This is an I-Heart podcast.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, host of the Psychology Podcast.
Here's a clip from an upcoming conversation about how to be a better you.
When you think about emotion regulation, you're not going to choose an adaptive strategy which is more effortful to use unless you think there's a good outcome.
Avoidance is easier.
Ignoring is easier.
Denials is easier.
Complex problem solving.
Takes effort.

Welcome back, Happy Hour listeners.
It was another very crazy week on The Bachelor and we're only a couple weeks in.
So we have a long ways to go and we also have a lot to talk about from last night's episode.
I cannot believe that it is only week four.
We still have so much to go and yet so much has happened.
another amazing episode last night and I am so excited because we have Sierra here today to
chat all about it. Yes, I'm excited to have Sierra on because we've really only known that she's
been, you know, in the mix of this drama. But we also have a lot to talk about in last night's
episode because Serena, just like Houston in the summer, things are heating up. Wow, I love
that one. Let's get into it. Before we get into the drama.
I want to start off on a fun note with your fashion recap.
All righty.
Let's get right into it.
There was some great fashion moments.
Top of the episode.
We have the rose ceremony.
And I'm going to have to give this best dressed look to Elizabeth.
I mean, I will say, obviously, she was shown a lot that gave her an opportunity for me to see her whole outfit.
Elizabeth had some great outfits, but I haven't always been a lover of how she accessorizes them.
at times. Sometimes I just feel like I want a little bit more, but she hit the ball out of the
park today. I was a huge fan of this look. She had a black suede dress on, a deep V. It was
asymmetrical at the bottom and a great drop earring to match. It was very glamorous, very
Hollywood. And my favorite part of this look is when Clayton took Chenet and Elizabeth
outside, she threw on this gorgeous black fur coat to complete the outfit.
We got to look at the heel.
I mean, I love this look.
It was made for a red carpet, and she absolutely killed it.
You know what the best part of that entire moment was, too,
when he pulled them both out there and she had the setting jacket on,
you know, at one point right away when she sat down,
she's like, I'm going to take this off just so.
Yeah, she was like, I'm going to show these shoulders.
Oh, yeah.
Because the minute he walked, the minute Clayte left Elizabeth through that coat right back on.
I loved it.
I was like, yes, girl, you show it off.
Absolutely, absolutely. By far, my favorite rose ceremony look. And for the day look, I'm going to have to give it to Rachel. I don't think I've given a one-on-one a best dress moment yet, but I just thought it was such a great outfit. It fit her really well. It was flattering. She looked cute and appropriate for the date. She had a white tie crop top on with a high-waisted baggy gene and a white sneaker. Super simple, but a great look. And then,
the evening cocktail party.
I have to say, I was really impressed with a lot of the outfits in the cocktail party.
I'm going to say, I'm going to give an honorable mention shout out to Marlina.
Yes.
I love her.
I love her.
She brought back that earring from the first group date when she was wearing that hot pink dress.
And I recognized her right away.
I love that earring.
I want that earring.
And she was wearing this beautiful, like, baby blue satin dress.
she just looked absolutely stunning. Her makeup, everything about it. But my winner of that night is going to have to be our guest today, Sierra. And she just, the whole outfit came together really nicely. She had a slick low bun, which is one of my favorite pairings with a high neck. The green dress was fantastic. And I mean, Becca, I said it last week and I'll say it again. Hashtag bring back body glitter. Body glitter. And I loved that look because that's a color that most women,
I feel like we would not be able to pull off.
And she could so well.
You know, we've seen more of like the deep emerald greens,
but that pop of color was beautiful.
I need to go back to your girl, Marlina, though,
because I'm going to say our girl, Marlina,
because we have to take it to the top of the episode
from the rose ceremony because she was wearing this one-shouldered,
it was like this rose gold kind of mavi-e iridescent dress.
Yes, I know exactly what you're talking about.
It was gorgeous.
It was stunning.
And I don't know about you.
I'm such a fit.
Maybe it's like the 90s kidded me.
I love the one-shouldered look.
The one-shoulders back and so are metallic.
Like you're really seeing that come back.
I loved it so much.
And that color was just so beautiful.
And I was like, I want to see more of her.
So luckily we got a quick glimpse of her walking into the row ceremony because for the most part, we just caught her sitting down.
So you just saw the one shoulder.
But it was beautiful.
I mean, she is somebody who stands out each week for me in the style.
department and I mean Marlina if you are listening to this wherever you got that gown please share
because I want to get one for the tour it's beautiful all right enough with all of the fun we got to
get into this from start to finish I was like I don't want to keep watching this it's just too much
I'm just over the drama at this point so I want you to please kick it off and take it away and maybe
give me one standout moment from the entire episode on your end all right well I mean we could break down
this drama all day. I mean, there was so much all surrounding one person who is bringing the drama,
bringing the entertainment, but in such a negative way, Sheney, Shrimp Gate is not over. And I highlighted
Shrimp Gate last week as like, I love it. I think it's entertaining. I think it's silly. I think
it's new. I was not a fan this week. I want to be done with the shrimp. We've taken it too far.
I mean, we had Cheney and Elizabeth at the beginning.
I was so sad to see Elizabeth go home.
As were all of the women.
As were all of the women, they were crying.
But I would like to say that Rachel and Clayton's date, for me, was the highlight.
I mean, I'm going to declare that the most rom-com moment of the season, and it hasn't even ended.
But it was so beautiful.
Yeah.
To add on to that part, I could tell.
I mean, and I think it was Sarah last week who had mentioned.
She thought that Clayton was going to give Rachel the very first one-on-one.
But if you noticed at the top of the episode with the rose ceremony, when he called Rachel's name and gave her the roast, there was a moment.
Even though it was two seconds long, I was like, oh, shit, they're really into each other.
They're really in sync.
And so when he gave her that one-on-one date, that was, I would say it's one of the most natural dates I've seen where they just really hit it off.
And I could, I mean, like, just as a viewer, Rachel's going to be going far.
She is going, I'm calling it right now.
I think top four, at least she's making it to hometowns.
But I feel like just those two in general together, they have this easy banter.
It feels like they've known each other for a while and it's really pleasant to watch.
Let's get into this drama mainly around Chenet quickly because I just have a few things to say.
And I'm going to preface this with I like Clayne.
Serena and I have spent time with Clayne outside of the show.
he is a great kind man. He's funny. He's just so much better in person. I think like any of us,
when you actually can get to sit down and spend alone, quiet time away from the show with somebody,
it's so much better. I have to say, though, he is really dropping the ball for me on the question
asking and getting to the bottom of things. And it felt like for most of this episode, he just seemed
so confused of the Chenet drama, the Elizabeth stuff, anything with the other women. Like, he's just
confused and I'm like you have the perfect opportunity especially when you're sitting with these
two women at the very top of the episode when you pull shenay and elizabeth outside to ask direct
questions and it basically felt like he was trying to mediate these two women going at it and then
just walked away and was still confused and i'm like now is your time to begin to the bottom of this
he did not do that from what we saw and it seemed to still then continue i mean into the group
date continuing to the cocktail party after the group date when Sheney showed up. It's just,
it was a lot of confusion. And at this point, you're a few weeks and you're kind of finding
your bearings with these women. You're getting to know their personalities better. And if you have
these major moments of confusion and doubt and just like what the Fs are going on, ask the
questions. Like you, he's the lead of this show. He needs to carry this show. And I'm just,
I feel like he's falling short for me. And it's making it very difficult for me. Because at this
point I'm like yelling at my screen being like dude ask her this or ask her that um I'm right in line
with you Becca I wish that Clayton and I know that it was probably overwhelming but I wish
that he had sat there and had more direct questions to ask Elizabeth and Chenay because I think
it would have given him a better understanding of what was going on but I do think and I'm curious
to see how this unfolds in the next episode that when Chenay came an interrupt at that date I
I don't know if it was his facial expressions, his body language, but, like, there definitely
was a shift.
And I think that he's maybe starting to see what all the other girls are seeing.
Mm-hmm.
But then he goes on to make out with her on the bar and spend so much time with her.
It wasn't that steamy.
I'm going to be honest.
No, it wasn't.
It wasn't that steamy.
I will say this.
I know we love to hate Chenet and we hate to love her, but she knows what she's doing.
And she's making some really good TV for all of us right now, because without her, we wouldn't
have any of it. One other thing we should touch on before we bring on Sierra is the fact that we're
finally traveling again. I know we did it a little bit on Michelle's season. I feel like fingers crossed,
we're going to be doing it weekly now, which is how the show used to be. So I can't wait to see
where else they had to after this. It'll be very interesting to see what unfolds.
I mean, like you said, at the top of this episode, we're only four weeks in, and we have a long ways to go.
So there's still a lot to get into, which is why I think we should just bring on Miss Sierra with the body glitter right now.
Before you came on, Serena and I were like, do you think she's going to be wearing body glitter right now?
Because we are obsessed with your body glitter.
Okay, so I was going to put it on.
I do have shimmer on.
I have like a shimmer on, but you can't really see it through the camera.
But I saved my body glitter for when I go out.
it's like my little special you know but i it's a concoction so it's not one thing it's actually do you all
know like diptee is the brand diptee so okay serena you need to get you some diptee girl i'm canadian
i don't know if we have it that's gonna be my excuse you have it it's parisian i will
hit me with your address i'll send you a little diptee bottle but like um you so i spray it on me
first on like my whole like chest area and shoulders and
And then I take the finty lava, like the lava, and I put like a layer all over me and mix it
with the oil.
And then after that, I take a fan brush and I put it in the diamond bomb of fenty and I dust it on
me.
And so it gives you this like, under skin glow, like the lava gives you this like even tone,
like healthy skin glow.
And then the diamond bomb is like a big sparkly glitter.
Oh, I love it.
Well, okay, I have to formally officially.
welcome you to Bachelor Happy Hour. I am so thrilled. We both are so thrilled to have you here
just because we know we've seen you in part of this drama, obviously, that's taking over the
house. But we want to get to know Sierra for Sierra. And this is the time to do it. So welcome to
Bachelor Happy Hour. Let's just get into it. How did you get on the show? Were you a fan of it before?
How did this all work out? So funny enough, I never watched the show. So,
I would hear about it through social media obviously like things like Pilot Pete you know
I'm like who's Pilot Pete like you know like things like I hear weird like catchy things like that
or or I want grocery store Joe I would hear that like you know I'm here things like that
I was just like but they're the cutest things I'm like who are these people and how do I get a fun nickname
like that well yeah and it's just well I was I was on hinge right and I was going on a multiple
hinge dates. Every single one was a bus. I mean, it just wasn't working. Like modern day dating
sucks. And so after all these hinge dates, one day, it was in July. And I went on a date.
It didn't work out. And I was just like, I'm so over this. So one night I found ad on social
media for it. And I didn't follow any bachelor anything. I didn't. I was so unconnected from any
of it. And I was like, well, what do I have to lose? Like I've already like lost so much
time on hinge and bumble like what more can i lose like you know like i just want someone you know so i was
like screw it so i i apply not really thinking anything of it i literally use a snapchat photo like
the the worst quality worst photo of mine of all um and didn't think to hear back and then literally
two days later i had gotten a call ignored it because i don't answer calls i don't know so i ignored
it called again i ignored it and i was like who's the california
I remember calling me. God, fam, you know? And I finally got a text and it's like, hey, The Bachelor,
and we're trying to get a hold of you. And I was like, oh, my God. It's happening. Yeah. I was like,
wait, is this real? And so, is this real? And I'm like, yeah. So that's how it all started. And,
you know, that's when I started watching, you know, because I thought it would be somebody from
Katie season. So I started watching Katie season to familiarize myself and kind of get acquainted with
It's like how the show works and everybody, but, you know, I started like halfway through
because you know how Hulu kind of deletes the episodes after, you know?
So I started about halfway through.
And yeah, so that's how I kind of got acquainted.
I didn't really know much.
I love that you didn't know too much about it because I feel like this season coming on
Clayton season, no one really knew much about him, right?
Like, especially for you women, you didn't have the opportunity to watch Michelle season back
because it was airing the same time you were filming.
So that's probably the best time to come in
where you don't know anything about anyone or their backgrounds.
You just really had the opportunity to get to know that one man for who he is.
Do you think that helped you in a way?
I think it did because to me it was that you can't make any judgments
because, you know, what you see on TV obviously always isn't 100%, right?
You know, with anything, social media or any type of media.
Like, you never know like the full story or who somebody truly is.
And so for me, maybe, like, had I watched Michelle's season, who knows, maybe I, you know,
would have created some false ideal of, like, who he is or this or that.
And so I like the fact that I did go into it blind.
It was really truly like blind dating, you know, and it's like a hinge date.
It's just another hinge date.
You see some pictures, you know, a little bit about a baby bio.
And you're like, yeah, let's do.
Like, let's go out for a drink, you know?
And you kind of just go for it and see what happens.
I've never heard anyone compare The Bachelor to a Hinge Date.
That is one of my favorite comparisons I've ever heard.
It's not that far off.
It's honestly true.
Okay, Sierra, I love your body glitter tricks.
I love hearing all about your hinged dating life.
I want to get into the drama.
So you have been very vocal and confident in your decisions to talk to Clayton
and be up front about him with what's going on in the house.
So I want to take it back.
We've seen a lot.
of Cheney this week, but I want to bring it all the way back to Cassidy.
Oh, yes.
You just, oh, yes, is right.
Oh, yeah.
Can you tell us, can you tell us what was going through your head when Cassidy told you that she had a guy back home?
So a lot of things are going on in my head.
One was, why are you telling me this right now?
that was the first thing to go on is like what the heck why are you telling me this but keep going
keep like don't stop you know and so so that was what was happening and you know as she's sharing
this information you know um nc and i knew we were the two people only two people that knew we kind
of kept it to each other um we didn't want to blow it out throughout the house you know because
what good is that going to do obviously not none it's just going to piss everybody off you know
So we kind of contained it.
And then I was just really putting myself in and Clayton's shoes.
So part of me was like, you know, I don't want to say anything at all because, you know, I want to get to know him.
We don't get a lot of time with this, man, at all.
So the time that you do get, you do want to utilize it to the best of your ability.
But at the same time, I'm thinking, okay, if I was him and if I was in his shoes, I would be pissed, beyond piss.
If a man sat down and had a date with me and smiled or kissed me or did anything,
but in the back of his mind, he had this information.
He knew it and he kept it to himself.
And obviously there's these whole things.
Well, if the person's judgment is good, they'll find out.
And if this is, you know, they'll find out if they can, you know, eventually, right?
You know, like I trust them.
I trust their judgment.
And it's like, no.
Because at the same time, they trust you.
And they trust that you're going to be open and honest with them at all times and not put them
in harm's way. So in my opinion, keeping that information to yourself is setting somebody up
for failure. And when you care about somebody or you love someone or you're having a real
relationship with someone, you do not keep things from them. You just, you don't. Like, you know,
you're going to share and you're going to be honest and you're going to be open, even if that's
detrimental to you. You know, that's just the truth of it all. So me, I had to put myself aside
my selfish desires, which was being able to have a good time with him.
and just really just talk to him and just say, hey, like, this is what's going on.
And it sucks that I have to tell you this.
It sucks that I have to use my time.
And it sucks that you had to hear this because it's embarrassing.
You just gave her a rose.
But it's going to be even more embarrassing if you keep her on after this.
So that was kind of my whole thought, that's behind it.
Going back to that night and knowing that Clayton pulled Cassidy aside,
and I'm assuming you all knew what he was going to talk to her about,
two part question did you expect him to send her home in that moment like that night prior to the
the proper rose ceremony where he could have just said at that point taking that rose back and
sent her home so did you expect that and then when you saw him send her home well how did that
make you feel where you like oh yeah that's man you know he's he's he's going for it he's not
holding back he's going to do what he wants to in the moment like was that a turn on so i to answer
the first question, what did I expect? Whenever he was pulling her to talk to her, I did expect
him to send her home. That was my full on expectation because I'm like, if he is a man that I'm going
to respect or anybody is going to respect, he's going to send her home. And I trust that he is a man
that is that has, that is not silly enough to keep someone on after that, you know, and after
finding out that it's the truth. So that was, that was my full on expectation. I didn't expect a less of
him because um i didn't expect less of a man from him that's why um so that that's the answer
that question and then how i felt whenever i saw him walking her out that was that was great
because it not only did it validate um the kind of man i'm expecting him to be you know and and
and holding him at you know hold him accountable to be but it was good because it showed that
he trusted me and i think that's the biggest turn on to me
And that's the biggest thing in a relationship is when your partner trusts you, that can go so, so, so, so far.
And that's the, my biggest thing is I want to be trusted.
I don't want to be questioned.
I want to be trusted.
And I want my word to never be taken with a grain of salt.
I want it to be like, okay, if she's speaking up, she's speaking up because she sees something wrong or she knows something's wrong.
And she's only speaking up because she's concerned.
and she's not doing it
of malintent or anything else
and so the fact that he did trust me
and pulled her aside to talk to her
that was what turned me on
that was like okay
okay then you know
I really like that moment too
I was happy to see that when you came forward
with that information he took it seriously
and sent her home I think that was
a really good move on his part
and see her I don't want to talk about Cassie
too much longer because obviously we have so much more
to get into this season
you know
Shrimp gate. We're going to get into all things, Shrimp Gate, and I really want to get your take on it.
But before that, where do you think all of this animosity that Sheenay had towards Elizabeth came from?
Like, did she ever even fully explain anything other than Elizabeth won't talk to me and she didn't eat my shrimp when I offered it to her?
No, that's the, the craziest thing is that she did not. She had no real, real reasoning to any of it.
And what blew me, like, through, like, the walls is that whenever we're at that group date and she had called out Lindsay, Lindsay W.
I'm that, okay, Linda is the sweetest, kindest, she's the southern sweetheart.
I love her, okay?
I love her to death.
And she's the kindness person.
She wouldn't her to fly, honestly.
And so whenever she said that, I was like, okay, this, this bee is tripping.
Now she's truly tripping.
So, like, with the Elizabeth situation, I wasn't not, like, so even, like, if you watch it, like, the clips and everything, like, you don't see me anywhere because I wasn't even around really for that. So I was pretty confused, like, what the crap is going on. And I couldn't really take a side. Like, you know, I couldn't say, you know, I'm on Elizabeth's side. I'm on shit. Like, I didn't know the full story because I'm like, well, is Elizabeth doing stuff? So I don't really know. So I kind of kept it very, like, neutral, you know, and I'm trying to get the facts. But when I was trying to get the facts and she wouldn't give the facts, and then Elizabeth would.
give-backs and then she called out Lindsay. That's what I immediately knew, okay, she is
tripping. Like, she is crazy at this point because Lindsay is so, so sweet. And watching it
back and putting it together, to me, it looks like she's targeting other women that look
similar to her that she may feel threatened by. Because if you think about it, Elizabeth's a
beautiful blonde woman. Lindsay's a beautiful blonde woman. And then Shene also, you know, beautiful
blonde woman on the outside. So like, you know, whenever you, you know, whenever you actually
look at it in that way, it's like, okay, people that she's targeting are people that really she,
I think she personally does feel threatened by and she's trying to get rid of them. You know,
you can't like, like if somebody looks completely different than you or whatever, it's really
hard to like target them, right? But whenever somebody's similar to you and you're like, okay,
well, if I can get rid of them, that makes my chance of so much easier because I'm only hot blonde
around, you know? And so I think to me,
it kind of looked like it kind of comes off to me as like she's threatened by other blonde women that are beautiful and have great personalities and she's trying to get rid of them no and so that's how i'm seeing it i don't know if that's right or wrong but that's how i'm interpreting it now that i watch it back um but when i was in the moment it definitely looked a lot like to me it was just like she's attacking people she's truly attacking innocent people who are very very kind and amazing women that have truly done
done nothing to her. And I think the most frustrating part is that we had set down with
Cheney and we had talked to her. We had told her like in a nice way, like not hanging up on her,
but we had told her like, hey, what you said about the whole ADHD comment, that was just not
okay. You know, it's disrespectful. It's rude. It's mean. You can't do that. You can't call out
people, you know, people and how they're different. That's not okay. We told her to stop.
we told her we gave her multiple multiple times to correct her behavior and she chose not to and so at
that point you can't feel sorry for somebody whenever they they're choosing not to change and they're
they're giving the tools and the reasoning on like why they're like they're giving the explanation
on why it's bad and she's choosing not to change and she's choosing to continue to like have these
negative bad nasty actions like so at first I felt bad for her like like maybe
like maybe she is feeling isolated maybe we could be better a better group of women and help her feel
more comfortable and help her feel more you know engaged with us like maybe we can try harder
as a group of women you know that's what I thought at the time and even after the fact after
filming I even thought that I thought back on it and I'm like you know gosh maybe we could have tried
hard wish name but now I watch it and I see her ITMs and I see everything and I'm like no like there's
no like we did everything that we could and she blatantly chose to be the
this person. So I don't go back to her anyway. Yeah, the ITMs reveal a lot. Yeah. It's always an
interesting to watch back. But all right, I would not be doing my job here if I didn't ask you
this, Sierra. What are your thoughts on Trimp Gate? Oh, my gosh. My thoughts on it are,
first off, it's funny. I think it's hilarious. I'm just going to be real. I think it's a hundred
percent hilarious because it's so ridiculous that it's funny just can't have a laugh so that's what
i think i think that cheney and how she handled it was just completely ridiculous like she's delusional
because she's like no one took my shrimp i have her shrimp and then you literally see the clip of mara
taking the plate of shrimp and sharing it with the women in the hot tub it's like okay what did you
want did you like so it's just like it's just it's hilarious
to me it's hilarious to me how how out of hand it got and how much she held onto the whole
shrimp thing you know um and it just makes me think like if that's something that small can like push
you over the edge and like make your cup overflow like this you there's some things you need to
work on one question i have because it seems like cheney was so focused on elizabeth but then she would
make comments about how the other women in the house wouldn't talk to her, all these other
women would ignore her all because of Elizabeth, you know, which doesn't make sense. And she could
never, it seems, from a viewer standpoint, it never seems like she could give any tangible reason
for that. But she would oftentimes play the victim and then oftentimes say, you know,
I'm being bullied. None of these other women like me or will talk to me or will interact with
me. Did you ever hear that from her like head on? And did anybody ever address?
that, like, in terms of the bullying, because that is an extreme statement to be saying for
things that don't really seem to be an issue. And did anyone say, like, why don't you call
anyone else specifically out instead of just this one woman? So whenever we talked about
cocktail, and you do see it, like, me asking her, like, hey, like, you give us actual reasons
of, like, when you've experienced this bullying. And we also try, we, you know, we tried again,
you know, at the other cocktail, you know, at the ceremony, you know, we, you know, we,
we tried in to talk to her and she will like she will not give you an explanation she won't
she her immediate reaction is to defend and then deflect and so she immediately says you know what
i'm done i'm done talking about this i don't want to talk about it anymore i'm done nope but i'm like
no if you're going to say and accuse people of something you need to give an explanation
especially whenever you're calling people bullies when you're the one bullying you know so
get to the bottom of if Elizabeth was in the hot tub or not?
She was in the hot tub. She was in the hot tub. But she wasn't, but she wasn't looking.
Like, if you look at the clip, she's, like, basically facing, like, away. Like, she could
maybe have seen Shanan her peripheral, but, like, she wasn't facing. She didn't turn. Like,
she very well could have missed the entire interaction. Like, she was in the middle of a conversation.
Yeah. She was in the middle of the conversation. And then she was, like, also, like, you know,
she didn't blame me she just said hey is anybody want shrimp she wasn't saying hey elizabeth do you want shrimp so exactly so unless you directly say if you're going up to a group of people and you directly say somebody's name the whole group does not have to acknowledge you that is not unless you directly say their names and so you know if she wanted direct acknowledgement from elizabeth she should have said hey elizabeth do you want some shrimp or hey mara elizabeth blah blah blah blah do you want shrimp she didn't do that so obviously she doesn't just like she's not going to immediately gain the entire attention of
a group just because she walked up to the group. That's not how life was. Right. It's a struggle to
watch, quite frankly, at this point, because there's so many now, I would say, fake foe issues that
that Chenet has that I can't even keep track because, again, they're not tangible. I can't, like,
pinpoint anything. So it's making it so difficult to be like, honey, what are you actually mad about
right now? Like, what is actually bothering you? And it's just, yeah. She's just mad. She's just mad because just to be
mad i don't know she's just tripping just some people some girls just trip you know you just got to let him
trip you know as you said we're all grown women at this point and you can only help somebody along
so far exactly and you can only help somebody if they want to be helped and i don't think she did like
she clearly she clearly liked the person that she was being like she was completely fine with it
and she wasn't trying to change anything at all i mean you even see her
talk about fake crying to Clayton like that's insane to me like to have alligator tears that's like
come on like that is but she knows what she's doing she knows exactly how to work it right now
where she's getting this extra time she's being allowed to crash this group date she knows what
she's doing so insane or not she she knows how to work the angles of the show to get more time
with Clayton a hundred percent what's so ironic to me though is she
said in this episode, like the most famous Bachelor villain line there is, which is, I'm not
here to make friends. But I just found it so contradicting because I'm like, your whole issue is that
the girls don't like you, like that they don't want to be your friend. And that's why you're so
upset. And that's why you bring the drama to Clayton. But then you're saying that you're here
for him. You're not here to make friends. So I don't know. I think that this just was not the right
environment for her and yeah it just it was rough to watch but moving on to the cocktail party
which was non-existent were you surprised when you canceled the cocktail party because it kind of
felt like you guys had a vibe that you know if this doesn't get squash she's going to cancel it
but you know tell us to kind of unfold that night for us whatever that cocktail party did get
canceled it's um like quite honestly
we saw it coming. We kind of figured that it was going to be the case. And we kind of were all
just hoping that the time that we had with him was enough to make a sound decision. But at the same
time, we were all very, very happy to have this happen so that it could be done. We wanted the
drama to be done. So in our minds, we're thinking if this is what needs to happen, one more
canceled cocktail party so that it's just squash, it's done. We don't have to worry or deal with it
you more than okay let's let's all just take it because i remember there was a moment on when i was
on the bachelor years ago half a decade ago i should say damn but um there was a moment too where
there was issues with one of the women and we're all like you know let's bring it to his attention
let's talk about it and squash it and of course cocktail party is canceled so that it always happens
let's get into the fun stuff because right after that crazy roast ceremony you find out that
you're finally able to leave the mansion, get out of the same four walls we've been living
in for several weeks, and start to travel. What was that like when Jesse came in to deliver
the news? Because at first he was like, you know, we're not having a date today. What was going
through your head when he did his whole spiel? And you know what? I bought that. I knew what was
going to happen. And I still was like, wait, there's no date? What's going on? Week four always travels.
I know, Becca. I know. And I knew that they traveled this season.
And I knew, like, I don't know.
I fully fell for it.
No, we did, too.
We were, we were seriously, like, are you kidding me?
Because all of the drama and how just stressed everyone was,
it wouldn't have, it wouldn't have surprised us if they were like,
hey, Clayton needs a day to relax.
You know what I mean?
So we were just thinking, you know, like, oh, crap, you know?
I guess this means, like, you know, if there's no date today,
that means not everybody's going to get time with them this week, you know?
And so our, our wheels start to turn.
But whenever he was like, hey, you're leaving, we couldn't have been more happier.
We were like, oh, my gosh, new place, new start.
Maybe we can all wipe our place clean.
Maybe we can all just drop everything and move forward and, like, have good, clean, fun,
and just really focus on building our relationships.
And that be the only thing, you know?
That's what our hopes were.
And obviously, you know, we're all still upset about Shaday.
Obviously, we still want him to know, you know.
the truth about her but we don't want that to be like any main focus like we just really want to
try and build a connection and honestly it felt more real to like oh my gosh we're leaving the mansion
we're going you know on you know we're going on to houston this feels real now this feels more
real you know it feels more like okay things are going to start taking a different turn in energy
the energy is going to start changing and um it you know there's less women that means more time
when you do get time and so we were really excited about all of that you know these the new adventures
but um and then the the new um strengthenings of everybody's relationship but you know it didn't
it didn't turn out the way the way we thought it short lived short lived it was it was very
short lived okay let's get into the what the bachelor bowl that was the name of it i was
the name of this okay let's get you had one of these you should have
I did. I did have the Bachelor Bowl. We had a lot more injuries when I hosted this date. So I'm glad that no one was too tainted from it. But that date starts out fun. You're all tailgating. You're grilling. You're having a grand old time, smooth sailing. Just when it gets simple and easy, you know something's going to drop. The ball's going to drop. And it did many times on this date. One thing, though, that there was
still lingering tension. We go on to the group date that night. None of you expect
Janay to show up. She was on the losing team. She was supposed to go home. So when she showed up,
at this point, were you shocked? Were you appalled or were you like, it makes sense?
When she showed up, I was. We were like, wait, what's the, you know? And it threw me off.
And I didn't know, we didn't, none of us knew why she was there. You know, we, it was crazy
because at that cocktail,
Genevieve and I
had sat down and we had chat.
It's chatted and, you know, we're like,
we're not going to say anything to Clayton unless he asks
because it's been so much drama.
We had such a wonderful day.
You know, it's been such a good day.
We don't, you know,
we don't want to have one good day,
one good cocktail party.
Absolutely no drama.
Like, let's, like,
so unless Clayton asks,
we're not going to tell them, you know,
we're just going to like try to squash it,
you know, and try to let this like whole Chenet thing
dissolve.
possibly you know possibly it can just dissolve so you know at first we're like tell them tell them tell
them and then we're like you know it's been such a good day let's try to make it dissolve you know
chenay was was good today you know like a kid she was good today you know so we're thinking you know
she was good today she wasn't petty because obviously you know we're not seeing her ITMs
or not seeing anything you know we're just seeing our interactions with her so we're thinking you know
maybe she really wants to change you know she still hasn't apologized to anybody but
Maybe she wants to, you know, change and just be better, right?
And just be chill.
And so we're like, okay, let's not say anything, like, unless he asks.
And then he asks us, and so obviously we tell him, you know, we're real and we're honest with him about, you know, how she has been, the truth behind the situation.
She's not interacting with us.
She is isolating herself, you know, and just being real to protect ourselves because she's over here attacking us, you know.
And what threw us is that after we chat with him, you know, you know, time goes by.
And also she pops up out of nowhere and she comes to us and I'm sitting there and my silk gown.
With the body glitter looking good.
With my body glitter, you know how I do.
And I'm sitting there and I'm like, bitch, I wish you, like, say my name.
And I'm like, because she's like starts saying things.
you know she's like comes up and she's like she's obviously looks like she's about to attack right
and she's like jenniv's here and keep my name at my house your mouth or whatever and says
that whole thing and then she grabs the trophy so so that's why we were all kind of like wait
what are you doing what's your emo and then she throws it and we're kind of just like what's the
heck what was the point of that and she storms off and so we all start kind of giggling because
they're like this is comical she's crazy and we're like yelling at her to come
come back because I'm thinking like hey if you're going to start something finish it come back you
can't come out and do something crazy and then not stay for the rest of it like you need to if you're
going to confront and be confrontational confront and stay there have a conversation and talk about it
if you're going to do something and then run away like a chicken then don't do it in the first place
like I feel like she's just leaning into it though like she's going to she's leaning in she's like
I'm going to there's no rules I'm going to confront and then I'm going to run away and but she's got to be
careful because in my, because me, that was the point where I was like, okay, she's getting real
baldy. And me, Sierra doesn't play, y'all. Let's get into a game with you because we always
love to do this with our guests. And this is a fun one. It's going to be super easy. It's
bouncer superlatives. So basically, Serena and I are just going to give you a question, throw out a
phrase, whatever it might be. And then you just have to come back with what woman from Clayton's
group of women you think it fits best. So one name, first name off the top of your head. And we're just
going to rapid fire these out. And don't hold back. Sometimes we can guess on who try, you know,
to be a little bit more posh and buttoned up. But let's just have fun with it. So I'll kick it off.
So this is an easy one. Who is most likely to get the party started? Oh, Marlina. Yeah,
let's say Marlina. Nice. All right. Who is most likely to get the ladies laughing?
Gabby. Gabby or Marlina.
who's the best cook
ooh
I'm going to say
Kate
Kate
Kate we miss Kate
we liked Kate
Kate can cook
Kate can
go down in the kitchen
so Kate yeah
all right who is the first person
to wake up in the morning
Malina
like straight up
Malina's up and she's like walking
she's like starts doing laps and walking
like so it's
I think I think one of the other guests on
hear said that too that she's always up working out right away getting it in yeah good for her i wish
i had that mentality who's most likely to be named miss congeniality oh miss congeniality
jennedineve i don't know jenniv best smile in the house oh i'm gonna say me oh yes who is where are we
oh who's the best dressed oh malina between malina
and NC, they're mad style 100%. So it's between Melina NC and obviously me, but I'm not
going to do me. So it's like them too. All right. Who is the biggest gossip?
So I heard Elizabeth said, me, and I don't like to call it gossiping. I call it breaking news,
but I would say it's me, too. I'm CNN, and that's okay. I love that. Can I use that phrase from now on?
I call it breaking news.
Yeah, it's not breaking
Who's most likely to score a touchdown?
Marlina, Marlina.
Who is most likely to steal Clayton first at a cocktail party?
Sheney.
Who's the first to go to bed?
That might be me.
Who's most likely to be found lounging by the pool?
Gabby.
Gabby, she's like, oh, cool, you know.
All right. And then last question. Who is most likely to be a bridesmaid in your wedding?
In my wedding? Can it be multiple people? Have me one? No, one, one name. One name. Well, it's obviously empty because that's my BFF.
All right. I see. There you go. Ency. All right. That's one of the best things to come from the show. I know that we've seen a lot of drama. We've talked about a lot of the drama. But it's so good to see there's actually some really solid relationships with this group of women besides a couple. And I think, collect.
It's like one of the biggest groups we've seen that all get along for the most part.
I could be shoving my foot in my mouth.
I don't know what's going to happen in the next couple weeks, but I like what I'm
seen so far.
But before we let you go, we always share a rose and thorn of the week.
So it's basically like our best highlight, top moment, and then what was the messiest?
So I'll kick it off and start.
I'm going to just go really simple.
I'm going to say my rose of the week.
I'm going to give it to Marlina because not only was her dress at the top of the
episode stunning. She killed it on the Bachelor Bowl. I mean, we knew she was very athletic,
but damn, she carried that team. And I just like how she handled everything, especially with
the confrontation. She just says it like it is, but it's still respectful. And she's just,
she's been very, very fun for me to watch. My thorn, I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that
I never want to eat shrimp again, ever. And I'm going to leave it at that. Okay, I'm going to give my
Rose to
Genevieve, but a specific
moment at the
cocktail party before the rose ceremony
when she just
went off on Chenet.
And very rarely do I watch someone
like fully go off on someone in the show
and actually like, usually
you know, I'm like, okay, I get it, but I feel bad
for the other person and like I never believe
in attacking anyone, but I felt she did it in a way
that was almost like, I want to get
to the bottom of this. Like as a viewer,
it was so satisfying. She was saying everything.
that I was feeling. She was asking all the questions that I wanted to know. She was basically
putting Cheney in the hot seat, making her explain her accusations. And I was just really living
for that moment, as well as the Bachelor Bowl flashbacks, because those were 10 to 10.
And then I'm going to say my thorn, ooh, that's a hard one. I'm going to see my thorn
was seeing Elizabeth go home because I feel like she spent a lot of her time defending
herself and I hope that we get to see
some more of her on maybe a different
show on a beach.
Yes.
Hide the shrimp.
Really though, really though.
Mine is
so my rose would be
my rose would
definitely be, it would be
Genevieve going off on Chenet, even though
Chenet didn't give us a valid answer still,
even though it would still be
like Genevieve going off on Chenet.
That was great, wonderful.
And it would also, I would also say that it's also like the bowl,
the suit, like the, the Bachelor Bowl was, it was just so amazing.
Like that group of women, like we got so close after that.
And then my, my thorn would be, it would be, I mean, sad to say,
but it would be Chenet crashing the group date, you know, that's like a huge story.
We had such a good day.
And it was, the group date was going so well.
Sarah, it has been such a blast having you on. Thank you so much. I know we talked a lot about the drama, but I'm hoping in the weeks to come that will subside a little bit. I'm hoping that more of the love stories and the actual connections of why we watch the show will be there. But it's been such a pleasure. Keep on rocking that body glitter. I'm going to have me the concoction after all of this. I will definitely DM it to you so you guys can have it and start rocking it because y'all got to glow with me.
All right, Sarah. Take care. Stay in touch.
Bye, Sierra. So great.
Bye, ladies. All right. I had such a blast having her on. And you know what I like most is she's not afraid to spill the tea.
She is not. We get some girls on who, you know, just, it's harder when you're not a part of the drama to then kind of put yourself in it and start commenting on it. But Sierra is full-fledged in it and she is more than happy to talk about it. So it made for a fantastic interview.
Yes, such a blast. I can't wait to see more of her. I mean, we still have a lot of drama, I think, to get through. Obviously, there's another.
To be continued next week, so I'm sure we'll be seeing more of Cheney.
We'll hopefully be seeing no more of the shrimp.
It's going to still be a wild ride.
So buckle up Boucher Nation.

Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.
Maybe. Find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the I

When you think about emotion regulation, you're not going to choose an adaptive strategy
which is more effortful to use unless you think there's a good outcome.
Avoidance is easier.
Ignoring is easier.
Denials easier.
Complex problem solving.
Takes effort.
