Thanks again for joining us, and we are always excited to be back, huh Kathy? Always, always, always, always. Happy day. You're doing our case, Susan? I am. I am indeed. New Year, New Day. New Day, exactly. Okay, well, today, we have have a very special guest. Please welcome from Katie Thurston season, Erin Clancy. Hey, Aaron, how are you doing?
Starting point is 00:03:30 Welcome to Golden Hour. Welcome. Hey, ladies, thank you for having me. I'm doing pretty good. I've been sick. That's why I'm so disheveled looking. But, you know, what you get? This is disheveled.
Starting point is 00:03:42 I'd like to see you not dishevel. I'm telling you. When I look at your pictures and your Instagram, that's that million-dollar smile that you came out with and you still own it sick or not. There it is. You got one. two you got one too there it is what do you sick with what do you got what do you have the whole
Starting point is 00:03:59 stick um i think just like yeah the run of the mo flew but you know it hit me like a truck and laid me out and i felt like a uh you know a little bitch but yeah it's always this time of the year that was in it so before we started recording i asked erin if he knew who susan and i who we are because you know he's he's it's been a minute since he's been on paradise or on bachelor and sure enough he said he watched us and he liked us so this this interview is going to go really well okay i was actually i just i'm a schmoozer i just made that up i don't know you guys i'm just kidding i was a fan i was like an italian i was a fan you guys were both great you guys were both great it made me wish i was there to to an extent to an extent as i said you
Starting point is 00:04:47 if you'd been on paradise i would have been your mother i would have taken care of you too i'm six foot four i'm kind of shredded i look good it's perfect it's absolutely perfect now we saw that you were in a relationship with alice gray but haven't seen any updates in a while are you still together no we broke up um four five six somewhat out we broke up okay we broke up a while ago yeah okay don't really want to go too into it we're just you know irreconcilable differences i guess but you know we tried to turn over a divorce lawyer i'm trying to trying to keep it have you been dating since or are you kind of on the low um you know what uh i'm 31 now don't say any don't make any age comments please but a 31 so i feel i feel i feel uh you know
Starting point is 00:05:36 i'm not i'm not really i'm just laying low a little bit yeah trying to kind of uh work on myself and bounce back how i can i'm going to ask you a question because susan and i have a certain age where men do not slide into our DMs because basically they don't know how to operate a computer, never mind Instagram or TikTok or anything else. But in your case, it sucks. But in your case, women do know what they're doing. They're on social media as are men your age. So tell me, do women slide into your DMs and don't lie to me?
Starting point is 00:06:10 They're talking to your mother. So yes, but I haven't been exactly, so I haven't broadcasted that I've been single, I don't think. that much. Instead, I've been posting a little more thirst traps, but, you know, other than that, I haven't explicitly said it. So, uh, not too much, not crazy. And when I was in my relationship, it was people were pretty respectful, which was awesome. Um, but before that, yeah. Would you, would you now, I mean, well, let me back up. Are you open to dating now or not yet? I mean, yeah, for sure. 100%. So if you're open to dating, would you date, how are you dating? Like, are you on the apps?
Starting point is 00:06:48 Are you dating people in your DMs? Like, tell me how that's working. Yeah, I don't know. It's just like no apps, first off. Not that I'm against them, but no apps. Not really DMs. I don't know. I guess friends of a friend are like, you know,
Starting point is 00:07:02 a trip and fall and stumble into someone and going, oh, my God. The gym? The gym. I don't work out and just stare at weights. I think about working out all the time. I go to gym and find the time. Jim's and find the 2.5 pound weights and eat them if that works. Wait, is there anyone, I love it, my kind of guy.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Is there anyone from Bachelor Nation? And I'll be honest, because no one's listening. It's just two old ladies and an adorable young guy. Is there anyone a Bachelor Nation you would date or interested in dating? You know what? That's a, it's a yes. I don't know. Well, would you be interested?
Starting point is 00:07:40 Let my silence speak volumes in this case, because I don't know. Okay. Would you ever go on Paradise? And tell me what you thought of the new format. So I don't have an answer to that first question. So I don't know. But the new format was interesting. The biggest thing I had, right?
Starting point is 00:07:57 And I didn't tell anyone this, but back when Paradise was the original format, it was really hot. It was, I was super sweaty. The second, I went on twice. So the second time I went on, I got Botox in my forehead, so I wouldn't sweat so much on camera. It didn't work. Did it help?
Starting point is 00:08:12 It didn't help. No, it didn't really hot. It doesn't. And it makes sense. everyone crazy because and also I'm like I owe positive blood so so mosquitoes are attracted to me like twins I swear yeah and they come for me they literally come for me so and spiders I got bit my legs swelled up so I'm telling you Aaron when they Susan and I together we happen to be on vacation in St. Martin when they called us about going on paradise last year and of course Susan
Starting point is 00:08:42 couldn't go because she was in a relationship but I could And so we both... What's the first thing I said, Kathy? I'm going to sweat like a pig. We said we're not going to some infested mosquito. We're not doing that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:56 No, we couldn't do it. But so would you, which format do you like better? The one that's the game show or the one that you did? So I liked the one I did out of like nostalgia and and and but but like being a contestant on it. I liked the one you did like infinitely. more. Plus, you can win money, right? Which is cool. And it's really cool. Yeah, it was a blast. I will say it was a blast. I, you know, I don't know if you watched every episode, but Keith and I were friends and we said we weren't
Starting point is 00:09:29 taking the money because you're 31. I'm not. And if you're with some young, gorgeous thing, which I fully imagine you would be, I'm not, you know, you're starting your life. I'm not, so Keith and I were, we hung around a long time because we were not in it for the money. But the challenges were fun they were there's off kathy that's amazing you're a saint and i really i like you even more now you know they thought we were kidding at first thank you i appreciate that but keith and i really did say we're not taking money out of young kids and also you're both rich it sounds like no no no no neither one of a certain me on the other hand and be like let's go bitch you would not no you would never have taken the money and it was like these young ones that have schooled that and
Starting point is 00:10:14 they want to buy their first house and like yeah you know vodka redbells on the weekend i got exactly but if you had a choice you would choose the old way or the new way um i would choose the new way for sure i mean like i i i guess i so being a contestant and and watching it as a you know someone someone that had that experience i think the the new way is way better for contestants i think the biggest thing was like i was extremely uncomfortable so i was allergic i got a spider bite i was allergic to it my leg swelled up i was trying to speak game at like girls with like hobbling around like with a small and like it was just like you know they don't show that you know um but everyone was kind
Starting point is 00:10:55 of like you did paradise twice though right twice yeah would you and you're saying you wouldn't do it again or you're not going to say i i didn't i said i said i wasn't going to say and i said my silence speaks volumes i don't why does it speak volumes am i stupid here i don't know no i don't know just like i'll over your head teth we'll talk about i don't know i mean you know for me it was fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat because I had a blast, but I'm going to do this podcast is about me. It's not in a buggy. It's about you. So now I'm going to add so really it's not about
Starting point is 00:11:22 you at all. It's about you telling me what you think of Taylor, Frankie Paul. What do you think about hers when the new Bachelorette? Um, you know what? Uh, so. Yeah, give us the real stuff. I don't know. I don't know if I should say. Yeah, of course you should. So I don't, so I don't know anything about her. I, well, I don't, I don't know actually. And like, uh, being on, having been on TV, um,
Starting point is 00:11:45 There's a lot that, you know, gets cut out or missing pieces. And so judgments are easily cast, the wrong judgments. And I don't want to be that guy. But I will say I did watch when I saw her, I looked up some stuff about her because I post a little Q&A on Instagram and people are asking me. And I mean, she seems like, I mean, it seems like a firecracker, right? She's a pistol, right? Yeah. And she's doing live posting while filming. Do you like that? Do you like that she's a pistol?
Starting point is 00:12:12 So I think it's going to be really entertaining. as we head into 2026 it's safe to say that 2025 was a year like no other so much news so much disruption and yes so much division that's why we're wrapping up this season of next question with a look back at everything that's happened things are coming at us with such a velocity we thought it was important to take a moment connect the dots and explore what it all means where summing up the first year of Trump's second term with David Graham on Project 2025 and how many of the goals have been implemented. Richard Haas on foreign policy and the changing world order. Jessica Valenti on reproductive rights and the terrifying consequences of abortion bans. Tina Brown on the year's scandals here and across the pond. The president has upended everything from pardons to the press, so we're covering it all. Listen to next question. question with me, Katie Couric on the IHeart

Starting point is 00:13:35 the Real Housewives Potomac were giving you all the laughs, drama, and reality news you can handle. And you know we don't hold back. So come be reasonable or Shady with us each and every Monday. I was going through a walk in my neighborhood. Out of
Starting point is 00:13:51 the blue, I see this huge sign next to somebody's house. Okay. The sign says, my neighbor is a Karen. Oh, what? No way. I
Starting point is 00:14:06 died laughing. I'm like, I have to know. You are lying. You, my guess, y'all. They had some time on their hands. Listen to Reasonably Shady from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Hi, I'm Danny Shapiro, host of the hit podcast Family Secrets. We were in the car, like a Rolling Stone came on, and he said, there's a line in there about your mother. And I said, what? What I would do if I didn't feel like I was being accepted is choose an identity that other people can't have. I knew something had happened to me. the middle of the night, but I couldn't hold on to what had happened.
Starting point is 00:14:49 These are just a few of the moving and important stories I'll be holding space for on my upcoming 13th season of Family Secrets. Whether you've been on this journey with me from season one or just joining the Family Secrets family, we're so happy to have you with us. I'll dive deep into the incredible power of secrets, the ones that shape our identities, test our relationships, and ultimately reveal who we truly are. Listen to Family Secrets on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The moments that shape us often begin with a simple question. What do I want my life to look like now?
Starting point is 00:15:33 I'm Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, and on therapy for black girls, we create space for honest conversations about identity, relationships, mental health, and the choices that help us grow. as cybersecurity expert Camille Stewart Gloucester reminds us We're in a divisive time where our comments are weaponized against us And so what we find is a lot of black women are standing up and speaking out Because they feel the brunt of the pain Each week we explore the tools and insights that help you move with purpose Whether you're navigating something new or returning to yourself If you're ready for thoughtful guidance and grounded support
Starting point is 00:16:12 this is the place for you. Listen to Therapy for Black Girls on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, I'm Kelly, and some of you may know me as Laura Winslow. And I'm Telma, also known as Aunt Rachel. If those names ring a bell, then you probably are familiar with the show that we were both on back in the 90s called Family Matters.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Kelly and I have done a lot of things and played a lot of roles over the years, but both of us are just so proud to have been part of Family Matters. Did you know that we were one of the longest running sitcoms with the black cast? When we were making the show, there were so many moments filled the joy and laughter and cut up that I will never forget. Oh, girl, you got that right. The look that you all give me is so black. All black people know about the look.
Starting point is 00:17:00 On each episode of Welcome to the Family, we'll share personal reflections about making the show. Yeah, we'll even bring in part of the cast and some other special guests to join in the fun and spill some tea. Listen to welcome to the family with Telma and Kelly on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Well, let me ask you, the woman you want, is it like her or do you like the quiet? What's your type? So I like, I like, I'm a guy that's very, I like, I like, I like, I definitely like banter, right? I'm a, I like to consider myself smart, right? but I like that playful, but I also like something that's like sweet and like just there for me at the end of the day.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Like someone has that underlying like I really appreciate this guy and I'm sweet and that nurturing or caring. Then yeah, I mean like roast me all you want, you know, I'm an easy target. And that's kind of what you'd laugh with, right? Exactly. Exactly. Yeah, that friendship. You know what? She's around the corner for you.
Starting point is 00:18:04 I feel sure. So do you think you're going to watch? I said she's around the corner. She's around the corner for you. Yeah. What does that mean? Like physically? It means she's going to come into your life soon because it sounds like you have an open
Starting point is 00:18:17 heart and you're ready. It's basically me wishing you well in your dating life. You're welcome. Oh. Well, I appreciate. You're welcome. We got you, babe. Well, hopefully her season goes well, though.
Starting point is 00:18:28 Are you going to watch? I will tune in. I'm really curious. I like that they choose. I think everyone is. Yeah. I like that they did such big changes. You know, it's going to be really interesting.
Starting point is 00:18:38 You know, you touched on it, Susan. one of the biggest changes, that girl has a phone because she is posting updates. She's got a phone. She's got a phone. So let's start with that. She's posting live update. She's, you know, you see her with a man.
Starting point is 00:18:52 I saw something that said she might have given it away, who her, one of her last two guys. And I'm saying they're going, I don't care who she chooses as long as she's happy. I want to know why she got a phone and we didn't. Wait, and this going in this new direction, do you think they'll go similar with a bachelor? Are they only letting the Bachelorette go wild?
Starting point is 00:19:14 I mean, I hopefully, I think it's probably for everyone. It's going to be slightly different. I do think Bachelorette would probably a little more wild than Bachelor. I think it's more tasteful when the woman is going wild. So let me ask you something now. If Kathy and I were up there, you'd watch? Yeah, for sure. See, Kathy in the show.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Susan wants us to be the twin golden bachelorette. You'd watch it. You'd watch it. Yeah, I'd watch it. I'll probably sign up. Wait, I want to know, do you think that, do you think she's going to, because, you know, she's got three kids, she's been married a couple times, do you think, what's your prediction? What do you think is, we don't know, seriously, but what do you think is going to happen?
Starting point is 00:19:54 Well, if I predict based off just Bachelor data in general, then they'll get engaged and date for a short while and break up. Oh, don't say that. No, I'm just kidding. I'm kidding. I think they're going to, she's going to find a very tall handsome Jack dude and, you know, he's going to be the new Papa and you're describing yourself. You understand you're describing yourself. I've lost some muscle.
Starting point is 00:20:19 I just played pickleball now, so not me. I play pickleball. Do you? Let's play. What's your doper? I don't even know what that means. Yeah, well, maybe I'm out of your league. Did you watch this Golden Bachelor finale?
Starting point is 00:20:32 What's a doper? It's like your rating. It's like, how good you're. I'm a 10. Well, it only goes up to like, okay, you're the best in the world. It probably goes like tennis up to five, I'm guessing, right? It's like, it's like there's a seven, there's seven. The highest guy is like a seven point something.
Starting point is 00:20:50 Well, I'm, I'm not a seven. The rest will have to be in three. Well, we should play anyways. Three would mean you're very good, Susan. Wait, I have a question. Are you still a health care recruiter? Yes, yes. What is that?
Starting point is 00:21:03 I know, I'm getting totally off track, but I just, it was my notes and I got to ask what is that like right now um well right after the bachelor so i've been off for a minute a little bit yeah um i was doing full time like content and influencer type stuff uh i i liked and didn't like it um it doesn't take up a lot of time so you fill your time with like other things for me i don't know i like a little bit more structure so i didn't really i was a little young i feel like i went on when i was 26 and And so I just like, I feel like I like to just go around partying or something. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:41 But right now it's good. I mean, it's flexible job. It's kind of like what I did when I graduated school for the most part. What do you recruit, though? Nurses. What is it? Nurses like, yeah. Travel nurses.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Travel nurses mainly. Yeah. They watch The Bachelor a lot of times too. Oh, there's been tons of them. My God. Who sees who I love. they just come here why am I drawing a blank help me they live in Austin
Starting point is 00:22:12 I literally am drawn a blank oh Katie thank you who I adore and Zach I love them she's a traveling I've met so many of them that are traveling nurses my clients couple of my clients do it she said I won't be here for three months okay every time she comes back I don't know where she goes but they can't do hair she goes help
Starting point is 00:22:32 God you always give me a headache Okay, so, all right, so enough of your job. You've got it. I was just curious, I know we got off track. I want to know if they choose another, if they do switch it up, who would you want to see as a bachelor? You've got any ideas on that? That's actually a great question.
Starting point is 00:22:50 I hadn't thought about that even a little bit. Would you like to be one? Yeah, well, that was my first thought just now. And you know what? And he wants a, and he wants a Huger and I'm available. Yeah, there we go. There we go. A, B, C, tune in.
Starting point is 00:23:05 Aaron, we'll just play peckle ball. It'll be fine. Yeah, there we go. Other people would love it. I don't know. What do you guys think? Like, maybe, what are your ideas? And I'll probably recognize the name and then say yes or not.
Starting point is 00:23:17 What about that? Who would you think? For the young guys? Yeah, I always think golden. So let me just say for young guys, here's the thing. I think with having Taylor on now, I think it sets a press, that they want to have, you know, some big name Bachelor. Outside of Bachelor nation.
Starting point is 00:23:41 I mean, I don't know. I'm not a producer or a director. I have no vote, no say. But I think that suggests that they might do that because social, again, you know, we're old enough to be your mother. I have kids your age. And so to Susan. So here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:23:56 We know what social media is and the impact it has. And every year, it just gets bigger and bigger. So why not go? If I were a director, I'd be saying, why not? Why not go for a big name? Because those are the people that are going to tune in. Those are the people with the followers. That's what I'd be doing.
Starting point is 00:24:16 As we head into 2026, it's safe to say that 2025 was a year like no other. So much news, so much disruption. And yes, so much division. That's why we're wrapping up this season of next question with a look back. at everything that's happened. Things are coming at us with such a velocity. We thought it was important to take a moment, connect the dots, and explore what it all means. We're summing up the first year of Trump's second term with David Graham on Project
Starting point is 00:24:47 2025 and how many of the goals have been implemented. Richard Haas on foreign policy and the changing world order, Jessica Valenti on reproductive rights and the terrifying consequences of abortion bans. Sheena Brown on the year's scandals here and across the pond. The president has upended everything from pardons to the press, so we're covering it all. Listen to next question with me, Katie Couric on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You know the shade is always shady. It's right here.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Season six of the podcast Reasonably Shady with Jazele Bryan and Robin Dixon is here dropping every Monday as two. of the founding members of the Real Housewives Potomac were giving you all the laughs, drama, and reality news you can handle. And you know we don't hold back. So come be reasonable or shady with us each and every Monday.
Starting point is 00:25:46 I was going through a walk in my neighborhood. Out of the blue, I see this huge sign next to somebody's house. Okay. The sign says, my neighbor is a Karen. Oh, what? No way!
Starting point is 00:26:05 I died laughing. I'm like, I have to know... You are lying. It's humongous, y'all. They had some time on their hands. Listen to reasonably shady from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. The church had dwindled almost to nothing. And God said, this is your assignment.

Starting point is 00:29:56 What are you think of hat fishing? No, I have like, I mean, I have a hair. Oh, look at your, take off your hat. That's good. I know what the hat makes you. You can leave it on. So, okay, you did not watch. Is there anybody that you're really close to in Bachelor Nation that you do talk to all the time?
Starting point is 00:30:11 Um, I talk to Logan a lot. I remember Logan. I remember Logan's a stat. Logan's the best. The man the mid. Is he single still? I believe so. Yes.
Starting point is 00:30:24 Guys, you know, we don't keep that up to date. So maybe not. Okay. Aaron, I'm serious. I had we're joking around you're a handsome devil very are you you are you ready to find are you ready to settle down are you looking for the woman I I definitely am for sure I'm ready and single ready for a salty brinkle okay but I'm just going to say to you because now we're in a therapy session you're 31 you are deadly handsome I mean you really are you're six whatever you said
Starting point is 00:30:54 six four you're gainfully employed you well I thought he said six three or six four but I didn't want to cut off an inch because inches matter you you're single you're handsome you're gainfully employed again I'm not getting into your dating life but I'm very curious because I would think that you would be overrun with dates um you know what I so I I've been playing it low key that's what he said yeah well does that mean you're not just say I'm dating but I want to talk about it. I'm not really, I'm just, I'm open to it, but I'm like easing my way in, like, easing in, you know?
Starting point is 00:31:34 So are you waiting for the woman to find you? I don't, that makes me sound like a, like a little scared beta male and that's not me, you know. Do you go out like a lot? Do you socialize, see, that's, that's, that's why, yeah, but I'm not a hermit either, you know. I've been known to, to go to a bar and a little sauce gets me loose. Everyone knows. So, you know, I'll talk to. When you have a little sauce, you start dancing.
Starting point is 00:32:01 I think, I think, Susan, I think this guy, here's what I think, Aaron, I think you are a little nervous. But I think if someone took the time and came up to you in a coffee shop, she'd be the luckiest girl in the world. Oh, that's really, really sweet. Thanks, Kathy. I really appreciate that. Do you feel like you have like a rough attitude around? Yeah, I don't think he's rough. be approached no i mean like i guess because i'm like sometimes i can be a look a little intense
Starting point is 00:32:33 i would say when i'm walking around like this or something yeah me too but i'm not susan are you hearing this we give the look like we're intense but we're really not yeah yeah i think um yeah no i'm i'm a super easy going guy especially as i got older and older like i think my um brain is not as chaotic as it was when I was younger and I'm just like even more easy going like life goes on things happen I don't really trip about anything so what do you look forward to this year come in the new year that we're in uh you know I I just it's going to be the first new year of outside my my relationship lasts a lot it's almost three years so um you know I'm really just focusing on my just self-improvement I don't know there's not a whole lot I can say but there's like
Starting point is 00:33:22 certain things I'm trying to do and that are kind of coming into play that are going to be pretty big for me. So I think there's going to be some good stuff. Wait, tell us. What? No, no, no, I can't. I don't want to say too too much. But yeah, but I will say, well, tease here that I'm going to look really good, handsome and be funny in all of it. So that's good. Are you on his new show? No, I can't. No. Cut. All right. I could, hey, you know what? I can ask whatever I want. Seek and ye shall find. That is my motto.
Starting point is 00:33:53 But wait, I, we're there. I have a, yeah, if you need me, I'm available. Appreciate you ladies. Aaron, I have a question. It's totally random. Where did you swim in college? UCSD. And I was supposed to swim in a JC called Mount Sack.
Starting point is 00:34:07 So what was your stroke? I don't even why I'm asking this. It's just, I read about it. It was, I mean, if you're not going to tell me the show, if you're not going to tell me who you're dating, I'm going back into your past. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dig deep. No, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:21 In college, it was the breast show. after college was the deep stroke. The what? Wait a minute, my daughter won, my daughter's breaststroke. She won like big time awards for it. So I know that one. I have no idea what deep stroke. What is it?
Starting point is 00:34:36 It's just a sex joke. I don't know. It's a sex joke. Tune in now. I love this guy. You never heard of the deep choke? You've got to find a new man. I've heard of deep throat.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Go deep throat. Deep throat. Deep throat. Deep choke. No, no. Susan, get over it. Stop. All right. I love it. And wait, and the other thing I have to ask is, wait, wait, the other thing, Susan, I did my research on this guy. These are things I need to know, especially if he's going after an older woman. It's going to be me.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Where's the tattoo on your neck of your family? Where is it? It's like, it's right there. That's right there. But what is the tattoo? I couldn't find out. Just their initials. It's their initials. Who's initials? All, who? My two brothers, my mom and my dad. Are you the only one that has? it? Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Did they have the tattoo as well? No, just me. Did you do it when you were drunk? No, but I probably got drunk shortly after. Why did you do it? I just, you know, I just thought it was aesthetic. And I thought, you know, when I go like this. Are you close with your family?
Starting point is 00:35:40 Yeah. Does that the only one? Here's what it is. When somebody, he meets somebody, a girl in a bar and he can't remember his family names, he goes, hold on, give me a mirror. Oh, yeah, her name, and he looks at the initials, and that helps him figure out who is here. I spray a little cologne right here, and I go, what was it?
Starting point is 00:35:54 What was your name? She's like right here. And she likes the jaw line and the tattoo. It's kind of aesthetic. Like, I got a routine. That's your game, baby. Susan, wait, don't say anything, Aaron. I'm going to ask you, Susan, what do you think?
Starting point is 00:36:09 Because I would have guessed it now after meeting you, Aaron. What do you think his favorite holiday is, or at least what I read? What do you think his favorite holiday? If you get this wrong, Susan, you would have guessed that after you. I would have guessed it in a heartbeat. I love that. How would you guess it? How?
Starting point is 00:36:25 Well, I would give it away if she tells you. Yeah, I can't. What's his favorite holiday? Christmas. Taking everything you've seen and heard. Fourth of July. No, honey. Halloween.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Halloween. Are you kidding me? If you'd ask me, I would have said Halloween, no doubt. That's my son's baby. I'm a creepy guy. I'm a creepy guy. I will say fourth of July is a close second, though, because I love an excuse to start drinking in the morning.
Starting point is 00:36:52 I can't lie. drinking the a.m. 10.30. Wait, I have two more questions for you. One, and don't get this from wrong, Aaron. Do not screw this up. Who would you like to see be the next golden bachelorette? You guys, for sure. Without a doubt, Kathy and Susan, after this, I'll post on my Instagram.
Starting point is 00:37:14 I'll start campaigning for you guys. And then now in seriousness, what are you doing for Christmas? Just hang out family time. Just some, you know, wholesome, wholesome living. Are they local? Yeah, L.A. L.A. I'm in San Diego, so, yeah, it's a two-hour drive.
Starting point is 00:37:31 It's my favorite place, San Diego. It's like the best. But my buddy did tell me it is for college kids and retired people. So I feel like to get ahead. I've got to kind of get out of here a little bit. You can relive the same day over and over and over, you know. Did you grow up in San Diego? Groundhog day.
Starting point is 00:37:49 I grew up. I grew up. in um city of walnut it's like next to chino hill is diamond bar uh la area uh moved out here for college and just stayed because it's just like it's a bass but yeah it's just like you know all your friends look close by like i was in pacific beach so it was kind of like a walkable vibe what beach is right there Pacific beach yeah yeah it's like the beaches right there the bars everywhere you know you just know everyone i don't about you susan but i'm hearing a lot about bars yes he likes to start her anyways i like to drink some cars do you i'm a terrible drinker
Starting point is 00:38:28 terrible oh do i cook yeah yeah i started cooking because you would start i wanted i wanted someone to cook for me and the best way to get something to cook for you is cooking for them and i started really liking it what's your best dish i would just say like a steak no i you know what i do is I now I go on like social media like TikTok or Instagram Reels or something. I see like some crazy like dish that looks so good. Do you try it? Yeah, I try because it's like where would I buy that? I can never buy it.
Starting point is 00:39:02 So I have to make it. And so I'll make it. And I'm like, holy crap, this is the best thing ever. I'm a fantastic cook. I'm I really good at everything. And I look at myself in the mirror and I don't blink. And the answer is yes. Yes, of course, darling.
Starting point is 00:39:15 So yeah, anyways, I look to cook. Do you ever have bad days that the mirror does it? This is a bad day. Today is a bad day. No, you're talking with us. I'm like, oh, this is the best part of a bad day because before this had the scarlet fever, I was in bed fighting out for the grim ripers. That sucks.
Starting point is 00:39:34 I would say, what was your major in college? International business. It was like an econ before. Switch it up. Should have been bouncer. Or how about a tattoo? A dancer. I could see you.
Starting point is 00:39:46 You could get it for free. Tattoo artist. You would have to go to the gym. Okay. Yeah, I would. I would have to stop eating the 2.5 pound weights, which by the way, that's why no one can find them because I eat them. You eat them? That's what I mean.
Starting point is 00:39:59 And yet eight pounds is heavy for me. And yet he has beautiful white teeth. Oh, he's gorgeous. He's gorgeous. I mean, I deadlift 50 pound kettlebells. There we go. She's going to show off those push-ups. I can do them off the bureau, but I can't do them off the floor.
Starting point is 00:40:15 No, I used to, I used to power lift. right after swimming and it's just like I got I got I was able to lift really heavy actually but I got you just kind of get over it because it's like it's tough on the joints you know it's like hey but listen paradise I was jacked yeah but Aaron let me just tell you here's my PSA for you for today when you get to be a certain age and Susan and I are there it becomes about protecting your bones and your muscle and your balance so don't give up weightlifting I'm telling you it's important yeah I well I when I say I gave up it was It was kind of a joke, but it was like, I don't lift every day anymore.
Starting point is 00:40:51 It's like a few times-building, right. Yeah, and like, I'm still, like, I was 200 and like 30 pounds for, for like years. Well, that's not a lot for your height. Well, it's a lot because I'm playing pickleball and moving so much, so my, like, knees and stuff. It just feel, it just my body didn't want to be that happy. So I dropped down like 210 and 210, and it feels really good. So. 20 pounds.
Starting point is 00:41:15 How did you do that? just you know i started i started or i started lifting um just a few times a month or like once a week but but i play pickleball three four hours every day like so do you play with you are you playing a league um no i'm a member of a few clubs i just like i'm like i play with a lot of people so okay susan i'm here to tell you this guy he's handsome he's articulate he's got great smile, and he plays pickleball and he goes out to bars. This guy's got women
Starting point is 00:41:52 up and down each arm. He's just BSing us today. Am I right? Can you tell them? I can sit here and talk to you all day long. I agree. I could talk to you guys soon. This is probably the best podcast they've ever recorded. Wait, excuse me, Susan.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Would you repeat that, Aaron, because we want to use that for a cut. Go ahead. Say that again. What was it again? About the best podcast? I said, I could talk to you all day long. And you said, yeah, I could talk to you guys too. I mean, this conversation's amazing. I feel like this is the best podcast they've ever recorded.
Starting point is 00:42:27 You know what? Because we're real and we ask real questions. No bullshit. You know, it is. I mean, listen, we got a rap here in a minute or two, but do you have a father or an uncle who's available? I don't. I wish I did because that would be great, but I just simply don't.
