Badlands Media - Devolution Power Hour Ep. 491: The $5,000 Tariff Dividend Pitch

Episode Date: September 10, 2026

Jon Herold and Burning Bright work through the news of Trump floating a five thousand dollar per adult tariff dividend tied to Republicans keeping the House, and dig into the interview clips defending... it against the obvious bankrupting the country criticisms. They also chase down a chapter eleven reference from a viewer that turns into a bit of a scavenger hunt through the clip archive. There's a mix of lighter material too, including a photo ID mix up joke involving two cabinet officials and an Elon Musk clip revisited for context, before things circle back to bigger picture debt and deficit numbers and what thirty years of compounding debt actually looks like on paper. As always, the hosts bounce between playing clips, cracking jokes, and genuinely trying to work out whether the economic case being made actually holds up.

Starting point is 00:00:00 The Badlands, what are the Badlands? Explain those Badlands. That's a hell of a name. Well, good evening, everybody. And welcome to the Wednesday edition of the Devolution Power Hour. As always, and unfortunately, I am joined by Burning Bright. Burning Bright, how are you doing? Feeling pretty weird.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Are you? Overall. Yeah. A little weird, but that's kind of always been the case. Yeah, I've got some weird nerve shit going on, unrelated possibly to my usual. stuff. What do you mean? Just, I don't know, I like tweaked my neck and now I've got nerve shocks all down my arm. Have you seen a chiropractor? J-Triots going to be in Vegas.
Starting point is 00:00:44 I will have to talk to him if this is still going on. I have dibs. He's owed me like an adjustment for like two years now. So yeah, you can have him after me. But also the Patriots are on right now, which is very bizarre on a Wednesday night. that is a little weird. Are they winning? They are. They're up 10-3. There's been,
Starting point is 00:01:07 there was one touchdown called back by Seattle, but I don't know what the reason was. Drake May's looking good. He's looking like the MVP is in the bag. I don't think, I think the rest of the season's a formality at this point. A.J. Brown, I think, went down already with some sort of ankle injury.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Yeah. It's good for me because I'm playing J.riot, and he has him. So did one, What's his name? The other quarterback. Sam Darnold. He got hurt. Oh, Sam Darnold. Yeah, he went down immediately. Yeah. The real Megama makes a great point here. It's, have you tried not wearing a V-neck and seen if that helps your neck and nerve issues? I wasn't wearing a V-neck today. Oh, damn. May just threw a pick right as I was talking all that, ish.
Starting point is 00:01:53 But yeah, I don't think that's it. I don't know. Just weird, you know, probably just dying in various ways. Yeah, aren't we all? But know what? That's what AI is for. We're going to talk at some point tonight about AI basically making us all immortal or killing us all. It's truly just a coin flip. It's either one or the other.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Either we're all going to live forever because of AI or we're all going to die probably by next week. They might have meant we will live in the afterlife forever once AI kills us and we join the machine. It could be. It just reminds me that Elon Musk clip. where he's like, do I think AI is going to kill us? Probably not. But, you know, at least we'd like to be there if it does because it'd be fun to watch or whatever.
Starting point is 00:02:41 It's like, Jesus, dude. We'll get into that. But we should probably, tonight show, we have some declassified documents. We'll maybe get into it because they're not really new. After some further research from my show this afternoon, I have discovered that those documents have literally been out for six years. we just now know
Starting point is 00:03:01 one of the names that was redacted then is no longer redacted but we already all knew who it was we all knew as Patinka anyway so we'll talk a little bit about that I think we're probably going to start off the show though going through the rapid response Twitter account and listening to Trump's
Starting point is 00:03:16 midterm convention speech because there's some fun stuff we can talk about these super important midterms we can talk a little bit about the media framing of it too oh yeah yeah I don't know we'll see where it goes or we're just sit here and talk about the Patriots Seattle football game.
Starting point is 00:03:32 That's what you'd rather do. I guess it's kind of a boring game, but it's also both good defenses. I thought the New England defense might get carved up a little bit because we have no run defense. But we're doing well, holding the three points, you know, Drew Locke. It is funny the way football works, the way all sports work, because we make excuses for when we lose and we take credit for when we win. and I just know that after this game, if the Patriots win, all the Seattle people are going to be like, well, Sam Darnold went down in the first quarter. Yeah. Except all those same people were like, look how good we are. We can win with Sam Darnold.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Or without Sam Darnold? I mean, like, Sam Darnold is not good at football. I disagree with that. He had the Vikings at like 14 and 3 or something crazy. That's true. They suck now, huh? No, they'll be good this year. probably won't at all. Kyler Murray. Dude.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Hey, you just wait. His ability to scramble, his ability to scramble. Scambling. His ability to scramble is going to give Justin Jefferson so much more time. You just wait and see, man. In the proud tradition of Caucasian quarterbacks, scrambling is a dirty word. Yeah, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:04:45 He's not Caucasian, so. I know, that's what I'm saying. Yeah. I've mostly rooted for Caucasian quarterbacks in the New England era. And we don't scramble. We just win games. We play quarterback. Here's what's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:05:01 It's going to be the Vikings versus the Ravens in the Super Bowl. And the Ravens is my fiance, CC, her favorite team. And so then we're going to have to go to the game. It's going to be awesome. And I think it's in LA too. So that won't be super expensive or anything. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:19 It'll be great. But anyway, how about this? Let's get a quick word from, Soft Disclosure. We have a few sponsors tonight. I'm going to save the Rumble ones for a little bit. And then we'll start going through some of those clips. So softdisclosure.com, we no longer have Randy and the Labor Day ad,
Starting point is 00:05:36 but we do got the Justice ad. This one's great. Court is now in session. Your Honor, the defense calls Mr. Dry Skin, G, Money to the stand. We're going to pretend I didn't hear that. Mr. Dryskin, isn't it true that soft disclosure is proudly made right here in the United States while directly supporting six American small businesses? I reckon?
Starting point is 00:06:03 Isn't it also true that soft disclosure is made with honest natural ingredients without the harsh chemicals so many people are trying to avoid? Unfortunately. And isn't it true it's made with the help of adorable baby goats? Can't argue with the goats. The goat reminds the gallery that Lobstock will conduct themselves appropriately. Bless your flaky little heart, Mr. Dryskin. Your Honor, the defense would like to submit Exhibit A.
Starting point is 00:06:29 Proceed. Cindy H writes, honestly, the best lotion I've ever used. Exhibit A is admitted. Exhibit B. I use it on my face and hands. Get compliments on looking much younger. Mr. Drake, I appreciate your enthusiast. Not greasy at all. Clean feel compared to other lotions.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Vanilla citrus has a nice light scent. Well, that is just showing off. Tyrone, right? I find myself hydrating my elbows and moisturizing my soul a lot more frequently now. The defense rests. Softdisclosure.com. I saw the Seattle scored a little touchdown there. I have Jackson Smith and Jigba or whatever in one of my fantasy leagues.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Not the Badlands host one, but pretty awesome. Sorry for your loss, man. All right. Let's go through the rapid response Twitter account. There's a few. For those who are to know, this is the first time
Starting point is 00:07:37 they've ever done a midterm convention. A lot of the media framing, which has been hilarious to see, is like, they go from one, Trump is trying to make this all about himself. Like, what is he doing here? And then they're going to like,
Starting point is 00:07:53 is Trump like trying to lose the midterms on purpose? Like what's going on? They can't figure out what's happening here. And, And this whole thing, it's like another campaign rally for Trump. It's as if he was actually running for president. So let's play this clip here. If you have anything to add, you can feel free.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Well, just show my screen real quick in terms of before the clips. Oh, hold on. Is this working? This was tonight. But like you said, million of these last couple of days. 15th article in the last 24 hours. Does Trump want Republicans to win the midterms? So it's just interesting framing.
Starting point is 00:08:32 And there was some schizophrenia in the media leading up to it because most of the pieces were that, that was the bent of them like, you know, what's Trump doing? Axios used the word sabotage, is Trump sabotaging the GOP, which sounds a little bit like a bad landish take. But then there was one from Politico today,
Starting point is 00:08:54 quote, they would drag themselves over broken glass to vote for Trump. And this was unnamed, supposedly unnamed GOP senators or unnamed GOP strategists talking about the support that Trump still enjoys in the party that we all know this in the in the in the you know the actual voter base. So it's like the media spent a week saying man, this guy's toxic. He has no mandate. He should stay far away from the midterms. And yet the GOP strategists are like, no, all there is is Trump. We live in Trump. And that's all that matters. So it's and I would say that's how Trump treated it based on what I've seen.
Starting point is 00:09:37 I would agree. Let's let's do I don't even know which border to which border which video to play here because there's these are great. Just think the thing I want you guys to keep in mind and I know I already kind of mentioned this is we already have a majority in Congress. They have done absolute absolutely nothing. to help Trump with what he's doing. And we've talked about many times,
Starting point is 00:10:03 Trump does not need Congress. He's operating on his own without Congress. And he's doing great. We don't give a shit about Congress. Neither does Trump. That's my opinion. But I think there's plenty to back that up. But think of all the amazing things that we can do.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Trump is about to tell you how awesome things are going to be once we finally win the midterms and have that majority that we've always wanted. Two months ago, we came together to celebrate one of the most glorious days in history, the 200, and 50th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence. And in 1776, our founders lit the immortal... He said 17. I don't know if you guys heard that.
Starting point is 00:10:44 That's a decode. Trust the plan. ...of American Liberty in Philadelphia. What a time that was tonight. We gather in the great state of Texas. And by the way, I have to brag. It's a state. I won all three times in massive landslides and got...
Starting point is 00:11:09 and got the highest vote. Got the highest vote in the history of Texas politics. Can you believe that? But we all hold the flame high and carry it boldly forward. We love this state and we love this country. That's all we can say. But what an honor it is to be in Texas. What a place.
Starting point is 00:11:35 What a place. What a place. What a lot. With your support, we will make our nation stronger, safer. richer, freer, and greater than it has ever been before. It's going to be better. That was probably the wrong clip. He goes on to say all the things we're going to do with the majority in Congress.
Starting point is 00:11:54 I think this is the one. I just can't wait to get to the $5,000 dividend one, but we're going to work away through these. We're going to continue to have, we have the strongest borders now. In the history of our country, we've never had anything. We have to have strong borders. We have to continue low taxes. I gave you the biggest tax declares. in the history of our country and no crime.
Starting point is 00:12:16 We want no crime. We don't want crime. We'll have American energy independent, something you know a lot about in Texas, and even we will have energy dominance. We will stand with our heroes in the military, our veterans. We love our veterans and we take care of our veterans. 94 percent. And our great police and law enforcement, we love our police and our police and our police and our police and law enforcement.
Starting point is 00:12:50 And above all, we'll, and I think it's so important because there is a crazy little sick cloud over our country. I really believe it's not going anywhere, but we have to make sure because we will defeat communism in America and vote for American freedom. We will just vote very simply for American freedom. And finally defeat that communism. Yep. We're going to get freedom, defeat communism.
Starting point is 00:13:20 none of which we could do before this, but now it's all coming true. I think this is the Trump dividend one. I'm just skipping ahead. And that's a long video. Why is it? Let's do it. What we're doing is because we've done so well and because our country is making so much money that only I can make this promise to you.
Starting point is 00:13:47 And here is my promise. if the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic, tremendous economic success, like in history, we've never had anything like what's happening. But because of our tremendous strength and success economically, I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000. Okay, so first I like to counteroffer. Since we already have a majority in Congress, let's get 2,500 of that up front. We'll take the other 2,500 after we keep the majority. That's the counteroffer.
Starting point is 00:14:33 But also, like, is this even, are you even allowed to do this? Like, are you allowed to like, like, if I were to run for president and be like, once I win the presidency, as long as I have a full House and Senate majority, I will give everybody $100,000. Like, the number doesn't matter. It's the principal. Like, are you allowed to just? just like pride people with voting?
Starting point is 00:14:54 Well, that's a, that's a slippery slope there because one of the themes we've discussed a lot this whole year is basically the idea that despite controlling Congress throughout Trump's second term, many of his agendas have seemingly been blocked with the help of at least some of the GOP, rendering the majority somewhat moot. And one way of looking at something like that, I mean, maybe it's just a Trump memetic, it's just some random narrative deployment or whatever. But it's a pretty like direct thing to say. I'm going to give everybody a $5,000 dividend. Is he, is he, if the Republicans do have Congress, does he get to lord that over them when they try to block it? Or is it just, you know, another thing if the so-called left wins, we're told wins the midterms? is you get to lord that over them and say, look it, I was going to give everybody $5,000 until those dastardly Democrats get in there, got in there.
Starting point is 00:15:56 But I like to think of it from the GOP framing and think this whole year, a lot of times on the show I've been saying in the context of the Iran war, I keep looking for the GOP to more directly step out on the ledge against Trump. And it really feels like they've been tiptoeing, they've been scared, they've been unnamed. Some of them are kind of going out of. onto the ledge by not, basically by not addressing this convention because they feel like it's beneath them, because Trump has made it such a big deal. So, you know, if we've gamed all these scenarios out, but if the GOP, we are told, wins the midterms, then I don't think Trump's
Starting point is 00:16:36 posture toward Congress is going to change at all. In fact, I think it's going to accelerate. And that would be kind of a funny way to accelerate that. If we're told, hey, we need the GOP, in there. Everything's going to be great. These are all the things that are going to do for you. And then the GOP's like, we actually are not going to do that because, you know, X, Y and Z reason. Yeah, we've talked about this before. It might have been on a Wednesday power hour. But like, that to me is game theory wise makes the most sense. If you believe in the Uniparty, which I think a lot of people say they do, operate like they do. I certainly do. If you're the Uniparty, up to this point, you've had to like rely on Trump and pretend that you,
Starting point is 00:17:18 support him, you need his endorsement for whatever reason. You need to play along with what Trump is doing. But if there was ever a time to like, okay, well, now's the time we are going to actually utilize the Uniparty and turn on Trump, it would be after the midterms. Because then after that, you don't need him anymore. They think. And they can get rid of them. Like, look what happened after the 2020 election. How many people after the violent, very violent and super real insurrection, turned on Trump, the people that we were told and that they told their. supporters like, yeah, I'm going to go up there and I'm going to vote for a new slate of electors or whatever the vote was going to be about. And how many of them instantly flipped a switch,
Starting point is 00:17:56 they had the permission finally to like turn on Trump. They finally had the permission they needed. And they did so. I wonder if we're going to see situations like that, whatever happens after these dastardly midterms. But I don't know. You know, and I mean, again, there's so many scenarios, but I do firmly believe that many of the scenarios, many of the ways that you game out the midterms. from an actual or from a narrative, I think that Trump is targeting the GOP narratively. It's not because I think he's a fan of the Democrats. It's like I've said on the show before. I think that the cultural damage is largely done. The mandate damage is largely done to the so-called
Starting point is 00:18:38 the Democrat brand. Even the Democrats are admitting that because, as we've also talked about, especially June, July, and August, they've got this intrapartisan. civil war that they're even acknowledging that is not really happening on the so-called right. You've got the Republicans, you've got MAGA, but it's not quite as amped up as it was a couple of years ago when there was a real split there. I don't know. I think of the massy stuff and the... Yeah, I guess I just feel like it's a little played out, but that might just be I'm biased,
Starting point is 00:19:09 not paying as much attention to it. In terms of national news stories, like in terms of what the political sphere is focusing on, they seem to be focusing more on the left versus left of it all. Really? I don't see that like because all I see, especially on social media is like the stupid fabricated infighting amongst the mega flu influencers. I think that shows the silos, right? Like social media, you might be right. And then the actual narrative deployments of the media like articles and features in Politico and Axios like the professional propagandists are focused in one direction.
Starting point is 00:19:47 But the social media sphere, to your point, probably is largely dominated by real MAGA and fake MAGA all fighting with each other. Well, isn't the mainstream, the mainstream media has been like doing a whole bunch of articles. Again, this is just what I've seen. But it's all about how like it's going to be a blue wave. Like, that's, they're focusing more on that right. Pretty much. To me, than the, there was a period of time like two months ago probably before some of the primaries where they were like talking about the DSA stuff and that split. Since then, they moved on to like, at least what I've seen.
Starting point is 00:20:20 Yeah. To now they're in the midterm cycle. Yeah. And so now it's all blue wave. Yeah. Anti-Trump. But anyway, sorry, keep going. There was a few, like, they hedge their bets and say, are there any scenarios in which the GOP could stage an upset?
Starting point is 00:20:35 Trump addressed that at one point in the speech where he was just broadly talking about the, whatever the statistics were of the, uh, how incumbent presidents they lose, you know, their party tends to lose in the midterms. And he was saying, we got to stop that string. We're going to break that string at some point. So, you know, that was another little marker of where he's basically saying, I took it to mean we have all these so-called rules and statistics that the sort of political cycle conditions us to accept as normal. People were talking about this in 2025, six months into Trump's term, where any Politico, anybody like that, right, left, or in between, is like, well, you know, he'll probably lose the midterms. And this was before we were told his agenda was unpopular.
Starting point is 00:21:25 So Trump, I think, was referencing some of that and saying, hey, you should also be careful that you don't fall into these siops of just assuming that we lost the midterms because everybody has been saying for two years, obviously we're going to lose the midterms because those are the rules. But the last point on the GOP is just, okay. Of him saying that we could play. But we'll get on to that. When I'm on the ticket, Republicans always do very well. We won the presidency three times. And we won't. By the way, now you notice numerous people on the other side are actually admitting it.
Starting point is 00:22:06 How about that? But this was a cool way of doing it. But we won it big, and we also won everything else because, you know, whatever it is, I was on the ticket, people came and they did tremendous. with the senators and with the congressman. But for some reason, when a president wins, even if he's really a good president or a great president, there aren't too many of them,
Starting point is 00:22:29 they don't win the midterms. And nobody quite knows why. It's two out of, think of it, two out of 25 races. We're going to change that. There's no reason for it. There's no reason for it. But we'll get on. Anyway, continue.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Yeah. So my last point of the GOP is just, just if, you know, if the so-called left were told wins the midterms, that's one way where Trump could ironically focus fire on the GOP because to your point about baiting them or seeing if they're going to turn, they would probably turn in that scenario, right? Like if we get this blue wave scenario, the right is going to turn on Trump, the institutional right. They're all going to come out and say it was his fault. He should have, you know, his agenda is not popular.
Starting point is 00:23:24 We were telling him not to do Iran. We were telling him not to do this and that. We were telling him to stay away from us during the midterms. Like literally, that's all the features we've been reading for the last few weeks is all these unnamed GOP guys, right? So the blue wave could present an opportunity for Trump to basically get the GOP to separate themselves from him. But even in a quote unquote red wave scenario or the GOP maintaining control, maybe that $5,000 dividend is just one of the examples of things Trump can do to dial up the pattern that we've already noted throughout the first two years, which is that Trump is governing, he's forwarding his agenda, but he's largely doing it through executive order, decrees, and basically finding any constitutional avenue that he can. to go around Congress and maybe he'll just dial that up in the last two years of the term to make it clear there's a there's a line of demarcation between him and the GOP yeah uh exposing election fraud would
Starting point is 00:24:29 probably all also do that showing that like none of them are legitimate that'd be that be cool too um i want to finish this clip that we had going where i put that here we go this is the rest of that $5,000 bribe to vote for Republicans. Very much like a successful company will do a cash distribution to its shareholders or like last year when I gave our great
Starting point is 00:25:07 members of the military 1776, remember? Just at 17 again, guys. Just for those not paying attention, there's another opportunity for a decode, so hold on to your seats. I guess. Gave it to our military, $1,776.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Can you believe the number was $1775? And I said, you know, if we had $1, we're at 1776. Can you? I said, did anybody think of that? No. But we gave our great military $17676. And they are thrilled. Every time I see them, they thank me.
Starting point is 00:25:47 But this is what we're doing. And it was greatly appreciated, just like I did with the Trump accounts for children, where young people, children, and many of them born into poverty or families with very little money or future, will be potentially rich when they turn 18 or 21. Think of it. Their family won't have much money, but the government is putting $1,000 into an account for beautiful babies born. But in many cases, they're born into poverty. They're born poor. They're born not rich, but they get $1,000. and we do matching funds and all sorts of things. And Michael and Susan Dell, he put up.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Okay, that's enough of this. When you say Susan Dell, I have to turn it off because she does not look like a Susan. It's more like a Sean or something. That lady is hideous. But yeah, that's just ridiculous to me. I obviously would take $5,000. That sounds amazing.
Starting point is 00:26:50 I love money. But also, I'm not like, that's not. doesn't seem like the greatest idea either. I don't know. It's just so it's also I don't know how I feel about this. I really don't. I'm having fun with it, not because I'm trying to analyze it in great detail. I think it's actually my main takeaway. You know, Chris and Ash, we're having some good, you know, back and forth on it in the chat earlier tonight. I'm sure he'll have some good stuff to say on Saturday. But to me, it's partly the demeanor of Trump is the story sometimes. And he certainly doesn't have a negative demeanor here. And yeah, he says go out and vote in the midterms. But I've said for a long time in various contexts, uh, some of the topics we discuss anytime it seems stressful or, you know, we're told such and such thing is the biggest deal in the world and all important. What does Trump's demeanor say
Starting point is 00:27:49 about that thing? And yeah, his words are saying, go vote in the midterms. If the GOP doesn't win. We're not going to have a country anymore. We've heard this for 10 years in every election from Trump, even the ones he lost, whether that's midterms or actual elections, presidential elections, didn't lose the country. So, you know, it just feels like it was a bit of a comedy hour sort of thing where he's screwing around. He seems to be talking about, in my opinion, the demeanor was that he's talking about the midterms. He's talking about the people he needs to talk about as sort of obligations. Like he's got to hit these markers.
Starting point is 00:28:30 But otherwise, it didn't feel like that's what he was there to discuss. And it really just made me think of continuity of government, devolution, and what the actual plan is, again, going back to the idea that Trump has basically been governing as commander in chief as the, what is it, unitary executive theory or whatever it is. It feels like that's what he's doing. He's doing this pit stop. He's making sure that the midterms are about him and that you can't get away, as we discussed at the very beginning of the show. All sides of the game board are acknowledging that there is no getting away from the center of gravity that is Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:29:10 There's no GOP senators making their names. There's no Democrats making their names. It is Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump. And when he's there, he's saying, these are all the things I've been doing. for the last two years. And I'm going to keep doing these things for the next two years. So that's kind of my takeaway. It's I don't think he gives a crap about the midterms,
Starting point is 00:29:31 even though he apparently has to say they're very important. Yeah. You know, the way he's just so good about making the lightning rod, as Chris Paul would say, making everything about himself. And one way that you can definitely get the mainstream media to talk about this, because they probably weren't, they're probably going to shit all over this, right? like oh Trump doing another like campaign rally all this stuff now they're going to have to spend the next couple days if not weeks talking about how Trump is trying to bribe everybody with five
Starting point is 00:29:58 thousand dollars and i think that's a funny headline because people are going to that's going to make it around it's a great troll because at the end of the day i have a hard time believing that it's actually going to happen it'd be great if it did but uh i just i'm so skeptical but it is a great way to get people to like talk about trump again and and did he mention a single race or anything at this thing tonight because I did not have a chance my son had football tonight and uh he talked about Ken Paxton in particular um but any other races not that I can think of but I didn't finish it I watched more than half of it but yeah if anybody in chat knows go ahead interesting because it was the first ever like midterm convention or whatever
Starting point is 00:30:42 did it actually line up with how they do things at the other convention like the normal convention where they elect the candidates and all that stuff? I don't think so. I mean, from what I saw, it was just Trump getting up there to riff and do a comedy hour. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:31:00 I think he was the only, was he the only speaker? Trump, no, I did see that. I saw Anna Ply and Luna got up there and, you know, she chose what she thought would be the most viral social media posts and she rallied against members of Congress
Starting point is 00:31:15 should not be allowed to trade stocks. no more insider trading she was involved also in the very widespread uh i op today so was she what she was calling for uh she was calling for controls i can find the article i have it for when we get to that section yeah thank you um yeah i saw something i thought it's funny because i'm pretty sure an you know, Luna's husband does like trading or something. I can be wrong. I'm going to look at something. Is Anna Polino Luna's husband?
Starting point is 00:31:54 And what does he do? It's really funny if she comes out like railing against inside her trading and he's like, what does he do now? Public accounts differ. There's no publicly verified any civilian job for him. That's weird. Okay, well, never mind that.
Starting point is 00:32:19 There was another clip I was going to play, if I can find it here from tonight's speech. And did you have any specific clips that you want to play? Otherwise, no, I think you hit the ones, basically. He said a few times, or at least once, he said, pretend I'm running, pretend I'm on the ballot, that sort of thing. He made a bunch of asides in the first 20 minutes about his asses. assistants and analysts when it comes to his speeches and how he doesn't listen to them. And he basically was basically commenting on how all the people around him that purport to tell him what to say and what's important, never actually know what's important or what he should
Starting point is 00:33:08 actually say. So he just ignores them usually, which I thought was kind of notable because even just in the context of him talking about the midterms and how serious it is. Yeah, he was talking. So, Raw Shark, I didn't see this part, but he said he also talked about his weaves, which, you know, he does that from time to time. But yeah, he was talking about his, I think he called them analysts. But yeah, he's like, oh, they always tell me one of his sides. They always tell me, don't say this, sir.
Starting point is 00:33:39 It'll be bad for you, sir. It'll be bad for the messaging. And I don't listen to them. I'm trying to find, I mean, it's all so fresh. It's hard to see. Yeah, it was toward the beginning. It was like in the first 20 minutes or so. Wait here.
Starting point is 00:33:52 If this is a transcript, we might be in luck. There ain't no transcript yet. Okay, well, let me look at this up. Trump, midterm. Somebody's pointing something out about the two Scots and photo ID, and I think that's funny. Photo ID. See if I can find this clip. Trump promises he will slash out of it.
Starting point is 00:34:16 control credit card swipe fees. What? Just get rid of all the fees. Maybe this is the clip. I'm going to keep looking, but let's check this out. Sorry, guys, this thing was just finishing up while we were going live, so not everything is as smooth as we would want this here. They voted against no tax on tip.
Starting point is 00:34:43 This is every single one. It's incredible that Congress the Senate, the House that they were able to get this past they voted against no tax they voted against no tax on overtime
Starting point is 00:34:58 they voted against 100% no tax Okay I found the better one This is the one that he said and this is hilarious It's so funny Listen to this We want voter ID voter identification
Starting point is 00:35:12 Ideally Ideally Ideally We want it with a the photo so that when I see Tim Scott, who made a great speech tonight, by the way, I watch it. Senator Tim Scott, South Carolina. So when he speaks, I won't get him mixed up with, let's see who's over there, with Scott Bessent. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:39 I want a photo ID so Tim and Scott don't get mixed up. we want super funny because one's black and the other one's gay and you can never mix those two up I don't know man maybe you're just too racist could be my problem it could be I'm trying to find another clip here somebody said something about find the one on chapter 11 I don't know I'm not seeing it just search the word chapter
Starting point is 00:36:14 I did and it didn't yield any results. So, okay, well, whatever. We can move on from the midterm stuff, unless any of you guys have some good clips that you want to play for. It's tomorrow's day two. And I was talking about my show today. It's funny, like,
Starting point is 00:36:32 the last minute changed the speaking lineup from day two. Trump wasn't originally supposed to be the headliner for day two. I don't think he was going to originally talk at all. It was supposed to be J.D. Vance's night. So, like, wrap up the whole thing. He still might be the last speaker, but Trump is going to speak again. tomorrow and totally steal his thunder.
Starting point is 00:36:51 So even if they want to make it about J.D. Vance and set the table for him, they can't do it because Trump is just going to rain all over that parade. My honest feeling on this, and I don't know what we're going to be told is happening on the back of the midterms. I haven't changed my views on all the things we talk about of elections being fake, et cetera, et cetera. But what is Trump doing?
Starting point is 00:37:16 what is this all about? I really think it's partly a humiliation ritual. And I don't think it's humiliation ritual on the American people, although, you know, I'm fine with some people thinking that the midterms. I think the elections are right now. But what is Trump doing? To me, it has this feeling of just like we've been saying all year, Trump is governing essentially de facto as a king, as much as you can, until the two other
Starting point is 00:37:46 co-equal branches keep trying to stop him at every turn, including the one we supposedly control. Just like that is true, it is also true that in keeping with what you and I talked about in 2024, hibernation theory, the enemy system is still attempting to continue on, right? Not only are they attempting to survive. They're attempting to kind of just act like not everything has changed. And what I mean by that is all the articles were referencing, like the gravitational pull of Trump and how it's Trump's party and he can't get out of the way and everything. I think that's what he's doing. I think that Trump is at war with the political establishment, which includes the GOP, it includes the election apparatus, it includes all of it. And I see this whole thing as essentially Trump subjecting the process itself to a humiliation ritual.
Starting point is 00:38:43 and kind of coming out and saying, I know that you motherfuckers want the next eight weeks to be midterm, midterm, midterm, midterm, just like all year, everybody on the right left and in between who fancies themselves a pundit has been talking about the midterms. But I'm here to remind all of you
Starting point is 00:39:05 that the only thing that matters is me and the only thing that matters is me. The reason the only thing that matters me is because I have the mandate of the American people. And that's all that matters. And it just feels like he's not letting them do their campaigning. He's not letting them do their whole pageantry and their process and all the stuff they want to do and their serious polling. By the way, earlier today, I think it's Brandon Carr of the FCC, put out a statement saying that we're going to start going after fake polls. Now, how is he going to do that? He didn't say. But he's basically threatening
Starting point is 00:39:40 in the eight weeks leading up to the midterms. He's like, threatening media apparatus and saying if you guys start doing your shit with your polls we're going to start opening investigations into you well that's funny because the only way you can like go after fake polls is if you know what the real polls are like yeah i mean i don't know i don't know if there's any truth to to that it's just in terms of what he's going if he's actually going to act on any of this it just it has a feeling to me of like we're we're just going to drown out your midterm drama and replace every headline that would have been about the GOP versus the Democrats at the midterms with Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.
Starting point is 00:40:22 And the media that hates Trump is falling into that trap because all of their headlines this week are about Donald Trump, right? The same people who are complaining, by the way, that he's too in the way are writing about how he's too in the way. And, you know, that's a very, it's just a very macro take, like it doesn't have anything to with the midterms. I just think Trump is putting himself front and center and saying come December 1st, nobody's going to give a shit what happened three weeks before. And I will still be the damn president. So good luck. Yeah. It's just so funny. These people, it's always about
Starting point is 00:41:02 Trump though. Like that they say like what you just said there about how they're making it all about Trump while trying to say like it's not about Trump, you know, it's always about Trump always all the time. Yeah, everything is Trump. Everything is Trump. It is only Trump. Yeah. And so, of course, like, this election, the last election, every election, whatever you want to call them, they're always about Trump. And I'm just, I'm curious to say the least. We've been kind of like dreading almost this period of time in a couple months before the midterms because there's so many douchebags out there that, you know, try to virtue signal about how hard they vote and how important is to vote and all those things. On the, the, the heels of talking about all this election fraud and how, you know, they will continue to virtue signal over every topic, even when they contradict themselves. And I do think that is ridiculous. I do not think you should be, I think you should be called out if you go from talking about how fraudulent our elections are and how fraudulent the system is and all these things and then continue to, you know, push the participation in that system. Like, I think those two
Starting point is 00:42:05 things do contradict themselves a little bit. Yeah. But we're going to get more of that. I was kind of dreading this period of time because of that. But now I'm like, seeing how things are starting this you know Trump is is doing the campaign rally stuff he's kind of leaning in this period of time before the midterms is going to be spicy to say the least and it's going to be it i think it's going to be hilarious so i am excited let me propose a different theory too that's kind of inspired by what you just said and what ash was saying earlier tonight in chat she was talking about um you know she always talks about transformation programs change programs and I think it's interesting when she layers that over, you know, Trump from a Trump and the Patriots from a macro perspective, like the biggest change event you can think of.
Starting point is 00:42:48 And, you know, her framing of it is a little bit different than a lot of ours because we talk about these things from like a macro level. You talk about these things from an executive order level, continuity of government, et cetera. She talks about it from like a corporate change management level, which is sequential. It's like that this is how you would order these things. these are the departments you would go after. This is how long it usually takes and applying that to a national framework. For the sake of argument, it's worth considering, well, we've been wondering for years, like, when's he going to rip the Band-Aid off? When is he going to expose election fraud if we think he just could at any time?
Starting point is 00:43:28 And one thing that we have often deferred to is, or defaulted to, is, oh, it has something to do with public mandate. It has something to do with when are the people ready, et cetera. And we've always acknowledged we might be wrong about that, right? Because we're kind of frustrated at it. It doesn't seem like more normies are dooming out on elections than before. I think more people are excited to vote than ever. So if you take Ashes framing of this and you think there is a timeline on the change management program, on the transformation program that Trump is implementing now in office.
Starting point is 00:44:06 Is it better for the people doing actual things in the Trump administration if the machine is allowed to continue playing their games that ultimately don't affect that transformation program as it is going on? In other words, if you're, if you've got whatever the timeline is on the financial stuff, on the Iran war stuff, on the global energy stuff, whatever it is, we've got regime changes in Venezuela, Pax Americana, we have a trade war. with Canada right now. Are there a certain number of actuals that Trump is like, I don't care what you guys do over in your little playpen corner and, you know, taking Chris's analogy of Biden and applying that to the entire Congress and election system? They're just saying, guys, we literally are governing as if you don't exist now. So we're just going to keep doing the transformation program until we get to a stage where we feel
Starting point is 00:45:04 like you can't undo any of it. And then we reveal, we come and fix the last part of it, which is elections. You know, because I guess the argument would be, well, why would they do that? Why would they wait? And I would say, well, maybe they don't want that fight right now. Maybe they think, if all these people think that they're earnestly campaigning for midterms that actually matter in a 2028 election cycle that actually matters, they're not focusing their fire on stopping the actual agenda that's being implemented. Yeah, I mean, that, I like it. I also hate it at the same time.
Starting point is 00:45:43 And this is the same debate we have with like Alpha or whoever when it's like, okay, I get that. Yeah, I understand the game theory behind it. And that very well could be what's happening. The reason I hate it is because there are actual damages that are being done. I think people are people that were like earnestly and honestly like, they're wanting to to get involved, they would do whatever for Trump. They're checking out because of how things are playing out like this.
Starting point is 00:46:08 And I totally get why. Yeah, but is that because of, I guess, I guess my, this argument would posit that the transformation program itself is what is causing the damages. And Trump and team are well aware of that and knew that that was going to be the case. You know, in other words, it's not because we have fake elections that we are experiencing $4 gas. it's because Trump is implementing a change program, transformation program, that was going to do this no matter what. And, you know, I've kind of remarked in some private conversations and a little bit on my show that Trump has a posture this year, that the only thing that has surprised me a little bit about his posture is to your point, even when he's addressing dooming in his own base, he has a warlike posture about it right now.
Starting point is 00:47:01 And it's basically saying, like, I don't care. You know, and I mean, I'm not saying that that's good. But I think that he is clearly moving forward with a posture of like, I'm implementing an agenda. And nothing is going to stop that agenda I'm implementing, including my own base, not being happy with it. And, you know, I'm just making the argument that he might just be applying that to the entire election infrastructure and just saying like, yep, I know it's a problem.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Doesn't matter right now. we're doing much more important things. And then we'll address that when we need to in the meantime, they can keep pretending that they're having real elections. Do you think Trump is actually implementing the full scale of his agenda as he would like it? Like, do you think, because you said, I'm just going to keep implementing my agenda. And I do think he's doing some things. Like, there are certain aspects of what he can do and is doing outside of the purview of Congress.
Starting point is 00:47:54 And he's rolling with it. But there are some things that I think eventually we do need a legitimate. election system which gets us legitimately elected people if any of that is even possible to codify some of this stuff otherwise it does run I mean if everything's just executive action and we do get to a point and again guys I brought the devolution theory I do think there's something bigger going on and I do believe Trump is going to run again in 2028 but hypothetically speaking since that's the game we're playing if there gets to a point where Trump is no longer there then the next president like if we continue to operate as if elections are real and there's ever
Starting point is 00:48:24 a period where Trump is not there how do we know they're just not going to wipe it all the way again Yeah. I mean, I don't have the answer to it. I just, this is why a lot of what I focus on is geopolitics as it relates to Trump, because I was having this conversation with my wife earlier today regarding Canada. As an example, I think that Trump could destroy the Canadian economy today. like if you do the math he could pretty much turn it off and win right like we wouldn't suffer almost at all and that country is is done they their entire it's like the age old analogy of the unplugging the heroin addict you could probably do that like there's probably a bunch of countries Trump could do that too if you well exactly Canada's just an example he could do this all over the world yeah so I think that's relevant in this context because
Starting point is 00:49:22 I think the transformation program is that. I think the transformation program, and I always have, is more about the rest of the world because I think, despite our flaws, the US is in the strongest position. Like, despite all of our bitching are Americans, I mean, far and away in a better position than every other country in the world. By a huge margin. And I think the transformation, the changes,
Starting point is 00:49:51 that are happening on an actual level when you talk about the agenda, like is Trump's agenda being implemented? I think if you look at the global space, it is on a rapid timeline. There's massive upheaval all around the world. A lot of it, I think, being prompted by a lot of Trump's moves. But here at home, it almost is like we have this, what do they call it in Taiwan porcupine strategy. Like we're shelling up and just kind of like taking the damage in the meantime. Taiwan. Taiwan uses the word porcupine. I think maybe that's the American military doctrine about if Taiwan is attacked. They call it porcupine strategy. But basically like, hey, don't attack, just shell up and make enemy attacks damaging to the enemy. So if I'm broadly right that the transformation
Starting point is 00:50:44 program in the first two years at least at Trump's term is mostly about the global stage and not the domestic stage, then his agenda can be being implemented. It's just not focused right here. And you know, you and I have talked about even during the Biden term, the switch theory and all that kind of stuff. Timelines I was certainly wrong about. I thought a lot of that stuff would feel much more immediate, 2025, 2026. But it's all still being implemented, you know, these data, data center projects we talk about.
Starting point is 00:51:14 So again, that's broad. I just think, you know, we feel like. not a lot is happening in terms of Trump's agenda, but it would actually be funny to go talk to a normie Canadian and say, do you think Trump is doing a lot? And they would be like, oh, my God, Trump has basically turned our entire economic system as a country and political system upside down in the last seven days, whereas for Americans, it was Monday. Yeah, no, I totally agree with everything you're saying. And I don't want, sometimes I have to play devil's advocate a little bit. These are good questions.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Yeah, I talk routinely about the switch theory and stuff and like how there are things get lined up. But again, like the conversations I have with people on a day-to-day basis and the issues they're having, the struggles they're having economically, is one of the things I said today actually was it's, I hope when Trump comes out and talks about all this stuff, he doesn't talk about how great things are right now because that is not a message you say to people when they're not feeling that themselves. like it's a main street issue right now there's um gosh who else was i talking to today
Starting point is 00:52:22 we just literally just had this kind might have been matt mcdonna we were talking it's like there are people that are doing really well right now but most of the people on main street are not like not those people those are the people that are really struggling and that's we need to vote in the midterms so there's just such a weird time with the with the the narrative warfare going on it's i don't know i don't know i'm just i want to see this next month and a half or however, what are we, two months away from the midterms. I'm curious. I think what I'm looking for the most is something election related.
Starting point is 00:52:54 And I'm not even saying, I'm not even saying like we need a national emergency or whatever. That would be cool. I just want to see something big that has everybody lose their damn minds. Because I think that's what we need right now is like a nationwide come to Jesus moment. And I don't know what that looks like or what that's going to be, but I would love for it to be around the elections. And we can go from there. I don't really care beyond that. But if we don't get that, it's going to be really hard for all the people who told us how important the Save America Act was that if we didn't have it, we would never have a country again, including Trump himself, how we go head first into these midterms with a straight face without having that in place.
Starting point is 00:53:34 Because it's not happening. Like the Save America Act is no longer happening, guys. Yeah. And who stopped that, John? Badlands did because we weren't positive. Oh, I forgot. About the same America art. We are the most powerful apparatus in the world.
Starting point is 00:53:49 But besides us who can stop what's coming, that should be just like our resume. All of us at Badland just like key skills can stop what's coming. By talking about things. Oh, yeah. In hypotheticals, that's what we do. What was I going to say? Man, I just lost it. Save America Midterms.
Starting point is 00:54:14 The stroke. Hope something comes to this moment. Oh, I was going to say who's stopping the Save America Act. The GOP! The fucking GOP stopped the Save America Act, guys. Like, we control Congress. The GOP that we're trying to vote for to get the Save America Act passed. Currently controls Congress and block the Save America Act every single time.
Starting point is 00:54:38 So now do I think that's a bad thing? Not necessarily, as we've talked about for months and months and months. but the GOP stopped it. It's so crazy, man. I know I've been talking about this every week, but we currently control Congress. And nobody knows. Not a single person on Twitter knows.
Starting point is 00:54:58 Nobody in Congress knows it. And when I say we, it's because it's not us. It's the Uniparty that controls Congress. That is the answer. But yeah, I mean, it's... That's not the... People aren't telling you to go vote for the Uniparty,
Starting point is 00:55:11 even though they'll talk about the Uniparty existing. tell you to go vote Republican and then pretend they only talk about the Unip Party when it when it fits their narrative. Oh yeah. Seriously. You guys should go read this post and read some of the comments because some people think it's hilarious because it is. But some people are like, you do understand we actually have the majority in Congress right now,
Starting point is 00:55:28 right? Look at what that's got. It's like, yeah, thank you. You missed the point here. hilarious. Yeah. Let me play this clip. This is a, I think this was from today.
Starting point is 00:55:39 Very brief on Trump with the Iran war and the election. Oh, here we go. Mr. President, we're going to find out. Oh, I think the war is going to end immediately after the election. I think the war will end immediately after the election because they can't hold out any longer. They're desperate to try and affect the election. So that we can get a nice, weak group of people in there
Starting point is 00:56:15 and leave them alone and let them have them. their nuclear weapon. All they want is a nuclear weapon. And if they had a nuclear weapon, the whole world is in deep trouble. Are you still hoping? Okay. Now, yeah, go ahead. Let's play with that for a second. Let's just, let's just say he's right. And that after the midterms, the Iran war is over. Because that question, there was a further line of questioning about energy prices and gas prices. And they were like, you keep saying they're going to come down and they haven't come down. And he was like they'll come down immediately after the election and that that's what prompted that they're like what are you talking about and he's like well the war is going to be over after the election but the
Starting point is 00:56:56 second part of what he says there he says they can't hold out any longer and my hairbrained admittedly schizophrenic theory about the iran war for the entire year has been that the reason Trump doesn't care about the perpetuation of the forever war narrative is because the longer it goes the more it is destabilizing the globalist system, not the American economy, even though we are suffering ill effects from it. And I think he's also saying there, one way of interpreting it, is that everybody in the world who's against Trump, which includes all of NATO, Canada, the GOP, the Democratic Party, basically the U.S. government, everyone has been using the Iran war as the albatross around Trump's neck and around his agenda. The oil companies that he's been threatening
Starting point is 00:57:50 with lawfare are, or not even lawfare, criminal charges have been targeted by him. So everybody has been leaning on Trump. And I think my opinion on this, and again, Canada is a great example of this. Trump said in a recent interview that like asked why is Mark Carney doing this when every even Normie financial analyst is looking at the math and being like, what is he doing? And Trump and his analysts are saying, Canada is trying to interfere in the midterms. So everybody is inflicting maximum damage on themselves by going all in on the midterms.
Starting point is 00:58:31 And I think what Trump is telling you is that it doesn't matter what happens in the midterms. I am in full control of the battle space. What happens on the world stage is up to me and or the sovereign alliance. So none of this matters. And all the damages that they think they're doing to me in my agenda aren't going to matter. And they can't keep suffering these things to happen after the midterms. But you're going to see Canada sign a deal the week after the midterms. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:00 Well, that's exactly what they did. It reminds me of 2020 with the COVID vaccine and how they released the COVID vaccine like three days after the election. It might even, it was like right after Joe Biden's to clear the winner. hilarious stuff. But the way I look at that is, so can you play the clip again? Like just the first part once he says it'll be over right after the election. Yeah. And then they can't hold out any longer. Play that part. We're going to find out. Oh, I think the war is going to end immediately after the election.
Starting point is 00:59:36 I think the war will end immediately after the election. Because they can't hold out any longer. They're desperate to try and affect the election. so that we can get a nice, weak group of people in there and leave them alone and let them have their nuclear weapon. All they want is... So... It's all they want, John. The story that we keep being sold from the mainstream media and everybody
Starting point is 01:00:01 is that this is Trump's war of choice. This is Trump's war. He's the one who controls us. He is the commander-in-chief. I don't know if they actually did this or not, but they were floating for a period to end the war. Like, they were going to declare an official end so that they could restart the war powers clock.
Starting point is 01:00:18 But anyway, if we're going at the mainstream media framing of it's Trump's war of choice, but he's blaming it. He's saying on Iran, like they're just holding out for a weaker group of people in there or whatever. But you could look at this the other way around is that, yes, it is Trump's war of choice, whether it's real or narrative or whatever you want to say it.
Starting point is 01:00:34 And that the reason it's going to be over right after the midterms is because Trump will have it over by then and end it then. But the reason he kept this war of choice going, the one that is actually causing real narrative, damage, I think, to, like, there are some people who are turning on Trump, or at least some people who are using the Iran war as a narrative cudgel against Trump and, you know, don't support Trump, whatever. He's doing it on purpose so that we, because he doesn't care about the midterms. Like, do you understand what I'm saying? Exactly. He's in control of it. And it will be over right after the midterms because he wants it over then. He doesn't care about it right now because he doesn't care about the midterms. Yeah, and I totally agree with that. And, you know, I've obviously been talking about it more from a geopolitics.
Starting point is 01:01:16 political lens in terms of, you know, geopolitically, I think the actuals are happening. And by that, I don't mean that the Iran war is real, because I don't think it is, at least in the way it's talked about. But in terms of the global realignment that is occurring on the back of the story of the Iran war, it's absolutely real. I mean, there are massive, you know, ghosts and I talk about this a lot. There are massive infrastructure projects like being funded right now that have already started all over the Middle East as a direct result.
Starting point is 01:01:46 of the story of the Iran War. Europe is hemorrhaging in terms of energy and narratively. Now in elections, we're told over in Europe, as a direct result of the Iran War. All these kinds of things. Domestically, our gas has gone up. And Trump has been saying the entire time that that is not because of the Iran War, but because of the futures markets and because of speculators, i.e. the American oligarchy, the oil cartel, which I wrote about six months.
Starting point is 01:02:16 ago in my Iran war series and said he was targeting the oil cartel and the globalist cartel, aka NATO, with the Iran war squeeze. So I completely agree that Trump, because Trump has consistently said he doesn't care how long it goes. And that seems to buck every other indicator we have. Why wouldn't he care if it is doing real damage to his mandate and all this kind of stuff? And I think it's because of what you're saying. I think he knows it's damaging them more than that's damaging him and that he's in control of it. And then my earlier point tonight that I've made before, specifically about the GOP, I think Trump has also allowed the Iran war narrative to perpetuate because it's increasingly
Starting point is 01:03:00 emboldening GOP congressmen to step out against him. And he wants those things to happen. You know, you can cue the infamous clip from whatever it was, 1987, you know, one of these ancient Trump clips that we all like to play from time to time, but the one where he's saying, someday I'd like to lose everything to see who's loyal. I mean, look at 2026 and tell me that isn't exactly part of what he's been doing with the Iran War narrative that he says is over and then restarted every day and has been for eight months. You know, it's, it really is at this point. You can debate me and Chris Paul and whatever, you know, to your feelings content about what is real
Starting point is 01:03:45 and what is fake over in the straight of whore moves. But to think that the OSYNC guys on Twitter or the media telling you what is or isn't happening over there is logically consistent with the things Donald Trump has been saying for the last six to eight months is ridiculous. The people that continue to pretend. He's contradicting himself. That's what I mean.
Starting point is 01:04:06 I mean, yeah. And I'm talking about even from the perspective of Trump supporters, like you can't have it both ways. You can't keep saying all this stuff is very serious. and very real, and then we play a clip like that. It's absurd to the, you know, the people that think that they're very serious geopolitical analysts or the people even in chat sometimes that are like, oh, just wait until the Iranian regime runs out of money. It's like, and then you watch a clip like that, and Trump isn't taking this seriously at all because it's a total joke.
Starting point is 01:04:37 It's narrative cover for whatever he's actually implementing. And I'm having fun guessing what that is, but in the context of this discussion, it's how is the Iran war affecting U.S. politics? And I would say it is just continued to draw a line of demarcation between Donald Trump and everybody else. Yeah. You know, I hate to go back to the $5,000 thing, but I think we should for a minute because I'm just thinking more about this now. And we have this is on the heels of this week, like they're talking about that policy they want to roll out about the $9,000 to stay at home moms. and everything and there's this like big social media fight on on Twitter about this like I'm personally against that
Starting point is 01:05:18 and the more I think about them doing this now right on the heels of that I wonder if they're trying to like draw out more conversation about about a program like this because this would be another welfare program wouldn't it I mean he's calling it a dividend maybe we don't know enough yet I would still probably call it a bribe
Starting point is 01:05:34 but it seems like he's like today we were kind of coming down off of that debate it didn't seem as hot and heavy on social media anyway And now I feel like this is almost the same concept. Yeah. I'll be a little different. But it's like he's stoking that debate right back up again with the $5,000 dividend check. And I think that's notable.
Starting point is 01:05:51 Yeah. It makes me think of a lot of what we've talked about with the switch theory going back a few years. And especially during his second term, these stakes that he's been taking in these private companies. Yeah. You know, public stakes. Yeah. And, you know, we talked about that a lot in July in terms of how they were going to, going to start calling him a communist. We were right about that. We nailed that about a month in advance.
Starting point is 01:06:16 But is that related to this, though? I think there's an interesting convergence that whether or not this $5,000 thing happens or the $9,000 thing happens. Some of the debates, it's provoking within, not even just the Magosphere, but like the American people in general is pretty fascinating. Because on the one hand, you look at like $9,000 dividends. And me and Zach were talking about this on Sunday night. he was on the narrative. And, you know, I was playing devil's advocate, like, like, you know, saying, this is kind of communist. I want to know where the money's coming from and who's getting it, et cetera. And Zach was taking the other angle on it. But both of those. Yeah. Yeah, both of those can be logically consistent, though. And I think part of what's being beta tested here is if you go far,
Starting point is 01:07:04 if you tiptoe down the rabbit hole of a $9,000 dividend to stay at home moms is communism. then you immediately get hit with a shotgun of all of the communist programs that we currently have. And it wouldn't surprise me if part of what Trump is doing here is like getting that debate out into the wild and saying like, hey, are you over 65? Communism. Like all of this is communism. Like we don't have the system that we've all been pretending we have. Does that mean that everybody should get $5,000 dividends? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:07:43 I'm just saying I think it's kind of funny because all these debates, whether they're happening in like leftoid spheres or MAGA conservative spheres, people can easily push back and say, well, what's the difference between that and this, this program and this other program, et cetera? Yeah, that's the point. I mean, we should be talking about how we don't want any of those programs. We shouldn't have any welfare programs, in my opinion. We shouldn't be giving money to any other foreign country either.
Starting point is 01:08:07 Like, we just, we print money. And give it away. And we're in debt, deficit, all these problems, and we're still paying taxes. And it's ridiculous. And I use the word we loosely. If dividends are to be real, then I think the manner in which they would be implemented, that would make sense would be using the data center template as a template and saying, if Trump's executive orders create an environment,
Starting point is 01:08:41 where massive conglomerates that have robbed the American people blind for decades are profiting to record numbers, then those companies should pay the American people as shareholders. And I think the data center debate, Trump has a real opportunity, and I'm not the first person who's going to tell him this. I'm sure he knows this. But it feels to me like there's something coming, with this data center debate, like there's another shoot-a-drop because it's the only thing that the unit party can unify on, left, right, and in between are all anti-data center, right? Trump is the only one that's pushing it positively besides the tech guys.
Starting point is 01:09:24 Yeah. So is there another narrative shoot-a-drop with Trump where he comes out and says like, okay, we've heard you. How about this is how we roll it out? And this is already happening. I was talking about it in chat, I think, with John Drake recently, but, um, a lot of these data center projects are actually signing deals with their local municipalities for dividends in various ways. And I'm wondering if part of this talk about five grand here and dividends here and stay-at-home moms, et cetera, like are they starting to grease the rails of saying like, hey, why don't you look at the infrastructure that these private companies are using that is your infrastructure,
Starting point is 01:10:07 energy infrastructure, land, water. And, you know, we maybe can throw a bone to the lefties who are freaking out about the data centers and say, okay, well, then if they are going to use the natural environment, which isn't theirs. And if they are going to use the rivers, which are not theirs. And if they are going to use the electric grid, which is not theirs, then maybe we should get something for that. And some people are going to call that communism. But I think Trump, I don't know, he might just maybe it's communist or whatever, but. It's also a slippery slope because literally every business everywhere uses water and electricity. So if we're going to do it to data centers, are we going to start taking a cut of every business in existence that uses electricity or water or, you know, city water or anything?
Starting point is 01:10:52 Well, I think the idea is if they're, if they're, you know, using, if their load on these systems is increasing costs for everybody in that town, which in some of these towns it is, then you can go the opposite direction. direction. Yeah. But again, like if I'm thinking court of law, if you were to make, if you were, if that were to happen, you could make the case. Like I would, as a citizen, if I'm starting to get like money from from a data center because they're using the land of the electricity, I would immediately go to court be like, I want money from all these other places too.
Starting point is 01:11:25 Like, give me money from all these people. And use the same argument. Like, yeah, I don't know. I get what you're saying. I'm playing devil's advocate, but I think the difference is the scale and not just that doesn't undo your. principle from principal's perspective but the scale does matter here because if i open if i open but it doesn't matter on the principal or in court i don't think it's like that's the legal argument
Starting point is 01:11:49 would be no it does it does i think because a lot of these are um there's zoning laws there's you know eminent domain all this kind of stuff that you can make an argument like if i'm opening a small business in massachusetts i'm not taking anything from anybody but these data centers and I'm a data center defender. I'm like the data center defender at Badlands. I'm just saying it is also true that they can't get these projects without the public or the government of a certain municipality approving them. Like they're not, they can't just go get the land and spin these things up.
Starting point is 01:12:24 They have to build like hydroelectric dams and all this shit, all these systems. They need permission structures to do that that small businesses don't need. And that's, I think, the difference. It's basically a quid pro quo where it's like, hey, yeah, if you spin up a business in the future that you need a fucking river to power, then you're going to have to go through the people of that town and say, like, can I use your river for my business? And they say, no, unless you make all our electricity cheaper. So I think it's more of a negotiation and bringing the American people into that negotiation. Okay, but there are, again, now I'm playing Dell's Advocate. There are plenty of things that get voted on, like county commissioners, zoning projects and everything that aren't just data centers.
Starting point is 01:13:08 But that are businesses. You vote on whether you're not, you want a new civic center in your town. And there are some certain businesses that just want to add on. They have to go to the county commissioner to get the right permits and stuff. Like, do we start getting ownership of the businesses that just need permission from the government to do something? Like, yeah, that would pro quo, you can do that, but you're going to give a chunk back. I think it's such a slippery slope. And I'm not even against the principle of it either.
Starting point is 01:13:31 and I'm not against data centers. But I think there's got to be a better way that does not involve more government. I want less government in all of this stuff. And it just sounds like when we do stuff like that, I'm all about the American people prospering and like getting more money from these people that have been ripping us off.
Starting point is 01:13:48 I just don't want it to come with more rules and regulations. And such is why I'm also against the $9,000 check. It's like we're taking another welfare program. We're adding another layer to it that can be corrupted and abused. Like it's just that's not at all what we're out to fight. Like I'm also trying to like think sometimes when when we're looking at what's happening right now in the Trump administration, I try to pretend it's not even Trump that's doing
Starting point is 01:14:12 some of these things. I'm trying to let's let's pretend it was a Democrat in there. You know, those stupid Democrat. Let's say Obama was the one that was rolling out these policies. How would I feel about this if Obama was doing it too? Would it make me angry? And I think more people should do this because I think there's so many people that just cheer everything because it's Trump.
Starting point is 01:14:31 And I think we need to be more principled than how we approach this stuff. And the data center one and getting a cut of it, like, we've already got to cut to what? Intel MP materials or minerals. Yeah. I think the last list I saw, there was eight companies that we have ownership in. If we end up getting ownership in all these data centers and but they remain public companies. I don't know, man. It's just, it's interesting.
Starting point is 01:14:54 It's where we're going. It seems like that's where we're going. I'm just not 100% sure I'm in favor of it. Yeah, I don't know what the answer is, and this is why late, and I'm still toward the beginning of this rabbit hole, because it's hard to, it's hard to parse Western propaganda as it is. It's particularly hard to parse Western propaganda from 20 years ago about a quote-unquote adversarial nation. But I've been saying on my show and in my writing and a lot lately, I'm kind of back into the righteous Russia rabbit hole for the first time in a few years. And the reason is a lot of this led me in a roundabout way to that because I'm like, man, this sounds like a lot of stuff I was researching about Putin when I was first writing that
Starting point is 01:15:41 series. And I've been saying I think Trump is following a template, not setting one. And, you know, they're different. It's obviously different. We have a different system, et cetera. But a lot of this stuff looks an awful lot like what Vladimir Putin did in Russia and what Xi Jinping did in China 10 years after him and what Trump is doing 10 years. after Xi. And, you know, I want to dig more, like, pull on that thread more and see exactly
Starting point is 01:16:06 what form a lot of these agreements took with the Russian government, with the Chinese government. But I think that there might be a sovereign template out there that is, I don't know if it's temporary, but going back to Ash talking about a transformation program, is there a capitalist, communist transition period that the Sovereign Alliance has basically said like, hey, it's fine to talk free market, but like the enemy owns the means of production. So at a certain point, we got to figure some shit out, guys. And do we blow everything up? Or do we say, hey, Meta, you know how you have all the money? Rather than taking all that money and just giving it to the American people, Why don't you use it to help us build the infrastructure that's going to employ all of those people?
Starting point is 01:17:07 And I think something like that is going on with all these companies. Because all the worst American companies in the world are the ones that are powering the transition, which is why I understand when truthers freak out about what meta is doing with data centers and what Jeff Bezos is doing. My theory on this is that it's the Putin template and the Xi template and that Trump is, Like, you want to play ball. You keep your company, but here's what you're working on and where you're working on it. Yeah. Or they're just trying to kill everybody.
Starting point is 01:17:39 But yeah, Rushark Lives in the chat says America has been a socialist nation since FDR. Trump is just steering into the skid. I like that take on it. Also, there was something you said, oh, yeah, back when Trump said, we are going to give the government back to you, the people. Maybe he just meant that a little bit more literally. Like, we're going to grow the government super big. It's just going to be communist. And we're all going to get the benefits of it as well.
Starting point is 01:17:59 Yeah. By the way, Roshark, the FDR point is actually notable to this because one of the threads I've been pulling on is FDR basically paved the way and I don't like him. I'm just saying like FDR. I don't know. He's kind of gay. There's a lot of, it was very big government stuff. But, you know, some people, Matt Error loves him. North Dakota ties.
Starting point is 01:18:25 Yeah. I'll admit it's not my, it's not my most well-research. rabbit hole so I'll defer to other. How dare you talk shit about you've never researched. Yeah. Gay is my immediate setting. And, you know, that's what I'm going to stick with until proven otherwise. But you got to turn your settings down from like Bessent, maybe down to like, I don't know, who's somebody that's gay, but.
Starting point is 01:18:47 He's homosexual. Oh, dare you. Okay. Well, whatever. Huge difference. Is there, though? He says he has a pink house and has sex with dudes. You think he has?
Starting point is 01:18:59 His house is actually pink. It is. Is it really? Have you seen it? Yeah. He has a big, I don't know if he still lives in it, but he has a big pink mansion. How do you know that? It's like a famous meme.
Starting point is 01:19:09 Is it? It's got to be true. I saw it on the internet. I thought we just found out like two weeks ago that he was gay. We had no idea before that. I was pink. Anyway, I want to get into the AI stuff before it gets too late because... Wait, wait.
Starting point is 01:19:22 The FDR thing. This is related. The FDR thing. FDR paved the way. You like that pun. Paved the way. the way. He paved the way for the American interstate system, which is the biggest infrastructure project in American history using largely this commie capitalist bullshit. The data center boom
Starting point is 01:19:44 is being called in terms of scale the new interstate system, essentially. So the comparison actually fits a little bit closer than people think. Was it Roosevelt who did the interstate system? I thought. Yeah. Hold on, I don't look this up. I thought it was... State system. I thought it was... I thought it was...
Starting point is 01:20:13 Oh, Eisenhower signed the... But I don't think it was implemented under him. No, but the idea was to like, it was on the heels of World War II, and they're like, okay, well, what if we got invaded? How do we get our troops from one area of the country the other side? And so a lot of the interstate system has stretches where they can land planes on. That's even better, actually. actually because Eisenhower was super based and Kennedy started to continue that. So I was, I was saying was Trump, is Trump taking something that the bad guys were doing,
Starting point is 01:20:46 but doing it in a good way now. But if it was Eisenhower, then that's even better. That's an even better template to follow. Yeah. Okay. Let's get in. We have, I have two sponsors I have to do still. Excited about, we have a great badlanders chat going on Keat.
Starting point is 01:21:01 But I'm going to do Rumble wallet first, my favorite Rumble. ad read you guys all you all know that but let's do that real quick and then after like 20 minutes we'll come back and do the other one all right everybody this is a paid advertisement for rumble wallet they're sponsoring this portion of the show all right chat real talk if you actually want our attention there's now a clear line to it here's how it works we're prioritizing rants that are sent through rumble wallet if you send one we see it and we respond as simple as that for a limited time you can start your wallet with 20 dollars in us stablecoin for tipping rumbac creators like me and Burning Bright directly by using the exclusive promo code, DPH20, when you sign up now.
Starting point is 01:21:39 Questions, hot take stuff you really want us to react to. Don't bear it in the chat. Put it in a rant because let's be honest, regular chat flies by. But when you use Rumble Wallet, it cuts through everything. So here's the move. Scan the QR code or use the link in the description of this video. You can download Rumble wallet there and you try it out for yourself. And don't forget to use the code DPH20 and claim you're $20 for tipping in U.S.
Starting point is 01:21:58 stable coin. This is what the VIP lane looks like. buddy. Go to wallet.rumble.com and restrictions apply. There are a limited number of entries available. Don't forget the code DPH20. Terms and conditions also apply.
Starting point is 01:22:13 See the description below or visit rumble.com slash promo official rules or details. All right. Can I play this clip? Have you seen the video of we're transitioning out unless you have any closing thoughts?
Starting point is 01:22:28 Just that I was right about the gay house. That's it. Wow. That is pretty gay. He sold it. Why? Or the election. He didn't want to get found out, I guess. Interesting. So he was like under a cover and then. Yeah. He was like, do you think people will know I'm gay because of this house? Man. Maybe I should paint my house people don't forget, Scott. People are, people didn't forget unless you're MJ truth. We somehow forgot. Okay, I'm going to play this video first. And the reason I'm playing this is because we have the AI is going to kill us stuff.
Starting point is 01:23:09 So this is the first part of the, and I saw this, I think, before. This is like a day or two before today, I guess. Was it today that the story came out from the Anthropic guy who left and he's like, oh, yeah, they don't understand. We'll get there. Just listen to this. But, well, how long would you want to live? I want to go, you know, other planetary systems. I want to go and explore the universe.
Starting point is 01:23:36 Yeah. I mean, you know, I would like to double my lifespan for sure. I don't want, you know, I'm not sure I wanted to talk about immortality, but, you know, at least 120, 150s, a long time. One of the worst curses possible would be that, yes, may you live forever. May you live forever. Yeah. That would be one of the worst. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:53 Curses you could possibly give anyone. But I think life can get very interesting. Yeah. Far more. We're going to speed run Star Trek as my partner, Alex Weisner Gross says. Yeah. Speed running Star Trek would be cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:08 Well, at a minimum, your kids will have infinite life expectancy if you're talking about escape velocity. If you can double lifespan, it's not even close. You're clearly past longevity, escape velocity. The idea of 50 years of AI improvement. Yeah, I mean, we're going to have that in 20 years. I don't know. I got too many push to Brian.
Starting point is 01:24:24 This is something, by the way, that I think, I think it's very, obviously other people think this too, but I've long thought that like longevity or semi- immortality is an extreme. extremely solvable problem. I don't think it's a particularly hot problem. I mean, when you consider the fact that your body is extremely synchronized in its age, the clock must be incredibly obvious. Nobody has an old left arm and a young right arm. Why is that? What's keeping them all in sync? Your program to die is the way your program to die. And so if you change the program,
Starting point is 01:25:04 John you will live longer just this this guy like this is well we sit down in a room start talking to normal people this is how they see us he's making some great questions here but don't this is very important guys okay why our arms age the same rate is important because we are all going to die from aIs just just bear with me a little longer okay this is the one side of the coin, we're going to see the other side of the coin after. And we've got, you know, species of the bowhead whale can live for 200 years, the Greenland shark could live for 500 years. And when I, when I learned that, I said, why can they, why can't we?
Starting point is 01:25:42 And I said, it's either hardware problem or software problem. And we're going to have the tech to solve that. And I do believe that is this next decade. So the important thing is not to die from something stupid before the, before the solutions come. You know, I invited you. In retrospect, the solution to longevity will seem obvious. Yeah. Extremely obvious.
Starting point is 01:25:57 I think the thing worth working on, Peter's going to work on this anyway, but the thing to work on is exactly what you said. If old ideas don't, calcified old ideas don't just die off, add that to the pile of things we need to think about today. Because our whole host of other AI-related things we need to think about today.
Starting point is 01:26:14 Let me finish on the longevity point. Yeah, we'll stop it there. And then I'm going to play this clip from, I think this originally came out in, I want to say August of 2025, if I'm not mistaken. That's one of my favorite Elon clips that has to do with AI.
Starting point is 01:26:32 At times, I'm worried like, well, is this, this seems like it's somewhat unnerving to have intelligence created that is far greater than our own. And will this be bad or good for humanity? It's like I think it'll be good. Most likely it'll be good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I somewhat reconciled myself to the fact that you, you,
Starting point is 01:27:06 Even if it wasn't going to be good, I'd at least like to be alive to see it happen. So, you know. Not a very confident answer. Again, like two years ago. This was back when Grok was just like getting, getting far the ground. And there's this story. This is the one that everybody's freaking out about probably a sci-op guys. AI could destroy human race over the next decade.
Starting point is 01:27:31 Three anthropic researchers warn. Three. Three of them. Jacob Coxon was an AI researcher with Anthropic before he resigned from the company on Tuesday, citing unacceptable risks that weren't being considered in the race to develop AI. He claimed that there will soon be superhuman systems that can hack anything, revolutionize any field overnight, and acquire real power and resources. The people building AI earnestly believed that it could kill us all by the end of the decade.
Starting point is 01:27:57 This is not a marketing stunt. He went on to say the fears, he said, while the fears are not aired publicly, the same people promoting AI expressed the concerns privately. He said the development of AI continues because at OpenAI, one of Anthropics competitors, may have not internalized the civilization stakes. Ridiculous. There's multiple other people that backed it up.
Starting point is 01:28:20 I believe Anthropics is trying its best, but we do not have a plan to solve alignment for superintelligence and are not clearly on track to. Another guy, AI developers believe their technology could cause human extinction or similarly bad outcomes. This could happen in the next few. years I don't know what like what's on the same scale I don't know man in general the more senior the employee the more concerned they are anyway so this is like the narrative
Starting point is 01:28:47 flown around and you know I'm assuming this has to do with some sort of government involvement that they're looking for no maybe maybe they want government to regulate some of this stuff and so they're using some sciops to do it. That's gut feeling. Could be wrong though. No idea. Yeah. So this is amazing because we've been talking about this on this particular show for months. And specifically, you guys will recall, I have been repeatedly in the midst of my white pilling on AI in the Golden Age and be in the simp for Elon Musk and all that kind of stuff, which I will accept. I have been saying there are a couple of snakes in the grass when it comes to
Starting point is 01:29:40 this AI narrative, this phase shift, and those are represented by Sam Altman of OpenAI and Dario Amadeh, of Anthropic. Both of these companies, I forget which month it was, I think it was April, May, whatever we're visiting western governments besides Congress Canada Australia European governments asking them to basically put guardrails onto their AI industries and my theory was that they're trying to use those guardrails of other Western nations as a framework to then bring those guardrails to Congress and say look look at what Australia is doing look at what the UK is doing look at what the UK is doing look at what the EU is doing. We need to do that. Now, on the DPH, I asked the obvious question,
Starting point is 01:30:31 why would the two leaders in the AI industry want to limit the AI industry? Because that's exactly what this is, by the way. Their proposed guardrails on AI is to form government committees that their executives sit on in order to examine any A.I. AI models that come in and any AI companies and contracts that come into the ecosystem to determine whether or not they pose national security threats. So two ways of looking at that. One is they're trying to stifle competition, right? They were the industry leaders.
Starting point is 01:31:17 They don't want competition coming after them. If they're in bed with the government, they can stifle that competition. Railroad barons, oil tycoons, tail as old as time. That's not what I think is going on. What I think is going on is these guys were part of one specific reset that you might call the Great Reset. And there was going to be a very nightmarish vision of an AI future. And that that is what Elon Musk is talking about. Because Elon Musk has been going to war with these guys for a decade through lawfare, through companies, through the media, through social media.
Starting point is 01:31:54 and by the way, a lot of people don't know in this space that Elon Musk was the co-founder of Open AI when it was supposed to be an open source not-for-profit company until Sam Altman stole the company from him and made it for-profit and closed source. And Elon's been calling him a snake in the grass. That's why I call them that, him and Dario Amadeh. So Elon is not asking for government regulation. He thinks we need to move really fast and put AI in the hands of the American people in order for them to get comfortable with it and that governments need to get comfortable with it like move fast and
Starting point is 01:32:30 break things and these guys want to slow it all down so i think that they are aware that donald trump and elon musk's agenda is warp speed acceleration down the ai future even though that makes people uncomfortable because the only way that we get to the nightmare future that is a real possibility is if they slow it down and control it, just like they wanted to do and maybe successfully have done with the internet, with electricity, with all these other step change technologies.
Starting point is 01:33:04 And this is one that they don't want that to happen with, which a few weeks ago on this show, I had said, Anthropic and Open AI were on the advisory board to the Trump administration about drafting rules and regulations for AI, and the Trump administration rubbed them so far.
Starting point is 01:33:23 This is not finalized or codified yet. But according to Axios, according to all the people with the insiders around these companies, the Trump administration is going to put guardrails on the AI industry, but only closed source models, which is what open-a-I and anthropic specialize in, not open-source models, which is what China specializes in, which is why I've been saying this is a sovereign alliance thing the whole time. By the way, Elon Musk very friendly with Xi Jinping and the Chinese government. So I think that there is an AI war going on.
Starting point is 01:33:57 And I think a lot of MAGA has been sciopt into supporting the agenda of the people that are trying to institute Skynet while stopping the agenda of the people that are trying to get us away from that. Yeah. And keep in mind that it was Jensen Hwang or whatever, the owner of NVIDIA who purchased Hugging Face, which is like the open source. GitHub, essentially. You know what I mean? So, yeah, that is interesting. That's also the thing that OpenAI went and hacked at one point in time. Or AI bots just happened to get in there. And who knows what they did.
Starting point is 01:34:33 But yeah, there's some merit to what you're saying there. I dig it. You know, it could go either way. I just, you know, I think it's interesting to look at, again, like, I don't know. Who knows where these people's loyalties lie. But it is interesting. Anytime I get confronted with like, what if Elon's a bad guy and everything, I don't know, maybe.
Starting point is 01:34:51 I think all these people are characters or archetypes in some manner. I'm just looking at what is... He's not given us free speech. He's not giving us free speech. That's true. But, you know, I look at his background with some of these people. And I don't know. I just think I've said on the show, going back a couple of years,
Starting point is 01:35:10 that I think it's uncanny how many of Trump's codified executive orders from 2025 are all the stuff that Elon's been doing for. 10 years. Like what? Like autonomy, open source AI, basically just warp speed acceleration down. Oh, Elon has this thing. Tesla has this thing called Tesla master plan, which is like actually their business plan. They've released four master plans over the last, however many, almost 20 years of the company. Master Plan part four, I believe, came out in 2025. and I think it's called the age of abundance. It basically lays out,
Starting point is 01:35:55 this is what our goal is as a company and the goals have evolved with each master plan. First, it was like, we want to make the world's best electric car. Then it was, we want to create the first fully autonomous vehicle. Now it's, we want to create an age of abundance. That's what Elon claims.
Starting point is 01:36:12 Well, Trump's talking about the age of abundance and the golden age and all this kind of stuff. And it's like, you know, I don't know if these things are possible. but I do know that the government, besides Trump, keeps trying to stop Elon Musk agendas while putting the keys in the hands of Sam Altman and Dario Amadeh, who are basically his sworn enemies. And yeah, I just think that's notable. Jetson Wang is a good one to bring up because he's one that I wasn't sure about.
Starting point is 01:36:44 I'm still not sure about him. But it is interesting that he is Elon's biggest supplier. And I mean, he's basically everybody's biggest supplier of chips. But in terms of the narrative, Jensen is highly bullish around Elon and all of his projects. And, you know, right now in the marketplace, Nvidia is extremely powerful from a technology and capital perspective. And Jensen based, Jensen recently like a month ago, said in one of his sit down thing. things. If I had unlimited resources, I would pile all of it into Elon Musk's projects. And he also funds, you know, these other guys too. So it's just interesting to see where this goes.
Starting point is 01:37:28 But I think that the fact that on September 9th, you could have counted dozens and dozens and dozens of AI is going to kill us all doom porn on all of the mainstream media all at once. and it's kind of funny because Donald Trump is out there telling you to stop being a pussy about data centers and Elon Musk is telling you about the age of abundance. By the way, self-driving cybercabs are just like rolling around Austin and nobody's talking about it. But they're just rolling those things out. The media doesn't touch it. I applied to purchase the cyber taxi or whatever and like roll it out here in Bismarck and obviously I haven't gotten back yet. It can become cyber taxi barons. I know. That's what I'm saying. We'll see if they ever get back to me or not. But we do have an update on the $5,000 for every adult citizen story
Starting point is 01:38:23 that I would like to share with everybody. And it is J.D. Vance having to defend it, which is always a good time. People, if we do that, what do you just fine? So, Mr. Vice President, I heard the Trump Tivodan to raise my eyebrows, $5,000 for every adult citizen if the House wins. Wait, it raised my eyebrows and both hands went up at the same time. But if Republicans win the House, this is for the American middle class. Right, but if Republicans win the House, $5,000 for every adult citizen.
Starting point is 01:38:51 So you do the quick math, that's about $1.3 trillion. I can hear the critics head exploded. They're saying out loud, I guarantee you, the president is bribing voters to vote for Republicans to take over the House. And then he's bankrupting the country because the deficit debt is huge. And inflation would come back if this comes into play. So how do you answer those criticisms? Well, I say first of all, what the president's talking about is fundamentally a dividend for American workers. We're taking in an extraordinary amount of revenue because the President of United States is actually standing up to both foreign companies, but also foreign countries who've been taking advantage of America's workers for pretty much my entire life.
Starting point is 01:39:32 All of these tariffs, what is a tariff, Brett? A tariff is when the President of United States says, if you want to undercut the wages of American workers, if you want to ship American jobs overseas, you're going to pay a big fat penalty. when you try to bring that stuff back into the United States of America. Those penalties have generated a lot of revenues. They've helped us pay down debt. What the president is just saying is, if you keep it going to the American people, if you keep us in power and allow us to continue to do these things, then you're going to share in some of the benefit of this incredible wealth
Starting point is 01:40:01 that we're creating in the United States of America. I don't think it's a controversial idea. It's actually the President of the United States saying we're all working together. We're all in the same team. And if we continue to create wealth, that wealth is going to go back to the American people. I think it comes down to and maybe to... I mean, it can't be from tariff money
Starting point is 01:40:19 because the $5,000 is, like they said, it's like $1.3 trillion. We made $150 billion in tariffs last year, and I think this year we're probably on pace to do better. Maybe it's $150 so far this year, and last year was like $190 billion. Did you do the math? I could probably look it up.
Starting point is 01:40:38 On that divided by the number of Americans? Well, it's the number of adult Americans. 15 billion? How many adult Americans are there? See what the machine says. 270 million Americans are adults. Okay, so let's do 270. That's $500 per person.
Starting point is 01:41:05 Yes, that's what I'm saying. 270 million times $5,000 is $1.35 trillion. Yeah. Got to bump those tariffs up. what you're saying. Quite substantially. So where else is the money coming from? I mean, we could just print it.
Starting point is 01:41:20 That's what we do for everything else. Yeah, we're probably going to. Could just air drop some Trump meme coins, like the Hunter Biden laptop coins. Do you see that today? He comes out with this long post about how he's launching a laptop coin. And then it comes out and immediately just like, he's such a good arc.
Starting point is 01:41:37 It's so bad. And it's so funny because when he was out there talking about the Trump coin, before he launched his coin he was like railing about how so many people just lost money all these things it's literally down like a billion dollars or something like anybody who had money and it initially lost
Starting point is 01:41:54 they're just their ass on it so fun yeah I think both things can be true here J.D. Vance does not know what Trump is doing at any given time and it's like man you really can't unsee it the more you watch him try to respond about Trump's
Starting point is 01:42:10 agenda because you can Tell when somebody in Trump's orbit does know the agenda and is earnestly defending it. You know, like Steve Bannon, people like that. But yeah, he sort of like talks around it. But in keeping with our last segment there on The Age of Abundance, there is one thing that both Donald Trump and Scott Besson keeps saying all year with regards to the economy. they keep saying we can grow our way out of it. And it sounds ridiculous. And economists are sure to tell us it's ridiculous over and over again.
Starting point is 01:42:51 But that's what I keep hanging my hat on when it comes to any of this stuff. And I agree with you, it's not tariffs. By the way, I think it was a few days ago that Trump put a post out saying, like, I hate tariffs in the middle of a defense of tariffs. But I think that's a signal of maybe somebody can find that in the chat. But he was justifying tariffs and what he's doing. But he was like, I hate tariffs. I wish there were no tariffs.
Starting point is 01:43:14 And we've actually speculated that, that like he's using these as a weapon to rebalance things, but doesn't ultimately want tariffs because it's not free trade. And I think people are too dismissive of the age of abundance thing and the grow our way out of it thing. Because if we do get these rocket boosters put on the American economy and you get people like Trump and Besson routinely talking about 20% GDP instead of 3% than what kind of revenues are we looking at with all these companies and projects. And the bottom line is I think that if it's not new money being created, if it's coming from economic activity, then they're saying that if you put that money on Main Street, it's better for the economy than putting it on Wall Street. which I would agree with, it all just depends on where is it actually coming from. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:13 Clearly, it's not coming from tariffs. Yeah, I don't know. I don't think it's going to happen regardless, but we'll see. And it'll be fun to talk about it over the next couple months before the midterms. It's hard not to look at it as a bribe. That's why I think it's so funny because everybody's going to lose their mind over it. The left is going to lose it. Tomorrow's going to be fun watching like Joe Scarborough, like his monologue.
Starting point is 01:44:33 Can we just see the clip of that on Twitter? Oh, my God. Did you see him? Is it Joe Scarborough? No, no. Who am I thinking up? Who are he? Who's Joe Scarborough? Do you know who Joe Scarborough was? I think I have a...
Starting point is 01:44:47 I'm blanking. Is he the CNBC guy? I've said it for years now. He's cogent. But I undersold him when I said he was cogent. He's far beyond cogent. In fact, I think he's better than he's ever been. Talking of Biden, by the way. It was that stroke. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:45:08 It must have a stroke. Really straightened him out. I was thinking of, I forget the guy's name, Joe something on CNBC, who's like the financial guy. He roasted the Canadian, he was like the interior Canadian finance minister or something. And this is like a normie, like he seems kind of based, but he doesn't get into politics model. Joe Kernan? Yeah, I think so. But he was roasting him being like, you know, you're 38th out of 38?
Starting point is 01:45:40 Western countries in terms of GDP per capita. Like, how do you expect any of this to go? And the Canadian government official was like, well, I understand your point. We still felt it was important to battle Donald Trump on an economic agenda. I think you're talking about this clip, probably. And this is shocking to me. GDP growth in Canada over the last 10 years, you're dead last, basically, with OECD countries. You're at 0.5%. United States was 20.7%. I think we can look at this. I mean,
Starting point is 01:46:18 dead left. And it's not just the last 10 years. The OECD is, it's not going to get any better. It's going to get much worse. Between 2020 and 2030, you're dead last, projected to be, out of the OECD's 38 members tied with Italy at 46% below the OECD average. And then the next 30 years after that debt is this right clip by the way yes it is again what what went wrong i mean you you know the inner workings of of in it is it you know is it regulation is it permitting is it high taxes is it the canadian people deserve to have a better standard of living it shouldn't be going down over a 10 year period because what joe says right there the canadian public deserves a better standard oh this is uh he didn't have the guy responding oh well the guy basically just did
Starting point is 01:47:09 politics speak around it so it's not even that notable but uh yeah that that that's just an example of of uh what trump is doing up there the dialectic he's kind of enforcing but you know i think actually trump had an awesome post the other day about canada where he was basically like yeah it's great for them right now to make me the villain but it's not going to be great when the canadian people start to wake up which is exactly what i've been saying for two years yeah you think they'd be awake by now i do have the part where she responds here we won't listen to the whole thing I just want to hear what she says to that. For workings of Canada, is it, you know, is it regulation?
Starting point is 01:47:45 Is it permitting? Is it high taxes? Is it the Canadian people deserve to have a better standard of living? It shouldn't be going down over a 10-year period. Joe, I just, before answering that question, which I want to do, I just want to pick up on something you said about China. Because I want to be very clear about my own view. I am a China hot.
Starting point is 01:48:04 Okay, that's all I need to see. China is bad. Let me answer something. else. Yeah. To answer your question about why Canada is the worst, China is the worst. I'm a China hawk. Oh, funny. All right. It is 11.30 man. I am just exhausted. Let's get the boosts and the rants. I think I saw one boost in there. But before we do that, real quick, guys, if you haven't yet, get your guard tickets, whether in person or virtual. Patriots, the fight for truth doesn't stop at the screen. It's hitting the road.

Starting point is 01:51:18 PennWD Ghost actually sing that song karaoke. He kind of looks like he did. I don't think it was that song exactly, was it? But he was doing that. No, it wasn't that song, but that's a real clip, by the way. Yeah, I, I, because I know that that's real, I never thought that, uh, oh yeah, people might think that's AI, but we have been doing a lot of AI videos. No, for anybody who doesn't know, that is all 100% real footage.
Starting point is 01:51:43 of Ghost in Vegas last year. So funny. So funny. So funny. And then Pendovi, that's awesome. I hope to get back down here for the Sarasota Guard. It's St. Pete. And those tickets are going to be going on sale here very soon as well.
Starting point is 01:51:58 Keith O'Higgins, funny how John can't even say in Jibba because it's too close to the end. Nobody can say in Juba though. No, except for like J.B. and Cam. Keith O'Higgins, happy birthday. Colonel Sanders. Hubert Hoover I don't think that was his name on his campaign
Starting point is 01:52:17 promised a chicken in every pot Trump should court the black vote with fried chicken and some pot Herbert Hoover right? No he was the FBI I don't know I don't care right now Who cares? Chicken and every pot oh man how
Starting point is 01:52:34 how long they've been demeaning us yeah if you vote for me in this fake election I'll put a chicken I'll have somebody run a chicken right over there for you and your eight kids. What was it during, wasn't the COVID? There were like a $2,500 COVID relief check that had something to do with the elections too that Trump was against for a while and then he ended up signings that a super majority or something. I'll have to go back and read that.
Starting point is 01:52:58 Was it mail-in voting incentives? I don't remember. I don't know. I'll just go back and look. That was so long ago. That was like 20 years ago now it feels like. Simmel 10 says the $5,000 is a dividend, one of many from our. sovereign wealth fund. I don't think we actually have a sovereign wealth fund yet, do we? I think we've talked
Starting point is 01:53:14 about it. Because the GOP blocked it. That's literally. It was an executive order. Donald Trump signed an executive order for everybody that's about to vote super hard next month or two months, guys. Donald Trump signed an executive order in 2025, hit one of his first. It might even been his first, but it was among his first. It was among the first 100. There were 100 of them on the first day. Okay. Remember the first day when he sat down and he was literally just like for two hours just sign and talking with the press and signing documents like here's all the shit the GOP is going to block yeah um so yeah guys he signed a sovereign wealth fund into existence and the GOP has blocked it uh congress has blocked it from being implemented which is one of my pet theories is that a lot of what
Starting point is 01:53:57 we're seeing arranged via unprecedented deals with private companies is trump gathering up and de facto building his sovereign wealth fund before it is recognized by Congress. Sure. And Congress will never do that. So, which is why that must be disbanded. Yeah, that'll be something else. Rob Glenn says, I think Kyler Murley is a little short on talent. And don't you dare speak about my quarterback that way. He's going to lead us to the promised land. Counterinsurgent says really enjoying Keat's good sponsor, which reminds me, let's talk a little bit about Keat right now. Because you guys should join our new Badlander chat group. This goes for YouTube, Burning Bright. Some conversations are not meant for an audience, an advertiser or technology company.
Starting point is 01:54:42 They are meant for exactly two people. The messages you send your partner, personal thoughts, private photos of vulnerable moments, deserve more than a privacy setting buried inside a corporate platform. Keat is a free messenger built peer-to-peer messages, calls, and files are end-to-end encrypted with no centralized company database holding the conversation. Keat does not collect your metadata, and it doesn't ask for a phone number or an email. That means the company running Keat is not positioned in the middle of your relationship, building a profile around the way the two of you communicate.
Starting point is 01:55:12 Keep intimate conversations between the people they belong to. Go to keat.io slash badlands DPSD-PH. That's Keet-K-E-E-T.I-O forward slash badlands DPS. And then you can download for free. And then you send me a message at John Badlands-22. and I will add you to our Badlanders group, and I will say it is very intimate. It is awesome.
Starting point is 01:55:38 keat.io forward slash Badlands, DPH. Sign up now. Send me a message. We'll get you in there. It's been awesome. All right. Monkey Pam, I just got into Keat. Thanks for the link, John.
Starting point is 01:55:50 Yes, and make sure you send me message, and I will add you in there as soon as I can. Keith O'Higgins says, Bibi has exposed himself as a humillion ritual expert tonight. Time to change his moniker from B-B-T-L-D-R. to Burning Bright BDSM to help your neck BB maybe be like Brady and deflate the ball gag. I think I'm just having a stroke for a couple of weeks. I don't know what's going on, but that's okay. It happens. So it helped. Maybe I'm dying. You just got to hold out long enough for
Starting point is 01:56:20 AI to invent. That's it. Immortality. That's it. That's the goal right now for all of us. The final man had a six-hour conversation with my coworkers who are 25 or under about AI today. Their consensus was, that's a long conversation for anybody, especially people who are 25. That's nuts. Were they still there? I'm curious where you work, follow-a-man.
Starting point is 01:56:45 That's interesting. Anyway, their consensus was AI is good unless they use it for bad. First time they had a real conversation around me. Weird. The AI stuff, you can say that about everything. The AI stuff is going to, look in my opinion this this era of AI freakouts is going to look very silly in very short order and
Starting point is 01:57:06 I'm not just saying because the golden age I'm saying because it's going to look like electricity or the interneting of people like I saw this put a really good way on one of these millions of podcasts I listened to the guy basically said it I think it was Anthony Pompley He said in 10 years, there's when they talk about companies, they're not going to talk about AI companies. They're going to talk about companies because every company is going to be using AI. Every company is going to be using AI. Just like right now in 2026, do they talk about internet companies, guys? Or do they just talk about companies?
Starting point is 01:57:54 Well, in 1999, they talked about internet companies. That's what the bubble was. There was a new internet company coming out. And now, if your company doesn't have anything to do with the internet, it's just, it's the exception, not the rule. So that's what AI is going to be. Yeah, Ash says that BB and Brian need to have this discussion at Gart. Loser gets pilloried. Not even sure I know what that means.
Starting point is 01:58:23 Successfully AI waterboarded Ash, I think, on behalf of the Borg. I don't know, man. You should listen to what you guys all should do. And I'm being serious, Ash can vouch for this in the chat. I'm not just trying to, Shane, let's plug myself. But go watch my show on Monday. Was it Monday? Yeah, it was Monday with Matt McDunna.
Starting point is 01:58:42 The whole episode. Like, I was going to have mom for like 10 minutes to talk about AI becoming AGI. And we ended up talking for the full show pretty much. And it was a really good episode. His perspective is pretty solid. So I encourage you guys to go check that out. But first listen to this. Back now, 56 past, I wasn't prepared to translate that as I was doing that little tease.
Starting point is 01:59:01 That little mark with the A and then the ring around it. See, that's what I said. Katie said she thought it was about. Yeah. Oh. But I'd never heard it. I'd never heard it said. I'd always seen the mark, but never heard it said.
Starting point is 01:59:15 And then it sounded stupid when I said it, violence at NBC. I heard it around or about in the lunchroom the end of week. There it is. Violence at NBC. GE.com. I mean... What Allison should know? What do you say that, Allison anyway? Internet is that massive computer network. The one that's becoming really big now. What do you mean? How does one... What do you write to it? Like mail? No, a lot of people use it and communicate. I guess they can communicate with NBC writers and producers. Allison, can you explain what internet is?
Starting point is 01:59:47 No, she can't say anything in 10 seconds or less. Oh, Allison will be in this radio shortly. What does it mean? It's a giant computer network made up of a start from. Oh, I thought you were going to tell us what this was. It's like a computer billboard. It's not a computer billboard, but it's nationwide. It's several universities and everything all joined together.
Starting point is 02:00:08 Right. And others can access it. Right. And it's getting bigger and bigger. It's really handy during the quake. A lot of people, that's how they were communicating out to tell family and loved ones they were okay because all the phone lines were down. I was telling Katie.
Starting point is 02:00:19 But you don't need that, you don't need a phone line to operate. No, no. So the way they're talking about the internet back in 1995 is how we're talking about AI. Like, we're talking about AI now and like looking back, we're going to sound this retarded. But it's going to go way faster. That's the one difference that I will give people, which I think is good. But like is understandable. The AI, AI is going to follow is following an exponential growth curve.
Starting point is 02:00:46 And human minds literally, this is. isn't like, oh, some people are smarter than others. The human mind is not capable of actually grasping exponentiality. We can draw charts to look at it with the benefit of hindsight, but we can't actually anticipate what that will feel like. We can use AI to create those charts too. That's true. But, you know, like six months ago, GROC was, you know, running 4.3 or whatever it was.
Starting point is 02:01:17 and they were in seventh place of AI chapbot models behind Open AI and Anthropic. And about a month ago, they released GrockBot, which is now just like taking over everything. Yeah, I love it. I don't use it yet. I haven't messed around with it, but it's just, you know, this is how it's going to be. This is exponential kind of growth curves. I haven't invested the, like, I need to take a full day and just, just I turn everything else off. I guess it can't turn off, but I've been doing it on the weekend doing my kids because
Starting point is 02:01:49 if I dedicate a time, like I can get that thing running. I can see like the, like, man, this is kind of mind for it. This is pretty cool. Like I already have a few things like working pretty good, but I can, I think I could build something pretty cool if I had the time to dedicate to it. But all right, man, I'm excited. I need to go to bed. I got my kids up early and off to school tomorrow morning.
Starting point is 02:02:08 So thank you everybody for tuning in. Hit that thumbs up both here and on YouTube. Don't forget about the YouTube guys. I know sometimes we do that. It's on the internet. It's on the internet. Make sure you guys, what's your movie this week, by the way? Oh, it's a good one.
Starting point is 02:02:25 Well, the movies maybe not, but the siege, 1998, Denzel Washington, Bruce Willis, some other people. Chris had texted me right before I watched it and said like, oh my God, the predictive programming in this. So it's about a series of terrorist attacks in New York City that the FBI is trying to trying to solve and then the CIA comes in to help them try to solve these attacks. And then the military comes in and the CIA and the FBI are working against the military. And this was 1998. The terror porn of it was basically every narrative that was then deployed in the aftermath of 9-11. Like it is, we've done 180 something movies on Story Hour.
Starting point is 02:03:13 is probably the most predictive programming that we have ever seen in a movie. And it is super on the nose. They like tell you, hey, uh, our current laws are not equipped to deal with this kind of terrorism. We need to give intelligence free reign to respond to this. And they demonize the military in advance, uh, while lionizing the intelligence community. So it is wild to watch and a little bit dark. Well, I'm excited to see that. The Siege, yeah.
Starting point is 02:03:48 I'll be back on tomorrow 1 p.m. Eastern on the Daily Herald. Make sure you guys tune into that as well. And with that, we're going to get out of here with a video that was sent in by Patriot 17 on the Badlands Boost website. Thank you very much. I'm sure this is going to be awesome. So catch you all later. Hit the thumbs up and we'll see you next time. Give women the vote and the whole country will be damned.
Starting point is 02:04:09 Nonsense. You just want to keep us down. How about two of you get into my machine and tell me what you see? My fartes are now 50% off. Get them now, losers. Okay, we've seen enough. And? Get back to the kitchen, bitch!
