Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour. I'm Charity. And I'm Rachel.
Starting point is 00:02:47 And today we have a very special guest, someone who basically is the reason I got through Paradise Wells. Thank you for being on Happy Hour today. Yeah. How is there a show about The Bachelor? called Happy Hour that isn't hosted by the guy who is the main host of Happy Hour in Paradise. I don't understand it. I don't either. And it's so funny when people always ask, like, does Wells actually like serve the drinks?
Starting point is 00:03:14 Yes, he does. And he serves an amazing drink. That's a hot take. I feel like I get burned every. No, you pour very strong, which is exactly what I need. Listen, I see. all, right? Like, I am the 10,000 foot view. And when I see someone that really needs, you know, a country club poor, I do the Lord's work. Which is me every single time. Rachel needed
Starting point is 00:03:45 a lot of those country club doors. We got to do it together. I was the most frequent patron at your bar. I think I stayed there the whole time. Rachel, what was your go to? Champagne. I would get every single time. More champagne, more champagne. And Wells knew exactly my favorite cup. We got through that together. Yeah. I don't think I could have done it without you.
Starting point is 00:04:08 I do love the fact that you say that I'm a great bartender and your drink is champagne. Like I didn't have to mix anything. Literally. I was like that's the easiest. The Towers can be sometimes two drinks an hour. This small report, Wells made sure I was taking care of. Yeah. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:04:24 An amazing bartender. And Wells, you've kind of been all over the place. you have done a food network show. You are doing a new golfing show. Tell us about it. Yeah, so food network this past, like Christmas time. I did a show called Sweet Empire where I hosted like a baking competition, like hyper realistic, kind of like a is it cake type of a thing.
Starting point is 00:04:47 I got to film it in Toronto and it was awesome. I always make the joke that like I have the greatest job in the world where I just go to quote unquote paradise and make drinks and like. watch a bunch of idiots make out in front of me. But I got to say, if you can get into the food network hosting game, it is money. Because it's like walk out, hit a mark, say a funny thing, and then eat. And that's it. Like, that's the job.
Starting point is 00:05:13 That's a dream. It is truly the best thing in the world. And then only topped by the other show that I'm doing right now on the golf channel, which is called the Vanity Index podcast that I started with my buddy Chad, who did the full swing golf show on Netflix, where we just get to talk about golf and have like giant celebrities on that we don't want to talk about. Like we had Andy Garcia, who's like, he's in Landman and like,
Starting point is 00:05:38 the Godfather. And we were like, we're not talking about Landman. We want to talk about golf. And it's been so much fun. So I'm sure that you guys have a lot of golf listeners here. If you love golf, please go watch the Golf channel on Wednesday mornings. Well, as you're kind of in your Jesse, Palmer era like the food network. A little bit. Are you going to be hosting The Bachelor next? Like I see the trajectory for you.
Starting point is 00:06:02 No, I think Jesse's got that one on down pat. I just like being a part of paradise. I hope that continues on because that's a really fun show to get to go do. And like, let's be honest, I don't know if, you know, there was a there was a moment in time when everyone thought I was going to be the host of that show, right? Like in between Jesse and Chris and everyone's trying to figure it out. I don't know if anyone takes me serious enough to host that show. Like, I think I'm too, like, walk-a-walk-waka funny guy. And I don't know if people would, like, be like, I don't know if I can take him so serious to host this show, you know? I feel like I don't know that Jesse's kind of unserious. Yeah. And I also would argue that, like, I feel like for Paradise, like, your personality is, like, perfect for that.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Like, obviously maybe leave, like, the main shows to Jesse. But, like, if you were to take over Paradise as hosting, I feel like that's so fitting. I would love that. You know, I mean, Paradise kind of is just a little chaotic. Yeah, but I don't know if you could host it and also, I would still want to bartend. Like, I get so much more joy. Like, that's a weird thing to say. Like, of course, I would love to be the host of the show.
Starting point is 00:07:08 But like, for sure. Like, it's so much different. And it's, it's hard to explain. But, like, the stakes for me are so much greater than they are for Jesse in that place. because I'm like entrenched with you guys. Like I'm a part of the landscape of like what's happening. And I'm giving my advice and trying to guide everyone as best as I can where it's like, you need a host that comes in and it's like, okay, today we're doing this.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Now go do that. And then there's the fallout comes to me. And it's like, oh my God, what's going on? It really does come to you. Yeah. So for me like when for every reason, the state. are much higher for me because I get really invested in these relationships and I like I really love these stories and I think it's important for like the host to kind of be separated from that.
Starting point is 00:08:01 So yeah, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I actually love doing that job. I want to ask what was it like this season? It seemed so much different watching it having been there before. What was it like hosting with Hannah? What did you think about the change? I thought we did a lot of things great and I thought there were some things that we left. from the old show that I wished stuck around. And then I kind of started seeing it bleed back in. You know, like, I think that I really missed the silly intros. We like went away from that.
Starting point is 00:08:37 And what I love about Paradise in comparison to the other two shows or other four shows, whatever, is that it starts out a comedy. So it's known from the jump that like this is a fun time, you know, like obviously it's going to be drama and there's going to be fireworks and there's going to be passion and everything. But like at the root of it is this this is a fun experience. It's a it's a singles retreat. We just film the entire. No, basically. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:07 And so we went away from that. And then we went away from the song. Those two things I was like, we can't do. We don't mess with that. I loved. I was really, I was really trepidious. about the challenges or the... I was going to ask.
Starting point is 00:09:23 Yeah, how I feel about the exercises. And I didn't love the idea, I'll be honest with you, I didn't love the idea of money being involved. I thought that, you know, the whole show is lynch pinned around this one cliche of like being there for the right reasons. And for me, like money is like the one thing that like makes it kind of not there for the right reasons. But I will admit when I'm wrong and I was 100% wrong, those exercises.
Starting point is 00:09:49 helped it made the couples that were going to last bond really, really well. Which like, Rachel, you remember, like, one of the big problems that we always had in Paradise in years past was like at the end we'd bring in people, but like, we just always felt bad for them because everyone else was like already in these relationships. And it was like they didn't really get a fair shake or like a really good opportunity. Whereas like we kind of stopped bringing people in and we started doing these exercises. and you could really see who was going to work well outside of the show. And then the money thing, like, I don't,
Starting point is 00:10:27 I wasn't privy to this information, but my thought was, you know, the entire season was about these exercises. And like, if you, you know, like, can you prove to us that, like, you really are, like, this really strong couple? And, you know, at the end, people didn't choose money. They chose love.
Starting point is 00:10:47 which I thought was awesome and beautiful. And then they still didn't getting money. But like my thought was, I wonder if someone had chosen money, then that would have been the last exercise and test. And they would have failed and had to leave with nothing. I don't know if that was true because it never came to fruition. But that was my thought was like,
Starting point is 00:11:09 you would not hear for the right reasons. And now you got to go. And I would have liked to see what happened just in terms of loving TV. I think that would have been insane. I don't think anyone would have done it. Like, do you think, especially this last cast? Like, choose money besides maybe like the friendship couples. I think that, oh God, what was this name?
Starting point is 00:11:32 Like, was it any of the Golden's? No, no, well, the Golden's might have done it. Kathy might have done it just because she's like, give me that money. Right? She was like, hello? Yeah, I don't know. Listen, has it been done before for sure? or like, I don't know if you're a fan of the show, the challenge, but like Johnny Bananas did that.
Starting point is 00:11:51 He like got to the end of the show and it was like, you can split it with your partner or you can take it all and he took it all. And it was fantastic television. Now, was he labeled like the biggest asshole ever after that? Absolutely. But like I thought there was a world in which that could happen. That's so interesting. I want to ask too, before we get into, I mean, we have so many more questions for you. Were there any couples that surprised you or couples that you thought could be good together that maybe never got together? Um, I wish that Sam had stuck around longer. What I love about Paradise is it is a redemption story for everyone, right?
Starting point is 00:12:34 Like generally, if you were like the bad guy, you get to go to Paradise and then you, like, it's no fun if like your character arc is always like you're a piece of garbage, right? Like that doesn't make any sense. So for for Sam, I was like, you know, he got so much heat, right? For like what happened. But like he wasn't wrong, right? Like he might not have been right, but he wasn't wrong about what he was saying. That he wished Jen was Maria. No.
Starting point is 00:13:01 That's saying that Devin was a. Oh, yeah. A jagoff. I thought he said he wished Jen was Maria. So there were two things that were happening. What I'm talking about is. him calling out Devin, which is 100% right about. Correct, correct, correct.
Starting point is 00:13:19 So I kind of wanted, I wish that he, that he had stayed longer. But then he ended up finding love and, you know, I'm annoyed because I'm like, Sam, we could have done this on the show, you know? Right. I was like, this entire couple could have played out. And they could have been one at the end, truly. Yeah. And if I could have changed some things, I wish Susie got to.
Starting point is 00:13:43 stick around longer. Me too. I love Susie. Every time, I'm like, Susie gets the worst hand every single time and I feel so bad for her. Right. I know. And I do think that Justin, he was a, he was coming from a good place. I really, I really, I really wish that I had gotten 10 minutes with him before that rose ceremony.
Starting point is 00:14:07 I really wish I had, because I would have been like, you can't do this. Like, it's, don't do it. Because if she doesn't say, she doesn't take your rose, you're going to kill off three big stars in one fell suit, which is what happened. That was crazy. Were you there when that happened? I mean, no, I was at the, I was at the bar obviously that night. And I knew that the thought of he was thinking about that. But, you know, this one was this.
Starting point is 00:14:37 A lot of people might disagree with this. but like this season was so much more hands off than it has been in the past. In the past, I've been like, please go get him and let me tell him what I think. Right. You know, whereas this one, it was just like, if you wanted to come talk to me, you came and talk to me. And I wish that that had gone a little bit different. Now, did it make for like an insanely fantastic episode three? Sure.
Starting point is 00:15:03 But I also kind of wish fireworks between them happened in episode seven, but you can't get. everything you want in this life. Yeah. Were there any couples like that are still together that are surprising to you? So we have like Andrew and Alex, um, Jess and Spencer. Who am I missing? No more Catendale. With that. God, that one was a bit. I can't believe that one didn't work. I do. First of all, let me just say, I love Kat. Like we love her. I want her on my TV screen always. No, she's great TV. She's phenomenal. She's beautiful. She's like built for freaking paradise, but also he keeps going to these places that is full of the one thing that she's terrified of, which is bugs.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Yes. And it's, she thinks that like just like walking out of the door is fear. She thinks she's on Fear Factor every single day, which just makes for fantastic television. I will say this. You know, you guys both know that so much good stuff. lands on the cutting room floor of seasons. And, you know, that is also very true for paradise. The, the, the Alex of it all, like, their, her relationship was, was so cute and like, they
Starting point is 00:16:31 didn't show a whole lot of it. I mean, we got so much of, like, the Jess relationship. but I do wish we'd gotten more of of Alex and what's his name? Andrew. And Andrew. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Sorry, Andrew. I'm having a bad. He's only been in Paradise twice. I know. I've done eight seasons. It's like a thousand people I have to remember. Everyone blend. It's so true.
Starting point is 00:17:02 IHart Radio is throwing it back. To the days of huge hits and unforgettable. A nonstop stream of the biggest and best. Drake, Rihanna, Beyonce, Katie Gaga, the weekend. And more. All your decade defining favorites all in one place. Hi, it's Katie Perry. Hey, it's Bruno Mars.

If you can control the behavior of anybody around you, what kind of life would you have? Can you hypnotically persuade someone? to buy a car? When you look at your car, you're going to become overwhelmed with such good feelings.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Can you hypnotize someone into sleeping with you? I gave her some suggestions to be sexually aroused. Can you get someone to join your cult? NLP was used on me to access my subconscious. NLP, aka neurolinguistic programming, is a blend of hypnosis, linguistics, and psychology. Fans say it's like finally getting a user manual for your brain. It's about engineering consciousness. Mind games is the story of NLP.
Starting point is 00:18:12 It's crazy cast of disciples and the fake doctor who invented it at a new age commune and sold it to guys in suits. He stood trial for murder and got acquitted. The biggest mind game of all, NLP might actually work.
Starting point is 00:18:27 This is wild. Listen to Mind Games on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What do you do in the headlines don't explain what's happening inside of you? I'm Ben Higgins, and if you can hear me, is where culture meets the soul, a place for real conversation. Each episode, I sit down with people from all walks of life, celebrities, thinkers, and everyday folks,
Starting point is 00:18:55 and we go deeper than the polished story. We talk about what drives us, what shapes us, and what gives us hope. We get honest about the big stuff, identity when you don't recognize yourself anymore, loss that changes you purpose when success isn't enough, peace when your mind won't slow down, fake when it's complicated. Some guests have answers. Most are still figuring it out. If you've ever felt like there has to be more to the story,
Starting point is 00:19:23 this show is for you. Listen to if you can hear me on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, a story gripped the UK, evoking horror and disbelief. A nurse who should have been in charge of caring for tiny babies. is now the most prolific child killer in modern British history. Everyone thought they knew how it ended.
Starting point is 00:19:52 A verdict? A villain. A nurse named Lucy Letby. Lucy Letby has been found guilty. But what if we didn't get the whole story? The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapses. I'm Amanda Knox, and in the new podcast, doubt the case of Lucy Lettby, we follow the evidence and hear from the people that lived it, to ask what really happened when the world.
Starting point is 00:20:15 decided who Lucy Lettby was. No voicing of any skepticism or doubt. It'll cause so much harm at every single level of the British establishment of this is wrong. Listen to Doubt, the case of Lucy Lettby on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, this is Joe Winterstein, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast, where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life. And I just sat down with a mini driver.
Starting point is 00:20:47 The Irish traveler said when I was 16, you're going to have a terrible time with men. Actor, storyteller, and unapologetic Aquarian visionary. Aquarius is all about freedom-loving and different perspectives. And I find a lot of people with strong placements in Aquarius are misunderstood. A son and Venus in Aquarius in her seventh house spark her unconventional approach to partnership. He really has taught me to embrace people. sleeping in different rooms, on different houses and different places, but just an embracing
Starting point is 00:21:19 of the isness of it all. If you're navigating your own transformation or just want to chart side view into how a leading artist integrates astrology, creativity, and real life, this episode is a must listen. Listen to the Spirit Daughter podcast starting on February 24th on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcast. Wait, quickly, what are your thoughts too on, because I did forget. Jeremy and Bailey. Like they're still together. And that was a very big, I think, polarizing couple choice. That was the one couple that I could have seen them take the money and be like,
Starting point is 00:21:59 like, I could have seen Jeremy be like, okay, so here's the deal. For sure. I'm going to take the money and then I'll just split it with you after this. One thousand percent. Well, I would have liked to see a conversation with you and him like when the whole in the room, like him talking about what was happening. Like I was, I was begging for that. I was like, please bring in Wales now because I'm like you were the only one that also was like I feel like speaking and calling things out like accordingly. It's like I don't know what was happening with the dynamic of the cast but I'm like I feel like everyone was a little hesitant to really voice how they genuinely felt about the situation when it's like it's very clear and like granted we probably don't see
Starting point is 00:22:37 the full scope of everything as the audience but I'm like there's some there's some truth to this and we're not seeing it all. It was really weird. That whole thing was was, was, was very, very odd to me because it was so very obvious to me. And it was also very obvious to Hannah. She wasn't as vocal about it. I think an interview was, or let's be honest, like my interview, I was just like over the top and was like, what's going? Like, this is crazy. No, but it's perfect. But like, I remember Andrew and Alex came up to me because they were like really close with Jeremy. And they came up to me and they were like, do you? do you think this is going to look bad?
Starting point is 00:23:18 And I was like, it's not going to look good. I'll tell you that. Like it, from the outside looking in, it looks like you guys don't give a shit about Bailey's feelings. Like, that's what it looks like to me.
Starting point is 00:23:30 And like in this world of like being a girl's girl and everything, like I think that falls more on you. Like I couldn't understand. Andrew like wanting to like back his boy. But for the girls, I was just like, I don't get this. I think this is going to be a bad look.
Starting point is 00:23:44 But yeah, like it was, that was, Like of all the wild things that have happened in Paradise, that one to me, I was just like, I remember talking to a producer being like, put me an interview right now. I have to talk about this. This is crazy. It was crazy.
Starting point is 00:23:58 And it was just like crazy because at the time, too, we were getting all these interviews from Bailey. And everyone wanted to know like, oh my gosh, what were you thinking in this moment? But they were together. So it felt like she's always kind of like held back how she felt in that moment. So Wells, craziness, absolutely a great season. excited to see the next one if they implement any of these changes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:20 I know. And you can't do the same thing that we did before, right? Because people kind of know what the playbook is. So then it's going to be a thing of you're probably always
Starting point is 00:24:29 going to have to be tinkering with the idea of it. Mm-hmm. But I tell you what, man. You know, I was also very nervous about like what the goldens were going to be like. One, because like, Rachel,
Starting point is 00:24:43 you've done that season. And like, it's long hours. It's freaking hot. Like, it's not for the faint of heart. And I was like, man, I just don't want some golden to, like, die on me out here. But I was so wrong about that because they had so much more energy than the youngs did. Yes. When they came in, because it was like a, it was, so when they came in, it was the day after Susie and Justin's debacle.
Starting point is 00:25:10 And it was like the red wedding, like afterwards, everyone was just like, in the worst mood ever. And I'm like, I remember I had to come to work early because they were like, we need you to get them some, we need to like inject some life into this thing. Yes. And so I was like, we're doing shots, everyone. Like, let's go.
Starting point is 00:25:29 And then I remember being like, guys, you guys are so boring. We're making a TV show and you guys are all sad. Like, come on, like, let's go. And then the Goldens came in and they were like the life of the party. So I would love them to do just a Golden's Paradise. I think that would be so fun. I think they should separate. I'm so firm on this decision.
Starting point is 00:25:49 It was not fair that there were six boys and six girls. Yeah. They didn't get a fair shake of it. I pitched this before. And so, you know, Rob Mills, if you're listening, I have said this so many times before, but like can we do a paradise for the Goldens, but it needs to be like in Scottsdale or like Palm Springs
Starting point is 00:26:10 and like everyone shows up to rose ceremonies in golf carts. and like it's shuffleboard and like dinner happens at four like go through all the old people tropes it would be so funny I would love you and Kathy host it yeah no no Kathy has to be no but Kathy has to be in it like what do you mean yeah she can't host it Kathy has she is one of the main stars if not the star he is like oh my gosh so good I love that should we get into some Traders? I think so because Wells, I hate to be a little messy here, but I have to a little bit. You obviously have been on traders. And with The Bachelor Road, I feel like there's some conversations and things happening a little bit surrounding Colton. And I'm curious to know
Starting point is 00:27:04 your thoughts on it. What do you feel like is going to happen at the reunion? Are you all, like, caught up? Obviously, I'm assuming yes. Yes. I do a podcast about traders. called by Order of the Faithfuls that I do with Dolores Catania who won the season I was on season three and Tamara Judge who was on season two. So I have to talk about traders all the time. So if you love traders, go listen to that podcast. But yeah, Colton, it's not going great, I think. I think that's a fair way of putting it.
Starting point is 00:27:36 I've heard rumors of like what happened at the reunion. I was about to say Lisa Rina is like, She's going. She's going in on him. And, yeah, like, listen, my thought is this with Colton, right? Like, so he kind of like left public eye. He kind of, he did like one dating show, I think, with Caitlin, but I don't know if anyone really watched that. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:28:06 To me, he kind of like left the public, right? But like he did have this, this turmoil with the girl he left the show with. and, you know, it got really messy. And I think if he wants to be in the public eye, he's going to have to go through this. Like he has to answer for some of these things. He has to atone for a lot of this stuff. And I think that, like, I'm sure for him right now,
Starting point is 00:28:33 walking through this is very, very difficult. But I think looking back, he'll probably think it was a blessing because it allows him to finally like kind of wash himself clean of like all that stuff that happened in the past. It's funny though because traitors for me I always thought it was a place where like villains go to be discovered as like not that bad. Case in point on my season.
Starting point is 00:29:01 Dandoval was there. Like maybe the most hated person in the world. He was hilarious. And like I think he walked out of there. When you guys were sick, I still think about that scene. Yeah. And he was just fully like sweating the entire time like going always is the temperature like 90 degrees like what's going on. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:26 So but like he walked out of that I think looking so much better. Yeah. And so I just assumed. He still sucks though. For sure. Yeah. It doesn't erase everything. No, but I do think that like he had more of like a redemptive arc, which is kind of what I thought would have.
Starting point is 00:29:43 with Colton, but it's gone the other way. So I don't know. I'm interested to see how, I'm interested to see how this reunion goes. Like we had Michael Rapapour on the show. He was like, I don't want to go to the reunion. And I was like, you got to go. One, because I just want to see you on TV. But like, you got to talk about all of this stuff. You have to probably apologize to Colton for what he said. Like, there are things I think you need to go do. So I'm excited about that. Like Ron Funches is, I think he's going to dismantle. some people on that panel in the reunion because Ron was right. Ron was wronged.
Starting point is 00:30:21 And Ron is a stand-up comedian. Like he does roasts and talks shit for a living. A living. And now he's no longer in the castle. He's going to go in there. And I think he's going to eviscerate everyone. And I'm very excited for it. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:30:39 I'm curious what your thoughts are because do you think this season would have panned out differently if this all didn't come to light about colon. It feels like they are like maybe editing it. Like now that this information is out. I don't know. I got to think that that they knew that this was a possibility. Right. Do you think they knew though?
Starting point is 00:31:03 He had that Netflix special and no one said anything. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know if they're editing it, you know, now because of, of everything. He's also off the show now. So like it doesn't. Exactly. matter. I think it'll be really telling to see what happens in this reunion.
Starting point is 00:31:20 I feel like, and maybe I'm wrong for saying this, but I think that what just like people ultimately want to see, which is why like well saying like it's a good thing that he's going through this and like on the flip side of it, obviously he'll probably be a lot more grateful that all this happened the way it did. It doesn't mean that it's not hard. But I think like with Colton, there's like a level of him that almost wants to act like it never happened or just kind of like keep it where it is and like the big thing that people just ultimately want to see is like accountability and then also less of like a victim complex of like woe is me like I also was going through these things like two things can exist but like that still does not you know
Starting point is 00:31:59 entitle you to like you know do what happened especially with you know his situation with his final one and so yeah I don't know I I feel like that's just what people want to see and the more that it's getting pushed off is what's making this hole a lot deeper in my opinion. I agree. I hope that what he ends up doing, you know, at this reunion is, is really like a toning for everything. But I wanted to ask you guys, like, I'm a guy. So I look at it differently, but I'm sure women have a very, very different take of this. Like what is, like, can he ever like look good in your eyes again? Or is it scorched? earth for you guys um for me again like my my whole thing is like taking accountability when you own
Starting point is 00:32:52 your wrongs i'm like okay like i'm not someone who does not extend grace to people like i am all for that and i do think that people are deserving of second chances but it's like your second chance just doesn't come essentially free like there is i don't want to say a price that you have to pay but it's just simply taking accountability and i don't feel like you know i was reading a thing he did an interview and like I saw where he like basically said don't ask me any questions like this conversation is off limits and in my head I'm like that's a part of your story of like how you are where you are at right now how you got to where you're at like the life that was before and I think that there is a full picture of okay yeah what I did there was not good and it's like not who I am
Starting point is 00:33:34 now but to act like oh you did nothing wrong like that that part is where I'm like I have a problem agreeing with. And in my head, I can't really like essentially forgive until that part happens. But I do understand that there's a lot of things and it's a very complex situation. But I'm just not fond of people acting and really screaming and pulling the victim card. So that's just how I feel, Rachel, I don't know. No, I mean, I have so many thoughts on it. I mean, I think number one, this is so hard because Cassie has fully moved on. She's married. Like, and now this is all coming back to life. And like Charity said, of course, he does need to atone for. all this, but at this point, any atonement that comes is going to be because he needs to, like,
Starting point is 00:34:15 repair his image. Like, if we didn't get this in the Netflix special where he was sitting down talking about his life and being like, I did this, like, I was going through something. It's like, okay, he was mentally in a really bad space. But now it just feels like he's like, all right, I've got away with so much that it's like, no one cares anymore. And it really feels like Demi is the one that, Demi from his season is the one who kind of brought this all to light.
Starting point is 00:34:38 and she's like, no, you will pay for what happened and now she kind of dies. She scares me. I love her. She brought the house down. She started this. Yeah, yeah. She was so fun to do the show with,
Starting point is 00:34:53 but like, do not be on the wrong side of Demi. Truly. Which I didn't even know this side of her existed. Like I always know she was like fun and spunky, but I was like, oh, period. I said the world well now. Yeah. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:35:10 I don't know. It just to me feels like at this point, you can apologize, but if, like, Charity said, you're saying in interviews, don't bring it up, then you're not really sorry for it. Unless there's a legal reason they can't talk about it, which I don't know. Right. And that's, yeah, we don't know, but. Can you hypnotically persuade someone to buy a car? When you look at your car, you're going to become overwhelmed with such good feelings. Can you hypnotize someone into sleeping with you? I gave her some suggestions to be sexually aroused.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Can you get someone to join your cult? NLP was used on me to access my subconscious. NLP, aka neuro-linguistic programming, is a blend of hypnosis, linguistics, and psychology. Fans say it's like finally getting a user manual for your brain. It's about engineering consciousness. Mind games is the story of NLP. It's crazy cast of disciples, and the fourth

Starting point is 00:37:21 thinkers, and everyday folks, and we go deeper than the polished story. We talk about what drives us, what shapes us, and what gives us hope. We get honest about the big stuff, identity when you don't recognize yourself anymore, loss that changes you purpose when success isn't enough, peace when your mind won't slow down, faith when it's complicated. Some guests have answers. Most Sirs still figure it out. If you've ever felt like there has to be more to the story, this show is for you. Listen to if you can hear me on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, a story gripped the UK, evoking horror and disbelief.
Starting point is 00:38:08 The nurse who should have been in charge of caring for tiny babies is now the most prolific child killer in modern British history. Everyone thought they knew how it ended. A verdict, a villain, a nurse named Lucy Letby. Lucy Letby has been found guilty. But what if we didn't get the whole story? The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapses. I'm Amanda Knox, and in the new podcast, doubt the case of Lucy Lettby,
Starting point is 00:38:36 we follow the evidence and hear from the people that lived it, to ask what really happened when the world decided who Lucy Lettby was. No voicing. of any skepticism or doubt. It'll cause so much harm at every single level of the British establishment of this is wrong. Listen to Doubt, the case of Lucy Letby
Starting point is 00:38:56 on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, this is Joe Winterstein, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast, where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life. And I just sat down with a mini driver.
Starting point is 00:39:14 The Irish traveler said when I was 16, going to have a terrible time with men. Actor, storyteller, and unapologetic Aquarian visionary. Aquarius is all about freedom-loving and different perspectives, and I find a lot of people with strong placements in Aquarius are misunderstood. A son and Venus and Aquarius in her seventh house spark her unconventional approach to partnership. He really has taught me to embrace people sleeping in different rooms, on different houses, in different places, but just an embracing of the isness of it all.
Starting point is 00:39:48 If you're navigating your own transformation or just want to chart side view into how a leading artist integrates astrology, creativity, and real life, this episode is a must listen. Listen to the Spirit Daughter podcast, starting on February 24th
Starting point is 00:40:04 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcast. Very complex situation. It's going to be juicy. I mean, we can't talk about traders without talking about Rob, though. I was going to ask your thoughts on Rob. I mean, yeah, spill. Dare I say the best trader that has ever been.
Starting point is 00:40:26 No, his play game is insane. He is so good. Like, he's so chill and he's got everyone dignitized, which is great. Everyone, including Rachel. Oh, my God. I get it. Like, look at him. I mean, but like he's playing such a good game.
Starting point is 00:40:49 and, you know, I think he's going to get Eric killed. Oh, Eric already episode, the first one, he was like showing signs that he had the cracks. No, 100%. I feel like Johnny should have been picked. Yeah. Okay. So here's, I don't know if he's going to do this, but I was thinking about this and I was talking about this on my other show that like, he's, he is killing so many traitors, right?
Starting point is 00:41:17 Like he is really helping traders get ousted and then just keeping him in the turret. So he's now having to bring in people and then he's getting them killed. Like he's going to get Eric killed. At some point, someone's going to come in and be like, but you voted for Lisa, but you voted for Candace, but you voted for Eric. And he can always say because they have no idea. I was recruited yesterday. And if he does that, then it clears him from being someone that the other trader might be like suspicious of.
Starting point is 00:41:53 He'd be like, I just got recruited. And if he does that, which will be genius because it's not true. And he continues this thing of like, I'm just going to keep moving the chess pieces around and getting every trader out and just keeping me in the turret. I don't know. Like, yeah, like I said, dare I say, the best trader we've ever had. such a funny stark contrast between season three and season four because on my season, what ended up getting me banished was I said, the traders are dumb.
Starting point is 00:42:23 That was a dumb move. And people took like an exception to that. But I was right. Like they banished Dorinda or they killed Durinda, which was just like for TV sake, don't do that. But we were all going to banish her the next day. And I was like, that's dumb because we were going to do the work for them. go get someone else out that like is more of a threat to you and someone that we're probably all going to vote for anyway.
Starting point is 00:42:49 So I was like, you guys are dumb. And then they ended up being so dumb. Like I feel like the traders, my season were like, I love them all and they're all friends of mine, but like insanely stupid, like making bad moves. Whereas this season I'm like, oh my God, this Rob guy is playing it so well. I think their decision to make a 20-year-old man,
Starting point is 00:43:13 a traitor, like they are the best gaslighters ever. Like, I'm like, this was the best move. No one can look into your eyes and lie like a 20 year old man. Yeah, especially one that looks like that too. No, exactly. I was like, and with his looks, he knows what he's doing. Like, he knows. Do you think Wells that, I mean, I've seen some people talking online that maybe his
Starting point is 00:43:34 game is getting a little bit messy now, though, with like so many people knowing about the dagger. He seems like he's just a little overconfident at this point. Yeah, like in the last episode where he's like lounging in the billiards room and Eric's like, how is he doing this? He's got his arms like over his head and he's like lounging with his tank top on. He might be a little too comfortable. Listen, but we're getting down to the nitty gritty of it all where it's it has to get messy, right? And so he needs to continue to play a smart game, keep his alliances.
Starting point is 00:44:13 really, really tight. And I think he needs to continue to be picking faithfuls to come into the turret that he can easily vote off. And I think, I don't know what happens. I think he's going to win it. I think that. I do, too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:34 I think that like more, it would be like, Mora and more on being like, like, there's no way that Rob's a traitor. and like won't and we'll think he's faithful and be wrong. Yeah. And I think Natalie the same way. They're like in his pocket to a point that like I think he's just so confident. He set it up that way. So listen.
Starting point is 00:44:56 What are your thoughts on there being two housewife traders? I loved it. You know, it's always a theory at least on my season and I know on a season past of like, well, there has to be a housewife in the turret. And so that's why housewives would always get kind of knocked off because it was one, they had so much power in numbers and that scares people because you can really move a roundtable that way. But also just like statistically speaking and also like if you're a, if you have somewhat of a producerial mind, it's like, well, it's they're like Bravo's flagship thing. This is a huge thing for peacock.
Starting point is 00:45:37 We want to make sure that those people get as much screen time as possible vis-vis there in the. the turret all the time. So that was always the thought of like there has to be a there has to be a housewife up there. And there never really was. But I mean there was but like not like is was this season with with Candice and Lisa both being up there. And I think that was great because there was all this precedent of like they're not, Alan is never choosing housewives to be up there really.
Starting point is 00:46:09 And then it was just like both all housewives and then like this snake wrangler that like no, nose. I was rooting for that. Like, am I supposed to be rooting for the traders this hard? Like, anytime they did something a little bit, like that they could get caught, like, no. Like, yeah. But that's a thing because they played like they did it so good. And obviously Rob's like kind of like the leader of that, it makes you want to root for them, which is crazy. Yeah. Yeah. So what do you think is going to happen though? Like I feel like Johnny and Tara are going to get ousted real quick. What were your thoughts on like the best friend like them talking about that. Do you think that was a good game move?
Starting point is 00:46:44 No. I think I think that they should have been honest from the jump because it's so hard. They're really long hours. It's hard to like keep up this like we're not really friends thing. And so I think that they should have just been
Starting point is 00:47:00 honest from the jump. And Rob said it in that interview like right before the end of the episode. He was like they've given me gold on a silver platter. Like I now can be like but you guys have been lying this entire time. That's something a traitor would do.
Starting point is 00:47:15 Boom. Also, I have two votes. So I'm going to kill you, you know? Yes, absolutely. I think what he's going to do, I think he's going to use his two votes on killing someone he thinks is a traitor or not thinks someone he knows is a traitor because then it gives him the like, well, if I'm a traitor, why would I get out another traitor? You know, like it gives him plausible deniability.
Starting point is 00:47:40 Uh-huh. Wait, that's such a good, such a good day. I can't wait to see how it all plays out. I know. This has been the best season thus far. It's been an insane season. So good. Before we, like, move on from traders,
Starting point is 00:47:52 is there anybody that you think or would want to see from Bachelor that you think would do really good on it? I'm like, my vote's Jimmy. Who? She would be great. Demi. Demi. But I don't know she would be a good trader.
Starting point is 00:48:07 She'd be really good faithful. You know, I think that Jesse would be good. Oh, really? Yeah, and I've said this before. Like, Jesse's, he's got that like, rain man quarterback mind where like, he's like kind of a genius.
Starting point is 00:48:27 Like, I've seen him, I've seen him absorb like four pages of copy and hit a mark and do it one time and then be like, I got to get out of here. How did you memorize all that? And I'm married to an actress who can do that. like on cue. I'm always like super impressed by him.
Starting point is 00:48:44 He's also really so that like to be a good trader, you have to be really smart. And you also have to be really likable. He's both of those things. And he's also used to like really long hours. The one thing that like we talk about a lot on my traders podcast is it's, it's so much harder for women to be traders than for men. And this might come across as like,
Starting point is 00:49:09 sexist, but the truth of the matter is that the time of which we film in Scotland is in the summer. And so the days are really, really long. So the night doesn't really happen until like midnight. So you can't go film turret trader stuff into like two or three. And then your call times are like eight. And, and you know, you have to drive long distances. Hey, this is the story of a bachelorette. I was going to say, I'm like, listen. I was like, well, it sounds very similar. But then they have to get up early because they have to do much so much more makeup than like something like Rob who like doesn't do anything, right? And so like you can never sleep. And so that's a big tell. When you sit in that breakfast room, you're looking to see who looks tired. Like it's a big thing. Do you guys actually eat that many eggs? Yeah, because the food sucks there. Really? So bad. Is the salmon? Like they talk about. I was like. I was like. I was literally about to ask about the salmon.
Starting point is 00:50:11 It's like the only thing that is somewhat good. Like, it's so much like the Scottish breakfast, which is like beans. I was going to say. Like a wet, half-cooked tomato. It's all beige. And like their bacon is like not good. It was not a great breakfast. They make it look so good.
Starting point is 00:50:38 And well, because they're like, oh, Sam, because it's like the one thing that like is consistently good. Wow. Oh, my gosh. All the facts. I'm like, I need to. I know. I have so many questions.
Starting point is 00:50:51 Okay. Yeah. Okay. Last one. Last one. Is there anyone on this season that is a faithful that you thought would have made an amazing trader? Because I have a thought.
Starting point is 00:51:00 And I don't know if I'm right or wrong. Um, I mean, I would have liked to see rap report as a traitor because I just, I don't know how we would have played it. He would have gotten voted off so quick. They just hated him. I wish they didn't do the thing they did with Donna. I thought that was a bad play and it just didn't work. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:51:27 You tell me what you think and I'll tell you if I agree with you. Okay. I think Mark Ballas would have been the best trader ever. He's so quiet. Everyone trusts him. Like everyone looks to him. I'm like he would have been like up there with Rob, I feel. I think that that still might happen.
Starting point is 00:51:43 I think that you think he'll recruit him and then kill him. Oh, not Mark. I think it's going to be him and Rob at the end. That's what I think's going to happen. You don't think he'll bring more? No, because I think he can manipulate Mora without having her in the turret in the turret. I want Mora to go to the end. She's so iconic and her outfits are the best.
Starting point is 00:52:04 Like who's going to be dressing when she's gone? You know, I got to meet her. Sarah hosted a couple seasons of Love Island. So I was in Fiji. And so she would come over and have drinks with us. Because she was doing like an after show or like the show. And she's awesome. And like she's coming across as like ill-informed.
Starting point is 00:52:31 And that's not what I remember from. I remember thinking that she was like really, really smart. And so it makes me think that Mora is going to have like a different story arc of like she's going to figure something out and like be a big part of the end. I hope so. I've also watched her Love Island season
Starting point is 00:52:52 and she's like a savage. The way she attacks people like I just feel like we haven't gotten the full extent of Mora. So I hope to see more from her as well. Yeah, agreed. Okay. And yeah, I'm like we have to have to have. No, we have to ask about the one and only thing that's coming up, Rachel.
Starting point is 00:53:11 Oh, my gosh, yes. Are you going to watch Taylor's season? Absolutely. I guess I'll give this tease. You know, they've finished, they've since wrapped the show, but when they were filming, I was in contact with Jesse a lot because our teams were like playing each other in football and he was like calling games from like the college I went to. And so I was just in contact with him a lot.
Starting point is 00:53:37 And I asked him, I was like, how's it going? Like, what's going on? He was like, dude, it's going to be so good. And he was like, and the guys we've got are going to be so good for paradise. And I was like, yes. Oh, I'm so ready. Coming from Jesse too. I feel like he has in the past been like, yeah, it was okay.
Starting point is 00:53:58 I've heard that. We got a good love story. That's it. Oh, my gosh. What are your thoughts on Taylor Wells? Just before we wrap. I think it's a good idea. Obviously, you know, it makes sense in the Hulu world with, you know, their show and ABC and Disney and all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:54:23 I think that you guys know, right? Like it takes a special type of person to be the lead. And when you watch the show, you know, like, let's. You know, like for the, I always said that like going on the Bachelorette was just like one long audition to see who could be the bachelor. Because they want to see like who can actually talk to these people, can be good on camera, can be good in here. So all this stuff that you need to do. And listen, she's obviously very good at that because she is the star of her own show. So in that respect, she's going to be a phenomenal lead.
Starting point is 00:55:00 obviously she comes with a little bit of baggage too, right? So that's something that she's going to have to talk about and explain, which I think will make for enticing television. But I've always said this, you know, when it's like no offense to bachelorettes, but like the show, you guys are the lead, but the stars are, is the cast. And you're just facilitating an opportunity for, for the cast to make good television.
Starting point is 00:55:34 And I think that she will do a very good job of helping these guys make amazing television, which is what I'm very excited about. I agree. Absolutely. Well, Wells, thank you so much for being on Happy Hour with us. This has been so fun. Thanks for having me, guys. I wish we were in person.
Starting point is 00:55:55 I know. I'd pour you a big old fat glass of champagne. pain. I was going to say the next time I see you, I need a drink ready to go. I got it. Okay. Anything else you want to plug at the N Wells?
Starting point is 00:56:10 Listen to his podcast, watch his golf show, do all the things, follow him on social media. Yeah, I'm going to use this opportunity to tell your fans out there. If you're in New York,
Starting point is 00:56:23 you should go see my wife's new show on Broadway called Just in Time. She plays Connie Francis. It's the life story of Bobby Darren and it's portrayed by Jonathan Groff, who is like the king in Hamilton or he's in Frozen or Mine Hunter. And he's absolutely lovely. He is, I mean, he's one of the, I think he's like one of the best things about Broadway right now. And he makes out with my wife eight times a week, which I'm totally fine with.
Starting point is 00:56:51 But the show is really, really good. And I would, if you want to go see a very fun show, go see Justin Time on. on Broadway and Sarah's run is limited. So I would do it in the next month or so before she and Jonathan might no longer be doing it. I love that. I'm adding that to my list. Yes, everyone go see Justin Time support Sarah. Amazing.
Starting point is 00:57:18 Well, thank you for being here. And thank you everyone for listening. Thank you guys. Bye. Hi. It's Joe Interstein host of the Spirit Daughter podcast. where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life.
