A post claims Trump purchased up to a million dollars of NVIDIA stock on January 6, one week before the commerce department approved NVIDIA chip sales to China. Jon pulls the disclosure live and confirms the purchase is real, then asks the harder question: if the stock did not actually go up right after the sale, is it even insider trading? He also plays Trump's comments from Beijing defending the 500,000 Chinese students in American universities on the grounds that the university system needs the money to survive, and Jon does not love it. The Trump-Xi summit produced trade and investment oversight boards, a Boeing commitment that could grow to 750 jets, and up to $50 billion in farm and energy purchases. Today was her last day of school. still went to their mass and their little moving up ceremony thing this morning. Didn't have as much show prep as I normally would, but I don't think it matters. I kind of want to dig into it a little bit. Breaking. Trump purchased up to a $1 million worth of NVIDIA stock on January 6, 2026. This is a week before the conference. Commerce Department officially approved the sale of Nvidia chips to China. I just want to dig into it. I'm always interested when Trump's

disclosures come out. You can kind of see what crypto he has and whatnot. So we're going to dig into that a little bit. Kind of a live a live dig. I have the thing open now. So I'm like kind of looking through it as I'm stalling.

But it doesn't necessarily mean anything nefarious. But it's kind of bullshit. I mean, I wish I could buy a million dollars with of it, Nvidia stock before they are allowed to sell chips to China. But let's see here. NVIDIA.

Okay, so here's the disclosure. 113 pages. Invideo corp, there's a purchase on 210 of 2026, anywhere from $1 million to $5 million. And he has a lot of stock. Dude is loaded. Here's another one. Invita Corp unsolicited.

And yes, January 6th, 2026, between $500,000 and $1 million. I wonder about the difference. See how this one is just, Nvidia Corp and then some of these say unsolicited. Is there anybody smarter than me who knows what that means? Let's look it up. Okay. The phrase unsolicited in Invidia Corp unsolicited, most likely refers to an unsolicited

mini-tender offer for Nvidia stock. Invidio disclosed that it received an unsolicited mini-tender from TRC capital to buy one million shares. Unsolicited means it was made without Nvidia asking for it or approving it in a advance is a third party attempt to buy small block of invidia shares directly from shareholders. Huh. It doesn't really make it that much more clear for me. Paspirin says if we go with John's fence slash gate job, we should make co-managers shirts instead.

I am a great co-manager, a great micro co-manager, in fact. Reno's and John, will you autograph a co-founder shirt? I guess I'd sign anything, pretty much anything. No, maybe we should verify. When did the Commerce Department approve the sale of chips? I have an article here from May 14th. What did the post say? It was January, so the week before. So that would have been January, second week of January? Let's look that up. January 26th, the Commerce Department formally approved exports of Nvidia's H-200 AI

trips to China, but only under new conditions. The reporter requirements included adequate U.S. supply third-party testing security measures. Let's see what you can find with the date. January 13th? Yeah, it looks to be accurate reporting, guys. What do you think? I wonder what Nvidia stock went up between then.

NVIDIA stock. January, 2006. He purchased it. And actually, it went down after the sale. He purchased on January 6, right, right here. It opened at 190. Tye was 192, low was 186. The sale to China was January 13th.

It opened at 185, 188. So depending when he bought it, this didn't necessarily make him money. And it's definitely gone up since then. But it really didn't break through until late April. I mean, obviously today it's doing well. So I don't know. If, let's just hypothetically say that there was some shenanigans here, some wrongdoing. Can you actually even call it wrongdoing if you don't make money on the insider training?

What does that mean? I mean, now they've made money, but they're trying to imply that he bought it, knowing that the sale was going to go through. I don't know. Asperns, it's not Trump himself doing it. I don't give a shit if they buy sale. The dude's a billionaire. That's my thoughts too. Well, we have another one that's fairly similar and it has to do with Chinese students here. Let's take a listen. This is a longer video, but I think it's important to listen to the whole thing. So about three minutes, I am going to speed it up a hair. Maybe we'll pause as we go through.

I would assume I'm in Beijing if I wanted to buy property near one of their military installations. I don't think President Xi. No, it's not that I love it. You want to see farm prices drop. You want to see farmers lose a lot of money. Just take that out of the market. But they've had a lot of land for a long time.

Obama did not. Phil Scarborough makes a good point in the chat. Just a reminder, he says, remember to take Trump seriously, not literally. And yes, Trump, I've said this so many times, Trump is not somebody you can ever take at face value. Because we constantly know he's doing siops. And this makes me think of, or before we even get to the clip, it makes me think of the H1B visa situation when Trump came out and like, oh, well, we do need people on H1B visas. We do need them here. We do need them to do all whatever. And everybody freaked out. And then they ended up like not doing that thing anyway or not yet. It's it's all over the map, right? Both sides of all the issues. And here he is, I would argue, taking not an America first position with what he's about to say. But that doesn't mean that's actually how it's going to go through. We already have all these students in America, by the way, the 500,000 Chinese students. I think it's probably more than that.

Fresh off a meeting, and he's in China, I think when he's recording this, he's obviously going to say nice things about Chinese people. And, you know, he doesn't want to offend anybody while he's there. He's going to make any changes or comment on it. You know, honestly, it's probably going to be when he's back home. And after some deals have already been cemented. Nothing about it. They bought a lot of it during the Obama administration.

He did nothing. about it. As far as the students, it's 500,000 students they come, good students. I could tell them, I don't want any students is a very insulting thing to say to a country. They would then immediately go out inside building universities all over China. But if you don't have those students, good students, by the way. If you don't, and we do another thing, you know, if they're good and they want to stay in America, we won't give them a green card and things like that. Not only them, but other other countries. But if you want to see a university system die,

take a half a million people out of it. And you know, the ones that won't be heard are the top schools. The top schools will do fine, but you lower schools, you're lower the ones that don't do quite as well. Those two, they'll be dying all over the place. You know, when it comes to this,

the point he's making here, first of all, I mean, this is the guy that said he wants to get rid of the education department, right, dismantle it. I don't know it's different from the universities itself, but it's all such a racket, the way it all works. It's there's no actual competition here.

It's they're putting kids into debt to go here. It's like debt slavery. It starts when you go to college, right? And it's a cultural thing where people come out of high school and they feel like they have, the pressure is on like you have to go to college. It shouldn't be that way. The trade schools are a perfectly okay route. I personally did not graduate from college.

I know a lot of people who didn't, a lot of successful people. But I also know a lot of successful people who did. And it's different for everybody, but it's, it's their indoctrination camp. I don't necessarily think like if if we can reform the college system so that it's not so expensive and maybe maybe you don't have to go into debt to attend if you can get rid of the woke the wokeness from it I don't know I think getting rid of 500,000 students and maybe opening the doors to other people who want to pursue college but otherwise couldn't I don't think that's a bad thing I don't think it necessarily means that the colleges have to die maybe the endowment

system needs to be more of a welfare like they share it all i think we should seize the endowments by the way but um i don't know there's there's so many there's a lot of um big important discussions that should be taking place surrounding what needs to happen with the the education in this country because it is very much broken all the way down and again i don't have all the answers but it does seem like that's something we don't talk about enough whenever there's a big story or something happens or whatever there's something viral going on the conversation will be restarted again and it's kind of like that with everything there's so much information out there tension spans are so short but there's a real conversation that needs to to happen with education system it needs to be reformed

greatly penn w i went to a trade school uh a trade high school we had all types of good trade classes they cut that out years ago my granddaughters go to the same high school now they offer no technical courses. Revolnator, how dare you second guess our president? See, that's the thing. I believe that's what he wants us to do. Other people don't. H.R. B. L. Amont says, I don't mind a lot of university dying. I was hoping Harvard was going to go down, alas. Yeah, I'm with you there. Spencellasel, the racket is government-backed student loans. Those inflate prices, decreased competition, and results in crappy schools and degree plans. Yes. Also, the DEI stuff. That, uh, definitely never helps things.

And you look at the teachers, some of the teachers that are in these schools are just disgustingly bad. R. R. Hodi depends on the field. They got my degree because I had to for a raise, but learn nothing. So like I would never hire somebody based on like whether or not they have a degree, you know. I want to look at their experience and, and whether or not they can get stuff done and or what I need to have a good personality.

And then obviously, like, they got to be black or Asian or something, you know, minority. Obviously, joking. But I don't know, the degree doesn't, it doesn't, like, it's not a selling point to me. I know it's like that for a lot of people. Calvary O3, good to see ya, says, get the government funding out of paying for college and price will drop drastically. 100%. Totally agree. T. Gratsey, I absolutely agree, John, was thinking about this issue after reading a post about people feeling bad for the rapist and not the victim.

etc Marxist teaching at universities receiving federal dollars yeah how many how many people and I hear these stories all the time at in person at the guards people always talk about like oh my son and daughter you know we lost them to to liberalism you know maybe they're kind of coming around but a lot of people say that and a lot of people who have that story say they lost them to liberalism while they're at the university it's crazy He's been, unfortunately, many companies are the opposite. All they care about is seeing that degree. It's a party of false decorum thing.

I frankly think that it's good that people come from other countries and they learn our culture and many of them want to stay here. I think it's good. Not everybody agrees with me. And it doesn't sound like a very conservative position. And I'm as conservative. I'm a conservative guy. I'm really a common sense guy, I think more than a conservative guy. I think MAGA is common sense.

You know, people understand we want strong borders. We want strong military. So we want good education. We want low interest rates. You know, we want, but I think people would argue they worry about, do they have nefarious? Sure, I know. And we worry about that. And honestly, you know, they do things else and we do things to them.

It's a very, very fine line, the whole thing with students. So they have 500,000 students. And our university system does great. You know, it does great. Do they really, though? It's okay to disagree with Trump, guys. We embrace the friction that this to me this sounds more like the Trump we had on the campaign trail is different than the Trump now He's obviously doing different things. He's always publicly negotiating like Chris says

You know that this sounds like I don't know Does it doesn't sound like the same the same Trump He's he's up to something here You want to screw it up take a half a million students now and you're gonna you're gonna see bankruptcies at the lower end of good colleges but they're not known or whatever you can have a lot of problems so it's something I'm always looking at but it's a very insulting thing to tell a country we don't want your people in our schools I mean it really is now I have people say oh that's a

terrible thing you know it is very insulting thing and it's very interesting it's something didn't come up today came up last time came up last time but I will tell you that school systems don't want that to happen because you won't have bunch of a school system all right miss I don't know guys of all these excuses as to why to keep Chinese students, 500,000 of them in in America and not like get rid of them. For the sake of the survival of the universities is not the excuse of the top of my list. Not a huge man, but also, I mean, it is what is. I don't know what he's publicly negotiating for here or what the deal is, but is what it is.

Jetpack Jones does China send their students to the lesser schools? Maybe Hammer Guy 35 Trump is my Lord and Savior I follow him 150%. Love it. I was insulting to tell the country we do not want their citizens

in our schools. I don't think it is. But again, he's in China. And maybe this is just me coping. I don't know. But I don't know if it's that because I'm not in favor of what he said.

So I don't know how that's coping. But I guess I'm kind of trying to justify it in my own mind. Yeah, that's a good question. How many American students does China take? How many? American students go to college in China. The number is now roughly 700 to 800 American students, not 1,000, not 700,000, not 800,000, 700 to 800,000.

Less than 1,000. That is ridiculous. That is below pre-pandemic level. One source sites about 11,000 U.S. students in China in 2019. I wonder, let's look at the population size. Population of China. Now we've got to do a little math here. You open an Excel spreadsheet.

And they have 1.4 billion. So I'm trying to see if it's like the same percentage. So they have 1.4 billion. And they have 500. I don't even know how to write 1.4 billion. I think that's a billion right there. It'd be 14 with how many zeros. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 zeros, right?

Is that right? 500,000 students. And then we have, what's our population? Like 300 some million? This is really important, guys. So bear with me. We have 342 million. And we send 800 students.

Well, that's insane. It doesn't even give me a good percentage here. So percentage-wise, it's not even close. I got the numbers here. For them, they send 0.0357% of their, students or population to America for school, we send point zero zero two three. So you all learn something here today. Don't ever tell anybody I don't teach you something.

We all learn something new. How many white dudes get a scholarship from the United Negro College Fund? Do you want to ask AI that? I bet it's probably close to zero. Did John say China has 14 billion? No, one point. one wait hold on what did i what did i say i say one point four billion yeah which is a 14 with i think eight zeros case we're we got to move on i'm i'm losing that right now um a couple other

comments from trump this one's probably not going to make people feel great you talk about the fact that somebody's paying two and a half from you know i had it down to 185 in iowa a gallon so now it's $4 and it's going to not be long. And as soon as the war ends, it's going to go down to lower than it was before. It's going to be very quick. And, you know, when I explain it to people, all you have to do is say, do you think Iran, they're crazy, should have a nuclear weapon? Everybody says no. I said, well, then you think I'm doing the right thing. And I have no choice. The sad thing is that we just broken every record on the stock market, as you know. I thought the market would go to have 20, 25 points.

It didn't. It's higher now than it was before we started. All right. If you want you. But is that amazing. It is. Stock market is good. I think it's something like only 60 to 70% of people in America are actually in the stock market.

Director John Rackcliffe traveled to Cuba on Thursday and delivered a message from Washington,

offering deeper engagement with Havana if the communist government agrees to fundamental changes to its political system. He met with senior Cuban lawmakers during what is believed to be only the second known visit by a CIA director to the island since Cuba's 1959 communist revolution. Seems surprising to me. maybe not a director going, but I feel like the CIA has been, CA probably led the communist revolution. The U.S. reportedly told Cuban officials it would seriously engage with the government, but only if the major reforms were implemented. Cuban government said both sides discussed expanding cooperation between law enforcement,

agencies in the area tied to national, regional, and international security. And then the U.S. State Department announced it is prepared to provide $100 million in aid to Cuba. More taxpayer dollars go into a country that is not our own. And I can confidently say fuck that. Catherine Harridge posted speaking of CIA, Rand Paul Senator Ron Johnson sent a letter to the CIA director, formerly warning against retaliation after whistleblower alleges COVID-19 cover-up. So some scissoring going on between members of Congress and the CIA.

That's always fun to watch. Minnesota House report accuses the Walls administration of enabling massive fraud. And I would consider this to be the yeah, no shit report of the day. Let's see if there's actually any criminality found. But yeah, they released a final report Tuesday by the Minnesota House fraud prevention and state agency oversight committee. It's kind of funny they even have one of those, considering all the fraud that we've been shown this last year.

But yeah, they've accused Governor Tim Walls' administration. of fostering a culture of tolerance that allowed fraudsters to siphon billions of taxpayer dollars from state and federal programs. I haven't read through this now, but scratching the surface of the actual fraud that's out there.
