Badlands Media - The Daily Herold: 3/30/26 - Iran War Divide, Social Media vs Reality, and the Fight for Honest Discourse

Episode Date: March 30, 2026

Jon Herold opens the week by digging into the growing disconnect between online narratives and real-world sentiment, using a Matt Walsh post as a jumping-off point to examine public reaction to the Ir...an conflict. He highlights how social media, particularly Twitter, amplifies pro-war voices that don’t reflect what he’s hearing from everyday conversations, where skepticism and opposition appear far more common. From there, Jon explores how online tribalism is distorting honest discussion, with people feeling pressured to defend positions they may not fully believe simply because of group alignment. He breaks down how this dynamic is fueling hostility, suppressing nuance, and turning complex geopolitical issues like Iran and U.S.-Israel relations into binary loyalty tests. The conversation expands into the broader “info war,” where Jon emphasizes the importance of pursuing truth over narratives, even when it leads to uncomfortable or unpopular conclusions. He calls out bad-faith attacks, influencer-driven groupthink, and the role of algorithms in shaping discourse, arguing that meaningful progress only happens through open, sometimes heated, but honest conversations. Jon also previews upcoming in-person discussions at GART, stressing the value of real dialogue over online outrage, and underscores a core theme of the show: if the goal is truth, then disagreement isn’t a threat—it’s a necessity.

Starting point is 00:00:15 Oh, oh, okay. Well, good afternoon, everybody, and welcome to the Daily Herald here on Badlands Media. I'm your host, John Harold. Hope you all had a great weekend, and I don't think I'm going to say happy Monday yet. We'll see how the show goes. Maybe I'll say it after the show, depending. I'm not sure I was asked before the show, what my salt levels were at. That's to be determined, I think, and we'll see what happens.
Starting point is 00:01:00 I have a bunch of tabs open. We're going to go through a whole lot of things, but I want to start the show off. I'm actually going to read a Matt Walsh post on Twitter. I want to talk about it a little bit and kind of explain why I'm so thankful for what we're trying to do here at Badlands and for what we have here in our Badlands community with the discussions we're having and why I'm so excited for Gart, which is like a week away, a little over a week away, because of discussions we'll be having there. I've never been more sure and confident in how important it is. to be having the conversations that nobody wants to have. Let me start with this post. And then I'll be checking it on you guys in the chat.
Starting point is 00:01:41 So you guys have any thoughts or input as usual? Make sure you voice it. And don't forget to hit that thumbs up. But Matt Walsh, and you guys know I've never been a huge Matt Walsh fan, a Daily Wire guy. He's very educated on who has the weaners and who doesn't. That's like the primary source of his content.
Starting point is 00:02:05 But this is something I, this post, I actually kind of agree with. And from my own personal experience, I've had similar conversations with people outside of the Twitter bubble and the Twitter ecosystem. But this way he says, I've never seen such a disconnect between the commentary on this site and what I hear in the normal world, a real world. I've talked to dozens of normal conservatives in real life about the Iran. war and I haven't met a single one who's actually enthusiastically in favor of it at best they are warily optimistic in most cases they're opposed in some cases they're not only opposed but deeply furious and yet here if you utter a word of criticism about the war you'll be shouted down by throngs of alleged American conservatives who allegedly have wanted nothing more than for America to go to
Starting point is 00:02:57 war excuse me with iran man's going to be rough show if i get something in my throat and can't can't talk um it just doesn't reflect what i see on the ground that that's not just cope because my position is unpopular with my side in quotes i've held plenty of unpopular positions i really don't care but in this case the social media versus real word divide is stark and unlike anything i've seen before now i i can relate to this because the very first day when when the conflict started you know I came out and said indefensible and I got just people were so pissed I mean for it a lot of shit lost followers not that I care about followers or viewers or whatever but people
Starting point is 00:03:46 did not like the fact that I was willing to stand by my principles and then talking to my friends outside of this which I continually do you know just every now and then our in our text group will be passing memes back and forth and whatever and be like yeah so what do you guys think this time about the conflict and this is the same it's the same response i would give as matt walsh did here there are very few people i know outside of the the the super hardcore mega cheerleaders online who are like super in favor of this conflict and i got to imagine you guys watching if you asked your friends who don't you know they're not all in on the badlands or the
Starting point is 00:04:27 Q stuff or the devolution stuff or whatever they're just like not super invested into the the info war there's probably very few people that want this conflict that's going on you know what I mean but the problem with with Twitter and the nice thing about having you know some of these people even though we've lost friends along the way you know with COVID and and Trump the first the friends you still have now outside of you know social media you've you've probably been through some shit with each other you know what I mean like you've been able to have these kinds of conversations and not let it ruin your friendships and that that's what's so important right now and something we need to bring to the the
Starting point is 00:05:14 social media infrastructure or whatever I don't even not to describe it we should be able to have honest conversations and discussions about all these things that are going on whether it's the conflict or our relationship with Israel or whatever and we should be able to have these conversations without it just falling apart into tribalism and getting at each other's throats because I do think at the end of the day a lot of you know there's infiltrators there's there's there's grifters there's all sorts of things and people who follow those content creators they choose their you know who they follow because they like what they say they agree with what these people are saying
Starting point is 00:05:56 But then once the tribalism kicks in, they're defending positions that I don't even think they necessarily believe, but they're doing it because they feel like they have to. Everybody has to pick their side and then they have to essentially just defend it like blindly. But being able to disagree with people on the topics and the content, but remain like friendly and able to have the discourse without it devolving into just bad faith ad hominem attack. and all those things. It's so important. And why I'm so excited to guard, we're getting the panels and stuff sorted out. And I can already tell we're going to have multiple very heated discussions,
Starting point is 00:06:40 I think, on some of these topics. And it's good. That is how the meaningful things are actually accomplished. It's not through these, everybody at each other throats, the podcaster of wars. Everybody's just trying to like take everybody else down
Starting point is 00:06:55 and destroy their reputation using, bad faith bullshit. There's no progress there. There's no growth there. A lot of insecurity there though. And a lot of info ops, I would say. But we shouldn't be protecting narratives just because we feel like we have to. Or because our side is the one saying it or whatever.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Or you're scared to, you know, seek the truth. The whole point of the info war and the truth community, as we've said so many times, is to pursue the truth. That's not always going to be comfortable. It's not always going to be easy. And it's not always going to be, you know, backed by the social incentives or the algorithms or whatever. But that's when it's the most important time to pursue it. Yeah, this weekend, I just, there's so much.
Starting point is 00:07:54 Everybody's just at each other's throats still. And it's, it doesn't matter the time. It's, it's new topics every day. Some of it's Iran war. Some of it's Israel. I guess those are kind of the same things. someone's Trump support people aren't allowed to be critical while supporting Trump
Starting point is 00:08:14 I don't know this is just one of those things that's it's always it's always in the back of my mind because I feel like I'm constantly the target of this stuff because I'm trying to you know pursue the truth and plus I have like so many people trying to go after me all the time anyway but anyway Patel Patri I see you're now king yes I did change my name to lotion king
Starting point is 00:08:38 I don't remember why I did that Oh, it's because the no Kings protest. That's why. Do people really not have friends outside of like the social media stuff, which I'm sure that that's possible. I know that happens. And I know a lot of people have made new friends in our little Badlands community. You know, you join your local groups.
Starting point is 00:09:03 But I got to imagine you just have some friends and family that you still interact with routinely outside of that. Been at war for years. It's bound to go Connecticut at some point. I suppose. Most of my friends are very worried about the war. I wish I had friends I would settle for a non-insane wife. Yeah. Stick it out though, man. Hammer Guy 35, we must send troops to get the nuclear dust and weapons of mass destruction again.
Starting point is 00:09:39 We'll talk a little bit about some of the conflict things. I mean, we have updates, I guess. It's not really updates, though, because nothing's really changed. Ms. Wally says, my BFF is a diehard liberal. We agreed long ago to never talk about politics. She hates Trump. I love Trump. We agree to disagree. That's cool that you guys can.
Starting point is 00:10:00 I mean, you don't talk about any of it, but at least you don't let it ruin the friendship. Elf boy, Iran isn't just a war. It's taking out the deep state. Deep state is worldwide. Yeah, a lot of people say that too. And you know, my question about that, and this is another thing I've been thinking about, we've been, we've been, that's one of the talking points that gets pushed when it comes to the Iran conflict is, you know, Trump's not starting a war. He's ending a 47-year conflict. everybody's saying that.
Starting point is 00:10:36 Why didn't we do it the first time around? And had he done the first time around, would we be saying the same thing? And then you'll get met with, you know, timing is everything. Like a whole bunch of goalpost moving. Ramone 222 in a month. A round stuff will be over and we will forget about it.
Starting point is 00:10:58 That's the hope. I do hope so. Some of the side effects will be lingering though. Even if it's done today, I mean, gas prices aren't going to come back down. A lot of the economic stuff, you know that damage has been done and it's going to be there for a while but anyway i just wanted to start the show off talking about that because uh that was that was just what was on my mind
Starting point is 00:11:21 john any of us had friends and family but now but now have absolutely nothing in common with them yeah what about your neighbors you know that's one of the ones that i think is interesting you know i've neighbors to this side of me who like they're the ones with the swimming pool so we go over there now and then, I don't know how political they are. We don't really talk about that whenever we're over there. I mean, they know what I do, although I didn't really describe it. Whenever people ask me that I don't really know, ask me what I do, I said, I own a media company.
Starting point is 00:11:53 And I don't really go any further unless they ask. The people on the other side who those kids brought the blow torch over, I've talked more in depth with him. I think he's watched some of the content. I mean, he's conservative. He works for a camera, isn't it an engineering firm? But he deals a lot with a bunch of like liberals and he he dealt a lot with a lot of the Biden admin DEI stuff that's been rolled back now. And so he's at least to that level, but we never get in depth about any of this stuff.
Starting point is 00:12:23 But we're friendly. But other than that, like, you know, I don't really talk politics or anything with anybody outside of my text group. Fitty Shrimp says we are no longer allowed to have real life friends who don't agree with us 100% of the time. When did that change? It didn't used to be that way. I'm even thinking back to college, like, when I was there in college, I had plenty of friends. I was good friends with that are now liberals. I mean, obviously then we didn't care about politics or talk politics.
Starting point is 00:13:01 But now I feel like it'd be even hard to have friends in college who are liberals. You know what I mean? Feels like that change was recent. Probably Trump 1.0. Quint Coney, if two well-known real estate brokers were the ones being paraded out as negotiators it would help the narrative no one seems to remember anything about Kushner before Trump yeah a lot of the agraham accords are or we're uh Kushner's baby erki freedom it's not just about the deep state in Iran it's about the deep state in the entire region
Starting point is 00:13:39 including Israel it goes out of post that's kind of going viral right now um let me see I can pull this up I think I reshared it yeah here we go what if president Trump is actually waging a war against Israel using Iran as his proxy It's got almost 500,000 views on that baby. And here's the post-trieve shirons as I ran. Cluster bombs already slam. Millions find out on live TV. That's really nice.
Starting point is 00:14:31 This is interesting thought. one of the things we've we we we have bad lands especially ghosts has been kind of waiting for that like the whole when are we going to address the israel problem what if that's what this is it's interesting thought everybody's thinking about it the opposite way though tracing in that says i didn't realize i had liberal friends until obama showed up Bay Theater Dave, my conservative Normie friends never talk politics. A lot of those people are very ignorant. You know, ignorance is bliss type mindset. And you wonder what it's going to take to get them involved if they ever will. They may not.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Polymathenon, I'm limited to my kids and like two other people. The rest think I'm nuts. I think you're a pretty smart dude. By the way, I haven't finished the article yet, but Polymathenon did put a substack together. If you go to his substack, I'll share the link in here in the chat. But if you look up polymath on substack and it's all about the oil industry gas, are they gas lighting about gas?
Starting point is 00:15:43 Great article so far. Anyway, guys, how about we get a quick word from today's sponsors and then we will start plugging away? Get to whatever else we get to. And first up, we got Badlands Shop. If you checked out the Badlands Shop lately, you might be surprised by what you've been missing. From thoughtful gifts and unique finds to everyday household, sorry, everyday household essentials and personal care must-haves. It's truly something for everyone at the Badlands Shop.
Starting point is 00:16:18 But here's where it makes it different. Every single purchase you make is so much more than just buying stuff. You're investing directly in the movement. You're empowering America First businesses, lifting up fellow Badlanders, and supporting the creators who are building this community with us. Thank you for being part of it. Your support means everything. Head on over to badlandsmedia.com.
Starting point is 00:16:34 or click shop on the main menu at badlandsmedia. dot TV and discover your new favorite brands. It's badlandsmedia. dot TV slash shop. And I got to get the new soft disclosure ad in here. The new soft disclosure is so funny if you guys haven't seen yet. TRP 6978 gas price increase is BS way for oil COS to gouge us. Amazing how quick they go up but take these weeks to drop.
Starting point is 00:17:13 And we've been talking about that a little bit. Just Coke says, My best friend has black-pilled heart over Trump Epstein. She truly believes he was part of the pet of circles. We're still best friends. We discuss politics to respect each other's opinions. That's cool. And there are a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:17:25 That was like, again, the first op to split Trump from his base, to attempt to split Trump from his base. And, you know, I don't know how you would, I don't know if I'd call it successful, but it did have some success. Tommy's wrestled. If everyone thinks the opposite is true, then maybe goes is right. And John, you can't be Duke on an insane buzzer beater? Can we discuss what really matters? That was a crazy shot.
Starting point is 00:17:53 I didn't, I haven't really had a chance to watch much of the basketball. But I did see that shot. And that was insane. They were down 19 points at one point. Came back and beat the number one seed. What terrible, uh, everybody gives John Shrier so much. credit for being such good coach. He's had such good teams and he's not a bad
Starting point is 00:18:13 coach, but how do you piss that down your leg? And Karen Boozer, that turnover, that was insane. Just hold onto the ball. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Yukon's coach, Dan Hurley, is a psychopath in a good way, if that's
Starting point is 00:18:29 possible. Dude's insane, but he's like, it's a good insane. He's fun to watch. I do wonder where the tech pros are going to get helium. It's a good thought. Let's see. Quiet Coney, I know contractors making big money on this, not war, and they know it's all BS and are concerned about replacing what they have already lost. It's interesting.
Starting point is 00:18:56 Anyway, let's play our soft disclosure ad, and then we'll start plugging away. Every Easter, one brave bunny takes on a very important mission, spreading Easter joy, but he'll dropping most of it. And sometimes, there's a very important mission. goat-related complications. Skin care is so good even the goats might want it. Easter is really about the greatest victory ever. Hope,
Starting point is 00:19:39 renewal, and a promise kept. And every soft disclosure purchase supports six small American businesses working together. Use Code Grace for 15% off. Soft disclosure. Good for your skin
Starting point is 00:19:59 and apparently approved by goats. P.J. Corgans, in the chat said something I want to read here real quick. By the way, get yourself up disclosure, guys. It's a great way to support Badlands Media and six total American businesses. We've counted that's the number between Annie and all the people she uses in her community to make the products. It's amazing. You're literally supporting America First companies with every purchase and you're supporting Badlands Media in the process.
Starting point is 00:20:30 But PJ Corrigan says Trump pardoned nursing home owner Joseph Schwartz just three months into his sentence for a $39 million fraud scheme. Meanwhile, families who won multi-million dollar wrongful death suits against Schwartz, and it cuts off. But I did just look this up. There's a story that came out about eight hours ago. This is in ProPublica. I think this is probably worth reading. Nurtainel owner got a Trump pardon. The families of his patients got nothing.
Starting point is 00:21:02 Nursing home operator Joseph Schwartz was convicted of a $39 million fraud, but President Trump pardoned him. just three months into a three-year prison term. Swartz is one of several nursing home operators convicted of crimes who were granted clemency by Trump. The families of some patients in Swartz, Schwartz, as nursing homes have been awarded millions of dollars from lawsuits, but they haven't been able to collect from him. I got to wonder,
Starting point is 00:21:26 you know, I don't think that Trump specifically knows the inner workings or the finer details of every single person he, pardons. I mean, people come to him with like, hey, this is who we're going to pardon, this who we're thinking of pardon and he'll sign it. I mean, he has to sign off on it. And I, it just got to wonder why. Like this, this makes me wonder why. I don't see a good, I can't justify this. Not that I'd want to. Colson had been admitted to, uh, let's see if I can find, let me find an actual article on this. Former owner of collapsed nursing home empire
Starting point is 00:22:17 sentenced to 36 months imprisonment for $38 million tax fraud scheme. He pled guilty to two counts in the indictment charging with willfully failing to pay over employment taxes withheld from employees of his company and willfully failing to file an annual financial report, the Department of Labor. According to the indictment, shorts was required to collect truthfully account for and pay over to the Internal Revenue Service, trust fund taxes. Withheld from the pay of employees of Skyline. He caused taxes to be withheld from employees pay, but failed.
Starting point is 00:22:51 did then pay over more than $38 million in employment tax to the IRS. See, that one I'm a little, I don't think I'm as opposed to people not paying taxes as other people. I might be okay with the pardon here. But I think anybody who gets in trouble for not paying taxes should be pardoned. Yeah, that's a lot. $38 million in employment taxes. That's an interesting one. I wonder how many people trouble's pardon for tax stuff.
Starting point is 00:23:41 This wall, he says, great products. Guys, I usually do it own every day. I also have the lip balm. But like Madame Morse-Steirless, I don't have to use it that often. It works so well. There you go. Palin Republican nursing homes kill more people than guns. Death sentence.
Starting point is 00:24:12 Yeah. But that's not what he was doing here. This is a different. Like, when I first read the headline, it makes it seem like, oh, what terrible thing did he commit fraud? He'd do all this stuff. But he's, I think he's kind of based to not pay taxes. Lulberg Forge, I got a buddy who's living in his truck because he didn't get a pardon for not paying taxes. 36 months for $30 million fraud.
Starting point is 00:24:45 Is it fraud though, or is it just not paying? I mean, the government are the ones committing the fraud. That's the thing. But they're putting people in jail for not funding their fraud. I do have a problem with that. I mean, we have this fraud task force. We have Doge. We have all these things.
Starting point is 00:24:58 There's so much fraud in this country. We don't talk about it enough. The government officials don't talk about it enough. And I do not expect our government to be the ones to fix this problem that they have caused. Although I'm sure we'll get some, you know, Band-Aids put out there by the the JD-Vant's task force. But I, no, I don't care if people decide not to pay taxes, and I do not think they should go to prison for it.
Starting point is 00:25:23 It's bullshit. Until they can prove to us that not, it's not even just the fraud, but all the foreign funding and all this stuff, like the misappropriation of funds, until the government can prove to us, if that's even possible, but they can prove to us that they are,
Starting point is 00:25:40 that none of that is happening anymore. We shouldn't be paying taxes when they can just print the money themselves whenever they need it. Don't like it. See him called. He says, John the Liberal. I don't think that's a liberal point of view.
Starting point is 00:25:59 I think it's a pretty, I don't even know if I call myself. I guess I would call myself a conservative. I don't know. I don't, you know, go through the checklist to see where I fall in there and see if the appropriate label fits or whatever.
Starting point is 00:26:11 but I think that's a pretty conservative take. It's like, hey, I don't want my tax dollars if I'm paying taxes to be used for fraud. Anyway, speaking of finding the fraud, there was no update on the Doge website. Gold is at 45-49, silver is over $71. Bitcoin is over 60. Oh, it was over 67 earlier this morning. I found a, that's not like a number, 66661. Yikes.
Starting point is 00:26:58 We talked about this a little bit on Saturday, but in terms of the White House website, the only update is paying our great transportation secretary or security administration officers and employees, Trump signed that executive order. They should be getting paid today, back pay and up to current and whatnot. I don't know if I saw and I was looking for this and then I got distracted and stopped
Starting point is 00:27:20 looking. I don't think the. House or the Senate have come to an agreement on a bill over this over refunding it. Let me see if I can find anything. Yeah, don't see anything. I'm sure that'll happen this week, but maybe not. I think I saw the Senate adjourned until Thursday. And then they're going to be gone for Easter weekend.
Starting point is 00:27:49 So it's all so stupid. What else here? Let's talk about this. Everybody knows Eric Swallow. this is a big topic back when Trump was it when Trump was in office the first time when did that become a meme fangang I don't remember if that was Trump's first term or if it was while Biden was in office but apparently FBI director cash Patel is pushing to release a file that they have on Eric Swalwell and is alleged ties to or ties to alleged
Starting point is 00:28:27 Chinese operative FBI director cash Patel is moving to release a decade old investigative file involving Representative Eric Swalwell and a suspected Chinese intelligence operative directing agents in the bureau's San Francisco field office to expedite redactions and of a potential public disclosure. Patel has also reassigned to multiple FBI agents to revisit the matter with internal discussions reportedly exploring steps to build a criminal case, including the possibility of sending agents to China to interview the woman at the center of the earlier probe. Vicious have also discussed the possibility of facilitating a U.S. visa for Fang in exchange for cooperation with investigators. the individual, Christine Fang, also known as Fang Fang, interacted with Swalwell and other Californian politicians between 2011 and 2015 was reported to have had a personal relationship with him during that period,
Starting point is 00:29:14 assisting with fundraising for his 2014 re-election campaign, helping place an intern in his congressional office, according to prior findings. And I think this stuff, like I'm not opposed to this. You know, it's more so curious why the timing now, I mean, this has always been there, or why we're not doing it. right when you get in there. But regardless of the timing, I think anybody with these ties,
Starting point is 00:29:38 with foreign ties like this, that holds office, and yes, I know, our elections are fake and fraudulent, all those things. But even so, anybody who has foreign ties like this,
Starting point is 00:29:48 whether it's with Fang Fang or Israeli lobbyists or Ukrainian lobbyists, whatever, I don't care. I think it should be exposed and these people should be removed from office 100% and investigated. Like, this is where the real crimes are.
Starting point is 00:30:01 these people who have sold out our country that are committing the fraud and the foreign spending because they have been sold out. 2020, Joe. Will John allow himself to be roasted at a guard? Roasted, I think you said a roosted. I think you meant roasted. And no, I think that's retarded. If people want to roast me, they can do it.
Starting point is 00:30:26 I don't need an entire panel for it. Ramone 222, realistically, John, all taxes are used for fraud as we have no representation. Agreed. Simple Sam, 1779. I get not paying your taxes, but he's stole other people's tax money. Yeah, I get that.
Starting point is 00:30:46 And that's true. But would those other people have paid it? Maybe that doesn't matter. Big Spain, that most of the government or government shouldn't exist. There's your fraud. Dave, I'm a Trump guy. No other political affiliation. You know, I
Starting point is 00:31:08 like to call myself America first, like in every sense of the word. But that word has almost been co-op now. It's been hijacked by the freaking gross. and Nick Fuentes and it's kind of a I mean smart move on their part it makes me not want to call myself America first even though that's 100% what I am like even before mega make America great again because that's also been co-opt and hijacked I'd much rather call myself America first but I don't want to be associated with those guys we need to think of another another phrase now quite connie
Starting point is 00:31:49 they care if us little people screw up by eight hundred dollars but millions are all right not okay just coke I got verbally attacked and called terrible names by strangers from making a comment about on a homeschool Instagram post. I said my husband is head of our house and love that he leads us spiritually. You got attacked for that? USA Inc. versus constitutional republic. What else?
Starting point is 00:32:21 Quicone, if Donald J. Trump can sign an EO to pay people, why do we need Congress? And where is the money coming from? Comes from the money they already set aside. There was a whole bunch, I think, $75 billion that were, it's almost like a slush fund for DHS, which I don't know why they couldn't use it before, why they needed an executive order to to finally pay the TSA agents, but you're right.
Starting point is 00:32:42 And Trump has kind of been proving this this entire term. Why do we need a Congress? Great question. Richard Ward. So is Cog Devolution Active or not? I don't know. Good question. Jojo Jesus, because Swallow is running for some office.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Can't remember, but I think it was Governor of Cali. He's not going to be in the Senate anymore. Look that up. Hold on. Oh, yeah, he's running for governor. Oh, here we go. Good call. Who was that?
Starting point is 00:33:27 Jojo Jesus. Thank you for sending or for that comment. Swalwell accuses Trump of trying to influence California governor's race with old FBI files. Rep Swalwell, a leading Democratic candidate for governor of California has accused President Trump of trying to sway the election following reports that FBI director Cash Patel may release documents from a decade old investigation into the congressman's ties to a suspected Chinese spy. What else referred question to the FBI and the Justice Department? So this is what Swalwell said.
Starting point is 00:34:01 said we're at war. True. Gas prices are soaring. It's true especially in California. And threats against the homeland are on the rise. Also probably true. But instead of concentrating on the issues most important to this country, Donald Trump and Cashpedal decided to continue their revenge tour
Starting point is 00:34:16 and to interfere in the California governor's election. Well, but if you are actually tied to the CCP, if there's any truth to that, I'm totally okay with that coming out or being discussed in further. if they didn't get to the bottom in that file, if there's anything new in there. Hell yeah, bring it out. I think this guy might be Jared Kushner, guys. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:34:53 I look like Jared Kushner, no way. Something will always screw up a good catchphrase for a good movement. Is there a troll in the chat? What are you guys talking about? The bunny says the information is factual about his bang, bang, fang, so that is not election interference. I agree. The Democrats got a lot of nerve complaining about their tactics
Starting point is 00:35:26 finally being turned around on them. I also agree. but they're all hypocrites everybody in government is but i mean it kind of makes us hypocrites too when we're like okay with it we call it out like hey they're just trying to you know do this to interfere in an election but then when our side does it we're like oh yeah just suck it just take it this is just how it is that's okay uh in terms of the iran war trump signals iran talks with new regime warrants deal must be reached uh he said in a true social post no let's just go right to the post how about that
Starting point is 00:36:07 We got a new video highlighting the White House app, which came out. I think, was that over the weekend? Anyway, this is what he said. The United States of America is in serious discussions with a new and more reasonable regime to end the military operations in Iran. Here's a little badlands boop, more reasonable. Great progress has been made, but if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately open for business, we will conclude our lovely stay in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their
Starting point is 00:36:46 electric generating plants, oil wells, and cargo island, and possibly all desalinization plants, which we have purposely not yet touched. This will be the retribution for our many soldiers and others that Iran has butchered and killed over the old regimes, 47-year reign of terror. Thank you for your attention this map. But he doesn't really put a timeline on it. It just says if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, then we'll bomb all these things. Who knows what the timeline is, guys.
Starting point is 00:37:18 Lots of rumors over the weekend about boots on the ground. I don't think we've seen it yet, but I'm not going to be surprised if that happens. Lots of indications are saying that's the case. And that seems to be a red line for a lot of people, which I think is funny. It's actually seen that come from the Q crowd. like is that not interesting like some people who are like trust the plan like this is all the bigger things going on and then their red line is like but if there's boots on the ground here then then we're done Trump lost it and that's the thing I mean it can be the red line for your your principles and you personally maybe you support the war effort until we actually have boots on the ground that's your red line but some of the rhetoric being spread is is much more it's a red line like they that's almost like their black pill moment or if you always just approach everything from truth being your baseline. It's hard to black pill.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Call them like you see him. Hammer Guy 35. Do we want or will we bomb and starve more kids? Obviously, we don't want that. Some people do. Mike Coney, recommend watching the film button that Netanyahu that Kim.com posted on X or wherever you can find it. I think Tucker Carlson just came out with a new documentary on BB Netanyahu. Ramone 222. Boots on the ground will not happen.
Starting point is 00:38:49 UK says no boots. I don't want it to happen, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend like I know what's going to happen, you know? We don't know. Let's hope not, though. Air Q Freedom. There's been no indication of a ground invasion. That's not what I'm saying. Same boots on the ground.
Starting point is 00:39:12 There's been lots of ground forces moved to the region. Special ops, whatever. We may see boots on the ground. Some people's red lines are actually go posts. That's a, I love that. That needs to be on a t-shirt fix baynet. Richard Roar, John, read the drops if going to comment on them, or about them or have Alphalon, bro.
Starting point is 00:39:40 I wasn't commenting on drops. I was commenting on what I see people who decode drops have been saying about the war. Am I not allowed to do that? And don't tell me what I can and can do. I can talk about whatever I want, regardless of who I have on the show. But good to see, Richard Roar. What about flip-flops on the ground? You know, that I might be okay.
Starting point is 00:40:15 with probably be a lot more breathable but it depends you can wear flip flops but you can't wear socks with flip flops or sandals i guess which ones the open-toed ones that i'm okay with socks with those are fine but the ones like the thong version you know where there's like the thing in between your big toe and your second big second toe you cannot wear socks with that that looks ridiculous and the velcro kind you can't wear socks with that either the only the only appropriate time to where socks with sandals is like the open toe i don't even know what's called slides that's it slides thank you polly otherwise unacceptable crox i'm torn across i've never owned a pair of crocs myself i bought them for my kids mainly because it's just so easy for them to put those on my brother
Starting point is 00:41:11 multiple crocs it's just funny he's like this you know big six five two hundred seventy pound beast of a man where's crox burgen stocks yes that's the kind that's what i'm talking about adam carpenter says my red line is crocs on the ground especially with socks thank you see these are the debates we need to be having when is it appropriate to wear socks when you're getting put to the ground in the middle east i bet crocs are comfortable but i just have regular slip-on shoes i think they're Travis Matthews. I went through a period where I would only ever buy Travis Matthews stuff. And this is like
Starting point is 00:41:54 three years ago, two years ago, and it's all I ever wear still. I had to buy new clothes in forever. Toes socks. Are you insane? Who would wear toe socks? Like gloves for your toes? That's weird.
Starting point is 00:42:19 Jesus sandals, yes, but that's what I'm talking you can't wear socks with Jesus sandals. Unless you're Jesus. He can do whatever he wants. Prox of the shit out here on the farm. don't you get i guess i just don't understand it like if if you're going for the ease and like you want breeziness or whatever just wear sandals but if you want to like protect your feet more wear shoes i don't understand the here's a shoe but a bunch of holes in it i just i just don't get it yeah my kids love them you can get the little uh things charms to put in them and
Starting point is 00:43:00 went through a phase where i had to buy a lot of those but right now my kids I don't think I think my kids grew out of all their crocs and right now they don't have any but summer's coming up I'm sure we'll get more anyway let's get back to the the news and whatnot um this was on CNN right now I thought it might be worth reading this they have a story that says a recession is guaranteed but when their main article recession is guaranteed but when that's actually I don't don't know what I mean it wouldn't surprise me if we're already in a recession of sorts it feels like that let's just see what they're saying about it the US economy's under strain and the oil price shock could tip it over into recession there's a quote people are preparing themselves for
Starting point is 00:43:54 the fact that we are already in a recession now or that there's a high likelihood there will be one soon problem timing of recession is extraordinarily hard how do we know that article was from a CNN story in July it feels like we've been kind of in a recession since way back before before COVID. That's when oil was last over $100 in gas prices average about $5 a gallon. The reason to be concerned now. President Donald Trump's economic agenda, including his
Starting point is 00:44:24 tariffs and immigration policy created a cloud of uncertainty. We're still very concerned about the trade war. Yeah, this is where they've had some success fighting against Trump in the narrative warfare aspect of things because there's a lot of truth behind it. I think Trump is trying to do a lot of very unique things to earnestly help the middle class.
Starting point is 00:44:46 I just think he's being fought in so many different arenas, including in media, but also by the courts, we haven't felt it yet. It hasn't happened yet. Things don't feel better. And know, like, a bigger tax refund when I consider taxation to be theft, period.
Starting point is 00:45:04 It's like, here, here's more of your money we stole from you. We'll give you a little bit more. And then we're going to spend the rest of it on fraud. or sending overseas so you can get funneled back into presidential campaigns. Like that doesn't make me feel any better. I don't give a shit about how big the tax refunds are. People shouldn't be paying taxes. But if that's the only thing you can tout as your economic win,
Starting point is 00:45:27 like here, we're helping middle America with a bigger tax refund. You're not winning the real economic war, nor are you winning the narrative war. the propaganda war either clutch work says I got fired last month so bring on lockdown 2.0 yeah Annie Marie Wright says you could say that at any time
Starting point is 00:45:59 they do with the debt where it's at like yeah you really could just Coke wait is this the recession as defined by O'biden or the original definition of recession I don't know I'm not an economist so I don't know how to define it polymath on I'm not getting any
Starting point is 00:46:25 better only worse I don't get refunds. I don't pay taxes. Good for you, man. New K's money just isn't going as far as it should be. That doesn't help when you don't pay. Tattoo teacher says, same here. Retired means fixed income with rising prices. That's for a lot of people. This is the thing. It's like, you know, I'm personally like very, a very optimistic person. I believe fully that there is something bigger going on behind the scenes. I, you know, I obviously believe Trump had meant to devolution. I feel like I've said this so many times. I'm, I believe that. I believe Trump had been to devolution. I feel like I've said this so many times. I'm. I'm, I'm, I believe I believe I've said this so many times. I'm. I I have to like couch it and like hey just reminder guys these are all the things I believe because what I'm about to say is I'm going to get called like a doomer for or whatever like just remember all those things like I believe all that stuff and I believe Trump is working to get us to that golden age that we've been wanting and talking about that so many people believed was like it's it's right there all we need to do is getting back in and we know they're going to steal the election or whatever but they didn't it's like oh my gosh that was way
Starting point is 00:47:42 too easy golden age here we come And for a year and a half now, you complain about something. And people are like, no, it's too soon. Like, what'd you expect? What'd you expect? Do you expect it right away? No. At least giving time.
Starting point is 00:47:59 He's only been there for two months. He's only been there four months. It's only been there a year. It's only been there for 14 months. And so I understand that argument. I understand wanting to be patient and willing to be patient and being optimistic about things happening in the future. That does not make it any easier right now.
Starting point is 00:48:17 like we we feel it too guys at badlands not just like from you know the economics side of things like sponsors spending money on shows that's down across the board from where it was back in the day donations that we get on stream that's down viewership like is trending upwards but our viewers when you guys feel the economic hardships we feel that too so we get it and we also think it's okay to like talk about it it's not going to happen to overnight. Yes, people would say that all the time. Scott Galt. Deep State is fighting the golden age right and left. Yes,
Starting point is 00:49:09 they are. T. Gretzky. Golden Silver are breaking records. Yes, that is the good thing, but also, not everybody has golden silver. Tegreti says, Elon posted this weekend that people will not have to work much longer, perfect timing as I'm getting close to retirement. I don't know if I love that. We talked about that on, I think it was last week, Wednesday's
Starting point is 00:49:30 power hour. The whole AI push and robots and people won't have to work I just don't love it. And it's weird to see like, does nobody else find it weird that all these like tech bros, all these tech bros pushing us to that future where robots do everything for us and whatnot? Like these people back in high school growing up, like most of them super nerdy, they didn't have probably the best social lives.
Starting point is 00:49:59 They probably weren't good at making like personal human connections. and now they're the ones kind of lecturing us and like ushering this into this age where they are taking away other people's personal human connections. Do you guys not see that as a problem? Like it would be one thing if, you know, normal people who could like go talk to girls or whatever, whatever you want to say, we're the ones that are like building this. But it's all the people that you wouldn't look in the eye when you have a conversation with them, right?
Starting point is 00:50:33 Or whatever. like just super socially awkward autistic not that there's anything wrong with that but they're the ones that are taking that human connection away from everybody else by pushing all this tech. Melanie having a press conference with a robot and pushing it as the future teacher of our children do you're asking yeah I mean I'm not a huge fan of that I doubt we're gonna see robots like maybe maybe I shouldn't say a doubt because who knows but I would like to think we're not going to see robots actually leading a class but I could see use cases for robots like helping out being assistants.
Starting point is 00:51:10 Joe Joe Jesus says I'm a senior disabled still work for 10 hour days instead of paying $7,800 in federal tax for 2025. This year I only have to pay $231. It helps. It does help. But again, that's not the point. Like, so what are they doing with the $231 that you're, that you're, that you are paying? Where are they putting it?
Starting point is 00:51:42 They're spending on fraud. That's crazy that I'm not going to say that. Eric Kew Freeman, my wife and I were just discussing the robotics topic earlier this morning. She's worried about it. I'm not. I wouldn't say that I'm worried about it. I don't know how to describe it. I just like there's with everything that's coming.
Starting point is 00:52:13 I have my thoughts on it. And I just like I know it's coming to matter what. They eye dystopia. I don't it doesn't necessarily have to be a dystopian future. But it's by having the conversations and like making sure that we implement the use of robotics in a way that isn't dystopian. Because using it just as a tool. Yeah. Great.
Starting point is 00:52:40 But you already see so many people that. that are after COVID, they've just lost all human connection and lost a lot of personal relationships. And they've brought that back by either communicating with bots online, back and forth online with bots or through AI. Then you implement robots. Like these people are never going to have real friends again. Not everybody, some people. I hope we see a world where people don't send their kids to the training camps.
Starting point is 00:53:10 With training camps. Ramone 222, tax or criminal, no way to reason out of that bubble. agreed. Skeptical says it's post-scarcity. They mean won't have to work to survive is the point. Yeah. I don't know. It's just interesting to think about. Dragon 45, don't you think they want you afraid of it? Maybe it's because it will actually be good for humanity. I don't know anymore. I don't know. I don't know either. That's a good thought, though. Skeptical says they'll have, they'll actually have more time to go out and make real friends. You forget that aspect. If they do that, though. We don't even have it now when people like barely go outside and make real friends.
Starting point is 00:54:19 Anyway, it's already, I have like five minutes left and I feel like I didn't get through any of my tabs. What happened today? Scalisi says, Senators have buyers remorse over the DHS funding vote. They're furious with their Senate colleagues over their decision to vote for a limited funding package. Everybody's mad at each other. Oh, this is cool. Trump's signature is going to appear on U.S. paper currency.
Starting point is 00:54:47 He'll be the first president, I think. Yeah, first sitting president to have a signature on American paper currency. Here's if they do any other redesigns with that. This is a lot of the rhetoric we're seeing now, and it's going to keep going. I said this was going to come back when people first started talking about the midterms in like August of 2025. But a month into I ran, the GOP's political reality sinks in. Nevada, gallon of gas is approaching $5. Pennsylvania farmers are fretting about the prices of fertilizer.
Starting point is 00:55:17 or Michigan supply chain woes are throwing a wrench into the manufacturing and auto industry operations. One month into the Iran war, a new political reality is sinking in for Republicans in these and other battlegrounds. The war may not end as quickly as they initially hoped, and the literal and figurative costs keep rising. Thank you surreal for gifting that subscription. Each week, the war drags on, prolongs the pain Americans feel. Agreed, we feel that. Economists have warned gas prices, could continue to remain high for months, even if the U.S. immediately de-escalates in Iran. Extended conflict also raises the risk of increased casualties, especially if U.S. service members are deployed to on-the-ground combat.
Starting point is 00:55:59 It could sour-making voters who support of President Donald Trump hinged in part on their opposition to forever wars and foreign regime change. Some Republicans worry the war will depress turnout among staunch America-first proponents ahead of crucial midterm elections. I think it's also gay, guys. you know how fraudulent the elections are, but maybe, maybe, because there is so much truth to what they said there, maybe the reason Trump obviously doesn't want the Save America Act to pass. I think it's obvious.
Starting point is 00:56:34 A lot of people disagree, but he wants to be able to point to the election fraud instead of this shit. I don't know, the midterm talk. It's going to be so interesting. We're going to be talking about this at Gart, the midterms, the voting. It's going to be one of our most contested panels. So make sure you guys tune in. Oh yeah, this is where I saw the Senate adjourns till Thursday. It's DHS shutdown, drags on with no agreement.
Starting point is 00:57:08 I haven't read this article yet. I had the tab open because I want to. But I think it's interesting thought. Liberals won't confront fraud because they still believe government is the solution. I'm just sitting here thinking, but there's so many people in the truth community now who think, government is the solution. But again, I haven't read the article yet, so I'm going to do that, and we'll talk about that tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:57:33 I thought this was interesting. Iran alleged a series of false flags, including on Kuwait water plant, designed to perpetuate war. We talk about, you know, the possibility and use of false flags all the time. You're on badlands. It's like, anytime anything happens, like, oh, that's a false flag. That's a false flag. False flag. How are they not doing it all over this place with this conflict?
Starting point is 00:57:56 They definitely are. J.D. Vance was the top CPAC straw poll getter. I think was it Rubio finished second? Yeah, Vance, 53% Rubio, second place at 35%. I wish they would have polled and asked who wanted Trump to run for a third term. That would have been an interesting one. NATO member Spain closed its airspace to U.S. planes involved in Iran operations. I bet we will see some retribution from Trump on that.
Starting point is 00:58:30 in the form of tariffs or some shit. I'm just like cruising through my headlines right now, guys. So hold for processing. Not with that, I think I'm going to wrap her up. I do got one more sponsor. I want to read real quick. And that is Rumble Wallet. It's been super awesome to us.
