Two very different stories share the spotlight here. First, Trump hosts the second Shield of the Americas summit, welcoming Peru as a new member and pushing allied nations to formally designate cartels as terrorist organizations, with genuinely striking numbers on fentanyl seizures down 97% by sea and $4 billion stripped from cartels. Leaders from Ecuador and Colombia weigh in on Venezuela, democracy, and regional security, and Trump touts a 21 trillion dollar investment record along with Iran's crumbling navy and air force. Then the scene shifts entirely to a DOJ press conference out of Utah, where officials announce charges against a postal worker accused of dumping over 300 mail in ballots in a church parking lot dumpster ahead of a primary election. Deputy AG remarks, HSI, and USPS Inspector General officials lay out broader election fraud numbers and field pointed questions from reporters about motive, scope, and whether this points to a bigger national problem. Wide ranging and genuinely newsy on two very separate fronts.  

The Badlands, one of the Badlands, explain those badlands. That's a hell of their name. A big day. A lot of things are going on. I can say that Stephen Jarrett met with the mediators on the Iran deal. The mediators were here. Not the highest level. I did something.

A lot of good thoughts. A lot of things are working out very well. But I'm thrilled to be here at the second meeting of the Shield of Everett. The shield of the Americas is a big deal. Maybe you don't know it, but it's a big deal. Very important. And this is the largest of most powerful lives for economic and national security ever to convene

in the Western Hemisphere. And I'd say that's pretty good. I want to thank Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Where's Marco? He's never very far away. But we have so many great people. I want to thank Christine Nome for doing a really terrific job. And all of the other members of the administration,

we have Scott, we have Steve, we have a couple that have Hi, Christine. We have a couple that you showed up, but I'm not to introduce everybody, because you're much more important than they are. You're the heads of the country. And your countries are doing very well. There's been a big shift in your country. Big shift to the right.

That's a good thing, but for two long leaders before us allowed many parts of the Western Hemisphere become badly destabilized by cartel violence, uncontrolled migration, and foreign interference. And you know that better than a lot of you got elected for that very reason you would have stopped at the shield of the Americas is a recognition that our region is stronger, safe, and more prosperous if we work together and confront these threats of all of the threats of the people, the biggest, the cartels, I would say, the threat. As part of that effort, I want to thank you for joining the Department of Wars of America,

counter-cartel coalition, and we're there to help you. For years, cartels have waged war on the people in this hemisphere now. We're waging war on them. The job of every leader of this room is above all to protect the physical safety of your people. These are violent terrorists, paramilitary forces in control of physical territory, and that's because nobody ever did anything to stop. You're much tougher than them, and you have to have. have the backing of the United States,

and that makes you much stronger. So today I'm asking all nations in the shield of the Americans to formally designate narco-terrorists as common threats to stability and apply crushing sanctions against all 24 U.S. designated foreign terrorist organizations. Until I came along, nobody designated anything you were on your own, but now you're not on your own anymore.

And all drug trafficking organizations, I want to thank you for the steps that you've already taken to help deny these organizations of safe havens you have let us know and we're taking them out let us know and we take them out or you take them out yourself I like that even better we'll do it for you but our joint efforts have already saved hundreds of thousands of lives from lethal fentanyl all over dusters and stripped over four billion dollars in cartels you probably noticed that the

drugs, the pentadol being delivered by sea, by ocean, and sea. It's down 97% coming into the United States. Nobody's going to say anything like it. And so that means there's 3% left, and we're trying to find out who are those 3%? Because I think they happen to be the bravest people in the world, okay? They may be bad, but they're brave.

But we're down 97%. For years, administration has displayed games, and they bring them to a court in Miami or something. And the judge would release him immediately and they'd go back to selling drugs and fentanyl and everything else that they sell. But now we don't waste our time doing it. Today I'm asking the shield of the America members to help ensure the vast natural wealth of this cemetery. You have tremendous natural. Maybe in the world you probably have the greatest natural wealth.

And that you not let it be taken over by hostile outside powers. You can't let that happen. You won't have a country in the world. Once that happens, you really, you don't come back very decent. But we must secure control of our own energy pipelines, rare earth elements, and agricultural trade carters and something that you know how to do and you know how to do it very well.

The resources of the Americas must always belong to the people of the Americas. The United States is eager to work with you to achieve this goal and to strengthen all of our nations. and we're working with many of you, and so many of you, almost all of you, I recognize just by your own great work. It can be great working. Very respected people. You're doing something that a lot of people thought couldn't be done very easily.

So I want to thank you once again. It's a great honor to be here, and I just want to let you know that the United States is standing behind you. And a number of you know that very well because you're here. I've endorsed some of you, and you had great election victories. Great election victories. So far I think I'm nine for nine. Everybody I've endorsed as one. And I just had a big win in Colombia.

As you know, we had a big win in Argentina, and that's so long ago, twice. And a lot of wins. We're winning a lot. So I just want to thank you all for being here, and I'm with you all the way. And whatever I can do, I will do. And we have very capable people with Scott and Marco and Pete in Hexat. and the general raisin cane, general raising cane, that's what they call them, or reason. And you're really fantastic.

Congratulations on the job, welcome. Nobody thought a thing like this would ever happen. Congratulations. Thank you. I don't want to say a less impressive group because I'll be insulting people very badly, so I won't say it, okay? I grew up a number of other meetings scheduled, and I think I'm going to see some of you tonight. I'm going to meet and shake hands and have pictures.

and we'll approach. Yes, please. Thank you, Mr. President. Let me congratulate you because I think you have just broke a war record. I don't think there is a U.S. president who has met more times with President of the Western sphere. For the last six months, San Mubago is a very close plan, long-standing friend of the U.S. This is something that we also, we have been looking forward always to have the opportunity to meet with you, with your administration.

Summit of the America, and I'm very sorry because we're hoping to be in Dominican Republic last December, but that was not possible. But we are meeting, and I think this is a great signal for all the countries in the Western Hemisphere. The Shield of America is a great initiative, and I think it's an opportunity that myself and my country, we don't want to pass. We want to advance as much as possible. You have a great team. You have a great Secretary of State.

and there's a lot that we can achieve. We have, of course, our own concerns, and there are mutual concerns that we want to work together. We think that Venezuela is something that needs to put all the countries together. We celebrate what you did because all of us, we have suffered of the Maduro and Chavez regime for many, many years, so we appreciate what happened on January 3rd, but we need to continue to work and make sure that there is democracy again.

in Venezuela. The same happened in Nicaragua and hopefully we can see a free Cuba in our generation. So we are here to work together with the US administration and please come on us and thank you. Thank you very much for putting the Western Hemisphere on your agenda. Thank you very much. There is a lot of situations in aging because there's the biggest oil companies in the world now going in and they're starting to build. It takes a little while. We're spending billions of dollars at building rigs where no rig existed or where they're old and rotted and rusted and useless.

So we have the biggest companies in the world of American oil companies and others going in. And it's been amazing and the people, they've never seen anything like it. And that goes to the people often and they come some to us but goes largely also to that as well and that's great in Cuba. And they're welcome to say about Cuba. and then in the blackout last night, they don't have enough for lights. I don't know what's going on with Cuba, but they're not looking so good. But, you know, Marco's parents were born in Cuba.

It's like a great story. He wants to figure it all out, Marco, right? You want to figure out what's exactly there. I think he has figured it out. I mean, there's somebody in the near future drop them off in the middle of Cuba. Just on the way back from around, where I have one of those big, beautiful aircraft there is. fly and drop them off and they'll figure out the rest he always has.

But it is a great story. His parents will go down and now look at the position of Secretary of State doing a fantastic cat. Do you have anything to say? Well, I've already spoken to the group and they've heard me from two, but I did want, I know we have to go to this, we have this meeting coming up. But since this group last month, we've got two new members. One, he's not here today, the President of Columbia, because he made a pledge not to leave the country.

El Tigre. So he was a big Trump fan. That's why I liked him. He was, all he did is talk about Trump, Trump, Trump. And I said, I like that guy. Let's endorse it. And he went from number 10 to number one and one in the Lenside. And I hear he's on my chair.

But our newest member is here from Peru. President President of Warren and I give you an opportunity to speak and introduce yourself. Thank you. We're very good. Mongolia has launched several important initiatives in this regard, including serving as one of the founding members of the group of landlocked developing countries at the United Nations and the establishment of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries in Olambatar. To translate the VASA program of action into tangible outcomes, It is essential for landlocked developing countries to align the program with their national development agendas and make full use of available resources and opportunities to accelerate regional integration and cooperation. We also call upon the international community, banks, financial institutions, and development partners to provide credible assistance to landlocked developing countries through their support and collaboration.

Mr. President. As the deadline for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Approaches, the SDG report 2026 shows that only 36% of the Sustainable Development Goals are on track or making moderate progress while 15% are regressing. It is deeply regrettable that, according to the latest report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, released at this critical time global. As alleged in the indictment, the defendant, then a letter carrier for the Postal Service in Utah, destroyed over 300 mail-in ballots that were meant to be delivered to residence for the June 23rd primary.

The defendant allegedly threw those ballots into a dumpster in a church parking lot, even though he knew that they were ballots and they were clearly marked as ballots. Election integrity, which includes ballot integrity, by the way, should be a nonpartisan issue. The right of American citizens to have their votes properly counted is vital to determining the rightful winner of an election. But the actions of even one malicious actor on the ground can fatally undercut that security. To address the chronically abused mail-in ballot system, the Postal Service recently issued a regulation that would have required mail-in ballots to have special tracking and design features, ensuring both that ballots do not end up in the hands of people who are not entitled to them, and also that the ballots do end up in the hands of those who are entitled to them. Again, election integrity should not be a political or partisan issue who could be against properly tracking mail-in ballots.

Unfortunately, but entirely predictably, that regulation was blocked by a judge in Massachusetts. In fact, she blocked the rule before it was even issued. That was reversed, but she issued another injunction, and the litigation extended for so long that that regulation will not go into effect before the 26 midterms. The Trump administration, however, will continue taking aggressive actions to protect our elections. Our civil rights division, led by Hermit Dillon, is sending hundreds of election monitors across the country, continuing a decades-long bipartisan practice. In the last four weeks alone, DOJ has charged 32 aliens with unlawful voting and registration offenses

Since the beginning of this administration, the department has charged 70 such people with such offenses, and we intend to bring many more. By comparison, in the prior administration, they brought only 13. That's not 13 per year. It's 13 and four years total. So think about that. In the last four weeks, we've brought almost three times as many as the prior administration brought in four years. The prior administration simply turned a blind eye and refused to protect. our nation's electoral integrity.

We can't solve this problem alone. We need states to stand with us. Unfortunately, several states have actually made it easier to cheat. Many states do not require photo ID to vote, which not only encourages fraudulent voting, but then as a matter of proof makes it more difficult to identify fraudulent voting after the fact. Other states automatically register to vote anyone who gets a driver's license,

again, ensuring that individuals are improperly added added to the voter rolls? Some states apparently still don't even know the basics. New Jersey, for example, recently admitted 6,600 aliens had been improperly registered to vote, and they admitted hundreds of them did in fact vote. So remember, folks, voting fraud is real. Under the leadership of President Trump

and Attorney General Blanche, this department is committed to protecting the vote of American citizens. I'll now turn the microphone over to our U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah, Melissa Holyoke. Good afternoon. I'm Melissa Holyoke. I'm the U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah. I would like to provide some additional details on this indictment. Last week, Utah federal grand jury indicted 34-year-old Damon Matai CE of Pacing Utah for unlawful secretion, destruction, and delay of mail for illegally disposing of mail-in ballots that were intended to be delivered

in anticipation of our June 2026 primary election. This morning, U.S. Marshals arrested CE and he made his initial appearance in federal court in Salt Lake City. The indictment alleges that on June 3rd, defendant's CE, a federal postal worker, discarded over 300 ballots. C.E. betrayed the public's trust when he allegedly threw hundreds of ballots in the trash. After C.E. allegedly threw away the mail-in ballots, several voters complained to the Utah County clerk that they never received their mail-in ballots. Using county databases, the clerk determined that the rate of voter participation was remarkably low in the area

where residents had complained that they had not received their mail-in ballots. In Utah, over 95% of voters rely on mail-in ballots to exercise their right to vote. As American citizens, we have certain freedoms and rights, and one of those fundamental rights is the right to vote. But when defendant allegedly tossed the mail-in ballots into a parking lot dumpster, those citizens' right to vote were also thrown away. I want to be very clear that throwing away, mail and ballots is a federal crime that I, along with the department and our law enforcement

partners, take very seriously. My office, along with our law enforcement partners, will continue to investigate election integrity, to ensure justice, and that anyone whose constitutional right to vote has been infringed. I want to thank all of you for being here today, and I want to thank our federal partners, U.S. Postal Service, Office of Inspector General, and Homeland Security Investigations for their tremendous work in this case. This Justice Department and our law enforcement partners will never stop working to secure American democracy and the integrity of our elections. I will now turn the time over to Matthew Mill Holland with HSI.

Thank you. Good afternoon. My name is Matthew Milholland. I'm the deputy head of Homeland Security Investigations. Today's announcement follows a recent case in Utah involving allegations that hundreds of mail-in ballots and trusted for delivery to register voters run lawfully discarded. Although I cannot elaborate on the investigative details beyond what has already been discussed here today, this matter underscores a very important point. Homeland Security Investigations is one of the primary investigative agencies

tasked to root out any allegation of criminal conduct that may affect election integrity, lawful voting access, citizenship, identity, or other, official processes. HSI conducts coordinated criminal investigative efforts focused on protecting the integrity of lawful voting processes and addressing related violations of federal law including credible allegations of voter fraud where they arise. HSI has recently generated more than 600 voter fraud cases leading to more than 160 recent arrests. This effort brings together HSI, the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney's Offices across the country, CIS, and our federal, state, and local partners to ensure credible allegations are examined

thoroughly, lawfully, and based on evidence. HSI investigates alleged violations of federal criminal law within our authorities. Our special agents follow the facts and the evidence wherever they lead. These investigations may involve allegations affecting lawful voting processes including mail-in ballot-related offenses, unlawful voting or voter registration, false claims of U.S. citizenship, document and identity fraud, immigration fraud, and other criminal activity.

Each matter is evaluated individually based on the facts, the evidence, and the applicable law. Our responsibility is to investigate alleged criminal activity that may undermine the integrity of lawful voting and other official processes. When credible information indicates our laws may have been deliberately violated, we have a responsibility to follow the evidence. Partnership is critical to this mission. HSI works closely with our partners to combine authorities, expertise, and investigative capabilities. When an investigation develops evidence supporting potential prosecution, we present those findings to the appropriate prosecutors for their independent review and charging decision.

The broader scope of this election integrity initiative is about enforcing federal law, protecting lawful voting, and other official processes from criminal exploitation. HSI will continue to follow the evidence, use our lawful authorities, and work shoulder to shoulder with our partners across government. We thank the Department of Justice, the U.S. Attorney's Offices across the country, U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General, and our other federal, state, and local partners for their continued coordination and commitment to this mission. Most of all, I'd like to thank the men and women of HSI who carry out this mission every day with professionalism, with integrity, and with respect for the rule of law. Thank you.

Next up is my colleague from the U.S. Postal Service. Thank you. I'm Bob Qualwasser, Assistant Inspector General for Investigations for the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General. I want to thank our partners in the Justice Department, the Deputy Attorney General, U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Utah for today's indictment and arrest. Protecting the integrity of the Postal Service is central to our mission. And partnerships with the U.S. Attorney's Office, HSI, and our other federal partners are critical to ensuring the postal employees who violate their duty to safeguard the mail are held accountable. The Office of Inspector General takes all reports of mail dumping seriously. We've had over 100 allegations of mail dumping this year involving election mail and election matter.

We've investigated over 35 cases. Those who compromise the sanctity of the mail not only break the law, they undermine public trust. We will continue to investigate these cases aggressively. Also, between now and election day, our auditors and special agents will be out in the field visiting hundreds of postal facilities to ensure compliance and to protect the integrity of election mail. Thank you. It's like a couple questions. Jake.

Do you have anything specific about the motive here? You know why this person was doing what they were doing? Do there have any statements or any investigation? So here what we do know is that when he started his shift, he immediately took the ballots

and set them aside. He did not deliver a single one. He has indicated that he did not have a political agenda, but he did discard those within an hour and a half of starting his shift. Well, we know what he said, but we do know his actions on that day, which were setting aside the mail and setting aside the ballots and not delivering any of them. Yeah, the investigation is still ongoing. I think it's a fair question, but ultimately, in a way, it probably doesn't matter. If I said it was 300 Democrat ballots, would people react differently than if I said it was 300 Republican ballots?

Like, he knew they were ballots, clearly marked his ballots, so it's not like he accidentally threw some away. Brittany. Oh, thank you. Just a question, how did you find the balance in the dumpster? Was it any other mail discarded with it or was only the ballots? We did not find it because it was discovered much later after it was investigated. And was it only ballots? No, he indicated that he discarded other mail as well.

Obviously you guys can't comment on other pending investigations, but this is just one example of something that I could imagine could be happening in other states. Is there are any other federal partners that you're working with right now on other types of, you know, actions related to ballot disposals, things like that you can say to us on, you know, obviously more of a, you know, broader context? Well, obviously the Office of the Inspector General

for the Postal Service is the primary investigator of mail-in ballots. We work with HSI every day, every hour of every day on various election integrity issues, including the illegal voting cases I mentioned before. So there's 70 that we've charged But again, there's hundreds of others that were actively investigating thousands that have been referred, almost on all those HSIs are partnering investigative agency.

Kecky. Yeah, Alex Mouth, ABC News. The numbers you're talking about here, 70 since the start of the Trump administration, I mean, 150 million people voted in the 2024 election. That would be 0.000-0-0-04 percent of that entire voting base. I'm just wondering, does this speak to you, like I said, some of the president. allies have said that the vote by mail and other potential fraud constitutes a national emergency for the upcoming midterms.

Well, we just thought about 300 ballots right there, but also remember that these are the cases we've been able to develop so far. There's thousands of more, thousands more in the shoot. And the folks on the other side, the opponents of the president, insist this has never happened, that there is no voting fraud. And so when we have dozens of cases that we brought just in the last few weeks, and we have I think that discourages and defeats their characterization, actually. Yeah, I have two questions about this.

One is, do you know if these people whose ballots were discarded ever got new ballots or were able to vote if they wanted the opportunity? And also, I just pulled the indictment and it shows only the count and there's no other, and I know that's not a requirement to add more, but I'm curious if you can explain if you why there isn't more in the indictment and if you plan to um if the investigation is ongoing or we can see more paper in this case along with the indictment um we have filed a detention memo that provide some of those additional details that um that i have discussed here today and remind me your second question um do you know if of these 300 people um any of them

got were able to vote or if they got replacement ballots or maybe and that we're continuing to investigate and we will be working on reaching out to victims to understand that. But we do know from the county clerk that the voter participation in that particular area was quite low. And the other question as part of the first one was, is this investigation still going? We just saw that one count and obviously there's the detention method, but no other words of any statement. So this case, as we will continue to to work on this case and develop it as we as we prosecute it. That's part of why the Postal Service regulation is so important. is that we'd be able to more closely track all these mail-in ballots

and be able to determine quickly whether some have gone missing, who they've gone to, where they are, that sort of thing. So it's really unfortunate that was blocked by the courts. One more. Mr. Deputy Attorney General, I have a question on, President Donald Trump said recently that if AI gets out of control, that the DOJ will step in and take control of it and limit it. What are some of the examples of what you guys are doing

to prevent AI from going out of control? I mean, we keep an eye on these sorts of things. I don't have any particulars. I'd be able to reveal this time. We have task force to keep an eye on technology and have regular meetings and that sort of thing, but I don't think I could reveal anything in particular. We also work with agencies that deal a lot with AI,

Department of War in particular, when we have routine meetings with them, but I don't think I could reveal something beyond that. All right, that's it, thanks. Can you play one? Well, thank you very much. It's an honor. I just want to make a statement that Steve and Jared had a very productive meeting today with mediators of Iran. Really mediators. Let's see what happens with it. It's been mediated for a while. But I think there's a lot of momentum for them to make a deal. It's what we're hearing from everybody. And you heard my speech, I don't have to go through it.

We've knocked him for a look. We don't brag about it, but the economy is in really bad shape. And I hope they're going to do something that's really good for their people. And I think they are, actually. I really do. The other alternatives, not an acceptable alternative for anybody. But it's an honor to be here with some of America's greatest and closest friends, allies and partners to continue our effort toward a safer and more

prosperous Middle East special place and has become more special over the last period of time since I've been in politics. I haven't been in politics too long. I've been speaking not too long, but I've got a lot of great friends sitting around this table. They're amazing people. I would make sure their lives are good. Virtually every nation in this room has been outstanding and they've done amazing things that I want to express my gratitude to each of you for being strong tough partners for investing in the United States of America. You know, we have $21 trillion of investment.

And a good chunk from the people in this room, but 21 trillion, that's a record. No country's ever had that part of its tariffs, but frankly, whatever it takes. But it's been, it's never been anything like it. The record, the old time record is 3 trillion, where now 21 trillion. So it's been incredible.

And really a lot of it, I can name the people. I can tell you how much you each. invested in the United States, so we appreciate it. But the stock markets reached 80 all-time highs since in a year and a half, which is a record also. So I just want to thank all of my friends sitting around the table. We don't have to go through the whole list of names, because we want to talk a little bit about other things.

But I do want to thank also Secretary of State Marco Rubia has been fantastic and the job he's done. Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Besant. Scott, thank you very much. Secretary, oh, special envoy, Steve Wickcom, very powerful man. I call him Henry Kissinger, Jr., but he doesn't think. There's a big difference, Henry Leakton in a bit. He looked like a civil ambassador to the United Nations.

Somebody's really done a great job. Mike Walsh, who are you, Mike? Good job, Mike. Jared Kushner, who's between Steve and Jared, we have two very smart people and are doing a job, doing a job and I think they're going to get this thing ended. I have a lot of respect on both sides. They respect them. The Iranians respect them both very much and I think it's important.

But I think we're going to get it done. And CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, Ben Black, thank you, Ben. That's great, Ben. Good job you're doing. So exactly one year ago, many of our nations, many here in the sidelines of the United Nations to discuss how we could end the budget. bloody war in Gaza and almost the same faces were here, including my friend right over here from Turkey, he's a tough cookie, I'll mess around with him.

I hope they translate this right. I hope we have a good translator, but he's fantastic. He's a fantastic guy, right? My friend. And the war was raging with no end inside Gaza, just no end in sight because of the progress we made that day. This was the same group of people, essentially. We reached a historic peace deal just a few weeks later, saving hundreds of thousands of lives. And would you help? UN Security Council unanimously improved the 20-point Gaza peace plan. We jointly developed creating the Board of

Peace, which is fantastic. And I want to thank the nations, most of the nations around the table. They invested billions of dollars in bringing back Gaza and helping Gaza, helping the people, really to help the people more than anything else, helping the people of Gaza. And it's been pretty amazing. We also got back all of the hostages, 100% of them, both living and dead. That we did. Both living and dead, we got them all back. And people dancing, nobody thought it was possible. The people around this table made that possible. This year, many of us have also been in close contact as we sought to address the other long-standing challenge in the Middle East, and that's the Iranian regime's pursuit of a nuclear weapon and a nuclear bomb,

and we're not going to let that happen. It's already ended. That aspect of it, in my opinion, has already ended. And the Operation Epic Fury crippled Iran's Navy. It eliminated it, actually. They have 159 ships. Every one of them is right now at the bottom of the sea. Eliminated its Air Force.

They have no planes. It over 90% of its weapons factories and destroyed 450 ballistic missile storage facilities and 800 drone storage facilities. They still have some, but not very much. We annihilated its air defense systems. They can out almost completely decimated. It's terrorist leadership and destroyed its economy. The economy right now, they're over 300% inflation.

and their money is valueless. So now it's part of Operation Economic Outcast, and you look at that, and Scott, Dustin's done a great job with all of you. We're completely isolating a rent financially, and we're just putting the pressure on because hopefully they'll do the right thing fast before it's too late.

You know, it's going to be a time when it's too late, and we won't have a chance of letting them survive as a nation who would like to see. I can tell you the people around this table would like to see it. Some people are surprised to hear that, but they would like to see it. As you know, the U.S. Navy is cleared Iranian mines out of the way in channels. They're almost straight, and we're now facilitating the renewed flow of oil. We recently announced we have escorted more than 1 billion barrels of oil out of the Gulf.

That's not a lot to Tamim, but it's a lot to most people. One billion barrels is a lot of oil, right? no matter how you figure it. But we recently announced that we've escorted, again, more than one billion barrels of oil out, just in the recent period of time. And we're taking out 25 to 30 ships a night, sometimes during the day, but a lot of it's during the night.

The blockade is the strongest thing that anyone's ever said. We call it a wall of steel, and our Navy is amazing. Our military is amazing. It's amazing. And we now have more oil flowing through the straight, been at any point by far since the conflict began. And again, a big portion of what we've done,

maybe 99% of it is to make sure that Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapon. Those sites have been blown up. We may have to blow up another one, Pickax Mountain. We're not seeing a lot of activity there, but if we do, we'll blow it up immediately. While this is all excellent rules, Iran's terrorist attacks on commercial shipping and neighboring countries have shown the need to shift Middle East energy infrastructure away from the Iranian checkpoints. That's why my administration strongly supports the India, Middle East, Europe economic

corridor and other places of the form of getting oil out, whether it's pipelines or anything else. And together we're at the verge of overcoming challenges that have plagued this region for decades, this has gone on for decades. So they called around the... bully of the Middle East for 51 years. I was saying 47, but I've been saying it for four years. So the real number is 51 years. And they're really not the bully anymore. They can create problems, but they're not the bully anymore. But they were the bully of the Middle East.

And everybody was very concerned, in a way, afraid. Maybe rightfully so. But they're not afraid. any oil that we continue to stand together we are all together very much united we're with them 100% and we'll create a future for this region and the world that is brighter than ever before it's a region which probably has maybe the most potential of any region anywhere in the world and it's not just the oil it's the mines it's the brilliance it's a genius i know these people they're brilliant people high energy maybe sometimes too high energy right we can use the brilliance little bit lower energy on occasion. That would be pretty good.

But they're brilliant people and they're great people and they're my friends and they're doing a fantastic job. So we think that the situation with Iran could end right after the midterm elections and maybe before, I don't know, you never know. But they don't understand what they really don't is that I won the election in a landslide. I won all seven swing states.

I won by millions of votes, the popular vote. I won the counties by 86%, which never happened before. It's the highest ever than the electoral college by a lot, by a tremendous amount. And I'm not running. Other people are running. Other Republicans are running. They're great people, and I'll help them get elected,

but I'm not running. And I don't think about the election at all when I think about ending the nuclear threat. for Moran. I just think about ending the nuclear threat for Moran. And that's all I do. I think about that. And it has nothing to do with the election. If we do well, we should do well because there's never been a time like it in the United States. There's never been any time like it. A man that happens to be sitting at this table right now said that a couple of years ago said that a year ago your nation sir was dead. And now you have the

hottest nation anywhere in the world. We do with the hottest in the world. We're the best military, the strongest military. And we use it to help our friends. And these are great friends. So we're going to get rid of the Arendha. I think that they'll do something maybe after the war. I think it's going to go quickly.

Look, it's going to go one way or the other. It's either going to make a deal or it's going to end very, very quickly. It'll end very so quickly your head will spin. So I just want to thank everybody for being here, very special. I had a good time making a nice speech today. I've gotten actually very good marks.

They gave me good marks. I don't know what that means. That's, hello, Mr. Prime Minister. How are you? They think good. Look at you people. It's amazing. I've gotten to know these people.

And I'm here because, and I'll tell you what, I'm here largely because I know how good they are. They're great. So thank you all very much and we appreciate it. And thank you to the media. Media has been very respectful. It's been very, very respectful. We appreciate it very much.
