Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of
plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans.
I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
You can have opinions.
You can have like a strong,
dance. And then there's your body having its own program.

What's up, guys? This is Clifford Taylor the Fourth. And on my podcast, The Cliverts
Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet
famous referee. We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to
me, he goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What?
Quarterback on office blue with 42
Hey, Rhett, my mama want you to weigh better.
What?
Shit.
Hey, Miss Parker.

This is Saigon, the story of my family and of the country that shaped us.
From IHeart Podcast, Saigon.
You don't think I'm serious about a free Vietnam?
One city, a divided country, and the war that tore America apart.
This is for Vietnam.
They're pouring patriots all over here.
Freedom for Vietnam!
There's a fire coming to this country, and it's going to burn out everything.

Hello and welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour.
I'm Rachel.
And I'm Charity.
And today we have two very special.
special guys from Bachelor Nation who you guys know very, very well.
But hey, we also had a little run on Vanderpump Villa.
Everybody welcome, Mercedes and Jess.
Hi, guys.
Hi.
Everyone sounds immaculate today because we are coming fresh off of stagecoach,
which we are going to get into because I wasn't there and I need to know everything.
Right.
So take it away.
Who wants to get started?
The stage coach is so fun.
I feel like I'm hanging on by thread.
We did stage coach and Coachella, so that was a lot.
But it was fun.
It was really fun.
Yeah, I was in, it was so fun.
I was in California for three weeks.
So I like, I literally just, I took a red eye, my first red eye last night.
I'll never do that again because I got home and I like literally passed out.
But yeah, it was fun.
Stage coach was amazing.
I feel like all, like there's so many bachelor people.
people there that we got to run into and see everyone.
So it was super fun.
Minus the windstorm.
That was crazy.
Insane.
I love us keeping this like PG and like really cute.
But like what happened at stagecoach?
Like what's the drama?
Who do we need?
I'm going to need a little bit.
We didn't do like anything exciting.
Like I feel like we just kept to ourselves.
Right?
You weren't at this party where charity got kicked in the head?
No.
Where were you guys in the windstorm?
I literally told, I called Jess.
I was like, get your butt over here.
I was on a, after the, when the windstorm happened, I found myself on a random bus with
random influencers. I was terrified out of my mind. And then went to a random party that felt like
Justin Bieber's house. And then I walked home. Sick. So what did you meet at the party? Like just
a lot of like love island people and just like random TikTokers. I love a love island person.
Truly. Yeah. Did you guys meet?
Any of Taylor, Frankie Paul's guys, we were talking about them earlier.
Yeah, I met, oh gosh, I figured his name.
He's, like, the shorter guy.
He lives in Nashville.
Clayton.
Yes.
Please, I know.
I'm like hearing that one.
I thought they already knew each other.
Was that y'all's first time meeting Mercedes?
Yeah, I think I asked you.
Yeah, it was.
Okay, yeah, because they're both in Nashville.
And isn't Casey?
Yeah, Casey, too.
Did you meet Casey?
Uh-uh.
I literally only met Clay.
Oh, wow.
I don't know which one I met.
I'm assuming it's the same.
one is Mercedes. Yeah, I really wanted. I wanted just to meet Casey too. I mean, there's two guys
living in Nashville. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about anything. We have plans.
We have plans that we cannot discuss yet. Correct. Just know they're there. Okay, don't worry.
Okay, let's get into what we are here for truly. Okay, I'm so excited because I watched Vanderpunt
Villa as a fan because I was so excited to see you guys. I didn't know I had to watch it from the
beginning of the season all the way till you guys got there at the end me either there was so much
happening but i want to talk about you guys arriving what was that like pulling up to this huge villa
was it like the mansion what was it like yeah i mean we came in on these like little cars i honestly
didn't know what to expect i feel like i went in and like i had no idea what's happening i feel
like that's like a common thing with me like i just like i was just like all right we're gonna we're going to
London and we're filming this show that I've never watched.
Like, I don't know anyone on there.
So when we, like, first off, we had an amazing group.
Like, every, like, the group that Charity and Don put together, it was like, it was so good.
And we all got along super well.
But, yeah, the house is beautiful.
We got to meet so many people.
And, you know, Jess, if you want to take it away, I feel like you got more to talk about.
Certainly do.
No, please.
No, I mean, it was, like, really cool.
again, like none of us watched the show.
I think I, before I went on, I watched like a little bit of the Mormon wives episode just to like get an idea of like what really this is.
So I went into it like, like you guys know how I am with like reality TV.
Like I'm always so scared, right?
But when I watched a little bit of the Mormon wives, like they don't really like they didn't really air a lot of like the guests.
So I kind of went into it like, okay, like we're just going to have fun.
Like it's like a free trip with our friends.
And we're not going to be aired at all.
Like it's fine.
And so that's how, that was my perspective going into it.
I want to give context because I think it's very important.
So obviously, like, Doughton and I are not single, but everybody else there was.
So I think that was like a really big incentive for them, but also the Vanderpump Villa cast.
So I don't know if they knew that, but I was like, yeah, like the single, my single crew is coming.
So that was like, you know, we were as much as I could orchestrate.
I really was hopeful that there was going to be a time had.
And indeed there was.
I, as a viewer, thought it was amazing because when I was watching all the other shows come in,
there is just a vibe and something about Bachelor Nation.
First of all, everyone looked beautiful.
It was like the hottest people came into the villa.
Immediately when you're walking in, there are, you know, all these staff members.
Yeah.
Who were you guys clicking with, like, as you got out of the car before we really really?
got into the drinks and the mingling.
Yeah.
Question mark.
Jessica.
I don't know.
Well, I just remember, like, when the car was pulling up,
Mercedes was sitting next to me, and she, like, pointed out the window.
And she pointed to Nick, and she was, like, just, like, I feel like that guy is going
to, like, F you up.
And I was like, oh, my God, he's so cute.
No, I was like, I was like, that guy looks like he could ruin your life.
Yeah.
Out of everyone, I think that's the one.
you might have.
Yeah, like we kind of clocked it from a mile away.
So like, but the way that I work is like I instantly was like, okay, well, I'm not going
to talk to him.
So like I was scared.
And so when we went inside, it was really nice, like meeting everyone was so nice coming
up to us.
But I believe Nick, like, came to me and like introduced himself to me.
And so that's kind of how it all started.
But everyone was really nice.
Like the cast was super great.
I feel like they kept saying how we were their favorite group.
I don't, I mean, I'm going to speak to them, but like they did.
I watched it back.
You guys were respectful.
You were hot.
You were a good time.
Yeah.
I mean, it's truly the trifecta.
That's a good combination.
And the other guests, I mean, I don't know how much you guys watched.
It was kind of horrific to watch some of the other guests.
No, that's, and that's also what we were told.
So I'm sure you guys were a welcome surprise.
Mercedes, were you clicking with anyone, like right off the bat?
No, not off right off the bat.
You were hanging back?
I was.
I was like very chill going into it.
But yeah, no, no one sparked my interest, like right off the bat.
But then I had like a, it wasn't like a thing, but the hot tub night, you know, everyone was having drinks.
Yeah.
We will get into the hot tub night.
Yeah.
That's where things got carried away.
I have to ask, because obviously there were other single women there were Maria, Maria,
And Ariel, were they hitting it off with people right away?
Or was that more later?
I feel like naturally, like, they are just like naturally flirtatious people.
But like not, like that's just their personalities, but not like, I don't think intentionally of like, oh my God.
Like they like were locked in on anybody.
I don't feel like that was.
I would agree with that.
What about the guys?
Like the Sean and them?
Yeah.
Oh, you know, ready to go.
They were on a mission.
Hello.
All three of them?
I mean, well, honestly, I will say Xavier was on his best behavior, which I was like.
Yeah, Xavier kept himself.
I wish you acted like this in last season.
And John B, I didn't expect that from him.
Neither did I.
So I was a nice church boy.
No, I knew Sean was going to deliver.
Like that's why Sean was there.
Correct.
But like Xavier, we were like, me and Dot and truly plotting, we were like, oh, he's about to like, let's, we need, we need him in here.
And then John B, I was like, where is this coming from?
Like, completely opposite of what he was preaching online.
But anyway.
We'll get there.
We'll get there.
Okay.
Night one.
Drinks are flowing.
Things are happening.
Walk me through Jess, night one with London Boy.
London Boy.
So, guys, like, the thing is, like, my memory, like, we...
Don't give me this memory.
No, I'm like, and don't worry.
That's why I'm here.
Well, there was no drinking limit, which normally that's not an issue for me because I don't drink.
But for some reason, in the UK, I decided to have fun.
So night one
I just remembered like
Nick and I was just like when Nick and I were just like flirting the most
I think he ended up like randomly kissing me
like a crowd of like everyone like in the room with everyone
And it was just like it threw me off
Because I wasn't mentally prepared
And then it kind of just like
But you liked you right? Of course no yes I did like it
Yes
What about you night one? I didn't see enough of you
on camera.
Mercedes was there for a good time, not a long time.
I was.
Were you smooching?
I think I saw glimpses of you here and there.
Yeah, no, I didn't kiss night one.
I was definitely like the vibe.
Like, I was making everyone drink,
making sure that the drink limit was, you know, not a thing.
Was not being important.
Like literally my other wing woman.
I'm like, let's help facilitate.
Okay, I have a question.
So, Sean, I was at night one, went to Hannah.
and was kind of hitting it off with her.
Yes.
Did you guys see any of the Hannah and Marciano drama happening?
Which is crazy because I'm like, us watching it back, we were like, oh my God.
We had no idea.
I had no.
Me and Mercedes were watching it and we were like, when did this all happen?
There was like one moment where Nick and I were in the bar by ourselves talking.
And then like Hannah came in and was like having an argument with someone and it was like a whole thing.
but like that they didn't even air that part.
So like that was the only time I saw that there was some kind of tension.
But I thought maybe it was just like in that one night and it like got brushed over.
But they never talked to us about any drama that was happening ever.
So you guys didn't see any of the behind the scenes drama.
No.
No.
Not like not how it was aired.
Like kind of like going off what just said.
Like there was moments where you could just be like, okay, something like awkward might be happening.
But like we never thought it would be magnified to like how it was on TV.
We were like way out.
I think there's like a rule that you can't argue.
in front of the guests.
Like, at the end of the whole thing,
we, like, score who, like, perform the best as, like,
as, like, in the hospitality world, like, as a cast member.
So they're trying to win the end of it.
So they're trying to work on their best behavior.
So, like, they weren't acting up around us.
Yeah, they're going to present their best versions of themselves to us.

This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me.
He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her.

What?

So in your guys' experience in the villa, did it seem like the staff was there to interact with you?
Or were they more like behind the scenes?
It definitely was like both.
I feel like it's like a blend of like below the deck and then how Vanderpump rules is.
Like they definitely wanted us to flirt.
They wanted some little love triangles things happening, but also it's like you are there to work.
So like do your job.
And they actually have to do the job.
It's not just for TV.
Oh, no.
They are putting on.
No, they're like we had rooms.
We had room service every day, like every morning.
Like they were folding our towels, like tidying up our room.
They were actually working.
And then I would say like every day at like 10 p.m. they were done.
And then they would hang out with us.
we actually ended up like
I forget who we said
was it Sage that we like
said could have used improvement and that was only
only because we didn't see her like
as much as we saw everyone else right there was like less
interaction which obviously watching it back
was like already fighting with Tyler
yeah fighting with Tyler was a sore spot for her
coming off the previous guess I guess like
the same kind of situation happened where she wasn't
as like inserting herself in
or amongst the guest,
so she was like, I need to do better,
but then the whole Tyler thing happened on our time there.
So, yeah.
Yeah.
Poor girl, but.
So before we move on to day two,
because that is where I really want to talk about,
but was there anything happening that maybe we didn't see?
Like, were people hooking up,
where there are, like, storylines that were missed?
Night one.
I can't think of anything.
Yeah, I don't think so.
I feel like you saw everything from night one.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
So Night one just respectfully gets walked back to her room.
Yes, she does.
Yes.
And then after we see London Boy hooking up with Alyssa immediately after.
Which blew my mind.
Blue my mind.
Was there any indication that that was going on?
No.
No.
Which no one knows.
Do you want to talk about or you want me to start off?
Oh.
Because I got lots to say.
So I'm pretty to start off.
You can start off all the other.
Okay.
I think that's insane.
I'm so sorry.
It's insane for Nick.
It's insane for Alyssa.
So sorry.
I'm like in what world?
And I guess like I don't know if that's a part of like the show where it's like,
okay, keep the inside house drama away from the guest, but I'm like, that's not even drama.
It's like, you guys are both actively, which by all means, not shaming anyone, do whatever you need
to do.
But we're not, I'm not in the ministry of double timing.
You know what I mean?
Especially on Nick's behalf, like him walking just to her, I almost said Alyssa, insane,
walking just to her room and then we see the camera go, I'm like this, I'm like, sorry,
I hit the mic again.
I'm very passionate.
But I was just like, we didn't know.
Like, we literally didn't know.
So the whole time, I'm like, oh, my God.
Like, I'm so supportive of like this little, you know, thing with Jess and Nick.
And, like, obviously, Mercedes 2, we're just like, yeah, this is cute.
Like, okay, like, you know, take it away.
But I'm like, watching it back, I literally, I literally texted her.
I said, I want to start a justice for Jess campaign because that's what you will never do to my girl.
And you know what I mean?
There are some producer crossovers happening from that show to our show.
I would think that maybe a little bit behind the scenes,
they'd be like, hey, just so you know.
You would think.
You would think.
They are making a TV show.
I need Jess to insert.
Go ahead, Jess, please.
Well, I think, well, the thing about London boy,
I don't want to say his name, honestly.
That's all right, we don't say his name.
Yeah, we don't say his name.
The thing about London boy is he's such a good charmer.
He's a really great guy, like, honestly, like, whatever.
But he's a really good charmer.
So the whole time he was really doing his best charming me,
and I really did believe, like, everything he was saying.
And then you see it sometimes in his, like, his, like, ITM is where he's, like, saying, like,
I have him wrapped around his, or wait, I have him wrapped around his finger.
He has you wrapped around his finger?
Or he has me wrapped around his finger.
Scary.
Or whatever this.
I don't know.
What way?
Whatever.
No, he said that you, like, you were the one in control.
Like, yeah.
So you have him wrapped around.
He made me feel, yeah, like, I, like, he was, like, actively pursuing me.
And so the way that I work in any type of, like, pursuement or some type of, like,
forming a flirtatious bond with someone
like saw him in a relationship.
But like I would never,
if I had known that night he went to bed with Alyssa,
the rest of my time would have been so different.
I didn't know that at all the whole time.
He took a couple weeks after the show
to like even let me know about things.
Like I did actually even know about him sleeping with her
in that time until he got to watch the preview of the show.
Which is crazy because I don't get it.
My point.
He lived the experience.
He knows.
Like, that's crazy.
He thought it wouldn't air.
I don't know what he thought.
I think he just was pushing off telling me, which is weird because I, like, him and I,
I mean, he was a different country.
So him and I have been friends since the show ended.
And, like, there's no sort of, like, like, it's more of a friendship, if anything.
So I don't know why he wanted to just shared it.
I think I was more of, like, take it back that he didn't share it rather than just,
like, keeping it a secret until he had, like, the last minute.
I will say though, watching like the previous guests, like, because he was flirty and with other guests,
but there was something different about the way he acted with Jess and the way he spoke about Jess.
Right.
And I told Jess this.
I'm like, I'm watching the whole thing through and he really had respect for you, which is so surprising that he wouldn't ever talk about that.
And that's where I feel like it just got a little blurred because I'm like, oh, he already has maybe these established connections that he just like, I don't know if it's like guilt or whatever.
Like he just can't cut off.
but I'm just like, I wish that he just would have, like, done it.
You know what I mean?
For the sake of like, okay, if there's, if you genuinely like feel something,
which is what we all thought was what was going on, then just like, like,
it's okay.
Like, cut it off.
Like, what is there to lose, you know?
Yeah.
Well, there also, there was a part like, and it showed where I knew that him and
Alyssa had some sort of history.
And he did share that with me that they shared a kiss, I believe that's what it was.
But again, like with the way that he was pursuing me,
especially in front of her, and, like, her and John B were, like, having a thing.
Like, I really just thought that there was a separation.
I mean, I did consider Alyssa and Meredith, like, good friends in the show, too.
So I just don't think anyone really communicated with me the extent of what was going on because, I mean, I was texting Rachel and I was like, I looked so bad.
You did it.
You didn't.
You didn't.
I know.
I know.
But I was freaking out because I was like I'm, like, the other woman in this.
And that's just like the last thing I would ever like put like involve myself in.
So.
Okay.
Let's move on today too.
We will.
Merzage.
Where do you come in on this with the smooch?
It has to be more than the hot tub.
Yeah, there is some something.
Tell me what something happened.
Wait, wait, wait.
Can you remind me?
Oh, please.
No, actually, you mean at, not before the hot tub or was it after?
I thought it was before.
Or someone came in your room.
Oh, that was after.
Oh, yikes.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was like more.
That's all right.
The hot tub is where everything starts with me.
Okay, let's talk about the hot tub.
Yeah, well, we'll get there.
Why not?
When I heard Jess tell me about the hot tub, I said, no.
This isn't my baby Jess making out with two people at the same time.
It was actually so wild because Mercedes made out with two people at the same.
time. Yeah, Mercedes had the, Mercedes had the three-way kiss. Okay, I thought just, you were not in that.
You kissed Meredith?
No, I kissed Alyssa. Which is crazy.
Yeah, we'll explain that in a second, but Mercedes, you can continue. Yeah. No, that. Right?
I said, I'm, I know, watching that back, I'm like, dang, you, you knew what was going on and then, like, still, because it was a dare, right? No, hold on. Let me clarify really quick.
before Mercedes says that because
I think she got asked to dare
like she got dare to kiss someone
like kiss a girl and think she had a pick or something
like that really know I was like talking to Nick
like you can see I wasn't really paying attention
and all I remembered is like her saying me
and I just see Mercedes in the corner
being like she would never do that
and like mocking me and I go out
I was not mocking mocking is crazy
mocking is crazy I wasn't mocking you
but I was not mocked but you're like
I was like, Jess is not going to do that.
Like, she's not going to kiss a girl.
I was her girl and Sean that were, like, laughing.
But I think it's, well, but nonetheless, I still think it's crazy that she chose
this year.
Yes, that's what I was saying.
She knew I was off.
Well, in the moment, I didn't know.
Of all people.
Also, like, her and I weren't, like, like, I mean, yes, I didn't know about Nick,
but, like, her and I did get along really well.
No, and that's fair.
But I'm saying, you didn't have the information.
She had all information.
She had every, every ounce of it.
So it's, like, a little crazy.
Just a little bit.
That is insane.
So who else was making out in the hot tub?
What didn't we see?
Give me all the backstory of this besides what I saw.
So was it, Sean was with like, kind of with Meredith?
Yeah, in the hot tub.
I think up until that point, he was with Hannah.
And then I think in the hot tub, that's what it kind of switched over to Merritt.
Yes.
And then Charlie and Ariel were like in and out.
But they were like obviously paired up that night.
Okay.
Me and Dotten were in full.
mom and dad mode.
I felt like all my kids on vacation.
And then, yeah, Jess and Nick.
Xavier was kind of just hanging out in the corner.
That's what I'm saying.
This man was on his best behavior.
I was so irritated.
Who else am I missing?
Maria, was she paired with anyone?
Maria did not make the hot tub scene.
She wasn't in the hot tub?
She was not even present.
No, I think she was.
She never came in the hot tub.
She came for like two seconds.
And then she was like, I'm leaving.
Yeah.
She had like her clothes on.
She didn't even put like a suit on.
She just came and said hi and then left.
Yeah.
Okay.
Mercedes.
Yeah.
All right.
Okay.
So this is where I was at, okay?
Again, no drink limit.
So like, we're all like, you know, feeling good, whatever.
You guys are on vacation.
Hello.
No, truly.
Like, it was a full.
It was a full vacation.
So anyways, I'm like in the corner of the hot tub because I'm like not really connected
with anyone, whatever.
and I'm like looking around and everyone is booed up
and I'm like well what the heck
I need to be boot up and the only one left was Marciano
so I'm like well I guess we're locked in tonight
what?
Which is insane to me
because I was like Mercedes usually has
Marciano?
She has free will but she also has self-control
like Sam was trying to pursue Maria as well
so like that's like that is also
like Marciano was really the only like
only available guy, but like he also was actively,
he locked eyes on Mercedes from the start.
But I think Mercedes was just obviously a little hesitant at first.
Yeah.
And like, at that point, it was like, well, my shoes are all bets are off.
So explain what happened.
Um, I don't even know.
Okay, so we were on the hot tub and then we were playing truth or dare.
And I feel like that's when everything got like crazy.
It's when we started playing that game.
But I think someone asked me, they were like,
Like, okay, like if you had to make out with anyone in here, who would you choose?
And obviously, I'm not going to say, like, everyone was taken.
You know what I'm saying?
So I was like, Marziano.
It's giving paradise all over again.
Literally.
Everyone's taken.
Like, no one's taken.
Literally.
So, yeah, then we, yeah, just had the rest of the night.
And we were just like together.
Not, it wasn't like, I would say we were locked in on each other.
Like, like, for me personally, it was just like fun.
Yeah.
because everyone else was, like, having fun, you know?
And he showed up at the room for room service.
He was very, like, pretty adamant about, like, trying to, like,
you know, make, you know, make something happen with Mercedes.
For sure.
I know, but then watching it, I know.
But then watching it back, like, all the drama with him and Hannah, I'm like, oh, my gosh.
Like, I don't know, it was all insane.
Yeah.
I think that's, like, a trauma bond of sorts.
We're not seeing the full picture.
We're definitely not.
And I think there's more, like, emotional than it is, like, a relationship looking back.
For sure.

So that night, what else happened?
Um
Was that John B had a nice
night?
No,
Hotto was not the last night.
No.
Yeah,
John B and Alyssa.
I don't really,
I feel like,
did they like
stay till the end?
Because I'm like,
they started off what I felt like
was like,
oh.
They slept together.
Did I miss that?
Yeah.
They hooked up.
They had a sleepover.
I don't know what they did.
Mercy.
I thought she said something.
He denied,
like,
and anything happens,
but I don't know.
Yeah.
Okay.
There's also, yeah.
I mean, they showed.
I'm just saying as a viewer,
they were in the,
I saw the lights go off.
Listen.
Full fantasy sweet effects.
Leave it up for interpretation.
Okay.
Well, yeah.
I feel like they started off what outside looking in,
started off really strong.
Then by the end I was like,
I don't know if he like really likes her or unless they had like a conversation maybe
about like just where they stand.
But yeah,
I think he just was like,
it was a moment for him.
I think that's where his head was at, truly.
Okay.
Because I'm like, I feel like,
as much as at least how he is vocal about like what he's looking for like i was like i don't know
if that's not in a bad way like nothing's wrong with her but i'm like i don't know if that's what
how he describes like what he's looking for in a girl like that that was it right you know what i
think i also asked him i'm like what how do you feel and he's like i mean we live in different
cities so i think he was like also just like it was you know for the plot basically you know
okay what do we need to touch on the next day um i'm trying to think um
I thought there's only two nights.
No, there was three.
Okay.
I think, yeah.
We had the little, oh my God, can we talk about it?
The Bridgeton party?
Oh, so cute.
It was literally like, I cried the whole night.
Wait, so you guys were there at the same time as the really handsome chef that they brought on?
I forget.
Or was he like a baker?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Sondro.
Sandro.
Yeah.
And no one paired up with him?
Um, no.
So, Sandro, he was on the, is it the greatest, the, the, the,
greatest baker whatever i don't watch those
it's like an insane baking competition
he's amazing and so he did doten's birthday cake and like all these
little fun little pastries were so good they were so good they were so good and
there was one that was like it was like almost like i don't know if it was like espresso
it was like boozy but i'm like i took one by it and i was like oh my gosh how was the bridgeton
party oh it was beautiful except at the beginning i'm like this didn't make air but there's a
part can we talk about it yeah yeah okay surely there's a part
So I don't know if you remember when we were all walking out.
It was like the close-up shots of us, like, seeing the reveal.
So you see all of our reactions.
We're like, oh, my God.
But it was, like, very extreme because...
The reactions were, like, scary.
There's, like, little shooters, like fire things that were going up.
But it ended up catching the pot on fire.
The flowers on fire.
So it was, like, this big thing.
And so that's what our reactions were to.
We were like...
There was fire happening.
And they used your reaction, like, you were reacting to the kids.
To the cage, you have to do yours.
Because Mercedes was so funny.
I was like, no.
My mouth, my jaw was on the floor because it was like flames.
And I was like, oh my gosh, we need to evacuate.
No, it was insane.
So like watching it back, like literally seeing all of our faces, we were like, oh, that's when that happened.
Oh.
There was no way out.
I mean, keep in mind the party, like they did a spectacular job.
It was so beautiful.
But like our reactions in that moment was so extreme.
See, I would never know because on The Bachelor, we could walk into a room and we act like,
it's the first time we've ever seen a room.
No.
So I, you know, the reactions are always over the time.
I will say, like, on an event side, like, they really did, like, for every single dinner and, like,
night.
They went up love and beyond.
It was, like, stunning.
I was like, oh, so can you guys do my wedding?
No, literally.
Yeah.
I'm like, I need to hire.
Is it Gabby?
She was, like, the events.
One of the events.
I'm like, I need to hire.
Yes.
Oh, my gosh.
Okay.
So let's, before we play a little game.
Okay.
Yeah, we are playing a little gaming game.
Well, we have to talk about the running and the kissing.
The most bachelor thing that ever happened on another show.
Okay, yeah.
Talk to me about how that came to be.
Well, I mean, I think Nick and I, like, we had such a good friendship.
So, and a good bond throughout the whole time.
So I just feel like it was, like, really sad.
Like, we had breakfast, and then it literally was, like, you left right away.
Like, the goodbyes outside, that's how quick they were.
Yeah.
So I just wanted to have, like, a little bit more time with him just because it's, like,
they had two more weeks of filming, no phones.
I wasn't going to, like, hear from him.
And we did a really good time together.
So, yeah, it was definitely, like my, no one knew that it was happening.
I don't think Charity knew, like, no one knew besides Mercedes.
Because I told her, like, right when we were walking in the car that I wanted to say bye to him.
And, yeah, it was, like, really sweet.
I, like, blocked out.
I didn't even see Charlie running to kiss Ariel, nor did Ariel know that that was happening.
But I thought it was really sweet.
And I just remember thinking, like, it was, like, one of the most, like, romantic things
ever just because it was like so like I mean it felt very bachelor you know it was like a bachelor moment
I never really was it was cute it was cute I thought it was so romantic it was yeah it was super
charlie running it was giving bachelor no I was like I was gagged when she told me I was like and I missed
the notebook really yeah and then when he when he closed the door he like looked at all of us and he's like
take care of my brides that's what he said so I'm like actually guy about cool the thing is you can't say that
to Bachelor contestants.
You can't say I'm taking you home to meet your mom because we're going to go home to meet your mom.
And I'm like, especially like, I'm like, you got to know that that would like, that would work so
well for her.
I'm like, oh.
He's like, I'm coming to me, Elvis.
She goes, all right, so we're married.
Like, you can't bring those things up.
Elvis.
Elvis.
Okay, sorry.
Yeah.
Okay.
So we're going to play a game where you guys have to tell us whether it's love bombing or actual
love, which I feel like, I'm pretty good at this.
So I'm going to like.
I'm not.
So I'm very interested.
Me and Jess are on the same page.
I'm like,
why do you all just say collectively,
I'm not good at this?
We have work to do, ladies.
Like, you can love bomb, but just stay.
Like, then it's fine, you know?
I'm with Jess.
Honestly, I love a good love bomb.
Okay.
This would work on me.
They say they've never felt this way
about anyone before on date, too.
Yeah.
I'm fine.
I mean, it's definitely love bombing, but, like, I would eat it up.
Me too.
You know.
And I mean, it's like, yeah, you haven't.
See, I never met me before.
I've been through some shit, clearly.
Like, it's like, you know, no, no person's the same.
Because I'm like, Garner, I'm like, now I'm scared of you.
I mean, like, yeah, I see maybe the intention, but I'm like, don't tell me that right now
because now I'm going to be, like, scared that, you know, like, my head just goes the wrong place.
But, okay, I think it's love bombing.
That's why she has the new lane.
Okay.
They want to hang out every single day.
I don't mind it.
Maybe not every day, but like, yeah.
Like too available, but like.
I do love quality time, but I think every day would be a lot.
Maybe like a couple times a week would be probably better in the beginning.
Like it's hard I live with my man, but yes.
I guess dating.
So, yes.
No, if you're dating, that's different.
I'm thinking like we're first dates.
Oh, yeah, then that's a lot.
Too much.
Yeah, that's way too much.
Okay.
They delete their.
dating apps after our second date.
Yeah, as they should.
Like I, I think it shows intentionality.
Yeah. I agree.
I agree. I also think it's like, you know, I don't really believe in, like, talking to multiple
people at the same time.
Come on now.
Yeah.
But also, if I wasn't super into the guy and he did that, I think it would give me the heck.
Very valid.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I have to really be into him to think it was like good.
But if I wasn't, I'd be like, oh, why'd you do that?
Yeah.
You guys need to be on the same page about, like, words.
Yeah. For sure. Okay.
They say they miss me even if we saw each other that morning.
Love that.
Yeah, I like that too.
I know. I was like, Jess, don't you be acting here?
I know.
I was like, yes.
I mean, words of affirmation, like, that's my love language.
So I'm like, I love to hear it.
Yeah.
Speaking of words of affirmation, they say, I can't stop thinking about you.
Love it.
Love that.
Yeah.
Better say that.
Mm-hmm.
You're against?
What else are they thinking about?
No, no, no.
Yeah, that's sweet.
Okay.
Yes, yes, yes.
They want to FaceTime every night before bed.
No, you're left out one word immediately.
Before bed immediately?
What does that mean?
I don't know.
Are they demanding, like, answer the phone?
That's psychotic.
Yeah, I don't like that.
No, yeah.
I think that one might be love bombing.
I mean, I love FaceTime's and calling,
but every single night gets like,
especially in the beginning.
Long distance maybe, I guess.
Yeah.
Okay.
Not every night.
Okay, so the next one,
they booked a vacation for us without asking me first.
Ooh.
Mercedes.
I'm like, don't.
I'm like, blah me.
I mean, no, that's what I'm saying.
I'm like a vacation.
Yeah.
I don't think it's love bombing.
If it's not in like a,
if you've like shown them that you're interested like if someone was like hey let's go to
Miami for a couple of days and like lay on the beach I'd be like okay yeah like I would like I would
eat that up right yeah I think so too I think like if if they know that I'm free that weekend
and they were surprising me with something like I think one or two nights it's cute and like sweet
gesture especially if that person's like love language is like but that like acts like
like like gifts or gift giving yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah, probably more.
Okay, cute.
We have one more.
I kind of like the last one.
Okay.
They say I can see myself marrying you very early.
Actually, why am I grogging my teeth?
I'm like, that's my situation.
That's our MO.
Like, I'm like, what?
Um, I don't think, I don't know.
What do you think, Jess?
That's a, that's a bold statement.
I mean, I think it depends.
Like, I don't, I don't like, think it's,
weird if people, like, if two people meet and they hit off so well, and, like, within a year,
like, they're doing, like, next steps. I mean, a lot of my friends are engaged, have kids. Like,
we're only getting older. So, like, I would, don't think I want to be in a relationship for,
like, five years and then get married. But, um, I think it always comes back to, like, if you're
saying these things, it's because you mean it and you're planning on sticking around. So I think
if you have the intentions of, like, committing and choosing me every day, then you can say whatever
you want it.
Come on now.
Honestly, I agree.
Yeah.
I agree.
I can't disagree with that one.
Well, this has been so fun for me,
especially getting all the behind the scenes,
tea.
I love you guys so much.
Thank you for stopping by.
I know it's been an exhausting weekend.
I appreciate you.
I know.
