Hey. And we have been joined at the hips since high school. A redacted amount of years later,
we're still joined at the hip. Just a little bit bigger hips. This is a podcast. We're recording it as we
tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey. With all the snacks.
and drinks.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
Oh, they hit a bogo.
Well, then you got it.
Listen to soccer moms on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
How much you wait, Wanda?
Right now, about 130.
I'm at 183.
We should race.
No, I want to leave here with my original hips.
On the podcast, the matchup with Alia, I pair prominent female athletes with unexpected guests.
On a recent episode, I sat down with undisputed boxing champ, Clarissa Shields, and comedian Wanda

Brought to you by Novartis, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports Network.
You know the famous author Roald Doll.
He thought up Willie Wonka and the BFG.
But did you know he was a spy?
Neither did I.
You can hear all about his wildlife story in the podcast,
The Secret World of Roald Doll.
All episodes are out now.
Was this before he wrote his stories?
It must have been.
What?
Okay, I don't think that's true.
I'm telling you, the guy was a spy.
Binge all 10 episodes of The Secret World of Roll Dahl.
Now on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is Julian Edelman, host of Games with Names.
On our latest episode, we got comedian, Blake Anderson from Workaholics and The Hilarious This Is Important Podcast.
Let's go!
We did beat them in improv.
You had an improv against the team?
Yes, we would pull up their schools, would be there with signs for us.
It's competition.
It's, what you would win is a bottle of gold slager.
James Fester threw it out of a van because he didn't want us drinking it.

Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour's Golden Hour.
I'm Kathy.
And I'm Susan.
And thank you all so much for joining us again.
We are recording this on April 6th.
You know what that means, Susan?
What does that mean?
The Easter Bunny came yesterday.
and more importantly, the finale of HGTV Bachelor Mansion Takeover airs tonight.
Tonight.
Okay, so Susan, I'm so excited.
Today we are joined by Bachelor Alumni and HGTV Bachelor Mansion Takeover winner, Noah Earb.
Congrats, Noah, and welcome to the podcast.
How you doing, ladies?
Hi, Noah.
We're so happy to be here.
Ann, thank you.
I'm super excited.
to talk about this show.
Finality is airing.
Shoot, what day is it?
In 15 minutes, this comes out on Wednesday.
Are you pumped or what?
I really am.
This show was so crazy to me
because I really didn't know what it was.
I don't think anyone really did.
We just kind of thought we're going to
remodel the mansion and, you know,
so now to get to be able to watch it all back
and my family.
So wait, before we get into this,
Noah. I just want
everyone to hear because before we
started recording, you so graciously
offered to share your winnings with
Susan and me. Yes, wasn't that sweet?
I think you are just the sweetest.
And Abby, the four of us
couldn't be happy.
I'm a lover, and I'm
so glad that we could all do this together.
My wife's not going to go
for any of this. I've spent all
the money. She's got it already.
I need to find another guy to try to get it
from. It's going to be
Me.
But that was a good attempt.
All right.
I've tried.
So it's to my understanding that you didn't go to the mansion before.
This was your first time, right?
Yeah.
So let's take it to the beginning.
Okay.
So my season was Tasha Clear, COVID bubble, never got to see the mansion.
I was kind of bummed about that.
But this time coming in, you know, you hear about the mansion, but you don't really know what it looks like because TV's hard to tell.
You know, they put the cameras in certain spots.
and there's certain areas you never see.
You know, we're remodeling bedrooms that you really never see.
And it's like, so walking in, I instantly was like, okay, I don't know what the show is yet.
No clue.
But the fact that we get to even do anything is really cool to me because over the last couple of years,
me and my wife, you know, have been doing this pretty much nonstop, our house and stuff like that.
So it's like, this is right up my alley.
So walking in.
Which is harder.
Which is harder, Noah, doing the mansion or doing your house with Abby, because I follow you on Instagram and watch your videos.
You guys have done a lot to your place.
Thank you.
You think I'm silly enough to say it's hard to work with Abby on a podcast?
Come on.
No, Abby and I, we have a good team.
I actually told Abby, I'd talk to her at night and I'd say, you would be so good at this show, but you would hate this show.
because there's so many elements of it that it would have been super easy,
but we're working with five other people to try to convince someone.
We have one hour to select, you know, go through 60 items.
And it's like it was a completely different animal to where it was like it was so much harder than at my house with Abby doing the design.
At your house, did you have anything that was non-negotiable that you had to have that Abigail was feeling different about?
Well, I'm still working on my golf simulator in the garage.
that our thing is for our kids.
So I put a loft in.
But no, I'm a pretty easy.
I, you know, I come from the ICU.
Like, I don't fight over a lot of things.
I'm pretty easy unless it's a terrible idea.
Like, yeah, that works for me.
There's only a couple things where I'm like, that's not going to cut it.
And that's kind of how we started was she'd give me options.
And now it's to the point her design is better than mine.
You know, it's like, I don't, she'll give me some options, one or two, like, do
like this.
And I'll say my opinion.
but, you know, it's completely different now.
When you say design, Noah, when you say design, do you mean she'll say do you like this fabric
or that fabric better or do you like this wall being moved here or that wall being moved there?
Or the pink color.
So this is where I took things from home and put it on the show.
It was no different from me trying to convince Joan we can't do a gold arch over the pool, you know, to the entry.
It's like, well, we'll come back to that.
certain things that you can't do.
So when it comes to the construction side,
Abby kind of lets, you know,
I'll steer her in what is actually realistic
because I'm the one doing it
or I'm help somebody's hired, you know?
Okay.
But I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm stuck on the gold arch over the pool.
Who had the worst taste of the cast?
And you got to be honest.
Oh, we're getting into it.
Yes.
We want the down and dirty.
So I don't know.
I think it's hard to say, so for me, it's hard for me to say who's the worst taste because
everyone's from a different part of the country.
And like, you showed me a picture earlier from Arizona.
Courtney's style in Arizona is completely different from Sam's style in North Carolina.
And Oklahoma is, you know, people have their things.
But, you know, then you have Chris from New York.
And it's like, everyone had their own style, like where they're from.
Oddly enough, the girls, all the designers had the most.
most like I could pick a magazine any magazine that you know it's going to have some sort of
gold feature like predictable style patterns and that's what it would turn out so it was like
I don't think anyone was bad in their own right it was just predictable style from all the designers
of the house you know the ones that were smearing it in our face that they're the best designers
and we're idiots and like you know it's me and dean sitting there like rubbing rubbing
foreheads like okay design buddy design you know but everyone had good design
in their own right. It's just people
were stuck to
like what they knew, I think. And that's,
you can't really hold it against them, but you can't
put an arch in every, every
spot, you know?
Wait, who wanted to put arches in every spot?
Talk to us about the gold arches.
Unless we're getting hamburgers here, I want to know what
really happened.
McDonald's, that's what I was thinking.
All right, we'll keep it brief. We'll keep it brief.
All, okay, I, I agreed
a lot with, you know, at the bar,
I wanted arches because they,
match the arches of the house.
And it's like, okay, cool.
But then, you know, what's her, let's, it's Joan.
You know, it's, it's Joan.
It's our golden.
Furthermore, it's Joan of Arc.
I don't know if you know that.
It's medieval time.
So Joan of Arc would put an arch everywhere.
Everywhere.
When it, you know, there shouldn't be an arch.
So actually, when we watch, we'll see what makes it on the episode, but, and I wasn't
trying to intentionally do this.
truthfully, but I basically, I got to redo the main mixer room that all six of us did before
and it turned into a disaster because it's six people doing different areas, you know, of the same
room. So I got to redo that room and I didn't do it intentionally, but I basically erased
everything that's Conan and Disha did. I knocked down Alicia's wall, let the light in, ripped all
Jones arches out, you know. Wait, pause. I need to know when you say redo a room, are you talking about
the decor, like the attic pillows or the things for the paint or the walls and the furniture.
So this episode, the finale, there's a few things.
One, the mixer room didn't look good.
There's a few rooms in the house where it's like maybe it was circumstances.
Maybe.
Can I just say, Noah, if home renovation doesn't work out for you, you have a great future in politics.
Let me just tell you.
I hope it doesn't come to that, to be honest.
Oh, God.
But there were rooms that Bachelor was like, hey, we're also trying to, you know, we were doing this for Taylor Frankie Paul, who was coming at the end of the season at the time.
So we're all like, okay, it's got to look good for TFP, everything for TFP.
And then they're like, hey, this doesn't look good.
So Sam, me and Tammy got to redo a few spaces.
And that was like make or break for me because it was the biggest room.
So I got to redo the paint, the style of it.
I redid my credenza, and I basically, in my mind, was thinking,
I'm just going to do everything Nate Birkus said.
I love that.
Who's going to tell me and Nate Berkus that were wrong if we both are saying the same thing.
What did you do with all the things?
Did you just throw them out, discard them, everything they did?
I knocked down Alicia's wall, gets more light into the, from the kitchen.
Put it back to a bookshelf.
I got rid of Jones mailbox because...
I'm sorry?
Mailbox?
Well, there was one.
In the mixer room?
What is this?
There's a letter to Santa Claus?

Hey, Ernest, what's up?
Look, money is something we all deal with, but financial literacy is what helps turn income into real wealth.
On each episode of the podcast, Earn Your Leisure, we break down the conversations
you need to understand money, investing, and entrepreneurship.
From stocks and real estate to credit, business, and generational wealth,
we translate complex financial topics into real conversations everyone can understand.
Because the truth is, most people will never taught how money really works.
But once you understand the system, you can start to build within it.
That means ownership, smarter investing, and creating opportunities not just for yourself,
but for the next generation.
If you want to learn how to build wealth, understand the markets, and think like an owner,
Earn Your Leisure is the podcast for you.

I'm Anna Navarro, and on my new podcast,
Bleep with Anna Navarro.
I'm talking to the people closest to the biggest issues
happening in your community and around the world.
Because I know deep down inside right now,
we are all cursing and asking what the bleep is going on.
I'm talking to people like Julie K. Brown,
who broke the explosive story
on Jeffrey Epstein in 2018.
These victims have been let down time and time again for decades and decades and decades
by local law enforcement, by federal law enforcement, by administration after administration.
The Justice Department through, I think we counted four presidential administrations, failed
these victims.

Absolutely.
Now a redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip.
Just a little bit bigger hips, wider.

Why did you get hard seltzer instead of being?
Oh, they had a bogo.
Well, then you got it.
Do you want a white color or something here?
Just hit it.
Oh, what are y'all doing?
Microphones?
Are you making a rap album?
Oh, I would.
Come on.
Can you believe?
I would buy it.
Cuts through the defense like a hot knife through sponge cake.
That sounds delicious.
Oh, you're lucky.
I'm not a drug addict.
You're lucky I'm not an alcoholic.
You are.
I'm not a killer.
I love this team, and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on.
Oh.
Listen to see to see.
Soccer moms on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
If they redid this show, which I'm like, dude, let's do a different mansion at another
celebrity's house, get different casts, pull some other people on. Like, let's get crazy with it,
you know. Yeah. But having to be on as fun because you, like Joan, people were, they didn't
like how John and Alicia got along. They were a little aggressive for them. They banded together,
like even if they weren't on the same team. But Joan has been around for, you know, she's
owned a few houses. She's been around for a little bit of time and she's got money. So she's
by default knows pretty good style. It's like, you can at least, you know, Joan's not going to
build a bunch of stuff. Where Joan messed up is she got too, a little too aggressive and cocky with
some of the, you know, other people. And it back. But it's like, you could hop on. It's like,
you could have good style, you know, you can add your piece because we're working together. So
it's towards the end was just me and Tammy to finish.
finish the kitchen. And that was different because it's like I have the whole. Oh my goodness.
Oh my goodness is right. Wait, I want to know does the damn dishwasher work? That's what I want to know.
Does the dishwasher work? Oh, let me shout out. Let's see. Let me shout out Z line really quick.
We have all Z line appliances. The fridge is panel ready. So there's it all matches the cabinet.
Oh, nice. I'm not, I didn't get to add everything up, you know, in my head.
head, but if I was a, if I was subbing that out, I would say that's like a $300,000 kitchen.
Wow.
Well, I don't even know how much it would cost.
It's so pretty.
It's the prettiest kitchen I've ever been in.
I can't wait.
I got to tune in.
Yeah, we got to go back and see.
I got to tell you, no, I'm in the process right now of having stuff done to my house.
Tomorrow, they're ripping out my bathroom floor and putting in a new floor.
And I've put all new hardwoods upstairs.
This is Kathy's version of living in hell.
I don't want to do it.
I don't want to live through it. I just want to do it.
Oh my God. She's been complaining.
So let me as well, Kathy, you happen to be talking to a good listener.
Let me tell you something.
Tell me.
Part of when I left the ICU to, I didn't leave the ICU, but when I stopped working
the hospital last few years ago, I was like, what else is going to replace that, you know,
trauma ICU?
Yeah.
I have a passion now for like construction and helping people like you, you just knowing a few things or
Or even just so you don't get ripped off or just so it's a good job.
Or it's like you can do little things that can increase your life, your house, make it all better.
And it's not that hard.
You know, these panels behind me were $75 to make from Lowe's.
It's like somebody like you, it's like I think it's great.
You know, peek your head in there.
Don't be that annoying Karen that's telling people what to do.
But it's good to be.
Oh, trust me.
I do not.
The only thing I did was after they laid the hardwoods, the one thing I said,
said was I didn't want like there's a lot to remodeling houses I said I didn't want like a where the
floor meets the bathroom the hardwood I didn't want one of those I did not want a piece of transition I said
bring that would right up to they didn't so guess who's ripping out some hardwoods next week and
they have to do it and they should our kitchen was the same thing we redid it twice because I'm a
loving man I just the only way I can put it I was a yes man at the time newly married I'm not saying
know but we read it twice and had to match because we did tile and had to match our hardwoods
with the rest of the house they're hand scraped they're beautiful yeah so we had to rip out you know
do some crazy stuff to try to get it all level because i don't want to trip when i'm sliding around
with my socks on that's right i do not want to splinter i do not want to sleep and live my good
I don't want to stub my toe.
I'm with it.
All right.
So, Noah, I want to know, you're definitely not the golden arches guy.
What is, if you had to...
I just took down the arches.
I used to have them in the kitchen going into the dining rites.
I'm an arch guy because I put arches in my kitchen, but you've got to be particular about them.
That's all I'm saying.
Not every entry.
Not every entry.
He needs a hamburger.
I got it.
Okay.
What is your personal design style in three words?
Moody.
Functional.
And let's call it calm.
I like that.
I like moody.
Yeah.
So I'm on,
I'm lighting.
Are you talking about lighting?
Well,
just like I like the vibe and the feeling of it.
I don't have all the technical design.
I could get into the technicalities,
I guess,
but for me,
I hope they show this.
When I walked the judges through the mixer room,
I said,
listen,
because Tyler made fun in me,
like,
are you good without Abby?
And I'm like, listen, I might not be the most technical designer, but I can sell vibes.
And I got to walk them through the mixer room and show.
So I kind of like that style.
You take a feeling you want.
Yeah, if you want it to be calm, I'm like, okay, let's add some sort of stone, darker wood.
It's like, and then make the cool fun stuff be a fancy rug or something that's just kind of subtle.
I don't like all tons of stuff.
doing the mixer room
I didn't add anything
I took stuff out because there was
way too much I like things simple
and then like the bold pieces to speak for themselves
you can come to my house
you and Abby can come to do my house
anytime you want
come on now
so what's a home trend
I mean seriously I'm up to my neck
in this home renovation now
what's a home trend you love
that's current and what is one
that just needs to go by the wayside
aside from marches
immediately. In general. I think I think color drenching is coming back. I don't think we should have
ever painted our trim white. Somebody made a mistake with that. We need to take that. Gray. Gray is over.
I think if you're going to do trim, it needs to be a few shades off color of whatever paint you're using
on the wall. Just so it kind of all blends in. I don't like the stark. So I think... Hold on. I'm about
to paint my wood trim around the window. This is...
Bathrooms, I feel like window casings are different.
Window casings are different because then you can, you know, it's a window.
But crown molding and baseboards and I just, I'm not a fan.
And then one, I think to get out, oh, I guess that was two.
You know, I answer it both.
So do you have anybody in mind when I ask you who you think should have stayed longer
and who you think should have left earlier from the show?
I think Brendan probably should have stayed longer
because Brendan was like our painter.
So like that's why me and Brendan were the ones that were the team behind the Tuscany
room, you know, the green kind of room.
And he knows like general contracting stuff.
So I think he saved me then he went home.
But I think he is somebody that should have stayed long.
and somebody that should only home.
Let's see.
Be nice.
I know.
You don't have to say.
I really do.
No, I think I think Alicia and Joan,
because they were so banded together,
they got themselves,
they both should not have made it far.
That was like, everyone was kind of like,
okay, we have to split them up.
So I think them as a couple shouldn't have made it as far as they did.
And Hootie, what was the hardest part for you,
getting everybody else's opinions or like what did you find difficult?
I mean, that is very hard.
In my mind, I was thinking, okay, if I can combine like treating this whole show like a
general contractor where like Sam's a pain or Sam is a builder, Brendan's a painter,
like they all have their own strengths.
Dean, let him go wild on something.
Hope it's cool.
And it's like treat it like that in the hospital.
So like that was something that is hard to do because I would.
in real life never have to do that because everyone's opinion is equal.
But it's also like that was something that I finally kind of,
I felt like I did well.
And what was the second part of your question?
What was the hardest part of the show for you?
The hardest part.
There was a couple elements.
There were a couple elements of the show that were very difficult.
And then I had some external life parts,
which I don't know if that's going to show tonight or not.
But we can get into that too.
So it was like, there were elements of the show that everything just switched.
You know, we would, they would, the producers would come in and say, all right, you guys have an hour to send someone home.
And the producers would leave.
I hated that part.
And we'd be like, wait, like, there's not even anyone in here making sure, like we have to vote in an hour anyways.
So stuff like that or, okay, challenge, a challenge, loser goes home, winner gets to have immunity.
It's like, oh, okay.
And then about midway through of the show, my mom had, I knew she was having some sort of health issues before.
She had an ultrasound that showed some hot spots and stuff.
And she was coming over and doing the song and everything before I left.
And then about midway through that show, I got a CT, actually.
And I know how to understand CT reports.
And it was pretty much me.
reading this thinking, okay, this is not even what I thought it was.
You know, this is past that point like this.
I debated going home, you know, and you don't know what's going on at home,
but she's got the whole family, you know, we've got 20 nieces or 20 grandkids she has.
So it's like, she's surrounded, you know, yeah, 11 kids.
So she's surrounded, but I was struggling because I'm talking to her and she's saying
everything's okay. But I'm like, you know different. I know you're going to die. You know,
I said that in the interview. Like, I don't know my mom will be able to watch this. And it's like,
so there were there are those things where it's like, okay. That's tough. I'm either,
I either need to do this or not. You know, I am having fun, but it's like, so once I kind of
decided like, okay, mom doesn't want me to come home. I'm just going to. And there was nothing you could do
to change it.
No, exactly.
No, it was, and she didn't, she had her own wishes.
And I'm like, however I can use the money to help, go do whatever treatments or whatever
you want to do, whatever you think is going to give you peace.
Because I, you know, I've, I've had the fortunate and unfortunate situation of seeing a lot
of people die just from my career.
And it's like, you need to make sure people have autonomy and peace.
And it's like, if I can do that and she was like, you know, win the show.
win the show.
Yes.
Dude, I'm going to win this show.
You know, so that kind of like switch.
That was like a pivotal switch.
I'm like, dude, I'm going to win this show.
And, you know, I don't even care.
We'll see what happens.
So it was a crazy show because it was something, you know, HGTV is something I've always
wanted to do.
I talked about it, you know, when I was in nursing school.
I'm like, yeah, you guys see me on HGTV.
I don't know when, but you will.
And it's like to get a bachelor, HGTV show, best news in my life.
Perfect, right.
Worst news in my life at the same time, you know, my mom is, you know, and my mom passed in October.
So we got time with her and I got to take care of her.
And it was a beautiful moment.
But it was still like trying, I'm trying to figure this out on a TV show.
Yeah.
I'm also trying to renovate and do interviews and like not crying my interviews.
And Joan and Alicia are pissing me off.
And it's like, you know, and Dean tried to send me home.
I'm like, this is, you know, I would always think like, I would love to do this show again.
not having all this stuff going on.
But then I'm like thinking about it,
I probably wouldn't have won or have the drive to win, you know?
And it's like, okay, oddly enough, it all worked out in it.
But I have a question.
Have you always been into this even during your career in the hospital?
Have you always enjoyed doing home renovation?
I love working with my hands.
I like being challenged.
We used my parents, you know, 11 kids, homeschool family.
We worked.
Home school.
They used to, most of us, you know, like we would work growing up doing, you know, stuff.
They would drop us up in a house and we would work, you know, stuff like that.
And then I kept up, you know, when I was 21, I bought my first house and did, you know, worked on it.
So you enjoy it, though.
Yeah, I love it.
And now it's something I get to do with my wife.
And it's like, and she loves it.
And she's taking design classes.
is and I'm like, this is all better than I for sure ever.
I see a future show coming up here.
I think, no, you're going to have to run if your wife comes to you, if Abby comes to you and says,
I think I want to put in a lot of arches.
You might want to rethink the whole.
I got to save arch.
She's not an arch person.
I had to convince her for the two.
We have like a half kind of arch.
She's not an arch person.
And she knows how to use a hammer.
So arches aren't safe around here.
You got to be careful.
Well, I think it's great that you, and I'm sure your mom was thrilled that you stayed, you know, for the end of the show.
And she knew you won, yeah.
A tough deal, but she knew you won.
I wish you would have got to watch it, obviously, but I did get to come home with, you know, I stole the briefcase of money.
They give us a briefcase of money.
I put that on my flight.
It's in Tulsa.
Obviously, I'm keeping that.
So I walked home with a silver, like, Howie Man, D.
Del had a briefcase of money.
Briefcase number one, number two.
Yeah.
And it was also good because I'm like, I got to be like, order your supplements.
Order whatever things you're doing because it's like this is a why anyways.
Yeah.
You're an amazing science.
It was awesome.
That's awesome.
That is awesome.
Wow.
What point did Joan leave?
It was fairly earlier.
Joan and Alicia left at the mixer room challenge where the girls versus the guys.
Yeah. Okay. And then they both left the same time.
It goes into me doing the mixer. Sam, we called it Sam Tarini. He did the San Tarini room and re-did that.
And Tammy got her own entry that hadn't been done. And then the winner that, or the loser of that one goes home, the winner's, you know, a duel in the kitchen.
And it's like, it didn't slow down. That's why I, all my friends, you know, told me the show.
They're like, we didn't even know what we were watching, but we loved it.
I know it was like dude same for me I'm watching it I'm like wait I actually love this show it's it's actually pretty hilarious I'm like this is great so all and all fantastic experience for me you know well if you get your own show decorating or building or I do not forget your small friends over here we'll come nothing small about us guy I never forget the little people you know that we're not little we're not small and we're not quiet and I would I'd like the record to show I would love my own show I'm trying to get
Abby convinced. So let's all convince Abby, comment on her Instagram. She doesn't have to do
anything. Just let me be the idiot. And she just makes fun of me and laughs like we do in real life.
Yes. We can help her with that.

Hey, Ernest, what's up?
Look, money is something we all deal with.
But financial literacy is what helps turn income into real wealth.
On each episode of the podcast, Earn Your Leisure,
we break down the conversations you need to understand money,
investing, and entrepreneurship.

Brown,
who broke the explosive story,
on Jeffrey Epstein in 2018.
These victims have been let down time and time again for decades and decades and decades
by local law enforcement, by federal law enforcement, by administration after administration.
The Justice Department through, I think we counted four presidential administrations, failed these victims.

Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHeart Podcasts presents Soccer Moms.
So I'm Leanne.
This is my best friend Janet.
And we have been joined at the hips since high school.
Absolutely.
Now a redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip.
Just a little bit bigger hips, wider.
This is a podcast.
We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey.
With all the snacks and drink.
Sidebar.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
They had a bogo.
Well, then you got it.
Do you want a white color or something here?
Just take it.
Oh, what are y'all doing?
Microphones?
Are you making a rap album?
Oh, I would.
Come on.
How did you believe?
I would buy it.
Cuts through the defense like a hot knife through sponge cake.
That sounds delicious.
Oh, you're lucky.
I'm not a drug addict.
You're lucky I'm not an alcoholic.
You are.
I'm not a killer.
I love this team, and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on.
Oh.
Listen to soccer moms on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
All right.
Well, we need your help here, Noah, because every week we answer some questions, and this is our Renno edition.
So we're hoping that you might have some thoughts here.
Okay.
I need help because I think I've made a huge mistake.
I painted my living room this fun, bold green that looked amazing in the sample, but now that it's on
all four walls, it literally looks like a highlighter exploded in my apartment. I keep telling myself
to trust the process, but it's been a week and I still hate it. Is there a way to tone it down
without fully repainting? Or is this one of those situations where I just have to be it?
have to accept defeat and start over.
Courtney.
Thanks, Courtney.
Hi, Courtney.
Thank you for tuning in to Delilah.
I'm going to take this from the top.
I got to say we were in that same situation.
On this show, Sam painted, it was supposed to be a moody green, it was Yoda green,
and it didn't look good.
I'm not disin Sherwin Williams, they were a great sponsor, it wasn't a good paint selection.
And you know what?
You can try to tone it.
it down, but if in my mind, if you're going to take the time to do all the work, because you
have four walls there, you might as well change it to something you like because it's not
going anywhere and you don't want to be in a highlighted room if you hate it. So, Courtney, call me up.
I'll drop my email later. Me and my wife will be over there soon for our first episode of
Noah and Abby take on Renaud. Thanks for tuning in.
In other words, start over, Courtney.
or call no one happy.
Either way, it works, either way.
But I do have a question.
When does a simple, do-it-yourself refresh,
officially become a full renovation?
At the point where you don't have a plan,
where you've started, it becomes a full renovation.
If you started something and you didn't have a plan
and it grew and it got out of hand.
You see how that rhymed?
my life. You do one little thing and now the whole room has to change. At that point, you're in a full
renovation. It's better to take a step back and let do the parts you can and hire somebody
because you're, you need a new house at that point. Yeah. So. Kathy, when we get our beach house,
are you going to let me decorate or are you going to hire? No, I'm calling No one abbey.
Yeah. They're going to do it for free as an advertisement for the new show they're going to have.
399 if I get a bed out in one of the rooms. That's all. You got it. It's a deal.
Fresh towels, linens.
This has been so much fun answering, having your expertise here, Noah.
You can submit your burning questions to us and Noah by going to bachelornation.com
slash golden hour and come back each week and see if we answer yours.
Because if it has to do with decorating, the answer is always golden arches.
All right.
So we have time.
We have time.
We're going to do a game here.
What do you say, Susan?
Yes.
Renovation rapid fire.
You ready?
This is a game where you pick this or that, okay, when it comes to home,
Reservations.
Is this secretly one of your houses and you're trying to just get me the anxiety?
Okay, I'll go first.
Open floor plan or defined rooms.
I think it depends on how big the house is.
But if you have a small house, open it up because it'll make it feel bigger.
If you have the space, make them defined and make them more intense.
I think it goes a lot further.
Okay.
Okay.
White kitchen or bold color cabinets?
It's just, I think a white kitchen is, I think a white kitchen is fine if you're going to do,
because we go white kitchen and do bold countertop.
Anything else.
Let just leave the cabinets, not bold.
Let those just be functional.
Marble countertops or butcher block.
Oof.
Marble, I think butcher block.
It's cool.
It'll get old, right?
It does get old.
It wears down marble, can stain, and it can be a hassle, but it's stone.
Butcher Block actually can kind of harbor bacteria, too.
Yeah.
Okay.
Demo day or final reveal?
What do you like better?
I love a demo day.
I've put my uncle No No Hat on, and I just go crazy.
It saves me so much money.
It's the most fun I've ever had.
I normally drink a little tequila.
Bring on a demo day.
Yay.
Budget, friends.
or luxury splurge?
I think it depends on where, what kind of house that is to you.
If it's a house, you think you're going to be there for 10 years plus splurge a little bit.
Budget for it and then splurge on a couple things.
We just bought our first fancy rug the other day.
You know, I'm 31.
First time, I hope to have it 10 years.
It was worth the splurge.
You will.
Like it.
All right, I'm jumping around here because these are things I need answered.
farmhouse sink or a modern stainless sink?
Oh man.
I think now the modern stainless sinks have all these attachments that are amazing.
And they're so worth it.
You can have cutting boards, draining.
They make all sorts of attachments.
It's worth it.
You can still make it not look too spaceshipy.
Neutral tones or statement colors.
Oh, you got to combine, though.
That's the secret sauce.
Keep it all, keep things mostly neutral and then have a couple of statement.
Shout out to Courtney's fireplace.
It looks a lot better after I change the paint and knock down Alicia's, you know?
It's his place.
It's his thing.
Let me just say, no, you might need a bodyguard after Alicia and Joe, listen to this.
Okay, how about this one?
Because some of these are my favorites.
Vintage thrifted or brand new?
I bet you like a mix.
I'm a huge sucker.
Look at me. Look at this shirt. I'm a huge sucker for vintage. We actually, unless it's a great brand, we buy things off marketplace. And they're so cool. They're made better. Refinish it, do whatever. Pay somebody to refinish it. We love thrifting stuff. That's high quality.
wallpaper or paint? Abby and I almost got divorced before we were even. Actually, I think we just got married. We almost got divorced from doing wallpaper because it's the worst thing I've ever done at my mind.
life. So I'm going to go paint.
Thank God. Me too. I'm right
the way there. Okay, what about this? I struggle
with this. Smart home tech
or old school fixtures?
Personally, I get that
people don't like the smart home tech
and you think it's weird. You think the government's
watching you and it's giving you all the
kids. I like it. Give me a robot. My house
is linked to Alexa. My light
switches are Lutron. I haven't
this finger hasn't touched the light switch.
in two years.
Well, I have all that.
Alexa, turn off the light.
It wasn't crazy expensive and it's like the greatest thing I've ever done.
But what about the iPad things that are on the wall?
That stuff I have.
I'm talking about the really high-tech stuff where you can.
Some of it's on the front of the refrigerator, right?
I don't think all that's worth it because it costs so much.
If you're talking about higher end than what I was just talking about,
I don't think that's all worth it because it costs so much to get it repaired.
Yeah.
Yeah, all of those systems are so expensive to get me.
My Alexa's name is Ziggy.
I changed her name.
Yeah, you got a person.
Every light on dims them.
I love it.
I love it.
I don't even want to ask you this one.
Fix her upper or move in ready.
I'm a fix her up her all day.
I knew that.
I like a, yeah, I like a lady that could use a little bit of work.
Not Abby.
Abby was perfect, obviously.
Not that lady.
But a little bit of work and I got it.
I got it figured out, you know.
I'm curious.
How long do you guys think you'll stay in that?
house you're in because you spent when you told me like two years doing it right i think we're going to be
here a long time we're going to have kids hopefully you know i would love to start having you know kids this
year and we want you know a few kids here to the house wait do you want to break wait do you want to break
the news is is abby pregnant you want to have you know no no is she's not do you know something i don't
know just trying to start a rumor there no no no i i think we're going to be here for a long time
We want to we have this little vision that we walk around our house that we did everything to.
It looks really nice.
And we tell our kids that and it's just cool.
And you're completely done now.
Everything you wanted to do is finished.
Yeah.
Never.
No.
Never.
Never finished.
We are doing the yard.
Abby's getting a new bathroom.
We're doing the yard finally because we spend tons of time and then my garage because I'm obviously gaslighting into her letting me garage simulator.
So here's a here's the deal.
I want to come play on that.
Really?
Here's the deal. Houses are never finished. Friendships are never finished, but this podcast, unfortunately, is finished. And we just want to thank you, Noah, for joining us on Bachelor Golden Hour. Where can our listeners follow you if they aren't already so they can see what you're doing in your life?
Very smooth to you, Kathy. Way to set that up. You can find me at Noah underscore Herb, and I think Abby is the same. It's her last name for someone.
and last day. And we're doing tons of fun stuff. This is like what we love to do. So this has been
great. Thanks for having me on. Absolutely. I think I'm going to tune in. I might get ideas from this guy.
And make sure to rate, review, and subscribe wherever you listen to podcast.
And you can follow us on social media at Bachelor Happy Hour and at Bachelor Nation.
