We're here today. We are back to talk about the newest episode of the Golden Bachelor and there is so much to discuss. I got to start. We don't know where to start.
Starting point is 00:03:27 let's just say bachelor's nation Susan and I are not happy today we are not happy after watch that might be the understatement of the year but I got to say the intro when Robin you see her saying self-serving self-promotion
Starting point is 00:03:41 she's not honest I'm just going to let you jump in because we are talking about first things first year let's talk about what we both think about our friend to be Nicole should we start with her
Starting point is 00:03:54 and with her because she might take the whole podcast Oh, no, I got other things. You go. Go jump in. Let me start with, oh, my goodness, Nicole. Seriously. She's sitting there whispering about not dating Mel, but she's dating everyone in America, those that are watching and aren't watching.
Starting point is 00:04:13 It's about exposure. Then she sits down and tells the girls everything. And one thing she said... She admits to be wanting to be an influencer. Don't forget that. Obviously. And I am going to confront her when I'm... meet her about how pretty they all are, but we weren't so great looking on our show. Really, Nicole? Okay, so go ahead. Why would you say something like that? I mean, obviously, you are there
Starting point is 00:04:44 for the wrong reasons, okay? So Bachelor has a phrase, right? Coming, doing these things for being there for the right reasons and being there for the wrong reasons. I have a medal that I want to give to Nicole. says, you are there for all the wrong reasons. We're going to put it around her neck. And Nicole, it is the first annual, but we may have to retire it with you. Just retire. It's yours. Kathy, how about when she presented the lemon bars and took all the credit.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Okay, but wait, let's, let's, again, here's my problem with Nicole. I'm sure she's lovely. And I'll tell you why I say that. women should support women and that is my problem as a golden myself and as a golden who was on the golden bachelor i have a real problem with a woman any woman who's part of our tribe part of the bachelor family sane pejorative negative things about those of us who were on the show and that all of the comments that came out of her mouth tell me i'm sure she's like a lovely person. But the fact is
Starting point is 00:05:56 it is not supportive to women. And that's what I really struggle with. And to bold face lie, everyone, we saw everybody working on the lemon bars in the kitchen. And honestly, she's full of shit. Well, Nicole.
Starting point is 00:06:14 I'm going to give her a little bit of grace here. You don't think that was a lie that she did all the work and it made it with the secret ingredient. No. I, yeah. Well, it is good TV. Let's be And to the extent that she's trying to get Mel's attention, you know, all's fair and love and war. I mean, I'm not, the behavior I have an issue with is being critical of other women and saying we didn't look as good. I think that sends the wrong message to people of our age. And that's what I don't like.
Starting point is 00:06:47 And what do you look like? What you're showing America, this is who I am. I don't think that's very attractive. Beauty goes way further than a look. Well, that's what I just said. I'm sure I might like you, Nicole, when I meet you, and I might not. Because if this is the person. Susan's 100% Italian.
Starting point is 00:07:09 And if she doesn't like you, you might just want to call in sick. Just all the bullshit and just playing a part to get somewhere is not what the Bachelor franchise stands for. This is supposed to be about love. It's not only about love, Susan. That's where you and I disagree. I don't think, I think it is the framework. We all want people to fall in love. We all, hopefully there's a wedding at the end.
Starting point is 00:07:40 But I think it's about making friendships and connections. Absolutely, yes, yes, yes. But if you're standing there bullshit and then calling everybody, they didn't do anything, it's all me. She's trying to shine. I think it's not attractive to me. I think you're saying it, disingenuous. She's not being genuine to him.
Starting point is 00:07:56 How many, how many? Oh no, when they walked away together and she goes, we are going to make good TV. What? Well, and guess what, Susan? She's got to push. She's going to make really good TV. Here's the question. Do you want to make really good TV and maybe make a lot of enemies or is, you know, is there no, is bad press still good press? I mean, whatever. I just have a problem with calling out women of a certain age because we don't look the way they looked. Some of us did, some of us didn't. So I have a problem with that.
Starting point is 00:08:30 I want to talk about the photo shoot. I enjoyed that photo shoot. I loved when Cindy was rolling and they were all looking, but I couldn't help Debbie's face look so hurt. I mean... Okay, so let's talk about that. I would love nothing more. Cindy and Mel rolling around on that beach.
Starting point is 00:08:47 shielded fabulous in the bathing suit who wouldn't want to be with their guy rolling on a beach making out in the golden hour in the afternoon whatever of course it's TV so of course there's a camera crew watching and filming I mean the women watching
Starting point is 00:09:03 again it's TV so of course they're going to have them watching so they can drool and say I wish it was me you know I get that but that to me was like a lovely show of their love is growing and and I liked seeing that.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Do you like me as much as I like you and he whispered back? That was so cute. She's just adorable. The other photo shoot was Debbie as a beach bride. Given the fact that Debbie has never been married, I thought that was very sweet. It brought me back, though, to our season where Nancy was crying because she hadn't been in a wedding gown since her wedding. People really struggled with those wedding gowns. In this case, I was like, oh, about to.
Starting point is 00:09:47 nation, you got this one so right. First of all, it wasn't really a wedding dress. It was a white slip dress, kind of sexy, very pretty. Debbie's never been married. I thought, this is sweet. You know, it could be, who knows how it ends up. It could be Debbie and Mel having a beach wedding. I thought that was a sweet, sweet moment. I love that. Let's talk about our Mel for a second. First of all. I get it. He wants to kiss every single one of them. I disagree. Well, I would want to kiss somebody before I want to know any of them. I don't think he wants to kiss any of them.
Starting point is 00:10:24 I'm not talking about the kiss, but just the fact that he is kissing, okay? And some of the things that he says afterward, he really loved that Nicole was all about him. What man doesn't want to have it all about them? Well, this is true. This is true. I mean, that's, you know, men think with, they have two heads and usually the thinking with the smaller of the All I know is what I've been told, and that's a half-truth is a whole lie. For almost a decade, the murder of an 18-year-old girl from a small town in Graves County, Kentucky, went unsolved, until a local homemaker, a journalist, and a handful of girls, came forward with a story.
Starting point is 00:11:15 I'm telling you, we know Quincy Kilder, we know. A story that law enforcement used to convict six people, and that got the citizen investigator on national TV. Through sheer persistence and nerve, this Kentucky housewife helped give justice to Jessica Curran. My name is Maggie Freeling. I'm a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, producer, and I wouldn't be here if the truth were that easy to find.
Starting point is 00:11:43 I did not know her and I did not kill her Or rape or burn or any of that other stuff that y'all said it They literally made me say that I took a match and struck and threw it on her They made me say that I poured gas on her From Lava for Good This is Graves County A show about just how far Our legal system will go
Starting point is 00:12:05 In order to find someone to blame America y'all better work the hell up Bad things happens to good people and small towns. Listen to Graves County in the Bone Valley feed on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And to binge the entire season ad-free, subscribe to Lava for Good Plus on Apple Podcasts. race to track down the gang they suspect of importing millions of dollars worth of heroin into
Starting point is 00:12:48 New York from Asia. We had 30 agents ready to go with shotguns and rifles and you name it. But what they find is not what they expected. Basically, your stay-at-home moms were picking up these large amounts of heroin. They go, is this your daughter? I said yes. They go, oh, you may not see her for like 25 years. caught between a federal investigation and the violent gang who recruited them, the women must decide who they're willing to protect
Starting point is 00:13:21 and who they dare to betray. Once I saw the gun, I tried to take his hand and I saw the flash of light. Listen to the Chinatown Sting on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or anywhere you get your podcasts. Nobody had to tell your, grandparents not to drive while using their typewriters.
Starting point is 00:13:44 Why should it be any different for us kids and our cell phones? Distracted driving was the cause of more than 3,000 deaths in 2022. Come on, we're smarter than this. Let's put down the phones and focus on the roads. Drive safe, everybody. Don't drive distracted. A message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Project Yellow Light, and the Ad Council.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Hey, sis, what if I could promise you you never had to listen to a condescending finance, bro, tell you how to manage your money again. Welcome to Brown Ambition. This is the hard part when you pay down those credit cards. If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards, you may just recreate the same problem a year from now. When you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates, I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan, starting with your local credit union, shopping around online, looking for some online lenders because they tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable. Listen, I am not here to judge. It is so expensive in these streets.
Starting point is 00:14:46 I 100% can see how in just a few months you can have this much credit card debt when it weighs on you. It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand. It's nice and dark in the sand. Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding it. And in fact, it may get even worse. For more judgment-free money advice, listen to Brown Ambition on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up, everybody?
Starting point is 00:15:10 This is Snacks from the Trabner's podcast, and we're bringing you the horror every week all October long. Kicking up this month, I'll be bringing you all my greatest fear-inducing horror games from Resident Evil to Silent Hill, me and Tony Bringing Back Fire Team on Left of Dead 2, and we're just going to be going over some of the greats. Also in October, we'll be talking about our favorite horror
Starting point is 00:15:30 and Halloween movie, and figure out why black people always got to die first. The Umbril Relequiry invites any, and all fooling, brave enough to peruse its many curiosities. But take heed, all sales are final. Weekly horror side quests written and narrated by yours truly. With a full episode read and a commentary special. And we will cap it off with horror movie battle royale.
Starting point is 00:15:56 Jason versus Freddie. Michael Myers versus the 80th thing with the little tongue muster. October, we're doing it Halloween style. Listen to the trapners podcast from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHard Radio or Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcast. We got to talk about, we've, the group date when he said, hey, girls, I literally threw my straw at the TV and said, hey girls, you know, come on, they're women. I want to talk, though, about, so I think we've covered how we, how we both feel about Nicole.
Starting point is 00:16:31 I can't wait to meet her. I'm going to, I'm just going to go with women supporting women. she said it maybe was taken out of context i loved robin showed a lot of class that she was the one that said to mel not everyone's here for the right reason and she didn't mention any names that kept and then she went home yes so you know what was she smart i don't know i again you think that's why he sent her home because i have no idea i was not there but i just am making a connection she she said I'm sure you're on them. But here, I don't, I just have to be honest, one more thing about Nicole, I don't see them together. I think, Mel to me looks a little bit like a deer in the headlights.
Starting point is 00:17:17 A little bit? Well, he doesn't seem, I want to get into the date with Peg, and this is my preamble for his one-on-one with Peg. Oh, I loved it. Okay, go ahead. Okay, well, here's my preamble on it. I think that, for whatever reason, he is uncomfortable. I watch body, language. When he's hugging them or kiss him, he's sort of looking away, looking out. He doesn't really, except with Cindy on the surf making out session. He seems to be into that, no pun intended. He sucks face with Nicole real well, too. Yeah, but we can't really see his face when he's sucking face with Nicole. But the other women, when he's kissing them, his eyes are open. He seems stiff. I don't know what that's about. I'm not condemning him for it. I'm just, when a man kisses me,
Starting point is 00:18:01 and especially at our age, come on, we know how to kiss. So I just found the lot. So that brings me to the one-on-one with Peg at the O.C. For those of you don't know, O.C. Fair is the Orange County Fair. And she loved it. She was so fun. She's so fun. He talks about her high energy.
Starting point is 00:18:22 She says she wants a strong man. I watch that. Peg reminds me of me in some ways. You took the words right out of my mouth. Yeah. She does that a lot, you know. Rip them right out. Were you really going to say you thought I like that?
Starting point is 00:18:37 She reminded me of me because she was excitable and hyper and she was winning the games. Though she was a better athlete than I am. That part could be you because she won everything. And I love that. She said, well, you accept this bear or whatever it was. Yeah. And he said, we accept this monkey, very cute. However, did you notice the awkwardness when she like put her on that, as they used to call it,
Starting point is 00:18:59 the pregnant pause right like you think he's going to lean in and he doesn't i didn't see i go back and watch susan he's she's kind of encouraging him we're women we know how to do that right she sort of puts her arm on him she's leaning in he's not leaning in he says i love her energy um he loves that she's herself yeah herself but i don't see him i see him having a good to me it looks like he's having a good time with a peg seems like a lot of fun. A good friend at the fair. She was singing to him when they wanted to see Casey in the sunshine.
Starting point is 00:19:36 I know. I think he warned up to her then. What did you just say? What did you just say? Casey in the sunshine? She was singing to him. He's looking at her like. Well, she knew the words, Kathy.
Starting point is 00:19:45 He didn't. No, my point is he's looking at her like, yeah, are you having fun? Like, I don't see him, you know, putting his arms around or snuggling into her, kissing her during the music. Yeah, he pulled her in. He pulled her in.
Starting point is 00:19:59 I think that's Mel. I don't think he's the forward. He's waiting for them to come to him because he's sitting back and he's trying all the flavors until he makes his decision. We're almost halfway through the show. And I don't, other than Cindy, other than Cindy and that makeout session, I'm not, I want to see him. I think Peg is a blast. I keep trying to want her head of hair. If I'm being honest, I want her head of hair and I want her cleavage.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Okay? That's, I've said it. But she seems like a blast, but I just don't see him engaging at the same level she is. And have you seen him engage at any of the other woman's level? No, that's why I say to you, it may just be him. That's what I'm thinking. He seems a little stiff, almost like he doesn't know how to proceed, which I find interesting, given that he was a, an NFL player so he definitely was in the public eye now he's a sports attorney so he's he's used to
Starting point is 00:21:02 being around people yet I feel like he's a little I feel like he needs us Susan here's the deal now you need Susan and me to come and give you the Susan and Kathy primer the golden men we really do I mean I mean I guess that's what I'm saying um you know he said that I don't see him being um as vulnerable I guess is what I would like um and to your point where the show is about finding love that obviously is one of the main points i'm not it should be i'm not seeing him being as vulnerable as i would like i don't think he he got hit with the the heartache yet he hasn't attached himself he i don't see that's what i'm agreeing he's not really falling in love yet for us to what we're viewing maybe something secret is
Starting point is 00:21:56 inside and he has a good way of hiding it, but he's just going with the flow. The women are doing everything, but that's also part of the show. You've got to show him. And I noticed a lot of them are starting to open up. They're starting to tell them. I'm getting feelings for you. Yeah. And so on. Two things that I wrote down about Peg, I agree with everything you just said. Mel Cedra, which it's the things that I hear in the TV, and you're right, we don't see all. But when Mel said to her, I can't get in the way of your fun. I felt like you're going to laugh. I felt like it was two toddlers with parallel play. And she was the toddler having fun. It's like he said, I don't want to get in the way of your fun. I thought that was so like
Starting point is 00:22:44 it's about a one-on-one date to see if you have a connection. But he's saying, I don't want to get in a way of your fun. Like that's not to me. Well, I think Peg was definitely the aggressor and I loved every minute of it when she was at the concert singing and she pulled him into dance. You know, like, let's go, Mel, let's go. Show me something, Mel. What do you got? Well, I'm waiting to see it. I mean, I did say, but is he boring?
Starting point is 00:23:09 Is that it? Maybe he's uncomfortable because he is on national TV and microphones are everywhere, you know, and he's dating. Maybe. But you think he'd be used to it by now. I think it was Peg who said, it's another of these overarching themes for me this season. She said she felt safe with him. Yes, you do.
Starting point is 00:23:34 And I just keep thinking, I don't know where that's necessarily coming from because I'm just being honest. I haven't met Mel. I want to meet him. I'm sure, you know, I'll love him to pieces. If I were dating him, if I were on that one-on-one date, and I have that outgoing personality, I want a guy who puts his arm around me who tells me how glad he is that we have this time I want him to kiss me
Starting point is 00:23:59 I want the I sound like Susan Knowles here I want those romantic aspects and I'm getting like I said two toddlers It's hard to get a romantic aspect on the boardwalk I mean at the fair You know what I mean? When they're behind the music at the Well that's yes
Starting point is 00:24:17 I'm saying there could have been this romantic I don't know I'm not feeling it I'm not seeing it Have you seen something that you're feeling with him with somebody else? Have you seen? The only person I am, I mean, I think, I think, Cindy and Debbie. Cindy for sure. I just, I just feel that and seen him make out with her in the, you know, I like you as much as you like me. I think that Carol, I think he's intrigued by Carol's shyness.
Starting point is 00:24:49 You know, I think he, or maybe he just feels, you know, simpatico, maybe because that's, maybe that's the way he is. And there are things in common with the sports and such, yes. I think that he likes Debbie just, I think that he thinks she's sweet, you know. I think. And Cheryl. And they're the one, Cheryl. I mean, that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:25:08 I see four, five, six women. Jerry, like, I was surprised. Look, should we get to the rose part of this? Did you guess, did you have a feeling who was going to? believe. Wait, I kind of did last night. Yes, I did. Wait, one of the thing that Debbie said to him, and I love, you know, I don't know, again,
Starting point is 00:25:29 I don't know why, can you just say overarching theme again? Did you find it, I found it extremely interesting in this day and age where we all see color, let's be clear, we, you and I walk with that white backpack of privilege. You know, I shouldn't speak for you, but I certainly do. I would date a black man. I, you know, my kids have dated interracially. I don't have a problem with it. But that is certainly something that is newer to generations preceding us.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Would you agree? Yes, I do. Okay. So when Debbie brings up the fact that Mel's dad was black or half black, whatever, and asks him about his mom, I found that, I wanted to celebrate that. Like I want Boucher to celebrate different... Because there isn't anything wrong with it, but just having it out loud, spoken out loud. Yeah, but as opposed to just slide into a conversation. I don't know what.
Starting point is 00:26:29 I just, I love that. I love the fact that that came out. I also love the fact that when he was in some serious conversations that he shared, that his wife was about to get married, he wanted to go to the wedding. And they were, who was it he was talking to at that point? It was either Debbie Carroll, one of them. But that's what I say. And then, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Cindy telling him he wants to be chosen. I just feel like we're hearing the same things over and over again. And I'm feeling I'm feeling I'm feeling that's the deal, right? We're four weeks now. You've got to start telling them how you feel. You know how it goes. You got to put yourself out there and let him know. I am interested.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Yeah. Where you and I and Gary, you know, we were becoming friends. and we had friendships all over the house. I see some friendships forming there. And as the women left, they were all about that, which was beautiful. But it's totally different than our season again. You've said it 100 times and you're not wrong. When I just, there's these one-liners that to me, it's like you just hear the one-liners
Starting point is 00:27:38 and that tells how I feel about this show. Do you remember yours? There was a lot of them. Mel says each one of them deserves love. It's almost like he's talking in third person. Like, no, Mel, you're the guy that's supposed to fall in love with one of them. So I'm glad that each of them deserves loves. Mel, find one and pick her.
Starting point is 00:28:05 And when you come into the room and you say, my future wife is in this room, I want you to feel it when you say it. You're not convincing me at all. Or, Kathy, maybe we are so off the chart. Maybe he picks nobody. Maybe he's not. Maybe he's not ready. Okay, Susan, here's the primer for Mel.
Starting point is 00:28:27 Let's see. Mel, if you're listening, close your eyes when you kiss a woman. Do not look into the wild frontier, to the sunset, across the lake. Keep your eyes on your girl. Put your arm around her. Bring her in for a kiss. Hold her face and look in her eyes. Her eyes.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Feeling meaning, but maybe he's not feeling. So. Okay, but try to find it, Mel. And you know what? If you really are feeling excited, you know, touch her ass, you know, bring her in for a good hug. I mean, come on. Do we really have to teach him? All I know is what I've been told. And that's a half truth is a whole lie. For almost a decade, the murder of an 18-year-old girl from a small town in gravesk. County, Kentucky went unsolved, until a local homemaker, a journalist, and a handful of girls came forward with a story. I'm telling you, we know Quincy Kilder, we know. Starting point is 00:30:01 They made me say that I poured gas on her. From Lava for Good, this is Graves County, a show about just how far our legal system will go in order to find someone to blame. In early 1988, federal agents raced to track down the gang they suspect of importing millions of dollars worth of heroin into New York from Asia. We had 30 agents ready to go with shotguns and rifles and you name it. But what they find is not what they expected. Basically, your stay-at-home moms were picking up these large amounts of heroin. They go, is this your daughter? I said yes.
Starting point is 00:31:14 They go, oh, you may not see her for like 25 years. Caught between a federal investigation and the violent gang who recruited them, the women must decide who they're willing to protect and who they dare to betray. Once I saw the gun, I tried to take his hand and I saw the flash of light. The types of symptoms that people talk about is forgetting everything, I never used to forget things. They're concerned that, one, they have dementia, and the other one is, do I have ADHD? Starting point is 00:34:19 Let's talk about the good women that went home. Jerry, who I love. And I think they had a good relationship. Well, so Robin, I think he, Robin is a strong woman. She's been on our podcast. She is a strong, independent, successful woman. And Susan, I hate to say it. If Mel is, quote, unquote, afraid of her, if she's too much for him, you know what I'm going to say, he's just not enough for her.
Starting point is 00:34:49 I think Robin's fabulous. I do too. So that didn't surprise me. She went home. Jerry, I think they get along well, but I just don't think he felt any romantic, you know. No, but the good news for Jerry, as you know, we had her on a podcast, and she has embraced her own life again. Right. Like she's ready.
Starting point is 00:35:08 And it did that for her. so she's happy. Yes, and in fact, that was in my notes when she said that. At the end, she reminds me of you in that way. She's embracing her own life. She's a happy girl. So I love that. Robin, sorry, Roxanne getting cut.
Starting point is 00:35:28 One of my hometown girls from Austin, I don't know Roxanne. Obviously, I haven't met. Well, I met her when we did the pajama party, but I mean, I don't know her. But my guess is from me. her and seeing her, I don't think Roxanne jumped into the game enough. And by the game, I mean, that's my sense. And that's another personality trait. Like if you're not a forward person and you're uncomfortable, like Carol talks that she's not and she gets, you know, tongue tight and all, but she's up there. She's doing it. You know, she's making herself do it where I didn't see a lot
Starting point is 00:36:05 for her. That's the thing. We didn't see it with Roxanne. But I, But just Roxanne's demeanor, so, I mean, I think, I think, you know, the train's leaving the station for Mel, right? He's down to, what, six women now? Yes. And Kathy, all I could think about last night was Teresa and Leslie after the hometowns and the crying and that feeling. And I see, I could be wrong. Oh. Debbie and Cindy.
Starting point is 00:36:38 what crying somebody's going to be crushed oh i i i don't know i mean we're not there yet we're not there yet um debby i i i mean i don't know i i feel like i'm not getting the sense from mel uh debby to me is is a we don't know i mean again i look at this as as a woman of as a golden woman honestly I have a hard time fitting her into the puzzle of the show only because there's very few women I think on our show we had more widow
Starting point is 00:37:20 we had I think one or two that had never been married and Debbie never having been married that is a hard for me not a hard not impossible but a hard square peg to put to a round hole. It can be done, but it's going to, you're going to have to file off some of those edges, right? What's the old saying when you meet a guy and you hear he's never been married? I run. I run. Exactly. My point. I told you that. I dated. I mean, I wouldn't blame
Starting point is 00:37:50 Mel for that because if you've put your career in your own life first, again, I'm saying this is not a contestant. No, no, no. Right. If you have put yourself first your entire life, and you don't have children you know you don't have a spouse or a partner or whatever you're not going to share very well you're not going to be willing to compromise
Starting point is 00:38:13 because you've never had to I'm not sure well I know I wouldn't I told you you know this I did one guy who had never been married and boy did I learn my lesson so I wouldn't blame Mel
Starting point is 00:38:27 for if that doesn't go to the end I think that is a hard deal to make but you get to know the person and she's a beautiful person oh no it's nothing against debby so you feel like she'll never get anybody because she hadn't tried it because she's never been married again i don't have enough information i know that she was very career driven uh but i know i know lots of people my daughter's career driven uh she's she's married i don't i don't i think there's more of the story is all i'm saying and i think she's beautiful and lovely and looked damn hot
Starting point is 00:39:04 in that white beach. My gosh. And I was so happy when he called her name first. It was like, she breathed, you know what I mean? And Cindy and so on. I think it's, I think it, like I said, I'm struggling because more because
Starting point is 00:39:19 I want everyone to find love. I want Goldens. I want the world to see that Goldens can meet and fall in love, whether it's on national TV in the grocery store, on a dating app, And so I want this for Mel, and I want it for one of the women, and I want it for me. So it's, you know, I'm rooting them on as I'm downing ice cream and throwing straws at the TV.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Come on, Mel. Can I tell you what I did last night with that comment that Nicole make, I still can't get past it. What were ugly? I went and looked at our group photo when our show started. We were all in Black, very sophisticated, classy, and then their group photo is how I really dress in bright colors. Every single one of them had long hair. They look younger than our crew, but not better. Well, hey, I so agree with you.
Starting point is 00:40:13 I don't think, listen, you know what? I kind of want to do, Susan. I kind of want to lose 15 pounds. Please, Kathy, you'll be invisible. That is just disgusting. You know, let me finish. Let me finish. Wear a bikini, which means I need a tummy tuck.
Starting point is 00:40:28 I need you to put hair extensions in. and, I don't know, get stiletto heels and say, hey, can I be one of you now? No, a lot of them, that's their hair, and some of them had extensions, I give it. A lot of them had extensions. But it's what they cast it. That's what they looked for this time. But see, I'm not against it. Are you again?
Starting point is 00:40:47 No, I'm not against it at all. I think they look great. And that's what I'm saying. It's not better or worse than us. I'm making jokes when I say, you know, I want to be one of them. I mean, I just want our golden group and their golden group. I want people. We're all one big family now.
Starting point is 00:41:06 Yeah. And I am and continue to be a hopeful romantic. And so I think that's why, just to close this out, I think that's why you and I are struggling a little bit with this because you and I really do believe in love, not for each other. But we love each other. Yes, we know what I'm saying. And so we want the behavior to reflect that. We want positive behavior models.
Starting point is 00:41:33 That's what I'm saying. You know how they tease you for next week's episode. Yeah. Keep talking. What are your thoughts, Kat? Well, what specifically are you asking about? I mean, I was just dumbfound that I couldn't get past Nicole. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:41:47 I just can't. Nicole, I can't wait to meet you in person. I really can't. I mean, I think next, you know, I don't want to, I don't, I think. I'm looking forward to next week I want to see I but I'm really hoping that Mel really does
Starting point is 00:42:04 that we start to feel it show me more I want to see that kiss where I believe that he's falling in love that he's not saying you all deserve love as if there's some guy in the wings that's coming out in 10 minutes I want to believe it of him when he's with each woman and he says the right things and afterwards in the little interview part
Starting point is 00:42:24 he says positive things, but I just don't feel it. Right. And maybe that's his personality. We might be way off base. Maybe that's just who he is, and he is feeling it. I'm hoping. Yeah. Well, all I can say is next week, we're nearing in on halfway.
Starting point is 00:42:41 I think we're there, actually. Wait, no, after we have one more Roe Cermin, and then it's hometowns, right? Right. That's what I'm saying. The season is before we know it, it's going to be over. And I can't wait to see what next week brings. I just need to Before I watch next week's season
Starting point is 00:42:58 I'm telling you right now I'm getting rid of every ice cream I don't eat ice cream I was so frustrated last night I literally What frustrated at you because his kisses weren't sincere and he was looking around You don't think it was nerves
Starting point is 00:43:11 You're feeling something off I'm just telling you I feel like I'm not feeling it So I ate my feelings That's what I did I eat my feelings Last day with ice cream I ate my feelings Thanks a lot Mel I gained five pounds and it's your fault
Starting point is 00:43:24 And Nicole, it's me and you, babe. I-da-I. With that, Ken Hardly wait for next week. Yep. And thank you all for tuning in. And you know what? I love you people that definitely send me feedback every week. I mean, I have a best friend out there.
Starting point is 00:43:39 She details everything we say. Kathy, and it's to both of us, of course. But I love her input. And guess what? 99% of the time she agrees with us. I love that. Yes. right? That never happens.
Starting point is 00:43:55 Yeah. But we want to know what you guys think. We really do. Yeah, let us know. Until next week. The murder of an 18-year-old girl in Graves County, Kentucky, went unsolved for years, until a local housewife, a journalist, and a handful of girls came forward with a story.
