen and and screaming, but like they're actually going to be able to kind of help
guide you. So how are you going to deal with that? Because this isn't your first time in front of
the audience, but do you think you're really going to play off their wants and desires throughout
tonight? I mean, that's a great point. I hadn't thought about that. The crowd is going to be
able to help me choose and interact with the girls. I mean, I think I have to follow my heart.
That's what I'm going to say. But I also, the crowd might see things that I don't. Like, that's
the thing when you watch back, The Bachelor and Bachelorette. We get to see things that the Bachelor
doesn't, that the Bachelorette doesn't. So I hope if there's some drama going on, you know,
the girls will fill me in or the crowd will fill me in. And I will, it's going to be hard to, you know,
figure out following my heart, but also
listening to that crowd input. We'll see what happens.
So how do you feel? Because when
you were on Katie's season,
well, I will say more so for her mental
all, you had a wild moment.
One of those girls came up from the audience.
You shared a special kiss
on stage, you know,
not to say that that could or could
not happen again, but would you be open
to that? You know what?
I'm going to go with the flow and see
what happens. I'm not going to say yes or no.
If the moment's right, we're feeling it. Who knows?
Okay. So besides your infectious energy and songs and the ukulele, what is something else unique that you'll be bringing to the stage with us?
Well, I don't know if people are going to be as excited about this, but you know I'm great with the puns.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. They would be excited.
If you give me a microphone and half a second to myself, I'm going to be making the dumbest jokes you've ever heard.
We need like a crowd groan button or something like that.
Everyone's just like, ugh.
You'll just get that normally.
Perfect.
You can make the want-want-want noise.
Oh, okay, I will.
I'm holding you to that.
Yeah, you'll make it.
Or I'll make a joke and no one will laugh at all.
I will.
I hope you're prepared for that.
I will.
I got your back, Connor.
I got your back.
I'm holding you to that.
Thank you.
What is a bit of advice that you can give to the contestants?
Because you've been on both ends.
You were on KD's season, getting the roses,
and then on Paradise for a while giving them.
So what's something that you can do to help kind of coach
or navigate these women who are on stage with us?
Absolutely.
This is the same advice I've really given anybody
who was like thinking about going on the show
or about to be on the show or just the only thing you can do
is be yourself and be genuine.
That's like literally the number one thing
when I was going into the show.
I was like, this is going to be a strange situation
that I've never been in.
The only thing I can do is be myself
and be genuine to who I am.
And in that sense, it's not a competition
because everyone is their own stuff.
It's not like, oh, I'm better than this person or worse than this person or anything like that.
It's just I was myself.
And if the connection is there, then that's magical and the connection is there.
So my advice to anyone coming on with to just be yourself, let your true colors shine.
Don't be what you think I want you to be or what anyone else wants you to be, be who you are.
And just have fun.
Go with the flow.
What's something that one of the women, either on stage or as we're pulling from the crowd for the contestants,
come up on stage with us, what is something that they would do to catch your eye?
If a girl started singing and busted out a tune or a ukulele or an instrument, I have always
been partial to singers. I will say that.
We might just have a wedding straight up right away on stage. Who knows?
Should we? Let's do it. Hey, I think, I think the Bachelor franchise would not be upset about it.
Right. Stranger things have happened. Truly. Truly. Are you excited to be
living on a tour bus or does it make you nervous at all yeah i was going to ask you about that are we
sleeping on the tour bus we sleep on the tour bus we have different you and i have different tour buses
because i don't want people to get confused yes so basically we don't get to share a tour bus
what the hell i thought we got to share a tour bus you're actually connor this is my chance to tell you
you're actually driving the tour bus for us great perfect i have my commercial driver's license
wonderful you are up to date on everything um oh my god it's going to
be a wild ride speaking of wild we have a one last guy joining us and it's andrew there he is
andrew hold on sorry there you go why you sideways i know yeah are we good i think you good all right
i got andrew what's up what's going on we have so many guys from katie's season on this tour it's so
exciting no that's good i mean i think uh we had a good group of guys during the show so in
Obviously, we're all close, so it makes sense.
Well, so Connor and I were talking a little bit about just, like, navigating these women and just, you know, going with the wild ride that every show will bring.
Connor has a bit more experience because he was on Paradise with me.
He not only got the roses, but was giving them out.
So, Connor, what's some advice that you can give for Andrew when he's on stage?
Oh, damn.
Andrew's going to crush it.
He's a natural, born performer.
I would love it if we hear you sing on the show.
on the stage. If you could bust
out a couple songs and dance moves. Not right now.
On stage. That would be my wish for you.
Yeah. Yeah, I can't
sing, but I can definitely dance
or lip sync. One of those.
We will be doing all of the above.
Oh, I can do that.
And Andrew,
you're in St. Louis, right? March 19th. That's your show.
I am. Yeah.
Do you want to come to that one, Connor?
Because I grew up in St. Louis. So I'm coming
and my family's coming.
I'll be in the crowd
and I'll pop up on stage at some point
Yeah, we will definitely still have
guest appearances for sure
So I mean, you guys are all welcome at any show
Definitely
Connor, it has been a blast
Make sure you get your ukulele ready
Get that cat costume ready
I'm gonna send you idea of cat costumes
That I'm getting and in the meantime
We're gonna have a good damn time
Go get that beauty sleep till you hit the bus
You're right, we're going straight to bed
Can't wait
All right, great to see you soon
Bye Connor
Great to see, Andrew. Bye you guys.
Yeah.
Andrew.
Catch me up.
It's been a while since we've had you on Bachelor Happy Hour.
Before we get into all things tour, how are you?
I'm good.
You know, everything's going really well for me right now.
I'm with my grandma and my family.
So that's like the best part of the year where I get to hang out with them
and I'm not like doing too much.
So it's good.
The call before the storm because it's going to get wild very fast when you join me
on stage to kick it off before we get into all of the questions about the tour.
Can you give all of our listeners the rundown of the cities and dates that you'll be with me?
Yeah, on March 16th, I'll be in Peoria.
Then the following day after that, I'll be in Columbus, Ohio, and then we have Indianapolis,
and then we have St. Louis and finishing it off in Kansas City.
So that's great run.
So we're starting the entire tour with you, no pressure at all.
What are you most looking forward to and then also most nervous?
forward? I'm just looking forward to, you know, just being able to connect with the people,
the fans. Just show them exactly who I am up in person. Whatever you get on social media,
I like to keep it the same as who I am in person. So just keep that same energy that I usually
bring and I give it to a bunch of different people. Most nervous for is, you know, just
probably just chatting to the ladies or people have to bring up on stage. I'm just as nervous as
there'd probably be, I don't know, I feel like this is such a different avenue for me.
I'm usually playing football with sports with a helmet on so I can kind of hide.
There's no hiding now.
No, there's not.
So it'll be fun.
And I love doing different things in each other.
How do you think you're going to handle every night having 10 to 12 women throwing themselves at you?
Like you are going to be the bachelor every night.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's definitely different.
But I'm going to try to, you know, be as humble as possible about it.
I'll probably throw a couple of jokes in my group chat talking about it saying I'm a man,
but I'm just going to try to stay and, you know, and just have fun with them and, you know,
give them the best time they possibly have.
Is there anything that is like off limits to you that you refuse to do on stage?
Everything's fair game.
I'm looking to just have a great time.
That's kind of who I am.
And I know that you are pretty funny.
so I'm just whatever you got for me
just throw it out there I'm ready for it.
It's going to be so fun.
And I think the difference between this time around
and the last time that we were on tour
is like, we had local bachelors for each city.
So every girl got up on stage like thinking,
you know, they could be the one and date this guy.
But for you, it's kind of nice because the pressure's off.
Like, of course you're going to be the bachelor
and be handing out the roses.
But like there's no pressure at the end of it.
You get to go on your merry way,
whoever you pick and give that last.
roast who gets a great package for the city to enjoy um that being said though would you be open
if you did find one special woman on one of those stages in one of those cities to potentially
continuing a relationship with them um if it was in my city um like my actual city like Chicago um
I don't have I think that's the following week after mine I'm not a big long distance guy
yeah don't like it um so if I mean if there's someone I do hit it
off with. I mean, maybe we'll chat, but other than that, like, um, pretty much coming in
this very cordial, uh, not looking for anything really crazy. Yeah, no pressure. Like I said,
it's just going to be an item of fun of probably a little bit of drama. We've seen tears. We've
seen laughs. We've seen kissing. We've seen tears. Oh, yeah, we've seen everything. We've seen
everything. It's, um, and that's a thing, like, especially for the contestants, like,
everything is so heightened, you know? It's like, this is the first time they feel like they're
part of bachelor nation and at times it can be scary to be up on stage and that's why we just have to
go in with such an open mind and make the women on stage with us feel comfortable so if there's
any bit of advice that you can give to these ladies who are joining us what would it be
i would just want encourage them to just be themselves and be able to have fun with it um you know
not every day you get to you know go on dates and it's not like serious crit crazy question being
thrown at you um but also like being on stage and watch everyone listen in
your date. So at the same time, like, you just enjoy the process and enjoy, you know,
just being yourself with someone else and, you know, around good company.
So I'm assuming you probably know how each night goes, right? Like there's the group dates,
there's the rose. I have no idea what's going on. Oh my God. I'm going to have to really
prep you before this. But I'm so scared. I have no idea. Don't be scared. Don't be scared.
It's so fun. Basically, it's like a condensed season.
of the Bachelor and Bachelorette on stage.
So to start it off, we'll pull the women up on stage with us.
They'll do their fun, unique limo entrances.
Then you go straight into giving out your first impression rows.
We go into more fun group dates.
And in between each of the group dates,
we'll have mini row ceremonies where you'll go from 10 to 12 women to 8,
down to 6, down to 4.
Then we make a mini hometowns where that's kind of the cool part
is like then it kind of mellows where you can actually
ask some questions to get to know them a little bit deeper, but we've even recreated a little
fantasy suite action, if you will. And like I said, we've seen everything. My mom's going to be
in the crowd. I mean, listen, it's a family-friendly show. So, like, we keep it PG. That's not to say
we haven't seen some steamy makeouts in the cabana fantasy suite that we make. But, but, like,
how open are you to like maybe giving these women some kisses or some special attention?
We will have to see.
I mean, I'm pretty open.
Like I said, I'm still single.
So it's not like a red flag for me.
But we'll see.
I, you know, if you get a kiss, it's probably like, you know, you earned it.
It's not like something I'm just going to be giving out for sure.
We have a whole bit where it's like this lip sync competition where you and I kind of
you kick it off and like show them how it's done but then you'll probably be put on a chair or a stool
and the other women then will have to go and lip sync and dance around you and and oh i like this
this is great thing it's so fun it's probably like one of my favorite parts of the night because
the girls go all out with their dance moves which is like hyping up you and the audience it's
it's going to be a blast um overall
though, you know, it can be anything from going to new cities to sleeping on a tour bus to just
meeting people. What are you most, most, most number one excited about?
Just to seeing like the fans, just to see like how, you know, passionate they are.
And you always see like the tweets and all the videos you have about yourself.
But just to see them up in close in person and be able to interact with them.
I think that's going to be like I love meeting the new people that come up to me that
recognize me. I think that's awesome.
The fact that they know me and they recognize me and they want to say hi.
So the fact that they come out to the show and they want to see us, you know, I think that is incredible.
So I want to give them as much attention and glory as possible because that's what makes us, you know, whatever, do what we do.
Right.
Because of them.
So, yeah, I'm looking forward to just to, you know, interact with them.
I love it.
It's going to be a blast.
It's so much fun.
One last question before I let you go.
The pressure is going to be on you every night, obviously, they hit at those roses.
So you have to know the magic words, right?
can you give it to me okay is this like a safe word no when you're handed out the rose what do you
have to say with the women oh my god would you accept this rose yes right yeah maybe see it with
more enthusiasm when you're on stage but you got it okay i got it i got it my love but would you
please accept this room oh so no you have to do it now every day with the accent you have to
oh okay Andrew I cannot wait to pick this
tour off with you. It is going to be an absolute blast. If you have any questions in the
meantime, feel free to reach out to me. I'm always here. But, oh my God, I can't wait. I can't wait.
We'll see you so, so soon. Bye, bye. Bye, Andrew. Oh, my gosh. That was, I feel like I say this each
and every week that these interviews just keep getting better and better and more exciting. But I
have to say that was one of my favorites. It was an absolute treat being able to talk to all seven
of our special guests and my soon-to-be co-hosts for Bachelor Live on stage.
I cannot wait.
Their excitement gets me hyped up.
And so I'm just so I'm going to say it.
I apologize in advance.
I'm just so ready to do the damn thing.
