I'm like, I'm a little nervous and a great way for this episode because this is about to be our FaceTime catch up. Oh, hello. Rach, we're Terry and I have been planning to FaceTime. It's been like, no, no, we'll text each other like, hey, we should call you. I'm like, never do. And she's like, she's like, oh, I'm working nightship. I'm like, Okay, well, call me tomorrow. And then I'm like, oh, so sorry. Like, I either forgot or I'm like, just kidding.

I actually have a meeting. It's insane. And I'm like, this has been long overdue. So. And we like, I'm Ph. Oh, actually, I can't see you. I said, okay, that's fine. No, it somehow, I'm like, the universe doesn't want us to align right now.

And that's all right. Because in due time. Because it needs to happen right here. And thank you guys for allowing me to be in the presence of this FaceTime. I am so excited because Rachel, it has been a minute. since we have seen you on TV. First of all, why is that, will it ever change? And how has life been since?

Life's been full of a lot of ups and downs in the best way possible, I think. I would love to be back on TV. I think in the dating capacity. I don't think that's meant for me. Throw me in, like, amazing race. You know, throw me in, like, a military show where I need to survive. Let me show you my skills. But dating, I don't know if that would be an option for me.

Still single, if you can't tell. So why then? Because you just said you're single. Right. And you did so well the first time. Why not a second? I don't know. I'm really more focused on, I'm back in nursing.

And I started my little nursing Pilates brand that's been taking up a lot of my time. So that's kind of my boyfriend right now, I guess. still a single mom to my child, Noah, who is listening attentively on the bed. Yeah, I don't know. Why? Is there a show? Tell me what show. I mean, Paradise.

I heard, I heard that's her in paradise. Is renewed just in case you didn't hear that one? It is. Okay. Okay, here's the thing, though. Charity knows this. Y'all can't have me go, and if the list isn't good, I'm not going. Do you know what I'm saying?

Like, I'm not going to go, and they're all foul. Well, I would never entertain nor support such a thing. You know me. So if I have any say in it, my girl needs some good guys. So I'm actively recruiting and, you know, putting a word in or two. Right, because Rachel, it's so crazy that even though a season isn't airing right now, me and Charity had the honor of meeting so many incredible men from Taylor's season. So what would it take to get you on the beaches of paradise next year?

What is a characteristic or what do you want to see in someone in Parish? Because a lot of these men are men of faith. They have jobs. What are you looking for? Are they men of faith? Because I feel like some of them say that and charity knows who. It's just, you know, and it doesn't, it doesn't, it's not aligning with. Got to come back. But, yeah, I am. Man of faith is my number one. I don't hide that. I love, I love the Lord. I need someone who's confident in themselves because I feel like I have a lot of good things coming for me. and I between the show and now I have talked to men or tried to get to know guys and very quickly

I learned that what I'm working on almost diminishes what they do and they weren't in a sense and I think that's why I've been unsuccessful in dating is because they realize like oh she has she's like a lot of goals and she's doing all these things and because they haven't gotten there it makes them feel smaller than me so I think I need someone who's just more secure in themselves who's willing to lead and be independent in their own because I'm very independent, amongst many things. That's just the few. Yeah. So I do have a question because I obviously know more information than most, but are you

opposed to dating within Bachelor Nation? Like where do you stand with that? No, no, no, no. I think there's always, you know, one good human in a pile of mud. So I think that I, you know, there's, I'm never. always open. Yeah. Whatever is in store for me. Have I been successful? No. But still hopeful. Okay. I want to take this back. You said previously that there are men who said that they are men of faith, but maybe necessarily it's not aligning. What do you mean by that? And is it anyone

possibly that we could know? Yeah. I have nothing. I'm not going to say their name because I have nothing. bad to say about this person. I will always, always have love for him. I think certain things were handled differently than I would have. And Charity was... Like what things? I just think we were very close. We were really good friends. And the way I would have quote ended the friendship, I would have handled it differently. I am very loyal to my friends. and I think there's someone who's come in my life where we need distance. I always respect the person I've known longer, and I think I would have had more of a conversation or just shown my appreciation for that person.

And I don't think I received that from this person that was so close to. But again, I've nothing bad to say about him. Always will love him. And if he sees this, so sorry. But, you know, we had a good friendship that no longer, I think, exists anymore. And at the end of the day, I think it made me feel like I meant nothing to this person when we did a lot together. My family loved him and adored him. Still does. But and then when faith is put into it, I pulled you at a higher standard and standard that I don't see something my dad would

do because he's my best example of a man. I take that very personal. And so I'll love to this individual. Yeah, that was my question. Do you guys still communicate, if any? No, there's no communication. Wow. Or turkey. You said that he wasn't loyal in the sense of what loyalty to you? No, I think my loyalty to my friends is that if I know we have a closeness and I know we spend a lot of time together, if something were to change my first priority before distancing myself is to making sure that person is okay. and I didn't receive that.

So it sucked. It hurt, you know. I was like, you know, I'm very hurt. Now I'm getting over it. And I, you know, again, I always will respect him and have love for him. But if things aren't handled the way that I think I should have handled it, it just kind of stings a little bit. Yeah. Do you feel like there's ever, or do you feel like there's room for reconciliation or for things to,

maybe hopefully be mended yeah yeah i mean i'll see him again at some wedding and um yeah yeah it'll i have no hostility or i'm not if i were to see i'd never be angry again i absolutely i hope he's so happy with what he's doing um but i'm always open to being friends again if that's a possibility, but if it's not, I'm also okay because I've taken the time to be like, it's really fine things happen. And I still have friends who've supported me through it, even though maybe I'm more affected than this than he is. But yeah, I'm never, it's never a closed door. You mentioned that he had met your parents. That's a pretty big step. Yeah, because we were, we were really good friends. It wasn't like, it wasn't like he met a couple. No, no, no, no, no, no.

my family, also in Hawaii, everyone is like, obviously my parents met Charity and Don. They got obsessed with Charity and Dot. Literally love. It's disgusting how much they love them. But, you know, in Hawaii, everyone meets everyone's parents and instantly you're just taken in. That's just how it is. So for my family, it's like once you meet a friend of mine, instantly, they're just going to want to take care of you. And so when somebody abruptly changes, they're like, wait, what happened?

Like, they're like my son. So they were very sad about that as well because they, you know, they just thought they were okay. And it is okay because let me tell you something. What's next? We'll be what's next and we'll be greater. So with that being said, when do you feel like you are ready to put yourself back out? Like obviously you mentioned that you have a lot of projects, a lot of goals, things happening. But is there a desire or you're just like, honestly, no.

Like I don't want to date right now. have no interest like i would i'm i'm okay i'm covered right i am exhausted mama's getting up at 4 30 do you know i'm saying she's working 13 hours you know she got a dog so i am so ready to date i just would rather be single until it's worth it and i see some of my friends who are dating or engage or whatever and they tell me things i'm like oh i would rather just really really really wait But I have found myself lately because I'm going to be 30 soon. I have found myself feeling a little sad sometimes like, all my friends are dating and they're engaged,

having kids and buying houses. And I'm over here working on my little projects here and there. So I do find myself sometimes almost sad a little bit because you always think you're going to be somewhere that you're not. But then I look back a year ago and I'm way farther than I was a year ago. But yeah, I am ready to date if you know. one. It doesn't send me a resume.

I just turned 30 and it felt like I had this like midlife crisis because dating in California is so difficult. So I'm curious, how are you meeting guys when you do come across them? Are you on the apps or is it more in person? Oh, so, right.

So LA, we don't date in LA, sister. No, yeah. We don't do that. No, no, no. So people don't understand. So I live in OC now. And so it's a little bit different here. I have met people when I go out to events or through friends.

My one girlfriend ran a hinge for me for a little bit. And I did meet a guy in OC and we dated for two, two and a half months. And then cold turkey, nothing. So, yeah. Was that his doing it was cold turkey? No, we talked about ending things because I was like, it's not working. And it was totally fine. Be friends because I think being friends first is way better.

You know, you have a foundation. So we decided to be friends and then one day it just stopped. And I'll, and I'll just, okay, cool. That's totally fine. So right now I don't, I don't, I'm not meeting. I'm not meeting. I don't know how, right. You mean, you're in L.A.

So it's like. I haven't been on a date in over a year. Like, truly, it's difficult out here. And you said you were on the apps for. a second, but the guys on the apps aren't necessarily great. How are you feeling about reality TV, you guys? Because we do have some of them out here. Would you ever date someone who was on another show?

I would. I would. You know who, okay, so I don't watch reality TV. If you guys are watching Love Island, I know he has a girlfriend, so whatever. But my friend messaged me this picture of this guy. Oh my gosh. He was sent home and then came back because the girl, the guy that she chose was bad. he was Asian and white. I don't know what he's name is. This season? Carl.

Carl. Yes. So my friends, I mean. Oh my gosh. She was like, she's like, can you please find him? I want you guys to go on a date. And I was like, girl, I don't know who this man is. And I was like, girl. I'm like, no, he's totally wiped up with some girl, I think, from the show. So I was like, well, I was like, yeah. She sent me a photo. And she's like, you guys would be so cute together. I'm like, right. Right. If he was single sister. Like, let's be. Hello. Very key. And we will wait. Well, wait, because they don't have the best track record. Me and Charity just realized there's no one together from last season. So maybe just a couple months. Yeah. So, yeah, I'm like, this season I'm giving them X amount of, I hate to even say that. I'm like, I don't want to give people a timeline.

But that's the reality. But he is the one that's like number one on my list. And I'm like, if there is any great guys, it would be him. Because we obviously seen it on Love Island. We've seen his character. We've seen how he like, obviously handled his situation with Anaya. That's who he's with. So I'm holding out, but not holding my breath at the same time.

I don't know anything about him. My friend is texting me and she's like, he works out a lot and you work out. And, like, I forgot what she said. He seemed really sweet on the show. I don't know. She watched them. But no, I'm not against someone who did reality TV. As long as you don't want to be the center of attention more than I shouldn't.

Yeah. And, you know, that comes, it's a strange territory. I feel like they're the perfect example. It's a perfect example. He just don't care. Hello. Whenever I've been with Don and Charity, you know, Charity's out here, you know, she's taking her content and Dotton's just. Oh, like actually, yes, Rachel, he really couldn't care.

He could actually hit him and his big self. He's like up there looking at like looking up at this guy. I'm like brother. And he's just. No, he really is in his own zone. And I respect that as much as he respects what I'm doing. And it works. So, hey.

It's a different, you know, area code where he stands because he's so high up. Like, Charity's just literally doing her own thing. Homeboy, literally, it's, I love it. It literally works. I do have a question about dating and obviously dating, whether that's someone from reality TV or just a regular person. Are you prepared for someone or has this happened to where someone's like, I remember you or I recognize you from The Bachelor? Like, what is your response to that? Like, how do you handle those situations?

Okay, so it happened to me for the first time. The time that my friend did my hinge and I met the guy and we dated for a couple months, first of all, he was so sweet. He literally drove an hour to take him on my first date, opened every car door. He was so, I have nothing bad to say about him, a little Southern boy. But we went on our first date. We went on our first date and we were mini golfing. And so I'm going.

And this girl was like, Rachel. And so I said, I said, no. I was like, no, it's me. I get that all the time. It's crazy. I'm so bad because I was like, I don't want to come up. You don't know what that person is. So I was like, oh, no.

And she's like, from The Bachelor, right? I loved your season. Can we take a picture? Actually, she's like, it's okay. It's okay. I was like, oh, and so he's standing there and he thought we were just friends because he didn't fully, I guess, hear the end of two and I thought he heard.

So I walked away and he's like, are you good? Isn't that your friend? And I was like, oh, no, we'll just talk about it later. So later on in the night, he's like, what was that about? And then I said, oh, I was on a reality TV show. He's like, no way. I said, yeah, I did The Bachelor. And he goes, okay, that's okay.

Oh. And every date after, some, it's, they would come up. It was so random. They'd like, can we take a photo? And he's like, I've never realized that the Bachelor is that big of a franchise. And I said, yeah, I'm any of the brother. So, wait, I'm so curious, though, because it, never came up before you guys had the first date like he never that's so interesting it's hard to

bring it up and you i feel like for me it's do you want to bring that up would i be the type of person to date if i'm putting that as the first thing okay so my mom's tough my mom's at church trying to find me a husband that's actually probably the perfect place your mom at church and she's doing the lord's work but then she told me she met this guy she called me she's like rachel i met this guy six three like you're type to a t you know palm shaded plays volleyball like all the things and then she goes well we told him you were on the show and i said i was like why did you tell him that he's like why she's like i mean you're famous i said no no no no no no some people take that as oh you're that desperate to find someone like you don't know how someone is a brink show and so now

when i meet people and they ask for my instagram i just always say you can have it just don't look too deep into it if you find anything about me because because I don't know how they're going to respond. And so I had one guy, he found my Instagram. He's like, oh, so is this like your thing? Like, you just like to post pictures. I was like, yes, he is instantly. Oh, you know.

Oh, well, that's a message. Yeah. And so what if I do so? Hey, so you're ugly. Got it. So you want to do. Got it. Oh, that's crazy.

It's interesting how to handle it. Yeah, I think it's a really good conversation for everyone who's single in this space because it's like do you bring it up on the first date? Do you not? Because I have dates where I have brought it up like right away and dates when I've waited. And the times I've waited, it almost felt like you were hiding something. That's why I'm getting that. Yeah. I don't know how. I'm like, that's why I'm asking because I'm like, obviously I've never been in that position, but I'm like, I feel like I would just come out the gate. Like, this is what it is. Because I don't want anything to be uncovered. I hate saying that, but like uncovered or like,

thinking that they found something about me. It's like, no, here's it all. And if you like it, you like it. You know, I feel like it also saves time too, because if I got a response, like, that guy gave you, I see you later. But I think you can figure it out, like, if you just Google my name, they're, I mean, that's right. Yeah, I feel like we're all in this, like, age of internet where it's like, okay, I'm going to do some research on who I'm going on a date with. At least I am. I have this friend, and he's like, oh, can I call you? I'm in a meeting. He's like, yeah but you're a nurse like why do you have a meeting at 10 a.m.

And I was like, oh, no, it's a meeting for like this plan for this Pilates thing that I have coming up and he's like, oh, it's like they have so many questions.
