This is an I-Heart podcast.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Jamel Hill, host of the Sports and Politics and on the latest episode of Spolitics, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries joins me for a candid conversation about the state of the Democratic Party.
What do Republicans say to you privately that they won't say publicly?
Many of them are in fear of their political lives.
We continue to say to them, you were elected to defend your constituents.
and there's life after Congress.
Make sure to listen to this episode of Politics
on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast,
or wherever you get your podcast.

Hey everyone.
Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour.
I'm Joe.
And I'm Serena.
And we are here with our two lovely guests.
Ria and Fran, chicks in the office.
If you don't know, they have a wildly successful podcast.
They have been crushing it.
I just saw him in an article on, was it Vulture?
Yes.
have like as like an influential podcast which i agree um you're one of the few podcasts that i listen
to uh i'm a fan and i'm just happy to have you guys here so welcome thank you so much for
that was an incredible introduction joe wow i'm really hyped up already appreciated that yeah that was
great thank you so much for having us i feel like it's been a long time coming yeah but ria um you did
say publicly that you mentioned that uh serena and i were uh one of your favorite bachelor couples
um so that's why i honestly multiple times um it also might have to do with the fact that like i know
you guys in real life too so you know like it's you guys have great personalities and your love
shines through and i will always shout that from the mountaintops yeah we're i would say
we're friends like on a scale of one through 10 on a scale of one through 10 like we're friends but
like on a scale one through 10 if your best friend in the world's attend where would we
rank each other on the friend scale.
Good quite. Because I, I love, like, a 10 is like me and Ria.
Yeah, right. Like, you guys are what, like a three?
You know, like, I was going to say, I was going to say four.
I was going to say four. Three and a half four. Yeah. I think that's
like, we're not getting invited to your guys' wedding. You weren't invited to our
house. But if I, like, run into you on the street, I'm really happy to see you.
Totally. Right. And we've gone out for some dinners when it's convenient. Yep. Right.
When we've, we've lined up at the same events.
Yep. Yep. We're always excited to see you guys. Yes. If we're at the same event, we will definitely have dinner and it'll be a blast. If Serena and I are throwing a dinner party, which we never do, you're probably wouldn't invite you because we're not that close, but we're still flat. Exactly. Like, I wouldn't like, okay, so if you were, if you were throwing like a brand event dinner and we weren't invited, I'd be upset. I'd be like, oh, like, why didn't they think of this? But if you were just throwing like a personal dinner party, you'd be like, oh, of course we're not there.
Why would we be there?
I think you would think it was weird if you wore it.
Yeah, like we're not going to your birthday.
Yeah, like a personal event.
But does that make us more colleagues than friends that you would like?
Probably.
Probably.
Probably acquaintances.
Colleagues, but colleagues can be friends.
We've gone from friends to acquaintances.
Like, do we wish each other a happy birthday?
You know what I mean?
Like, it doesn't, I don't think we have.
I might like comment on your Instagram post.
Yeah.
Or like I've slid up on a DM on your story.
You're posting it's your birthday.
I might write like oh my god happy birthday
totally you know if someone were to ask you
about us or we were to come up in conversation
would you say oh I'm friends with them
like I feel like that's okay
yeah we're friends with them they're great
totally yeah yeah yeah yeah I know what I say
I definitely play you guys as friends yes yeah I say
if they somebody mentioned I say yeah I love them
they're awesome that's what I say exactly yeah that's perfect
and we say the same I don't know if I actually love you guys
but like I do
you know what I'm saying?
I don't think I
I don't do you guys have our numbers
I don't have your numbers
well Fran and Joe
Ria and Joe weren't you guys
Yeah we have Joe's number
Joe and I were yeah
We've gone down some dark rabbit holes
Yeah
I and also the Santa thing
When Joe when you guys
And Joe came a Santa at a live show
Yep yep yep
I feel like Serena and
Noah bond over their peanut allergy
No we do
And Noah, if you're listening, I wanted to let you know that before this, I went to grab a chicken sandwich, and they told me that they couldn't because they used not oils.
So I know. I'm just, yeah, thank God I checked. Just a reminder.
Well, this has been a great way to start the podcast. So let's, you know what? Who, what's better and more comfortable than talking about your level of friendship?
That means we're all comfortable with each other. That's true. Exactly.
Because does that bump us up?
Now we might be a solid for.
We can all be honest with each other.
That's a true sign of friendship.
If we really didn't like each other, we wouldn't be able to have this conversation.
Exactly.
We'd be faking it.
We'd be like, ah.
Oh, you guys are like a seven.
Totally.
Yeah.
This is a, this is a solid for trending upward.
So we'll see.
Right.
We will see where the friendship goes.
Absolutely.
After the weddings.
After the weddings.
We can't afford to make new friends right now.
No, no.
That's totally fair.
invite us.
Okay, so let's get into
some things, Bachelor, so we just
not that it's super relevant,
but Joey just did have a season of The Bachelor.
You guys cover the show.
We've watched the show with you a few times.
Thoughts, opinions
on the season and the finale.
Let's go see. Yeah, I mean, one of you
could do season. Yeah, I mean, it was a
great season. Really,
it brought us
back in more
than past seasons, I feel like.
Joey's season was great,
loved all the girls.
And on top of that,
I think it holds a special place in our heart
because it was the first finale
that we got to go to.
We went after the final rose.
And that was something special.
But again, getting into the inside,
we finally felt like we were somebody
that we got to go.
It was extremely exciting.
I actually can't believe
that's the first time you guys have gone.
Yes, too.
Same.
I mean, we really,
it just lined up
that we were going to be an
at the same time for our live show.
So we really tried to make that happen.
And we did.
And it was honestly such an honor to go because we've been following the show for so long.
So it was so cool to be there and just like see how the magic happens in person.
But during the season, I was saying that I think and at the end after the finale,
I solidified as Joey is the best bachelor ever.
Like just from start to end, I thought that he played his cards right.
Like a lot of times when somebody becomes the lead, you get the hate train on them, right?
It's like some people will love them and stick up for them.
Other people will start to hate them.
Joey was just pretty solid all around.
It was like he's making all the right moves
and he ended up making the right decision in the end.
Yeah, he was really good.
I agree.
Like you can't really talk shit about Joey,
but what would you,
would you rather have that
or do you like having a mix of like
you get the Clayton's of the world
where they kind of like fuck their season up
and then that's also kind of fun.
Oh, give me pilot P's season.
Right, exactly.
It has to go.
That's my dream over and over again.
It has to go in either direction
and you have to know early on in the season.
Like Ria said, with like a pile of Pete season,
you're just, it's just chaos
and which you're enjoying from a drama standpoint.
Exactly.
And I also feel like there's a third tier
where it's just like boring.
Like I didn't find Joey's to be boring.
Even though his, yeah, Sacks.
I found to be quite boring.
You know, I'm really happy for them, though.
They look really happy, and I'm so happy that they, you know, found each other and it worked out.
For Joey's season, though, I just, I wasn't necessarily, like, bored by it.
I think that there were a lot of great contestants on the show as well that had so many different stories and backgrounds and personalities that that also added to it as well.
But when you're talking about Pyle Pete's season and you get his mom barging in for the finale or barbing in.
Barbing in.
Then it just makes it that much more exciting.
And I feel like it had been a while since we've had a baxter like Joey that I think people were at the point where they were like, I'm over this.
I just want a really strong male lead and he was able to do it, which was great.
Yeah. And I think that, you know, obviously when it came to The Bachelorette and the new season of The Bachelorette, it was like everybody, you know, had their opinion on who they wanted. And I'm actually excited for Jed's season. I feel like people jumped the gun too soon on like, oh my gosh, but we wanted Maria and we wanted Daisy and why didn't that happen? I'm excited. I'm excited for the new season of The Bachelorette.
Out of you two, who do you think would be a better Bachelorette, a more entertaining Bachelorette?
Well, those are two different questions.
Yeah, those are two different questions.
I think you would be a more entertaining.
That's right.
Well, Ria, you're definitely more emotional.
Yeah.
You're easier to cry a lot.
Right.
Yeah, I'm definitely more emotional.
And you would lead with your emotions.
Yes.
Yes.
Like I love very hard.
Yeah.
And I can also hate very hard.
Yeah.
I move a little slower.
Yeah.
So I think I think yours would be a way more entertaining.
Yeah. But in terms of like finding love and all that, like, you know, I think we'd both be great at that because I think we're doing pretty well for ourselves now. Yeah. Definitely. No, 100%. I think that we'd be, that we could do, but we would do it in different ways. Yeah.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious. Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK story time podcast. So we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend
really cheated with his professor or not.
To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
I never envisioned being with a woman.
I'll just be honest.
I'm Jamel Hill, host of the Sports and Politics Podcasts, Politics.
On this week's episode, I'm joined by Basketball Legend, Candice Parker,
who stops by to discuss her candid new book, The Can Do Mindset,
in which she shares why she waited two years into marriage to come out.
Like, when I close my eyes at night, every night, I was like, I need to find my prince charming.
Like, it was never a princess.
Like, that never entered into my mind.
But, you know, as I learned, sometimes life gives you things wrapped in a package that you didn't expect it.
And that was just, you know, and honestly, it took me a long time to be okay with myself.
Make sure to listen to this week's episode of Spolitics on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast.

If you could, if you could choose a male lead for the next Bachelor in a relationship or
non in a relationship from the Bachelor franchise. Oh. Who would you have chosen? Who would
you choose? Don't just say me, don't just say me unless you truly mean it.
No, just from watching, like, a watching standpoint.
Yeah, like, in a relationship or not.
Honestly, my- Just because my-er-strand point.
My brain went in a totally different direction.
I don't know.
I don't know if I would pick any of the.
Pilot-a-Pete.
Pilot-Pee round two.
Give me a pilot Pete round two.
He's going to mess it up again.
Yeah.
Like, it's not like he's, he will be the same pilot Pete that we watched on his original season.
I mean, this dates me for how long I've been watching the show,
but they did that once.
where they bed that Brad, he got two seasons.
But they did it like back to back.
Yeah.
There's few, very, very few leads I would ever need to see again,
not because they weren't great.
Just like, it's too soon.
You know what I mean?
Like I know there was like, you know,
give Rachel or Gabby like their own season kind of thing.
And it's like love them, but like we just saw their season.
Pete, it's been like enough time.
Yeah.
That I actually would totally want to see him again.
Like Barb, bring her back, bring them all back.
Yeah.
It would be incredible.
I couldn't, like, even the more recent guys, like the guys from charity season, they were all good on Paradise, but I don't, they, I don't know if any of them have, like, Bachelor potential.
I got one.
I want to double Andrew and Greg.
Oh, you're right.
You're right.
That was a good one.
Because they've done the double Bachelorette.
Right.
Yeah.
And they're besties.
Andrew and Greg are best friends.
So true.
And they're very entertaining on TikTok.
That's actually a great idea.
What about, what about Tyler?
I he just
I'm not sure he would be like the best
you know
just only because I don't know if he would fully
like buy into it yeah
he's almost like done fine for himself on his own
that he I mean he doesn't need to do it but
I feel like he's almost like too removed at this point
which is his goal so that's great exactly and like
what about what about guys in the franchise that are in a relationship
I I would maybe throw Jason
Antarctic up there just to
just to really
Joe's like what about me
I know I'm honestly
I'm thinking
I'm honestly
now I'm just
I was just adding more
to not say Joe
yeah
wow this I see the way
I'm shocked
Joe we can't even picture you
as the bachelorette
as the bachelor
I mean the bachelor
certainly not the bachelor
I'm glad you can't picture me
as the bachelor's
we just can't picture you as the bachelor
okay we know you with Serena
and that's all we want
and also it's very different
That's all I want to.
Somebody who's in a relationship.
In a relationship is different in my mind than you guys are straight up married.
You know?
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's, okay, so going into Jen's season, what are your thoughts about her?
Like, how do you, how do you picture her as the next lead?
I think she's so sweet, but I think we're kind of flying blind a little bit, which is not a bad thing.
I think sometimes that's good.
We did with charity and she was like incredible.
exactly when you don't really know when they sometimes you get the lead who was 100% the star of their season that they were on in the group and you know Jen had her moments but they weren't they weren't big moments so I feel like it's exciting because their potential is there to learn so much more about her through her season like we'll we'll find out so much more about her because we didn't we didn't really get to so much during the bachelor yeah I agree
and I think she has a cute and bubbly personality
and it just like brings livelihood so
I'm excited to watch and Serena
like you mentioned like I remember when we first
interviewed charity before her season I was
like blown away by her and I couldn't wait
to watch her season because I just
thought she just had such an amazing
personality. Great energy
and just great energy. Which they did not show like
I remember saying like when we
were talking about charity season coming up we were
like I was like it's not that she doesn't have a
personality just don't know what her personality is
because I feel like I have like
haven't seen it but she was such a great lead so yeah and i and i think with um jen like she made a joke
at the final rose where she was like shot time or whatever and people like yeah people kind of made
fun at that but then i was like if maria would have done that people would have been eating it up they
would have been like oh my god that's classic maria it's amazing so i just feel like people pick and
choose and everyone just has to give her like an open shot right it felt like very soon in that moment too
because everybody was so, like, rooting so hard for Maria
that everyone's needed to kind of calm down a little
and realize it's not that, it's not, it's not like that big of a deal
that it wasn't her, you know, like, immediately, like,
first reaction was like, oh, my God, how can it not be hurt?
And it's like, okay, calm down, it's okay.
Like, they'll find somebody else.
It'll be great.
So I think it'll be, I just hope they found good,
good girls for her
because I do think with this show
sometimes
you mean guys?
I mean guys yeah sorry guys
they have
we are all over the place today
I was going to say because the guys
sometimes
they cast so well
for the Bachelor
and not as much for the Bachelorette
sometimes they got like
there's like a few guys
and I'm like okay those guys are
nice those guys are winners
and it feels like the last few seasons
of The Bachelor
all the girls have been amazing and the guys there's a lot more dud guys yeah that is true i mean
there are some good there were some good guys that came out of charity season like i mean we got jolly
yeah so yeah i know so i'm saying only a few though yeah did you see joey's new haircut
i i liked it okay i liked it i don't know if i feel positively like he's a handsome guy
no matter what but that that's how i felt that was like he's oh yeah i mean i thought i either way
I thought it was good.
He's extremely handsome, so, I mean, he looks good regardless, for sure.
But I, from somebody who lives in a family where my, you know, not taking ricochet shots at my family,
but my brother, my dad, my uncles, they deal with hair loss.
And I know that if my brother could have Joey's head of hair, he would in a heartbeat.
So when I see guys with great hair
Cut their hair off
I'm like but you got it
You got the hair
Yeah but he'll grow it back
He spent so much time with it
He seems like he has that kind of hair
That'll just grow back into a flow
Yeah
It's giving like post bachelor
Like I want to change my look
You know what it is
Like the Matt James beard
Like that's his head
Or an entourage when Vinnie Chase
Just shaves his head off too
And they're like
Oh my God we can't do the reshoots
Right
Well I hope Joey didn't
I hope Joey didn't shape his head
For those reasons
that was such a strange
season of entourage
Vinnie Chase you could not
it was so hard to watch him
with that haircut
yeah it was bad
I gotta be honest
I still love
I'm it's just my favorite show
so I think
I just love any season of it
like people hate season seven
and I like it
season eight's the last one
season seven is when
when he goes up the deep end
he starts dating Sasha Gray
I couldn't stand that season
yeah
it's a tough season
have you watched the movie
recently because Joe and I recently just rewatch the movie I have rewatched
recently and that's how I got my sister's computer hacked because I was trying to get that
the entourage movie like years ago when it first came out a hacker got me and open up the
camera on me because I was trying to get the entourage movie on there besides the point
wasn't my favorite like I think I think they could have done better yeah yeah yeah
because Haley Joel Osman in that movie is so fucking annoying
Sorry, am I allowed to curse on here?
Yeah, he's the, he's the son of Billy Bob Thornton.
Oh my God, he's so annoying.
It's just too many cameos.
Like the cameos were actually so, the cameos, it was like, it was like too gaudy.
It was like, okay, we get it.
Like, fucking, you know, Radicali, Rhonda Rousey.
Oh, and she was not good in it.
Yeah.
Not good.
No.
But you know what I will say, the movie itself is not the best, but the way the movie
ended was like the perfect way to tie off that theory like flown in him getting back together they
have the baby he's doing god knows what turtles rich and what's his face gets his Oscar yeah i was
stoked about that the Oscar ending is amazing it is yes victory yeah that gave me chills
I know watching a bachelor that hasn't seen on your eyes I'm not here for this
they'll go watch now cutting back
to The Bachelor, do you have a favorite night one episode ever?
Oh, yeah.
So what we've been doing is we've been watching.
We've done this for like five or six people where we watch their night one episode
and then interview them.
So like we've done Ben Higgins.
We did Pilot Pete.
We did Hannah Brown.
And going back and watching people's night ones, like I feel like you remember the
finale so clearly.
but like seeing the night once and all these people that like have now gone into paradise and get married and like interviewing the leaves and hearing like the behind the scenes of their night once has been so crazy but joe that was your your time to shine night one yeah yeah really i couldn't have done worse do you think back on that and you're like man i really got sent home immediately like are you just like what the hell yeah yeah all the time all the time no but i do there's a part like watching night one episodes yeah yeah
I will there is a part of me though I said this I said this on this podcast I'm like there's a part of me that like I'm really happy and in I'm happy and I love my wife obviously but there is a part of me that like kind of looks back and I'm like it is kind of sad that I like I sit here I talk about this show every fucking week but like I actually never experienced that like I truly I I don't I actually don't know what goes on like he's never been on like a group day like like nothing yeah oh my God that is
so funny. I'd never have anything thought about that. Yeah. The, the, the, the season. That is so funny.
Yeah. Two long paradise seasons for you, but, but not a normal season. Right. I don't know what my
favorite night one would be. So, I really liked Hannah Browns. I think she had a good one. Her dress
too is like, one of the past night one look. Yeah, those like, and all those guys were just good
good ones. One that sticks out in my mind and I, maybe, I'm also guessing maybe you guys had just
watched this one, but just because
it was so ridiculous, not because I liked
it, was Caitlin's
because that was a
double Bachelorette, and
they made the guys vote.
It was crazy.
It's insane. Like, watching,
when I think back at that night one, I'm like, oh, my
God, I can't believe they did that, where they
brought in two girls, and they
had the guy's vote, and
Caitlin won, and the other girl just
had to leave. That was it. Insane.
Brit, the other girl.
was so confident
like so sure it was going to be heard
Caitlin was not and they clearly like
did not. I don't know if they had like actual
issues but like they didn't
get along because they were not speaking
to each other. Like there was no
I mean that puts you in such an uncomfortable
position like you're
you want to be nice
but you also are like I want to be the bachelor
I feel like
it kind of creates a complex
for both of them like if I'm
Brit I'm leaving and I'm
feeling like the worst person in the world.
Like I'm like and then if you're Caitlin
you're kind of like I was picked
like you know and then if someone
ends up not liking you you're like well I was
picked so it's
it's very confusing and
they didn't have to pick between Gabby and Rachel
but there were
clear signs
of they can't do it again unless it's Andrew
and yeah no they have to do it
they have to do it to a guy one time
to even it out yeah but
it just and I feel like Gabby and Rachel
kind of struggled with that too
a little bit like because some of the guys were like
switching on who they want like I don't know
it's just it's just madness
it's just like the bachelor like having
the bachelorette a woman is the lead it's like
all right we're going to give you know she has all the power
and then they're like nah fuck it
let's let's let the guys
still vote like it's crazy that the guys
have that the guys have never had to do it
yeah Greg and Andrew
yeah well they're putting Greg and Andrew in
I mean, I think they're both single
so I actually think it is possible.
One more, another, I got another.
I set them both into paradise.
Another question.
Have you ever thought about what your limo entrance would be?
Funny enough, I really, like, I never have.
And I'm just, it would be, it would be something punny.
That is surprising to me.
You guys, we have the show so much.
I would have thought at some point you would have been like,
this is what I would have done.
Yeah.
we just can't we love talking about the show but we have never pictured ourselves on the show
never never ever like you know like some people like love the show and they're like oh i would die to be on it
it's like we love the show but we love the show from a distance like wouldn't want to be on it but
we always say keegs would be so good oh yeah no you for sure she would be good she may have her
exactly i think she would know i think she would know i think she would have her exactly i think i would
do something punny and cringy and i would hate it but that's i love a dad joke
Right, but that's you, you know what I mean?
Like, they would love that.
Like, oh, this girl's funny.
Like, she could do a little dad joke.
For me, like, I wouldn't want to go to, like, stereotypical Italian.
You might do like a lady in the tramp thing.
Oh, I kind of like that.
Share a little spaghetti.
You know, share a little spaghetti.
That's cute.
I thought that's what they were going to do.
I thought that's what I was going to be when I went on the child.
I was like, oh, I'm going to be like the Jersey Shore guy, like the Ayo.
And you made
From Chicago
Yeah
You made yourself into that with the sauce
You were like
Oh they're not going to make me that
Well guess what I'm making it myself
I'm doing it I'm doing it anyways
Ha ha ha
Someone I think did do the lady
And the tramp thing on my season
Because it was like
But it wasn't meant to be like
Hey I'm Italian
It meant to like they like
It was like a kiss of a little
A kiss thing right
Which always I could never
Like right away
No me either
You're gonna kiss
I would pull it, you'd pull it away like the last second.
Yeah, like bite it up, like, chomp it off.
Yeah, that's cute.
Right, and then it wouldn't look cute.
It would just look, um, not sexy at all.
Uh, Serena, what was your limel entrance?
I brought out like a stepping stool because Matt was like six, five.
So cute.
I'm really sure.
And I was like, I brought a little something to help me get on your level.
And then I stepped on it.
And I like, was like, now we can see like eye to eye or something like that.
You could do that right now if your fiance was the best.
Yeah, that's true.
If my fiance right now.
I was back to I could do this other entrance it worked well because I made him like help me get up on it
yeah I remember watching that being very very attracted to you in that moment thank you
oh wait that's so cute and like I love that so much like not you know not to make like Joe jealous
of your entrance with Matt but like that is incredible I yeah I liked it I wanted to do a little
something I didn't want to just like talk I was like I feel like I feel more comfortable if I have
like something planned to like lean on yeah prop or something um but i remember walking out
the limo and turning to the guy who opened the door for me to say thank you when i like hit the
limbo in the stool i was like oh sorry oh i'm on my way yeah i was like sorry okay bye here we go
but yeah and then we were at we were at nemacolin because we weren't at the mansion and i remember
the stairs were like crazy sweet i was like carrying the stool up in my heels like these long
like the stairs.
And you're like, oh, why did I do this?
It's funny that they have you like keep your prop.
Like, I would feel like you could just throw the prop in the bush.
I'm like, all right, I'm done with this.
Yeah, I should have thought of that at the bottom of the stairs.
But, no, I, I liked, I'm glad when it worked out for my limbo entrance.
Yes, that's a good one.
That's a good one.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school.
a week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants
them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his
professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart
Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I never envision being with a woman.
I'll just be honest. I'm Jamel Hill, host of the Sports and Politics Podcasts Politics.
On this week's episode, I'm joined by basketball legend, Candice Parker, who stops by to
discuss her candid new book, The Can Do Mindset, in which she shares why she waited two years.
years into marriage to come out. Like when I close my eyes at night, every night, I was like,
I need to find my prince charming. Like, it was never a princess. Like, that never entered into my
mind. But, you know, as I learned, sometimes life gives you things wrapped in a package that you
didn't expect it. And that was just, you know, and honestly, it took me a long time to be okay
with myself. Make sure to listen to this week's episode of Spolitics on the I-Hare
Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.

And want to hear people with mental illness, psychobabble.
Yes, yes.

Okay, last Bachelor-related question.
Then this may be a little difficult off the top of your head, so get as many as you could.
If you could put together, like right now, your dream scenario for who you would want to see in Paradise,
five people who would, like, you'd be like, all right, this is my all-star crew.
going into the next season of Paradise, who would it be?
I mean, as much as I would love an Andrew and Greg Batchelor,
I think it's way more realistic that they could go back to Paradise.
I mean, Andrew's done it, but Greg has not.
Greg's never done it.
Greg has not.
Andrew, then put Victoria Fuller back on Paradise and see what happens between her and Greg.
Throw Victoria Fuller back in there.
I'd be shocked if she ever went back.
I would send.
No, she doesn't need to go back.
I will put Maria and Daisy.
Yes.
Yeah. Pilot Pete. You could throw Pete back.
Oh, God. We're dying for Pilate Pete to go back to paradise.
And he was great on traitors.
Yes. You really are like right on television.
You're a reality TV star, Pete.
Yeah.
So yeah, I would put, yeah, I think Pilot Pete, Daisy, Maria, Greg, Andrew, and let's think of one more, one more girl to go on there.
I would maybe throw like, oh, one more girl.
Yeah, because we have three guys.
I'm trying to think he were the last bachelor's.
Joey, Zach.
Takeaway Victoria, because I don't think Vichario.
Oh, what about, what about, um, um, um, um, um, Ariel.
Oh, I like her.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a good one.
That's a good one.
Thank you, thank you.
I would also maybe send Tanner back too.
I like Tanner.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Hmm.
Shell, let's not do that with our hat.
That's it.
Uh, okay.
I think that's, yeah, I think that's not do that with that.
That's a great lineup.
of chicks in the office chicks in the office you guys have been a podcast now for six years about
yeah yeah longer less than no about six 20 18 yeah how did your podcast start I don't know if I've
ever heard that story um let me think back for a minute well we were we started doing um an hour
long radio show on series XM every single day Monday through Friday when bar
Barstool Sports got their
Serious XM channel.
So the two of you together
the two of us together
through Barstool through Sirius.
Well, we met at Barstool when we were interns.
And we just like bonded over pop culture
and we started making one minute videos
on our Instagram, chicks in the office, every day.
We were literally the only girls.
Yeah, we were the only girls there besides Erica
at the time, she's no longer CEO, but at the time, CEO.
Doing content, I should say.
Yeah, only girls doing content.
And we started doing one-minute videos on Chicks in the Office, literally just one-minute
videos, pop culture-related.
And then that kind of took off.
And when Barstool got their series XM channel, Dave came out to us and was like, okay,
so you guys are going to be on radio every single day, Monday through Friday.
And at the time, I was 20, Fram was 23.
And we, like, literally had no idea how to host a radio show.
And I think we were probably the youngest.
Radio is also like a whole different skill.
probably the youngest host on serious XM like it was insane and it was live every single day yeah you
could even legally drink yeah no I literally couldn't drink like I remember doing the radio show the day
after my 21st birthday party yeah um which was insane like coming in that Friday and and doing the show
so that was crazy and people really enjoyed that and they were like okay why don't you guys
tried making this into a podcast and we kind of and this was in 2018 and we at the time thought oh my
God, there's so many podcasts already.
Like, nobody's going to listen to our podcast.
I mean, now podcasts have exploded to a whole other level.
But at that time, they were still popular.
And we started throwing the radio show into podcast form.
And it exceeded their expectations, like 10 plus times, like what they thought it was going to get.
So, yeah, then it just took off from there.
And we started doing it once a week.
Then it went to twice a week.
And then in COVID, we started doing it three times a week because we were home.
We, like, fully transitioned from radio to doing this, too, because it was like,
radio we would do five days a week and then we would kind of turn it into like the best of the week
episode would be in a podcast form and then radio uh once the radio deal ended it was easy for us
like fully transitioned to just doing the podcast yeah and then uh during covid when we started doing
three times a week they kind of slowed down on the radio show you know because it was just
people didn't know how to do the radio show from home at that point and then other people took
over at barcel and then the radio the channel kind of ended after that so yeah the contract was just
yeah anyway so have you guys ever gone back and listened to like your first radio you should would
you would you ever no no literally i'd rather jump off to george washington bridge no literally like
also my my voice changed like literally the summer of 2021 like my balls dropped or something
and my voice has literally changed like i don't know
happened. So that also makes it. No, I don't like to listen to myself now. I could and listening to
myself six years ago. I, uh, no. I could. I do agree with that. Like, I've never listened to this
podcast. Uh, we don't listen to ours either. Yeah. Like I do like, like a love all our listeners.
And thank you guys for listening. I just, yeah, I can't, I don't like listening to myself.
There's something very different about listening to yourself. I think it's just, there's
some science behind it or whatever you sound different well that's like why people like for a variety
of reasons but one of them is like the way you hear yourself is not the same as the way you actually
sound to other people so it's like got to be mentally jarring to be like but that's not my voice
right i could watch our clips like i have no problem watching our clips and video of it like
if i ever watch i'll watch it on youtube but i can't just listen to it like i need to see us speaking
I don't smoke weed, but like the first time I ever smoked weed, I remember hearing my voice
what I thought was like the first time and really being like, this is what I sound like.
Wait, but just like listening to yourself talk, like not anyone playing it back to you?
No, yeah, just listening to myself talk because I was like the first time I was like, I was like, whoa, this is actually.
I think that's what I would do a different.
That's a different thing.
You were just really thinking about it.
You were just like, wait, you were like, I'm talking right now.
So you guys have, you guys have had like some, like, you guys have had A list celebrities on your, on your show.
Is there anyone that, A, you were like either shocked to get or be like just, I don't know, like somebody who you're like, wow, that was like, I was like a massive star.
You guys have some really big ones, I feel like in the last year.
I mean, just two weeks ago, Jessica Alba was kind of.
like yeah like you know Jessica Allie you grow up like oh my god that's incredible yes it's like the coolest
thing that's amazing she's the coolest person ever yeah that's awesome she was she was so sweet and it was kind
just like growing up like you look up to Jessica Alba you're like oh my god I want to be Jessica Alba so
the fact that she came on our show was an honor um we had we had a bunch last year that was like
are they sure they know what uh what what what what we are like what you're like we had Ashley
Coucher. We had Josh Jumel. We had James
Marston, Drew Barrymore.
Katie Perry.
Katie Perry. He's huge.
Some really massive. Do you ever get nervous before you have
somebody like that on? Yes. Yes.
Absolutely. What interview were you the
most nervous for? Is there one that you remember being like I'm really
freaking out for this? I think probably the Jonas
Bellers just because we had like a whole day
plan with them. We did like a brewery
tour and it was a whole thing.
And so we had a lot of time with them leading up to the interview before we sat down,
which was a good thing and also a bad thing because we had so much time to think about it.
And it was also one of those interviews that, like, I felt like we really wanted to nail.
Like, it had to be perfect because our listeners had, like, heard us for a while saying how badly we wanted them on.
So it was like, well, we have to crush this interview.
I blacked out during that entire thing.
Like, if you asked me right now one question that I asked them,
during that interview, could not tell you.
I, like, it's, it's brown in my memory.
Yeah. I do remember a game we played where it was like,
does Fran or the Jonas Brothers know the Jonas Bellers better?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I think Fran knew them better.
No way.
No, no, I got a lot of those wrong and then I was very upset with myself.
Yeah, I specifically remember the softball question.
I was making a joke, but I didn't, I don't remember the actual outcome.
That I do, I do slightly remember.
But, yeah, no, there's, and I feel, honestly, sometimes it's the ones you
wouldn't expect that will make us more nervous because we're just like, oh, man, this could
be a wild card.
Sometimes I get nervous when I feel like the guests, maybe we have some restrictions on what
to talk about.
And then I kind of am like, okay, well, what if there's a space in time?
Like what if we just run out of things, which we never have.
but there have been times where the interview starts off kind of slow and like when you're
interviewing somebody and they give you like one word answers and and no and there's no like evolving of
the kind of anxiety too like I'm always like what if we look at the timer and it's only been 18 minutes
and they ran through every like major topic we had prepared and the conversation is just not flowing
and now you're like what do I ask you right exactly and then you're like kind of like there's no evolving of the
conversation because you didn't really give anything.
Yeah. And now we're like, I'm like, we were given restrictions on what not to ask.
So now like that, that, it actually makes me more nervous than, than anything.
You're not breaking any personal wall where you feel like you're actually having a conversation.
You're just asking questions and getting answers. And there's no in between conversation where you're like, okay, well, that's, uh, that's all we have to.
It's like, you answered my exact question. You didn't expand in a way where I could take it anywhere.
Yeah. Yeah. And I, and even for our listeners, like, I get upset for them sometimes because I'm like, I bet they're listening to this and they're like, well, what? Like ask this or why didn't the conversation go there? But there's like stuff that goes on behind the scenes that maybe they don't know that we weren't allowed to ask something. And then, you know, I'm like, shit, I wish this like, you know, was a little bit more in depth. Yeah. So for everyone listening, if we don't ask questions that you wanted us to ask, know that maybe we just couldn't ask them.
Yeah. Maybe there was just.
a limit with our friendship trending upward i was actually nervous about this
really what if yeah what i'm like what if they what if what if what if this knocks us down to a
three what if we just ran out of things to talk about those two i can't tell you know it's just
so lame any anything you guys would like to share any exciting projects coming up anything that
you want to plug just the usual yeah chicks in the office three
times a week. Follow us on
Instagram, TikTok, Twitter.
New episodes, Monday, Wednesdays,
and Friday. Very exciting.
As always. And then you can find our
we have, you know, long last
names sometimes, so you can find our personals
on there.
When I start spelling out my last name, I'm like,
you know what, just go luck on chicks in the office.
You'll find us.
I have that same issue.
Wait, Rhea, aren't you doing
the barstool reality?
Yes. I am.
that's a reality show. It is a reality show. Surviving Barstool, that'll be filmed in the fall.
Oh, you some time. Yeah, I have some time, thankfully.
Super, super pumped for that. I think it's going to be insane. Like, we were just in Chicago at the Barstall office there.
We're doing it in Chicago. We're doing it at the Barstall office there. And we were just there. And a couple of other people that are doing the show. And Dave's doing the show as well. And we were all, like, kind of talking about it. And it was just funny. Like, you know people are fishing all.
already like I was like I haven't talked to anybody about alliances and Dave was like yeah right
and I was like no I really have it but like nobody believes each other right now because you know
of course we have so much time before it that people are going to try and start talking to each other
before the show even begins I've actually I have never heard of it until you and um telly
posted about it and I was like Joe did you see this like what's going on he was so he explained
me what it was and so I've obviously never watched it but I kind of want to see it now
You should watch the last season they did.
It's juicy.
You guys would eat it up.
I mean, they had to take it off YouTube and put it up like to.
Paper view, right?
Paper view because there were some things that were said that they, that YouTube was like, no, we can't have this.
Like, it's real reality TV.
Like, things get heated.
Yeah, it's really, really good.
So I'm excited for that.
But that's, that's in the fall.
So I have a little bit of time.
And then my parents' house is just, every time.
come here. My dad's doing something. Changing the bathrooms, the concrete and the front.
I knew concrete. But nothing could be more than 500. No matter what he does, if you charge over
500, you are ripping him up. Before we let you guys go, we're to play a quick rapid fire.
Who's Who game. It literally is going to take under probably like 40 seconds. Cool.
I will do it. This is between you two. Who's the messiest?
I'm going to go with Fran because every time I walk into her hotel room, I'm shocked.
There you go.
She's never said that to my face before.
Yes, I definitely have.
100% I have.
I always say, oh my God, you put your stuff on the floor.
Oh, well, that, I don't think that that's that weird.
What do you mean?
I will not put my stuff on the floor of a hotel room.
Nothing can touch the floor of the hotel.
Like your luggage, your clothes.
Like I open my luggage on the floor in my hotel room.
I do that too.
It's the other room right now
opened on the floor.
That alone is enough for her to be like,
ugh.
It depends on.
Where are you putting your bag though?
Because you can't put it on the bed.
You put it on a chair.
Like they have those,
they have those things in the closet,
the luggage thing.
If it's like a, like a house with like a clean tile floor,
like that's different.
But like in a hotel room,
I won't put my luggage.
Yeah.
Like, yeah.
Yeah.
Well, that's how people get.
That's how people, that's how people, that's how they get warts.
That's how they get warts too because if you, if you, if you, if you
walk on carpet in a hotel the whole the carpet's usually a little yeah yeah and and my mom always
scared me my entire life about bed bugs like when i would bring my luggage home she would make me leave
it in the garage before i was able to bring them in the house so i think that maybe just comes
maybe that just comes from that wow it definitely does all right well okay rabbit fire uh was yeah
sorry full explanation on that one we do this every time honestly it was that's great uh who's
more talkative. I think
Ria. Okay. What was the next question?
Who's the funniest?
Oh, thank you. I would say both of us on
different humor. Yeah.
Who takes longer to get ready?
Me. Fran.
Who's better at keeping secrets?
Fran. Yeah, I think maybe me.
Who's the planner?
I don't know.
Kind of both of us.
We both like to plan things.
Different occasions.
Depends on the occasion.
Yep, yep.
Who's best at leading a tough interview?
Ooh.
Depends on the person.
Yeah, this is a thing.
We have it, when you have a co-os, you just have that chemistry where you know when
someone needs to pick up a section or someone needs to like, we're like, oh, you just
ask that question, run with that for a little.
And then I'll jump back in.
I think you can have an unspoken.
And also, I think there's some.
guests that maybe you'll know better than I
or I'll know certain guests better than you
so like I think we sometimes we have like
somebody that they were pitched or we pitched
to them and it's from a show that like
Ria absolutely loved or a show that I
absolutely loved and maybe the other one of us
hasn't watched as much so it's like
you know someone's leading in that scenario
yeah makes sense
okay well I mean that's really that's all I have
wonderful oh great game
thank you guys
honestly thank you guys so much for doing this we really
of course thank you for having us to all our listeners make sure you also follow chicks in the
office and listen to them they are awesome thank you guys so much for listening and make sure
you download and subscribe our podcast to subscribe too thank you guys so much thanks guys
