This is an I-Heart podcast.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, host of the Psychology Podcast.
Here's a clip from an upcoming conversation about how to be a better you.
When you think about emotion regulation, you're not going to choose an adaptive strategy which is more effortful to use unless you think there's a good outcome.
Avoidance is easier.
Ignoring is easier.
Denials is easier.

What is up, Bachelor, Happy Hour listeners?
Happy Wednesday.
We're glad to be back.
And like always, we're talking about everything that went down on last night's episode.
That is right.
I'm so excited to be back here with you guys.
Hello, my little Happy Hour listeners.
We have a really fun guest today.
it is Will, a.k.a. Little Willie.
And I have a feeling, I don't know, he's going to really just lay it all out there for us today.
I feel like he's a guy that has a lot to say.
I'm sure he does. I mean, last night, the beginning of the episode, obviously, the group date was wild.
I was laying in bed last night thinking about just everything that went down and thinking about the call signs.
and I know that he was coined
was it Lil Will, Little Willie,
whatever it was, Little Willie.
But I was thinking it might be more fitting
to call him Free Willy
because I'm just thinking about like
the coat being thrown in the water
and you know like the last scene in Free Willy
where the like whale jumps out and becomes free
and I'm hoping that's Will at the end of this.
Yes.
Blassum, will you be there?
Oh my gosh, should this be him?
his theme song when he comes on. Should we bring him into this song?
We should re-coign him. When he comes on, we're to be like, look, we understand your little
Willie, but we're going to call you Free Willie. Free Willie. Peter's gone. We have no more
hopefully drama between these two. So Will is free. Or free Willie. I mean, he can now be
the Willie that he's always wanted to be, but no. No, Peter in his damn way. Let's talk about
some things that went down in this episode. I feel like, uh, it was,
it was kind of intense.
I feel like we saw her
have an amazing one-on-one.
She had great group dates,
which the guys are really starting
to show their true colors.
Do we have any favorites yet?
Well, I can tell you
who my not favorites are.
I mean, I guess that's much easier.
Jamie, Peter.
Yeah, it's, you know,
watching this episode,
it was interesting because
there was a little bit of drama
sprinkled in each night,
besides the night with Rodney,
I will say like that one-on-one date went very, very well.
But the two group dates, there was drama, but it wasn't like overly heightened, I would say, where it's like, it was hard for a viewer to watch.
Like it was, I hate to say this, but like a little bit tolerable, if you will.
Does that make sense?
Yes.
And I actually felt the same way.
I feel like like the drama kind of fell flat.
And I, and it's literally because these guys are not engaging.
Like, it's just between the two people and nobody else.
Everyone just kind of stares, like, are you serious?
And I think that's the difference between this group between a lot of the others.
You know what I mean?
I feel like with Katie's season, a lot of the guys got really hyped and upset about it and had a lot of things to say.
And yeah, this kind of this group, you even saw like Nate in between Peter and Will.
He was just like sitting there.
Like, no one flinched.
Yeah.
And I think I feel like.
most of the men on Michelle season are very mature. I mean, obviously we have a few sprinkled in that
aren't, but for the most part, when there's drama going on, and that's what I actually like
watching, especially last night, is they kind of just shut it down and no one else really feeds into it
and engages. It's like they'll talk about it briefly. They'll let the men who are in the midst of the drama
hash it out. But what I appreciate with these guys is they don't want to ruin Michelle's night or
week and they're very aware of that which I appreciate and I wish I wish I guess every season
the contestants would think about that because there's a lot of pressure just going into this
in general and there's a lack of sleep your schedules are off but when the men kind of nip everything
in the bud right away and they're like don't bring this to Michelle you know she doesn't need to be
part of this drama her week last week was already ruined I like that about these men yeah and like
this stuff that happened with
Jamie. I mean, the guy straight
up went to him instead. Like they didn't try
to get the attention or the spotlight
in front of Michelle. Like, I have something to say,
like, let me stand up for you. Like, no.
They went straight to him. It was like,
did you really say this? Did you really do this? What the hell is
your problem? Like, nobody else had an issue with this.
Yeah. And everyone just kind of just
kept it very cool,
calm, collected in front of Michelle. Which,
I don't know. I think this is kind of nice.
I mean, again, I feel like the drama kind of fell flat,
but I kind of liked it.
I also really enjoy how Michelle handles conflict. You can tell that, and I especially saw it at the end when she, well, when she, I guess approached Jamie, but it was in the group setting when all the men were around. You can tell she's a teacher and she's honing those skills that I'm sure she uses for her students when there's drama happening and fights happening. She uses probably those same techniques and tactics.
tactics with these men, which I appreciate because I feel like I'm not a teacher. I would not
have handled that in remotely the same way or have been able to articulate it and just, you know,
hit the nail on the head so abruptly. It's just really interesting for me to watch,
but in a good way. Like I very much enjoy watching her. Yeah. I mean, she allows without,
she doesn't react. She allows the men to speak and to see what they have to say and then she makes a
decision. And I think that's honestly a really incredible skill that teachers actually,
you know, shoot, what's that word? They, they don't utilize it, but they do it every day.
Like, what's that word? What's that word? That they practice every day? Whatever. I think it's a
skill that teachers practice every single day with children and, you know, just people in the
classroom in general. It's like rather than reacting, like, let's see what you have to say.
Let's give me your reasoning. And then we'll tell you why this is probably not the way.
to do it. And that's exactly what she does with these guys and they're grown men. I know. I enjoy it. You know what I love
about her too is she the second she has any red flags or like her bullshit meter goes off. She sends
them home. Like there's no dragging anything out. She sent Ryan home night one. She sent Jamie home the
second. She lost trust in him. I'm like, you know, because there's always, I feel like I'm just now so
used to watching season after season where there's always to be continued. Like, did she
keep him or did he go home? You don't know. And the fact that she's just like, nope, it's done. I don't
feel it with you. Goodbye. Cheerio. Pip, on your way. I love it. I just, yeah. And so I, and I think
the men appreciate that too because they know she's not messing around. She is serious about what she
wants. If she doesn't feel it, if you rub her the wrong way at any point, it's done. And I think that's
a good thing to see with these men. And so they can still have trust and faith that she's taking
this seriously. Yeah. I mean, again, and I think that also places like the value in what she's
actually feeling and, you know, how she confronts them on. They know that she's speaking with a lot
of intention and a lot of purpose. And if she's bringing it up, it's because it's an issue or she actually
like cares and is invested in that. So rather than just like kind of just like, you know, playing into
the drama and sitting everybody down and like, okay, what did he say? What did he say? Like, no.
She's like, give me the source. Let's talk about it. Got to go.
not today Satan is what Michelle said every single morning.
She said, not today.
Also, her dress, like, she just looks so good.
That rose ceremony, dress that goal.
I was like, what?
This is like an Oscar walking down the stairs right now.
I mean, I almost took that girl and walked away.
You know what I mean?
I was just like, you don't understand it's not okay to look this gorgeous and like, thanks.
Like, she's, I just, she's amazing.
She's absolutely setting and so compelling.
posed. Again, she's a total package. She truly is. Can we get in? I want to talk about Rodney for a
second because I feel like he's in one of my favorites since night one, Mr. Granny Smith. And he
got a one-on-one this week, which I don't think many of the men were expecting. And I just fell in
love with Rodney even more. I feel like he is the total package. She, I understand. She was like
he's in the friend zone right now.
I want to see if we can get more to the romantic relationship side of things, which they did.
But I feel like that date, there was so much randomness happening, like from start to
finish through so many different.
What was it like watching them as they're running, as he, I should say, is running through
the hotel naked?
You know what I?
First of all.
Okay.
Was it actually naked?
I saw a man's buns that I did not expect to see and um the buns honestly it was so funny
because he just kept saying like my mom's going to kill me my mom's going to kill me like running
through the hotel and it was so funny and he had no idea originally that Caitlin and I were there
and you can hear me yelling Ronnie run because he had no idea and we were looking at like his little
ass was running around and I'm like come yourself and he finally noticed he's like oh my God you guys too
And then it was just so funny.
Oh my gosh.
But I think the thing that I really also like about Michelle is that she's thinking a lot of guys with these one-on-ones that I feel like we don't expect.
And it's not this like crazy initial like chemistry and attraction between them two.
It's like somebody that she sees a spark in.
And I think that's what I love about Rodney so much is because he's starting to like show like how funny and goofy he is and how much of a man he is.
and like this whole relationship just kind of blossomed after this one-on-one.
But he was hilarious that day.
I'm not even going to lie.
Caitlin and I were kind of all around the hotel watching this.
And then with the handcuffs and the presents, hilarious, him running around.
Like he like almost said a prayer because he was just like, I'm so sorry for like showing y'all
my buns.
Like it was just so funny.
I don't know.
How, okay.
It seems like night one when he came in.
And I think I think it was Nate when we had.
him on a couple weeks ago. He mentioned like, you see Rodney and like night one, he was just like
this big jacked dude. And then you get to know him. And I think Nate was like, he's just like this
big funny teddy bear. And so I feel like he was probably the perfect person for this date where it's
like this big man that you wouldn't expect to like strip down to the skivies and just like run
through willy nilly through the resort. But yeah. But I feel like that entire date. And when I say it was
random. I mean, like, it was random. They were able to hang out in her room. They were running naked
through the hallways. They were on a boat. They had like these intimate moments. Let's be real.
It's not a typical bachelor at date, but it was amazing. But he seems like he has so many
sides that we saw in that one go, like in a very short amount of time, which I appreciate as a viewer.
I mean, most of the times, like you can see who she's initially attracted to, like fresh out
the gate. We knew Nate. She was super attracted to. We knew Joe. She was super attracted to. But
Rodney? Jamie. Yeah. But I think.
Rodney is like this slow fire that's burning and growing and he feels like a safe haven for her.
There's something about Rodney that I really like that she kind of just gives them a chance.
And this is kind of like what I talked to her about in the beginning.
And like it might not be the loudest guy, the most, you know, attractive, the guy that stands out the most to you that might actually sweep you off your feet.
And I love the fact that she's actually giving him a chance because I really think that there's something good that's going to blossom from it.
and I might know a little bit more than you all know,
but I would just say, just keep watching, okay?
I, like I said before, I don't know spoilers,
so I don't know how far any of these men make it.
But I will say this.
I'm such a fan of Rodney that I, as I was watching this 101 date,
I texted my tour director for Bachelor Live on stage
and the producers that are working casting.
And I was like, can we please get Rodney as one of our bachelors?
Because I really want to be on stage.
with him, and I want him to just try to find
somebody and just have fun. I feel like he would be
so perfect for it. Becca, how do you know he didn't
buy Michelle? Well, that's what I'm seeing.
I don't know. Spoilers. So if he's with
Michelle, he got a good one, but Rodney,
if not, see
on stage, buddy. Yeah, I'll
make you just back on
up right there for a second.
You don't watch out. My man is taken.
No, maybe.
I'm my man.
I'm going to fight you for Rodney.
I really do
one week. Again, I
I don't know how far Rodney makes it.
Maybe he makes it at the end.
But I do want to get him on the podcast one of these weeks.
Just to chat with him.
I have a question for you, though.
You weren't on the group date, the Top Gun Maverick group date.
But I want to know if we can get tickets to the premiere for this movie.
I mean, okay, first of all, I was like, listen, y'all have me all around this hotel,
but I can't actually get off property and go hang out the guys from Top Gun.
I'm like, this is the one day I would really love to be a part of.
I was very jealous of this date.
Yeah, I wish you and Caitlin could have been part of that date.
Just because it seemed so cool.
I'm such a Top Gun fan.
I'm excited for that movie.
I just love that they could incorporate it into the date.
And like, what a cool date for the guys, too, to meet some of the actors to do that.
I would have loved, what is it, the Zero Gravity ride thing that they were on.
You want to do that?
I would love to do that.
That seems like my worst night.
mare. Oh no. Put me in that baby. Strap me in. I want to look crazy. I love the feeling when you
lose your stomach. Oh my gosh. Yes. But obviously. That's the one thing that people actually
hate. That's not normal. But like it's a feeling you never get to feel. How cool would that be?
I mean, whatever. I know Will hated it. Will seemed to be really struggling. I mean, he won
the bomber jacket. He won that day. But, you know, he almost lost his.
stomach and he did lose the jacket at the end of the night. Poor guy. You know, I had to say,
I'm really excited to talk to Will because yes, although Caitlin and I are there, this is one day
I didn't see and I didn't understand the beef between them. And now that I kind of got to watch
it all back, I have questions. I have a lot of questions. I think we should just bring him on
because we just got to hear it from the man of the hour. All right. Okay, ladies and gentlemen,
without further ado, please welcome Will to Bachelor Happy Hour. Welcome to Bachelor Happy Hour. Welcome to Bachelor
Happy hour, Will. How have you been?
I've been good, just getting back
into my normal routine, but
I'm glad to be here. Thank you for having
me. Where are you
calling in from? I am
currently in L.A.
So I came to L.A. to
visit two of my best friends
and I celebrated Halloween
out here, and I'm heading back home tonight.
Well, before we begin,
I have to tell you, I know we were talking
all about the call signs before you hopped on.
We know that you were coined
little Willie on the show, but
Tasha and I have a new name for you.
Because, you know, you went through some drama
last night, your bomber jacket
got tossed into the water.
Peter is now gone, though.
So we coined you as free Willie.
You're free Willie.
Yes.
I was finally free.
I finally get free.
I just saw you like it.
You like it.
Oh, yeah.
I've heard it all coming up through elementary school
all through middle school.
I've heard it all along.
Yeah, free will.
I'll take it.
I'll take it.
I'll take it.
I feel like they really dropped the ball on that last day.
We could have come up with a better one than Little Willie.
I feel like mine was the worst name too.
Like everyone was just like playing into their strength.
And then they're like, oh, you're Little Willie.
I'm like, okay.
I got to go out now.
That's okay, no, you're not the littlest one there.
Everyone knew.
You know, you're good, you're good.
But not your free will.
So that's all it matters.
That's right.
Let's take it back from the beginning.
We love to just to get to know all of the men who are on Michelle's season,
just to get to know you a little bit more,
because obviously there's only so much that we do and don't see each episode.
So take it back.
How did you originally get on the show?
Were you a fan of the franchise before joining?
I wasn't a fan.
I didn't watch it on my own.
I did catch only one season
and this was like back in the day in college
with one of my exes
so I would go to their room
and obviously they would have Bachelor Mondays
or match a bachelor nights
and it was a season where the bachelor
had a daughter. I remember the daughter's name
because it's my brother's name
and her daughter name was Ricky
and that's the only season that I've ever watched
obviously I knew what the show was
and I heard about it but I never like
was fully tapped into the show
but now I'm fully engaged, obviously.
And I'm in the world in the bachelor's nation world.
So now I keep up with it.
That's our bachelor at Emily that you were watching.
Emily, Emily, yeah.
I remember her name because my brother's name is Ricky.
I love that.
Who would have thought, you know, fast forward a few years later,
did you ever think you would be on the big screen?
Absolutely not.
Like, I remember watching this and everyone just hitting me up
And it's like, you used to watch all this together.
And now you're there, you're doing this.
You're taking a shot at love.
So I never imagined this.
But very grateful for the opportunity and the people that I met through the journey.
Well, speaking of your journey, let's talk a little bit about it.
Okay.
So there's been some drama going on in the last couple episodes.
So we kind of want to dive into that a little bit.
Did you have any idea who told Michelle that her character was being questioned at the time when she brought it up, when it was talked about?
Did you have any idea?
Oh, we had no idea.
And then I was one of the guys that was looking around the room like, yo, this is cutting into my time.
And I didn't get to talk to Michelle.
And then this goes on in the second row ceremony.
So I'm at this point in time, I'm very frustrated.
I'm like, dude, these people are cut into my time.
I'm ready to call out the snakes in the grass, like call people out for what it is.
And nobody was stepping up and we're just looking around the room.
People have different looks.
So I'm just trying to read the energy in the room
and no one is saying a word at all.
Did you guys go back and talk about it?
Like after the road to me?
I'm trying to figure out like you guys didn't try exploring who it was
or you guys just kind of dropped it after the road to everyone
because it made Michelle so upset.
For me, I kind of just left it alone with like Michelle.
I went to like see if a guy was going to be man enough to step up
and he'd be like, hey, it was me guys.
Like it was me that said Michelle, it would have just confessed to the group.
But nobody did that.
Nobody ended up doing that.
And we see that.
We see that nobody came forward about it.
And that person didn't have enough courage to step up in front of all the guys and just say it.
But I kind of left it behind.
I know she had a rough night.
And I just wanted to make sure she was good the next day.
Yeah.
Well, obviously, yeah, that was a very intense roast ceremony.
I mean, so much so that Michelle ended up canceling the cocktail party beforehand.
So that night, I'm sure everyone,
one was feeling a lot of different emotions and feelings. Fast forward then to the next week,
there's usually a fresh start, a new round of dates. What was the vibe going into then that first
group date the next day? So the vibe in the house is like we're still trying to figure out like
there's people are chit chat and you see different groups of guys like, yo, who could it be?
For me, it was just like, I need to make an impact on this group day. I need to make an impact.
I need to know. Michelle needs to know that I'm here for her, that I'm here to protect her,
and I'm going to be one of those guys that's going to have eyes around in the house and come back to
Michelle with anything that I see that's fishing. So my mentality going into the group day was to be
prepared and make a name for myself, make a name for myself. So Michelle remembers me and she's like,
this guy is willing to go through anything just to be by my side. I just feel like it meant a lot
for you guys to, Becca and I were talking about this earlier, how you guys kind of didn't want
ruin Michelle's night and you guys were kind of just waiting to see what was going to happen
as opposed to make more drama happen. But I want to talk about the two group dates with Peter
because I feel like Peter really, really pushed your buttons. And you even said that a couple
of times. He's like, you're like, this guy's really trying to push me. And it kind of all started
with the school date because some stuff definitely went down there. And I don't know. Explain all
that to me. How did this come about? Why did it start? It actually started for me. I met Peter.
Peter was one of the first guys I met. Peter was in my limo. So from there, yeah. So this is like
some of the backstory that people in the house don't know. And then Hawaii clash with Peter so
quickly. So I'm in the limo. I'm excited to just to see people after quarantine. And we're all
talking. And then Peter's saying some odd things in the limo. Peter's saying,
things that are off the wall just to be saying in front of guys, off of the walls, just to say
in front of guys that you just met the first day.
So he's kind of already running me the wrong way.
We both have very strong personalities, but I'm just getting to know the guys, getting to
know where they're coming from.
And one of the guys says their hometown, like, oh, I'm from this hometown.
And Peter right away, it's like, oh, your hometown is trash.
And I'm like, bro, you just don't say that about somebody's hometown.
Like, that person is representing their hometown.
If you have something against their hometown,
maybe you could talk to them about it,
but just don't come at people like that.
And then going into the house
and then just his demeanor,
he was the loudest guy in the room,
always wanted to be heard.
Peter was the first one to talk,
and that was last one to close any talks.
He just wanted the spotlight on him.
So going into the group dates,
I'm already seeing this.
I'm already seeing this guy
was all the attention that he could get
and he's not able to step on people's toes.
I was one of the guys that it's just like, man,
I'm going to call a spade of spade.
I'm going to call it how I see it.
Because time is limited,
and I'm seeing how it's going.
Drama is cutting into my time,
so I'm like, this guy has to go.
I have to be able to get the other guys in the house on my side
so they know that Peter is a guy that's not here for the right reasons.
So, yeah, when it came to that group day,
I joked about Peter.
threw a jab at Peter. It was kind of a joke. It was all fun in games. But if I, if you're
going to crack a joke, you're not going to crack a joke about the quietest guy in the room. I'm not
going to crack a joke on L.T. who haven't said too many things. I'm going to crack a joke on
the guy that wants the attention. So that's why I wrote the name down. Throughout that day, he had more
opportunities to to joke back around with me or to pull me aside for for a talk. But that doesn't
happen. Peter waits around all day. There's times where I ran into Peter. I saw Peter
throughout the house throughout and then he waits till nighttime once again because he he wants
that spot light. He wants that attention. He wants to see that all the other guys are there watching
and he pulls me during that group day and like, hey, can we have a talk? When I get up to go have a
talk, I'm thinking we're going to go have a grown man to man talk like really dissect and get to know
each other. So I go over there and the first thing he says to me like this is do not say a word
and let me finish talking. And I'm like, bro, that's not how you talk to another man. Like we could
easily have a mutual conversation. We could have a cordial conversation, but you're not going to
talk to me like that. Right. So I didn't appreciate just how he came at me from the, from the beginning.
And then from there, it just kept on escalating. And you guys will see like it just keeps going up
up and this guy's really trying to test me
and trying to throw me off my game.
Well, I want to ask you about that
because, you know, this past week now
we see both you and Peter on the top gun date,
which I think you made the comment.
You're like, I'm sick of going on group dates with Peter.
Yeah.
But, you know, that tension between the two of you
carried over into that date.
Now maybe chalk it up to the fact that
he got upset that, you know,
he spoke Italian and then you spoke Spanish
and then you had the combat fight
where you knocked him off a couple times.
I'm sure things just kept building,
but from the week before,
from that interaction,
I guess that argument that you had
when Michelle heard you yelling
at that first group date cocktail party,
was there any alleviation
between the two of you?
Did you hash it out
and kind of squash it and put it to bed?
Or did it just kept festering?
It just kept festering.
And we didn't get to hash it out at all.
And I'm like,
he really played more into it
and tried to get more of the guys
on his side.
So the next day,
day. I remember he was in the house telling more of his story, more of his side of things and
whatnot. But it was just like, I understand Peter, we all have a story. We all have a place
where we come from and what makes us who we are today. But I'm not going to use that to my advantage
to either to have people feel sorry for me or to even get more time. And that's where I feel like
he was going with that. He was just like, okay, I feel for you, Peter. But,
we all have tough backgrounds. We all have things that we had to overcome in life. Just don't use
that to get more time or to get more guys on your side. That was my biggest thing and it just
keeps going. He's throwing jabs at me. On the group day, he says that I cheat when I knock
him off the platform several times. The rules were explained and they were plain and simple.
Once the whistle blows, you attack your opponent. And when the whistle blew,
I did just that.
Like, I went after finger.
And it felt good, honestly.
It felt good to do it within the rules of the game, do it in that manner.
Because there was tension there.
There was tension there from the week prior.
But at the end of the day, he still think that I didn't deserve the jacket, that I cheated.
But at the end of the day, I came out, Mr. Maverick.
I mean, yeah.
You definitely let that anger and tension come out and really kind of just let him have it,
which I do agree, you run fair and square.
And so at the end of the day,
like you really did earn that jacket
and that's something that you said.
At the end of the day, he's like,
I earned that.
Like, why is he trying to take that away from me?
Did Peter have any other issues
with any other guys in the house?
Or did it seem like he was just kind of picking on you?
I was the main guy that he was targeting.
Other guys did have issues with Peter.
They just weren't as vocal.
I was just the guy that was the most vocal.
Like, I was the guy telling the guys,
calling them out for what I saw and sharing my thoughts.
I was the one that was pretty open.
But a lot of the guys came up to me when we had bro talks.
And they were like, dude, like, this guy just won't shut up.
I know one of those guys was LT.
LT came up to me and you hear him in one of his interviews.
Like, this guy just won't shut up.
And that's how it was for all of us.
The very first day, a lot of people liked his energy because he did bring a lot of energy.
But then throughout more days, people are like, okay, Peter, like tone it down.
This is a little bit too much at this point.
Yeah.
Well, it happens really quickly when you start to see people's like true colors, unfortunately.
And maybe this just wasn't the right environment for him.
Yeah, it's a rough environment.
I mean, and we've talked about just everything's kind of stacked against you.
It's just not a normal setting way to date to begin with.
And, you know, add in lack of sleep and, you know, not really having a set schedule.
and everyone's trying to vie for one female's attention,
it gets heated really fast.
It's hard to kind of keep, you know,
once things are fester and it's hard to keep those tensions,
you know,
to a minimum.
Obviously,
we saw things really explode after the Maverick Day
when he ended up taking your bomber jacket.
And prior to him taking that,
you guys had exchanged some words,
you know,
take us back to the mindset when you were,
I think it was you and Peter,
and then I believe Nate was in between you.
it was like the three of you guys sitting and you and peter were going back and forth and
it was just kind of sitting there sipping his drink like what the hell am i in the middle of
um take us back to your mindset in that moment where you just kind of over it were you like i'm not
going to let him get to me i'm not going to let him win like what what were you feeling in that
moment i had it was a lot honestly that that i had a little bit of everything it's just like i was
going to let him win but he just kept going at one point in time i got fed up and it's just like
dude like this is enough uh but we did keep going and it was just yeah it was a mix of emotions
i was just like i was ready to have that be done because every time i talk to michel
i had to deal with peter right before and this is like i came out i won mr maverick i'm having
a good day michelle is noticing that i'm willing to survive and put myself through the danger zone
to be with her.
So I wasn't really,
I was going into the mindset
just like,
this is a good day.
My mental is good,
it's clear.
I'm on a high.
I just wanted the day.
And then I didn't want to deal with Peter
right before I wanted to go talk to Michelle again.
So at the same time,
it's just like I had to handle it,
but it was just like I wanted to go
and talk to Michelle with a clear head
because that affected me that every time
I got to talk to like the very first two times,
it was just like I had to deal with Peter right before.
And then that was kind of throwing me off
where it didn't feel like I was putting my best foot forward.
And Michelle is one of those people that she's able to read your energy
and she's able to read if you're upset.
And it's just like it took me away from me being Will,
from me being that funny, goofy guy that loves kids,
that loves to impact people.
And I didn't like that within myself.
So, like, whether you'll see that I'm arguing with Peter in the heated conversation,
but then I start to calm down a little bit more.
It's just like, this is not worth it.
And I do this.
I kind of wave my hand, like trying to wave it off.
And it's just, he keeps on going.
And then it just escalates from there.
I was say it broke my heart watching you walk away.
Because like, the guys are trying to comfort you and you're like, I appreciate that.
But like, I'm going to just have to step away for a minute.
And I feel like that really just goes to show your character as opposed to like going straight to him and like just, again, escalating the situation.
And I wasn't trying to get Peter excuses earlier, like talking about the environment, obviously.
But I'm just trying to say, like, you're true.
character ends up showing. And for you, you were the better man. And I really appreciate that.
Yeah. It seems like, I mean, we could tell, and when Tasha says, we felt for you, I mean,
it just seemed so overwhelming. And it seemed like you were in such a hard predicament because,
you know, there's this drama happening. Your personal property was taken and damaged, which to begin
with is not okay. And then the fact that you don't want to bring that to the girl you're dating. You don't
want to ruin her night. And, you know, I'm sure you wanted to be able to open up and confide
in her, but you didn't want to bring that drama to her. So you were in a tough spot. How did you
feel with the other guys? Because, well, first of all, I want to know who, how did you find out
when you walked back that Peter had thrown your jacket into the pool? And obviously, after that
happened, the other men didn't seem to find it funny. I mean, they kind of had to talk you down a
little bit to be like, be the bigger man. You know, don't bring this to her attention. Um,
So what were they all saying to you when you came back after talking with her and finding out about the coat?
I believe one of the guys that told me was either Nate or Spencer when I came back to the sitting area.
And they were just like shaking their head.
I could see it and it looked like something just tragic just happened.
And I'm coming back from like getting a drink or something.
I think I was just getting water.
And they're like, something just happened.
Like Peter took your jacket.
I was like, okay, like where is it?
And then one of them is like, oh, people threw it in the pool.
and then I can see the look on their faces like that was really messed up that Peter did that
and he took it to that extent and then that's when you start seeing the shift of the guys like
okay Will is in the right will is the guy that right trying to be the bigger man um I think
Martin comes up to me and he's like he's one of the guys that was kind of like in between he was
like not on Peter's side not on Will's side but then that night I remember him coming up to me like
I see what you see.
Like he's seeing it through my lens now.
Same thing with Nate.
Nate comes in and Nate tells me like,
yo, that was really messed up and even apologized to me.
And Spencer and Nate, I know I remember they're one of the guys that
were there trying to keep me composed through the whole,
through the whole situation.
But like you guys said, I did not want to bring it to Michelle.
It was something that I thought I can handle on my own as a man with Peter.
And time is limited.
I did not want to spend my time with Michelle.
talking about Peter at all.
Like, every time I talk about Michelle, I was trying to forget about Peter.
I didn't want to talk to her about Peter.
So in the night prior to that, Michelle went through a lot.
Like you guys said, she had to cancel the cocktail party.
Where I come from is like, you handle things as man.
And then you can move forward.
It's something, it was something between me and Peter.
It was in between Peter and I and Michelle.
It became that way once he damaged the property because that was something that was gifted
to me by Michelle.
But this is another night
I did not want to ruin her night
I felt like I could have dealt with it on my own
and that's what I did
I just stayed composed and I was like
hey let me sleep on it
let me see how I can address this situation
in the best way possible
where it doesn't affect me anymore
and it doesn't affect her
my thoughts was just like
hey I got to protect her she had a rough night
before I'm not going to ruin
this night again just because Peter
is pushing my buttons
did anyone i know that night we saw you kind of take a step back and you obviously did not bring that
to her attention do you did anyone at any point before the next row ceremony mentioned it to her
did she have any idea yes um and this is my guy one of the guys that's just like one of my bros
throughout the shows um we're probably bros for life now brandon jay so brandon jay takes some of his time
at the road ceremony and he he briefly tells her he briefly tells her like hey there's some
guys in the house that are picking on other guys that are just throwing them off their their
selves and they're just like it needs to be addressed um and brandon was my roommate so brandon
was really able to see from from a whole different perspective that you guys are seeing and the people
in the house were seeing how it was affecting me because that's right at the end of the day that's
who who i got to talk to that's the guy that was there
like trying to talk to me and keep me level-headed throughout the whole
throughout the whole process and he was the one which I was very appreciative of
that took his time to tell Michelle like yo there's there's some things going on in the
house that need to be addressed today yeah it's so big of him honestly especially
talking about some you know the drama in the house but also at the same time like you know
he has your back and it's I'm glad that he also didn't like make a big deal at the
it could have taken away a lot from you guys but um at least you know that you have like this
guys watching out for you and um at the end of day she got rid of peter at the rose ceremony how did
that feel when she didn't give him the rose i mean it was between him when it wasn't the last
rose down to him yeah the last rose was down to him and a few other guys but it just felt good
It felt good.
I felt a sense of relief just like, like I could finally show her more size to will.
Like there's so much size to will.
There's so much I have to offer.
And I feel like we have so much in common that she hasn't been able to see or really dissect just because I've been dealing with this.
So this week is like free willie.
Free Willie is here.
Free Willie is super happy.
And he's ready to go in.
go in and like attack the week
I was so excited that he was gone
it was probably one of the best things
that happened there
and it was just
what I needed honestly to continue
with my journey
yeah it's like you don't have that cloud looming
over your head anymore
absolutely yeah
you already have enough to deal with
exactly okay so
taking it back now to the rose ceremony
there was
it was finally
the first time that Michelle was aware that, I guess not Michelle, but that the men were aware
that Jamie was the one who had confronted her last week and, you know, brought up the fact that
people were questioning her and her character and that, you know, potentially she had something
with Joe prior to coming on the show. Were you surprised to find out that it was Jamie
who told her and I guess like what was that atmosphere like when Nate and some of the other men
started to confront him about it. It was very intense and Jamie it was intense. It was kind of uncomfortable
honestly because Jamie was just like talking in circles and kind of dodging a lot of the questions
and he's very good at that. He's you'll see that he's very good at diverting the questions and
changing it to something else.
So we got to that point where we're just like, dude, you're just not answering what
we're asking you.
And he ended up walking away for a little bit, I think, to get a drink or something.
But I got it very intense and it was very uncomfortable.
And I was very upset because Jamie was one of the guys that was like, dude, just go talk
to Peter.
And he was kind of like trying to like, little bro me like, trying to tell me like, dude,
just be the bigger man.
And I'm like, I'm trying to be the bigger man.
But Peter's still pushing my buttons.
and he's disrespect me.
So, Jamie, I was upset that it was just like, dude,
you're trying to tell me to do the right things,
but then you go and do this.
Right.
And I'm trusting him.
At this point in time,
there's a lot going on my mind.
I'm like, Jamie, Jamie is a good dude from a good background
and all that kind of stuff.
So I was like, I'm trusting him.
So I'm second-guess and everything.
And then to find out that Jamie's the one that started this rumor,
Jamie's the one that feels insecure that she knew Joe before.
It, like, hit me like a truck.
So I'm, like, questioning Jamie.
I come up to Jamie several times, but it's just like, it was uncomfortable.
And I ended up, like, walking away from him a few times because he, he was dodging the
questions.
He was talking in circles.
And we were just like, dude, do you want to be here?
Like, are you even secure of who you are within yourself?
Why did you need to do this?
Why we were dealing with so much in the bubble?
It's like, why bring outside things into?
the bubble like okay if you read this if you heard that um don't address in the bubble like
we we're already so under so much stress and then trying to do this trying to speed day and trying
to get to know michel it's just like we don't know it was understood why he brought that rumor in
and why did he feel like it was going to be something that he needed to use for for the conversation
i don't know if he was trying to tell michel or see if michel like saw that he was like trying to look
out for her, but it didn't turn out that way.
And then it ended up biting them in the butt.
Yeah.
How did it feel watching the episode back and then like hearing what Jamie had to say about
some of you and the guys?
Like really putting you guys down and...
To be honest, we, it is crazy.
It is. It is watching those episodes.
Like, that's not how Jamie talked in front of the guys.
When he's like he's one of the best guys there and he feels like he has like a leg up.
He's just something along those lines where he just.
This felt like he was the best to there.
But during the whole group, like when we're in the group setting,
Jamie was one of the guys that was just like,
yo, this is so great what we're going to get to take away from this experience.
Like, think about it, guys.
It's like, we're here with a great group of men.
And we could each pick something from each guy and become a matter of man ourselves.
And that was his whole outlook.
And we're like, we're all thinking like, oh, he's a good dude.
He's a good dude.
So watch his interviews now is just like,
Yo, I don't know Jamie.
Like, I thought I kind of knew Jamie, but there's two different sides to Jamie.
And I'm able to see that now because he's saying, he's saying some things in his interviews that he didn't have the courage to come up and say it to the guys or in the whole group of guys.
You know who Jamie is?
Jamie is Regina George from Mean Girls where he'll go up to somebody and be like, that is the cutest skirt I've ever seen.
Where is it from?
And then the person turns away and he goes, that's the ugliest effing skirt.
that I've ever seen.
It seems like he has like this superiority complex where he just feels like he is better.
Like he, you know, even in his interviews, he made it seem like he is a step ahead of all of you guys and that he has everything in the bag and that you guys, none of you guys are on the same level as him.
And so now knowing how he was to all of your faces in a group setting and maybe even in one-on-one settings,
and then seeing how he talks about you in the interviews and away from you all,
have you confronted him, like, over the phone?
Has anyone brought that up to him?
Like, where do you all stand with him now?
No, nobody, I don't think anybody has confronted him.
I haven't confronted Jamie.
It was something that Michelle handled, and she handled it right away.
She handled it like a queen, but I did not confront Jamie at all after that.
But it's just like I'm able to see who Jamie is for his true.
colors and I'm able to be aware of that and keep my distance.
But I don't know if anybody else addressed it.
I didn't feel like it was for me to address it.
When I do see them, I feel like I would say something to them like because it did take
away from our time.
And that's something that we're all fighting for.
It's just time.
And this is another road ceremony where you see Michelle upset.
And it's like every time she was upset, it got to us.
It got to me.
It got to me that it's just like she's upset again.
Why are we keep doing this?
This is supposed to be a happy experience.
It's supposed to be where we find love.
Why are we bringing it down?
Why are we bringing her down to the point where she's in tears
or she feels like her character is being questioned?
It's just like if you were going to question her character,
why is he even sign up?
Like I signed up this just because I knew who Michelle was.
I was able to see a little bit of like Matt season
when they told me I was going to go on to see what type of woman she was.
and that's why I was here
because of Michelle. So if you're going to question
it, if you're going to question the process, if you're going to question
her, then you might as well
just walk out. And you see that, that
Michelle, like a true queen,
just handles her shit and walks
them out.
Amen. Amen. I was just thinking
some snaps. I know. I was going to say
amen, like a true queen is
right. Well, now that
Jamie's gone, can you give us
a one sentence
teaser of what's to come this season
and what we could possibly expect
now that the drama might be out of the way
can you give us a little taste?
Oh, what's coming?
Yeah.
Oh, shoot.
Let me see.
Oh, she's ain't no more.
I don't know if we should be excited for that or nervous.
For me, like for my personal experience,
I was excited because this is like,
This is where I felt like I could finally get in full stride.
Like I could finally, there's, we're getting rid of the snakes.
We got rid of Ryan.
We got rid of Peter.
We got rid of Jamie.
So it's like, okay, I feel like we have a good group of guys now.
I feel like we have true genuine guys that want to be there for the right reasons.
But then more, more guys, more, more their true colors start showing.
And it's very hard because it's like if you don't know who you are going into this,
a lot of your flaws start to show quickly because you are around a lot of big dudes, alpha males.
There's a lot of strong personalities.
So you really have to be confident within your own skin to be able to navigate in that type of world.
Because if you are questioning who you are, your character, who you are within the group of guys,
we're able to see that.
And it's just, it's more snakes.
That's what I'm going to say.
Oh, more snakes.
So we, every week, like to keep grass cut low and get rid of them one by one.
That's the best one liner you could have given us.
Oh, my God.
I can't wait.
I mean, I know that you both were there.
You lived through much of it, but I have no idea what's to come.
I cannot wait.
I mean, just that one sentence alone, gold.
Keep your grass cut low.
And I can't wait to see more of you.
Before we let you go,
we love to play our games on Bachelor Happy Hour.
So we're going to do a little Bachelorette superlatives.
So basically we're going to give you just a most likely two example.
And then you'll just have to finish this sentence with the name of someone in Michelle's group of guys that you think best fits.
And it just can be rapid fire and have fun with it.
And if it's you, you can say you, any of the names, it's fair game.
So Tasha, you want to kick it off?
let's do it
yeah
okay
so most likely
to get the party
started
uh
Rodney
Rodney
Rodney
we're a fan of Rodney
okay most likely
to start the drama
Peter Pizza
Wait
did he ever make pizza
for you guys
Did anyone try any
No he just dropped
the dough on the floor
Yeah he never did
He wanted to
So bad
He never got a chance to
Missed opportunity
I wouldn't have a piece
I would have skipped out.
He wanted to poison your piece.
Watch out.
Oh, gosh.
Okay, most likely to get the guys laughing.
Let me see.
Let me see.
There's a few funny guys within the group.
I'm going to have to go with Ronnie again.
Ronnie was good vibes.
Good vibes to be around.
And every time I was around, Rodney, my cheeks were hurt.
Like, my cheeks were hurt just for laughing.
We're a huge Rodney fan.
At least I am.
I don't want to speak for Tation,
but I'm a huge reddy fan.
Who is most likely to start a dance party?
The dance party.
Ooh, let me see.
I would say Leroy.
Leroy is like a quiet place.
He's a smooth attacker.
He's so smooth and such a clever dude that I would say Leroy.
Leroy has to add little swag to him that I hope you guys get to see in the upcoming episodes.
Leroy. Hold a note on us, buddy.
I love that.
Okay.
Most likely to cheat to win a group date.
Most likely to cheat to win a group date.
I'm going to say Spencer, because during the whole Mr. Maverick, we had to do push-ups.
And Spencer was holding his push-ups as I was doing my push-ups.
So he was kind of cheating trying to beat me in the push of competition.
Oh, I got to see that firsthand.
So I was a Spencer.
But Spencer is a good dude, but he was trying to do what he had to do to win a date.
Don't we all.
Who is most likely to steal Michelle first at a cocktail party?
Um, most likely to steal her first.
Jamie.
Jamie was the guy that, like, first night stole her first.
And, yeah, I would say Jamie.
Okay.
Most likely to skinny dip in the pool.
Um, I would say Daniel, Daniel Tully, Daniel.
Most likely to go to bed first.
That was me.
That was, I was trying to go to bed early.
I was so tired, like, some of the days.
But I was just having so much.
fun like every time my guy on a group day that it's that I was I was exhausted a lot of times
and I was one of the guys that it's just like okay what else what we would have to do and I was just
trying to get my mind right I was just trying to get good rest so I could put my best foot forward
most likely to change lives one slice at a time oh I don't think he is changing those lives
one slice at a time that's what I try to say I don't like it let's just know I got to say
I want to try this pizza just to see what the hype's all about.
Me too.
I want to try it, but I want to see it being made because I don't know my point it.
The preparation behind it.
Oh, my God.
He wants to make sure it's not all, you know.
It's all clean ingredients, you know what I mean?
I get it.
Organic, fresh, clean ingredients.
Vegan, gluten-free.
Exactly.
Will, it has been such an absolute pleasure having you on and just getting to know you a little bit more.

Hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That seems inappropriate.

When you think about emotion regulation, you're not going to choose an adaptive strategy

Avoidance is easier.
Ignoring is easier.
Denials easier.
