This is an I-Heart podcast.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, host of the Psychology Podcast.
Here's a clip from an upcoming conversation about how to be a better you.
When you think about emotion regulation, you're not going to choose an adaptive strategy which is more effortful to use unless you think there's a good outcome.
Avoidance is easier.
Ignoring is easier.
Denials is easier.
Complex problem solving.
Takes effort.
Listen to the psychology podcast on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Bachelor Happy Hour.
We are back again.
I'm one of your host, Becca Kufrin.
And I am your other host, Michelle Young.
And before we started recording this, we have been chatting for about an hour about Michelle and her dating life and how she's got to get back on the horse.
It's going to be a fun one.
a very fun episode this week because I think Michelle's ready. I'm ready. We're of course
going to talk about everything that went down in paradise. And then we have a very fun guest.
We sure do. And I think part of it is the fact that I didn't even know what time it is,
but I've already, I'm like on my second Celsius today. So I'm feeling amped. I don't know if that's
like a positive thing or if that just shows how much life is in shambles right now. But this week has
been crazy. It's crazy on the beach. It's crazy on the screen. And holy hell, it's crazy off the
screen as well. So there's a lot of trouble that's going on. There's a lot of stuff going on behind
the scenes. And I also feel like our audience and like Bachelor Nation has probably like the most
in depth behind the scenes extra info that they've ever had with social media this season.
What would you say? Oh, 1,000 percent. And well, that's a great segue to introduce.
our guests that will be coming on shortly
because I'm going to
timestamp this a little bit
but this past week was when
the Paradise Reunion was filmed
so everyone from the show was in town
in L.A. They of course spent
the day filming in front of the live audience
but then I
heard some rumors through the grapevine of them
taking this party elsewhere
and everyone going out and all of the
crazy dramatics had occurred
outside of TV lands
like on everyone's own time.
And so we're going to bring actually Rachel on very shortly to talk about what she witnessed go down.
Luckily, she like wasn't part of the Paradise cast, but she was still there amongst everyone.
And so I can't wait to have her on, pick her brain about what we saw with her and Gabby in the teaser for next week.
They're about to hit the beach.
And according to Rachel herself, she said Paradise is never going to be the same.
But before we bring her in here, Michelle, how's it going?
You're finally back in L.A.
You're luckily weren't in the midst of all this drama this past weekend, though.
You know, I will say, no, I was not in the midst of this drama in L.A.,
but I've just been everywhere besides L.A.
Legitimately made a goal to be in L.A.
So that I can, like, really start getting my feet grounded here.
But I came back just in time just for everybody from Paradise to be here.
lovely
love that so I was not in the midst of all of it
my girl Ryan Ryan Claytor she was in town this weekend
we were on our way to link up and then we we made a quick U-turn
when you heard who was all going to be at these parties when we heard yeah you know
we don't yeah you know we don't always need to be there sometimes it's fun being part of this
crazy vaccination and sometimes you just need to take a step back and be like i don't want to
touch this with a 10 foot pole no and it's just also there's just times where it's like sometimes
it's just not it's not worth it it's like you just i have no phoma when it comes to these
situations right like all of this drama all of these things like just
antics that are happening and just taking place, it's like, I don't need to be at the center of this
or anything like that. But it's just, it never stops. And I think what's hard to is in the day
of social media, somebody always catches it. And so we can only be so mad, but like, you know you go
on public, you know, you go on public with all these other people. Like, people take pictures. People
are aware who you're with. People are aware who are they in. People are watching your every move.
People know. Yeah. You know, I don't need to walk into a party full of my exes.
I know 1,000. You're like, I've already filmed the mental all on my season. I don't even do that again.
Right. Right. Exactly. No, I really do. I really do love, you know, some of them, but, you know,
you don't need to be around others. Yeah. Yeah, I get it. It was a lot. I mean, and I don't know if people
read spoilers or like, even if you're on social media, there's a lot that was just put out there.
in general. So like you said, I think viewers are probably even more spoiled than they've ever
been. Really? You can't avoid it. The reunion is going to be wild. I can't wait till we actually
see it and get that the episode to see all, well, not even all, part of what went down. But yeah,
let's get into just this episode from last night. It was kind of a heavier one. I feel like
it really left, at least like me personally, like feeling kind of down. There,
was like a lot that went down and it was just heavy so overall like what were your thoughts on
the drama like i want to get into some of the kate hayden logan stuff yeah wow okay well i don't know
if it's because i've been through this process or watching it on tv or however many i'd be
curious of like listeners if they pick up on this stuff too but when an episode starts off with
some and feeling confident about the relationship.
Like, Logan's like, we made it past all of, you know, the speed bumps.
And it's like, you just like hear the music and you're like, okay, something's going to happen here.
And it's like the same thing happened with Rodney of like the, like they really play on like
the fact that this person felt so confident.
And it's like, you know that it's like potentially going to go the other direction.
It's always short-lived.
It's always so short-lived.
and, like, so intentional, I feel like, of just how it plays out.
But, wow, the whole Logan Kate thing, what are you, I want to know your thoughts on this.
Because, so we had Kate on the podcast a couple weeks ago.
A couple weeks ago.
I feel like after that podcast, you know, you Beck and I, you and I kind of had a little bit of time to talk afterwards.
And it was just for me, I think the biggest, like.
I know what's a different what's a different word for red flag I can't keep using red flag
biggest um like well concern I guess yeah I guess you know what I mean like what I mean like what
wasn't sitting well with me was that still was the Sheney situation was when Shanae was trying
to walk away Kate had a smile on her face and kept like seeking her out and it was very in
this like for me anyways it came off in this very like taunting way of like
establishing dominance in like who has the power and that's what i feel like we're kind of seeing
this week again is you know it it really truly is fine that she has standards she wants somebody
who is you know uh either whatever certain age financial set okay okay i got it but that does
not mean that you are better than logan that doesn't mean that you have more value than logan
because i feel felt like this is a situation like her comment about like well he can't even
the equinox and I'm like okay now so what you're saying is I can't even afford equinox I was like
what I right but like now I mean shit if I'm like also like a bachelor nation watcher I'm like
oh so if you can't afford equinox you are now on a different level no like that's not I don't do
that yeah and it's I think for me what really rub me the wrong way with their situation was like
none of that was really relayed to Logan or Hayden right like it was more so like her with her
girls having girl chats, but also, like, at some point, like, that's pretty unfair to Logan, too.
Like, if you're looking for a partner that, you know, has this, like, certain level of finances and,
like, independence relay that. Like, you, at the end of this show, like, the goal is to find a partner
or to fall in love or to get engaged. Like, unless you're direct with what you're exactly looking for,
like he, Logan was totally in the blue about any of this. Like, he thought the name was.
good at that point like you saw it on his face when she handed in that rose and said like you have a
lot to work on do better he he was so taking it back and so that's where I felt for him of like he everyone
needs to be on the same page here and they're not and it just is going to get even messier yeah let's get
into the biggest mess of this week and that is between Justin Rodney and Eliza I need to say I did
not let Thomas watch this episode because he considers Rodney like a little brother.
Like he, even though they're the same age, I don't even know why I'm saying that.
But like, the same sentiment, like, he would have been fuming.
I will say, I felt for Rodney in those moments.
Like, I truly felt like he was shocked.
He was not expecting that conversation to happen.
And it was a tough one to see him go.
I mean, and I don't think we've ever seen the show on a level where other people are crying and, like, most of the cast is visibly distraught when one person's leaving.
I will say that I got choked up watching this just because it's like, you know, Rodney and I have natural barriers, right, with just things.
But, like, I obviously still want the best for him and, you know, miss him as a friend and things like that.
And so, like, to see him hurt like that and to see him be so understanding with Eliza, like, truly just so respectful, understanding, like, we can get through this.
Let's work through this.
And, like, for them to, for him to go through all that stress to then come back to this heartbreak and see that, it's like, oh, my God, like, gut wrenching.
Yeah.
Completely gut-runching.
And I know for a lot of the viewers, I mean, we always get this every season.
people are like, there's no way somebody feels that strongly, like in such a short amount
of time. But like, keep in mind when you're on Paradise, you have basically all day, every
day to spend moments with whoever you're trying to get to know and pursue and date. And so
without a job. Yeah, without a job, without any distractions. Like, you are literally just with them
on the beach. And, and I think taking it back to like the beginning of their relationship, like,
sure, it wasn't long. But like, keep in mind, when they first,
met like their first state they had talked about going to europe together they had talked about
meeting families like they had like really solidified this connection fresh out the gate and like talked
about serious stuff and like made future plans and so now that's where i could see like why
rodney was so heartbroken because like in his mind he's like yes this is a future like we are
making tangible plans to be a couple outside of this beach and i everything was just shaking up it was
it was so so sad to watch like poor rodney honestly like i texted him i was like get ready buckle up
for the hashtag rodney for bachelor campaign to start tuesday morning because i feel like
america's just going to feel for him yeah i just i mean he just he is such a great person
and it has been nice seeing him on the sand i think you know bachelor nation's going to really miss
seeing him every week there
as well and just it's it is it's just like everyone was so heartbroken because he is very
genuine you know um with all of that i was i was kind of hoping it was nice to see him on there
away from somebody else it was nice to see old rodney i get it it's you're in a tough position
because obviously you had dated him at one point you then became friends and now like he is best
friends with your ex it's just a tricky situation but that doesn't
diminish like him as a person. No, I literally, no. I truly like, I guess, I mean, two things
that is from life that really like from any relationship is, uh, yeah, Rodney and Percy. That's it,
though. Two great things. Two great things, you know. I get it. Well, with that, I mean,
there, like, wasn't really much else to paradise other than the two things we just got into.
Honestly, thank God.
Because with everything going on outside Paradise, it's a lot in this week of everything, Paradise.
I really want to bring Rachel on to pick her brain about, I mean, just her in general, how life is after the Bachelorette.
Like, she's living in L.A. So much has changed for her. So, I mean, and honestly, the last time we spoke with her was at AFR.
We saw everything that went down during that crazy finale.
And she's just, I feel like she's just in probably now a totally different headspace now that she's a little, little slightly removed.
So let's just bring her on.
Let's get our girl on here.
Woo!
Wow.
Rachel, welcome back to Happy Hour.
We're so excited to have you.
I have so many questions that I want to ask you and have from.
them probably can't even air on here. So we'll have to put a little girl's night.
But I was telling Michelle, I keep picturing, like, I feel like you're just going to walk down
her stairs, like through the door. Like, the fact that you go up to Zoom in, I'm like, she's probably
just sleeping over with Michelle right now. She's upstairs. No, the amount of times I've been to your
apartment at this point is probably more than mine. Yeah, newsmash for everyone. Michelle is renting
out my place in L.A. I don't know if people have pieced it together. So we're
basically all going to move in and it'll be like three's company with three of us girls and then
Thomas can just come in and bring us Taco Bell whenever we need it coming out perfect
I'm not online has been asking me like are Rachel Michelle roommates like basically
you should be you should be at this point because then I can upcharge the rent a little bit so
you should just move in no sorry speaking of that Michelle you got to pay me I know I know I've just
remembered. Oh my God. I wish I could see my landlord. What'd you say?
I wish Becca was my landlord. I could be. This is such an easy fix. Literally. Yeah. I'm going to say.
Let's go. Let's go. Rachel, okay, the last time we had you on Happy Hour, though, was, well, not to
bring up old wounds, was during AFR of your season. Since then, how have you been? You've obviously
moved to L.A. Life is different. Like, take us through how you've been since that last interview we had
with you. It's so crazy because it really feels like our interview was yesterday, but it really
went so long ago. So obviously I talked to you guys right before the finale. That was a whirlwind
going through everything after. I got to go to Vegas with Michelle right after. And so it's just
been kind of settling into life after everything and trying to get my bearings. But I just moved
to L.A. I live with Genevieve, who's on Paradise this season. And we've been having a great time,
but still trying to, you know, settle in and figure out a new city. But it's been great.
Did Michelle ever tell you that after the finale, like, you had a flight in New York, obviously,
so you were busy, couldn't be part of this. We stayed up and partied with your parents.
Tell the bar clothes. And your friends. And your friends, too. We were dancing all night long.
Like, I woke up and I shouldn't even admit this, but, like, didn't remember half the night. And I was like,
it was a blast no i'm so jealous i was on the flight to new york and i was just getting pictures
from my dad like him and michel and kately bristow and i'm like they're literally having the time
of their life right now in that life i was so good i just remember like i feel like i vaguely
remember like your dad just like feeding me a friendship bride
your mom and i taking selfies like it was like it was just it was a night it was a great night to
yeah, be able to just sit down with them and talk with them. We definitely, um, we definitely
celebrated you and your season with your family. So do not worry.
Yeah. It was, it was actually once we got away from the stage and just had your family and
drinks and some food, it was, it was the best way to end what was like probably the most crazy finale we've ever seen.
Yeah. Okay. So you're in California now. You just mentioned you're living with Genevieve. What made you decide to move here in the first place?
Well, it was kind of just such a last minute decision. So obviously, I'm a pilot. I'm still flying. And I just wanted to move to a place where I could do that all the time. So Florida is a good place in California as well. And so kind of when everything was going down behind the scenes, Genevieve's like, hey, like, I'm moving, like what you want to live together. And I'm
was just like you know what yeah like let's just do it and so it was super last minute but i think
it was exactly what i needed at the time and what i still need and for us to be able to live together
and go through this together it's been it's been really fun and honestly like i'm really just
excited to be out here i mean you got settled in real quick with like embracing your whole
california beach babe with those bikini photos yes girl i don't even remember where
I was when I saw I was like no she didn't I know I was like she didn't I was like damn
Rachel and I'm single hinge profile right there yeah yeah so it was just crazy getting out here
and it still be like literally behind me there's like a bunch of stuff that we still haven't hung up
and just getting settled but it really was the best thing for my mind like especially after going
through a breakup and going through such a crazy season to like kind of just get a fresh start
and be able to go somewhere new. I mean, it's been really awesome. Michelle, obviously, you know
as well. And having Michelle out here is going to be so Becca needs to visit us more.
I will. I know. I do with L.A. I, well, it kind of like you two, I went through, I mean,
this was a couple years ago, I went through my breakup and that's when I decided to move to L.A.
I was like, I need a clean slate. I need like my own area that I can like make my own new memories.
And so L.A. was like the best fresh start. There's something always going on. It's just so fun, so eclectic. So I need to ask you this, though, because now, like, we'll see you in Paradise and we'll get into that, like your little appearance that you did. But you, for the most part, like, this season, you're not a part of. Like, you're removed from the drama. You're obviously living with Genevieve. So I'm sure you're still watching Paradise and watching your friend. How nice is it, though, to be able to relax a little bit more.
not be the focus of a show.
It is the best feeling in the world to watch and, like, know all my best friends and
see everyone and not be a part of it.
It's just, I mean, obviously, I'm so thankful for my, like, time as the Bachelorette and for
everything, but it's been really nice to not have to go through it because it's hard.
Watching back is arguably harder than living.
So, yes, it's been nice, but I mean, obviously.
I know what it's like to go through it a second time, and it usually is so much different than
the first. So I've been helping Genevieve, like, through it because it is tough. So it's been
nice to have each other watching it all back. I was going to say, I mean, like, it's been
quite a doozy on the sand for everybody involved. I would say at this point.
Was that really Minnesotan of me? I was just going to say your Minnesota is showing and I love it.
Shit show, Ufda. Like, yikes. Like, there's been a lot.
that's been going on. And there's, you know, Becca and I were talking about earlier that there's
so much that is going on social media, like online fights, tweeting back and forth, throwing shade,
trying to clear the air. We're like, Becca and I are over here like, okay, contract violation,
contract violation, like, damn, you know, how is that? Because, you know, Jennifer and Aaron have
really kind of been going at it on Twitter. And she's gotten a lot of heat. A lot of people have
gotten heat from just viewers how how is that because i know that you know she's got a lot going on
with with everything yeah i mean it is crazy that you guys mentioned that because i was thinking the
same thing and i was actually telling jenev that like on our season it kind of was just like
what airs airs and you don't really get to say hey this happened behind the scenes we had this
conversation we did this and the amount of times this season i've been like wait i'm like seeing
a million different like viewpoints what's the truth what's not i'm like getting whiplet
from everything. It's honestly, it's very messy, very crazy. But yeah, I don't know.
Are you able to like, are you going to say, have you told her to put down her phone?
When it comes to a tweet, Genevie was going to tweet. I'm like, like, I'm like, I'm like wondering what, I mean, I'm assuming you're giving her advice, right?
Because you've kind of been through a couple similar situations. It's like,
what advice can you give her without like that you actually think she'll take to heart and that she'll listen to right like we've always told people like don't go on social media don't read the comments don't go on forums like whatever no one listens to that so it's like what's the best advice you're able to give her that you feel like she's taking to heart it's just i think the main thing is just being supportive because everyone goes through this watching back in a different way and you really just have to support them and what like whatever
way they take that and that's the main thing too because when I watched myself back on the bachelor
i would like see the comments and read through the dms and going on the bachelorette i was like i physically
cannot see the forums and the dms and the meme accounts and that was really for me especially
twitter is the meanest so i'm always like you know just stay off it and try your best but i think
just supporting her and supporting everyone honestly all my friends that are down there is all i can
really do right now yeah it's easier said than done when it's like don't go on this don't don't
read that don't engage with that it's like it is sometimes you just got to go through it and then
you know once you're ready to decide that like nope I can't I can't do this anymore is kind
of like when people I feel like hit their breaking point with with letting that affect them but
it is definitely it's a lot it's it's a lot to go through it's a lot
for one person to go through.
Yeah, and it's almost like you can't escape it.
Like, I even remember, like, actively avoiding everything,
and I would just be scrolling on TikTok,
and there'd be, like, a full video in, like, what I did that week.
So it's so easy just to stop and watch it
and then feel bad for the rest of the day.
So, yeah, it's definitely a lot to go through
and just supporting everyone as best as I can, honestly.
So speaking of supporting everybody,
we see that you make a little appearance next week,
in paradise. What was that like, well, two parts, I guess, going in and seeing some of your
best friends and like being able to get caught up on like who they're falling in love with,
who they're dating, and then vice versa. What was it like walking in knowing that half of your
exes would be there and potentially dating your best friends? I know. That's been the craziest thing
to watch back to. I'm like, those are all my friends and I dated him. And he said like, it's crazy to watch
going down, I kind of was aware of who was still there and who wasn't, because I would just
text them and text them. And as soon as that text went through blue, I'm like, oh, wait, like,
what's happening? So I kind of had a general idea of who was down there, but it was really so much
fun to go down with Gabby and be a part of their journey and hear what's happening and getting the
tea kind of. I'm not super excited to watch it. Just because there might be a ring on the finger,
But in general, it was just so much fun to go down there and see what everyone was up to.
Well, yeah, let's set the record straight.
So timing-wise, you and Gabby went down there when you were both still engaged in happy relationships.
So you're at a different mindset, different point of your life, obviously, like, post-show.
So a lot has happened since then.
So I want all of the listeners and viewers to remember that.
like this was filmed many, many, many months ago, okay?
It was like weeks after our engagement.
It was very soon.
Yeah.
Like not even a month.
So, you know, happier times.
Right.
It was a free trip to Mexico.
True.
Okay.
So you and Gabby, you go down on the beach together.
You and Gabby had spent a lot of time on your season of the Bachelorette together very
frequently.
And now, you know, you've gone through your break.
up and now gaffy's also going through a breakup but she's also on dancing with the stars and there's
so much going on with her. Are you able to see her talk to her outside dancing with the stars? Like how
often are you guys connecting? Yeah. I mean she is so busy right now which in a way I'm super
grateful for this for her because I think it's really like helpful to throw yourself into something
and she really is practicing all day every single day. So as much as we can talk and exchange
text we do. And I go and support her in person, really any chance I can get. So yeah,
whatever support and whatever she needs right now, I'm going to try to give to her just
because we all know how difficult it is, especially in the public eye. But I'm just happy
that she has at least something to focus on instead of just whatever is happening behind
the scenes.
Who knows?
maybe once Sancing
what the Stars is done
once I'm going to put this out there right now
once she wins that mirror ball
the three of you
will obviously have more girl time together
but could maybe
live in the house together
all three roommates
like going through something similar
and this crazy public eye
I don't know if LA could handle that
I don't know if my house
could handle that it would be burned
to the ground
I'm kind of here for it
we can make a little bit series
that would be that would be the show in L.A.
That would be the show.
I will.
I will.
I will tease this though is that Rachel and I have decided that we are going to take a trip somewhere and somewhere out of the country.
We're going to kind of like video it.
We'll make sure that our fault, like, you know, social media can kind of be a part of like where we're going to bounce to.
next but we're going to go on dates when is this happening have you guys planned like a month
how are you going to go for like two weeks two weeks is oh my god this will be fun
wait you have to do it like live in real time though where it is and like can you have like
polls for people to be like oh we kind of like are leaning towards this guy for somebody to date
oh so we're gonna do put their picture up vote for the one that you let michel to go on a date with
And I'm going to record her from the bush.
Hell, yeah.
Like, Rachel will be, like, eating dinner on her own filming, like, over.
We're, like, Michelle's conversation.
Oh, are you guys going to be miced up?
Can we hear these?
Yeah, but honestly, honestly, what's really funny is why is thinking about Rachel
filming from a bush a lot creepier than, like, being on a TV show where, like,
you're making out in the camera's right here.
Why is it, why is it more creepy?
Probably because if you have lost in the corner, like,
phone off recording.
Because if you guys do it this way, it could be illegal if, like, the other party doesn't know
that they're being recorded.
Correct.
I'm going to say, this sounds sketchy.
Oh, I'm here for it, though.
But, yeah, we'll be able to do some traveling.
That's so exciting.
Okay, well, so speaking of dating, yeah, because Michelle and I, before you came on, Rachel,
Michelle and I talked a little bit about, like, her getting back on the saddle and starting
I've been saying, date again.
No.
Have you been?
on any dates since coming to LA? Are you still just like taking it slow? Well, obviously taking it
slow, but I actually did go on a date last week. Did it go well? Is there a second date in the future?
It did go well. Okay. There is a second date in the future. Wait, it's no one from the show, right? This is like a
random person. A random person. How did you meet said random person? He slid into, you know, the DMs. Like we
said on happy our last time we're like slide
it. They're open.
Oh my gosh. Okay,
wait, where did you go?
Since it's done now, where did you go?
Um, we just went and got
coffee. Just casual.
Was there a kiss?
Maybe.
Oh.
Michelle, do you know this detail?
Michelle knows all this shit already.
Michelle's house right before it happened.
This girl was tweaking.
I can't go. I don't know how to do.
date not on a camera.
We ripped this.
You're like, I need somebody to tell me what to talk about.
Literally, I'm like, how do you date outside of sitting down and being like, tell me
everything about your life right now in this next five minutes?
Give me all of your trauma, like your greatest strengths and weaknesses.
Yeah.
I know.
I'm like, give him a date card.
Like, do I say, make me at the coffee shop, X-O rage?
Like, what do I do?
That is so funny.
Okay, so I'm here for this.
So there's probably going to be a second date.
I love this.
Keep us updated, please.
But you're so open to, like, meeting other people, right?
Yeah, I mean, who knows?
And he, like he's so well.
The DMs can still be slid into everyone.
Absolutely.
It's absolutely.
You know, anyone can come in and steal you for a sec, I feel like.
How is Genevieve as a wing woman?
Oh, she's great.
She's such a good wing woman.
So, you know, she might have to meet him soon and she can come on the podcast and give her opinion.
Okay.
I love this. So are you keeping it, like, are you trying to steer clear of men within bachelor
nation? Do you want just somebody that's removed from the franchise? Or would you be open to still
exploring something with somebody from a past season? I don't know. It's hard to say. I think there is
a certain level of like comfort with people who know exactly what we've been through and being
able to date. But we were literally, me and Genevieve, we were just talking about how weird it
is like someone has always dated someone who's someone's ex.
So I feel like it can get pretty tricky and watch a mission since we've all dated each other.
Yeah.
I mean, I think I wouldn't be open to that in the future, but who knows?
Okay.
Like our TikTok said when Rachel and I did that TikTok, I want to, like, somebody who has not even seen the show.
Okay.
It's just, yeah.
It's unfair dating, though, when they just have.
at the tip of their fingers, like, watching us date.
Like, this is exactly how you look when you fight with people, when you cry.
But that's good.
Because then if they're really willing to get to know you, then they, like, will get to know you.
But I will say, so with this date that you went on, is he, like, fairly different from the normal type that you go for?
Yeah, very different.
Okay.
Which is, you know, nice.
Like, sometimes you have to explore it and see.
So, yeah, definitely different from my type.
But I love this.
I'll send you guys a picture after this.
Please do.
What does he do for work?
Is that going to give too much away?
Yeah.
He's like the music.
Okay.
Okay.
Industry.
Got it.
Wait, did you go to Priscilla's?
Did you go to Priscilla's?
Is the coffee shop?
No, we went to Alphins.
Oh, okay.
I feel like me and Michelle need to go on like a double date.
Honestly, we were talking.
about this do we is it too far if we like do we make a dating profile that is just like for like the
two of us and we need to find like either two brothers or best friends did you guys ever did you ever
hear about grouper like when i was living in and this was years ago so i could be dating myself
but grouper used to be a dating app where it was like two people would meet and then they each
were allowed to bring two or three friends so it'd be like this group of people going on this
like triple quadruple date and then you could like vibe who you hit it up with so like you two
could go and have like two friends it's basically like that sounds like that could get really weird
but it's basically yeah it's basically bachelor nation except not filmed okay I'm kind of into it
but I definitely think we should do the double date thing honestly we should just next time we're
together. Let's just pitch. Let's just tell two best friends that they need to sign it in our
I'm going to make it so easy. I'm going to make it so easy. I mean, Rachel, I know you sent Joey and
Justin home night one, but just bring them back. You two can go on your easy double date.
Michelle's face right now. Give up a second chance. Everyone has a one. Michelle's like, I'm going to sit.
I'm going to be sick this day. Sorry. I can't actually. I have something.
Wait, okay. So, Rachel, I know a lot of these guys were on your season that are currently on Paradise, but from the men that weren't on your season, has any caught your eye?
On Paradise? Yeah.
Ooh, it's actually funny, but I went to the Paradise, like, reunion.
Let's talk about that, too. Yes. Okay, yeah. No, I was, like, so surprised by, like, how great these guys on the beach are. Like, obviously, some of them, you know, are taken.
But I was like, you know, you see them on TV and you watch them, but I didn't know a lot of them.
And I was like so pleasantly surprised by so many of them.
They're really good guys.
Yeah.
There's a lot of sweethearts.
A lot of, um, red flags too, but it's not sweethearts.
I mean, you and Andrew were like matching outfits.
I know.
Yeah.
We did show up in a matching fit.
Paradise reunion.
Okay, set us up for it because this is not going to happen for like a large air for a little bit.
But like, it was crazy.
there was a lot that happened but you were in the audience for like the taping and then you also took part in like just the fun party outside outside of the actual taping with everyone which probably had even more drama I would assume yeah well from what I've heard I mean I woke up the next morning and I'm like all right everyone telling me the details what happened um but as far as the taping goes I I mean I was sitting there with Gabby obviously we came off a very very messy
season um and i thought our after the final rose was pretty pretty messy pretty bad but this
i i think this has to be probably being messiest reading in that's ever going to happen the amount
of people that were just like coming to each other's next that you would never expect i'm like
where is this coming from it was absolutely crazy insane no way i couldn't have staff there and
on it. Give us, give us, like, a little bit of tea. Like, who went at it that you didn't expect?
That I didn't expect? Probably, not that she went at it, but I was proud of her, Eliza.
She, she was going through it down there. I wanted to go down there, cradle her. It was...
But was it, like, in regards to, like, the whole Rodney Justin situation, or was it something
completely different? No, it was the Love Triangle situation. Okay.
Okay. So you just hinted like Eliza obviously went at it for like this love triangle during the reunion. And in this week's teaser we see Eliza leave Rodney on the beach and basically go back to get Justin. So I don't want you to like say if she's with one of these men or not. But like does the reunion kind of touch on that and like give an update and closure to any of those? Well, any.
two of those relationships
or like do we know if Eliza's with anyone
like I have so many questions about this
well there's definitely
you know an ending to it I'll say that
okay what I heard was shocking
the details that kind of came out
post filming were shocking
well I knew Eliza's side
and obviously support her and women
always doesn't matter but just
some of the details that were coming out
and some of the things I heard, I was just sitting there.
Me and Gabby were just jaw on the floor.
And I'll say that.
Okay.
Okay.
Oh, my gosh.
I guess, like, now hearing about, like, the reunion that you took part of and, thank
God, you weren't actually part of it.
You were just there to witness everything.
It feels like last season, and even in previous seasons, like, there was a decent amount
of relationships to come from paradise.
Like, whether they were engagements or not, I think, like,
last season there's like seven couples that are sold together i could be wrong on that number
but now this season it seems like there would have been more but now they're dwindling and certain
things are coming to light that like these couples are breaking up so like do we still have
some love stories to look forward to i guess that come from this i mean of course there are so
many love stories still there and some maybe rekindling happening as well but yeah overall this season
it's been crazy because I really do feel like last season was like the gold standard of paradise
and the amount of relationships that are successful and still successful from it um I don't know this
time I think maybe the switch week might have played a part in that that I'm not having as much
time together um but there is of course still going to be love at the end of the day okay
As long as we have like one couple that we can root for.
I feel like we have it with Brandon and Serene.
Like I feel like they're right now, like the most serious couple on that beach.
It's got to be.
They've got to make it.
I hope so.
So much pressure on them.
But you guys, Brandon and Serene, if you're listening, you're our only hope.
You have to make it.
Give us hope, everyone.
It is really interesting, though, just because it's like you make a good point, Rachel, with just there is less time that they're being spent, you know, together on the beach or there's just so many more, I don't know if it's like to keep it interesting, to keep whatever it is to like all these different moments that are being inserted that are also like kind of why Paradise seems to work is because you get to spend more time together.
yeah absolutely it's been you know interesting to watch back going through like having my own
season and to see how they're actually like getting to spend all this time together it really
does make you think like what you know could have been different if we got to spend that amount
of time or you know what I mean so yeah I don't know if they missed out this season by having that
but oh this is a good segue for this question because I know that you just went on this great
first date with this mystery man
but if things didn't happen to work
out and you're still maybe at the
same point next year that you're at now
would you ever consider
going on that beach
hmm I will go
if Michelle goes down with
god damn and I knew you're going to say that
I knew you're going to say that
I'm not going on her
I'm here for that
oh my gosh I would actually love seeing both of you
I mean you know I love both of you so much
but
I would be all for it
I would be your personal handler
If you both go
I will take a month
away from my life
and from Thomas and the dogs
and take care of you
and your wedding planning
And your wedding planning
Actually yes I would love to get away
Just take me
I don't want to plan shit
So I'll be your handler
I'm like
I'm like trying to see that
Show it up
He did well
He did good
So well
That thing is a rock
I know
I am
Good job
We'll see. We'll see.
We'll keep talking about it.
You got some time. You got some time.
Right. And also, we're having our own paradise when we travel and, you know, try to find Mr. Wright.
You might send her husbands.
In Italy. Yeah. But we'll definitely come down and maybe like deliver a day card with our new people, you know.
Yeah, maybe we'll have a ring.
Who knows?
We'll have a friendship bracelet at least.
It's going to be the ones like made in Mexico.
with your names on it.
Michelle and Rachel.
BFF for life.
Forever.
We have a couple name.
So what's our couple name, Michelle?
Rochelle.
Yeah.
Rochelle.
We're already basically.
Yeah.
I like that.
Rochelle.
I mean, it's like a real.
Even just Rachel, it's like with L.
Michelle at the end.
Like you don't really need to change your name.
It just flows.
Just like.
Just like.
me in there kind of. Not really. I like Michelle. I'm here for this. So funny. Okay, so since we last
saw you, it was your, like I keep saying, probably in a totally different mindset. You were going
through it. What is like the one takeaway that you've learned now being a bit removed from
the franchise and away from your season, like learned about yourself, about love, what you're looking
for anything. Yeah, I mean, I really did learn so much, but I feel like the biggest takeaway I've
gotten out of this is just becoming way more confident in myself and what I want and standing up
for what I think I deserve. But ultimately, just being able to surround myself with so many
amazing friends and people like Michelle and Gabby and, I mean, you, Becca, everyone who's been
there for me, I'm just so thankful for all of you. And for everyone who is in a similar situation,
just surrounding yourself with the people who love you and still obviously healing and going
through it, but definitely in so much, like such a better place for you now.
Well said. Amen to that. I love that. I absolutely love that. Okay. So Rachel, you know how this
goes. I mean, we obviously will do the Rosen Thorn, but before that we added this new little part
to our episodes, which is basically sharing a resource because we think it's so important to
keep all of our listeners informed and share important resources here and on our
Instagrams that anyone can go to to learn more. Michelle, do you want to start or do you want me
to take it away? I can start if that works. Yeah, of course. Okay. So I, um, there's always a lot
going on in the media. We'll continue, unfortunately, to be a lot going on. Um, Becca, I don't know
if you've talked about this one a little bit, but did you talk about who we are, the documentary?
No. Okay. Perfect. I just didn't want to do.
double up on anything but um there's a netflix documentary it's called who we are really kind of
talks about just like where racism racism comes from stems stems from it goes into silver rights but then
it also gets into a little bit of like voting and just different things with that which is very
relevant to what's coming up here because today is voting day people so get to your local polls and
vote exactly and it just really talks about that
And it talks, I think the cool thing about it is it like, it does drop back of like how systemic racism kind of has started where it has come from. And it does a really good job of like dumbing it down is not the correct word, but really explaining it in a way of like you don't have to have background knowledge to kind of understand it. But also how it needs to change or not yes, it needs to change, but how it actually would change. And then.
the steps that need to be put in and the steps that have not been put in. So it's been really
interesting. But yeah, who we are. Netflix. And it's just kind of like chronologically goes through
things. Gives you a little bit of a history lesson there. Awesome. Yeah. Who we are. Okay.
Thanks, Michelle. Take it away, Becca. Yeah, I'm actually going to share one too that I wanted to say for
this week because obviously, like we just said, today is voting day. And it's so important that
people do vote. I'm not telling anyone, because I know people are going to come at us to be
like, you can't tell us who to vote for. So I'm not telling anyone who to vote for, but just
that it's so important to do so. One podcast that I've been listening to that, especially this
week, well, the two episodes that I listen to are perfect for this week. But the podcast is called
Pod for a Cause. And basically, it's created for those wanting to affect change. And just basically
the importance of taking part in the democracy. So two episodes that I would recommend. One is called,
here I haven't written down, one is called Why Our Courts Mattered, but the second one that I think is very
important is called Our Bodies on the Ballot. And it basically discusses voting and abortion rights
and how it affects mainly black women and people of color. It's so disproportionate, obviously,
the health care. And I think Michelle, maybe you had talked about this in another resource, but
so disproportionate across the board for black women and people of color. But it gets into
like the importance of like voting around reproductive autonomy, which I'm a huge advocate for.
Like I feel like it should be everyone's body, everyone's choice. And I'm not trying to push that
out on anyone, but it's a great, great listen. So that episode is called Bodies on the
ballot. And the podcast is called Pod for the Cause. So that is.
is mine this week and rachel of course yeah and rachel you are up girl yeah no obviously
going off of what you just said everyone get out there and vote i think this vote more than ever
is super important especially because of what's going on with obviously roe v wade in each
state and how like you said it's affecting so many people so many women and just everyone in general
so everyone get out and vote i was thinking about this because obviously watching documentaries
listening to a podcast, like so important to continue to like stay informed, especially with everything
going on, even just in bachelor's nation, like just in general, making sure that you're continuing
to educate yourself because it is so important. And I was thinking about like what we could do
every single day. And I think the one thing is making sure the accounts I follow in social media
are like kind of in alignment with that. So I am able to every single day be able to stay informed
on what's going on. So I think some of like my favorite.
ones that I'm able to like stay and keep updated on. I really love the grassroots law project and the
dream defenders. I think those are two really great ones. I love impact. And so to be able to like
continuously stay updating and consuming that and continuing to learn. It's just a simple follow. I think
it's super easy to like every day when you're scrolling, you know, see and learn something. So yeah,
hopefully that can, you know. Oh, I love that. I really love that. Impact is a.
is a good one just because
you are getting a lot of different
information. And I
really like that one too because you're able
to actually like engage
with it and interact with it and they like give you
a lot of like steps of. Yeah.
Different resources.
Yeah. Totally. Thank you.
Yes. Thank you.
We're all spending half of our time
on social media anyways. So that's a great
very easy one. I love that.
Okay. Well, Rachel,
now is the time you've done this
before where you got to share
your rose and your thorn so basically we're going to do it from this season of paradise so overall
if you've obviously been watching with your girl genevieve like who who or what is getting your
rose from paradise and then also the thorn like your least favorite moment anything oh my gosh
this is so hard i think obviously i'm extremely biased because a lot of these women on this season are
like very dear friends to me.
So it's been just really amazing watching them go out there and be so open and honest and
vulnerable with their feelings.
And it's like I watch them.
I watch Jenny be like just be so emotional.
And I just am like so proud of her for being able to do that.
So have to give the rose to just all the women down there.
And I think they're all doing such a good job.
Thorne, I'm going to go with Switch Week.
I'm not a fan of it.
I don't like it.
I know there might be some relationships coming from.
it, but I just think ultimately
it just hindered and hurt so many people
in different ways. And so I'm going to say
the warn to switch week
and boys who are being mean
on a beach.
Boys who are being mean. All right.
I love it. That's mine.
Love it. Great ones.
Love it. Love it. Love it.
Well, yeah, we're
excited to see more of what's to come. We can't wait
to see you once again on the big screen next
week. Yeah, if you two
get together and do a little girls night on
Monday, let me know, because I might just stick
around longer in L.A. and be there with you.
Definitely. We should do that. Let's
paying for it. Yeah. I would love that. Well,
Rachel, it's been so fun seeing you guys. I'm sure you're
going to see Michelle in like two seconds anyways.
On my way over.
Can't wait to see more of the TikToks.
No, but we always
love having you. You know, you're welcome back anytime.
Yeah, thanks for having you guys.
I feel like
I could have had her on for two more hours
and just talked about everything. There's so much
that I... We need to do a girl
night because like just like this stuff that we like find it's unreal this something you even share
with me through the great part i'm like this is this is good i feel like i'm so far removed now like
