Hey, it's Emily Tisch Sussman, and this season on She Pivots, the podcast where women share bold career moves and personal turning points.
I sit down with culture-shifting women who share their pivots like Elizabeth Smart.
I still feel that drive that I can still make a difference, so I'm going to keep going.

Hey, everyone, we're back for part two with Emily and Jordan.
Let's get right back into it.
When you're in a young marriage and you're both young,
obviously it looks a lot different for you guys.
So are finances an issue for you guys?
Do you talk about that a lot?
Do you talk about buying a home?
Like how does that look for your relationship?
I mean, I think to your point exactly where we, like when we're not, like young,
new life.
So thankfully, like finances haven't really been an issue, thankfully at this point.
I think just both where we're at in our lives,
it's not something that we need to, like, worry about right now, which is great.
I bought this condo a little over a year ago,
so when we decided to move in together,
it just made sense to come in, to come here versus Jordan was renting.
Yeah, I was in the apartment.
His is nicer because it's right on the lake,
but I owned this one, so it just made sense.
We have talked about, like,
how long we're going to stay in this place, buying something else.
But as far as like finances go, it's not really something we talk about very often
because thankfully it's not something we're like really worrying about right now, thankfully.
Yeah, we both bring different things to the table.
So it hasn't really been a problem for us.
So it's just right now.
Yeah, I mean, it sounds like the, that's why I started this whole conversation with when you're younger,
it's, it's pulling, you know, you want to.
to say 50% eat, but it looks different. And the way you guys contribute to each other and to the
relationship just looks different. And I think that's what our listeners find so interesting.
We're aware of the, like, the idea that older versus older guy for the money kind of thing.
And we're here to tell that. Hey, Jordan, that's what I'm looking for. She's taking you for all
your money, George. That's it. We're debunking that. We're defuncing that meant. We're trying to
Yeah, good for you. Have you seen any judgment?
Obviously, we've covered your family. We've covered your friends. Everyone seems very copacetic with this
relationship, which is great for you guys. What about out in the world? Do people ever, and I'll
tell you why I'm asking my, well, because I'm curious, and that's my middle name, but also, also
my dad married, which now sounds like nothing. My stepmom was eight years younger, but she
also looked very young and my dad and they have this child when my stepmom was I think she was 36 or 37 which
you know they're both gone now but they would be my dad would be a hundred my stepmom was 96 you know what I'm saying so we're talking many
generations ago and people when she took my little brother to kindergarten they said oh that's so nice you know the grandmother's
taking you to school, where's your mom, and she was mortified. So she felt very judged for being a
younger wife. What about you guys out in the world? Do you get any people making comments?
Jordan, you still look really young. We have a baby. We would get that. Yeah. Sometimes we see,
like, maybe a grandpa with this kid or maybe it's the dad. And we're like, do you think that's a dad or the
grandpa? Well, you said that you, she, you know, we just at a party that you maybe had to prompt some of
your employee friends. Oh. Oh. Oh.
Just like letting people know.
Like just maybe see you answer them.
Sometimes I feel like I need to like warn people like, okay.
Are you talking about your employee?
You're talking about your work, your workplace?
We were at a work event yesterday.
So that's what made him think about it.
But like, if it's people that don't, I don't really know that well.
And like, I'll be like, oh, my boyfriend's coming.
And just like, just so you know, like, he's a little older than me.
So like, don't be surprised, you know,
because I don't want ever, I don't want anyone to ever feel like they're in an
uncomfortable situation like is that her boyfriend like who is that um so sometimes i don't see it though i don't
see it i mean he looks young i know but still it could be it could be shocking if you don't know
you're like this pretty young girl like an eye stroll up and be like does it does it bring your dad to work
day no no but i mean people think nobody ever actually thought that i don't think no one never said
well emily emily can we just please pray if people are thinking it they don't
say it. Because people can be pretty damn judgy.
Well, Kathy, you're my witness. Fred was 13 years old,
younger than me, and they thought he was older.
Well, he looked older than you.
So it doesn't matter.
He didn't live, he doesn't, Jordan lives the nice clean life, you know, gets up,
works out. There's a difference in lifestyle there, but, you know,
are you feeling, are you feeling praised here, Jordan?
Thank you. Yeah. I feel very, very, I feel very praise.
I don't really feel like I've noticed judgment out in the public.
Again, Kathy, to your point, maybe I'm just not seeing it and people are thinking it,
which fine, none of my business.
Yeah, they can think whenever they want.
You can't control that.
I just wondered if people have literally voiced it.
And I can't imagine they would, but you never know.
One time, you know, I was with The Bachelor of Guys, you know, my friends this weekend.
And we talked about them a lot.
You know, they've all obviously met Emily now.
And, you know, some of them have different, you know, they were like, ah, you know, first I didn't see it.
And now and now like, yeah, I totally get it, you know.
So if you just say, oh, he's dating, it's, you know, a 40-year-old and they're 23 years apart, then you're, you might immediately come to some judgment upon it.
Right.
But then once you meet us and you see us, it's like.
It's normal.
I just have to ask you and both of you, do you think if I were dating someone 23 years, I was about to say older, and that means they'd be six feet under?
If I were dating someone 23 years younger than I, do you think there's more judgment with a, because let's face it, it's very customary. Jordan, you and I've talked about this on the phone. It's very customary that no one looks askance at an older man dating a younger woman. Or if they do, they're like, like you said, oh, she's after his money. But we see it. We see it a lot. We don't see older women dating younger men. I'm curious, would you guys have any
take on that? Just I know I fully agree with that. I think that it's way more acceptable
to with our situation. I think the younger man, older female for some reason is like less acceptable.
And I don't I don't agree with it, but I do agree with you that it is not as.
I still think the stigma is coming off that as well. You had some high high profile, you know,
women dating really young men
you know J-Lo and
Madonna. That's really young though.
Right. Well, yeah, that's true.
No, Justin Chudeau, wasn't he
dating something really young?
He is...
He is...
Now it's Katie Perry.
Isn't that when you're a cougar?
They call us a cougar?
And how about the owner of the Patriots
who is my age and he's dating a 23-year-old?
Oh, she's 24 now.
That's what it becomes...
Their age gap is double our age gap.
That's what it becomes gross.
There are a lot of those old men, young women, which are kind of gross, let's say, if you see it.
And like I said, I've had three daughters.
And one of the things I've never wanted to be was like a creepy guy, like with their friends or I've always super avoided that.
So I would never want to think.
So wait, Jordan, before you met Emily.
Yeah.
And you are, Emily, lovely.
I mean, you're, you're, I can see the, I can see the attraction here.
But it, but let's just.
Ray Stanley for a minute here.
If your daughters had come home,
bye, if your daughters had come
home with a guy
23 years older than
they, what would your comment
have been? And again, you can't, you don't
know Emily, haven't met her yet. I would be
probably very unhappy, certainly
in the beginning until I got to know him.
But if his daughter was 40,
that's a different.
You guys need to have my dad on this podcast.
Yeah, we'll have him next time. Wait, is he
single? Is your dad single?
Yes, he?
Kathy. And I would like pitch him. He's wonderful. He's a great. We lost my step mom right after Jordan
and I started dating and my dad has been trying to date for the last year. How old is your dad,
Emily? 75. Okay. Is he active? Is he a Jordan? Yes. Yes. Okay, hook me up.
Candy. He's better than the Jordan. I already said to Jordan. I'm going to hook up Kathy with my
dad. I'm in. I'm in. Jordan knows how to reach me. You've got my phone number, Jordan. Make it happen. That
will be the podcast of the century. Come to Chicago. Okay, we, let's make this happen. We'll do that after
this. Wait, and Jordan, just tell me, tease me a little bit. Did you have Emily try any of the little
games that we had to play on the show coming out? Have she told you about this? You're a real gamer
and competition, you have no idea what we went through.
Well, Susan, you got to say, nobody knows what you're talking about.
I said about our show that's coming up next month on the 23rd, 99 to beat.
Jordan and I were there together.
I was so surprised.
I remember going in and I was doing an interview with somebody and I hear somebody behind me going, yeah, yeah, yeah.
In a minute, wait, I want to say hi to Susan first.
And I thought, I'm the only Susan.
And I turned around.
Yeah, that was, it was such a great surprise.
to see you there. Like, you know, the whole cast was probably maybe 30% of some sort of reality stars of some sort.
Right. It was so great to have you there. And Susan couldn't have been, I need to tell the world, I scratched my nose on for some reason. I was trying to get something and I had a really bludied up my nose.
Oh, God. And then I went out there for the shoot and they're like, you can't go. You can't go out there like that.
I wake up every day.
Oh, pardon me.
So nice of her.
I still might look like Frankenstein when the show.
Oh, no, you did.
And how about his nephews?
Do you not love the three of them?
Yes.
All of the whole family.
Yeah, we just went to Sage's wedding was about, you know.
Wait, I'm sorry.
I've lost whose nephews?
Jordan had three nephews.
I told you there.
Yeah, I was on the show with three.
Oh, I forgot.
You did tell me.
Right.
Right.
Oh, wow.
But Susan, Jordan, every time I've talked to him,
He was so grateful that you were there and you were like his home away from home.
He got to know me a little bit because, you know, I'm loud like Kathy knows.
People just judge us, but we got to spend time together.
Yeah, it was really, it was really.
I mean, that whole experience was fantastic.
It was fantastic.
It was.
But I'd like you to try some of those games, Emily.
I know.
When was this maybe like a year ago?
because we always argue about who's, like, better at things.
Yeah.
And so we were like, okay, maybe it was my idea.
We're going to do like a decathlon where we run a mile.
We do all these things and we see who actually is better.
Shoot free throws, run a mile.
She's going to keep you on your toes.
I mean, we got it.
It's got to keep fun and interesting.
And we like to play sports.
So it goes right in.
Yeah, I heard ping pong.
You really call them out of sports.
What? Anything's a sport?
My ping pong's not my sport.
She claimed it was.
I just thought I could, I was like, I could do any other.
She's a volleyball player.
She's a volleyball player.
So we play volleyball together too.
What position do you play, Emily Sutter?
I played middle, actually.
Oh. Yeah, I was a short middle, but I was quick.
So that helped me.

When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and held captive for nine months.
I survived, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them.
I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the survivor files.
I just remember this low, taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything.
Every week, I'm with survivors who lived through the unthinkable.
I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me.
I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming.
They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced.
But these aren't stories about what's taken from them.
There's stories about what it takes to make it out alive.

Our town is small taters by most standards, right?
But to the people who grew up here, it's everything.
What happens when a quiet Tennessee town becomes the front line in a battle over the future of America?
Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land in the area.
The first thing you see when it pops up is pioneers in Appalachia.
But they weren't just planning how.
We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody the Christian way of life.
Stop right there. Is that normal?
A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment.
God need men to rule. Great.
And decides to fight back.
Do not use my hard work to sell your bull.
They're not just opposing what's being planned for here.
Our hometown is not a test tube.

This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones,
and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about.
And what it really means to live forever for all of us.
I learned about some rad science.
I can make a brain for you,

as opposed to his brain.
Here are some hard truths.
I would expect Indians to age faster,
but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five-year acceleration.
And get myself into a world of trouble.
I'd say probably start bone smashing.
That doesn't work.
Make it look more defined.
They say it works.
I don't know.

Hey, this is Hayes Davenport.
And Sean Clements.
We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook
on the Big Money Players Network.
Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners.
Each week, we talk to someone in show business,
aka the biz,
and try to help them with their careers
and see what they have to offer us.
Everyone has a good time,
and no one gets mad at their publicists
for letting them do our show.
We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman.
Not that great.
Actually, can you help me shape this?
How about we flip it on his head?
How about we flip this trip?
What is the surprise woman?
Actually, you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird.
Adam Scott.
This entire time, you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show.
I would never
I would never set expectations for something like that to happen.
If the universe allows for something like that to happen,
I'm open to it.
I'm always going to accept.
You know, Danny McBride, fine.
Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity.
Exuding.
I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you.
I was like, is that weed?
Nope, it's fragile masculinity.
Mm-hmm.
Ben Stiller, no.
Because a lot of times out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is.
You know what I mean?
They're like, oh, what's a state?
Everyone's so dumb except for you.
And fake.
Right, fake and also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life.
I don't care about your life.
And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us.
Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy.

or wherever you get your podcasts.
Thanks for being so open with us.
And now that we know a little bit more
about both of you and your relationship,
we'd love to know your thoughts overall
when it comes to a relationship like yours,
what advice would you give to somebody else?
Well, I think the advice that I would give
to any of my single friends
or even, you know, dating friends
is really try to be honest and compassionate and understanding to a level that most guys,
that all I'd say my age, are not ready to be.
People are guarded, really guarded, and they're not sure of people's intentions.
People have been hurt through all these million relationships they're having,
these two-minute online relationships.
So people are, they don't want to kind of reveal who they are.
And I think that's a real detriment to anyone's relationship until, you,
Until you say, I'm willing to get hurt, I'm willing to, and I'm going to put myself out there and just kind of be my true self.
That's the best advice I can give someone.
Be genuine. Be yourself.
And don't be afraid of what you sound like a producer for the bachelor.
Be your authentic self.
But it's true.
I mean, it really is.
It doesn't really necessarily translate to TV, but it translates to real life.
Yeah.
I would say my advice would just be open to things that you might.
not be looking for because like Jordan said he if we were on the apps we wouldn't have
matched because I wasn't looking for someone like him necessarily so like I tell my
friends like if there might be somebody who's completely not your type and that might be
the one that you're meant to be with and so I guess I would say just like be open and don't
like close anybody off just because they don't necessarily fit in your like checkbox of what you're
looking for because I wasn't looking for
him and now I got him and he's the best.
I love this.
I love it. So Jordan, I'm curious, what are some of the things that
older men can do in their relationship to make sure that they're younger,
you know, to make sure that Emily, a younger partner in general, is still enjoying their
youth. What advice do you have for that?
Well, I think you have to kind of be active as one thing.
active mentally and active physically.
So I'd make sure that I still like to go to concerts.
You know, I like to go out and bike rides, enjoy the city.
This would really be, there's a lot of life left to live.
And, you know, certain guys, even guys my age, even some of the bachelor guys,
they're more where they want to stay in kind of their bubble.
They don't want to do too much.
The music's too loud.
Are they used to guys?
That's my thing from the thing.
From a show, they're used to guys.
they used to play tennis they used to go skiing now they sit on the sofa watching tv right it's very
like so like i'm not going to pat myself in the back but when i play volleyball i'm the youngest
the oldest one there by i don't know a long shot but guys could still play at my age so i don't
understand like i love playing why would i want to give that up yeah and the same thing with going to
a concert or even even you know my friends from the suburbs are like ah the city we don't want to go
you're going to go to bed at nine o'clock in the suburbs what are you going to do there's there's like an
endless amount of things to do.
He goes out more than I do.
He's like, let's go to Italian Fest last night.
And I was like, yeah, I'm kind of tired.
There's so much.
So I think you just have to keep, you know, you just, there's so much fun activity that
people just give up on in life as they get older.
They just want to settle in and kind of coast.
And that's, that would be my best advice is make, make sure you stay mentally and
physically active and go out and see the world.
Emily, this question's for you.
What is it about dating an older man that you think is so much better than dating somebody
your age?
Oh, I guess probably kind of back to my answer earlier of just he he's not playing the
games.
Like he knows what he wants.
He's not like positioning for anything specifically.
He's not trying to like get certain things out of the relationship.
He's just here's who I am.
here's what I'm looking for.
Here's what I can give.
Like, are you interested or not?
Yeah.
And when dating somebody your own age, you question some things.
Is that what you're saying?
For sure.
I mean, I think dating my own age is like, does kind of feel like, oh, is there going to be somebody out better who comes around next week?
Or, you know, I might not have time because I have to make sure I do this with my bros.
Or, you know, I just feel like he's more, he was more committed.
to like actually spending time with me and getting to know me and like having a real relationship,
not just like, I don't know, like, let's see if this works for a while until something better comes
along.
Yeah, I know what you're saying.
I do.
And you guys seem perfect.
You really do.
Thank you.
Yeah, you seem very happy.
It's, it's interesting because Susan and I talk, um, Susan's obviously recently back on the dating
circle.
Not yet, but she will be.
and Jordan, I got to tell you, you, if more men would listen to what you're saying about being active and you've just stopped playing the games.
I mean, I wasn't joking, Emily, when I said the three-day rule.
I have men that, and I'm like, come on.
Like, these guys are anywhere from 60 to my age.
And that's like, really?
We're going to do this.
This is what you want to do with your time.
It's stunning.
Well, my dad does not do that.
My dad is like...
What's his name?
What's his name?
Hey, Bill.
I don't know, Kath.
I'm going to Chicago really soon.
Yeah, too bad.
You're...
Hey, Susan.
Everyone, hold, please.
Susan is suffering from a broken heart bill.
I have an open heart available.
So we know where this is going.
Where's your dad from, Minnesota?
I'm sorry?
Is Bill from Minnesota?
Yes, he's in Minnesota.
But he...
spends time. We have a cabin in northern Wisconsin. He spends a lot of time up there. He rides his bike all
the time. He goes to the gym. He coaches my kind of guy. Okay, we'll get, listen, I'll get him to move
to Chicago. We'll be your neighbors. No, we'll, we'll run out your condo. You guys can go buy
your place wherever. See? Done. We have it all planned out. All right, now we have some fun things
we're going to do. Okay, let's do it. You're ready, Kathy. Okay. I am, uh, I don't want
stop. I'm very interesting. I can talk to them all day. I'm interested in Bill.
Just give me, you know, it's my time. Emily, we'll do dinner.
Okay.
Oh, yeah. We're good when you're coming to you. Okay. You guys, every week we answer questions.
We give out our golden advice. And this week, you guys, we'd love for you guys to help us.
So before we get to that, is there any other advice that you would give just in general to
listeners before you start giving advice.
You know, we have a couple of questions we're going to ask from listeners.
I would just say, don't worry about what people are thinking or, you know, and don't like,
you know, we were, even we were at this party the other night and we had a great time.
And we, I leered around the, and I could see some people sitting in the corners just kind
of looking.
And I'm not going to worry about what they're thinking.
It doesn't matter.
So it's just.
Good.
I love it.
That's such a healthy.
Like, it doesn't matter.
You're going to live.
It's your life to live.
You just live in how you want to live it.
And what do we care what everybody else thinks?
Yeah, we do.
I listen, you know what?
I've learned a long time ago, Jordan, because I'm not the shy and retiring type.
People are going to think what they want about any of us.
And the people I care about their opinions are the people I know.
If you know me a little bit now, if you don't like me, then I'm going to say, why, I did something I did.
But if I don't know you and you're just writing in and ripping, who cares or looking at me on this?
I don't care.
And I think about that, too, of like, oh,
Okay, yeah, some people might say, oh, my gosh, did you see Emily and Jordan in their age gap?
Like, okay, they might talk about it for one day and then they'll find the next thing to talk about the next day.
Who cares? Let them talk. They have something to talk about. Did you ever go out to a restaurant?
You see a couple and they don't say two words to each other?
Yeah, exactly. Most of the time.
I look at them like, oh, that's so uncomfortable or they're both on their phones.
Like give them something to talk about. All right. Okay, you ready, guys?
Yes.
This is from Hannah, from Austin. How about that, Kathy? My boyfriend and I have been together for almost
four years, and lately, I've started feeling more like his personal assistant than his partner.
I'm the one who remembers birthdays, plans every vacation, schedules appointments, buy gifts for
his family, and keeps our lives running. He's incredibly appreciative, but he never takes initiative
unless I ask. How do I explain that I don't want more help because I'm overwhelmed?
I want him to notice what needs to be done without me having to ask, oh, Hannah, good luck.
We're women. What do you guys say? What's your answer? What do you think?
My answer isn't really necessarily helping her, like, get him to help her, but my answer is, like,
are there things that she can identify that he does that maybe...
She, like, because for us, like, Jordan might say the same thing.
Like, I cook dinner every night.
But I'm like, okay, but then I do this.
And like, so it's more of just like being okay with like what kind of roles
and responsibilities you each have versus trying to like change maybe the other person.
But don't women always remember the dates of birthdays and things?
That's just a girl thing.
I think.
Wait, wait, what you think?
What?
You don't think so, Kathy?
Well, I think, you know, if they fall into these categories that now that she's not comfortable doing or she just feels like it's, you know, it's thrown on her and he's not, he may be appreciative, but he knows that she's going to be there to do it.
It's, those are going to probably keep adding up, it seems like, in this, in this relationship.
He's going to keep piling some of those on.
So she needs to come to the table and voice her.
That's my opinion.
Well, Susan, I think what Susan was saying, which is what I said, what,
was you were talking about traditional female roles.
We've just spent an hour with these two
disputing, debunking, Susan, go back to sleep.
I don't trust the man to remember those things.
Oh, my God.
Just take over.
See, that's the thing.
Not with dates of weddings and anniversaries.
That's what makes your relationship interesting.
I mean, you're both lovely people,
but that's what makes it interesting to me
that you are bucking traditional roles of marriage,
dating, all of the things, finances, all the things that we've talked about. And that's, so,
you know, Susan, I think Jordan is probably going to be out shopping for the birthday
present for Bill, or the wedding gift for Bill and me. I think Jordan's going to be doing that.
Bill's birthdays in 10 days.

Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable.

But they weren't just planning.
houses. We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody the Christian way of life.
Stop right there. Is that normal? A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a
social experiment. God need men to rule. Great. And decides to fight back. Do not use my hard work to sell
your bull. They're not just opposing what's being planned for here. Our hometown is not a test to.

I'm Mungeshit Together, and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive.
This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement
to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about and what it really means to live
forever for all of us.
I learned about some rad science.
I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain.
Here are some hard truths.
I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five-year acceleration.
And get myself into a world of trouble.
I'd say probably start bones smashing.
That doesn't work.
Make it look more defined.
They say it works.
I don't know.

this lovely couple who is absolutely bucking the odds.
And if you don't believe you can find love out there, look at these two.
It doesn't have to be what you always thought it had to be.
And it was all over a picture.
I love that.
I know.
I'm glad to, I think, people have comments in the comments of the show.
We'll glad to answer them.
I'm happy to do that.
Absolutely.
Okay, before we go, do you guys have any questions for us besides my phone number for Bill?
It's funny because when you, I was like, when they say,
is there anything else. I'm going to say
my dad is single.
So.
Ah.
You guys still enjoying the podcast?
It's a loving it.
Oh, my God.
Yes.
I love it.
I mean, that's the thing, Jordan.
Susan and I really are great friends.
And so like we're getting ready to leave.
We're going to be spending five days in Northern California going to a wedding.
She's performing the wedding.
And then we're going to go to wine country for a few days.
So yes, the friendships are real.
We love doing the podcast.
But sometimes people are like.
like, are they really friends?
Although they're got, their guys got all together.
They party. Like, we haven't done that.
Yeah, exactly. We were just had, there were 11 of us here of the Baster, the Golden Bachelorettes.
And people said the same thing. You guys are still friends. I love it.
I mean, it's really, and it's really good friendship.
It really has developed into a really good friendship.
I love that.
Well, thank you, Jordan and Emily for being with us.
Thank you for being so candid sharing your life.
We wish you. We want to have you back.
But just in the meantime, just enjoy.
your lives and great having you. Don't worry about what anybody else says and we're going to do
dinner when I'm coming in a few weeks. Absolutely. You cannot wait for it. Love you guys. Thank
care, guys. So we just finished our our podcast with Emily and Jordan and amazing couple.
They're adorable. She's gorgeous. I mean, she really is pretty. What did you think?
Because one area I want to touch on, what do you think? Well, my first
foremost thought they met organically on the field.
And she works for them.
So she was hosting that family.
I love that story.
And right away, her girlfriend, you know, all of us.
Yeah, Susan, take a lesson, buddy, take a lesson.
Go take a picture.
You know what I found so interesting.
A couple of things, but one, he was talking about not playing games.
And I'm like, all the men that I've dated, they all play games.
So I found that really interesting that he was so vocal about, you know, not playing games.
And she liked the fact that he doesn't play games.
And I just thought that is a unicorn because I would have thought dating our age, men wouldn't play games.
But I was really amazed to hear that he doesn't play games.
I want to know.
And that's what you love the battle that he's so real.
What you see is what you get.
I know.
I love that.
The other thing I found it was, I mean, he, it sounds like he.
It sounds like he's mostly, you know, running the house and she's, she's got a big title.
And our commute.
That's, yeah, that's crazy.
And how wouldn't you love coming home to a meal?
Well, I wouldn't.
Because I don't care about food.
He's doing his share.
I love this.
Yeah, I mean, that's interesting.
He said that a couple of times on the podcast that he's doing his share.
Yes.
And, again, we touched on it.
Yeah.
when you're younger and you have two like if she were dating a 40 year old guy they'd both be coming home from work they'd both be exhausted it's your turn to clean the bathroom yeah yeah yeah what are we having for dinner who's doing the laundry who's yeah you know and it's i didn't ask him that but you know what i'm saying it's just such a different and it's working obviously okay but i got to say the one thing that i really wanted to get deeper into but you know you can't fight city hall why is the fact that
that she said, that Emily said, you know, it's more acceptable.
She's very articulate, so I don't think she meant acceptable.
I think she meant more common to see an older man with a younger girl than a...
Which it is.
I know, but I, it's, and I like that Jordan said it's becoming less of an issue.
Because, as you know, I like to date men younger because, as we said on the podcast,
guys' marriage are used to guys.
But I think it is true that if I were,
in a much younger guy, I think I would get stares and comments.
Well, it depends on how much younger?
23 years.
For my situation, they thought he was older.
It just depends.
And you know what?
I don't, and I don't think you do either.
We don't go looking for somebody at this age.
It's who you meet and what happens.
You know, you don't set out.
I will only date somebody 10 years my junior, you know?
Well, I mean, I do have parameters around who. So do I. Yes. But sometimes things happen that you don't expect.
I mean, yeah, I love the idea of them meeting in the wild. She had been married. I didn't know that prior to the podcast. And I got to say when I asked Jordan about his children, you know, what they thought when they, or what he would say as a parent of his, if his daughter.
brought home. I got to say, I thought he was honest. I'd have a problem. Would you?
But not if your daughter was 40, would you still have a problem? See, I think you have a perfect
reason to have a problem when your daughter's 29 years old and dating somebody, you know,
49 years old or what have you, 50. Then I could see a conversation. But if she's 40.
Why is it different? Because she's older.
And she's worked and she has a life.
Like she's not a kid anymore.
She knows what she's doing.
Oh, there's no doubt.
You still have a talk, of course, and make sure.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I don't think I'd be that upset.
Well, I'm not saying to be upset.
I thought they were very honest.
I thought he was honest.
Jordan was honest in his appraisal of, you know, what he would say if his daughter
came home with someone older.
And I know that, I mean, just selfishly,
you know, he said
he will probably die before she does.
That's just a fact of nature.
Sure. That makes sense.
But you know what? I have to say
I was surprised to see, not surprised.
I was happily surprised, if you will,
to see how happy they were.
Clearly he emotionally supports her
and she needs that.
You know, if it works, don't knock it. That's what I say.
I'm rooting for them.
Yeah, me too.
And if they have a baby,
and I'm married to Bill, I'll have another grandchild.
It's perfect. I love it.
It was great having them.
It was super fun.
