This is an I-Heart podcast.
On the latest episode of Next Question with me, Katie Couric,
I sat down with Bernie Sanders.
We've talked many times over the years,
and today he even throws a few questions my way.
Are you ready for another question?
Go ahead.
Hit me, Bernie.
We talk about the billionaire class, the cost of living,
and of course, the government shut down.
Listen to next question with me, Katie Couric,
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
On the podcast health stuff, we are tackling all the health questions that keep you up at night.
I'm Dr. Priyanko Wally, a double board certified physician.
And I'm Hurricane de Bolo, a comedian and someone who once Googled, do I have scurvy at 3 a.m.
And on our show, we're talking about health in a different way, like our episode where we look at
diabetes.
In the United States, I mean, 50% of Americans are pre-diabetic.
How preventable is type 2?
Extremely.
Listen to Health Stuff on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Kyle McLaughlin.
You might know me as that guy from Twin Peaks, Sex and the City, or just the Internet stand.
I have a new podcast called What Are We Even Doing, where I embark on a noble quest to understand the brilliant chaos of youth culture.
Each week, I invite someone fascinating.
to join me to talk about navigating this high-speed rollercoaster we call reality.
Join me and my delightful guests every Thursday.
And let's get weird together in a good way.
Listen to what are we even doing on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
The show was ahead of its time to represent a black family in ways
the television hadn't shown before.
Exactly.
It's Talma Hopkins, also known as Aunt Rachel.
And I'm Kelly Williams or Laura Winslow.
On our podcast, welcome to.
the family with Telma and Kelly. We're re-watching every episode of Family Matters. We'll share
behind-the-scenes stories about making the show. Yeah, we'll even bring in some special
guests to spill some tea. Listen to Welcome to the Family with Telma and Kelly on the IHeart
Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Nora Jones, and I love playing music with people so much that my podcast called Playing
Along is back. I sit down with musicians from all musical styles to play songs together in an
intimate setting. Over the past two seasons, I've had special guests like Dave Grohl, Leveh,
Rufus Wainwright, Mavis Staples, really too many to name. And there's still so much more to come
in this new season. Listen to Nora Jones is playing along on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour's Golden Hour.
Thanks for joining us today.
We are so excited to be back, as always.
How are you today, Susan?
I am fabulous.
I'm really excited about today's guest, and she is very special to us.
Please welcome Katie Bigger from Zach's shell cross season.
Hi, Katie.
Welcome to all the hour.
Thanks for having me again, guys.
Dog, gone.
You've got that happily married glow on your face.
I'm telling you, the hair, the skin.
She's just glowing.
Oh, thank you.
going on have you been we're we're doing really good zax working is nine to five i'm a part-time
nurse still and we have our wedding celebration coming up literally next weekend so we are so pumped
for that we have a lot of bachelor alumni coming in for that okay so let's get into that who's
coming besides yours truly uh we've got uh all the girls like from my cast that i'm really
close with. So Jess, Mercedes, Gabby, we've got Davia, Ariel, that crew coming in. And then we've got
Joey, Kelsey. We've got, we've, I don't, Kathy, I don't know if you've met him yet, but it's
Jenna Palick's boyfriend, Connor Saly, who was on Hannah Brown season. He'll be, oh, no, I've
not met him. Yeah, so that'll be super calm. He's coming in. So there's like a bunch of people from
different seasons coming in. It'll be a good time. How big a party is this going to be?
It's probably going to be, I think we're looking at 130 people for the celebration.
And then we're doing like a big pickleball tournament in the morning.
Oh, that's going to hurt.
Oh, yeah.
I just can't break anything.
I got my paddle ready.
I'm ready to go.
So tell us about your new house.
You got a new home.
Yes.
So Zach and I are building a home.
It'll be made or sorry, it would be finished building in like July, August they're saying.
they just broke ground so that's super exciting and i'm just like so pumped about it like this is my
super bowl i got to like pick all the colors my cats flooring i'm just i saw you you had a you you
posted i saw you looking at countertops and picking out marbles and grants and i thought oh she's
having a blast with it oh yeah oh yeah and zach's just like do your thing katie like you got
perfect husband the perfect husband whatever you like babe
So is this house, watch this seamless transition, Katie.
So is this house big enough to have children?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
It's got one, two, three, four, five bedrooms in it.
Whoa.
What?
How far is it from where you're at now?
It's more, we're north, so it's more south.
It's a bit south of the airport.
So it's probably like a 15, 20 minute drive from where I am right now.
So we're going to be on the complete other end of Austin, which I'm excited for.
Now, Kathy, are you south of the airport?
No, I am in central Austin.
So Katie will be south of me.
But still close enough for me to come over and babysit for sure.
We're going to need you because we have no family here.
I'm family.
That's right.
So we'd have a question.
You said in something I read, I think it was a Bachelor Nation article, which are always fabulous fun to read.
If you, listeners, if you don't read them, you should.
You said something about your health being 100% before you have children.
What does that mean?
Yeah, I think right now I went to a doctor because I've been like having like chronic fatigue.
I've been having brain fog.
Muscle.
Are you pregnant?
No, I would do that.
But I guess I'm like really low in vitamin D.
So I'm on these like weak vitamin D supplements and there are some other things too.
that I got to check out and make sure we're all good.
But I think just like being a nurse, too,
I just want to be the healthiest I possibly can,
especially before we have a little baby.
Are you going to try?
Are you just going to let it happen and not care which one way or the other?
Do you have a plan?
Yeah, I think our plan is to kind of like start pulling the goalie in like fall of
2026. Get in the house. Get settled. Yeah, exactly. And I don't want to be like nauseated while I'm
decorating because I'm so excited for this. Like I don't want to be like throwing up and I just want,
I just want. Katie, not everyone. Let me just tell you, not everyone throws up and get sick. Some people
just get pregnant like me and eat until they explode and then pop the babies out and do it all over again.
I hope that's the case for me. I truly hope that's the case. So has anything changed?
after saying i do um do you feel any differently i mean you were living together so but what has changed
if anything i i don't know it's just like we're just so in love with each other whether there's a
two two rings on my finger or no rings at all we're just so in love with each other and he's just
such an incredible man like i genuinely he's like the kindest sweetest
most thoughtful selfless like everything you want in a husband that's what zach is and yeah i don't
think anything's i can attest it out every with each other yeah we're just growing every day and
it's just so fun waking up with your best friend he's so fun to hang out with all the time
doing fun things that we have to go back um does everybody know i think they know one of the
sweetest things
Zach did for you
was another engagement.
Yes.
Does everyone know that story?
Can you just like give a quick little share it?
Share it.
Yeah, I mean, we did post it on social media,
but I think after the show, like obviously that was very constructed by the Bachelor
and the whole setup and everything and lights and cameras.
That's just like not normal.
So I think Zach always had this idea of wanting to propose to me.
again. And I think it was really sweet because it's kind of like, okay, now you see me for
everything that I am. When the cameras are off, like you see my flaws and flaws in all the good,
the bad, all of it. So yeah, he reproposed to me in Portugal, which was beautiful. It was
intimate. It was just us. And it was perfect. And we went on a little sunset, uh, uh, uh,
did you know he was going to do it? I had a feeling he was going to. He was going to.
to do it but not there and i guess he was like carrying around the ring all day and he didn't know
when to do it it was just very like at the whim he was like okay baby like i love you so much and then
as soon as he said that i blacked out i was like oh okay so wait because i you know i'm a detail person
so you had one ring on and this is an engagement of all you know untold proportions like
whoever does this darling i love you let me slip off that other diamond ring and
let me slip on a new diamond ring.
Yeah, it was pretty funny.
So now you have two.
So now we have two.
So we have two.
Are we blending them and getting a giant one at this point?
Or what is your plan?
It's funny because I have put them on at the same time.
And it's just too much for me.
I'm just like a simple, I don't like anything too flashy kind of girl.
So I think we're going to hold on to the Neil Lane diamond for now.
Maybe I don't know.
You have a daughter.
It could be hers.
Yeah, you know, Katie's not flashy.
You know, a five-bedroom home that she's building.
I mean, there's nothing flashy about that.
On the latest episode of Next Question with me, Katie Couric, I sat down with Bernie Sanders, who is 84 years old, has spent 34 years in Congress, and he can still pack a rally with people a quarter of his age.

Is that sound like a radical idea, Katie.
Is that too far left for you?
Okay, okay.
I get your point, Bernie.

are.
Oh, it's hard to explain to the rest of the world that, like, your mangoes are fine because
mangoes are incredible, but, like, you don't even know.
You don't know.
You don't know.
It's going to be a fun ride.
So tune in.

All I know is what I've been told, and that's a half-truth is a whole lie.
For almost a decade, the murder of an 18-year-old girl from a small town in Graves County, Kentucky, went unsolved,
until a local homemaker, a journalist, and a handful of girls came forward with a story.
I'm telling you, we know Quincy Kilder, we know.
A story that law enforcement used to convict six people, and that got the citizen investigator on national TV.
Through sheer persistence and nerve, this case.
Kentucky housewife helped give justice to Jessica Curran.
My name is Maggie Freeling.
I'm a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, producer,
and I wouldn't be here if the truth were that easy to find.
I did not know her and I did not kill her,
or rape or burn or any of that other stuff that y'all said.
They literally made me say that I took a match and struck and threw it on her.
They made me say that I poured gas on her.
From Lava for Good,
this is Graves County, a show about just how far our legal system will go in order to find someone to blame.

It's okay not to be okay sometimes
and be able to build strength and love within each other.
Thanksgiving isn't just about food.
It's a day for us to show up for one another.
I'm Elliot Connie, host of the podcast Family Therapy,
a series where real families come together to heal and find hope.
What would be a clue that would be like?
I've gotten lots of text messages from them.
This one's from a little bit better of a version of him.
Because he's feeding himself well.
It's always a concern.
Like, are you eating well?
He's actually an amazing cook.
There was this one time where we had neighbors and I saved their dog.
And I ended up inviting them over for food.
And that was like one of my proudest moments.
This is family therapy.
Real families, real stories on a journey to heal together.
Listen to season two of family therapy every Wednesday on the Black Effect podcast network.
IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Jonathan Goldstein, and on the new season of heavyweight,
I help a centenarian mend a broken heart.
How can a 101-year-old woman fall in love again?
And I help a man atone for an armed robbery he committed at 14 years old.
And so I pointed the gun at him and said this isn't a joke.
And he got down, and I remember feeling kind of a surge of like, okay, this is power.
Plus, my old friend Gregor and his brother tried to solve my problems through hypnotism.
We could give you a whole brand new thing where you're like super charming all the time.
Being more able to look people in the eye.
Not always hide behind a microphone.
Listen to Heavyweight on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I love you and you know that.
We've both been kind of busy and I haven't seen you very much.
But I'm saying it here publicly when that little munchkin or twins or triplets, whatever you may have, I will be there to help you.
Oh, I know you will.
I'll fly in and help.
We just missed you too.
We were all there.
Was she out of town?
What was it?
I asked about her and we were all.
The whole weekend and Nancy.
little get together. That was my slip-up. That was me. That was me.
I was so busy, though. I was, I was watching your guys' stories, and you guys, we were looking like you were having a blast. And finally, Kathy's kitchen was used. So that's good.
Hey, even though it was morning when we cooked. But. So wait, Katie, I have a question about your, I know you want to become, or at least get a green card, correct?
Yeah. Have you started that yet?
So basically when I left Canada in August, there's a three-month kind of like probation period where I can't do anything.
So basically in December, we're going to start the process.
And then from there, it's kind of like the unforeseeable future of when I can leave the country, when we will get it.
But I'm working with a great immigration lawyer.
So hopefully sooner than later, but we'll see.
Yeah, it's a lot.
But that's just for a green card.
Do you plan on becoming a citizen?
No, I'll keep my citizenship in Canada, but I'll be-
You can have both.
Yeah, I'll be a permanent resident here.
I don't want to take away my Canadian citizenship.
You don't have to.
You can be dual.
Can't you have both?
You can be dual.
But I think you have to, I don't know the in and outs.
I don't want to-
I do.
My sister was my sister's dual.
You could be both.
Okay, I didn't, I think it's maybe like the reverse.
Like if Zach and I were to live in Canada,
he would have to revoke his U.S. citizenship in order to be a Canadian.
Canadian.
Yeah, there's one of them where you can't have both.
And I think it's if he came to Canada.
Well, my sister moved, I don't know, maybe laws are changed.
My sister moved to Canada, married a Canadian, and kept dual citizenship.
Okay.
Well, maybe I'm wrong.
So I don't know.
I don't know.
But whatever, we would love to have you in this country as a citizen, permanent resident.
We'll take anywhere we can get you, Katie.
She just belongs here.
She belongs here.
All right.
So we just had, um, uh, Mel.
Fantasy Suites.
It just aired on Golden Bachelor,
and we were curious because
we are voyeurs. We want
to know about your experience
as a successful couple
that went through Fantasy Suite.
So if Mel
is with someone right now, what advice
do you have for the woman he's with?
Tell us what your thoughts were, fantasy
suites moving forward.
I mean, for Mel, I would just say,
be yourself, trust your gut. Don't put any
declarations like, oh, I'm not
having sex this week, anything like Zach did, because that kind of turned the corner in the
worst way. But yeah, I think also just like taking advantage of the time, really getting to know
each woman for who they are. How did you feel being there? What were you? For me, I mean,
I mean, everybody's going to deal with Fantasy Suite week differently. I think I've watched
the bachelor in the past. I knew full-fledged what I was getting into when I signed that comment.
contract. If I got that far, then that was potentially something that was going to happen. And
I wasn't blind to that. And I knew that going into it. And I just wanted to compartmentalize each
relationship as best as I possibly could. I'm sorry, I have to interrupt. Do you mean Zach's other
relationships? You said compartmentalize the relationships. Which one? Yeah. The other women, right?
Yeah, with the other women. Okay. Gabby and Ariel were there for a fantasy sweet week.
and yeah you just I just wanted to go into that week and just grow together and get to know him more
and vice versa that's all I wanted and you weren't thinking about the other women you weren't
no I wasn't trying to because I was very confident in our relationship and I was confident
who I am as a woman and what I can bring to the table and if you want that that's amazing
if you don't then you don't and best of luck so
So Susan and I were just talking on one of our other podcasts about, of course, we don't know how Mel's season, as we're recording this, we don't know how his season ends, but, you know, he's struggled a little bit to choose, to declare love.
He hasn't really been able to.
And so Susan asked me, could you have done that if Mel said to both women, look at, I can't choose either one of you.
because I'd need to get to know you better.
Could you have done that with Zach?
Could you have said?
I honestly respect that.
If you don't think you can get there.
And he wanted to continue dating both of you after the show.
That was the question.
Okay.
That's a big difference.
Okay.
Yeah.
Well, you need to pick.
You need to pick which one you want to further, you know, grow your relationship.
You wouldn't.
Okay.
So you wouldn't have been willing with one of, if it was down to two, you and let's say Ariel.
And the show is.
shows over. He says, I can't commit to either one of you. Again, we don't know what Mel did,
but this is just a hypothetical situation. You would, you would send to Zach, no way. You choose
me or you choose Ariel. Otherwise, yeah, I'm not doing this for. Yeah, no. Maybe this is why I'm
you know your girlfriend, right? Okay, Kathy. I asked her this question. She said, no, I'm confident
in myself. He could date both of us after the show until he makes a decision. Because I feel like he would
choose me at the end. There is no way.
yeah yeah that's tough i like after the show it's kind of like you should know by that point
who you want to carry a relationship with okay it's gonna be another show another season all right
well what advice do you have because clearly you you got the guy um you didn't have to share them
with anyone what advice do you have for the couple melons assuming he chose someone coming off the show
Because, you know, getting out of that bubble is a thing.
Oh, my God, is it ever.
I think for us, it really worked for Zach and I just because we truly just wanted to, like,
dive into our relationship further when we could just prance around, go for coffee dates.
How does he treat a server?
Like, what do you like with your friends meeting them?
So I think we, Zach and I just really just wanted to be with each other.
And we didn't let, like, like, press or events or any of that, like, consume our life.
like Zach is pretty much offline. He doesn't love social media. Even like him trying to like when I say
babe, can you get in this TikTok, it's like pulling teeth for him. So now you need us. We'll do that.
Yeah. And honestly, I kind of, I would take that over a man that's like, hey, babe, get a shot of me,
you know, doing bicep curls for my followers. Like, okay, like that's not the guy I can't that's not
the guy I want to be with. So anyways, Zach went back to his normal life. I went back to mine.
I mean, I was a full-time nurse now.
I'm a part-time nurse, and I'm very grateful for that
because we know the emotional and the physical.
Yes, that's a lot.
Yeah, it's a lot.
Paxiness that that can create.
But, yeah, we just went back to our normal lives
and we, you know, the events that we wanted to go to the...
So would your advice be for Mel and whoever to go back to their...
You know, what would your advice be for them?
Yeah, I think just like going back to your regular lives
and like try and mend them together.
I mean, you can get really consumed by...
all of this craziness and I think you should take advantage of some of it but not let it consume your
life like Zach and I are just normal kids if you've got to get to normal show yeah exactly
did you hear what she just said we're just normal kids who fell in love on a TV show
it's so cute all right I have a question for you and we're talking about past seasons out of the
entire franchise is there anybody that you wish that would have been able to make
it to fantasy suites you know what I think everything happens for a reason and I
think no matter what the leads just have to trust their gut but um somebody who
made it further um dang I don't know like a lot of times people will say
but if he chose like in this year's episode of Golden if he had if he kept Debbie or
if he kept so-and-so going through a fantasy suite.
Or if Gary had chosen me?
I don't know how to answer that question.
I know.
I don't really remember.
Well, let me ask you.
That's my next question.
Katie, that's my next question.
How much of a make or break do you think fantasy suites are?
Yeah.
It depends what happens.
I well isn't it when you take your mics off you actually talk as a couple that's when you're not being filmed you really get to know somebody like it's it's hard so in the in those moments yes at fantasy suite week you really have to like you kind of like stay up for like the whole night just okay I want to know that so what is the biggest thing you learned about that you can share the biggest thing you learned the most important thing you learned about Zach in fantasy suites that you didn't know
oh i i learned how clean and organized he was like he had his like shirts laid out on the bed he
had his toothbrush in a specific spot i'm like oh honey i love it i love it but i was like wow
this man is clean like very clean he's neat and organized that's a big plus these little
bag and i'm like i've got shit everywhere sorry if i mean i don't know i say that word but yeah i learned
how organized you when you got to do the fantasy suite when you walked in did you be like finally
nobody's going to hear us it's just me and you did you have that feeling oh yeah more nervous
a little bit of both it was like finally like I can like really show you that I'm like super
goofy and silly because like when cameras were on me I kind of hurtled up a little bit and I was
like oh my god Katie don't say or do the wrong thing don't make yourself look like an idiot
And, like, in the fantasy suite, I was like, all right, here I am.
This is the real me.
Yeah, this is the real me.

day. I was going through a walk in my neighborhood. Out of the blue, I see this huge sign next to
somebody's house. Okay. The sign says, my neighbor is a Karen. Oh, no way. I died laughing. I'm like,
I have to know, you are lying. Humongous, y'all. They had some time on their hands.

And he got down.
And I remember feeling kind of a surge of like, okay, this is power.
Plus, my old friend Gregor and his brother tried to solve my problems through hypnotism.
We could give you a whole brand new thing where you're like super charming all the time.
Being more able to look people in the eye.
Not always hide behind a microphone.

What is the thing that Zach learned about you?
If I asked him, what would he say?
What do you think the thing, the biggest thing he learned about you that he didn't know?
I think you realized how funny I was.
Right.
You are funny.
You are funny.
I'm pretty funny.
But I think, you know what?
It was like three years ago, so it was really hard to remember.
Oh, come on.
I remember bits and pieces of what happened, but I don't know.
Were you nervous?
I mean, if you can't remember, like, I would be nervous.
A lot of the conversation was what had just happened.
And that was the fact that he did, he was intimate with Gabby.
And we were talking about, you know, he was, he was owning up.
He was apologizing.
He was, we were just diving into communication, our communication styles.
We also learned that about each other too.
and how we deal with conflict, how are we going to find a resolution?
I think that was, like, really important for us to go through,
throw, go through, sorry, because we're used to how were you supposed to know?
How did you know that he had slept with Gabby?
She asked.
Well, no, I actually, I actually just knew, um, because we, okay,
when you're on the show, you, you gain these friendships with the girls more than you do
the lead.
I spend more time with Ariel and Gabby.
and I was very aware of what certain people needed in order to progress and I was fully aware
of what was most likely going to happen nobody told me who it was I pieced it together
myself nobody had to tell me but she was in the fantasies how many were in the fantasy suites
three of us so I'm saying you did the other one I mean I'm trying to figure out how you knew
because you don't see the other women right I just knew based on
how our friendships.
I mean, he talked to each other.
Like, even when, like, producers were, like, go to bed.
It was, like, Ariel Gabby and I would, like, go into a hotel room together and just.
And talk to it.
Yeah.
You knew.
I knew.
I knew.
And.
Well, clearly it was not a, it was not a, it was not a, uh, him being intimate with
someone else clearly was not a make it or break it for you in the fantasy suite.
No, not at all.
But that's the time that you really.
I felt humiliated and I also was like, oh, wow, okay, our relationship isn't as strong as I thought it was.
But Zach and I talked a lot during that time that we had off cameras and I just like, I got some more clarity.
I got more insight into who he is as a man.
And at the end of the day, he's an incredible man.
Yeah.
I could see that off the show within like the first time I ever met him.
met him, I was like, wow, this man is genuine. He's sweet. He's kind. Like, it's everything you
would want. So, so did you know at the end of the fantasy suites? How confident were you that you
were the one? Because I was, I wasn't confident. You weren't. But I was confident in what I could
bring to the table. Like, I was just, I was like, if it's not me, I'll be okay. It's going to
hurt. But I will be okay, no matter what. And if it is me, then,
And he's going to be the happiest man alive for the rest of his life.
Yeah, and he is.
And he is.
That's right.
You know, like I said, that's why I'm so excited to see the end with Mel,
because he's got these two women that seemingly he could love both of them or grow to love
both of them or grow to love neither of them.
But I just wonder, you know, listen, the day I end up in a fantasy suite, you can expect
the stock market to go to zero, you know, to snow in the middle of July.
So, you know, keep that in mind.
But I would say that I would say that I, I can't imagine leaving there and not feeling like you were the one.
Yeah, feeling.
Do they give you, they give you any hopeful, that's what I'm thinking.
Yes.
You have to be able to share.
Yeah, there was a moment.
I think it was our like last chance date.
And the, I don't know if the cameras picked up on this because I think it.
They have to be in a certain radius in order to pick up your mic.
Anyways, they had like shot down.
They were like already walking to the waterfall.
And I turned to Zach and I'm like, I can't do this anymore.
Like this.
I was like, this is crazy.
Like, if it's not me, I want to go home.
Like I genuinely do.
Tell me now.
Yeah.
And he was like, he basically muttered to me.
Don't leave.
He said what?
It will be worth it.
Oh, I'm so jealous.
Zach, I love you.
I love you.
All right.
Well, before we move on, we got to know, how do you feel about Taylor, Frankie
Paul being the Bachelorette?
I think it's going to be a crazy, crazy good season.
I'm dialed in.
All the girls that, like, I run into, they're like, Katie, are you going to watch?
I was like, oh, yeah.
I'll host some parties.
I want to come.
I want to come.
Yes.
What are you expecting?
Are you expecting drama?
Are you expecting?
I think they're a little bit older in her cast,
like nice looking men from what I've seen.
I'm hoping.
I'm thinking they've got a good cast for sure.
I mean,
she's a beautiful woman.
So.
Yes.
Beautiful woman.
So they need to think about the idea that she is,
you know,
she was not plucked from obscurity.
She has a huge following and she has children.
How do you think that's going to affect the franchise's decision to bring her in?
How do you think that whole thing is going to fly?
I think it'll be.
amazing i don't i don't think we've had a lead before that's had kids kids this is the first i believe
yeah no no no no no somebody no no he no they married yeah emily maynard maybe oh okay that was a while
ago okay but she had one she had one child i think it'll be awesome i think it'll be really good and
just giving her background the fact that she has kids i think it's going to be a great season and i genuinely
think we're going to see a good love story come from it
Us. We need a good love story. I hope Mel's ends with a good love story, at least a like story.
Hey, this sounds interesting. Can I get on this bandwagon? I hope my story ends with a good love story. I hope Susan ends with a good love story. We all want good love stories.
Kathy, we're going to find you a good man. Don't you worry. We're hoping. We are open.
Oh, God. All right, Katie. Now, we've got to ask you tons of questions, which we've got to ask you tons of questions, which we
We love doing, and we're going to open the floor up to you.
All righty.
Do you have anything question-wise or comment-wise for Kathy and I?
Yes, Susan, I want to hear about your new relationship.
Oh, yes.
He's French.
He's far away.
I adore him.
He's a good man.
But it's not easy with the distance.
He was here for a month, and I really enjoyed every minute of it.
The last few days, I think I was ready
because I'm so used to being on my own
to have somebody in the home
and he's not as neat as Zach.
Oh, okay.
I got you.
So I'm constantly going behind him
because I'm a freak.
So, yeah, but he's good people.
Okay, good, good.
And Kathy, what about you?
What's your love life looking like?
You're watching it.
I'm looking at your puppy dog thinking,
you know your puppy dog has a better love life than I have the way you're patting and loving on
that dog I'm like yep okay I need to get a dog is that's a new puppy that's honey she's a year
and a half old last last September and she's the sweetest little girl ever she's so sweet so sweet
yeah no I don't have a love life but you know I'm the eternal optimist I'm a hopeful romantic I'm all
this things and I still feel right you're up for dating I'm open for dating I'm open for
up for dating, but, you know, in fact, Katie, at your party, you know, I'm going to, I'm going to
hang out at the bar and, or hang out on the street or whatever and see who, you know, who's around.
Because I'm figuring if people, if it gets out that a lot of Bachelor Nation people are going to be
there, you know, you never know. You meet someone in the strangest of ways, right?
When the time is right, it'll happen. That's right. Everybody wants to have you, like you're
happy ending. That's what the show is about, really finding love and your absolute proof that it
does work. Yeah. Thank you. And I will tell you, Zach, I've seen you, just for anyone, I've been out to dinner
with Zach and Katie, they've been to my home. They are everything that you're hearing out of Katie's
mouth. He is that wonderful guy. She is, Katie, you are incredibly funny and just as kind as your
husband. And honey, your sweet little pup is lucky.
you to have you as parents just so you know and she knows how to conduct a tic-tok remember the one we
did at kathy's house yeah that went viral that was awesome we got to do that again and then being at the
concert i sat with zach listening to the music you were out and about and talking and he is such
a sweetheart he's just easy to be near he really and he's kind and he laughs of course i made him laugh
but who's the more outgoing of you too it's you isn't it katie what's that are you the more outgoing
of the two of you yes i would yeah i would say so but he's he's outgoing in in other ways as well
like i would say i definitely have more like in your face personality and he's not so much
he's funny though he is yeah he's funny he's got a good sense to humor all i can tell is i'm getting
ready for that pickleball contest and you know i did win the one on the gold
and Bachelor.
So just get ready.
Kathy don't drink much the night before.
Oh, no.
She's going to win.
All right.
Well, listen, we hate to eat and run, as I say.
But this has been so much fun.
Really, Katie, thank you for coming on to the podcast.
I love you.
I can't wait to see you soon.
It's always so great to chat with you.
Always.
Oh, thank you.
I have a great time with you guys.
Have a great party, girlfriend.
Thank you.
Are you going to wear your wedding gown?
Are you, how are you dressing for this?
I have like a new little cocktail wedding dress.
Nice.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I know.
Pictures, Kathy.
I want to see.
Wait, yeah.
You didn't even tell me what the dress is for this thing.
It's like a short, sparkly cocktail dress.
Is it like black tie optional, the party or?
It's like elevated cocktail attire.
Oh, that's black tie.
Okay.
Yeah.
I got the dress.
I just bought it with Susan.
When all the girls were here, I got the dress.
All right, we're good to go.
