This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind, and nobody's
telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo, and every episode,
we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the biggest moments in sports and giving you
the real story behind the headline. And we're going straight to the source, the athletes themselves,
their locker room stories, their reactions in the moment, and the stuff nobody gets to hear.

Hey, everyone, it's Ryder Strong and Wilfridel from PodMeets World.
And now the PodMeets Twirled podcast.
We're two men who were completely clueless to reality TV, and we're gearing up for the season finale of Survivor.
I know we annoyed a lot of our listeners by our severe lack of survivor knowledge.
That is the point of the show.
I'm just going to remind you.
Again, we are experts.

Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans.
I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
You can have opinions.
You can have like a strong stance.
And then there's your body having its own program.

The story I've told myself can then shape my behavior and that can lead me to sabotage the possibility.

Welcome back to Golden Hour.
I'm Kathy.
And I'm Susan.
And I'm so happy to be back.
How are you, Kathy?
I'm great.
I missed you.
I missed you.
I know you were in a foreign land having a great time, but I missed you.
I missed someone to disagree with.
I missed us giving advice and us arguing over it.
So I'm glad you're back and we can get back into life as it was.
Trust me.
I've missed it as well.
I kept thinking, what am I missing?
What am I missing?
And where I was, the food was terrible.
I'm just telling you.
It always comes down to food with you.
Well, I'm a foodie.
What can I say?
Oh, my God.
I enjoy food.
No, you don't enjoy all food.
You enjoy the food you prepare.
No, I like to go out.
Oh, no, no, no.
I like to go out.
I like to try different things too.
Do you like Brazilian food, Thai food?
Do you like all different cuisines?
Not all of them.
There you go.
What's your favorite cuisine?
I'm going to go with Italian.
Not necessarily.
I like a good.
good steak. Of course you do. I do. Tie to me, I like tie. It seems mild, boring. Like,
just maybe I haven't had the right tie. I'd like to be with people that, that will specialize
in some food group and show me the best of that. Yeah, I just don't care. That I'm willing to do.
Yeah. I mean, I don't care. I just, although, can I tell you, when I was in the hospital while you
were gone.
The food in the hospital, I was, I said, you're going to tell me it was good, Kath?
I'm going to cry.
It was good.
I was like, this is great.
Can I come here and eat three meals a day?
I mean, the only thing that was a little not so great was the asparagus, you know?
Was it mushy?
No, it was too big.
It was too thick.
I like those thin spears.
But, you know, I was like the chicken was good.
The eggs, I had an omelet.
I was like, you know what?
I'm forget going to the penhouse at the Ritz.
I'm just going to go hang out in the hospital cafeteria.
You have the hospital food.
I'll be the one at the Ritz at the penthouse eating.
That works for me, girlfriend.
All right.
You know, while we're eating hospital food, we got to get into the Hulu get real recap.
Hulu made a lot of announcements at Get Real House.
And we're going to give a quick recap.
But first, Susan, how do you feel like I wasn't invited with you?
I was there last year, but I wasn't this year.
I wonder what the problem is here.
Well, you're one for two.
I'm zero for two.
And I will say when I was looking online, there were no goldens there.
It was all the youngans and young influencers.
So what do we do in wrong, Susan?
We got old.
But we have wisdom and people like us.
That's right.
And we get people off the couch.
So you know what?
We're all living our best lives.
Let's start with The Bachelor, the great news, and this I am so excited about,
that Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise
will be back in 2027.
What do you think?
It had to be.
I mean, that's a great show.
Are you kidding?
And I'm just curious,
are they going to have Goldens sets this time on it?
Will there still be money at the end of the show?
You know, it's funny you say that
because we're going to talk about
a lot of other new shows that are coming out on Hulu.
And here's my thought in general
before we get any further.
For me,
Bachelor particularly, the franchise says, it's always been in my mind telling a great story and
hoping that people fall in love. So like love is the backbone of it, but now it's like it might be
a lot of money. It takes the focus off of love and the great stories. So I don't know. But if,
let's just say it goes back to being about love, who do you think the bachelor will be? Because my
understanding is the first thing you're going to film is a Bachelor and then they'll film Bachelor in Paradise.
So who do you want? Who do you think will be Bachelor?
I think it may be somebody from Taylor season.
I totally agree with you. There's been talk about Robert Irwin, who won Dancing with the Stars,
but he's, which we're going to get into, he's doing another show that we'll get into
in a second. I think he's a little young to be the Bachelor, but he will be someday, I believe.
Well, I think so too. I mean, I would love to see one of the guys from Taylor's season.
First of all, I'd like to see Taylor's season shown.
Yeah, but I think it would be great to have one of those guys because they are some good-looking nice guys.
I know. And also new news, Dancing with the Stars, the Next Pro.
My dream come true is to be on that show. But Mara Higgins and Sierra Miller announced as new cast members.
Okay. Here we go. We're getting younger and people with big followings. I think that's a new route that they've taken.
Yeah. You and I are toast. But they have to have seniors on the show, though, Kath. We're not toast. They have to have goldens and mix it up. Maybe they should just have a golden dance with the stars.
You know what? A golden dating show, a golden travel show, a golden cooking show, all set the table. Anything would be great.
Maura Higgins, if I'm right, she is like a 35-year-old who is on Love Island.
And then the other one, Sierra Miller, came from Summer House and Winterhouse.
So these are young, not teenagers, but they're young influencers,
already current reality TV stars.
And I think that's where it's going.
But also Robert Irwin is going to be the host of this new show of finding the next pro.
what they're doing is, again, shocker, a competition to see who the next pro is going to be
for Dancing with the Stars.
Dancing with the Stars.
They're twisting it up.
They're changing it up.
I guess, I mean, they were successful for 100 years, it feels like.
Yeah.
But it's modern day.
You've got to switch things up.
Well, you do.
But I do hate to see, just personally, I hate to see everything going to money unless they're handing it to me.
in which case I love the idea.
The next one, though, is, speaking of money, is million-dollar nannies.
Okay, what this show is going to be is eight young nannies.
They're influencers, and it's going to be life-changing money.
They're going to be nannying to famous families in my favorite place, Abitha.
I even know how to say it.
Abita.
Love that.
And one of them is going to be, I think, Leah Barras, who worked for the Kardashians.
They're touting this as lots of personal drama, you know, lots of God knows what else is going on.
But apparently nannies who are experienced are going to compete for money in Ibitha, what could possibly go wrong there?
That's the most beautiful island.
Oh, God, I love it there.
How about having, what do you think about this, Susan?
We have raised kids.
We have grandchildren.
How about they do a golden million dollar grannies?
Well, no, we could be a nanny.
I said million-dollar granny nannies.
I love it.
We could do it.
All right.
Okay, the next one, The Girls.
Now, it's a 2006 Hulu reality series.
Yeah.
Wait, it's about the Kardashian.
Well, Chloe Kardashian is in it, of course.
And she's focusing on her inner circle of real-life festies.
It's all her friends.
Like, can you imagine?
You know what we need?
we, that's what we went wrong. We're not one of her besties.
I'm telling you. I'm telling you.
The show is going to follow their lives as moms and moguls.
So some of them have been on the show, like her best friend that always comes on the show.
This, this I will definitely tune into.
Yeah. Okay. Well, the next one, you're really going to want to tune into, Susan,
because this, this show, you know, everything that has any hint of Italy or Italian,
you're in.
This show is called The Mob.
I should be on it, Kathy.
You know what?
Get in line.
I want to be on it first.
This is like, it's traitor-like.
And they're going to be competing in Italy in a villa, I believe, shocker, again, for more money.
Do you, there's, you know, these, are you hearing it?
It's a variation on a theme.
Competition and money.
In this show, there's, they're going to have a dawn.
you know, of the mob once a week. He can change it at any time. He can change it. He can vote people off.
So you and I need to go and be the Don's and clean house. But, you know, and Shane from Taylor
Frankie Paul season is on it. And you know who else is on it? Maria Georges. If I'm saying her last name,
right? That's right. She's on it as well. Why aren't we on these, Susan?
She's been on something else recently, too, that we're going to talk about today.
Yeah, Vanderpumpville. But I want to know, why are you and I not invited to the Hulu
get real party that everyone was at. We're not on these shows. Give me your best take. Why are we not on
these shows? Out of sight, out of mind. We need to be in their face showing them, hey, remember us.
All right, we're going to have to get loud. We are good TV. We are. All right. What's the next one you got?
Secret, the new secret lives of Mormon wives, Orange County. Okay, wait, can I just say,
the secret lives of Mormon wives Salt Lake, like, I get that because that's where
The preponderance of Mormons live in Utah.
Orange County?
What, like, are we going to see Mormons?
I'm going to see Mormons like in, in, with their husbands,
change to their arm surfing in the ocean?
Like, I don't get it.
And we, everybody asked and no, Jen Affleck is not the star.
She will not be.
So I think that, I think that, from what I read about this show, it's going to be a,
group of, and you know, I'm not quoting it, but moms, but traditional Mormon wives with other
Mormon wives that are more adaptable to change. And it's going to be, you know, one bumping into
the other. And there's going to be a lot of drama there. Shocker, shocker, shocker. The only thing I'm
not sure of is if there's money involved, because it seems to be that money is involved in all
these shows, Susan. Yes. It seems to be money involved with everything lately. I mean, does that
make it more dramatic maybe? Does that change one's personality? Like when we know the Bachelor,
that's about love. Experience Harry Styles live in London, England at Wembley Stadium.

Do you think, this is just my question to you,
do you think the days of shows that are, yes,
they're always about a good story.
That goes without saying.
But do you think that it's changing to,
we don't care about the good story
as much as we want the competition,
the prize at the end,
and we want to see what people,
people will do to earn the price money. Do you think that's where we're headed? I think that's what I'm
saying. I mean, you can't deny it. Every other show has the pot of gold at the end. Right.
Exactly. How do you feel about that for Bachelor? Because we're part of that. Watching,
Paradise, I thought it was kind of cool. Like, oh, there's a little twist here. And somebody's going
to make some money at the end. But here's the difference they did. I question whether that love was real,
but they put that in there as well.
Very, very good move.
Because when they question them singly
and they both answered the same,
that gave me. Yes, but you got to remember
because I was there,
Bachelor in Paradise,
the first, what, four episodes,
nobody knew that money
was going to,
that it was going to become a competition.
In other words, all the people that
matched up, you know, found each other,
they were solidified as a couple
before they brought money into it.
We're going forward, I think it takes the love out of it
and brings in an alliance.
Susan, you and I, come on, we're going to say we're in love
just to get the money.
Exactly, right?
It becomes about alliances.
And so I don't know.
I don't know how I feel.
We shall see, but I'm probably going to tune in to most of them.
You know, the mob's going to be on front and center.
Susan should be sitting with her baseball bat thing, you know.
But listen, if you go on the mob,
you better bring me with you because you and I will take baseball bats to everybody will be the dons plural
now that's a good idea wait we could be the don't you and I could be the dons I don't want to be the
don't why not heads will roll Kathy heads that's the point we'll be great TV we're on it producers get us on it
all right go all right we definitely got to do some recap on bander pomp villa so bachelor nation was featured on
two episodes of Vanderpumpfila and we watched it.
So let's do a little recap.
Okay.
First of all, there were so many,
the Bachelor cast on these episodes of Vanderpumpfila included.
Charity, Dotten, Maria, Sean, Mercedes, Ariel, John, Xavier, and Jess.
And here's the thing.
Without breaking it for everybody and spoiling it,
the reason that they were all there was to celebrate.
This was the reason given to celebrate Doughton's 33rd birthday.
So Charity and Doughton and all this crowd were there ostensibly to celebrate.
That's why they were invited.
Yes, they were invited to celebrate.
So, Kat, have you seen the show before?
Not Vanderpump Villa.
I had seen Vanderpump Rules.
Yes, yes.
But what do you think?
was a little uncertain about the show.
So watching it, I realize, again, there's a pot of money at the ends.
No, no, no, no.
The pot of money is not for the guests.
No, I understand that.
It's only for the staff.
It's for the people she hires for her staff.
And who shines the most.
Now, I don't see how the butler can shine more than the bartender,
because the bartender is going to be the one that they're with all the time,
because everybody's drinking.
Well, every week.
I didn't realize it was such a,
they were supposed to hook up with these people and get crazy.
I did, however, notice our bachelor people were very involved, I will say.
Charity and Dalton, they're together.
They weren't involved.
They were a class act.
So, okay, so Charity and Daughton were not featured as much.
They showed them like coming into dinner for the birthday celebration for breakfast.
And they were very circumspect.
I wish I could say the same for our bachelor friends.
Sean,
I wanted to slap you.
I really,
I was appalled by your behavior.
And Jess,
you and Nick,
come on,
girlfriend.
You know,
really?
I don't know.
You know what?
I'm going to be honest with you.
With statements coming out,
like hung like a horse?
Like,
well,
how about Maria saying you fuck with her?
You fuck with her.
You fuck with me.
I mean,
I'm like,
I will say,
as a golden, as a supporter and lover of all things Bachelor and the Bachelor franchise,
I was disappointed in the behavior.
And I know that's not going to be a popular.
But be honest, you called me and you said, you were shocked.
I was shocked.
Literally.
And what did I tell you?
I didn't know that's what the show was about.
I really did.
I didn't either.
I do now.
I do now.
Now, once again, we weren't invited.
The goldens, maybe if they invited the whole golden crew,
I wonder if the actions would be quite the same.
Well, two things I want to say.
To me, my immediate, and I called you, so everyone knows,
I called Susan right after I watched the two episodes,
five and six are the two episodes, season three,
episodes five and six are the ones where the bachelor folk
are there at this castle in England with the,
and that's where Vanderpomvilla is this season in London.
or outside of London.
I called up Susan.
I said, have you finished watching?
She said not yet.
I said, get ready.
It's modern day Sodom and Gomorrah.
I was just like the behavior,
like truth and dare in the hot tub
and making out with multiple people
and stripping down clothes.
So here's what I thought.
It reminded me a little bit of,
you asked me what Goldens would do,
I would never do that.
Because as Golden's,
the small platform you and I have, I want to be seen as a woman of class, of style, who is
compassionate. I mean, it's the same problem I had with Paradise, with the Golden's making out
in the pool. I wouldn't do that. Would you? I think it's the young generation, though. It's much
more free than we ever was. It's not about being free in my opinion. Yeah, it is. They don't care,
they don't care. Well, that's different. There's two, two things I want to talk about. Okay.
One, when Charity was sitting and answering questions about what, remember when Vanderpump would say,
you're not jealous about that, da-da-da-da-da.
Remember that conversation?
Yes.
Okay.
How she answered it.
And the other one saying, I don't know if I'd be okay with that of him being around all the exes.
And Charity laughed and said, well, I'm fine.
but if it were reversed, how would the other one act?
Right?
Wasn't that the topic of the conversation?
Yeah.
And you know what?
I think she was fair.
She was honest.
She said she wouldn't like it.
And I got to be honest, I wouldn't either.
But so I hand them.
If you're the chosen one, you need to be comfortable.
Yeah.
I mean, he obviously did a show with her.
She was, you know, that's just what it is.
My best part was Nick and Jess.
And when she screams at him, Nick, and they stop the car.
Oh, Kat, that's all about love right there.
Okay.
I hope to God that they do continue to see each other, although I saw the previews.
No, no, no, no, no, you stop.
You called me and you went, Kathy, I really hope that Nick and Jess did.
And what did I say?
Are you out of your mind?
Did you see, if anyone wonders, we talk this way off air, on air.
I said, Susan, are you out of your mind?
Did you see the previews?
The next crowd were women coming in from girls coming in from Love Overboard.
From Love Overboard.
And Nick, they're all going, oh, look at that.
Like, they can't wait to get their hands all over those bodies.
So if I were just...
And Ariel, like, thinking Charlie's all that plus some, he's just a flop with everybody.
I know Ariel.
I think Ariel was just playing.
She's just having fun.
Ariel, Charlie's not her guy.
In my mind, Charlie's just, you know, he's a...
He's a flirt. He's with her today and another one tomorrow. I think Nick is the same.
Sean ends up with Hannah of all people.
Okay. Sean and Hannah. Good God. Right in front of the Marciano guy.
Oh. That girl is all over the place. Well, so Sean, I love you, Sean. But come on.
You're you're a fabulous guy. I know you personally and your behavior is deplorable.

I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.

Hey, I'm Jared Adano.
You might know me as that loud guy who yells out, help on the internet.
Help! Somebody! Please!
But there's so much more to me than that.
I'm an actor. I'm a comedian.
and recently I've become quite the helper myself.
And on my new podcast, hope from a hypocrite,
I'll be changing lives,
helping people in need with my sage advice
and thoughtful solutions.
Sike, I'm a comedian.
I'm not qualified to give good advice.
Join me and my comedian friends
as we riff rant and recommend some of
the most legally dubious advice known to man.
If I'm calling you,
even if you're on your phone,
let it ring twice.
One ring is too skinny.
Gary.
Cream of chicken suit.
Hey, cream.
Cream a chicken suit.
This is Help from a Hypocrite, the worst advice from the dumbest people you know.
Listen to Help from Hypocrite as part of the Mike Coutura Podcast Network available on the IHartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
John and Alyssa, okay.
So with Nick from the, from Vanderpump Villa, but they're open, right?
So Nick and I couldn't, it was like I was getting a.
headache watching this.
And I was thinking, if this were my children, I'd want to slap them upside to the head.
You know, Alyssa, did you think Alyssa was in, damn?
I didn't.
No.
No.
I mean, she was just going along with it.
I mean, think that's what you had to do on that show.
You had to be with somebody.
I mean, Susan, if you and I'm putting a bit out for us to be on the next season of
Vanderpump Villa right after we finish filming the mob, we're going to show them how it should
be done.
However, however, if this is.
what, you know, if we are just old, and I'm, you know, hearkening back to the Victorian era here,
but if that's where it is, okay, but I think, you know, in other podcasts, we talked with Demi
about raising good men, you know, raising sons to be good men. Well, you know what, I think
when you're watching behavior like this, it's not teaching anyone in society to be respectful
of others. It's Sodom and Gomorra. It's lustful.
And there's jealousy about Tyler get really annoyed with Sage for briefly speaking with John.
Remember that scene? Yeah, but he gets pissed off.
Nick tries to go to bed with Jess. I mean, listen to what you're reading. Do you think all this
is it, can you chalk at all up to strict entertainment? Can you? Oh, I was entertained
all right. I was like in shock half the time. Yeah, but is it the
that you want to spend your time watching, that kind of behavior?
Not necessarily now.
It wasn't my thing.
It really was.
Yeah, I know.
But I was amused watching these kids like, idiots.
Yeah, I was amused, but then I was like, wait a minute, you're part of the Bachelor
franchise.
You got to behave better, you know, you got to behave better.
But they were put in that situation.
Oh, so you're telling me that.
And they're young and people were attracted to them and they gave them time and
attention, that's how they roll, Kat.
They're there to have a good time.
And then they walk away and say, oh, that was just a weekend.
Well, you know what?
Everybody watching it, then don't, okay, Susan, fair enough.
But then don't come to me and say, I hope Nick, wait, wait, don't come and say to me,
oh, I hope Nick and Jess are together because it's not real.
But it's not real.
But they looked real.
They really were into each other.
And she's so damn cute.
well let me just say I know I know Jess too I love her I'm just saying come on people get real
Nick when Nick tells Jesse wants to come and visit her in the States or have her visit him in
Scotland I'm raising my to meet his mom I lived in Scotland I'm like hey can I come meet your mom because I'd love to go back to Scotland
because that's how much that's going to last with Jess yeah just is leaving LA got out of the whole show
the most drama was all about Hannah and Marciana and how she is with him
like without the cameras and then what she does to him in front of the cameras.
Like, that's not fair.
This girl sounds a little.
I don't know.
I felt sorry for him.
I went back and forth with Marciano.
First I thought the guy was okay.
Then I thought he was crazy.
And then you get Stacy trying to, you know, mediate.
I'm like, this, it just seemed like, do we need to stretch the show?
Is this what we're doing now?
Like, we don't have enough content.
So let's just have them have a good argument.
I mean, really, it was hard to watch.
And then at night, Alyssa is with John all night,
but ends up sleeping with Nick who tried to go to bed with Jess.
I mean, this is a freaking mess.
Yeah.
This is what...
Listen, the thing that I loved was they, they,
when they're doing the, you know, in the moment interviews,
and they asked Jess, or wait, now I have to think about,
this. Did they ask Jess?
And she, no, they asked
Nick, I think. And he
couldn't remember her name. He's like,
and the producer had to say, Jess.
Oh yeah, Jess. I'm like, he can't even keep it
together long enough to film
the show. You know, he's on to the next
love overboard chick. I mean,
wow. And then Lisa Vanderpump,
let me just say, she is
R.A. She is 65.
A little younger. And she conducts herself
with nothing but class
and love. So Lisa, we love.
you, you are smart enough to stay out of the fray.
And she looked a little shock a couple times, didn't she?
And but she's still making millions on the show.
So good for you, Lisa.
I loved it when she brought in Hannah, you know, to say you're not, you're not working
up to snuff here.
I mean, really?
She's too, are you kidding me, Solomon Gomorrah?
Nobody's worried about being up to snuff here.
They're just worried about the next sexual encounter in the hot time.
And what was the young lady's name that got in trouble because she's not with the guest
enough?
and then she does,
and then her boyfriend gets all mad.
He's not even speaking to her.
I'm like, come on.
This girl can't win.
Yeah, I can't remember who it was.
But I don't know.
Sage.
It was Sage.
It was Sage.
Yeah, it was sage.
And I don't know.
I just, I think,
I think you can make a show like a really entertaining
without doing such perverse in some ways behavior.
I was just a little disappointed in that, but I know I'm going to take a lot of heat for this.
I think you can have love and romance and interesting chaotic stories without having some of the behavior that we saw.
Can we just talk about the settings, the table, the arrangements, the flowers?
It was Bridgeton all the way for Dalton's birthday thing.
I mean, it was gorgeous.
I mean, Susan, next year for your 70th birthday, Lisa, bring
Susan and Mayfer. Susan Celebrate Susan Seventh. There you go. I want to celebrate my 70th on that show.
However, Lisa, hire a little older staff. Then what will happen, Kathy? Oh, listen. We could say very easy. We're not going to mess around with these kids. But if there's an older staff, I don't know.
So you asked me, you asked me when we were talking on the phone. You said, Kathy, would you do, you know, would you make out with a guy? And what did I tell you? I said, yeah. No, I said I would.
if it was an age-appropriate guy that I was attracted to.
But you're not going to see me, you're not going to see me with a young guy,
and you're not going to see me jumping into bed or taking off my bathing suit in a hot tub
or, you know, whatever, or using the drop in the F-bomb, because you and I, part of the part,
and then I'll get off my soapbox, you and I, the best part about what we get to do, I think,
is being role models for our generation.
For women over 60 thinking life is over.
Life isn't over and you don't have to
Agreed.
You don't have to behave like a
whatever, pick a word.
That show got me sucked in.
I started from the beginning.
I know we had to watch episode five,
watched it from the get going season three.
See? There you go.
Now I got to finish.
Because right away, when they found out
love overboard girls were coming,
it was very clear the men were already over the bachelor people.
Wait a minute.
Wait a second.
That's what I said.
They were over them and you go, no, I want Nick and Jess.
Not Nick and Jess.
I want them together.
Did you see Nick's face when he saw the girls coming from love?
Yes, I saw it, but.
I mean, says you need to get off your fairy tale princess wings and start looking at reality here.
But it is one hell of a show, I'll tell you.
I can't wait.
All these other new shows that are coming out.
I wonder if they're going to be similar.
Well, I think there's going to be money involved on a lot of them.
And you know what?
We just got to wait and see.
There's two sides to this story, right?
One is do what you do the best and, you know, know your audience and do what you do in the best way possible.
And I think Bachelor has done that.
On reality TV.
Bachelor is reality TV.
I think that all of this.
But I think the difference is, Susan, there are so many new shows now about love, love overboard, love on the spectrum.
My God, love is blind.
can't even think of them all.
There's so many of them that people feel the need, rightfully so, probably, to come up with
a new creative something to make their show stand out.
I'm sorry that it comes down to money because, you know, not for love nor money.
I mean, money's the root of all evil.
How many of those old pithy expressions can we say?
But I get it.
There has to be some change with the times.
But I'm, I, as part of the Bachelor,
franchise. I just, I'm going on record. I hope they don't deviate too far from the wonderful
stories and the quest for love. Now my, my thing is in reality TV, like on our show, I was who I am.
I wasn't acting. No. Do you think that some of them are falling into, I'm going to act this out
because it's good TV or they being themselves? The cast? Yes. Without a doubt.
You are absolutely right.
So how is this still reality TV then?
Reality TV is being real.
Were you somebody different when you were on the show?
No.
Susan, I'm not going to name names.
How many of the Goldens do you know who were not themselves on our show,
on Jones season, on Mel's season?
How many of the world's selves?
Well, it's changed going down the line because we were the first and we were authentic.
That's right.
So, you know, I don't know.
Let's get to the golden hotline here.
We're going to get to the golden hotline here.
We're going to get to the Golden Hotline because I got to finish up with this so I can set my DVR.
There's another old term.
What's a DVR?
So I can set my whatever to record all these reality TV shows.
We just talk to the TV now, Kathy.
I don't.
Hit the microphone.
Play Love Overboard.
Can I just say?
Thank God I now know what hooking up is.
We've come a long way.
I swear to God, if you didn't know after watching Vinder Pubbillis what hooking up is, there was absolutely no hope for you.
Just somebody get a note.
to Lisa that we need a golden for my 70th. I want my party. I want the table exactly the same.
No, no, we're going to do something way better for you. That's all for today's episode.
But Kathy and I will be back with part two very soon. We'll see you then.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and
friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week,
my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and
head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band with their between
songs banter. Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

And now the Pod Meets Twirled podcast.
We're two men who were completely clueless to reality TV,
and we're gearing up for the season finale of Survivor.
I know we annoyed a lot of our listeners by our severe lack of survivor knowledge.
That is the point of the show.
I'm just going to remind you.
Again, we are experts.
